The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi in the morning will be protected from the jinn until evening, and whoever recites it in the evening will be protected from them until morning."
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says in the morning and evening: (Say: He is Allah, the One) and the two Mu'awwidhatayn (Al-Falaq and An-Nas), he will be protected from everything. And whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi after every prayer, nothing prevents him from entering Paradise except death."
We have entered the morning and the dominion belongs to Allah, and all praise is due to Allah. There is no deity except Allah alone, without partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is over all things competent. O Lord, I ask You for the good of this day and the good of what follows it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil of what follows it. O Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and the evil of old age. O Lord, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire and the punishment of the grave.
O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no deity but You, You created me and I am Your servant, and I uphold Your covenant and promise as best as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your blessings upon me, and I confess my sins. Forgive me, for none forgives sins except You. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says it with certainty in the evening and dies that night will enter Paradise, and the same when said in the morning."
I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad ﷺ as my Prophet. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says it in the morning and evening, it is incumbent upon Allah to please him on the Day of Resurrection."
O Allah, I testify before You, before the bearers of Your Throne, Your angels, and all Your creation, that You are Allah, there is no deity but You alone without partner, and that Muhammad is Your servant and Messenger. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says in the morning: 'O Allah, I testify before You, before the bearers of Your Throne, Your angels, and all Your creation, that You are Allah, there is no deity but You alone without partner, and that Muhammad is Your servant and Messenger,' his sins for that day will be forgiven. If said in the evening, his sins for that night will be forgiven." Reported in Sunan Abu Dawood (Hadith 4480)
O Allah, whatever blessing has come to me or to any of Your creation this morning is from You alone, without partner. So for You is all praise and all thanks. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says in the morning: 'O Allah, whatever blessing has come to me or to any of Your creation is from You alone, without partner. So to You is all praise and thanks,' has fulfilled the gratitude for that day."
Allah is sufficient for me, there is no deity except Him. I have placed my trust in Him, and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says in the morning and evening: 'Allah is sufficient for me, there is no deity except Him, in Him I put my trust, and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne,' seven times, Allah will suffice him in all matters of this world and the Hereafter."
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing in the earth or the heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever says: 'In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing in the earth or the heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing,' three times in the morning, nothing will harm him.”
O Allah, by You we enter the morning, and by You we enter the evening, and by You we live and by You we die, and to You is the resurrection.
We have entered the morning upon the natural religion of Islam, the word of sincerity, the religion of our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and the way of our forefather Abraham — upright and a Muslim — and he was not among the polytheists.
Subḥān Allāh wa bi ḥamdih (Glory is to Allah and praise is to Him) — as numerous as His creation, as much as pleases Him, as heavy as His Throne, and as the ink of His words. The Prophet ﷺ said: “I have said after you four words, three times, that if they were weighed against what you have said since this morning, they would outweigh them: ‘Subḥān Allāh wa bi ḥamdih, ʿadada khalqih, wa riḍā nafsih, wa zinata ʿarshih, wa midāda kalimātih.’”
O Allah, grant me well-being in my body, O Allah, grant me well-being in my hearing, O Allah, grant me well-being in my sight. There is no deity except You.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from disbelief, poverty, and I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. There is no deity except You.
O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my faults and calm my fears. O Allah, protect me from before me, from behind me, from my right, from my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your greatness from being taken unaware from beneath me.
O Ever-Living, O Sustainer, by Your mercy I seek help. Rectify for me all my affairs, and do not leave me to myself even for the blink of an eye.
We have entered the morning, and the kingdom belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds. O Allah, I ask You for the good of this day: its victory, its help, its light, its blessings, and its guidance. And I seek refuge in You from the evil within it and the evil after it.
O Allah, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Lord and Sovereign of all things, I bear witness that there is no deity except You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my soul, and from the evil of Satan and his associates, and from committing evil upon myself or bringing it upon another Muslim.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
O Allah, send Your blessings, peace, and grace upon our Prophet Muhammad. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever sends blessings upon me morning and evening will receive my intercession on the Day of Judgment."
O Allah, we seek refuge in You from associating anything with You knowingly, and we seek Your forgiveness for what we do not know.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, and I seek refuge in You from weakness and laziness, and I seek refuge in You from cowardice and miserliness, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and being overpowered by men. The Prophet ﷺ said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to frequently say this supplication."
I seek forgiveness from Allah the Almighty, the One besides whom there is no deity, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer, and I repent to Him. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says: 'I seek forgiveness from Allah the Almighty, the One besides whom there is no deity, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer, and I repent to Him,' will be forgiven, even if he had fled from the battlefield."
O my Lord, to You belongs all praise as befits the majesty of Your Face and the greatness of Your Sovereignty. One of the angels ascended with these words and said: “O Lord, Your servant has said something, and we do not know how to record it?” So Allah said: “Record it as My servant said it, until he meets Me and I will reward him for it.”
There is no god but Allah, alone with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is over all things competent. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says: 'There is no god but Allah, alone with no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is over all things competent,' one hundred times in a day, it will be as if he freed ten slaves, one hundred good deeds will be recorded for him, one hundred sins will be erased from him, and it will be a protection for him from Shaytan that day until evening. No one will come with anything better except someone who did more than that."
O Allah, You are my Lord; there is no deity except You. Upon You I rely, and You are the Lord of the Great Throne. Whatever Allah wills happens, and whatever He does not will does not happen. There is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great. I know that Allah is capable of all things, and that He encompasses all things in knowledge. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my own self and from the evil of every creature You have control over by its forelock. Indeed, my Lord is on a straight path.
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever says in the morning: ‘Subhan Allah wa bi Hamdih’ one hundred times, his sins will be forgiven even if they are like the foam of the sea.”
