Hadiths of Repentance from Sahih Muslim
Abu Hurayrah reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Allah, the Exalted, said: ‘I am as My servant thinks of Me, and I am with him when he mentions Me.
By Allah! I am more joyful over the repentance of My servant than one of you would be over finding his lost camel in the desert.
Whoever comes to Me a hand’s length, I go to him an arm’s length; whoever comes to Me an arm’s length, I go to him a fathom; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.’”
