What are the prayers of Ramadan?
The month of Ramadan is a month of mercy, forgiveness, and salvation from Hellfire. It is a great opportunity to strengthen our relationship with Allah and draw closer through prayer and worship. Praying in Ramadan has immense virtue, and there are many recommended supplications for Muslims during this blessed month.
General Ramadan Prayers
- O Allah, let us reach Ramadan, accept our fasting and worship, and help us perform righteous deeds.
- O Allah, make us among those saved from the punishment of Hell in this blessed month.
- O Allah, forgive our sins and mistakes, make our feet firm, and help us against the disbelievers.
- O Allah, grant us Paradise and all deeds and words that lead to it, and protect us from Hell and the deeds and words that lead to it.
- O Allah, grant us forgiveness and well-being in this world and the Hereafter.
- O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the loss of Your blessings, the decline of health, sudden wrath, and all forms of Your anger.
- O Allah, grant me all kinds of good, immediate and delayed, known and unknown, and protect me from all forms of evil.
Special Ramadan Prayers
- When seeing the crescent moon: O Allah, make it arrive upon us with security, faith, safety, and Islam.
- At iftar (breaking fast): The thirst is gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is confirmed, inshaAllah.
- Laylat al-Qadr prayer: O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, You love forgiveness, so forgive me.
- Qunut in Taraweeh prayer: O Allah, guide us among those You have guided, grant us well-being among those You have granted, take care of us among those You take care of, bless us in what You have given, and protect us from what You have decreed of evil.
Prayers for Family and Loved Ones
- O Allah, protect my family and loved ones, bless them in Ramadan, and make them among the accepted.
- O Allah, heal our sick, have mercy on our deceased, and forgive us and them.
- O Allah, grant us a good ending, take our souls while You are pleased with us.
Tips for Praying in Ramadan
- Pray sincerely with certainty of acceptance
- Face the Qibla and raise hands while praying
- Begin with praising Allah and sending blessings on the Prophet ﷺ
- Be persistent and repeat your supplications
- Pray during times of acceptance: suhoor, iftar, and Laylat al-Qadr
- Recite authentic supplications from the Prophet ﷺ
