Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we shall return. O Allah, reward me in my affliction and replace it for me with something better.
O Allah, grant me relief and a way out from every worry and distress, whether in my worldly life or in the Hereafter. Provide for me from sources I could never imagine. Forgive my sins, strengthen my hope, and detach my heart from all others so that I hope in none but You.
O Allah, do not let my weak heart cling to what is not mine.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your Hand, Your command over me is forever executed, and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every Name that is Yours, which You have named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept with Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen, to make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the remover of my sorrow, and the release of my anxiety.
There is no god but Allah, the Most Great, the Most Forbearing. There is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Mighty Throne. There is no god but Allah, the Lord of the heavens, the Lord of the earth, and the Lord of the Noble Throne.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and grief, and I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, and I seek refuge in You from cowardice and miserliness, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the oppression of men.
O Lord, wherever guidance is—make it our path. Wherever contentment is—make it our companion. And wherever happiness is—place it in our hearts.
