O Lord, if You give me wealth, do not take my happiness. If You grant me strength, do not take my reason. If You grant me success, do not take my humility. And if You grant me humility, do not take my sense of dignity. O Lord, teach me to love others as I love myself, teach me to hold myself accountable as I hold others to account, teach me that forgiveness is the highest rank of strength, and that the love of revenge is the first sign of weakness.
O Lord, wherever guidance is — make it our path, wherever contentment is — make it our companion, and wherever happiness is — place it in our hearts.
