How much of Surah Al-Kahf should we read on Friday?

How Much of Surah Al-Kahf Should Be Recited on Fridays?
There is no specific portion mentioned in the Qur’an or Sunnah to be recited on Fridays.
Some hadiths indicate the virtue of reciting the entire surah:
- Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi, Abu Sa‘id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf on Friday will be protected from the trial of the Dajjal.”
(Sunan Al-Tirmidhi, 2558)
Other hadiths indicate the virtue of reciting the last ten verses of the surah:
- Narrated by Abu Dawood, Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever recites the last ten verses of Surah Al-Kahf will be protected from the trial of the Dajjal.”
(Sunan Abu Dawood, 4252)
Therefore, it is recommended to recite the entire Surah Al-Kahf, its last ten verses, or any portion of the surah on Friday.
The Best Time to Recite Surah Al-Kahf on Fridays
- Scholars have differed on the best time: Some say after Fajr prayer is best. Some say any time during the day is suitable. Others recommend the night before Friday.
The most important point is to consistently recite Surah Al-Kahf on Fridays, following the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
