Basmala
۞ وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟أَنَّمَاغَنِمْتُممِّنشَىْءٍۢفَأَنَّلِلَّهِخُمُسَهُۥوَلِلرَّسُولِوَلِذِىٱلْقُرْبَىٰوَٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰوَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينِوَٱبْنِٱلسَّبِيلِإِنكُنتُمْءَامَنتُمبِٱللَّهِوَمَآأَنزَلْنَاعَلَىٰعَبْدِنَايَوْمَٱلْفُرْقَانِيَوْمَٱلْتَقَىٱلْجَمْعَانِ ۗوَٱللَّهُعَلَىٰكُلِّشَىْءٍۢقَدِيرٌ
qadīrunshayinkulliʿalāwal-lahul-jamʿānil-taqāyawmal-fur'qāniyawmaʿabdināʿalāanzalnāwamābil-lahiāmantumkuntuminl-sabīliwa-ib'niwal-masākīniwal-yatāmāl-qur'bāwalidhīwalilrrasūlikhumusahulillahifa-annashayinminghanim'tumannamāwa-iʿ'lamū
And knowthat whatyou obtain (as) spoils of warofanythingthen thatfor Allah(is) one fifth of itand for the Messengerand for thenear relativesand the orphansand the needyand thewayfarerifyoubelievein Allahand (in) whatWe sent downtoOur slave(on the) day(of) the criterion(the) day(when) metthe two forcesAnd Allah(is) oneverythingAll-Powerful
8:41
إِذْأَنتُمبِٱلْعُدْوَةِٱلدُّنْيَاوَهُمبِٱلْعُدْوَةِٱلْقُصْوَىٰوَٱلرَّكْبُأَسْفَلَمِنكُمْ ۚوَلَوْتَوَاعَدتُّمْلَٱخْتَلَفْتُمْفِىٱلْمِيعَـٰدِ ۙوَلَـٰكِنلِّيَقْضِىَٱللَّهُأَمْرًۭاكَانَمَفْعُولًۭالِّيَهْلِكَمَنْهَلَكَعَنۢبَيِّنَةٍۢوَيَحْيَىٰمَنْحَىَّعَنۢبَيِّنَةٍۢ ۗوَإِنَّٱللَّهَلَسَمِيعٌعَلِيمٌ
ʿalīmunlasamīʿunl-lahawa-innabayyinatinʿanḥayyamanwayaḥyābayyinatinʿanhalakamanliyahlikamafʿūlankānaamranl-lahuliyaqḍiyawalākinl-mīʿādifīla-ikh'talaftumtawāʿadttumwalawminkumasfalawal-rakbul-quṣ'wābil-ʿud'watiwahuml-dun'yābil-ʿud'watiantumidh
Whenyou (were)on side of the valleythe nearerand they(were) on the sidethe fartherand the caravan(was) lowerthan youAnd ifyou (had) made an appointmentcertainly you would have failedinthe appointmentButthat might accomplishAllaha matter(that) wasdestinedthat (might be) destroyed(those) who(were to be) destroyedona clear evidenceand (might) live(those) who(were to) liveona clear evidenceAnd indeedAllah(is) All-HearingAll-Knowing
8:42
إِذْيُرِيكَهُمُٱللَّهُفِىمَنَامِكَقَلِيلًۭا ۖوَلَوْأَرَىٰكَهُمْكَثِيرًۭالَّفَشِلْتُمْوَلَتَنَـٰزَعْتُمْفِىٱلْأَمْرِوَلَـٰكِنَّٱللَّهَسَلَّمَ ۗإِنَّهُۥعَلِيمٌۢبِذَاتِٱلصُّدُورِ
l-ṣudūribidhātiʿalīmuninnahusallamal-lahawalākinnal-amrifīwalatanāzaʿtumlafashil'tumkathīranarākahumwalawqalīlanmanāmikafīl-lahuyurīkahumuidh
Whenyou (where) shown them(by) Allahinyour dream(as) fewand ifHe had shown them to you(as) manysurely you would have lost courageand surely you would have disputedinthe matterbutAllahsaved (you)Indeed, He(is) All-Knowerof what is inthe breasts
8:43
وَإِذْيُرِيكُمُوهُمْإِذِٱلْتَقَيْتُمْفِىٓأَعْيُنِكُمْقَلِيلًۭاوَيُقَلِّلُكُمْفِىٓأَعْيُنِهِمْلِيَقْضِىَٱللَّهُأَمْرًۭاكَانَمَفْعُولًۭا ۗوَإِلَىٱللَّهِتُرْجَعُٱلْأُمُورُ
l-umūrutur'jaʿul-lahiwa-ilāmafʿūlankānaamranl-lahuliyaqḍiyaaʿyunihimfīwayuqallilukumqalīlanaʿyunikumfīl-taqaytumidhiyurīkumūhumwa-idh
And whenHe showed them to youwhenyou met inyour eyes(as) fewand He made you (appear) as fewintheir eyesthat might accomplishAllah might accomplisha matter(that) was(already) destinedAnd toAllahreturn(all) the matters
8:44
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوٓا۟إِذَالَقِيتُمْفِئَةًۭفَٱثْبُتُوا۟وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ٱللَّهَكَثِيرًۭالَّعَلَّكُمْتُفْلِحُونَ
tuf'liḥūnalaʿallakumkathīranl-lahawa-udh'kurūfa-uth'butūfi-atanlaqītumidhāāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieveWhenyou meeta forcethen be firmand rememberAllahmuchso that you may(be) successful
8:45
وَأَطِيعُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَرَسُولَهُۥوَلَاتَنَـٰزَعُوا۟فَتَفْشَلُوا۟وَتَذْهَبَرِيحُكُمْ ۖوَٱصْبِرُوٓا۟ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَمَعَٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ
l-ṣābirīnamaʿal-lahainnawa-iṣ'birūrīḥukumwatadhhabafatafshalūtanāzaʿūwalāwarasūlahul-lahawa-aṭīʿū
And obeyAllahand His Messengerand (do) notdisputelest you lose courageand (would) departyour strengthand be patientIndeedAllah(is) withthe patient ones
8:46
وَلَاتَكُونُوا۟كَٱلَّذِينَخَرَجُوا۟مِندِيَـٰرِهِمبَطَرًۭاوَرِئَآءَٱلنَّاسِوَيَصُدُّونَعَنسَبِيلِٱللَّهِ ۚوَٱللَّهُبِمَايَعْمَلُونَمُحِيطٌۭ
muḥīṭunyaʿmalūnabimāwal-lahul-lahisabīliʿanwayaṣuddūnal-nāsiwariāabaṭarandiyārihimminkharajūka-alladhīnatakūnūwalā
And (do) notbelike those whocame forthfromtheir homesboastfullyand showing off(to) the peopleand hinder (them)from(the) way(of) AllahAnd Allahof whatthey do(is) All-Encompassing
8:47
وَإِذْزَيَّنَلَهُمُٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُأَعْمَـٰلَهُمْوَقَالَلَاغَالِبَلَكُمُٱلْيَوْمَمِنَٱلنَّاسِوَإِنِّىجَارٌۭلَّكُمْ ۖفَلَمَّاتَرَآءَتِٱلْفِئَتَانِنَكَصَعَلَىٰعَقِبَيْهِوَقَالَإِنِّىبَرِىٓءٌۭمِّنكُمْإِنِّىٓأَرَىٰمَالَاتَرَوْنَإِنِّىٓأَخَافُٱللَّهَ ۚوَٱللَّهُشَدِيدُٱلْعِقَابِ
l-ʿiqābishadīduwal-lahul-lahaakhāfuinnītarawnalāmāarāinnīminkumbarīoninnīwaqālaʿaqibayhiʿalānakaṣal-fi-atānitarāatifalammālakumjārunwa-innīl-nāsiminal-yawmalakumughālibalāwaqālaaʿmālahuml-shayṭānulahumuzayyanawa-idh
And whenmade fair-seemingto themthe Shaitaantheir deedsand he saidNo (one)(can) overcome[to] youtodayfromthe peopleand indeed, I ama neighborfor youBut whencame in sightthe two forceshe turned awayonhis heelsand saidIndeed, I amfreeof youIndeed, Iseewhatnotyou seeindeed, I[I] fearAllahAnd Allah(is) severe(in) the penalty
8:48
إِذْيَقُولُٱلْمُنَـٰفِقُونَوَٱلَّذِينَفِىقُلُوبِهِممَّرَضٌغَرَّهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِدِينُهُمْ ۗوَمَنيَتَوَكَّلْعَلَىٱللَّهِفَإِنَّٱللَّهَعَزِيزٌحَكِيمٌۭ
ḥakīmunʿazīzunl-lahafa-innal-lahiʿalāyatawakkalwamandīnuhumhāulāigharramaraḍunqulūbihimfīwa-alladhīnal-munāfiqūnayaqūluidh
Whensaidthe hypocritesand those who intheir hearts(was) a disease(Had) deludedthese (people)their religionBut whoeverputs (his) trustinAllahthen indeedAllah(is) All-MightyAll-Wise
8:49
وَلَوْتَرَىٰٓإِذْيَتَوَفَّىٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟ ۙٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُيَضْرِبُونَوُجُوهَهُمْوَأَدْبَـٰرَهُمْوَذُوقُوا۟عَذَابَٱلْحَرِيقِ
l-ḥarīqiʿadhābawadhūqūwa-adbārahumwujūhahumyaḍribūnal-malāikatukafarūalladhīnayatawaffāidhtarāwalaw
And ifyou (could) seewhentake away souls(of) those whodisbelievethe Angelsstrikingtheir facesand their backsTaste(the) punishment(of) the Blazing Fire
8:50
ذَٰلِكَبِمَاقَدَّمَتْأَيْدِيكُمْوَأَنَّٱللَّهَلَيْسَبِظَلَّـٰمٍۢلِّلْعَبِيدِ
lil'ʿabīdibiẓallāminlaysal-lahawa-annaaydīkumqaddamatbimādhālika
That(is) for whatsent forthyour handsAnd indeedAllah(is) notunjustto His slaves
8:51
كَدَأْبِءَالِفِرْعَوْنَ ۙوَٱلَّذِينَمِنقَبْلِهِمْ ۚكَفَرُوا۟بِـَٔايَـٰتِٱللَّهِفَأَخَذَهُمُٱللَّهُبِذُنُوبِهِمْ ۗإِنَّٱللَّهَقَوِىٌّۭشَدِيدُٱلْعِقَابِ
l-ʿiqābishadīduqawiyyunl-lahainnabidhunūbihiml-lahufa-akhadhahumul-lahibiāyātikafarūqablihimminwa-alladhīnafir'ʿawnaālikadabi
Like (the) way(of) people(of) Firaunand those who(were) frombefore themThey disbelievedin (the) Signs(of) Allahso seized themAllahfor their sinsIndeedAllah(is) All-Strong(and) severe(in) the penalty
8:52
ذَٰلِكَبِأَنَّٱللَّهَلَمْيَكُمُغَيِّرًۭانِّعْمَةًأَنْعَمَهَاعَلَىٰقَوْمٍحَتَّىٰيُغَيِّرُوا۟مَابِأَنفُسِهِمْ ۙوَأَنَّٱللَّهَسَمِيعٌعَلِيمٌۭ
ʿalīmunsamīʿunl-lahawa-annabi-anfusihimmāyughayyirūḥattāqawminʿalāanʿamahāniʿ'matanmughayyiranyakulaml-lahabi-annadhālika
That(is) becauseAllahnotisOne Who changesa favorwhich He had bestowedona peopleuntilthey changewhat(is) in themselvesAnd indeedAllah(is) All-HearingAll-Knowing
8:53
كَدَأْبِءَالِفِرْعَوْنَ ۙوَٱلَّذِينَمِنقَبْلِهِمْ ۚكَذَّبُوا۟بِـَٔايَـٰتِرَبِّهِمْفَأَهْلَكْنَـٰهُمبِذُنُوبِهِمْوَأَغْرَقْنَآءَالَفِرْعَوْنَ ۚوَكُلٌّۭكَانُوا۟ظَـٰلِمِينَ
ẓālimīnakānūwakullunfir'ʿawnaālawa-aghraqnābidhunūbihimfa-ahlaknāhumrabbihimbiāyātikadhabūqablihimminwa-alladhīnafir'ʿawnaālikadabi
Like (the) way(of) people(of) Firaunand those who(were) frombefore themThey denied(the) Signs(of) their Lordso We destroyed themfor their sinsand We drowned(the) people(of) Firaunand (they) allwerewrongdoers
8:54
إِنَّشَرَّٱلدَّوَآبِّعِندَٱللَّهِٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟فَهُمْلَايُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūnalāfahumkafarūalladhīnal-lahiʿindal-dawābisharrainna
Indeed(the) worst(of) the living creaturesnearAllah(are) those whodisbelieveand they(will) notbelieve
8:55
ٱلَّذِينَعَـٰهَدتَّمِنْهُمْثُمَّيَنقُضُونَعَهْدَهُمْفِىكُلِّمَرَّةٍۢوَهُمْلَايَتَّقُونَ
yattaqūnalāwahummarratinkullifīʿahdahumyanquḍūnathummamin'humʿāhadttaalladhīna
Those who you made a covenantwith themthenthey breaktheir covenant[in]everytimeand they(do) notfear (Allah)
8:56
فَإِمَّاتَثْقَفَنَّهُمْفِىٱلْحَرْبِفَشَرِّدْبِهِممَّنْخَلْفَهُمْلَعَلَّهُمْيَذَّكَّرُونَ
yadhakkarūnalaʿallahumkhalfahummanbihimfasharridl-ḥarbifītathqafannahumfa-immā
So ifyou gain dominance over theminthe wardisperseby them(those) who(are) behind themso that they maytake heed
8:57
وَإِمَّاتَخَافَنَّمِنقَوْمٍخِيَانَةًۭفَٱنۢبِذْإِلَيْهِمْعَلَىٰسَوَآءٍ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَلَايُحِبُّٱلْخَآئِنِينَ
l-khāinīnayuḥibbulāl-lahainnasawāinʿalāilayhimfa-inbidhkhiyānatanqawminmintakhāfannawa-immā
And ifyou fearfroma peoplebetrayalthrow backto themonequal (terms)IndeedAllah(does) notlovethe traitors
8:58
وَلَايَحْسَبَنَّٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟سَبَقُوٓا۟ ۚإِنَّهُمْلَايُعْجِزُونَ
yuʿ'jizūnalāinnahumsabaqūkafarūalladhīnayaḥsabannawalā
And (let) notthinkthose whodisbelievethey can outstripIndeed, they(can) notescape
8:59
وَأَعِدُّوا۟لَهُممَّاٱسْتَطَعْتُممِّنقُوَّةٍۢوَمِنرِّبَاطِٱلْخَيْلِتُرْهِبُونَبِهِۦعَدُوَّٱللَّهِوَعَدُوَّكُمْوَءَاخَرِينَمِندُونِهِمْلَاتَعْلَمُونَهُمُٱللَّهُيَعْلَمُهُمْ ۚوَمَاتُنفِقُوا۟مِنشَىْءٍۢفِىسَبِيلِٱللَّهِيُوَفَّإِلَيْكُمْوَأَنتُمْلَاتُظْلَمُونَ
tuẓ'lamūnalāwa-antumilaykumyuwaffal-lahisabīlifīshayinmintunfiqūwamāyaʿlamuhuml-lahutaʿlamūnahumulādūnihimminwaākharīnawaʿaduwwakuml-lahiʿaduwwabihitur'hibūnal-khayliribāṭiwaminquwwatinminis'taṭaʿtummālahumwa-aʿiddū
And preparefor themwhateveryou able (to)offorceand oftetheredhorses(to) terrifytherewith(the) enemy(of) Allahand your enemyand othersfrombesides themnot(do) you know them(but) Allahknows themAnd whateveryou spendfrom(any) thingin(the) way(of) Allahit will be fully repaidto youand you(will) notbe wronged
8:60
۞ وَإِنجَنَحُوا۟لِلسَّلْمِفَٱجْنَحْلَهَاوَتَوَكَّلْعَلَىٱللَّهِ ۚإِنَّهُۥهُوَٱلسَّمِيعُٱلْعَلِيمُ
l-ʿalīmul-samīʿuhuwainnahul-lahiʿalāwatawakkallahāfa-ij'naḥlilssalmijanaḥūwa-in
And ifthey inclineto peacethen you (also) inclineto itand put (your) trustinAllahIndeedHe(is) All-HearerAll-Knower
8:61
وَإِنيُرِيدُوٓا۟أَنيَخْدَعُوكَفَإِنَّحَسْبَكَٱللَّهُ ۚهُوَٱلَّذِىٓأَيَّدَكَبِنَصْرِهِۦوَبِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
wabil-mu'minīnabinaṣrihiayyadakaalladhīhuwal-lahuḥasbakafa-innayakhdaʿūkaanyurīdūwa-in
But ifthey intendtodeceive youthen indeedis sufficient for youAllahHe(is) the One Whosupported youwith His helpand with the believers
8:62
وَأَلَّفَبَيْنَقُلُوبِهِمْ ۚلَوْأَنفَقْتَمَافِىٱلْأَرْضِجَمِيعًۭامَّآأَلَّفْتَبَيْنَقُلُوبِهِمْوَلَـٰكِنَّٱللَّهَأَلَّفَبَيْنَهُمْ ۚإِنَّهُۥعَزِيزٌحَكِيمٌۭ
ḥakīmunʿazīzuninnahubaynahumallafal-lahawalākinnaqulūbihimbaynaallaftamājamīʿanl-arḍifīmāanfaqtalawqulūbihimbaynawa-allafa
And He (has) put affectionbetweentheir heartsIfyou (had) spentwhatever(is) inthe earthallnot(could) you (have) put affectionbetweentheir heartsbutAllah(has) put affectionbetween themIndeed, He(is) All-MightyAll-Wise
8:63
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلنَّبِىُّحَسْبُكَٱللَّهُوَمَنِٱتَّبَعَكَمِنَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnaminaittabaʿakawamanil-lahuḥasbukal-nabiyuyāayyuhā
OProphetSufficient for you(is) Allahand whoeverfollows youofthe believers
8:64
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلنَّبِىُّحَرِّضِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَعَلَىٱلْقِتَالِ ۚإِنيَكُنمِّنكُمْعِشْرُونَصَـٰبِرُونَيَغْلِبُوا۟مِا۟ئَتَيْنِ ۚوَإِنيَكُنمِّنكُممِّا۟ئَةٌۭيَغْلِبُوٓا۟أَلْفًۭامِّنَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟بِأَنَّهُمْقَوْمٌۭلَّايَفْقَهُونَ
yafqahūnalāqawmunbi-annahumkafarūalladhīnaminaalfanyaghlibūmi-atunminkumyakunwa-inmi-atayniyaghlibūṣābirūnaʿish'rūnaminkumyakuninl-qitāliʿalāl-mu'minīnaḥarriḍil-nabiyuyāayyuhā
OProphetUrgethe believersto[the] fightIf(there) areamong youtwentysteadfastthey will overcometwo hundredAnd if(there) areamong youa hundredthey will overcomea thousandofthose whodisbelievebecause they(are) a people(who do) notunderstand
8:65
ٱلْـَٔـٰنَخَفَّفَٱللَّهُعَنكُمْوَعَلِمَأَنَّفِيكُمْضَعْفًۭا ۚفَإِنيَكُنمِّنكُممِّا۟ئَةٌۭصَابِرَةٌۭيَغْلِبُوا۟مِا۟ئَتَيْنِ ۚوَإِنيَكُنمِّنكُمْأَلْفٌۭيَغْلِبُوٓا۟أَلْفَيْنِبِإِذْنِٱللَّهِ ۗوَٱللَّهُمَعَٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ
l-ṣābirīnamaʿawal-lahul-lahibi-idh'nialfayniyaghlibūalfunminkumyakunwa-inmi-atayniyaghlibūṣābiratunmi-atunminkumyakunfa-inḍaʿfanfīkumannawaʿalimaʿankuml-lahukhaffafaal-āna
Nowhas (been) lightened(by) Allahfor youand He knowsthatin you(there) is weaknessSo if(there) areamong youa hundredsteadfastthey will overcometwo hundredAnd if(there) areamong youa thousandthey will overcometwo thousandwith (the) permission(of) AllahAnd Allah(is) withthe steadfast
8:66
مَاكَانَلِنَبِىٍّأَنيَكُونَلَهُۥٓأَسْرَىٰحَتَّىٰيُثْخِنَفِىٱلْأَرْضِ ۚتُرِيدُونَعَرَضَٱلدُّنْيَاوَٱللَّهُيُرِيدُٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ ۗوَٱللَّهُعَزِيزٌحَكِيمٌۭ
ḥakīmunʿazīzunwal-lahul-ākhiratayurīduwal-lahul-dun'yāʿaraḍaturīdūnal-arḍifīyuth'khinaḥattāasrālahuyakūnaanlinabiyyinkānamā
Notisfor a Prophetthat(there) should befor himprisoners of waruntilhe has battled strenuouslyinthe landYou desire(the) commodities(of) the worldbut Allahdesires(for you) the HereafterAnd Allah(is) All-MightyAll-Wise
8:67
لَّوْلَاكِتَـٰبٌۭمِّنَٱللَّهِسَبَقَلَمَسَّكُمْفِيمَآأَخَذْتُمْعَذَابٌعَظِيمٌۭ
ʿaẓīmunʿadhābunakhadhtumfīmālamassakumsabaqal-lahiminakitābunlawlā
Had notan ordainmentfromAllahprecededsurely (would) have touched youfor whatyou took a punishmentgreat
8:68
فَكُلُوا۟مِمَّاغَنِمْتُمْحَلَـٰلًۭاطَيِّبًۭا ۚوَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunghafūrunl-lahainnal-lahawa-ittaqūṭayyibanḥalālanghanim'tummimmāfakulū
So eatfrom whatyou got as war booty lawful(and) goodand fearAllahIndeedAllah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
8:69
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلنَّبِىُّقُللِّمَنفِىٓأَيْدِيكُممِّنَٱلْأَسْرَىٰٓإِنيَعْلَمِٱللَّهُفِىقُلُوبِكُمْخَيْرًۭايُؤْتِكُمْخَيْرًۭامِّمَّآأُخِذَمِنكُمْوَيَغْفِرْلَكُمْ ۗوَٱللَّهُغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunghafūrunwal-lahulakumwayaghfirminkumukhidhamimmākhayranyu'tikumkhayranqulūbikumfīl-lahuyaʿlamiinl-asrāminaaydīkumfīlimanqull-nabiyuyāayyuhā
OProphetSayto whoever(is) inyour handsofthe captivesIfknowsAllahinyour heartsany goodHe will give youbetterthan whatwas takenfrom youand He will forgiveyouAnd Allah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
8:70
وَإِنيُرِيدُوا۟خِيَانَتَكَفَقَدْخَانُوا۟ٱللَّهَمِنقَبْلُفَأَمْكَنَمِنْهُمْ ۗوَٱللَّهُعَلِيمٌحَكِيمٌ
ḥakīmunʿalīmunwal-lahumin'humfa-amkanaqabluminl-lahakhānūfaqadkhiyānatakayurīdūwa-in
But ifthey intend(to) betray youcertainlythey have betrayedAllahfrombeforeSo He gave (you) powerover themAnd Allah(is) All-KnowerAll-Wise
8:71
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَهَاجَرُوا۟وَجَـٰهَدُوا۟بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْوَأَنفُسِهِمْفِىسَبِيلِٱللَّهِوَٱلَّذِينَءَاوَوا۟وَّنَصَرُوٓا۟أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَبَعْضُهُمْأَوْلِيَآءُبَعْضٍۢ ۚوَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَلَمْيُهَاجِرُوا۟مَالَكُممِّنوَلَـٰيَتِهِممِّنشَىْءٍحَتَّىٰيُهَاجِرُوا۟ ۚوَإِنِٱسْتَنصَرُوكُمْفِىٱلدِّينِفَعَلَيْكُمُٱلنَّصْرُإِلَّاعَلَىٰقَوْمٍۭبَيْنَكُمْوَبَيْنَهُممِّيثَـٰقٌۭ ۗوَٱللَّهُبِمَاتَعْمَلُونَبَصِيرٌۭ
baṣīruntaʿmalūnabimāwal-lahumīthāqunwabaynahumbaynakumqawminʿalāillāl-naṣrufaʿalaykumul-dīnifīis'tanṣarūkumwa-iniyuhājirūḥattāshayinminwalāyatihimminlakummāyuhājirūwalamāmanūwa-alladhīnabaʿḍinawliyāubaʿḍuhumulāikawanaṣarūāwawwa-alladhīnal-lahisabīlifīwa-anfusihimbi-amwālihimwajāhadūwahājarūāmanūalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whobelievedand emigratedand strove hardwith their wealthand their livesin(the) way(of) Allahand those whogave shelterand helpedthose some of them(are) allies(of) anotherBut those whobelievedand (did) notemigrate(it is) notfor you(of)their protection(in)(in) anythinguntilthey emigrateAnd ifthey seek your helpinthe religionthen upon you(is to) help themexceptagainsta peoplebetween youand between them(is) a treatyAnd Allahof whatyou do(is) All-Seer
8:72
وَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟بَعْضُهُمْأَوْلِيَآءُبَعْضٍ ۚإِلَّاتَفْعَلُوهُتَكُنفِتْنَةٌۭفِىٱلْأَرْضِوَفَسَادٌۭكَبِيرٌۭ
kabīrunwafasādunl-arḍifīfit'natuntakuntafʿalūhuillābaʿḍinawliyāubaʿḍuhumkafarūwa-alladhīna
And those whodisbelievesome of them(are) allies(to) anotherIf notyou do it(there) will beoppressioninthe earthand corruptiongreat
8:73
وَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَهَاجَرُوا۟وَجَـٰهَدُوا۟فِىسَبِيلِٱللَّهِوَٱلَّذِينَءَاوَوا۟وَّنَصَرُوٓا۟أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَحَقًّۭا ۚلَّهُممَّغْفِرَةٌۭوَرِزْقٌۭكَرِيمٌۭ
karīmunwariz'qunmaghfiratunlahumḥaqqanl-mu'minūnahumuulāikawanaṣarūāwawwa-alladhīnal-lahisabīlifīwajāhadūwahājarūāmanūwa-alladhīna
And those whobelievedand emigratedand strove hardin(the) way(of) Allahand those whogave shelterand helpedthose they (are)the believers(in) truthFor them(is) forgivenessand a provisionnoble
8:74
وَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟مِنۢبَعْدُوَهَاجَرُوا۟وَجَـٰهَدُوا۟مَعَكُمْفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَمِنكُمْ ۚوَأُو۟لُوا۟ٱلْأَرْحَامِبَعْضُهُمْأَوْلَىٰبِبَعْضٍۢفِىكِتَـٰبِٱللَّهِ ۗإِنَّٱللَّهَبِكُلِّشَىْءٍعَلِيمٌۢ
ʿalīmunshayinbikullil-lahainnal-lahikitābifībibaʿḍinawlābaʿḍuhuml-arḥāmiwa-ulūminkumfa-ulāikamaʿakumwajāhadūwahājarūbaʿdumināmanūwa-alladhīna
And those whobelievedfromafterwardsand emigratedand strove hardwith youthen those(are) of youBut those(of) blood relationshipsome of them(are) nearerto anotherin(the) Book(of) AllahIndeedAllahof everything(is) All-Knower
8:75
Basmala
بَرَآءَةٌۭمِّنَٱللَّهِوَرَسُولِهِۦٓإِلَىٱلَّذِينَعَـٰهَدتُّممِّنَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
l-mush'rikīnaminaʿāhadttumalladhīnailāwarasūlihil-lahiminabarāatun
Freedom from obligationsfromAllahand His Messengertothose (with) whomyou made a covenantfromthe polytheists
9:1
فَسِيحُوا۟فِىٱلْأَرْضِأَرْبَعَةَأَشْهُرٍۢوَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟أَنَّكُمْغَيْرُمُعْجِزِىٱللَّهِ ۙوَأَنَّٱللَّهَمُخْزِىٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīnamukh'zīl-lahawa-annal-lahimuʿ'jizīghayruannakumwa-iʿ'lamūashhurinarbaʿatal-arḍifīfasīḥū
So move aboutinthe land(during) fourmonthsbut knowthat you(can) notescapeAllahand thatAllah(is) the One Who (will) disgracethe disbelievers
9:2
وَأَذَٰنٌۭمِّنَٱللَّهِوَرَسُولِهِۦٓإِلَىٱلنَّاسِيَوْمَٱلْحَجِّٱلْأَكْبَرِأَنَّٱللَّهَبَرِىٓءٌۭمِّنَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ۙوَرَسُولُهُۥ ۚفَإِنتُبْتُمْفَهُوَخَيْرٌۭلَّكُمْ ۖوَإِنتَوَلَّيْتُمْفَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟أَنَّكُمْغَيْرُمُعْجِزِىٱللَّهِ ۗوَبَشِّرِٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟بِعَذَابٍأَلِيمٍ
alīminbiʿadhābinkafarūalladhīnawabashiril-lahimuʿ'jizīghayruannakumfa-iʿ'lamūtawallaytumwa-inlakumkhayrunfahuwatub'tumfa-inwarasūluhul-mush'rikīnaminabarīonl-lahaannal-akbaril-ḥajiyawmal-nāsiilāwarasūlihil-lahiminawa-adhānun
And an announcementfrom Allahfrom Allahand His Messengertothe people(on the) day(of) the greater Pilgrimage(of) the greater PilgrimagethatAllah(is) free from obligations[of](to) the polytheistsand (so is) His MessengerSo ifyou repentthen, it isbestfor youBut ifyou turn awaythen knowthat you(can) notescapeAllahAnd give glad tidings(to) those whodisbelieveof a punishmentpainful
9:3
إِلَّاٱلَّذِينَعَـٰهَدتُّممِّنَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَثُمَّلَمْيَنقُصُوكُمْشَيْـًۭٔاوَلَمْيُظَـٰهِرُوا۟عَلَيْكُمْأَحَدًۭافَأَتِمُّوٓا۟إِلَيْهِمْعَهْدَهُمْإِلَىٰمُدَّتِهِمْ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَيُحِبُّٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
l-mutaqīnayuḥibbul-lahainnamuddatihimilāʿahdahumilayhimfa-atimmūaḥadanʿalaykumyuẓāhirūwalamshayanyanquṣūkumlamthummal-mush'rikīnaminaʿāhadttumalladhīnaillā
Exceptthose (with) whomyou have a covenantamongthe polytheiststhennotthey have failed you(in any) thingand notthey have supportedagainst youanyoneso fulfilto themtheir treatytilltheir termIndeedAllahlovesthe righteous
9:4
فَإِذَاٱنسَلَخَٱلْأَشْهُرُٱلْحُرُمُفَٱقْتُلُوا۟ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَحَيْثُوَجَدتُّمُوهُمْوَخُذُوهُمْوَٱحْصُرُوهُمْوَٱقْعُدُوا۟لَهُمْكُلَّمَرْصَدٍۢ ۚفَإِنتَابُوا۟وَأَقَامُوا۟ٱلصَّلَوٰةَوَءَاتَوُا۟ٱلزَّكَوٰةَفَخَلُّوا۟سَبِيلَهُمْ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunghafūrunl-lahainnasabīlahumfakhallūl-zakatawaātawūl-ṣalatawa-aqāmūtābūfa-inmarṣadinkullalahumwa-uq'ʿudūwa-uḥ'ṣurūhumwakhudhūhumwajadttumūhumḥaythul-mush'rikīnafa-uq'tulūl-ḥurumul-ashhuruinsalakhafa-idhā
Then whenhave passedthe sacred monthsthe sacred monthsthen killthe polytheistswhereveryou find themand seize themand besiege themand sit (in wait)for them(at) everyplace of ambushBut ifthey repentand establishthe prayerand givethe zakahthen leavetheir wayIndeedAllah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
9:5
وَإِنْأَحَدٌۭمِّنَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَٱسْتَجَارَكَفَأَجِرْهُحَتَّىٰيَسْمَعَكَلَـٰمَٱللَّهِثُمَّأَبْلِغْهُمَأْمَنَهُۥ ۚذَٰلِكَبِأَنَّهُمْقَوْمٌۭلَّايَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnalāqawmunbi-annahumdhālikamamanahuabligh'huthummal-lahikalāmayasmaʿaḥattāfa-ajir'huis'tajārakal-mush'rikīnaminaaḥadunwa-in
And ifanyoneofthe polytheistsseek your protectionthen grant him protectionuntilhe hears(the) Words of Allah(the) Words of AllahThenescort him(to) his place of safetyThat(is) because they(are) a people(who) do not know(who) do not know
9:6
كَيْفَيَكُونُلِلْمُشْرِكِينَعَهْدٌعِندَٱللَّهِوَعِندَرَسُولِهِۦٓإِلَّاٱلَّذِينَعَـٰهَدتُّمْعِندَٱلْمَسْجِدِٱلْحَرَامِ ۖفَمَاٱسْتَقَـٰمُوا۟لَكُمْفَٱسْتَقِيمُوا۟لَهُمْ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَيُحِبُّٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
l-mutaqīnayuḥibbul-lahainnalahumfa-is'taqīmūlakumis'taqāmūfamāl-ḥarāmil-masjidiʿindaʿāhadttumalladhīnaillārasūlihiwaʿindal-lahiʿindaʿahdunlil'mush'rikīnayakūnukayfa
Howcan (there) befor the polytheistsa covenantwithAllahand withHis Messengerexceptthose (with) whomyou made a covenantnearAl-MasjidAl-HaraamSo long asthey are uprightto youthen you be uprightto themIndeedAllahlovesthe righteous
9:7
كَيْفَوَإِنيَظْهَرُوا۟عَلَيْكُمْلَايَرْقُبُوا۟فِيكُمْإِلًّۭاوَلَاذِمَّةًۭ ۚيُرْضُونَكُمبِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْوَتَأْبَىٰقُلُوبُهُمْوَأَكْثَرُهُمْفَـٰسِقُونَ
fāsiqūnawa-aktharuhumqulūbuhumwatabābi-afwāhihimyur'ḍūnakumdhimmatanwalāillanfīkumyarqubūlāʿalaykumyaẓharūwa-inkayfa
Howwhile, ifthey gain dominanceover youthey do not regard (the ties)they do not regard (the ties)with you(of) kinshipand notcovenant of protectionThey satisfy youwith their mouthsbut refusetheir heartsand most of them(are) defiantly disobedient
9:8
ٱشْتَرَوْا۟بِـَٔايَـٰتِٱللَّهِثَمَنًۭاقَلِيلًۭافَصَدُّوا۟عَنسَبِيلِهِۦٓ ۚإِنَّهُمْسَآءَمَاكَانُوا۟يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnakānūmāsāainnahumsabīlihiʿanfaṣaddūqalīlanthamananl-lahibiāyātiish'taraw
They exchange[with] the Verses of Allah[with] the Verses of Allah(for) a little price(for) a little priceand they hinder (people)fromHis wayIndeedevil(is) whatthey used todo
9:9
لَايَرْقُبُونَفِىمُؤْمِنٍإِلًّۭاوَلَاذِمَّةًۭ ۚوَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْمُعْتَدُونَ
l-muʿ'tadūnahumuwa-ulāikadhimmatanwalāillanmu'mininfīyarqubūnalā
Notthey respect (the ties)towardsa believer(of) kinshipand notcovenant of protectionAnd those[they](are) the transgressors
9:10
فَإِنتَابُوا۟وَأَقَامُوا۟ٱلصَّلَوٰةَوَءَاتَوُا۟ٱلزَّكَوٰةَفَإِخْوَٰنُكُمْفِىٱلدِّينِ ۗوَنُفَصِّلُٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِلِقَوْمٍۢيَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnaliqawminl-āyātiwanufaṣṣilul-dīnifīfa-ikh'wānukuml-zakatawaātawūl-ṣalatawa-aqāmūtābūfa-in
But ifthey repentand establishthe prayerand givethe zakahthen (they are) your brothersin[the] religionAnd We explain in detailthe Versesfor a people(who) know
9:11
وَإِننَّكَثُوٓا۟أَيْمَـٰنَهُممِّنۢبَعْدِعَهْدِهِمْوَطَعَنُوا۟فِىدِينِكُمْفَقَـٰتِلُوٓا۟أَئِمَّةَٱلْكُفْرِ ۙإِنَّهُمْلَآأَيْمَـٰنَلَهُمْلَعَلَّهُمْيَنتَهُونَ
yantahūnalaʿallahumlahumaymānalāinnahuml-kuf'ria-immatafaqātilūdīnikumfīwaṭaʿanūʿahdihimbaʿdiminaymānahumnakathūwa-in
And ifthey breaktheir oathsafteraftertheir treatyand defame[in]your religionthen fightthe leaders(of) [the] disbeliefindeed, they nooathsfor themso that they maycease
9:12
أَلَاتُقَـٰتِلُونَقَوْمًۭانَّكَثُوٓا۟أَيْمَـٰنَهُمْوَهَمُّوا۟بِإِخْرَاجِٱلرَّسُولِوَهُمبَدَءُوكُمْأَوَّلَمَرَّةٍ ۚأَتَخْشَوْنَهُمْ ۚفَٱللَّهُأَحَقُّأَنتَخْشَوْهُإِنكُنتُممُّؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnakuntumintakhshawhuanaḥaqqufal-lahuatakhshawnahummarratinawwalabadaūkumwahuml-rasūlibi-ikh'rājiwahammūaymānahumnakathūqawmantuqātilūnaalā
Will notyou fighta peoplewho broketheir oathsand determinedto drive outthe Messengerand theybegan (to attack) youfirsttimeDo you fear themBut Allah(has) more rightthatyou should fear Himifyou arebelievers
9:13
قَـٰتِلُوهُمْيُعَذِّبْهُمُٱللَّهُبِأَيْدِيكُمْوَيُخْزِهِمْوَيَنصُرْكُمْعَلَيْهِمْوَيَشْفِصُدُورَقَوْمٍۢمُّؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnaqawminṣudūrawayashfiʿalayhimwayanṣur'kumwayukh'zihimbi-aydīkuml-lahuyuʿadhib'humuqātilūhum
Fight them Allah will punish themAllah will punish themby your handsand disgrace themand give you victoryover themand will heal(the) breasts(of) a people(who are) believers
9:14
وَيُذْهِبْغَيْظَقُلُوبِهِمْ ۗوَيَتُوبُٱللَّهُعَلَىٰمَنيَشَآءُ ۗوَٱللَّهُعَلِيمٌحَكِيمٌ
ḥakīmunʿalīmunwal-lahuyashāumanʿalāl-lahuwayatūbuqulūbihimghayẓawayudh'hib
And remove(the) anger(of) their heartsAnd Allah accepts repentanceAnd Allah accepts repentanceofwhomHe willsAnd Allah(is) All-KnowerAll-Wise
9:15
أَمْحَسِبْتُمْأَنتُتْرَكُوا۟وَلَمَّايَعْلَمِٱللَّهُٱلَّذِينَجَـٰهَدُوا۟مِنكُمْوَلَمْيَتَّخِذُوا۟مِندُونِٱللَّهِوَلَارَسُولِهِۦوَلَاٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَوَلِيجَةًۭ ۚوَٱللَّهُخَبِيرٌۢبِمَاتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnabimākhabīrunwal-lahuwalījatanl-mu'minīnawalārasūlihiwalāl-lahidūniminyattakhidhūwalamminkumjāhadūalladhīnal-lahuyaʿlamiwalammātut'rakūanḥasib'tumam
Or(do) you thinkthatyou would be leftwhile notAllah made evidentAllah made evidentthose whostriveamong youand nottakebesides Allahbesides Allahbesides Allahand notHis Messengerand notthe believers(as) intimatesAnd Allah(is) All-Awareof whatyou do
9:16
مَاكَانَلِلْمُشْرِكِينَأَنيَعْمُرُوا۟مَسَـٰجِدَٱللَّهِشَـٰهِدِينَعَلَىٰٓأَنفُسِهِمبِٱلْكُفْرِ ۚأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَحَبِطَتْأَعْمَـٰلُهُمْوَفِىٱلنَّارِهُمْخَـٰلِدُونَ
khālidūnahuml-nāriwafīaʿmāluhumḥabiṭatulāikabil-kuf'rianfusihimʿalāshāhidīnal-lahimasājidayaʿmurūanlil'mush'rikīnakānamā
(It) is not(It) is notfor the polytheiststhatthey maintain(the) masajid of Allah(the) masajid of Allah(while) witnessingagainstthemselves[with] disbelief(For) thoseworthless(are) their deedsand inthe Firethey(will) abide forever
9:17
إِنَّمَايَعْمُرُمَسَـٰجِدَٱللَّهِمَنْءَامَنَبِٱللَّهِوَٱلْيَوْمِٱلْـَٔاخِرِوَأَقَامَٱلصَّلَوٰةَوَءَاتَىٱلزَّكَوٰةَوَلَمْيَخْشَإِلَّاٱللَّهَ ۖفَعَسَىٰٓأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَأَنيَكُونُوا۟مِنَٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ
l-muh'tadīnaminayakūnūanulāikafaʿasāl-lahaillāyakhshawalaml-zakatawaātāl-ṣalatawa-aqāmal-ākhiriwal-yawmibil-lahiāmanamanl-lahimasājidayaʿmuruinnamā
Onlywill maintain(the) masajid of Allah(the) masajid of Allah(the one) whobelievesin Allahand the Daythe Lastand establishesthe prayerand givesthe zakahand notfearexceptAllahThen perhapsthose[that]they areofthe guided ones
9:18
۞ أَجَعَلْتُمْسِقَايَةَٱلْحَآجِّوَعِمَارَةَٱلْمَسْجِدِٱلْحَرَامِكَمَنْءَامَنَبِٱللَّهِوَٱلْيَوْمِٱلْـَٔاخِرِوَجَـٰهَدَفِىسَبِيلِٱللَّهِ ۚلَايَسْتَوُۥنَعِندَٱللَّهِ ۗوَٱللَّهُلَايَهْدِىٱلْقَوْمَٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnal-qawmayahdīlāwal-lahul-lahiʿindayastawūnalāl-lahisabīlifīwajāhadal-ākhiriwal-yawmibil-lahiāmanakamanl-ḥarāmil-masjidiwaʿimāratal-ḥājisiqāyataajaʿaltum
Do you makethe providing of water(to) the pilgrimsand (the) maintenance(of) Al-Masjid Al-Haraam(of) Al-Masjid Al-Haraamlike (the one) whobelievesin Allahand the Daythe Lastand strivesin(the) way(of) AllahThey are not equalThey are not equalnearAllahAnd Allah(does) notguidethe people the wrongdoers
9:19
ٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَهَاجَرُوا۟وَجَـٰهَدُوا۟فِىسَبِيلِٱللَّهِبِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْوَأَنفُسِهِمْأَعْظَمُدَرَجَةًعِندَٱللَّهِ ۚوَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْفَآئِزُونَ
l-fāizūnahumuwa-ulāikal-lahiʿindadarajatanaʿẓamuwa-anfusihimbi-amwālihiml-lahisabīlifīwajāhadūwahājarūāmanūalladhīna
Those whobelievedand emigratedand strovein(the) way(of) Allahwith their wealthand their lives(are) greater(in) ranknearAllahAnd those they(are) the successful
9:20
يُبَشِّرُهُمْرَبُّهُمبِرَحْمَةٍۢمِّنْهُوَرِضْوَٰنٍۢوَجَنَّـٰتٍۢلَّهُمْفِيهَانَعِيمٌۭمُّقِيمٌ
muqīmunnaʿīmunfīhālahumwajannātinwariḍ'wāninmin'hubiraḥmatinrabbuhumyubashiruhum
Their Lord gives them glad tidingsTheir Lord gives them glad tidingsof Mercyfrom Himand Pleasureand Gardensfor them in it(is) blissenduring
9:21
خَـٰلِدِينَفِيهَآأَبَدًا ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَعِندَهُۥٓأَجْرٌعَظِيمٌۭ
ʿaẓīmunajrunʿindahul-lahainnaabadanfīhākhālidīna
(They will) abidein itforeverIndeedAllah with Him(is) a rewardgreat
9:22
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟لَاتَتَّخِذُوٓا۟ءَابَآءَكُمْوَإِخْوَٰنَكُمْأَوْلِيَآءَإِنِٱسْتَحَبُّوا۟ٱلْكُفْرَعَلَىٱلْإِيمَـٰنِ ۚوَمَنيَتَوَلَّهُممِّنكُمْفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ
l-ẓālimūnahumufa-ulāikaminkumyatawallahumwamanl-īmāniʿalāl-kuf'rais'taḥabbūiniawliyāawa-ikh'wānakumābāakumtattakhidhūlāāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieve(Do) nottakeyour fathersand your brothers(as) alliesifthey prefer[the] disbeliefover[the] beliefAnd whoevertakes them as alliesamong youthen those[they](are) the wrongdoers
9:23
قُلْإِنكَانَءَابَآؤُكُمْوَأَبْنَآؤُكُمْوَإِخْوَٰنُكُمْوَأَزْوَٰجُكُمْوَعَشِيرَتُكُمْوَأَمْوَٰلٌٱقْتَرَفْتُمُوهَاوَتِجَـٰرَةٌۭتَخْشَوْنَكَسَادَهَاوَمَسَـٰكِنُتَرْضَوْنَهَآأَحَبَّإِلَيْكُممِّنَٱللَّهِوَرَسُولِهِۦوَجِهَادٍۢفِىسَبِيلِهِۦفَتَرَبَّصُوا۟حَتَّىٰيَأْتِىَٱللَّهُبِأَمْرِهِۦ ۗوَٱللَّهُلَايَهْدِىٱلْقَوْمَٱلْفَـٰسِقِينَ
l-fāsiqīnal-qawmayahdīlāwal-lahubi-amrihil-lahuyatiyaḥattāfatarabbaṣūsabīlihifīwajihādinwarasūlihil-lahiminailaykumaḥabbatarḍawnahāwamasākinukasādahātakhshawnawatijāratuniq'taraftumūhāwa-amwālunwaʿashīratukumwa-azwājukumwa-ikh'wānukumwa-abnāukumābāukumkānainqul
SayIfareyour fathersand your sonsand your brothersand your spousesand your relativesand wealththat you have acquiredand the commerceyou feara decline (in) itand the dwellingsyou delight (in) it(are) more belovedto youthanAllahand His Messengerand strivinginHis waythen waituntilAllah bringsAllah bringsHis CommandAnd Allah(does) notguidethe people the defiantly disobedient
9:24
لَقَدْنَصَرَكُمُٱللَّهُفِىمَوَاطِنَكَثِيرَةٍۢ ۙوَيَوْمَحُنَيْنٍ ۙإِذْأَعْجَبَتْكُمْكَثْرَتُكُمْفَلَمْتُغْنِعَنكُمْشَيْـًۭٔاوَضَاقَتْعَلَيْكُمُٱلْأَرْضُبِمَارَحُبَتْثُمَّوَلَّيْتُممُّدْبِرِينَ
mud'birīnawallaytumthummaraḥubatbimāl-arḍuʿalaykumuwaḍāqatshayanʿankumtugh'nifalamkathratukumaʿjabatkumidhḥunayninwayawmakathīratinmawāṭinafīl-lahunaṣarakumulaqad
VerilyAllah helped youAllah helped youinregionsmanyand (on the) day(of) Hunainwhenpleased youyour multitudebut notavailedyouanythingand (was) straitenedfor youthe earth(in spite) of its vastness(in spite) of its vastnessthenyou turned backfleeing
9:25
ثُمَّأَنزَلَٱللَّهُسَكِينَتَهُۥعَلَىٰرَسُولِهِۦوَعَلَىٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَوَأَنزَلَجُنُودًۭالَّمْتَرَوْهَاوَعَذَّبَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟ ۚوَذَٰلِكَجَزَآءُٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīnajazāuwadhālikakafarūalladhīnawaʿadhabatarawhālamjunūdanwa-anzalal-mu'minīnawaʿalārasūlihiʿalāsakīnatahul-lahuanzalathumma
ThenAllah sent downAllah sent downHis tranquilityonHis Messengerand onthe believersand sent downforceswhich you did not seewhich you did not seeand He punishedthose whodisbelievedAnd that(is) the recompense(of) the disbelievers
9:26
ثُمَّيَتُوبُٱللَّهُمِنۢبَعْدِذَٰلِكَعَلَىٰمَنيَشَآءُ ۗوَٱللَّهُغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunghafūrunwal-lahuyashāumanʿalādhālikabaʿdiminl-lahuyatūbuthumma
ThenAllah accepts repentanceAllah accepts repentanceafterafterthatforwhomHe willsAnd Allah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
9:27
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوٓا۟إِنَّمَاٱلْمُشْرِكُونَنَجَسٌۭفَلَايَقْرَبُوا۟ٱلْمَسْجِدَٱلْحَرَامَبَعْدَعَامِهِمْهَـٰذَا ۚوَإِنْخِفْتُمْعَيْلَةًۭفَسَوْفَيُغْنِيكُمُٱللَّهُمِنفَضْلِهِۦٓإِنشَآءَ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَعَلِيمٌحَكِيمٌۭ
ḥakīmunʿalīmunl-lahainnashāainfaḍlihiminl-lahuyugh'nīkumufasawfaʿaylatankhif'tumwa-inhādhāʿāmihimbaʿdal-ḥarāmal-masjidayaqrabūfalānajasunl-mush'rikūnainnamāāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O you who believeO you who believeO you who believeIndeedthe polytheists(are) uncleanso let them not come nearso let them not come nearAl-Masjid Al-HaraamAl-Masjid Al-Haraamafterthis, their (final) yearthis, their (final) yearAnd ifyou fearpovertythen soonAllah will enrich youAllah will enrich youfromHis BountyifHe willsIndeedAllah(is) All-KnowerAll-Wise
9:28
قَـٰتِلُوا۟ٱلَّذِينَلَايُؤْمِنُونَبِٱللَّهِوَلَابِٱلْيَوْمِٱلْـَٔاخِرِوَلَايُحَرِّمُونَمَاحَرَّمَٱللَّهُوَرَسُولُهُۥوَلَايَدِينُونَدِينَٱلْحَقِّمِنَٱلَّذِينَأُوتُوا۟ٱلْكِتَـٰبَحَتَّىٰيُعْطُوا۟ٱلْجِزْيَةَعَنيَدٍۢوَهُمْصَـٰغِرُونَ
ṣāghirūnawahumyadinʿanl-jiz'yatayuʿ'ṭūḥattāl-kitābaūtūalladhīnaminal-ḥaqidīnayadīnūnawalāwarasūluhul-lahuḥarramamāyuḥarrimūnawalāl-ākhiribil-yawmiwalābil-lahiyu'minūnalāalladhīnaqātilū
Fightthose who(do) notbelievein Allahand notin the Daythe Lastand notthey make unlawfulwhatAllah has made unlawfulAllah has made unlawfuland His Messengerand notthey acknowledge(the) religion(of) the truthfromthose whowere giventhe Scriptureuntilthey paythe jizyahwillinglywillinglywhile they(are) subdued
9:29
وَقَالَتِٱلْيَهُودُعُزَيْرٌٱبْنُٱللَّهِوَقَالَتِٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٱلْمَسِيحُٱبْنُٱللَّهِ ۖذَٰلِكَقَوْلُهُمبِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ ۖيُضَـٰهِـُٔونَقَوْلَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟مِنقَبْلُ ۚقَـٰتَلَهُمُٱللَّهُ ۚأَنَّىٰيُؤْفَكُونَ
yu'fakūnaannāl-lahuqātalahumuqabluminkafarūalladhīnaqawlayuḍāhiūnabi-afwāhihimqawluhumdhālikal-lahiub'nul-masīḥul-naṣārāwaqālatil-lahiub'nuʿuzayrunl-yahūduwaqālati
And saidthe JewsUzair(is) son(of) AllahAnd saidthe ChristiansMessiah(is) son(of) AllahThat(is) their sayingwith their mouthsthey imitatethe saying(of) those whodisbelievedbeforebefore(May) Allah destroy them(May) Allah destroy themHowdeluded are they
9:30
ٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟أَحْبَارَهُمْوَرُهْبَـٰنَهُمْأَرْبَابًۭامِّندُونِٱللَّهِوَٱلْمَسِيحَٱبْنَمَرْيَمَوَمَآأُمِرُوٓا۟إِلَّالِيَعْبُدُوٓا۟إِلَـٰهًۭاوَٰحِدًۭا ۖلَّآإِلَـٰهَإِلَّاهُوَ ۚسُبْحَـٰنَهُۥعَمَّايُشْرِكُونَ
yush'rikūnaʿammāsub'ḥānahuhuwaillāilāhalāwāḥidanilāhanliyaʿbudūillāumirūwamāmaryamaib'nawal-masīḥal-lahidūniminarbābanwaruh'bānahumaḥbārahumittakhadhū
They have takentheir rabbisand their monks(as) LordsbesidesbesidesAllahand the Messiahson(of) MaryamAnd notthey were commandedexceptthat they worshipOne GodOne God(There) is nogodexceptHimGlory be to Himfrom whatthey associate (with Him)
9:31
يُرِيدُونَأَنيُطْفِـُٔوا۟نُورَٱللَّهِبِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْوَيَأْبَىٱللَّهُإِلَّآأَنيُتِمَّنُورَهُۥوَلَوْكَرِهَٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ
l-kāfirūnakarihawalawnūrahuyutimmaanillāl-lahuwayabābi-afwāhihiml-lahinūrayuṭ'fiūanyurīdūna
They wanttoextinguishAllah's lightAllah's lightwith their mouthsbut Allah refusesbut Allah refusesexcepttoperfectHis Lighteven ifthe disbelievers dislike (it)the disbelievers dislike (it)
9:32
هُوَٱلَّذِىٓأَرْسَلَرَسُولَهُۥبِٱلْهُدَىٰوَدِينِٱلْحَقِّلِيُظْهِرَهُۥعَلَىٱلدِّينِكُلِّهِۦوَلَوْكَرِهَٱلْمُشْرِكُونَ
l-mush'rikūnakarihawalawkullihil-dīniʿalāliyuẓ'hirahul-ḥaqiwadīnibil-hudārasūlahuarsalaalladhīhuwa
He(is) the One Whohas sentHis Messengerwith the guidanceand the religion(of) [the] truthto manifest itoverall religionsall religionsEven ifdislike (it)the polytheists
9:33
۞ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوٓا۟إِنَّكَثِيرًۭامِّنَٱلْأَحْبَارِوَٱلرُّهْبَانِلَيَأْكُلُونَأَمْوَٰلَٱلنَّاسِبِٱلْبَـٰطِلِوَيَصُدُّونَعَنسَبِيلِٱللَّهِ ۗوَٱلَّذِينَيَكْنِزُونَٱلذَّهَبَوَٱلْفِضَّةَوَلَايُنفِقُونَهَافِىسَبِيلِٱللَّهِفَبَشِّرْهُمبِعَذَابٍأَلِيمٍۢ
alīminbiʿadhābinfabashir'huml-lahisabīlifīyunfiqūnahāwalāwal-fiḍatal-dhahabayaknizūnawa-alladhīnal-lahisabīliʿanwayaṣuddūnabil-bāṭilil-nāsiamwālalayakulūnawal-ruh'bānil-aḥbāriminakathīraninnaāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O you who believeO you who believeO you who believeIndeedmanyofthe rabbisand the monkssurely eat(the) wealth(of) the peoplein falsehoodand hinderfrom(the) way(of) AllahAnd those whohoardthe goldand the silverand (do) notspend itin(the) way(of) Allah[so] give them tidingsof a punishmentpainful
9:34
يَوْمَيُحْمَىٰعَلَيْهَافِىنَارِجَهَنَّمَفَتُكْوَىٰبِهَاجِبَاهُهُمْوَجُنُوبُهُمْوَظُهُورُهُمْ ۖهَـٰذَامَاكَنَزْتُمْلِأَنفُسِكُمْفَذُوقُوا۟مَاكُنتُمْتَكْنِزُونَ
taknizūnakuntummāfadhūqūli-anfusikumkanaztummāhādhāwaẓuhūruhumwajunūbuhumjibāhuhumbihāfatuk'wājahannamanārifīʿalayhāyuḥ'māyawma
(The) Dayit will be heated [on it]it will be heated [on it]inthe Fire(of) Helland will be brandedwith ittheir foreheadsand their flanksand their backsThis(is) whatyou hoardedfor yourselvesso tastewhatyou used tohoard
9:35
إِنَّعِدَّةَٱلشُّهُورِعِندَٱللَّهِٱثْنَاعَشَرَشَهْرًۭافِىكِتَـٰبِٱللَّهِيَوْمَخَلَقَٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضَمِنْهَآأَرْبَعَةٌحُرُمٌۭ ۚذَٰلِكَٱلدِّينُٱلْقَيِّمُ ۚفَلَاتَظْلِمُوا۟فِيهِنَّأَنفُسَكُمْ ۚوَقَـٰتِلُوا۟ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَكَآفَّةًۭكَمَايُقَـٰتِلُونَكُمْكَآفَّةًۭ ۚوَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟أَنَّٱللَّهَمَعَٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
l-mutaqīnamaʿal-lahaannawa-iʿ'lamūkāffatanyuqātilūnakumkamākāffatanl-mush'rikīnawaqātilūanfusakumfīhinnataẓlimūfalāl-qayimul-dīnudhālikaḥurumunarbaʿatunmin'hāwal-arḍal-samāwātikhalaqayawmal-lahikitābifīshahranʿasharaith'nāl-lahiʿindal-shuhūriʿiddatainna
Indeed(the) number(of) the monthswithAllah(is) twelve(is) twelvemonthsin(the) ordinance(of) Allah(from the) DayHe createdthe heavensand the earthof themfour(are) sacredThat(is) the religionthe uprightso (do) notwrongthereinyourselvesAnd fightthe polytheistsall togetherasthey fight youall togetherAnd knowthatAllah(is) withthe righteous
9:36
إِنَّمَاٱلنَّسِىٓءُزِيَادَةٌۭفِىٱلْكُفْرِ ۖيُضَلُّبِهِٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟يُحِلُّونَهُۥعَامًۭاوَيُحَرِّمُونَهُۥعَامًۭالِّيُوَاطِـُٔوا۟عِدَّةَمَاحَرَّمَٱللَّهُفَيُحِلُّوا۟مَاحَرَّمَٱللَّهُ ۚزُيِّنَلَهُمْسُوٓءُأَعْمَـٰلِهِمْ ۗوَٱللَّهُلَايَهْدِىٱلْقَوْمَٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīnal-qawmayahdīlāwal-lahuaʿmālihimsūulahumzuyyinal-lahuḥarramamāfayuḥillūl-lahuḥarramamāʿiddataliyuwāṭiūʿāmanwayuḥarrimūnahuʿāmanyuḥillūnahukafarūalladhīnabihiyuḍallul-kuf'rifīziyādatunl-nasīuinnamā
Indeedthe postponing(is) an increaseinthe disbeliefare led astrayby itthose whodisbelieveThey make it lawfulone yearand make it unlawful(another) yearto adjustthe numberwhichAllah has made unlawfulAllah has made unlawfuland making lawfulwhatAllah has made unlawfulAllah has made unlawfulIs made fair-seemingto them(the) evil(of) their deedsAnd Allah(does) notguidethe people the disbelievers
9:37
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟مَالَكُمْإِذَاقِيلَلَكُمُٱنفِرُوا۟فِىسَبِيلِٱللَّهِٱثَّاقَلْتُمْإِلَىٱلْأَرْضِ ۚأَرَضِيتُمبِٱلْحَيَوٰةِٱلدُّنْيَامِنَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۚفَمَامَتَـٰعُٱلْحَيَوٰةِٱلدُّنْيَافِىٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِإِلَّاقَلِيلٌ
qalīlunillāl-ākhiratifīl-dun'yāl-ḥayatimatāʿufamāl-ākhiratiminal-dun'yābil-ḥayatiaraḍītuml-arḍiilāithāqaltuml-lahisabīlifīinfirūlakumuqīlaidhālakummāāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O you who believeO you who believeO you who believeWhat(is the matter) with youwhenit is saidto yougo forthin(the) way(of) Allahyou cling heavilytothe earthAre you pleasedwith the life(of) the world(rather) thanthe HereafterBut what(is the) enjoyment(of) the life(of) the worldin (comparison to)the hereafterexcepta little
9:38
إِلَّاتَنفِرُوا۟يُعَذِّبْكُمْعَذَابًاأَلِيمًۭاوَيَسْتَبْدِلْقَوْمًاغَيْرَكُمْوَلَاتَضُرُّوهُشَيْـًۭٔا ۗوَٱللَّهُعَلَىٰكُلِّشَىْءٍۢقَدِيرٌ
qadīrunshayinkulliʿalāwal-lahushayantaḍurrūhuwalāghayrakumqawmanwayastabdilalīmanʿadhābanyuʿadhib'kumtanfirūillā
If notyou go forthHe will punish you(with) a painful punishment(with) a painful punishmentand will replace you(with) a peopleother than youand notyou can harm Him(in) anythingAnd Allah(is) oneverythingAll-Powerful
9:39
إِلَّاتَنصُرُوهُفَقَدْنَصَرَهُٱللَّهُإِذْأَخْرَجَهُٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟ثَانِىَٱثْنَيْنِإِذْهُمَافِىٱلْغَارِإِذْيَقُولُلِصَـٰحِبِهِۦلَاتَحْزَنْإِنَّٱللَّهَمَعَنَا ۖفَأَنزَلَٱللَّهُسَكِينَتَهُۥعَلَيْهِوَأَيَّدَهُۥبِجُنُودٍۢلَّمْتَرَوْهَاوَجَعَلَكَلِمَةَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟ٱلسُّفْلَىٰ ۗوَكَلِمَةُٱللَّهِهِىَٱلْعُلْيَا ۗوَٱللَّهُعَزِيزٌحَكِيمٌ
ḥakīmunʿazīzunwal-lahul-ʿul'yāhiyal-lahiwakalimatul-suf'lākafarūalladhīnakalimatawajaʿalatarawhālambijunūdinwa-ayyadahuʿalayhisakīnatahul-lahufa-anzalamaʿanāl-lahainnataḥzanlāliṣāḥibihiyaqūluidhl-ghārifīhumāidhith'naynithāniyakafarūalladhīnaakhrajahuidhl-lahunaṣarahufaqadtanṣurūhuillā
If notyou help himcertainlyAllah helped himAllah helped himwhendrove him outthose whodisbelievedthe second(of) the twowhenthey both(were) inthe cavewhenhe saidto his companion(Do) notgrieveindeedAllah(is) with usThen Allah sent downThen Allah sent downHis tranquilityupon himand supported himwith forceswhich you did not seewhich you did not seeand made(the) word(of) those whodisbelievedthe lowestwhile (the) Word(of) Allahit (is)the highestAnd Allah(is) All-MightyAll-Wise
9:40
ٱنفِرُوا۟خِفَافًۭاوَثِقَالًۭاوَجَـٰهِدُوا۟بِأَمْوَٰلِكُمْوَأَنفُسِكُمْفِىسَبِيلِٱللَّهِ ۚذَٰلِكُمْخَيْرٌۭلَّكُمْإِنكُنتُمْتَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūnakuntuminlakumkhayrundhālikuml-lahisabīlifīwa-anfusikumbi-amwālikumwajāhidūwathiqālankhifāfaninfirū
Go forthlightor heavyand strivewith your wealthand your livesin(the) way(of) AllahThat(is) betterfor youifyouknow
9:41
لَوْكَانَعَرَضًۭاقَرِيبًۭاوَسَفَرًۭاقَاصِدًۭالَّٱتَّبَعُوكَوَلَـٰكِنۢبَعُدَتْعَلَيْهِمُٱلشُّقَّةُ ۚوَسَيَحْلِفُونَبِٱللَّهِلَوِٱسْتَطَعْنَالَخَرَجْنَامَعَكُمْيُهْلِكُونَأَنفُسَهُمْوَٱللَّهُيَعْلَمُإِنَّهُمْلَكَـٰذِبُونَ
lakādhibūnainnahumyaʿlamuwal-lahuanfusahumyuh'likūnamaʿakumlakharajnāis'taṭaʿnālawibil-lahiwasayaḥlifūnal-shuqatuʿalayhimubaʿudatwalākinla-ittabaʿūkaqāṣidanwasafaranqarībanʿaraḍankānalaw
Ifit had beena gainnearand a journeyeasysurely they (would) have followed youbutwas longfor themthe distanceAnd they will swearby AllahIfwe were ablecertainly we (would) have come forthwith youThey destroytheir own selvesand Allahknows(that) indeed, they(are) surely liars
9:42
عَفَاٱللَّهُعَنكَلِمَأَذِنتَلَهُمْحَتَّىٰيَتَبَيَّنَلَكَٱلَّذِينَصَدَقُوا۟وَتَعْلَمَٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ
l-kādhibīnawataʿlamaṣadaqūalladhīnalakayatabayyanaḥattālahumadhintalimaʿankal-lahuʿafā
(May) Allah forgive(May) Allah forgiveyouWhy (did)you grant leaveto themuntil(became) evidentto youthose whowere truthfuland you knewthe liars
9:43
لَايَسْتَـْٔذِنُكَٱلَّذِينَيُؤْمِنُونَبِٱللَّهِوَٱلْيَوْمِٱلْـَٔاخِرِأَنيُجَـٰهِدُوا۟بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْوَأَنفُسِهِمْ ۗوَٱللَّهُعَلِيمٌۢبِٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
bil-mutaqīnaʿalīmunwal-lahuwa-anfusihimbi-amwālihimyujāhidūanl-ākhiriwal-yawmibil-lahiyu'minūnaalladhīnayastadhinukalā
(Would) not ask your permission(Would) not ask your permissionthose whobelievein Allahand the Daythe Lastthatthey strivewith their wealthand their livesAnd Allah(is) All-Knowerof the righteous
9:44
إِنَّمَايَسْتَـْٔذِنُكَٱلَّذِينَلَايُؤْمِنُونَبِٱللَّهِوَٱلْيَوْمِٱلْـَٔاخِرِوَٱرْتَابَتْقُلُوبُهُمْفَهُمْفِىرَيْبِهِمْيَتَرَدَّدُونَ
yataraddadūnaraybihimfīfahumqulūbuhumwa-ir'tābatl-ākhiriwal-yawmibil-lahiyu'minūnalāalladhīnayastadhinukainnamā
Onlyask your leavethose who(do) notbelievein Allahand the Daythe Lastand (are in) doubtstheir heartsso theyintheir doubtsthey waver
9:45
۞ وَلَوْأَرَادُوا۟ٱلْخُرُوجَلَأَعَدُّوا۟لَهُۥعُدَّةًۭوَلَـٰكِنكَرِهَٱللَّهُٱنۢبِعَاثَهُمْفَثَبَّطَهُمْوَقِيلَٱقْعُدُوا۟مَعَٱلْقَـٰعِدِينَ
l-qāʿidīnamaʿauq'ʿudūwaqīlafathabbaṭahuminbiʿāthahuml-lahukarihawalākinʿuddatanlahula-aʿaddūl-khurūjaarādūwalaw
And ifthey had wished(to) go forthsurely they (would) have preparedfor it(some) preparationButAllah dislikedAllah dislikedtheir being sentso He made them lag behindand it was saidSitwiththose who sit
9:46
لَوْخَرَجُوا۟فِيكُممَّازَادُوكُمْإِلَّاخَبَالًۭاوَلَأَوْضَعُوا۟خِلَـٰلَكُمْيَبْغُونَكُمُٱلْفِتْنَةَوَفِيكُمْسَمَّـٰعُونَلَهُمْ ۗوَٱللَّهُعَلِيمٌۢبِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
bil-ẓālimīnaʿalīmunwal-lahulahumsammāʿūnawafīkuml-fit'natayabghūnakumukhilālakumwala-awḍaʿūkhabālanillāzādūkummāfīkumkharajūlaw
Ifthey (had) gone forthwith younotthey (would) have increased youexcept(in) confusionand would have been activein your midstseeking (for) youdissensionAnd among you (are some)who would have listenedto themAnd Allah(is) All-Knowerof the wrongdoers
9:47
لَقَدِٱبْتَغَوُا۟ٱلْفِتْنَةَمِنقَبْلُوَقَلَّبُوا۟لَكَٱلْأُمُورَحَتَّىٰجَآءَٱلْحَقُّوَظَهَرَأَمْرُٱللَّهِوَهُمْكَـٰرِهُونَ
kārihūnawahuml-lahiamruwaẓaharal-ḥaqujāaḥattāl-umūralakawaqallabūqabluminl-fit'nataib'taghawūlaqadi
Verilythey had soughtdissensionbeforebeforeand had upsetfor youthe mattersuntilcamethe truthand became manifest(the) Order of Allah(the) Order of Allahwhile theydisliked (it)
9:48
وَمِنْهُممَّنيَقُولُٱئْذَنلِّىوَلَاتَفْتِنِّىٓ ۚأَلَافِىٱلْفِتْنَةِسَقَطُوا۟ ۗوَإِنَّجَهَنَّمَلَمُحِيطَةٌۢبِٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
bil-kāfirīnalamuḥīṭatunjahannamawa-innasaqaṭūl-fit'natifīalātaftinnīwalālīi'dhanyaqūlumanwamin'hum
And among them(is he) whosaysGrant me leaveGrant me leaveand (do) notput me to trialSurelyinthe trialthey have fallenAnd indeedHell(will) surely surroundthe disbelievers
9:49
إِنتُصِبْكَحَسَنَةٌۭتَسُؤْهُمْ ۖوَإِنتُصِبْكَمُصِيبَةٌۭيَقُولُوا۟قَدْأَخَذْنَآأَمْرَنَامِنقَبْلُوَيَتَوَلَّوا۟وَّهُمْفَرِحُونَ
fariḥūnawahumwayatawallawqabluminamranāakhadhnāqadyaqūlūmuṣībatuntuṣib'kawa-intasu'humḥasanatuntuṣib'kain
Ifbefalls yougoodit distresses thembut ifbefalls youa calamitythey sayVerilywe tookour matterbeforebeforeAnd they turn awaywhile they(are) rejoicing
9:50
قُللَّنيُصِيبَنَآإِلَّامَاكَتَبَٱللَّهُلَنَاهُوَمَوْلَىٰنَا ۚوَعَلَىٱللَّهِفَلْيَتَوَكَّلِٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
l-mu'minūnafalyatawakkalil-lahiwaʿalāmawlānāhuwalanāl-lahukatabamāillāyuṣībanālanqul
SayNeverwill befall usexceptwhatAllah has decreedAllah has decreedfor usHe(is) our ProtectorAnd onAllah[so] let the believers put (their) trust[so] let the believers put (their) trust
9:51
قُلْهَلْتَرَبَّصُونَبِنَآإِلَّآإِحْدَىٱلْحُسْنَيَيْنِ ۖوَنَحْنُنَتَرَبَّصُبِكُمْأَنيُصِيبَكُمُٱللَّهُبِعَذَابٍۢمِّنْعِندِهِۦٓأَوْبِأَيْدِينَا ۖفَتَرَبَّصُوٓا۟إِنَّامَعَكُممُّتَرَبِّصُونَ
mutarabbiṣūnamaʿakuminnāfatarabbaṣūbi-aydīnāawʿindihiminbiʿadhābinl-lahuyuṣībakumuanbikumnatarabbaṣuwanaḥnul-ḥus'nayayniiḥ'dāillābinātarabbaṣūnahalqul
SayDoyou awaitfor usexceptone(of) the two best (things)while we[we] awaitfor youthatAllah will afflict youAllah will afflict youwith a punishmentfrom[near] Himorby our handsSo waitindeed, wewith you(are) waiting
9:52
قُلْأَنفِقُوا۟طَوْعًاأَوْكَرْهًۭالَّنيُتَقَبَّلَمِنكُمْ ۖإِنَّكُمْكُنتُمْقَوْمًۭافَـٰسِقِينَ
fāsiqīnaqawmankuntuminnakumminkumyutaqabbalalankarhanawṭawʿananfiqūqul
SaySpendwillinglyorunwillinglyneverwill be acceptedfrom youIndeed, you[you] area peopledefiantly disobedient
9:53
وَمَامَنَعَهُمْأَنتُقْبَلَمِنْهُمْنَفَقَـٰتُهُمْإِلَّآأَنَّهُمْكَفَرُوا۟بِٱللَّهِوَبِرَسُولِهِۦوَلَايَأْتُونَٱلصَّلَوٰةَإِلَّاوَهُمْكُسَالَىٰوَلَايُنفِقُونَإِلَّاوَهُمْكَـٰرِهُونَ
kārihūnawahumillāyunfiqūnawalākusālāwahumillāl-ṣalatayatūnawalāwabirasūlihibil-lahikafarūannahumillānafaqātuhummin'humtuq'balaanmanaʿahumwamā
And notprevents themthatis acceptedfrom themtheir contributionsexceptthat theydisbelievein Allahand in His Messengerand notthey come(to) the prayerexceptwhile they(are) lazyand notthey spendexceptwhile they(are) unwilling
9:54
فَلَاتُعْجِبْكَأَمْوَٰلُهُمْوَلَآأَوْلَـٰدُهُمْ ۚإِنَّمَايُرِيدُٱللَّهُلِيُعَذِّبَهُمبِهَافِىٱلْحَيَوٰةِٱلدُّنْيَاوَتَزْهَقَأَنفُسُهُمْوَهُمْكَـٰفِرُونَ
kāfirūnawahumanfusuhumwatazhaqal-dun'yāl-ḥayatifībihāliyuʿadhibahuml-lahuyurīduinnamāawlāduhumwalāamwāluhumtuʿ'jib'kafalā
So (let) notimpress youtheir wealthand nottheir childrenOnlyAllah intendsAllah intendsto punish themwith itinthe life(of) the worldand should departtheir soulswhile they(are) disbelievers
9:55
وَيَحْلِفُونَبِٱللَّهِإِنَّهُمْلَمِنكُمْوَمَاهُممِّنكُمْوَلَـٰكِنَّهُمْقَوْمٌۭيَفْرَقُونَ
yafraqūnaqawmunwalākinnahumminkumhumwamālaminkuminnahumbil-lahiwayaḥlifūna
And they swearby Allahindeed, theysurely (are) of youwhile notthey(are) of youbut they(are) a people(who) are afraid
9:56
لَوْيَجِدُونَمَلْجَـًٔاأَوْمَغَـٰرَٰتٍأَوْمُدَّخَلًۭالَّوَلَّوْا۟إِلَيْهِوَهُمْيَجْمَحُونَ
yajmaḥūnawahumilayhilawallawmuddakhalanawmaghārātinawmalja-anyajidūnalaw
Ifthey could finda refugeorcavesora place to entersurely, they would turnto itand theyrun wild
9:57
وَمِنْهُممَّنيَلْمِزُكَفِىٱلصَّدَقَـٰتِفَإِنْأُعْطُوا۟مِنْهَارَضُوا۟وَإِنلَّمْيُعْطَوْا۟مِنْهَآإِذَاهُمْيَسْخَطُونَ
yaskhaṭūnahumidhāmin'hāyuʿ'ṭawlamwa-inraḍūmin'hāuʿ'ṭūfa-inl-ṣadaqātifīyalmizukamanwamin'hum
And among them(is he) whocriticizes youconcerningthe charitiesThen ifthey are givenfrom itthey are pleasedbut ifnotthey are givenfrom itthenthey(are) enraged
9:58
وَلَوْأَنَّهُمْرَضُوا۟مَآءَاتَىٰهُمُٱللَّهُوَرَسُولُهُۥوَقَالُوا۟حَسْبُنَاٱللَّهُسَيُؤْتِينَاٱللَّهُمِنفَضْلِهِۦوَرَسُولُهُۥٓإِنَّآإِلَىٱللَّهِرَٰغِبُونَ
rāghibūnal-lahiilāinnāwarasūluhufaḍlihiminl-lahusayu'tīnāl-lahuḥasbunāwaqālūwarasūluhul-lahuātāhumumāraḍūannahumwalaw
And if[that] they(were) satisfied(with) whatAllah gave themAllah gave themand His Messengerand saidSufficient for us(is) AllahAllah will give usAllah will give usofHis Bountyand His MessengerIndeed, wetoAllahturn our hopes
9:59
۞ إِنَّمَاٱلصَّدَقَـٰتُلِلْفُقَرَآءِوَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينِوَٱلْعَـٰمِلِينَعَلَيْهَاوَٱلْمُؤَلَّفَةِقُلُوبُهُمْوَفِىٱلرِّقَابِوَٱلْغَـٰرِمِينَوَفِىسَبِيلِٱللَّهِوَٱبْنِٱلسَّبِيلِ ۖفَرِيضَةًۭمِّنَٱللَّهِ ۗوَٱللَّهُعَلِيمٌحَكِيمٌۭ
ḥakīmunʿalīmunwal-lahul-lahiminafarīḍatanl-sabīliwa-ib'nil-lahisabīliwafīwal-ghārimīnal-riqābiwafīqulūbuhumwal-mu-alafatiʿalayhāwal-ʿāmilīnawal-masākīnilil'fuqarāil-ṣadaqātuinnamā
Onlythe charities(are) for the poorand the needyand those who collectthemand the ones inclinedtheir heartsand inthe (freeing of) the necksand for those in debtand in(the) way(of) Allahand the wayfarer and the wayfarer an obligationfromAllahAnd Allah(is) All-KnowingAll-Wise
9:60
وَمِنْهُمُٱلَّذِينَيُؤْذُونَٱلنَّبِىَّوَيَقُولُونَهُوَأُذُنٌۭ ۚقُلْأُذُنُخَيْرٍۢلَّكُمْيُؤْمِنُبِٱللَّهِوَيُؤْمِنُلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَوَرَحْمَةٌۭلِّلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟مِنكُمْ ۚوَٱلَّذِينَيُؤْذُونَرَسُولَٱللَّهِلَهُمْعَذَابٌأَلِيمٌۭ
alīmunʿadhābunlahuml-lahirasūlayu'dhūnawa-alladhīnaminkumāmanūlilladhīnawaraḥmatunlil'mu'minīnawayu'minubil-lahiyu'minulakumkhayrinudhunuquludhununhuwawayaqūlūnal-nabiyayu'dhūnaalladhīnawamin'humu
And among them(are) those whohurtthe Prophetand they sayHe is(all) earSayAn ear(of) goodnessfor youhe believesin Allahand believesthe believersand (is) a mercyto those whobelieveamong youAnd those whohurt(the) Messenger(of) Allahfor them(is) a punishmentpainful
9:61
يَحْلِفُونَبِٱللَّهِلَكُمْلِيُرْضُوكُمْوَٱللَّهُوَرَسُولُهُۥٓأَحَقُّأَنيُرْضُوهُإِنكَانُوا۟مُؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnakānūinyur'ḍūhuanaḥaqquwarasūluhuwal-lahuliyur'ḍūkumlakumbil-lahiyaḥlifūna
They swearby Allahto youto please youAnd Allahand His Messenger(have) more rightthatthey should please Himifthey arebelievers
9:62
أَلَمْيَعْلَمُوٓا۟أَنَّهُۥمَنيُحَادِدِٱللَّهَوَرَسُولَهُۥفَأَنَّلَهُۥنَارَجَهَنَّمَخَـٰلِدًۭافِيهَا ۚذَٰلِكَٱلْخِزْىُٱلْعَظِيمُ
l-ʿaẓīmul-khiz'yudhālikafīhākhālidanjahannamanāralahufa-annawarasūlahul-lahayuḥādidimanannahuyaʿlamūalam
Do notthey knowthat hewhoopposesAllahand His Messenger[then] thatfor him(is the) Fire(of) Hell(will) abide foreverin itThat(is) the disgracethe great
9:63
يَحْذَرُٱلْمُنَـٰفِقُونَأَنتُنَزَّلَعَلَيْهِمْسُورَةٌۭتُنَبِّئُهُمبِمَافِىقُلُوبِهِمْ ۚقُلِٱسْتَهْزِءُوٓا۟إِنَّٱللَّهَمُخْرِجٌۭمَّاتَحْذَرُونَ
taḥdharūnamāmukh'rijunl-lahainnais'tahziūquliqulūbihimfībimātunabbi-uhumsūratunʿalayhimtunazzalaanl-munāfiqūnayaḥdharu
Fearthe hypocriteslestbe revealedabout thema Surahinforming themof what(is) intheir heartsSayMockindeedAllah(will) bring forthwhatyou fear
9:64
وَلَئِنسَأَلْتَهُمْلَيَقُولُنَّإِنَّمَاكُنَّانَخُوضُوَنَلْعَبُ ۚقُلْأَبِٱللَّهِوَءَايَـٰتِهِۦوَرَسُولِهِۦكُنتُمْتَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
tastahziūnakuntumwarasūlihiwaāyātihiabil-lahiqulwanalʿabunakhūḍukunnāinnamālayaqūlunnasa-altahumwala-in
And ifyou ask themsurely they will sayOnlywe wereconversingand playingSayIs it Allahand His Versesand His Messenger(that) you weremocking
9:65
لَاتَعْتَذِرُوا۟قَدْكَفَرْتُمبَعْدَإِيمَـٰنِكُمْ ۚإِننَّعْفُعَنطَآئِفَةٍۢمِّنكُمْنُعَذِّبْطَآئِفَةًۢبِأَنَّهُمْكَانُوا۟مُجْرِمِينَ
muj'rimīnakānūbi-annahumṭāifatannuʿadhibminkumṭāifatinʿannaʿfuinīmānikumbaʿdakafartumqadtaʿtadhirūlā
(Do) notmake excuseverilyyou have disbelievedafteryour beliefIfWe pardon[on]a partyof youWe will punisha partybecause theywerecriminals
9:66
ٱلْمُنَـٰفِقُونَوَٱلْمُنَـٰفِقَـٰتُبَعْضُهُممِّنۢبَعْضٍۢ ۚيَأْمُرُونَبِٱلْمُنكَرِوَيَنْهَوْنَعَنِٱلْمَعْرُوفِوَيَقْبِضُونَأَيْدِيَهُمْ ۚنَسُوا۟ٱللَّهَفَنَسِيَهُمْ ۗإِنَّٱلْمُنَـٰفِقِينَهُمُٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَ
l-fāsiqūnahumul-munāfiqīnainnafanasiyahuml-lahanasūaydiyahumwayaqbiḍūnal-maʿrūfiʿaniwayanhawnabil-munkariyamurūnabaʿḍinminbaʿḍuhumwal-munāfiqātual-munāfiqūna
The hypocrite menand the hypocrite womensome of them(are) ofothersThey enjointhe wrongand forbidwhat(is) the rightand they closetheir handsThey forgetAllahso He has forgotten themIndeedthe hypocritesthey (are)the defiantly disobedient
9:67
وَعَدَٱللَّهُٱلْمُنَـٰفِقِينَوَٱلْمُنَـٰفِقَـٰتِوَٱلْكُفَّارَنَارَجَهَنَّمَخَـٰلِدِينَفِيهَا ۚهِىَحَسْبُهُمْ ۚوَلَعَنَهُمُٱللَّهُ ۖوَلَهُمْعَذَابٌۭمُّقِيمٌۭ
muqīmunʿadhābunwalahuml-lahuwalaʿanahumuḥasbuhumhiyafīhākhālidīnajahannamanārawal-kufārawal-munāfiqātil-munāfiqīnal-lahuwaʿada
Allah has promisedAllah has promisedthe hypocrite menand the hypocrite womenand the disbelieversFire(of) Hellthey (will) abide foreverin itIt (is)sufficient for themAnd Allah has cursed themAnd Allah has cursed themand for them(is) a punishmentenduring
9:68
كَٱلَّذِينَمِنقَبْلِكُمْكَانُوٓا۟أَشَدَّمِنكُمْقُوَّةًۭوَأَكْثَرَأَمْوَٰلًۭاوَأَوْلَـٰدًۭافَٱسْتَمْتَعُوا۟بِخَلَـٰقِهِمْفَٱسْتَمْتَعْتُمبِخَلَـٰقِكُمْكَمَاٱسْتَمْتَعَٱلَّذِينَمِنقَبْلِكُمبِخَلَـٰقِهِمْوَخُضْتُمْكَٱلَّذِىخَاضُوٓا۟ ۚأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَحَبِطَتْأَعْمَـٰلُهُمْفِىٱلدُّنْيَاوَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۖوَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْخَـٰسِرُونَ
l-khāsirūnahumuwa-ulāikawal-ākhiratil-dun'yāfīaʿmāluhumḥabiṭatulāikakhāḍūka-alladhīwakhuḍ'tumbikhalāqihimqablikumminalladhīnais'tamtaʿakamābikhalāqikumfa-is'tamtaʿtumbikhalāqihimfa-is'tamtaʿūwa-awlādanamwālanwa-aktharaquwwatanminkumashaddakānūqablikumminka-alladhīna
Like thosebefore youbefore youthey weremightierthan you(in) strengthand more abundant(in) wealthand childrenSo they enjoyedtheir portionand you have enjoyedyour portionlikeenjoyedthosebefore youbefore youtheir portionand you indulgelike the one whoindulges (in idle talk)Thoseworthless(are) their deedsinthe worldand (in) the HereafterAnd thosethey(are) the losers
9:69
أَلَمْيَأْتِهِمْنَبَأُٱلَّذِينَمِنقَبْلِهِمْقَوْمِنُوحٍۢوَعَادٍۢوَثَمُودَوَقَوْمِإِبْرَٰهِيمَوَأَصْحَـٰبِمَدْيَنَوَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَـٰتِ ۚأَتَتْهُمْرُسُلُهُمبِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ ۖفَمَاكَانَٱللَّهُلِيَظْلِمَهُمْوَلَـٰكِنكَانُوٓا۟أَنفُسَهُمْيَظْلِمُونَ
yaẓlimūnaanfusahumkānūwalākinliyaẓlimahuml-lahukānafamābil-bayinātirusuluhumatathumwal-mu'tafikātimadyanawa-aṣḥābiib'rāhīmawaqawmiwathamūdawaʿādinnūḥinqawmiqablihimminalladhīnanaba-uyatihimalam
Has notcome to them(the) news(of) those who(were) before them(were) before them(the) people(of) Nuhand Aadand Thamudand (the) people(of) Ibrahimand (the) companions(of) Madyanand the towns overturnedCame to themtheir Messengerswith clear proofsAnd notwasAllahto wrong thembutthey were (to)themselvesdoing wrong
9:70
وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَوَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتُبَعْضُهُمْأَوْلِيَآءُبَعْضٍۢ ۚيَأْمُرُونَبِٱلْمَعْرُوفِوَيَنْهَوْنَعَنِٱلْمُنكَرِوَيُقِيمُونَٱلصَّلَوٰةَوَيُؤْتُونَٱلزَّكَوٰةَوَيُطِيعُونَٱللَّهَوَرَسُولَهُۥٓ ۚأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَسَيَرْحَمُهُمُٱللَّهُ ۗإِنَّٱللَّهَعَزِيزٌحَكِيمٌۭ
ḥakīmunʿazīzunl-lahainnal-lahusayarḥamuhumuulāikawarasūlahul-lahawayuṭīʿūnal-zakatawayu'tūnal-ṣalatawayuqīmūnal-munkariʿaniwayanhawnabil-maʿrūfiyamurūnabaʿḍinawliyāubaʿḍuhumwal-mu'minātuwal-mu'minūna
And the believing menand the believing womensome of them(are) allies(of) othersThey enjointhe rightand forbidfromthe wrongand they establishthe prayerand givethe zakahand they obeyAllahand His MessengerThoseAllah will have mercy on themAllah will have mercy on themIndeedAllah(is) All-MightyAll-Wise
9:71
وَعَدَٱللَّهُٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَوَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِجَنَّـٰتٍۢتَجْرِىمِنتَحْتِهَاٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُخَـٰلِدِينَفِيهَاوَمَسَـٰكِنَطَيِّبَةًۭفِىجَنَّـٰتِعَدْنٍۢ ۚوَرِضْوَٰنٌۭمِّنَٱللَّهِأَكْبَرُ ۚذَٰلِكَهُوَٱلْفَوْزُٱلْعَظِيمُ
l-ʿaẓīmul-fawzuhuwadhālikaakbarul-lahiminawariḍ'wānunʿadninjannātifīṭayyibatanwamasākinafīhākhālidīnal-anhārutaḥtihāmintajrījannātinwal-mu'minātil-mu'minīnal-lahuwaʿada
(Has been) promised(by) Allah(to) the believing menand the believing womenGardensflowfromunderneath itthe rivers(will) abide foreverin itand dwellingsblessedinGardens(of) everlasting blissBut the pleasureofAllah(is) greaterThatit(is) the successgreat
9:72
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلنَّبِىُّجَـٰهِدِٱلْكُفَّارَوَٱلْمُنَـٰفِقِينَوَٱغْلُظْعَلَيْهِمْ ۚوَمَأْوَىٰهُمْجَهَنَّمُ ۖوَبِئْسَٱلْمَصِيرُ
l-maṣīruwabi'sajahannamuwamawāhumʿalayhimwa-ugh'luẓwal-munāfiqīnal-kufārajāhidil-nabiyuyāayyuhā
O ProphetO ProphetStrive (against)the disbelieversand the hypocritesand be sternwith themAnd their abode(is) Helland wretched(is) the destination
9:73
يَحْلِفُونَبِٱللَّهِمَاقَالُوا۟وَلَقَدْقَالُوا۟كَلِمَةَٱلْكُفْرِوَكَفَرُوا۟بَعْدَإِسْلَـٰمِهِمْوَهَمُّوا۟بِمَالَمْيَنَالُوا۟ ۚوَمَانَقَمُوٓا۟إِلَّآأَنْأَغْنَىٰهُمُٱللَّهُوَرَسُولُهُۥمِنفَضْلِهِۦ ۚفَإِنيَتُوبُوا۟يَكُخَيْرًۭالَّهُمْ ۖوَإِنيَتَوَلَّوْا۟يُعَذِّبْهُمُٱللَّهُعَذَابًاأَلِيمًۭافِىٱلدُّنْيَاوَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۚوَمَالَهُمْفِىٱلْأَرْضِمِنوَلِىٍّۢوَلَانَصِيرٍۢ
naṣīrinwalāwaliyyinminl-arḍifīlahumwamāwal-ākhiratil-dun'yāfīalīmanʿadhābanl-lahuyuʿadhib'humuyatawallawwa-inlahumkhayranyakuyatūbūfa-infaḍlihiminwarasūluhul-lahuaghnāhumuanillānaqamūwamāyanālūlambimāwahammūis'lāmihimbaʿdawakafarūl-kuf'rikalimataqālūwalaqadqālūmābil-lahiyaḥlifūna
They swearby Allah(that) they said nothing(that) they said nothingwhile certainlythey said(the) word(of) the disbeliefand disbelievedaftertheir (pretense of) Islamand planned[of] whatnotthey could attainAnd notthey were resentfulexceptthatAllah had enriched themAllah had enriched themand His MessengerofHis BountySo ifthey repentit isbetterfor themand ifthey turn awayAllah will punish themAllah will punish them(with) a punishmentpainfulinthe worldand (in) the HereafterAnd notfor theminthe earthanyprotectorand nota helper
9:74
۞ وَمِنْهُممَّنْعَـٰهَدَٱللَّهَلَئِنْءَاتَىٰنَامِنفَضْلِهِۦلَنَصَّدَّقَنَّوَلَنَكُونَنَّمِنَٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
l-ṣāliḥīnaminawalanakūnannalanaṣṣaddaqannafaḍlihiminātānāla-inl-lahaʿāhadamanwamin'hum
And among them(is he) whomade a covenant(with) AllahIfHe gives usofHis bountysurely we will give charityand surely we will beamongthe righteous
9:75
فَلَمَّآءَاتَىٰهُممِّنفَضْلِهِۦبَخِلُوا۟بِهِۦوَتَوَلَّوا۟وَّهُممُّعْرِضُونَ
muʿ'riḍūnawahumwatawallawbihibakhilūfaḍlihiminātāhumfalammā
But whenHe gave themofHis Bountythey became stingywith itand turned awaywhile they(were) averse
9:76
فَأَعْقَبَهُمْنِفَاقًۭافِىقُلُوبِهِمْإِلَىٰيَوْمِيَلْقَوْنَهُۥبِمَآأَخْلَفُوا۟ٱللَّهَمَاوَعَدُوهُوَبِمَاكَانُوا۟يَكْذِبُونَ
yakdhibūnakānūwabimāwaʿadūhumāl-lahaakhlafūbimāyalqawnahuyawmiilāqulūbihimfīnifāqanfa-aʿqabahum
So He penalized them(with) hypocrisyintheir heartsuntilthe daywhen they will meet Himbecausethey broke(the covenant with) Allahwhatthey had promised Himand becausethey used tolie
9:77
أَلَمْيَعْلَمُوٓا۟أَنَّٱللَّهَيَعْلَمُسِرَّهُمْوَنَجْوَىٰهُمْوَأَنَّٱللَّهَعَلَّـٰمُٱلْغُيُوبِ
l-ghuyūbiʿallāmul-lahawa-annawanajwāhumsirrahumyaʿlamul-lahaannayaʿlamūalam
Do notthey knowthatAllahknowstheir secretand their secret conversationand thatAllah(is) All-Knower(of) the unseen
9:78
ٱلَّذِينَيَلْمِزُونَٱلْمُطَّوِّعِينَمِنَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَفِىٱلصَّدَقَـٰتِوَٱلَّذِينَلَايَجِدُونَإِلَّاجُهْدَهُمْفَيَسْخَرُونَمِنْهُمْ ۙسَخِرَٱللَّهُمِنْهُمْوَلَهُمْعَذَابٌأَلِيمٌ
alīmunʿadhābunwalahummin'huml-lahusakhiramin'humfayaskharūnajuh'dahumillāyajidūnalāwa-alladhīnal-ṣadaqātifīl-mu'minīnaminal-muṭawiʿīnayalmizūnaalladhīna
Those whocriticizethe ones who give willinglyofthe believersconcerningthe charitiesand those whonotfindexcepttheir effortso they ridiculethemAllah will ridiculeAllah will ridiculethemand for them(is) a punishmentpainful
9:79
ٱسْتَغْفِرْلَهُمْأَوْلَاتَسْتَغْفِرْلَهُمْإِنتَسْتَغْفِرْلَهُمْسَبْعِينَمَرَّةًۭفَلَنيَغْفِرَٱللَّهُلَهُمْ ۚذَٰلِكَبِأَنَّهُمْكَفَرُوا۟بِٱللَّهِوَرَسُولِهِۦ ۗوَٱللَّهُلَايَهْدِىٱلْقَوْمَٱلْفَـٰسِقِينَ
l-fāsiqīnal-qawmayahdīlāwal-lahuwarasūlihibil-lahikafarūbi-annahumdhālikalahuml-lahuyaghfirafalanmarratansabʿīnalahumtastaghfirinlahumtastaghfirlāawlahumis'taghfir
Ask forgivenessfor themor(do) notask forgivenessfor themIfyou ask forgivenessfor themseventytimesneverwill Allah forgivewill Allah forgive[for] themThat(is) because theydisbelievedin Allahand His Messengerand Allah(does) notguidethe peoplethe defiantly disobedient
9:80
فَرِحَٱلْمُخَلَّفُونَبِمَقْعَدِهِمْخِلَـٰفَرَسُولِٱللَّهِوَكَرِهُوٓا۟أَنيُجَـٰهِدُوا۟بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْوَأَنفُسِهِمْفِىسَبِيلِٱللَّهِوَقَالُوا۟لَاتَنفِرُوا۟فِىٱلْحَرِّ ۗقُلْنَارُجَهَنَّمَأَشَدُّحَرًّۭا ۚلَّوْكَانُوا۟يَفْقَهُونَ
yafqahūnakānūlawḥarranashaddujahannamanāruqull-ḥarifītanfirūlāwaqālūl-lahisabīlifīwa-anfusihimbi-amwālihimyujāhidūanwakarihūl-lahirasūlikhilāfabimaqʿadihiml-mukhalafūnafariḥa
Rejoicethose who remained behindin their stayingbehind(the) Messenger(of) Allahand they dislikedtostrivewith their wealthand their livesin(the) way(of) Allahand they said(Do) notgo forthinthe heatSay(The) Fire(of) Hell(is) more intense(in) heatIf (only)they couldunderstand
9:81
فَلْيَضْحَكُوا۟قَلِيلًۭاوَلْيَبْكُوا۟كَثِيرًۭاجَزَآءًۢبِمَاكَانُوا۟يَكْسِبُونَ
yaksibūnakānūbimājazāankathīranwalyabkūqalīlanfalyaḍḥakū
So let them laugha littleand let them weepmuch(as) a recompensefor whatthey used toearn
9:82
فَإِنرَّجَعَكَٱللَّهُإِلَىٰطَآئِفَةٍۢمِّنْهُمْفَٱسْتَـْٔذَنُوكَلِلْخُرُوجِفَقُللَّنتَخْرُجُوا۟مَعِىَأَبَدًۭاوَلَنتُقَـٰتِلُوا۟مَعِىَعَدُوًّا ۖإِنَّكُمْرَضِيتُمبِٱلْقُعُودِأَوَّلَمَرَّةٍۢفَٱقْعُدُوا۟مَعَٱلْخَـٰلِفِينَ
l-khālifīnamaʿafa-uq'ʿudūmarratinawwalabil-quʿūdiraḍītuminnakumʿaduwwanmaʿiyatuqātilūwalanabadanmaʿiyatakhrujūlanfaqullil'khurūjifa-is'tadhanūkamin'humṭāifatinilāl-lahurajaʿakafa-in
Then ifAllah returns youAllah returns youtoa groupof themand they ask you permissionto go outthen sayNeverwill you come outwith meeverand neverwill you fightwith meany enemyIndeed, youwere satisfiedwith sitting(the) firsttimeso sitwiththose who stay behind
9:83
وَلَاتُصَلِّعَلَىٰٓأَحَدٍۢمِّنْهُممَّاتَأَبَدًۭاوَلَاتَقُمْعَلَىٰقَبْرِهِۦٓ ۖإِنَّهُمْكَفَرُوا۟بِٱللَّهِوَرَسُولِهِۦوَمَاتُوا۟وَهُمْفَـٰسِقُونَ
fāsiqūnawahumwamātūwarasūlihibil-lahikafarūinnahumqabrihiʿalātaqumwalāabadanmātamin'humaḥadinʿalātuṣalliwalā
And notyou prayforanyof themwho dieseverand notyou standbyhis graveIndeed, theydisbelievedin Allahand His Messengerand diedwhile they weredefiantly disobedient
9:84
وَلَاتُعْجِبْكَأَمْوَٰلُهُمْوَأَوْلَـٰدُهُمْ ۚإِنَّمَايُرِيدُٱللَّهُأَنيُعَذِّبَهُمبِهَافِىٱلدُّنْيَاوَتَزْهَقَأَنفُسُهُمْوَهُمْكَـٰفِرُونَ
kāfirūnawahumanfusuhumwatazhaqal-dun'yāfībihāyuʿadhibahumanl-lahuyurīduinnamāwa-awlāduhumamwāluhumtuʿ'jib'kawalā
And (let) notimpress youtheir wealthand their childrenOnlyAllah intendsAllah intendstopunish themwith itinthe worldand will departtheir soulswhile they(are) disbelievers
9:85
وَإِذَآأُنزِلَتْسُورَةٌأَنْءَامِنُوا۟بِٱللَّهِوَجَـٰهِدُوا۟مَعَرَسُولِهِٱسْتَـْٔذَنَكَأُو۟لُوا۟ٱلطَّوْلِمِنْهُمْوَقَالُوا۟ذَرْنَانَكُنمَّعَٱلْقَـٰعِدِينَ
l-qāʿidīnamaʿanakundharnāwaqālūmin'huml-ṭawliulūis'tadhanakarasūlihimaʿawajāhidūbil-lahiāminūansūratununzilatwa-idhā
And whenwas revealeda Surahthatbelievein Allahand strivewithHis Messengerask your permission(the) men(of) wealthamong themand saidLeave us(to) bewiththose who sit
9:86
رَضُوا۟بِأَنيَكُونُوا۟مَعَٱلْخَوَالِفِوَطُبِعَعَلَىٰقُلُوبِهِمْفَهُمْلَايَفْقَهُونَ
yafqahūnalāfahumqulūbihimʿalāwaṭubiʿal-khawālifimaʿayakūnūbi-anraḍū
They (were) satisfiedtobewiththose who stay behindand were sealed[on]their heartsso they(do) notunderstand
9:87
لَـٰكِنِٱلرَّسُولُوَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟مَعَهُۥجَـٰهَدُوا۟بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْوَأَنفُسِهِمْ ۚوَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَلَهُمُٱلْخَيْرَٰتُ ۖوَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ
l-muf'liḥūnahumuwa-ulāikal-khayrātulahumuwa-ulāikawa-anfusihimbi-amwālihimjāhadūmaʿahuāmanūwa-alladhīnal-rasūlulākini
Butthe Messengerand those whobelievedwith himstrovewith their wealthand their livesAnd thosefor them(are) the good thingsand those they(are) the successful ones
9:88
أَعَدَّٱللَّهُلَهُمْجَنَّـٰتٍۢتَجْرِىمِنتَحْتِهَاٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُخَـٰلِدِينَفِيهَا ۚذَٰلِكَٱلْفَوْزُٱلْعَظِيمُ
l-ʿaẓīmul-fawzudhālikafīhākhālidīnal-anhārutaḥtihāmintajrījannātinlahuml-lahuaʿadda
Allah has preparedAllah has preparedfor themGardensflowsfromunderneath itthe rivers(will) abide foreverin itThat(is) the successthe great
9:89
وَجَآءَٱلْمُعَذِّرُونَمِنَٱلْأَعْرَابِلِيُؤْذَنَلَهُمْوَقَعَدَٱلَّذِينَكَذَبُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَرَسُولَهُۥ ۚسَيُصِيبُٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟مِنْهُمْعَذَابٌأَلِيمٌۭ
alīmunʿadhābunmin'humkafarūalladhīnasayuṣībuwarasūlahul-lahakadhabūalladhīnawaqaʿadalahumliyu'dhanal-aʿrābiminal-muʿadhirūnawajāa
And camethe ones who make excusesofthe bedouinsthat permission be grantedto themand satthose wholied(to) Allahand His MessengerWill strikethose whodisbelievedamong thema punishmentpainful
9:90
لَّيْسَعَلَىٱلضُّعَفَآءِوَلَاعَلَىٱلْمَرْضَىٰوَلَاعَلَىٱلَّذِينَلَايَجِدُونَمَايُنفِقُونَحَرَجٌإِذَانَصَحُوا۟لِلَّهِوَرَسُولِهِۦ ۚمَاعَلَىٱلْمُحْسِنِينَمِنسَبِيلٍۢ ۚوَٱللَّهُغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunghafūrunwal-lahusabīlinminl-muḥ'sinīnaʿalāmāwarasūlihilillahinaṣaḥūidhāḥarajunyunfiqūnamāyajidūnalāalladhīnaʿalāwalāl-marḍāʿalāwalāl-ḍuʿafāiʿalālaysa
Notonthe weakand notonthe sickand notonthose whonotthey findwhatthey (can) spendany blameifthey (are) sincereto Allahand His MessengerNot(is) onthe good-doersanyway (for blame)And Allah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
9:91
وَلَاعَلَىٱلَّذِينَإِذَامَآأَتَوْكَلِتَحْمِلَهُمْقُلْتَلَآأَجِدُمَآأَحْمِلُكُمْعَلَيْهِتَوَلَّوا۟وَّأَعْيُنُهُمْتَفِيضُمِنَٱلدَّمْعِحَزَنًاأَلَّايَجِدُوا۟مَايُنفِقُونَ
yunfiqūnamāyajidūallāḥazananl-damʿiminatafīḍuwa-aʿyunuhumtawallawʿalayhiaḥmilukummāajidulāqul'talitaḥmilahumatawkamāidhāalladhīnaʿalāwalā
And notonthose whowhenwhenthey came to youthat you provide them with mountsyou saidNotI findwhatto mount youon [it]They turned backwith their eyesflowing[of](with) the tears(of) sorrowthat notthey findwhatthey (could) spend
9:92
