My Lord, expand my chest, and ease my task for me, and untie the knot from my tongue, so that they may understand my speech. O Allah, there is nothing easy except what You make easy, and You can make sadness easy if You will, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
O Allah, I seek Your guidance through Your knowledge, and I seek Your ability through Your power, and I ask You for Your immense favor. For You have the power, and I do not, and You know, and I do not, and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter is good for me in my religion, livelihood, and the outcome of my affairs, then make it easy for me and bless it for me. But if You know that this matter is bad for me in my religion, livelihood, and the outcome of my affairs, then divert it from me and me from it, and appoint for me what is good wherever it may be, and make me content with it.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from going astray or being led astray, from slipping or being caused to slip, from wronging others or being wronged, from acting ignorantly or having ignorance directed at me.
O Allah, make light in my heart, and in my tongue light, and in my hearing light, and in my sight light, and light above me, and light beneath me, and light on my right, and light on my left, and light in front of me, and light behind me. Make light within my soul, increase for me light, magnify for me light, make light for me, and make me light. O Allah, grant me light, make light in my nerves, and in my flesh light, and in my blood light, and in my hair light, and in my skin light. O Allah, make light for me in my grave, and light in my bones, increase me in light, and grant me light upon light.
O Allah, take me from darkness to light, and make me among those who walk on Your straight path, grant me relief from every worry and a way out from every distress.
