What is Laylat al-Qadr?
Laylat al-Qadr is one of the last ten nights of Ramadan in the Islamic calendar. This night is considered more important than other nights and holds a special and significant value. According to Hadith, Laylat al-Qadr is better than a thousand months; during this night, the doors of worship and forgiveness open, angels descend, and peace prevails until dawn. Laylat al-Qadr is mentioned in the Qur’an:
"Indeed, We sent it [the Qur’an] down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months." (Al-Qadr: 1-3)
