Yes, according to authentic Prophetic traditions, Surah Al-Mulk intercedes for the one who regularly recites it.
Abdullah ibn Mas‘ud (may Allah be pleased with him) reported:
“Whoever recites Tabarak alladhi biyadihi al-mulk (Surah Al-Mulk) every night,
Allah will protect him from the torment of the grave.
During the time of the Prophet ﷺ, we used to call it Al-Mani‘ah (the Preventer),
because it protects its reciter from evil and saves him from punishment in the grave.”
(Narrated by Tirmidhi and Tabarani)
This hadith means that whoever habitually recites Surah Al-Mulk every night,
Allah will protect him from the punishment of the grave.
The surah has great merit and will intercede for its reciter on the Day of Judgment.
For this reason, the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) called it “Al-Mani‘ah” — the Protector.
Conclusion:
Reciting Surah Al-Mulk is a noble and rewarding act that brings protection, intercession, and mercy.
It benefits both the living and the deceased, and is a beautiful Sunnah that Muslims should strive to maintain.
