Ayat al-Kursi

اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۖ وَلَا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi in the morning will be protected from the jinn until evening, and whoever recites it in the evening will be protected from them until morning."

Last Verses of Surah Al-Baqarah (285–286)

A‘ūdhu billāhi min al-shayṭān al-rajīm [أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنْ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ آمَنَ الرَّسُولُ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ رَبِّهِ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۚ كُلٌّ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ ۚ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِنْ رُسُلِهِ ۚ وَقَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ. لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۚ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا اكْتَسَبَتْ ۗ رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِنْ نَسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ ۖ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا ۚ أَنْتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ.] Surah Al-Baqarah: 285–286 The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah in the evening, they will suffice him."

Surah Al-Ikhlas

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ، اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ، لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ، وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says in the morning and evening: (Say: He is Allah, the One) and the two Mu'awwidhatayn (Al-Falaq and An-Nas), he will be protected from everything. And whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi after every prayer, nothing prevents him from entering Paradise except death."

Surah Al-Falaq

Surah An-Nas-2

The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says in the morning and evening: (Say: He is Allah, the One) and the two Mu'awwidhatayn (Al-Falaq and An-Nas), he will be protected from everything. And whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi after every prayer, nothing prevents him from entering Paradise except death."

Supplication: “Amsayna wa Amsa al‑Mulk”

We have entered the evening, and to You belongs all Dominion and Praise. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah alone, without partner. To Him is dominion and to Him is praise, and He is over all things competent. My Lord, I ask You the good of this night and the good of what follows it. And I seek refuge in You from the evil of this night and the evil of what follows it. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and the evil of old age. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire and the punishment of the Grave. The Prophet ﷺ said: “When he entered evening he would say this, and when he entered morning he would say: ‘Asbahna wa Asbaha al‑Mulk lillah’.”

The supplication of the master of forgiveness

O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no deity except You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I uphold Your covenant and promise as best I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your blessings upon me, and I confess my sins. So forgive me, for none forgives sins except You. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says this in the evening with certainty and dies before morning will be among the people of Paradise."

I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, Islam as my religion, and Muhammad ﷺ as my Prophet

I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad ﷺ as my Prophet. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says it in the morning and evening, it is incumbent upon Allah to please him on the Day of Resurrection."

Evening Testimony of God's Oneness and Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

O Allah, I testify before You, before the bearers of Your Throne, Your angels, and all Your creation, that You are Allah, there is no deity but You alone without partner, and that Muhammad is Your servant and Messenger. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says this in the evening, his sins for that night will be forgiven."

Evening Dhikr: O Allah, Whatever Blessing I Have This Evening

O Allah, whatever blessing I or any of Your creation has received this evening, it is from You alone — You have no partner — so for You is all praise and to You is all thanks. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever says in the morning, ‘O Allah, whatever blessing…’ has offered thanks for that day. And whoever says it in the evening has fulfilled the thanks of the night.”

Morning Dhikr: Allah is Sufficient for Me, I Place My Trust in Him

Allah is sufficient for me, there is no deity except Him. I have placed my trust in Him, and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says in the morning and evening: 'Allah is sufficient for me, there is no deity except Him, in Him I put my trust, and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne,' seven times, Allah will suffice him in all matters of this world and the Hereafter."

In the Name of Allah, with Whose Name Nothing Harms

In the Name of Allah, with Whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says (In the Name of Allah, with Whose name nothing can harm on earth or in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing) three times in the morning and three times in the evening, no sudden calamity will befall him."

O Allah, by You We End Our Day and Begin Our Day

O Allah, by Your leave we have reached the evening and by Your leave we reach the morning; by Your leave we live and by Your leave we die, and to You is the resurrection.

We End Our Day Upon the Fitrah of Islam

“We have entered the evening upon the natural religion of Islam, and the word of sincere devotion, and upon the religion of our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and upon the creed of our father Abraham; upright, a Muslim, and not one of those who associate others with Allah.”

Narrated in Sahih Muslim (2726)

Powerful Tasbih: Glory Be to Allah as Numerous as His Creation

Subḥān Allāh wa bi ḥamdih (Glory is to Allah and praise is to Him) — as numerous as His creation, as much as pleases Him, as heavy as His Throne, and as the ink of His words. The Prophet ﷺ said: “I have said after you four words, three times, that if they were weighed against what you have said since this morning, they would outweigh them: ‘Subḥān Allāh wa bi ḥamdih, ʿadada khalqih, wa riḍā nafsih, wa zinata ʿarshih, wa midāda kalimātih.’”

Narrated in Sahih al-Bukhari (5676) and Sahih Muslim (2691).

Supplication for Well-being in Body, Hearing, and Sight

O Allah, grant me well-being in my body, O Allah, grant me well-being in my hearing, O Allah, grant me well-being in my sight. There is no deity except You.

Narrated by At-Tirmidhi (3516) – Classified as Hasan (Good).

Supplication for Seeking Refuge from Disbelief, Poverty, and the Punishment of the Grave

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from disbelief, poverty, and I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. There is no deity except You.

Narrated by Abu Dawood (5074) and authenticated by Al-Albani.

Supplication for Forgiveness, Well-Being, and Protection from All Harm

O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my faults and calm my fears. O Allah, protect me from before me, from behind me, from my right, from my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your greatness from being taken unaware from beneath me.

Supplication for Seeking Help and Trusting in Allah

O Ever-Living, O Sustainer, by Your mercy I seek help. Rectify for me all my affairs, and do not leave me to myself even for the blink of an eye.

Supplication Seeking Refuge from the Evil of the Self, Satan, and Wrongdoing

O Allah, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Lord and Sovereign of all things, I bear witness that there is no deity except You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my soul, and from the evil of Satan and his associates, and from committing evil upon myself or bringing it upon another Muslim.

Supplication Seeking Refuge from the Evil of the Self, Satan, and Wrongdoing

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.

Supplication for Blessings and Peace Upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Its Virtue

O Allah, send Your blessings, peace, and grace upon our Prophet Muhammad. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever sends blessings upon me morning and evening will receive my intercession on the Day of Judgment."

Dua for Seeking Refuge from Associating Partners with Allah and Seeking Forgiveness

O Allah, we seek refuge in You from associating anything with You knowingly, and we seek Your forgiveness for what we do not know.

Dua for Refuge from Anxiety, Laziness, and Overwhelming Debt

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, and I seek refuge in You from weakness and laziness, and I seek refuge in You from cowardice and miserliness, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and being overpowered by men. The Prophet ﷺ said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to frequently say this supplication."

Powerful Istighfar and Repentance Dua

I seek forgiveness from Allah the Almighty, the One besides whom there is no deity, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer, and I repent to Him. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says: 'I seek forgiveness from Allah the Almighty, the One besides whom there is no deity, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer, and I repent to Him,' will be forgiven, even if he had fled from the battlefield."

Narrated in Ibn Majah (3801) – Hasan (authentic)

Dua of Praise for the Majesty of Allah's Face

O my Lord, to You belongs all praise as befits the majesty of Your Face and the greatness of Your Sovereignty. One of the angels ascended with these words and said: “O Lord, Your servant has said something, and we do not know how to record it?” So Allah said: “Record it as My servant said it, until he meets Me and I will reward him for it.”

Narrated in Sahih al-Bukhari (6403) and Sahih Muslim (269)

The Great Dhikr of Tawheed and Its Rewards

There is no god but Allah, alone with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is over all things competent. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says: 'There is no god but Allah, alone with no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is over all things competent,' one hundred times in a day, it will be as if he freed ten slaves, one hundred good deeds will be recorded for him, one hundred sins will be erased from him, and it will be a protection for him from Shaytan that day until evening. No one will come with anything better except someone who did more than that."
