Basmala
عَمَّيَتَسَآءَلُونَ
yatasāalūnaʿamma
About whatare they asking one another
78:1
عَنِٱلنَّبَإِٱلْعَظِيمِ
l-ʿaẓīmil-naba-iʿani
Aboutthe Newsthe Great
78:2
ٱلَّذِىهُمْفِيهِمُخْتَلِفُونَ
mukh'talifūnafīhihumalladhī
(About) whichthey(are) concerning it(in) disagreement
78:3
كَلَّاسَيَعْلَمُونَ
sayaʿlamūnakallā
Nay(soon) they will know
78:4
ثُمَّكَلَّاسَيَعْلَمُونَ
sayaʿlamūnakallāthumma
ThenNay(soon) they will know
78:5
أَلَمْنَجْعَلِٱلْأَرْضَمِهَـٰدًۭا
mihādanl-arḍanajʿalialam
Have notWe madethe eartha resting place
78:6
وَٱلْجِبَالَأَوْتَادًۭا
awtādanwal-jibāla
And the mountains(as) pegs
78:7
وَخَلَقْنَـٰكُمْأَزْوَٰجًۭا
azwājanwakhalaqnākum
And We created you(in) pairs
78:8
وَجَعَلْنَانَوْمَكُمْسُبَاتًۭا
subātannawmakumwajaʿalnā
And We madeyour sleep(for) rest
78:9
وَجَعَلْنَاٱلَّيْلَلِبَاسًۭا
libāsanal-laylawajaʿalnā
And We madethe night(as) covering
78:10
وَجَعَلْنَاٱلنَّهَارَمَعَاشًۭا
maʿāshanl-nahārawajaʿalnā
And We madethe day(for) livelihood
78:11
وَبَنَيْنَافَوْقَكُمْسَبْعًۭاشِدَادًۭا
shidādansabʿanfawqakumwabanaynā
And We constructedover yousevenstrong
78:12
وَجَعَلْنَاسِرَاجًۭاوَهَّاجًۭا
wahhājansirājanwajaʿalnā
And We placeda lampburning
78:13
وَأَنزَلْنَامِنَٱلْمُعْصِرَٰتِمَآءًۭثَجَّاجًۭا
thajjājanmāanl-muʿ'ṣirātiminawa-anzalnā
And We sent downfromthe rain cloudswaterpouring abundantly
78:14
لِّنُخْرِجَبِهِۦحَبًّۭاوَنَبَاتًۭا
wanabātanḥabbanbihilinukh'rija
That We may bring forththerebygrainand vegetation
78:15
وَجَنَّـٰتٍأَلْفَافًا
alfāfanwajannātin
And gardens(of) thick foliage
78:16
إِنَّيَوْمَٱلْفَصْلِكَانَمِيقَـٰتًۭا
mīqātankānal-faṣliyawmainna
Indeed(the) Day(of) the Judgmentisan appointed time
78:17
يَوْمَيُنفَخُفِىٱلصُّورِفَتَأْتُونَأَفْوَاجًۭا
afwājanfatatūnal-ṣūriyunfakhuyawma
(The) Day(in which) shall be blowninthe trumpetand you will come forth(in) crowds
78:18
وَفُتِحَتِٱلسَّمَآءُفَكَانَتْأَبْوَٰبًۭا
abwābanfakānatl-samāuwafutiḥati
And is openedthe heavenand becomesgateways
78:19
وَسُيِّرَتِٱلْجِبَالُفَكَانَتْسَرَابًا
sarābanfakānatl-jibāluwasuyyirati
And are movedthe mountainsand becomea mirage
78:20
إِنَّجَهَنَّمَكَانَتْمِرْصَادًۭا
mir'ṣādankānatjahannamainna
IndeedHellislying in wait
78:21
لِّلطَّـٰغِينَمَـَٔابًۭا
maābanlilṭṭāghīna
For the transgressorsa place of return
78:22
لَّـٰبِثِينَفِيهَآأَحْقَابًۭا
aḥqābanfīhālābithīna
(They will) be remainingtherein(for) ages
78:23
لَّايَذُوقُونَفِيهَابَرْدًۭاوَلَاشَرَابًا
sharābanwalābardanfīhāyadhūqūna
Notthey will tastethereincoolnessand notany drink
78:24
إِلَّاحَمِيمًۭاوَغَسَّاقًۭا
waghassāqanḥamīmanillā
Exceptscalding waterand purulence
78:25
جَزَآءًۭوِفَاقًا
wifāqanjazāan
A recompenseappropriate
78:26
إِنَّهُمْكَانُوا۟لَايَرْجُونَحِسَابًۭا
ḥisābanyarjūnakānūinnahum
Indeed, theywerenotexpectingan account
78:27
وَكَذَّبُوا۟بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاكِذَّابًۭا
kidhābanbiāyātināwakadhabū
And they deniedOur Signs(with) denial
78:28
وَكُلَّشَىْءٍأَحْصَيْنَـٰهُكِتَـٰبًۭا
kitābanaḥṣaynāhushayinwakulla
And everythingWe have enumerated it(in) a Book
78:29
فَذُوقُوا۟فَلَننَّزِيدَكُمْإِلَّاعَذَابًا
ʿadhābanillānazīdakumfalanfadhūqū
So tasteand neverWe will increase youexcept(in) punishment
78:30
إِنَّلِلْمُتَّقِينَمَفَازًا
mafāzanlil'muttaqīnainna
Indeedfor the righteous(is) success
78:31
حَدَآئِقَوَأَعْنَـٰبًۭا
wa-aʿnābanḥadāiqa
Gardensand grapevines
78:32
وَكَوَاعِبَأَتْرَابًۭا
atrābanwakawāʿiba
And splendid companionswell-matched
78:33
وَكَأْسًۭادِهَاقًۭا
dihāqanwakasan
And a cupfull
78:34
لَّايَسْمَعُونَفِيهَالَغْوًۭاوَلَاكِذَّٰبًۭا
kidhābanwalālaghwanfīhāyasmaʿūna
Notthey will hearthereinany vain talkand notany falsehood
78:35
جَزَآءًۭمِّنرَّبِّكَعَطَآءًحِسَابًۭا
ḥisābanʿaṭāanrabbikaminjazāan
(As) a rewardfromyour Lorda gift(according to) account
78:36
رَّبِّٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِوَمَابَيْنَهُمَاٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۖلَايَمْلِكُونَمِنْهُخِطَابًۭا
khiṭābanmin'huyamlikūnal-raḥmānibaynahumāwamāwal-arḍil-samāwātirabbi
Lord(of) the heavensand the earthand whatever(is) between both of themthe Most Graciousnotthey have powerfrom Him(to) address
78:37
يَوْمَيَقُومُٱلرُّوحُوَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُصَفًّۭا ۖلَّايَتَكَلَّمُونَإِلَّامَنْأَذِنَلَهُٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُوَقَالَصَوَابًۭا
ṣawābanwaqālal-raḥmānulahuadhinamanillāyatakallamūnaṣaffanwal-malāikatul-rūḥuyaqūmuyawma
(The) Daywill standthe Spiritand the Angels(in) rowsnotthey will speakexcept(one) who permits[for] himthe Most Graciousand he (will) say(what is) correct
78:38
ذَٰلِكَٱلْيَوْمُٱلْحَقُّ ۖفَمَنشَآءَٱتَّخَذَإِلَىٰرَبِّهِۦمَـَٔابًا
maābanrabbihiilāittakhadhashāafamanl-ḥaqul-yawmudhālika
That(is) the Daythe TrueSo whoeverwillslet him taketowardshis Lorda return
78:39
إِنَّآأَنذَرْنَـٰكُمْعَذَابًۭاقَرِيبًۭايَوْمَيَنظُرُٱلْمَرْءُمَاقَدَّمَتْيَدَاهُوَيَقُولُٱلْكَافِرُيَـٰلَيْتَنِىكُنتُتُرَٰبًۢا
turābankuntuyālaytanīl-kāfiruwayaqūluyadāhuqaddamatl-maruyanẓuruyawmaqarībanʿadhābanandharnākuminnā
Indeed We[We] have warned you(of) a punishmentnear(the) Daywill seethe manwhathave sent forthhis handsand will saythe disbelieverO I wishI weredust
78:40
Basmala
وَٱلنَّـٰزِعَـٰتِغَرْقًۭا
gharqanwal-nāziʿāti
By those who extractviolently
79:1
وَٱلنَّـٰشِطَـٰتِنَشْطًۭا
nashṭanwal-nāshiṭāti
And those who draw outgently
79:2
وَٱلسَّـٰبِحَـٰتِسَبْحًۭا
sabḥanwal-sābiḥāti
And those who glideswimming
79:3
فَٱلسَّـٰبِقَـٰتِسَبْقًۭا
sabqanfal-sābiqāti
And those who race each other(in) a race
79:4
فَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٰتِأَمْرًۭا
amranfal-mudabirāti
And those who arrange(the) matter
79:5
يَوْمَتَرْجُفُٱلرَّاجِفَةُ
l-rājifatutarjufuyawma
(The) Daywill quakethe quaking one
79:6
تَتْبَعُهَاٱلرَّادِفَةُ
l-rādifatutatbaʿuhā
Follows itthe subsequent
79:7
قُلُوبٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍۢوَاجِفَةٌ
wājifatunyawma-idhinqulūbun
Heartsthat Daywill palpitate
79:8
أَبْصَـٰرُهَاخَـٰشِعَةٌۭ
khāshiʿatunabṣāruhā
Their eyeshumbled
79:9
يَقُولُونَأَءِنَّالَمَرْدُودُونَفِىٱلْحَافِرَةِ
l-ḥāfiratilamardūdūnaa-innāyaqūlūna
They sayWill weindeed be returnedtothe former state
79:10
أَءِذَاكُنَّاعِظَـٰمًۭانَّخِرَةًۭ
nakhiratanʿiẓāmankunnāa-idhā
What! Whenwe arebonesdecayed
79:11
قَالُوا۟تِلْكَإِذًۭاكَرَّةٌخَاسِرَةٌۭ
khāsiratunkarratunidhantil'kaqālū
They sayThisthen(would be) a returnlosing
79:12
فَإِنَّمَاهِىَزَجْرَةٌۭوَٰحِدَةٌۭ
wāḥidatunzajratunhiyafa-innamā
Then onlyit(will be) a shoutsingle
79:13
فَإِذَاهُمبِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ
bil-sāhiratihumfa-idhā
And beholdThey(will be) awakened
79:14
هَلْأَتَىٰكَحَدِيثُمُوسَىٰٓ
mūsāḥadīthuatākahal
Has(there) come to you(the) story(of) Musa
79:15
إِذْنَادَىٰهُرَبُّهُۥبِٱلْوَادِٱلْمُقَدَّسِطُوًى
ṭuwanl-muqadasibil-wādirabbuhunādāhuidh
Whencalled himhis Lordin the valleythe sacred(of) Tuwa
79:16
ٱذْهَبْإِلَىٰفِرْعَوْنَإِنَّهُۥطَغَىٰ
ṭaghāinnahufir'ʿawnailāidh'hab
GotoFiraunIndeed, he(has) transgressed
79:17
فَقُلْهَللَّكَإِلَىٰٓأَنتَزَكَّىٰ
tazakkāanilālakahalfaqul
And sayWould[for] you[to][that]purify yourself
79:18
وَأَهْدِيَكَإِلَىٰرَبِّكَفَتَخْشَىٰ
fatakhshārabbikailāwa-ahdiyaka
And I will guide youtoyour Lordso you would fear
79:19
فَأَرَىٰهُٱلْـَٔايَةَٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
l-kub'rāl-āyatafa-arāhu
Then he showed himthe signthe great
79:20
فَكَذَّبَوَعَصَىٰ
waʿaṣāfakadhaba
But he deniedand disobeyed
79:21
ثُمَّأَدْبَرَيَسْعَىٰ
yasʿāadbarathumma
Thenhe turned his backstriving
79:22
فَحَشَرَفَنَادَىٰ
fanādāfaḥashara
And he gatheredand called out
79:23
فَقَالَأَنَا۠رَبُّكُمُٱلْأَعْلَىٰ
l-aʿlārabbukumuanāfaqāla
Then he saidI amyour Lordthe Most High
79:24
فَأَخَذَهُٱللَّهُنَكَالَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِوَٱلْأُولَىٰٓ
wal-ūlāl-ākhiratinakālal-lahufa-akhadhahu
So seized himAllah(with) an exemplary punishment(for) the lastand the first
79:25
إِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَعِبْرَةًۭلِّمَنيَخْشَىٰٓ
yakhshālimanlaʿib'ratandhālikainna
Indeedinthatsurely (is) a lessonfor whoeverfears
79:26
ءَأَنتُمْأَشَدُّخَلْقًاأَمِٱلسَّمَآءُ ۚبَنَىٰهَا
banāhāl-samāuamikhalqanashaddua-antum
Are youa more difficultcreationorthe heavenHe constructed it
79:27
رَفَعَسَمْكَهَافَسَوَّىٰهَا
fasawwāhāsamkahārafaʿa
He raisedits ceilingand proportioned it
79:28
وَأَغْطَشَلَيْلَهَاوَأَخْرَجَضُحَىٰهَا
ḍuḥāhāwa-akhrajalaylahāwa-aghṭasha
And He darkenedits nightand brought outits brightness
79:29
وَٱلْأَرْضَبَعْدَذَٰلِكَدَحَىٰهَآ
daḥāhādhālikabaʿdawal-arḍa
And the earthafterthatHe spread it
79:30
أَخْرَجَمِنْهَامَآءَهَاوَمَرْعَىٰهَا
wamarʿāhāmāahāmin'hāakhraja
He brought forthfrom itits waterand its pasture
79:31
وَٱلْجِبَالَأَرْسَىٰهَا
arsāhāwal-jibāla
And the mountainsHe made them firm
79:32
مَتَـٰعًۭالَّكُمْوَلِأَنْعَـٰمِكُمْ
wali-anʿāmikumlakummatāʿan
(As) a provisionfor youand for your cattle
79:33
فَإِذَاجَآءَتِٱلطَّآمَّةُٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
l-kub'rāl-ṭāmatujāatifa-idhā
But whencomesthe Overwhelming Calamitythe great
79:34
يَوْمَيَتَذَكَّرُٱلْإِنسَـٰنُمَاسَعَىٰ
saʿāl-insānuyatadhakkaruyawma
(The) Daywill remembermanwhathe strove (for)
79:35
وَبُرِّزَتِٱلْجَحِيمُلِمَنيَرَىٰ
yarālimanl-jaḥīmuwaburrizati
And will be made manifestthe Hellfireto (him) whosees
79:36
فَأَمَّامَنطَغَىٰ
ṭaghāmanfa-ammā
Then as for(him) whotransgressed
79:37
وَءَاثَرَٱلْحَيَوٰةَٱلدُّنْيَا
l-dun'yāl-ḥayatawaāthara
And preferredthe life(of) the world
79:38
فَإِنَّٱلْجَحِيمَهِىَٱلْمَأْوَىٰ
l-mawāhiyal-jaḥīmafa-inna
Then indeedthe Hellfireit(is) the refuge
79:39
وَأَمَّامَنْخَافَمَقَامَرَبِّهِۦوَنَهَىٱلنَّفْسَعَنِٱلْهَوَىٰ
l-hawāʿanil-nafsawanahārabbihimaqāmakhāfamanwa-ammā
But as for(him) whofearedstanding(before) his Lordand restrainedhis soulfromthe vain desires
79:40
فَإِنَّٱلْجَنَّةَهِىَٱلْمَأْوَىٰ
l-mawāhiyal-janatafa-inna
Then indeedParadise it (is)the refuge
79:41
يَسْـَٔلُونَكَعَنِٱلسَّاعَةِأَيَّانَمُرْسَىٰهَا
mur'sāhāayyānal-sāʿatiʿaniyasalūnaka
They ask youaboutthe Hourwhen(is) its arrival
79:42
فِيمَأَنتَمِنذِكْرَىٰهَآ
dhik'rāhāminantafīma
In what(are) you[of](to) mention it
79:43
إِلَىٰرَبِّكَمُنتَهَىٰهَآ
muntahāhārabbikailā
Toyour Lord(is) its finality
79:44
إِنَّمَآأَنتَمُنذِرُمَنيَخْشَىٰهَا
yakhshāhāmanmundhiruantainnamā
Onlyyou(are) a warner(for him) whofears it
79:45
كَأَنَّهُمْيَوْمَيَرَوْنَهَالَمْيَلْبَثُوٓا۟إِلَّاعَشِيَّةًأَوْضُحَىٰهَا
ḍuḥāhāawʿashiyyatanillāyalbathūlamyarawnahāyawmaka-annahum
As though they(the) Daythey see itnotthey had remainedexceptan eveningora morning thereof
79:46
Basmala
عَبَسَوَتَوَلَّىٰٓ
watawallāʿabasa
He frownedand turned away
80:1
أَنجَآءَهُٱلْأَعْمَىٰ
l-aʿmājāahuan
Becausecame to himthe blind man
80:2
وَمَايُدْرِيكَلَعَلَّهُۥيَزَّكَّىٰٓ
yazzakkālaʿallahuyud'rīkawamā
But whatwould make you knowthat he mightpurify himself
80:3
أَوْيَذَّكَّرُفَتَنفَعَهُٱلذِّكْرَىٰٓ
l-dhik'rāfatanfaʿahuyadhakkaruaw
Orbe remindedso would benefit himthe reminder
80:4
أَمَّامَنِٱسْتَغْنَىٰ
is'taghnāmaniammā
As for(him) whoconsiders himself free from need
80:5
فَأَنتَلَهُۥتَصَدَّىٰ
taṣaddālahufa-anta
So youto himgive attention
80:6
وَمَاعَلَيْكَأَلَّايَزَّكَّىٰ
yazzakkāallāʿalaykawamā
And notupon youthat nothe purifies himself
80:7
وَأَمَّامَنجَآءَكَيَسْعَىٰ
yasʿājāakamanwa-ammā
But as for(he) whocame to youstriving
80:8
وَهُوَيَخْشَىٰ
yakhshāwahuwa
While hefears
80:9
فَأَنتَعَنْهُتَلَهَّىٰ
talahhāʿanhufa-anta
But youfrom him(are) distracted
80:10
كَلَّآإِنَّهَاتَذْكِرَةٌۭ
tadhkiratuninnahākallā
NayIndeed, it(is) a reminder
80:11
فَمَنشَآءَذَكَرَهُۥ
dhakarahushāafaman
So whosoeverwillsmay remember it
80:12
فِىصُحُفٍۢمُّكَرَّمَةٍۢ
mukarramatinṣuḥufin
Insheetshonored
80:13
مَّرْفُوعَةٍۢمُّطَهَّرَةٍۭ
muṭahharatinmarfūʿatin
Exaltedpurified
80:14
بِأَيْدِىسَفَرَةٍۢ
safaratinbi-aydī
In (the) hands(of) scribes
80:15
كِرَامٍۭبَرَرَةٍۢ
bararatinkirāmin
Nobledutiful
80:16
قُتِلَٱلْإِنسَـٰنُمَآأَكْفَرَهُۥ
akfarahul-insānuqutila
Is destroyed[the] manhowungrateful is he
80:17
مِنْأَىِّشَىْءٍخَلَقَهُۥ
khalaqahushayinayyimin
FromwhatthingHe created him
80:18
مِننُّطْفَةٍخَلَقَهُۥفَقَدَّرَهُۥ
faqaddarahukhalaqahunuṭ'fatinmin
Froma semen-dropHe created himthen He proportioned him
80:19
ثُمَّٱلسَّبِيلَيَسَّرَهُۥ
yassarahul-sabīlathumma
Thenthe wayHe made easy for him
80:20
ثُمَّأَمَاتَهُۥفَأَقْبَرَهُۥ
fa-aqbarahuamātahuthumma
ThenHe causes him to dieand provides a grave for him
80:21
ثُمَّإِذَاشَآءَأَنشَرَهُۥ
ansharahushāaidhāthumma
ThenwhenHe willsHe will resurrect him
80:22
كَلَّالَمَّايَقْضِمَآأَمَرَهُۥ
amarahuyaqḍilammākallā
NayNothe has accomplishedwhatHe commanded him
80:23
فَلْيَنظُرِٱلْإِنسَـٰنُإِلَىٰطَعَامِهِۦٓ
ṭaʿāmihiilāl-insānufalyanẓuri
Then let lookthe manathis food
80:24
اَنَّاصَبَبْنَاٱلْمَآءَصَبًّۭا
ṣabbanl-māaṣababnāannā
That [We][We] pouredthe water(in) abundance
80:25
ثُمَّشَقَقْنَاٱلْأَرْضَشَقًّۭا
shaqqanl-arḍashaqaqnāthumma
ThenWe cleavedthe earthsplitting
80:26
فَأَنۢبَتْنَافِيهَاحَبًّۭا
ḥabbanfīhāfa-anbatnā
Then We caused to growthereingrain
80:27
وَعِنَبًۭاوَقَضْبًۭا
waqaḍbanwaʿinaban
And grapesand green fodder
80:28
وَزَيْتُونًۭاوَنَخْلًۭا
wanakhlanwazaytūnan
And oliveand date-palms
80:29
وَحَدَآئِقَغُلْبًۭا
ghul'banwaḥadāiqa
And gardens(of) thick foliage
80:30
وَفَـٰكِهَةًۭوَأَبًّۭا
wa-abbanwafākihatan
And fruitsand grass
80:31
مَّتَـٰعًۭالَّكُمْوَلِأَنْعَـٰمِكُمْ
wali-anʿāmikumlakummatāʿan
(As) a provisionfor youand for your cattle
80:32
فَإِذَاجَآءَتِٱلصَّآخَّةُ
l-ṣākhatujāatifa-idhā
But whencomesthe Deafening Blast
80:33
يَوْمَيَفِرُّٱلْمَرْءُمِنْأَخِيهِ
akhīhiminl-maruyafirruyawma
(The) Daywill fleea manfromhis brother
80:34
وَأُمِّهِۦوَأَبِيهِ
wa-abīhiwa-ummihi
And his motherand his father
80:35
وَصَـٰحِبَتِهِۦوَبَنِيهِ
wabanīhiwaṣāḥibatihi
And his wifeand his children
80:36
لِكُلِّٱمْرِئٍۢمِّنْهُمْيَوْمَئِذٍۢشَأْنٌۭيُغْنِيهِ
yugh'nīhishanunyawma-idhinmin'humim'ri-inlikulli
For everymanamong themthat Day(will be) a matteroccupying him
80:37
وُجُوهٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍۢمُّسْفِرَةٌۭ
mus'firatunyawma-idhinwujūhun
Facesthat Day(will be) bright
80:38
ضَاحِكَةٌۭمُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌۭ
mus'tabshiratunḍāḥikatun
Laughingrejoicing at good news
80:39
وَوُجُوهٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍعَلَيْهَاغَبَرَةٌۭ
ghabaratunʿalayhāyawma-idhinwawujūhun
And facesthat Dayupon them(will be) dust
80:40
تَرْهَقُهَاقَتَرَةٌ
qataratuntarhaquhā
Will cover themdarkness
80:41
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْكَفَرَةُٱلْفَجَرَةُ
l-fajaratul-kafaratuhumuulāika
Those[they](are) the disbelieversthe wicked ones
80:42
Basmala
إِذَاٱلشَّمْسُكُوِّرَتْ
kuwwiratl-shamsuidhā
Whenthe sunis wrapped up
81:1
وَإِذَاٱلنُّجُومُٱنكَدَرَتْ
inkadaratl-nujūmuwa-idhā
And whenthe starsfall, losing their luster
81:2
وَإِذَاٱلْجِبَالُسُيِّرَتْ
suyyiratl-jibāluwa-idhā
And whenthe mountainsare moved away
81:3
وَإِذَاٱلْعِشَارُعُطِّلَتْ
ʿuṭṭilatl-ʿishāruwa-idhā
And whenthe full-term she-camels(are) left untended
81:4
وَإِذَاٱلْوُحُوشُحُشِرَتْ
ḥushiratl-wuḥūshuwa-idhā
And whenthe wild beastsare gathered
81:5
وَإِذَاٱلْبِحَارُسُجِّرَتْ
sujjiratl-biḥāruwa-idhā
And whenthe seasare made to overflow
81:6
وَإِذَاٱلنُّفُوسُزُوِّجَتْ
zuwwijatl-nufūsuwa-idhā
And whenthe soulsare paired
81:7
وَإِذَاٱلْمَوْءُۥدَةُسُئِلَتْ
su-ilatl-mawūdatuwa-idhā
And whenthe female infant buried aliveis asked
81:8
بِأَىِّذَنۢبٍۢقُتِلَتْ
qutilatdhanbinbi-ayyi
For whatsinshe was killed
81:9
وَإِذَاٱلصُّحُفُنُشِرَتْ
nushiratl-ṣuḥufuwa-idhā
And whenthe pagesare laid open
81:10
وَإِذَاٱلسَّمَآءُكُشِطَتْ
kushiṭatl-samāuwa-idhā
And whenthe skyis stripped away
81:11
وَإِذَاٱلْجَحِيمُسُعِّرَتْ
suʿʿiratl-jaḥīmuwa-idhā
And whenthe Hellfireis set ablaze
81:12
وَإِذَاٱلْجَنَّةُأُزْلِفَتْ
uz'lifatl-janatuwa-idhā
And whenParadiseis brought near
81:13
عَلِمَتْنَفْسٌۭمَّآأَحْضَرَتْ
aḥḍaratnafsunʿalimat
Will knowa soulwhatit has brought
81:14
فَلَآأُقْسِمُبِٱلْخُنَّسِ
bil-khunasiuq'simufalā
But nayI swearby the retreating planets
81:15
ٱلْجَوَارِٱلْكُنَّسِ
l-kunasial-jawāri
Those that run(and) disappear
81:16
وَٱلَّيْلِإِذَاعَسْعَسَ
ʿasʿasaidhāwa-al-layli
And the nightwhenit departs
81:17
وَٱلصُّبْحِإِذَاتَنَفَّسَ
tanaffasaidhāwal-ṣub'ḥi
And the dawnwhenit breathes
81:18
إِنَّهُۥلَقَوْلُرَسُولٍۢكَرِيمٍۢ
karīminrasūlinlaqawluinnahu
Indeed, it(is) surely a word(of) a Messengernoble
81:19
ذِىقُوَّةٍعِندَذِىٱلْعَرْشِمَكِينٍۢ
makīninl-ʿarshidhīʿindaquwwatindhī
Possessor ofpowerwith(the) Owner ofthe Thronesecure
81:20
مُّطَاعٍۢثَمَّأَمِينٍۢ
amīninthammamuṭāʿin
One to be obeyedandtrustworthy
81:21
وَمَاصَاحِبُكُمبِمَجْنُونٍۢ
bimajnūninṣāḥibukumwamā
And not(is) your companionmad
81:22
وَلَقَدْرَءَاهُبِٱلْأُفُقِٱلْمُبِينِ
l-mubīnibil-ufuqiraāhuwalaqad
And certainlyhe saw himin the horizonthe clear
81:23
وَمَاهُوَعَلَىٱلْغَيْبِبِضَنِينٍۢ
biḍanīninl-ghaybiʿalāhuwawamā
And nothe (is)onthe unseena withholder
81:24
وَمَاهُوَبِقَوْلِشَيْطَـٰنٍۢرَّجِيمٍۢ
rajīminshayṭāninbiqawlihuwawamā
And notit(is the) word(of) Shaitaanaccursed
81:25
فَأَيْنَتَذْهَبُونَ
tadhhabūnafa-ayna
So whereare you going
81:26
إِنْهُوَإِلَّاذِكْرٌۭلِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
lil'ʿālamīnadhik'runillāhuwain
Notit(is) excepta reminderto the worlds
81:27
لِمَنشَآءَمِنكُمْأَنيَسْتَقِيمَ
yastaqīmaanminkumshāaliman
For whoeverwillsamong youtotake a straight way
81:28
وَمَاتَشَآءُونَإِلَّآأَنيَشَآءَٱللَّهُرَبُّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnarabbul-lahuyashāaanillātashāūnawamā
And notyou willexceptthatwillsAllahLord(of) the worlds
81:29
Basmala
إِذَاٱلسَّمَآءُٱنفَطَرَتْ
infaṭaratl-samāuidhā
Whenthe sky(is) cleft asunder
82:1
وَإِذَاٱلْكَوَاكِبُٱنتَثَرَتْ
intatharatl-kawākibuwa-idhā
And whenthe starsscatter
82:2
وَإِذَاٱلْبِحَارُفُجِّرَتْ
fujjiratl-biḥāruwa-idhā
And whenthe seasare made to gush forth
82:3
وَإِذَاٱلْقُبُورُبُعْثِرَتْ
buʿ'thiratl-qubūruwa-idhā
And whenthe gravesare overturned
82:4
عَلِمَتْنَفْسٌۭمَّاقَدَّمَتْوَأَخَّرَتْ
wa-akharatqaddamatnafsunʿalimat
Will knowa soulwhatit has sent forthand left behind
82:5
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلْإِنسَـٰنُمَاغَرَّكَبِرَبِّكَٱلْكَرِيمِ
l-karīmibirabbikagharrakal-insānuyāayyuhā
OmanWhathas deceived youconcerning your Lordthe Most Noble
82:6
ٱلَّذِىخَلَقَكَفَسَوَّىٰكَفَعَدَلَكَ
faʿadalakafasawwākakhalaqakaalladhī
Whocreated youthen fashioned youthen balanced you
82:7
فِىٓأَىِّصُورَةٍۢمَّاشَآءَرَكَّبَكَ
rakkabakashāaṣūratinayyi
InwhateverformwhatHe willedHe assembled you
82:8
كَلَّابَلْتُكَذِّبُونَبِٱلدِّينِ
bil-dīnitukadhibūnabalkallā
NayButyou denythe Judgment
82:9
وَإِنَّعَلَيْكُمْلَحَـٰفِظِينَ
laḥāfiẓīnaʿalaykumwa-inna
And indeedover you(are) surely guardians
82:10
كِرَامًۭاكَـٰتِبِينَ
kātibīnakirāman
Noblerecording
82:11
يَعْلَمُونَمَاتَفْعَلُونَ
tafʿalūnayaʿlamūna
They knowwhateveryou do
82:12
إِنَّٱلْأَبْرَارَلَفِىنَعِيمٍۢ
naʿīminlafīl-abrārainna
Indeedthe righteous(will be) surely inbliss
82:13
وَإِنَّٱلْفُجَّارَلَفِىجَحِيمٍۢ
jaḥīminlafīl-fujārawa-inna
And indeedthe wicked(will be) surely inHellfire
82:14
يَصْلَوْنَهَايَوْمَٱلدِّينِ
l-dīniyawmayaṣlawnahā
They will burn (in) it(on the) Day(of) the Judgment
82:15
وَمَاهُمْعَنْهَابِغَآئِبِينَ
bighāibīnaʿanhāhumwamā
And nottheyfrom it(will be) absent
82:16
وَمَآأَدْرَىٰكَمَايَوْمُٱلدِّينِ
l-dīniyawmuadrākawamā
And whatcan make you knowwhat(is the) Day(of) the Judgment
82:17
ثُمَّمَآأَدْرَىٰكَمَايَوْمُٱلدِّينِ
l-dīniyawmuadrākathumma
Thenwhatcan make you knowwhat(is the) Day(of) the Judgment
82:18
يَوْمَلَاتَمْلِكُنَفْسٌۭلِّنَفْسٍۢشَيْـًۭٔا ۖوَٱلْأَمْرُيَوْمَئِذٍۢلِّلَّهِ
lillahiyawma-idhinwal-amrushayanlinafsinnafsuntamlikuyawma
(The) Daynotwill have powera soulfor a soulanythingand the Commandthat Day(will be) with Allah
82:19
Basmala
وَيْلٌۭلِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ
lil'muṭaffifīnawaylun
Woeto those who give less
83:1
ٱلَّذِينَإِذَاٱكْتَالُوا۟عَلَىٱلنَّاسِيَسْتَوْفُونَ
yastawfūnal-nāsiʿalāik'tālūidhāalladhīna
Those whowhenthey take a measurefromthe peoplethey take in full
83:2
وَإِذَاكَالُوهُمْأَووَّزَنُوهُمْيُخْسِرُونَ
yukh'sirūnawazanūhumawkālūhumwa-idhā
But whenthey give by measure (to) themorthey weigh (for) themthey give less
83:3
أَلَايَظُنُّأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَأَنَّهُممَّبْعُوثُونَ
mabʿūthūnaannahumulāikayaẓunnualā
Do notthinkthosethat they(will be) resurrected
83:4
لِيَوْمٍعَظِيمٍۢ
ʿaẓīminliyawmin
For a DayGreat
83:5
يَوْمَيَقُومُٱلنَّاسُلِرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnalirabbil-nāsuyaqūmuyawma
(The) Daywill standmankindbefore (the) Lord(of) the worlds
83:6
كَلَّآإِنَّكِتَـٰبَٱلْفُجَّارِلَفِىسِجِّينٍۢ
sijjīninlafīl-fujārikitābainnakallā
NayIndeed(the) record(of) the wicked(is) surely inSijjin
83:7
وَمَآأَدْرَىٰكَمَاسِجِّينٌۭ
sijjīnunadrākawamā
And whatcan make you knowwhat(is) Sijjin
83:8
كِتَـٰبٌۭمَّرْقُومٌۭ
marqūmunkitābun
A bookwritten
83:9
وَيْلٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍۢلِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
lil'mukadhibīnayawma-idhinwaylun
Woethat Dayto the deniers
83:10
ٱلَّذِينَيُكَذِّبُونَبِيَوْمِٱلدِّينِ
l-dīnibiyawmiyukadhibūnaalladhīna
Those whodeny(the) Day(of) the Judgment
83:11
وَمَايُكَذِّبُبِهِۦٓإِلَّاكُلُّمُعْتَدٍأَثِيمٍ
athīminmuʿ'tadinkulluillābihiyukadhibuwamā
And notcan deny[of] itexcepteverytransgressorsinful
83:12
إِذَاتُتْلَىٰعَلَيْهِءَايَـٰتُنَاقَالَأَسَـٰطِيرُٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnaasāṭīruqālaāyātunāʿalayhitut'lāidhā
Whenare recitedto himOur Verseshe saysStories(of) the former (people)
83:13
كَلَّا ۖبَلْ ۜرَانَعَلَىٰقُلُوبِهِممَّاكَانُوا۟يَكْسِبُونَ
yaksibūnakānūqulūbihimʿalārānabalkallā
NayBut(the) stain has covered[over]their hearts(for) whatthey used toearn
83:14
كَلَّآإِنَّهُمْعَنرَّبِّهِمْيَوْمَئِذٍۢلَّمَحْجُوبُونَ
lamaḥjūbūnayawma-idhinrabbihimʿaninnahumkallā
NayIndeed, theyfromtheir Lordthat Daysurely will be partitioned
83:15
ثُمَّإِنَّهُمْلَصَالُوا۟ٱلْجَحِيمِ
l-jaḥīmilaṣālūinnahumthumma
Thenindeed, they(surely) will burn(in) the Hellfire
83:16
ثُمَّيُقَالُهَـٰذَاٱلَّذِىكُنتُمبِهِۦتُكَذِّبُونَ
tukadhibūnabihikuntumalladhīhādhāyuqāluthumma
Thenit will be saidThis(is) whatyou used to[of it]deny
83:17
كَلَّآإِنَّكِتَـٰبَٱلْأَبْرَارِلَفِىعِلِّيِّينَ
ʿilliyyīnalafīl-abrārikitābainnakallā
NayIndeed(the) record(of) the righteous(will be) surely inIlliyin
83:18
وَمَآأَدْرَىٰكَمَاعِلِّيُّونَ
ʿilliyyūnaadrākawamā
And whatcan make you knowwhat(is) Illiyun
83:19
كِتَـٰبٌۭمَّرْقُومٌۭ
marqūmunkitābun
A bookwritten
83:20
يَشْهَدُهُٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ
l-muqarabūnayashhaduhu
Witness itthose brought near
83:21
إِنَّٱلْأَبْرَارَلَفِىنَعِيمٍ
naʿīminlafīl-abrārainna
Indeedthe righteous(will be) surely inbliss
83:22
عَلَىٱلْأَرَآئِكِيَنظُرُونَ
yanẓurūnal-arāikiʿalā
Onthronesobserving
83:23
تَعْرِفُفِىوُجُوهِهِمْنَضْرَةَٱلنَّعِيمِ
l-naʿīminaḍratawujūhihimtaʿrifu
You will recognizeintheir faces(the) radiance(of) bliss
83:24
يُسْقَوْنَمِنرَّحِيقٍۢمَّخْتُومٍ
makhtūminraḥīqinminyus'qawna
They will be given to drinkofa pure winesealed
83:25
خِتَـٰمُهُۥمِسْكٌۭ ۚوَفِىذَٰلِكَفَلْيَتَنَافَسِٱلْمُتَنَـٰفِسُونَ
l-mutanāfisūnafalyatanāfasidhālikawafīmis'kunkhitāmuhu
Its seal(will be of) muskAnd forthatlet aspirethe aspirers
83:26
وَمِزَاجُهُۥمِنتَسْنِيمٍ
tasnīminminwamizājuhu
And its mixture(is) ofTasneem
83:27
عَيْنًۭايَشْرَبُبِهَاٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ
l-muqarabūnabihāyashrabuʿaynan
A springwill drinkfrom itthose brought near
83:28
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَأَجْرَمُوا۟كَانُوا۟مِنَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟يَضْحَكُونَ
yaḍḥakūnaāmanūalladhīnaminakānūajramūalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whocommitted crimesused toatthose whobelievedlaugh
83:29
وَإِذَامَرُّوا۟بِهِمْيَتَغَامَزُونَ
yataghāmazūnabihimmarrūwa-idhā
And whenthey passedby themthey winked at one another
83:30
وَإِذَاٱنقَلَبُوٓا۟إِلَىٰٓأَهْلِهِمُٱنقَلَبُوا۟فَكِهِينَ
fakihīnainqalabūahlihimuilāinqalabūwa-idhā
And whenthey returnedtotheir peoplethey would returnjesting
83:31
وَإِذَارَأَوْهُمْقَالُوٓا۟إِنَّهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِلَضَآلُّونَ
laḍāllūnahāulāiinnaqālūra-awhumwa-idhā
And whenthey saw themthey saidIndeedthesesurely have gone astray
83:32
وَمَآأُرْسِلُوا۟عَلَيْهِمْحَـٰفِظِينَ
ḥāfiẓīnaʿalayhimur'silūwamā
But notthey had been sentover them(as) guardians
83:33
فَٱلْيَوْمَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟مِنَٱلْكُفَّارِيَضْحَكُونَ
yaḍḥakūnal-kufāriminaāmanūalladhīnafal-yawma
So todaythose whobelieved atthe disbelieversthey will laugh
83:34
عَلَىٱلْأَرَآئِكِيَنظُرُونَ
yanẓurūnal-arāikiʿalā
Onthe thronesobserving
83:35
هَلْثُوِّبَٱلْكُفَّارُمَاكَانُوا۟يَفْعَلُونَ
yafʿalūnakānūl-kufāruthuwwibahal
Have (not)been rewardedthe disbelievers(for) whatthey used todo
83:36
Basmala
إِذَاٱلسَّمَآءُٱنشَقَّتْ
inshaqqatl-samāuidhā
Whenthe skyis split asunder
84:1
وَأَذِنَتْلِرَبِّهَاوَحُقَّتْ
waḥuqqatlirabbihāwa-adhinat
And has listenedto its Lordand was obligated
84:2
وَإِذَاٱلْأَرْضُمُدَّتْ
muddatl-arḍuwa-idhā
And whenthe earthis spread
84:3
وَأَلْقَتْمَافِيهَاوَتَخَلَّتْ
watakhallatfīhāwa-alqat
And has cast outwhat(is) in itand becomes empty
84:4
وَأَذِنَتْلِرَبِّهَاوَحُقَّتْ
waḥuqqatlirabbihāwa-adhinat
And has listenedto its Lordand was obligated
84:5
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلْإِنسَـٰنُإِنَّكَكَادِحٌإِلَىٰرَبِّكَكَدْحًۭافَمُلَـٰقِيهِ
famulāqīhikadḥanrabbikailākādiḥuninnakal-insānuyāayyuhā
OmankindIndeed, you(are) laboringtoyour Lord(with) exertionand you (will) meet Him
84:6
فَأَمَّامَنْأُوتِىَكِتَـٰبَهُۥبِيَمِينِهِۦ
biyamīnihikitābahuūtiyamanfa-ammā
Then as for(him) whois givenhis recordin his right (hand)
84:7
فَسَوْفَيُحَاسَبُحِسَابًۭايَسِيرًۭا
yasīranḥisābanyuḥāsabufasawfa
Then soonhis account will be takenan accounteasy
84:8
وَيَنقَلِبُإِلَىٰٓأَهْلِهِۦمَسْرُورًۭا
masrūranahlihiilāwayanqalibu
And he will returntohis peoplehappily
84:9
وَأَمَّامَنْأُوتِىَكِتَـٰبَهُۥوَرَآءَظَهْرِهِۦ
ẓahrihiwarāakitābahuūtiyamanwa-ammā
But as for(him) whois givenhis recordbehindhis back
84:10
فَسَوْفَيَدْعُوا۟ثُبُورًۭا
thubūranyadʿūfasawfa
Then soonhe will call(for) destruction
84:11
وَيَصْلَىٰسَعِيرًا
saʿīranwayaṣlā
And he will burn(in) a Blaze
84:12
إِنَّهُۥكَانَفِىٓأَهْلِهِۦمَسْرُورًا
masrūranahlihikānainnahu
Indeed, hehad beenamonghis peoplehappy
84:13
إِنَّهُۥظَنَّأَنلَّنيَحُورَ
yaḥūralananẓannainnahu
Indeed, he(had) thoughtthatneverhe would return
84:14
بَلَىٰٓإِنَّرَبَّهُۥكَانَبِهِۦبَصِيرًۭا
baṣīranbihikānarabbahuinnabalā
YesIndeedhis Lordwasof himAll-Seer
84:15
فَلَآأُقْسِمُبِٱلشَّفَقِ
bil-shafaqiuq'simufalā
But nayI swearby the twilight glow
84:16
وَٱلَّيْلِوَمَاوَسَقَ
wasaqawamāwa-al-layli
And the nightand whatit envelops
84:17
وَٱلْقَمَرِإِذَاٱتَّسَقَ
ittasaqaidhāwal-qamari
And the moonwhenit becomes full
84:18
لَتَرْكَبُنَّطَبَقًاعَنطَبَقٍۢ
ṭabaqinʿanṭabaqanlatarkabunna
You will surely embark(to) stagefromstage
84:19
فَمَالَهُمْلَايُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūnalahumfamā
So what(is) for themnotthey believe
84:20
وَإِذَاقُرِئَعَلَيْهِمُٱلْقُرْءَانُلَايَسْجُدُونَ ۩
yasjudūnal-qur'ānuʿalayhimuquri-awa-idhā
And whenis recitedto themthe Qurannotthey prostrate
84:21
بَلِٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟يُكَذِّبُونَ
yukadhibūnakafarūalladhīnabali
NayThose whodisbelieveddeny
84:22
وَٱللَّهُأَعْلَمُبِمَايُوعُونَ
yūʿūnabimāaʿlamuwal-lahu
And Allah(is) most knowingof whatthey keep within themselves
84:23
فَبَشِّرْهُمبِعَذَابٍأَلِيمٍ
alīminbiʿadhābinfabashir'hum
so give them tidingsof a punishmentpainful
84:24
إِلَّاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَعَمِلُوا۟ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِلَهُمْأَجْرٌغَيْرُمَمْنُونٍۭ
mamnūninghayruajrunlahuml-ṣāliḥātiwaʿamilūāmanūalladhīnaillā
Exceptthose whobelieveand dorighteous deedsFor them(is) a rewardneverending
84:25
Basmala
وَٱلسَّمَآءِذَاتِٱلْبُرُوجِ
l-burūjidhātiwal-samāi
By the skycontainingthe constellations
85:1
وَٱلْيَوْمِٱلْمَوْعُودِ
l-mawʿūdiwal-yawmi
And the DayPromised
85:2
وَشَاهِدٍۢوَمَشْهُودٍۢ
wamashhūdinwashāhidin
And (the) witnessand what is witnessed
85:3
قُتِلَأَصْحَـٰبُٱلْأُخْدُودِ
l-ukh'dūdiaṣḥābuqutila
Destroyed were(the) companions(of) the pit
85:4
ٱلنَّارِذَاتِٱلْوَقُودِ
l-waqūdidhātial-nāri
(Of) the firefull(of) the fuel
85:5
إِذْهُمْعَلَيْهَاقُعُودٌۭ
quʿūdunʿalayhāhumidh
Whentheyby it(were) sitting
85:6
وَهُمْعَلَىٰمَايَفْعَلُونَبِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَشُهُودٌۭ
shuhūdunbil-mu'minīnayafʿalūnaʿalāwahum
And theyoverwhatthey were doingto the believerswitnesses
85:7
وَمَانَقَمُوا۟مِنْهُمْإِلَّآأَنيُؤْمِنُوا۟بِٱللَّهِٱلْعَزِيزِٱلْحَمِيدِ
l-ḥamīdil-ʿazīzibil-lahiyu'minūanillāmin'humnaqamūwamā
And notthey resented[of] themexceptthatthey believedin Allahthe All-Mightythe Praiseworthy
85:8
ٱلَّذِىلَهُۥمُلْكُٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚوَٱللَّهُعَلَىٰكُلِّشَىْءٍۢشَهِيدٌ
shahīdunshayinkulliʿalāwal-lahuwal-arḍil-samāwātimul'kulahualladhī
The One Whofor Him(is) the dominion(of) the heavensand the earthand Allahoneverything(is) a Witness
85:9
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَفَتَنُوا۟ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَوَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِثُمَّلَمْيَتُوبُوا۟فَلَهُمْعَذَابُجَهَنَّمَوَلَهُمْعَذَابُٱلْحَرِيقِ
l-ḥarīqiʿadhābuwalahumjahannamaʿadhābufalahumyatūbūlamthummawal-mu'minātil-mu'minīnafatanūalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whopersecutedthe believing menand the believing womenthennotthey repentedthen for them(is the) punishment(of) Helland for them(is the) punishment(of) the Burning Fire
85:10
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَعَمِلُوا۟ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِلَهُمْجَنَّـٰتٌۭتَجْرِىمِنتَحْتِهَاٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ۚذَٰلِكَٱلْفَوْزُٱلْكَبِيرُ
l-kabīrul-fawzudhālikal-anhārutaḥtihāmintajrījannātunlahuml-ṣāliḥātiwaʿamilūāmanūalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whobelieveand dothe righteous deedsfor them(will be) Gardensflowfromunderneath itthe riversThat(is) the successthe great
85:11
إِنَّبَطْشَرَبِّكَلَشَدِيدٌ
lashadīdunrabbikabaṭshainna
Indeed(the) Grip(of) your Lord(is) surely strong
85:12
إِنَّهُۥهُوَيُبْدِئُوَيُعِيدُ
wayuʿīduyub'di-uhuwainnahu
Indeed HeHeoriginatesand repeats
85:13
وَهُوَٱلْغَفُورُٱلْوَدُودُ
l-wadūdul-ghafūruwahuwa
And He(is) the Oft-Forgivingthe Most Loving
85:14
ذُوٱلْعَرْشِٱلْمَجِيدُ
l-majīdul-ʿarshidhū
Owner (of)the Thronethe Glorious

فَعَّالٌۭلِّمَايُرِيدُ
yurīdulimāfaʿʿālun
Doerof whatHe intends
85:16
هَلْأَتَىٰكَحَدِيثُٱلْجُنُودِ
l-junūdiḥadīthuatākahal
Hascome to you(the) story(of) the hosts
85:17
فِرْعَوْنَوَثَمُودَ
wathamūdafir'ʿawna
Firaunand Thamud
85:18
بَلِٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟فِىتَكْذِيبٍۢ
takdhībinkafarūalladhīnabali
NayThose whodisbelieve(are) indenial
85:19
وَٱللَّهُمِنوَرَآئِهِممُّحِيطٌۢ
muḥīṭunwarāihimminwal-lahu
But Allahfrombehind themencompasses
85:20
بَلْهُوَقُرْءَانٌۭمَّجِيدٌۭ
majīdunqur'ānunhuwabal
NayIt(is) a QuranGlorious
85:21
فِىلَوْحٍۢمَّحْفُوظٍۭ
maḥfūẓinlawḥin
Ina TabletGuarded
85:22
Basmala
وَٱلسَّمَآءِوَٱلطَّارِقِ
wal-ṭāriqiwal-samāi
By the skyand the night comer
86:1
وَمَآأَدْرَىٰكَمَاٱلطَّارِقُ
l-ṭāriquadrākawamā
And whatcan make you knowwhatthe night comer (is)
86:2
ٱلنَّجْمُٱلثَّاقِبُ
l-thāqibual-najmu
(It is) the starthe piercing
86:3
إِنكُلُّنَفْسٍۢلَّمَّاعَلَيْهَاحَافِظٌۭ
ḥāfiẓunʿalayhālammānafsinkulluin
Not(is) everysoulbutover it(is) a protector
86:4
فَلْيَنظُرِٱلْإِنسَـٰنُمِمَّخُلِقَ
khuliqamimmal-insānufalyanẓuri
So let seemanfrom whathe is created
86:5
خُلِقَمِنمَّآءٍۢدَافِقٍۢ
dāfiqinmāinminkhuliqa
He is createdfroma waterejected
86:6
يَخْرُجُمِنۢبَيْنِٱلصُّلْبِوَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ
wal-tarāibil-ṣul'bibayniminyakhruju
Coming forthfrombetweenthe backboneand the ribs
86:7
إِنَّهُۥعَلَىٰرَجْعِهِۦلَقَادِرٌۭ
laqādirunrajʿihiʿalāinnahu
Indeed, Hetoreturn him(is) Able
86:8
يَوْمَتُبْلَىٱلسَّرَآئِرُ
l-sarāirutub'lāyawma
(The) Daywill be testedthe secrets
86:9
فَمَالَهُۥمِنقُوَّةٍۢوَلَانَاصِرٍۢ
nāṣirinwalāquwwatinminlahufamā
Then not(is) for himanypowerand notany helper
86:10
وَٱلسَّمَآءِذَاتِٱلرَّجْعِ
l-rajʿidhātiwal-samāi
By the skywhichreturns
86:11
وَٱلْأَرْضِذَاتِٱلصَّدْعِ
l-ṣadʿidhātiwal-arḍi
And the earthwhichcracks open
86:12
إِنَّهُۥلَقَوْلٌۭفَصْلٌۭ
faṣlunlaqawluninnahu
Indeed, it(is) surely a Worddecisive
86:13
وَمَاهُوَبِٱلْهَزْلِ
bil-hazlihuwawamā
And notit(is) for amusement
86:14
إِنَّهُمْيَكِيدُونَكَيْدًۭا
kaydanyakīdūnainnahum
Indeed, theyare plottinga plot
86:15
وَأَكِيدُكَيْدًۭا
kaydanwa-akīdu
But I am planninga plan
86:16
فَمَهِّلِٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَأَمْهِلْهُمْرُوَيْدًۢا
ruwaydanamhil'huml-kāfirīnafamahhili
So give respite(to) the disbelieversGive respite to them little
86:17
Basmala
سَبِّحِٱسْمَرَبِّكَٱلْأَعْلَى
l-aʿlārabbikais'masabbiḥi
Glorify(the) name(of) your Lordthe Most High
87:1
ٱلَّذِىخَلَقَفَسَوَّىٰ
fasawwākhalaqaalladhī
The One Whocreatedthen proportioned
87:2
وَٱلَّذِىقَدَّرَفَهَدَىٰ
fahadāqaddarawa-alladhī
And the One Whomeasuredthen guided
87:3
وَٱلَّذِىٓأَخْرَجَٱلْمَرْعَىٰ
l-marʿāakhrajawa-alladhī
And the One Whobrings forththe pasture
87:4
فَجَعَلَهُۥغُثَآءًأَحْوَىٰ
aḥwāghuthāanfajaʿalahu
And then makes itstubbledark
87:5
سَنُقْرِئُكَفَلَاتَنسَىٰٓ
tansāfalāsanuq'ri-uka
We will make you reciteso notyou will forget
87:6
إِلَّامَاشَآءَٱللَّهُ ۚإِنَّهُۥيَعْلَمُٱلْجَهْرَوَمَايَخْفَىٰ
yakhfāwamāl-jahrayaʿlamuinnahul-lahushāaillā
ExceptwhatwillsAllahIndeed, Heknowsthe manifestand whatis hidden
87:7
وَنُيَسِّرُكَلِلْيُسْرَىٰ
lil'yus'rāwanuyassiruka
And We will ease youto the ease
87:8
فَذَكِّرْإِننَّفَعَتِٱلذِّكْرَىٰ
l-dhik'rānafaʿatiinfadhakkir
So remindifbenefitsthe reminder
87:9
سَيَذَّكَّرُمَنيَخْشَىٰ
yakhshāmansayadhakkaru
He will pay heed (one) whofears (Allah)
87:10
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَاٱلْأَشْقَى
l-ashqāwayatajannabuhā
And will avoid itthe wretched one
87:11
ٱلَّذِىيَصْلَىٱلنَّارَٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
l-kub'rāl-nārayaṣlāalladhī
The one whowill burn(in) the Fire[the] great
87:12
ثُمَّلَايَمُوتُفِيهَاوَلَايَحْيَىٰ
yaḥyāwalāfīhāyamūtuthumma
Thennothe will diethereinand notwill live
87:13
قَدْأَفْلَحَمَنتَزَكَّىٰ
tazakkāmanaflaḥaqad
Certainlyhas succeeded(one) whopurifies (himself)
87:14
وَذَكَرَٱسْمَرَبِّهِۦفَصَلَّىٰ
faṣallārabbihiis'mawadhakara
And remembers(the) name(of) his Lordand prays
87:15
بَلْتُؤْثِرُونَٱلْحَيَوٰةَٱلدُّنْيَا
l-dun'yāl-ḥayatatu'thirūnabal
NayYou preferthe life(of) the world
87:16
وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُخَيْرٌۭوَأَبْقَىٰٓ
wa-abqākhayrunwal-ākhiratu
While the Hereafter(is) betterand everlasting
87:17
إِنَّهَـٰذَالَفِىٱلصُّحُفِٱلْأُولَىٰ
l-ūlāl-ṣuḥufilafīhādhāinna
Indeedthissurely (is) inthe Scriptures[the] former
87:18
صُحُفِإِبْرَٰهِيمَوَمُوسَىٰ
wamūsāib'rāhīmaṣuḥufi
(The) Scriptures(of) Ibrahimand Musa
87:19
Basmala
هَلْأَتَىٰكَحَدِيثُٱلْغَـٰشِيَةِ
l-ghāshiyatiḥadīthuatākahal
Has(there) come to you(the) news(of) the Overwhelming
88:1
وُجُوهٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍخَـٰشِعَةٌ
khāshiʿatunyawma-idhinwujūhun
Facesthat Day(will be) humbled
88:2
عَامِلَةٌۭنَّاصِبَةٌۭ
nāṣibatunʿāmilatun
Laboringexhausted
88:3
تَصْلَىٰنَارًاحَامِيَةًۭ
ḥāmiyatannārantaṣlā
They will burn(in) a Fireintensely hot
88:4
تُسْقَىٰمِنْعَيْنٍءَانِيَةٍۢ
āniyatinʿayninmintus'qā
They will be given to drinkfroma springboiling
88:5
لَّيْسَلَهُمْطَعَامٌإِلَّامِنضَرِيعٍۢ
ḍarīʿinminillāṭaʿāmunlahumlaysa
Not isfor themfoodexceptfroma bitter thorny plant
88:6
لَّايُسْمِنُوَلَايُغْنِىمِنجُوعٍۢ
jūʿinminyugh'nīwalāyus'minu
Notit nourishesand notit availsfromhunger
88:7
وُجُوهٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍۢنَّاعِمَةٌۭ
nāʿimatunyawma-idhinwujūhun
Facesthat Day(will be) joyful
88:8
لِّسَعْيِهَارَاضِيَةٌۭ
rāḍiyatunlisaʿyihā
With their effortsatisfied
88:9
فِىجَنَّةٍعَالِيَةٍۢ
ʿāliyatinjannatin
Ina gardenelevated
88:10
لَّاتَسْمَعُفِيهَالَـٰغِيَةًۭ
lāghiyatanfīhātasmaʿu
Notthey will hearthereinvain talk
88:11
فِيهَاعَيْنٌۭجَارِيَةٌۭ
jāriyatunʿaynunfīhā
Therein(will be) a springflowing
88:12
فِيهَاسُرُرٌۭمَّرْفُوعَةٌۭ
marfūʿatunsururunfīhā
Therein(will be) thronesraised high
88:13
وَأَكْوَابٌۭمَّوْضُوعَةٌۭ
mawḍūʿatunwa-akwābun
And cupsput in place
88:14
وَنَمَارِقُمَصْفُوفَةٌۭ
maṣfūfatunwanamāriqu
And cushionslined up
88:15
وَزَرَابِىُّمَبْثُوثَةٌ
mabthūthatunwazarābiyyu
And carpetsspread out
88:16
أَفَلَايَنظُرُونَإِلَىٱلْإِبِلِكَيْفَخُلِقَتْ
khuliqatkayfal-ibiliilāyanẓurūnaafalā
Then do notthey looktowardsthe camelshowthey are created
88:17
وَإِلَىٱلسَّمَآءِكَيْفَرُفِعَتْ
rufiʿatkayfal-samāiwa-ilā
And towardsthe skyhowit is raised
88:18
وَإِلَىٱلْجِبَالِكَيْفَنُصِبَتْ
nuṣibatkayfal-jibāliwa-ilā
And towardsthe mountainshowthey are fixed
88:19
وَإِلَىٱلْأَرْضِكَيْفَسُطِحَتْ
suṭiḥatkayfal-arḍiwa-ilā
And towardsthe earthhowit is spread out
88:20
فَذَكِّرْإِنَّمَآأَنتَمُذَكِّرٌۭ
mudhakkirunantainnamāfadhakkir
So remindonlyyou(are) a reminder
88:21
لَّسْتَعَلَيْهِمبِمُصَيْطِرٍ
bimuṣayṭirinʿalayhimlasta
You are notover thema controller
88:22
إِلَّامَنتَوَلَّىٰوَكَفَرَ
wakafaratawallāmanillā
Butwhoeverturns awayand disbelieves
88:23
فَيُعَذِّبُهُٱللَّهُٱلْعَذَابَٱلْأَكْبَرَ
l-akbaral-ʿadhābal-lahufayuʿadhibuhu
Then will punish himAllah(with) the punishmentgreatest
88:24
إِنَّإِلَيْنَآإِيَابَهُمْ
iyābahumilaynāinna
Indeedto Us(will be) their return
88:25
ثُمَّإِنَّعَلَيْنَاحِسَابَهُم
ḥisābahumʿalaynāinnathumma
Thenindeedupon Us(is) their account
88:26
Basmala
وَٱلْفَجْرِ
wal-fajri
By the dawn
89:1
وَلَيَالٍعَشْرٍۢ
ʿashrinwalayālin
And the nightsten
89:2
وَٱلشَّفْعِوَٱلْوَتْرِ
wal-watriwal-shafʿi
And the evenand the odd
89:3
وَٱلَّيْلِإِذَايَسْرِ
yasriidhāwa-al-layli
And the nightwhenit passes
89:4
هَلْفِىذَٰلِكَقَسَمٌۭلِّذِىحِجْرٍ
ḥij'rinlidhīqasamundhālikahal
Isinthat(not) an oathfor thosewho understand
89:5
أَلَمْتَرَكَيْفَفَعَلَرَبُّكَبِعَادٍ
biʿādinrabbukafaʿalakayfataraalam
Did notyou seehowdealtyour Lordwith Aad
89:6
إِرَمَذَاتِٱلْعِمَادِ
l-ʿimādidhātiirama
Irampossessors (of)lofty pillars
89:7
ٱلَّتِىلَمْيُخْلَقْمِثْلُهَافِىٱلْبِلَـٰدِ
l-bilādimith'luhāyukh'laqlamallatī
Whichnothad been createdlike theminthe cities
89:8
وَثَمُودَٱلَّذِينَجَابُوا۟ٱلصَّخْرَبِٱلْوَادِ
bil-wādil-ṣakhrajābūalladhīnawathamūda
And Thamudwhocarved outthe rocksin the valley
89:9
وَفِرْعَوْنَذِىٱلْأَوْتَادِ
l-awtādidhīwafir'ʿawna
And Firaunowner ofstakes
89:10
ٱلَّذِينَطَغَوْا۟فِىٱلْبِلَـٰدِ
l-bilādiṭaghawalladhīna
Whotransgressedinthe lands
89:11
فَأَكْثَرُوا۟فِيهَاٱلْفَسَادَ
l-fasādafīhāfa-aktharū
And (made) muchthereincorruption
89:12
فَصَبَّعَلَيْهِمْرَبُّكَسَوْطَعَذَابٍ
ʿadhābinsawṭarabbukaʿalayhimfaṣabba
So pouredon themyour Lordscourge(of) punishment
89:13
إِنَّرَبَّكَلَبِٱلْمِرْصَادِ
labil-mir'ṣādirabbakainna
Indeedyour Lord(is) surely Ever Watchful
89:14
فَأَمَّاٱلْإِنسَـٰنُإِذَامَاٱبْتَلَىٰهُرَبُّهُۥفَأَكْرَمَهُۥوَنَعَّمَهُۥفَيَقُولُرَبِّىٓأَكْرَمَنِ
akramanirabbīfayaqūluwanaʿʿamahufa-akramahurabbuhuib'talāhuidhāl-insānufa-ammā
And as formanwhendoestry himhis Lordand is generous to himand favors himhe saysMy Lordhas honored me
89:15
وَأَمَّآإِذَامَاٱبْتَلَىٰهُفَقَدَرَعَلَيْهِرِزْقَهُۥفَيَقُولُرَبِّىٓأَهَـٰنَنِ
ahānanirabbīfayaqūluriz'qahuʿalayhifaqadaraib'talāhuidhāwa-ammā
ButwhendoesHe try himand restrictsfor himhis provisionthen he saysMy Lord(has) humiliated me
89:16
كَلَّا ۖبَللَّاتُكْرِمُونَٱلْيَتِيمَ
l-yatīmatuk'rimūnabalkallā
NayButnotyou honorthe orphan
89:17
وَلَاتَحَـٰٓضُّونَعَلَىٰطَعَامِٱلْمِسْكِينِ
l-mis'kīniṭaʿāmiʿalātaḥāḍḍūnawalā
And notyou feel the urgetofeedthe poor
89:18
وَتَأْكُلُونَٱلتُّرَاثَأَكْلًۭالَّمًّۭا
lammanaklanl-turāthawatakulūna
And you consumethe inheritancedevouringaltogether
89:19
وَتُحِبُّونَٱلْمَالَحُبًّۭاجَمًّۭا
jammanḥubbanl-mālawatuḥibbūna
And you lovewealth(with) loveimmense
89:20
كَلَّآإِذَادُكَّتِٱلْأَرْضُدَكًّۭادَكًّۭا
dakkandakkanl-arḍudukkatiidhākallā
NayWhenis leveledthe earthpounded(and) crushed
89:21
وَجَآءَرَبُّكَوَٱلْمَلَكُصَفًّۭاصَفًّۭا
ṣaffanṣaffanwal-malakurabbukawajāa
And comesyour Lordand the Angelsrank(upon) rank
89:22
وَجِا۟ىٓءَيَوْمَئِذٍۭبِجَهَنَّمَ ۚيَوْمَئِذٍۢيَتَذَكَّرُٱلْإِنسَـٰنُوَأَنَّىٰلَهُٱلذِّكْرَىٰ
l-dhik'rālahuwa-annāl-insānuyatadhakkaruyawma-idhinbijahannamayawma-idhinwajīa
And is broughtthat DayHellThat Daywill remembermanbut how(will be) for himthe remembrance
89:23
يَقُولُيَـٰلَيْتَنِىقَدَّمْتُلِحَيَاتِى
liḥayātīqaddamtuyālaytanīyaqūlu
He will sayO I wishI had sent forthfor my life
89:24
فَيَوْمَئِذٍۢلَّايُعَذِّبُعَذَابَهُۥٓأَحَدٌۭ
aḥadunʿadhābahuyuʿadhibufayawma-idhin
So that Daynotwill punish(as) His punishmentanyone
89:25
وَلَايُوثِقُوَثَاقَهُۥٓأَحَدٌۭ
aḥadunwathāqahuyūthiquwalā
And notwill bind(as) His bindinganyone
89:26
يَـٰٓأَيَّتُهَاٱلنَّفْسُٱلْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ
l-muṭ'ma-inatul-nafsuyāayyatuhā
Osoulwho is satisfied
89:27
ٱرْجِعِىٓإِلَىٰرَبِّكِرَاضِيَةًۭمَّرْضِيَّةًۭ
marḍiyyatanrāḍiyatanrabbikiilāir'jiʿī
Returntoyour Lordwell pleasedand pleasing
89:28
فَٱدْخُلِىفِىعِبَـٰدِى
ʿibādīfa-ud'khulī
So enteramongMy slaves
89:29
وَٱدْخُلِىجَنَّتِى
jannatīwa-ud'khulī
And enterMy Paradise
89:30
Basmala
لَآأُقْسِمُبِهَـٰذَاٱلْبَلَدِ
l-baladibihādhāuq'simu
NayI swearby thiscity
90:1
وَأَنتَحِلٌّۢبِهَـٰذَاٱلْبَلَدِ
l-baladibihādhāḥillunwa-anta
And you(are) free (to dwell)in thiscity
90:2
وَوَالِدٍۢوَمَاوَلَدَ
waladawamāwawālidin
And the begetterand whathe begot
90:3
لَقَدْخَلَقْنَاٱلْإِنسَـٰنَفِىكَبَدٍ
kabadinl-insānakhalaqnālaqad
CertainlyWe have createdman(to be) inhardship
90:4
أَيَحْسَبُأَنلَّنيَقْدِرَعَلَيْهِأَحَدٌۭ
aḥadunʿalayhiyaqdiralananayaḥsabu
Does he thinkthatnothas powerover himanyone
90:5
يَقُولُأَهْلَكْتُمَالًۭالُّبَدًا
lubadanmālanahlaktuyaqūlu
He will sayI have squanderedwealthabundant
90:6
أَيَحْسَبُأَنلَّمْيَرَهُۥٓأَحَدٌ
aḥadunyarahulamanayaḥsabu
Does he thinkthatnotsees himanyone
90:7
أَلَمْنَجْعَللَّهُۥعَيْنَيْنِ
ʿaynaynilahunajʿalalam
Have notWe madefor himtwo eyes
90:8
وَلِسَانًۭاوَشَفَتَيْنِ
washafatayniwalisānan
And a tongueand two lips
90:9
وَهَدَيْنَـٰهُٱلنَّجْدَيْنِ
l-najdayniwahadaynāhu
And shown himthe two ways
90:10
فَلَاٱقْتَحَمَٱلْعَقَبَةَ
l-ʿaqabataiq'taḥamafalā
But nothe has attemptedthe steep path
90:11
وَمَآأَدْرَىٰكَمَاٱلْعَقَبَةُ
l-ʿaqabatuadrākawamā
And whatcan make you knowwhatthe steep path (is)
90:12
فَكُّرَقَبَةٍ
raqabatinfakku
(It is) freeinga neck
90:13
أَوْإِطْعَـٰمٌۭفِىيَوْمٍۢذِىمَسْغَبَةٍۢ
masghabatindhīyawminiṭ'ʿāmunaw
Orfeedingina dayofsevere hunger
90:14
يَتِيمًۭاذَامَقْرَبَةٍ
maqrabatindhāyatīman
An orphanofnear relationship
90:15
أَوْمِسْكِينًۭاذَامَتْرَبَةٍۢ
matrabatindhāmis'kīnanaw
Ora needy personinmisery
90:16
ثُمَّكَانَمِنَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَتَوَاصَوْا۟بِٱلصَّبْرِوَتَوَاصَوْا۟بِٱلْمَرْحَمَةِ
bil-marḥamatiwatawāṣawbil-ṣabriwatawāṣawāmanūalladhīnaminakānathumma
Thenhe isofthose whobelieveand enjoin (each other)to patienceand enjoin (each other)to compassion
90:17
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَأَصْحَـٰبُٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ
l-maymanatiaṣḥābuulāika
Those(are the) companions(of) the right (hand)
90:18
وَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاهُمْأَصْحَـٰبُٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ
l-mashamatiaṣḥābuhumbiāyātinākafarūwa-alladhīna
But those whodisbelievein Our Versesthey(are the) companions(of) the left (hand)
90:19
عَلَيْهِمْنَارٌۭمُّؤْصَدَةٌۢ
mu'ṣadatunnārunʿalayhim
Over them(will be the) Fireclosed in
90:20
Basmala
وَٱلشَّمْسِوَضُحَىٰهَا
waḍuḥāhāwal-shamsi
By the sunand its brightness
91:1
وَٱلْقَمَرِإِذَاتَلَىٰهَا
talāhāidhāwal-qamari
And the moonwhenit follows it
91:2
وَٱلنَّهَارِإِذَاجَلَّىٰهَا
jallāhāidhāwal-nahāri
And the daywhenit displays it
91:3
وَٱلَّيْلِإِذَايَغْشَىٰهَا
yaghshāhāidhāwa-al-layli
And the nightwhenit covers it
91:4
وَٱلسَّمَآءِوَمَابَنَىٰهَا
banāhāwamāwal-samāi
And the heavenand (He) Whoconstructed it
91:5
وَٱلْأَرْضِوَمَاطَحَىٰهَا
ṭaḥāhāwamāwal-arḍi
And the earthand by (He) Whospread it
91:6
وَنَفْسٍۢوَمَاسَوَّىٰهَا
sawwāhāwamāwanafsin
And (the) souland (He) Whoproportioned it
91:7
فَأَلْهَمَهَافُجُورَهَاوَتَقْوَىٰهَا
wataqwāhāfujūrahāfa-alhamahā
And He inspired it(to distinguish) its wickednessand its righteousness
91:8
قَدْأَفْلَحَمَنزَكَّىٰهَا
zakkāhāmanaflaḥaqad
Indeedhe succeedswhopurifies it
91:9
وَقَدْخَابَمَندَسَّىٰهَا
dassāhāmankhābawaqad
And indeedhe failswhoburies it
91:10
كَذَّبَتْثَمُودُبِطَغْوَىٰهَآ
biṭaghwāhāthamūdukadhabat
DeniedThamudby their transgression
91:11
إِذِٱنۢبَعَثَأَشْقَىٰهَا
ashqāhāinbaʿathaidhi
When(was) sent forth(the) most wicked of them
91:12
فَقَالَلَهُمْرَسُولُٱللَّهِنَاقَةَٱللَّهِوَسُقْيَـٰهَا
wasuq'yāhāl-lahināqatal-lahirasūlulahumfaqāla
But saidto them(the) Messenger(of) Allah(It is the) she-camel(of) Allahand her drink
91:13
فَكَذَّبُوهُفَعَقَرُوهَافَدَمْدَمَعَلَيْهِمْرَبُّهُمبِذَنۢبِهِمْفَسَوَّىٰهَا
fasawwāhābidhanbihimrabbuhumʿalayhimfadamdamafaʿaqarūhāfakadhabūhu
But they denied himand they hamstrung herSo destroyedthemtheir Lordfor their sinand leveled them
91:14
وَلَايَخَافُعُقْبَـٰهَا
ʿuq'bāhāyakhāfuwalā
And notHe fearsits consequences
91:15
Basmala
وَٱلَّيْلِإِذَايَغْشَىٰ
yaghshāidhāwa-al-layli
By the nightwhenit covers
92:1
وَٱلنَّهَارِإِذَاتَجَلَّىٰ
tajallāidhāwal-nahāri
And the daywhenit shines in brightness
92:2
وَمَاخَلَقَٱلذَّكَرَوَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ
wal-unthāl-dhakarakhalaqawamā
And He Whocreatedthe maleand the female
92:3
إِنَّسَعْيَكُمْلَشَتَّىٰ
lashattāsaʿyakuminna
Indeedyour efforts(are) surely diverse
92:4
فَأَمَّامَنْأَعْطَىٰوَٱتَّقَىٰ
wa-ittaqāaʿṭāmanfa-ammā
Then as for(him) whogivesand fears
92:5
وَصَدَّقَبِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
bil-ḥus'nāwaṣaddaqa
And believesin the best
92:6
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥلِلْيُسْرَىٰ
lil'yus'rāfasanuyassiruhu
Then We will ease himtowards [the] ease
92:7
وَأَمَّامَنۢبَخِلَوَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ
wa-is'taghnābakhilamanwa-ammā
But as for(him) whowithholdsand considers himself free from need
92:8
وَكَذَّبَبِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
bil-ḥus'nāwakadhaba
And deniesthe best
92:9
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥلِلْعُسْرَىٰ
lil'ʿus'rāfasanuyassiruhu
Then We will ease himtowards [the] difficulty
92:10
وَمَايُغْنِىعَنْهُمَالُهُۥٓإِذَاتَرَدَّىٰٓ
taraddāidhāmāluhuʿanhuyugh'nīwamā
And notwill availhimhis wealthwhenhe falls
92:11
إِنَّعَلَيْنَالَلْهُدَىٰ
lalhudāʿalaynāinna
Indeedupon Us(is) the guidance
92:12
وَإِنَّلَنَالَلْـَٔاخِرَةَوَٱلْأُولَىٰ
wal-ūlālalākhiratalanāwa-inna
And indeedfor Us(is) the Hereafterand the first (life)
92:13
فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْنَارًۭاتَلَظَّىٰ
talaẓẓānāranfa-andhartukum
So I warn you(of) a Fireblazing
92:14
لَايَصْلَىٰهَآإِلَّاٱلْأَشْقَى
l-ashqāillāyaṣlāhā
Notwill burn (in) itexceptthe most wretched
92:15
ٱلَّذِىكَذَّبَوَتَوَلَّىٰ
watawallākadhabaalladhī
The one whodeniedand turned away
92:16
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَاٱلْأَتْقَى
l-atqāwasayujannabuhā
But will be removed from itthe righteous
92:17
ٱلَّذِىيُؤْتِىمَالَهُۥيَتَزَكَّىٰ
yatazakkāmālahuyu'tīalladhī
The one whogiveshis wealth(to) purify himself
92:18
وَمَالِأَحَدٍعِندَهُۥمِننِّعْمَةٍۢتُجْزَىٰٓ
tuj'zāniʿ'matinminʿindahuli-aḥadinwamā
And notfor anyonewith himanyfavorto be recompensed
92:19
إِلَّاٱبْتِغَآءَوَجْهِرَبِّهِٱلْأَعْلَىٰ
l-aʿlārabbihiwajhiib'tighāaillā
Exceptseeking(the) Countenance(of) his Lordthe Most High
92:20
وَلَسَوْفَيَرْضَىٰ
yarḍāwalasawfa
And soon, surelyhe will be pleased
92:21
Basmala
وَٱلضُّحَىٰ
wal-ḍuḥā
By the morning brightness
93:1
وَٱلَّيْلِإِذَاسَجَىٰ
sajāidhāwa-al-layli
And the nightwhenit covers with darkness
93:2
مَاوَدَّعَكَرَبُّكَوَمَاقَلَىٰ
qalāwamārabbukawaddaʿaka
Nothas forsaken youyour Lordand notHe is displeased
93:3
وَلَلْـَٔاخِرَةُخَيْرٌۭلَّكَمِنَٱلْأُولَىٰ
l-ūlāminalakakhayrunwalalākhiratu
And surely the Hereafter(is) betterfor youthanthe first
93:4
وَلَسَوْفَيُعْطِيكَرَبُّكَفَتَرْضَىٰٓ
fatarḍārabbukayuʿ'ṭīkawalasawfa
And soonwill give youyour Lordthen you will be satisfied
93:5
أَلَمْيَجِدْكَيَتِيمًۭافَـَٔاوَىٰ
faāwāyatīmanyajid'kaalam
Did notHe find youan orphanand give shelter
93:6
وَوَجَدَكَضَآلًّۭافَهَدَىٰ
fahadāḍāllanwawajadaka
And He found youlostso He guided
93:7
وَوَجَدَكَعَآئِلًۭافَأَغْنَىٰ
fa-aghnāʿāilanwawajadaka
And He found youin needso He made self-sufficient
93:8
فَأَمَّاٱلْيَتِيمَفَلَاتَقْهَرْ
taqharfalāl-yatīmafa-ammā
So as forthe orphanthen (do) notoppress
93:9
وَأَمَّاٱلسَّآئِلَفَلَاتَنْهَرْ
tanharfalāl-sāilawa-ammā
And as forone who asksthen (do) notrepel
93:10
وَأَمَّابِنِعْمَةِرَبِّكَفَحَدِّثْ
faḥaddithrabbikabiniʿ'matiwa-ammā
But as for(the) Favor(of) your Lordnarrate
93:11
Basmala
أَلَمْنَشْرَحْلَكَصَدْرَكَ
ṣadrakalakanashraḥalam
Have notWe expandedfor youyour breast
94:1
وَوَضَعْنَاعَنكَوِزْرَكَ
wiz'rakaʿankawawaḍaʿnā
And We removedfrom youyour burden
94:2
ٱلَّذِىٓأَنقَضَظَهْرَكَ
ẓahrakaanqaḍaalladhī
Whichweighed uponyour back
94:3
وَرَفَعْنَالَكَذِكْرَكَ
dhik'rakalakawarafaʿnā
And We raised highfor youyour reputation
94:4
فَإِنَّمَعَٱلْعُسْرِيُسْرًا
yus'ranl-ʿus'rimaʿafa-inna
So indeedwiththe hardship(is) ease
94:5
إِنَّمَعَٱلْعُسْرِيُسْرًۭا
yus'ranl-ʿus'rimaʿainna
Indeedwiththe hardship(is) ease
94:6
فَإِذَافَرَغْتَفَٱنصَبْ
fa-inṣabfaraghtafa-idhā
So whenyou have finishedthen labor hard
94:7
وَإِلَىٰرَبِّكَفَٱرْغَب
fa-ir'ghabrabbikawa-ilā
And toyour Lordturn your attention
94:8
Basmala
وَٱلتِّينِوَٱلزَّيْتُونِ
wal-zaytūniwal-tīni
By the figand the olive
95:1
وَطُورِسِينِينَ
sīnīnawaṭūri
And (the) MountSinai
95:2
وَهَـٰذَاٱلْبَلَدِٱلْأَمِينِ
l-amīnil-baladiwahādhā
And this[the] city[the] secure
95:3
لَقَدْخَلَقْنَاٱلْإِنسَـٰنَفِىٓأَحْسَنِتَقْوِيمٍۢ
taqwīminaḥsanil-insānakhalaqnālaqad
IndeedWe createdmanin(the) bestmould
95:4
ثُمَّرَدَدْنَـٰهُأَسْفَلَسَـٰفِلِينَ
sāfilīnaasfalaradadnāhuthumma
ThenWe returned him(to the) lowest(of the) low
95:5
إِلَّاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَعَمِلُوا۟ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِفَلَهُمْأَجْرٌغَيْرُمَمْنُونٍۢ
mamnūninghayruajrunfalahuml-ṣāliḥātiwaʿamilūāmanūalladhīnaillā
Exceptthose whobelieveand dorighteous deedsthen for them(is a) rewardneverending
95:6
فَمَايُكَذِّبُكَبَعْدُبِٱلدِّينِ
bil-dīnibaʿduyukadhibukafamā
Then whatcauses you to denyafter (this)the judgment
95:7
أَلَيْسَٱللَّهُبِأَحْكَمِٱلْحَـٰكِمِينَ
l-ḥākimīnabi-aḥkamil-lahualaysa
Is notAllah(the) Most Just(of) the Judges
95:8
Basmala
ٱقْرَأْبِٱسْمِرَبِّكَٱلَّذِىخَلَقَ
khalaqaalladhīrabbikabi-is'miiq'ra
Readin (the) name(of) your Lordthe One Whocreated
96:1
خَلَقَٱلْإِنسَـٰنَمِنْعَلَقٍ
ʿalaqinminl-insānakhalaqa
He createdmanfroma clinging substance
96:2
ٱقْرَأْوَرَبُّكَٱلْأَكْرَمُ
l-akramuwarabbukaiq'ra
Readand your Lord(is) the Most Generous
96:3
ٱلَّذِىعَلَّمَبِٱلْقَلَمِ
bil-qalamiʿallamaalladhī
The One Whotaughtby the pen
96:4
عَلَّمَٱلْإِنسَـٰنَمَالَمْيَعْلَمْ
yaʿlamlaml-insānaʿallama
Taughtmanwhatnothe knew
96:5
كَلَّآإِنَّٱلْإِنسَـٰنَلَيَطْغَىٰٓ
layaṭghāl-insānainnakallā
NayIndeedmansurely transgresses
96:6
أَنرَّءَاهُٱسْتَغْنَىٰٓ
is'taghnāraāhuan
Thathe sees himselfself-sufficient
96:7
إِنَّإِلَىٰرَبِّكَٱلرُّجْعَىٰٓ
l-ruj'ʿārabbikailāinna
Indeedtoyour Lord(is) the return
96:8
أَرَءَيْتَٱلَّذِىيَنْهَىٰ
yanhāalladhīara-ayta
Have you seenthe one whoforbids
96:9
عَبْدًاإِذَاصَلَّىٰٓ
ṣallāidhāʿabdan
A slavewhenhe prays
96:10
أَرَءَيْتَإِنكَانَعَلَىٱلْهُدَىٰٓ
l-hudāʿalākānainara-ayta
Have you seenifhe isupon[the] guidance
96:11
أَوْأَمَرَبِٱلتَّقْوَىٰٓ
bil-taqwāamaraaw
Orhe enjoins[of the] righteousness
96:12
أَرَءَيْتَإِنكَذَّبَوَتَوَلَّىٰٓ
watawallākadhabainara-ayta
Have you seenifhe deniesand turns away
96:13
أَلَمْيَعْلَمبِأَنَّٱللَّهَيَرَىٰ
yarāl-lahabi-annayaʿlamalam
Does nothe knowthatAllahsees
96:14
كَلَّالَئِنلَّمْيَنتَهِلَنَسْفَعًۢابِٱلنَّاصِيَةِ
bil-nāṣiyatilanasfaʿanyantahilamla-inkallā
NayIfnothe desistssurely We will drag himby the forelock
96:15
نَاصِيَةٍۢكَـٰذِبَةٍخَاطِئَةٍۢ
khāṭi-atinkādhibatinnāṣiyatin
A forelocklyingsinful
96:16
فَلْيَدْعُنَادِيَهُۥ
nādiyahufalyadʿu
Then let him callhis associates
96:17
سَنَدْعُٱلزَّبَانِيَةَ
l-zabāniyatasanadʿu
We will callthe Angels of Hell
96:18
كَلَّالَاتُطِعْهُوَٱسْجُدْوَٱقْتَرِب ۩
wa-iq'taribwa-us'judtuṭiʿ'hukallā
Nay(Do) notobey himBut prostrateand draw near (to Allah)
96:19
Basmala
إِنَّآأَنزَلْنَـٰهُفِىلَيْلَةِٱلْقَدْرِ
l-qadrilaylatianzalnāhuinnā
Indeed, Werevealed itin(the) Night(of) Power
97:1
وَمَآأَدْرَىٰكَمَالَيْلَةُٱلْقَدْرِ
l-qadrilaylatuadrākawamā
And whatcan make you knowwhat(the) Night(of) Power (is)
97:2
لَيْلَةُٱلْقَدْرِخَيْرٌۭمِّنْأَلْفِشَهْرٍۢ
shahrinalfiminkhayrunl-qadrilaylatu
(The) Night(of) Power(is) betterthana thousandmonth(s)
97:3
تَنَزَّلُٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُوَٱلرُّوحُفِيهَابِإِذْنِرَبِّهِممِّنكُلِّأَمْرٍۢ
amrinkulliminrabbihimbi-idh'nifīhāwal-rūḥul-malāikatutanazzalu
Descendthe Angelsand the Spiritthereinby (the) permission(of) their Lordforeveryaffair
97:4
سَلَـٰمٌهِىَحَتَّىٰمَطْلَعِٱلْفَجْرِ
l-fajrimaṭlaʿiḥattāhiyasalāmun
Peaceit (is)until(the) emergence(of) the dawn
97:5
Basmala
لَمْيَكُنِٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟مِنْأَهْلِٱلْكِتَـٰبِوَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَمُنفَكِّينَحَتَّىٰتَأْتِيَهُمُٱلْبَيِّنَةُ
l-bayinatutatiyahumuḥattāmunfakkīnawal-mush'rikīnal-kitābiahliminkafarūalladhīnayakunilam
Notwerethose whodisbelievedfrom(the) Peopleof the Bookand the polytheiststo be abandoneduntil(there) comes to themthe clear evidence
98:1
رَسُولٌۭمِّنَٱللَّهِيَتْلُوا۟صُحُفًۭامُّطَهَّرَةًۭ
muṭahharatanṣuḥufanyatlūl-lahiminarasūlun
A MessengerfromAllahrecitingpagespurified
98:2
فِيهَاكُتُبٌۭقَيِّمَةٌۭ
qayyimatunkutubunfīhā
Wherein(are) writingscorrect
98:3
وَمَاتَفَرَّقَٱلَّذِينَأُوتُوا۟ٱلْكِتَـٰبَإِلَّامِنۢبَعْدِمَاجَآءَتْهُمُٱلْبَيِّنَةُ
l-bayinatujāathumubaʿdiminillāl-kitābaūtūalladhīnatafarraqawamā
And notbecame dividedthose whowere giventhe Bookuntilfromafterwhatcame (to) them(of) the clear evidence
98:4
وَمَآأُمِرُوٓا۟إِلَّالِيَعْبُدُوا۟ٱللَّهَمُخْلِصِينَلَهُٱلدِّينَحُنَفَآءَوَيُقِيمُوا۟ٱلصَّلَوٰةَوَيُؤْتُوا۟ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ ۚوَذَٰلِكَدِينُٱلْقَيِّمَةِ
l-qayimatidīnuwadhālikal-zakatawayu'tūl-ṣalatawayuqīmūḥunafāal-dīnalahumukh'liṣīnal-lahaliyaʿbudūillāumirūwamā
And notthey were commandedexceptto worshipAllah(being) sincereto Him(in) the religionuprightand to establishthe prayerand to givethe zakahAnd that(is the) religionthe correct
98:5
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟مِنْأَهْلِٱلْكِتَـٰبِوَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَفِىنَارِجَهَنَّمَخَـٰلِدِينَفِيهَآ ۚأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمْشَرُّٱلْبَرِيَّةِ
l-bariyatisharruhumulāikafīhākhālidīnajahannamanāriwal-mush'rikīnal-kitābiahliminkafarūalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whodisbelievefrom(the) People(of) the Bookand the polytheists(will be) in(the) Fire(of) Hellabiding eternallythereinThose they(are the) worst(of) the creatures
98:6
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَعَمِلُوا۟ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمْخَيْرُٱلْبَرِيَّةِ
l-bariyatikhayruhumulāikal-ṣāliḥātiwaʿamilūāmanūalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whobelieveand dorighteous deedsthose they(are the) best(of) the creatures
98:7
جَزَآؤُهُمْعِندَرَبِّهِمْجَنَّـٰتُعَدْنٍۢتَجْرِىمِنتَحْتِهَاٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُخَـٰلِدِينَفِيهَآأَبَدًۭا ۖرَّضِىَٱللَّهُعَنْهُمْوَرَضُوا۟عَنْهُ ۚذَٰلِكَلِمَنْخَشِىَرَبَّهُۥ
rabbahukhashiyalimandhālikaʿanhuwaraḍūʿanhuml-lahuraḍiyaabadanfīhākhālidīnal-anhārutaḥtihāmintajrīʿadninjannāturabbihimʿindajazāuhum
Their reward(is) withtheir Lord Gardens(of) Eternityflowfromunderneath themthe riverswill abidethereinforever(will be) pleasedAllahwith themand they (will be) pleasedwith HimThat(is) for whoeverfearedhis Lord
98:8
Basmala
إِذَازُلْزِلَتِٱلْأَرْضُزِلْزَالَهَا
zil'zālahāl-arḍuzul'zilatiidhā
Whenis shakenthe earth(with) its earthquake
99:1
وَأَخْرَجَتِٱلْأَرْضُأَثْقَالَهَا
athqālahāl-arḍuwa-akhrajati
And brings forththe earthits burdens
99:2
وَقَالَٱلْإِنسَـٰنُمَالَهَا
lahāl-insānuwaqāla
And saysmanWhat(is) with it
99:3
يَوْمَئِذٍۢتُحَدِّثُأَخْبَارَهَا
akhbārahātuḥaddithuyawma-idhin
That Dayit will reportits news
99:4
بِأَنَّرَبَّكَأَوْحَىٰلَهَا
lahāawḥārabbakabi-anna
Becauseyour Lordinspired[to] it
99:5
يَوْمَئِذٍۢيَصْدُرُٱلنَّاسُأَشْتَاتًۭالِّيُرَوْا۟أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ
aʿmālahumliyurawashtātanl-nāsuyaṣduruyawma-idhin
That Daywill proceedthe mankind(in) scattered groupsto be showntheir deeds
99:6
فَمَنيَعْمَلْمِثْقَالَذَرَّةٍخَيْرًۭايَرَهُۥ
yarahukhayrandharratinmith'qālayaʿmalfaman
So whoeverdoes(equal to the) weight(of) an atomgoodwill see it
99:7
وَمَنيَعْمَلْمِثْقَالَذَرَّةٍۢشَرًّۭايَرَهُۥ
yarahusharrandharratinmith'qālayaʿmalwaman
And whoeverdoes(equal to the) weight(of) an atomevilwill see it
99:8
Basmala
وَٱلْعَـٰدِيَـٰتِضَبْحًۭا
ḍabḥanwal-ʿādiyāti
By the racerspanting
100:1
فَٱلْمُورِيَـٰتِقَدْحًۭا
qadḥanfal-mūriyāti
And the producers of sparksstriking
100:2
فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِصُبْحًۭا
ṣub'ḥanfal-mughīrāti
And the chargers(at) dawn
100:3
فَأَثَرْنَبِهِۦنَقْعًۭا
naqʿanbihifa-atharna
Then raisetherebydust
100:4
فَوَسَطْنَبِهِۦجَمْعًا
jamʿanbihifawasaṭna
Then penetrate (in the) centertherebycollectively
100:5
إِنَّٱلْإِنسَـٰنَلِرَبِّهِۦلَكَنُودٌۭ
lakanūdunlirabbihil-insānainna
Indeedmankindto his Lord(is) surely ungrateful
100:6
وَإِنَّهُۥعَلَىٰذَٰلِكَلَشَهِيدٌۭ
lashahīdundhālikaʿalāwa-innahu
And indeed, heonthatsurely (is) a witness
100:7
وَإِنَّهُۥلِحُبِّٱلْخَيْرِلَشَدِيدٌ
lashadīdunl-khayriliḥubbiwa-innahu
And indeed hein (the) love(of) wealth(is) surely intense
100:8
۞ أَفَلَايَعْلَمُإِذَابُعْثِرَمَافِىٱلْقُبُورِ
l-qubūribuʿ'thiraidhāyaʿlamuafalā
But does nothe knowwhenwill be scatteredwhat(is) inthe graves
100:9
وَحُصِّلَمَافِىٱلصُّدُورِ
l-ṣudūriwaḥuṣṣila
And is made apparentwhat(is) inthe breasts
100:10
إِنَّرَبَّهُمبِهِمْيَوْمَئِذٍۢلَّخَبِيرٌۢ
lakhabīrunyawma-idhinbihimrabbahuminna
Indeedtheir Lordabout themthat Day(is) surely All-Aware
100:11
Basmala
ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
al-qāriʿatu
The Striking Calamity
101:1
مَاٱلْقَارِعَةُ
l-qāriʿatu
What(is) the Striking Calamity
101:2
وَمَآأَدْرَىٰكَمَاٱلْقَارِعَةُ
l-qāriʿatuadrākawamā
And whatwill make you knowwhat(is) the Striking Calamity
101:3
يَوْمَيَكُونُٱلنَّاسُكَٱلْفَرَاشِٱلْمَبْثُوثِ
l-mabthūthikal-farāshil-nāsuyakūnuyawma
(The) Daywill bethe mankindlike mothsscattered
101:4
وَتَكُونُٱلْجِبَالُكَٱلْعِهْنِٱلْمَنفُوشِ
l-manfūshikal-ʿih'nil-jibāluwatakūnu
And will bethe mountainslike woolfluffed up
101:5
فَأَمَّامَنثَقُلَتْمَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
mawāzīnuhuthaqulatmanfa-ammā
Then as for(him) whose(are) heavyhis scales
101:6
فَهُوَفِىعِيشَةٍۢرَّاضِيَةٍۢ
rāḍiyatinʿīshatinfahuwa
Then he(will be) ina lifepleasant
101:7
وَأَمَّامَنْخَفَّتْمَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
mawāzīnuhukhaffatmanwa-ammā
But as for(him) whose(are) lighthis scales
101:8
فَأُمُّهُۥهَاوِيَةٌۭ
hāwiyatunfa-ummuhu
His abode(will be the) Pit
101:9
وَمَآأَدْرَىٰكَمَاهِيَهْ
hiyahadrākawamā
And whatwill make you knowwhatit is
101:10
نَارٌحَامِيَةٌۢ
ḥāmiyatunnārun
A Fireintensely hot
101:11
Basmala
أَلْهَىٰكُمُٱلتَّكَاثُرُ
l-takāthurualhākumu
Diverts youthe competition to increase
102:1
حَتَّىٰزُرْتُمُٱلْمَقَابِرَ
l-maqābirazur'tumuḥattā
Untilyou visitthe graves
102:2
كَلَّاسَوْفَتَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūnasawfakallā
NaySoonyou will know
102:3
ثُمَّكَلَّاسَوْفَتَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūnasawfakallāthumma
ThennaySoonyou will know
102:4
كَلَّالَوْتَعْلَمُونَعِلْمَٱلْيَقِينِ
l-yaqīniʿil'mataʿlamūnalawkallā
NayIfyou know(with) a knowledge(of) certainty
102:5
لَتَرَوُنَّٱلْجَحِيمَ
l-jaḥīmalatarawunna
Surely you will seethe Hellfire
102:6
ثُمَّلَتَرَوُنَّهَاعَيْنَٱلْيَقِينِ
l-yaqīniʿaynalatarawunnahāthumma
Thensurely you will see it(with the) eye(of) certainty
102:7
ثُمَّلَتُسْـَٔلُنَّيَوْمَئِذٍعَنِٱلنَّعِيمِ
l-naʿīmiʿaniyawma-idhinlatus'alunnathumma
Thensurely you will be askedthat Dayaboutthe pleasures
102:8

وَٱلْعَصْرِ
wal-ʿaṣri
By the time
103:1
إِنَّٱلْإِنسَـٰنَلَفِىخُسْرٍ
khus'rinlafīl-insānainna
Indeedmankind(is) surely, inloss
103:2
إِلَّاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَعَمِلُوا۟ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِوَتَوَاصَوْا۟بِٱلْحَقِّوَتَوَاصَوْا۟بِٱلصَّبْرِ
bil-ṣabriwatawāṣawbil-ḥaqiwatawāṣawl-ṣāliḥātiwaʿamilūāmanūalladhīnaillā
Exceptthose whobelieveand dorighteous deedsand enjoin (each other)to the truthand enjoin (each other)to [the] patience
103:3
Basmala
وَيْلٌۭلِّكُلِّهُمَزَةٍۢلُّمَزَةٍ
lumazatinhumazatinlikulliwaylun
Woeto everyslandererbackbiter
104:1
ٱلَّذِىجَمَعَمَالًۭاوَعَدَّدَهُۥ
waʿaddadahumālanjamaʿaalladhī
The one whocollectswealthand counts it
104:2
يَحْسَبُأَنَّمَالَهُۥٓأَخْلَدَهُۥ
akhladahumālahuannayaḥsabu
Thinkingthathis wealthwill make him immortal
104:3
كَلَّا ۖلَيُنۢبَذَنَّفِىٱلْحُطَمَةِ
l-ḥuṭamatilayunbadhannakallā
NaySurely he will be throwninthe Crusher
104:4
وَمَآأَدْرَىٰكَمَاٱلْحُطَمَةُ
l-ḥuṭamatuadrākawamā
And whatwill make you knowwhatthe Crusher (is)
104:5
نَارُٱللَّهِٱلْمُوقَدَةُ
l-mūqadatul-lahināru
A FireAllahkindled
104:6
ٱلَّتِىتَطَّلِعُعَلَىٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةِ
l-afidatiʿalātaṭṭaliʿuallatī
Whichmounts uptothe hearts
104:7
إِنَّهَاعَلَيْهِممُّؤْصَدَةٌۭ
mu'ṣadatunʿalayhiminnahā
Indeed, it(will be) upon themclosed over
104:8
فِىعَمَدٍۢمُّمَدَّدَةٍۭ
mumaddadatinʿamadin
Incolumnsextended
104:9
Basmala
أَلَمْتَرَكَيْفَفَعَلَرَبُّكَبِأَصْحَـٰبِٱلْفِيلِ
l-fīlibi-aṣḥābirabbukafaʿalakayfataraalam
Have notyou seenhowdealtyour Lordwith (the) Companions(of the) Elephant
105:1
أَلَمْيَجْعَلْكَيْدَهُمْفِىتَضْلِيلٍۢ
taḍlīlinkaydahumyajʿalalam
Did notHe maketheir plangoastray
105:2
وَأَرْسَلَعَلَيْهِمْطَيْرًاأَبَابِيلَ
abābīlaṭayranʿalayhimwa-arsala
And He sentagainst thembirds(in) flocks
105:3
تَرْمِيهِمبِحِجَارَةٍۢمِّنسِجِّيلٍۢ
sijjīlinminbiḥijāratintarmīhim
Striking themwith stonesofbaked clay
105:4
فَجَعَلَهُمْكَعَصْفٍۢمَّأْكُولٍۭ
makūlinkaʿaṣfinfajaʿalahum
Then He made themlike straweaten up
105:5
Basmala
لِإِيلَـٰفِقُرَيْشٍ
qurayshinliīlāfi
For (the) familiarity(of the) Quraish
106:1
إِۦلَـٰفِهِمْرِحْلَةَٱلشِّتَآءِوَٱلصَّيْفِ
wal-ṣayfil-shitāiriḥ'lataīlāfihim
Their familiarity(with the) journey(of) winterand summer
106:2
فَلْيَعْبُدُوا۟رَبَّهَـٰذَاٱلْبَيْتِ
l-baytihādhārabbafalyaʿbudū
So let them worship(the) Lord(of) thisHouse
106:3
ٱلَّذِىٓأَطْعَمَهُممِّنجُوعٍۢوَءَامَنَهُممِّنْخَوْفٍۭ
khawfinminwaāmanahumjūʿinminaṭʿamahumalladhī
The One Whofeeds them[from](against) hungerand gives them securityfromfear
106:4
Basmala
أَرَءَيْتَٱلَّذِىيُكَذِّبُبِٱلدِّينِ
bil-dīniyukadhibualladhīara-ayta
Have you seenthe one whodeniesthe Judgment
107:1
فَذَٰلِكَٱلَّذِىيَدُعُّٱلْيَتِيمَ
l-yatīmayaduʿʿualladhīfadhālika
Then that(is) the one whorepulsesthe orphan
107:2
وَلَايَحُضُّعَلَىٰطَعَامِٱلْمِسْكِينِ
l-mis'kīniṭaʿāmiʿalāyaḥuḍḍuwalā
And (does) notfeel the urgetofeedthe poor
107:3
فَوَيْلٌۭلِّلْمُصَلِّينَ
lil'muṣallīnafawaylun
So woeto those who pray
107:4
ٱلَّذِينَهُمْعَنصَلَاتِهِمْسَاهُونَ
sāhūnaṣalātihimʿanhumalladhīna
Those who[they]abouttheir prayers(are) neglectful
107:5
ٱلَّذِينَهُمْيُرَآءُونَ
yurāūnahumalladhīna
Those who[they]make show
107:6
وَيَمْنَعُونَٱلْمَاعُونَ
l-māʿūnawayamnaʿūna
And they deny[the] small kindnesses
107:7
Basmala
إِنَّآأَعْطَيْنَـٰكَٱلْكَوْثَرَ
l-kawtharaaʿṭaynākainnā
Indeed, WeWe have given youAl-Kauthar
108:1
فَصَلِّلِرَبِّكَوَٱنْحَرْ
wa-in'ḥarlirabbikafaṣalli
So prayto your Lordand sacrifice
108:2
إِنَّشَانِئَكَهُوَٱلْأَبْتَرُ
l-abtaruhuwashāni-akainna
Indeedyour enemy he (is)the one cut off
108:3
Basmala
قُلْيَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ
l-kāfirūnayāayyuhāqul
SayOdisbelievers
109:1
لَآأَعْبُدُمَاتَعْبُدُونَ
taʿbudūnaaʿbudu
NotI worshipwhatyou worship
109:2
وَلَآأَنتُمْعَـٰبِدُونَمَآأَعْبُدُ
aʿbuduʿābidūnaantumwalā
And notyou(are) worshippers(of) whatI worship
109:3
وَلَآأَنَا۠عَابِدٌۭمَّاعَبَدتُّمْ
ʿabadttumʿābidunanāwalā
And notI ama worshipper(of) whatyou worship
109:4
وَلَآأَنتُمْعَـٰبِدُونَمَآأَعْبُدُ
aʿbuduʿābidūnaantumwalā
And notyou(are) worshippers(of) whatI worship
109:5
لَكُمْدِينُكُمْوَلِىَدِينِ
dīniwaliyadīnukumlakum
For you(is) your religionand for me(is) my religion
109:6
Basmala
إِذَاجَآءَنَصْرُٱللَّهِوَٱلْفَتْحُ
wal-fatḥul-lahinaṣrujāaidhā
Whencomes(the) Help(of) Allahand the Victory
110:1
وَرَأَيْتَٱلنَّاسَيَدْخُلُونَفِىدِينِٱللَّهِأَفْوَاجًۭا
afwājanl-lahidīniyadkhulūnal-nāsawara-ayta
And you seethe peopleenteringinto(the) religion(of) Allah(in) multitudes
110:2
فَسَبِّحْبِحَمْدِرَبِّكَوَٱسْتَغْفِرْهُ ۚإِنَّهُۥكَانَتَوَّابًۢا
tawwābankānainnahuwa-is'taghfir'hurabbikabiḥamdifasabbiḥ
Then glorifywith (the) praises(of) your Lordand ask His forgivenessIndeed, HeisOft-Returning
110:3
Basmala
تَبَّتْيَدَآأَبِىلَهَبٍۢوَتَبَّ
watabbalahabinabīyadātabbat
Perish(the) hands(of) AbuLahaband perish he
111:1
مَآأَغْنَىٰعَنْهُمَالُهُۥوَمَاكَسَبَ
kasabawamāmāluhuʿanhuaghnā
Not(will) availhimhis wealthand whathe earned
111:2
سَيَصْلَىٰنَارًۭاذَاتَلَهَبٍۢ
lahabindhātanāransayaṣlā
He will be burnt(in) a FireofBlazing Flames
111:3
وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥحَمَّالَةَٱلْحَطَبِ
l-ḥaṭabiḥammālatawa-im'ra-atuhu
And his wife(the) carrier(of) firewood
111:4
فِىجِيدِهَاحَبْلٌۭمِّنمَّسَدٍۭ
masadinminḥablunjīdihā
Inher neck(will be) a ropeofpalm-fiber
111:5
Basmala
قُلْهُوَٱللَّهُأَحَدٌ
aḥadunl-lahuhuwaqul
SayHe(is) Allahthe One
112:1
ٱللَّهُٱلصَّمَدُ
l-ṣamadual-lahu
Allahthe Eternal, the Absolute
112:2
لَمْيَلِدْوَلَمْيُولَدْ
yūladwalamyalidlam
NotHe begetsand notHe is begotten
112:3
وَلَمْيَكُنلَّهُۥكُفُوًاأَحَدٌۢ
aḥadunkufuwanlahuyakunwalam
And notisfor Himequivalentany [one]
112:4
Basmala
قُلْأَعُوذُبِرَبِّٱلْفَلَقِ
l-falaqibirabbiaʿūdhuqul
SayI seek refugein (the) Lord(of) the dawn
113:1
مِنشَرِّمَاخَلَقَ
khalaqasharrimin
From(the) evil(of) whatHe created
113:2
وَمِنشَرِّغَاسِقٍإِذَاوَقَبَ
waqabaidhāghāsiqinsharriwamin
And from(the) evil(of) darknesswhenit spreads
113:3
وَمِنشَرِّٱلنَّفَّـٰثَـٰتِفِىٱلْعُقَدِ
l-ʿuqadil-nafāthātisharriwamin
And from(the) evil(of) the blowersinthe knots
113:4
وَمِنشَرِّحَاسِدٍإِذَاحَسَدَ
ḥasadaidhāḥāsidinsharriwamin
And from(the) evil(of) an envierwhenhe envies
113:5
Basmala
قُلْأَعُوذُبِرَبِّٱلنَّاسِ
l-nāsibirabbiaʿūdhuqul
SayI seek refugein (the) Lord(of) mankind
114:1
مَلِكِٱلنَّاسِ
l-nāsimaliki
(The) King(of) mankind
114:2
إِلَـٰهِٱلنَّاسِ
l-nāsiilāhi
(The) God(of) mankind
114:3
مِنشَرِّٱلْوَسْوَاسِٱلْخَنَّاسِ
l-khanāsil-waswāsisharrimin
From(the) evil(of) the whispererthe one who withdraws
114:4
ٱلَّذِىيُوَسْوِسُفِىصُدُورِٱلنَّاسِ
l-nāsiṣudūriyuwaswisualladhī
The one whowhispersin(the) breasts(of) mankind
114:5
مِنَٱلْجِنَّةِوَٱلنَّاسِ
wal-nāsil-jinatimina
Fromthe jinnand men
114:6
