Morning Adhkar

The Prayer of the Distressed and Helpless

O my God, I call upon You with the prayer of one whose distress has intensified, whose strength has weakened, and whose means have diminished — the prayer of the drowning, the desperate, the wretched, the poor who finds no one to remove his sins but You. O Allah, remove the harm from me, for You are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy. There is no deity but You. Glory be to You, indeed I have been among the wrongdoers.

Authentic Prophetic Hadith — narrated by Muslim (2733)

Supplication of Weakness and Reliance on Allah

O Allah, to You I complain of my weakness, my lack of resources, and my humiliation before people. O Most Merciful of the merciful, You are the Most Merciful of the merciful. To whom do You entrust me? To an enemy who will show me hostility, or to a friend from whom You have given control over my affairs? If You are not angry with me, I do not care. But Your protection is more expansive for me. I seek refuge in the light of Your Face by which all darkness is illuminated and through which the affairs of this world and the Hereafter are set right, that Your anger or Your displeasure should descend upon me. For You have the right to be angry until You are pleased. There is no power and no strength except through You.

Authentic Prophetic Hadith — narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, and I seek refuge in You from weakness and laziness, and I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the oppression of men

O Allah, purify my heart from all evil. O Allah, cleanse my heart from everything You dislike. O Allah, remove from my heart all malice, hatred, envy, and arrogance.

Supplication for Purifying the Heart from Malice and Pride

O Allah, purify my heart from all evil. O Allah, cleanse my heart from everything You dislike. O Allah, remove from my heart all malice, hatred, envy, and arrogance.

Prophetic supplication — reported by al-Tabarani and others

Comprehensive Supplication for Mercy, Guidance, and Protection

O Allah, I ask You for a mercy from You: through which You guide my heart, bring together my affairs, mend what is broken in me, improve what is hidden from me, raise what is apparent of me, purify my deeds, inspire me with right guidance, restore my harmony, and protect me from all evil.

Supplication for Weakness, Relief, and Divine Provision

O my Lord, have mercy on my weakness, relieve my worry, heal my brokenness, grant me safety from fear, and shower me with Your limitless provision, unending relief, and countless goodness. O Allah, if my sustenance is in the sky — send it down; if it is in the earth — bring it out; if it is far — bring it near; if it is near — make it easy; if it is little — increase it; and if it is much — bless it for me.

Supplication for Ease, Provision, and Support from the Righteous

O Allah, You Who subjugate the strong for the weak, make Your righteous servants around me supportive to me, make my affairs easy, and provide for me from sources I do not expect.

Hasan (Good) — Reported by Abu Dawood (5090) and Ahmad (20430)
