Basmala
۞ وَمَامِندَآبَّةٍۢفِىٱلْأَرْضِإِلَّاعَلَىٱللَّهِرِزْقُهَاوَيَعْلَمُمُسْتَقَرَّهَاوَمُسْتَوْدَعَهَا ۚكُلٌّۭفِىكِتَـٰبٍۢمُّبِينٍۢ
mubīninkitābinfīkullunwamus'tawdaʿahāmus'taqarrahāwayaʿlamuriz'quhāl-lahiʿalāillāl-arḍifīdābbatinminwamā
And notanymoving creatureinthe earthbutonAllah(is) its provisionAnd He knowsits dwelling placeand its place of storageAll(is) ina Recordclear
11:6
وَهُوَٱلَّذِىخَلَقَٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضَفِىسِتَّةِأَيَّامٍۢوَكَانَعَرْشُهُۥعَلَىٱلْمَآءِلِيَبْلُوَكُمْأَيُّكُمْأَحْسَنُعَمَلًۭا ۗوَلَئِنقُلْتَإِنَّكُممَّبْعُوثُونَمِنۢبَعْدِٱلْمَوْتِلَيَقُولَنَّٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوٓا۟إِنْهَـٰذَآإِلَّاسِحْرٌۭمُّبِينٌۭ
mubīnunsiḥ'runillāhādhāinkafarūalladhīnalayaqūlannal-mawtibaʿdiminmabʿūthūnainnakumqul'tawala-inʿamalanaḥsanuayyukumliyabluwakuml-māiʿalāʿarshuhuwakānaayyāminsittatifīwal-arḍal-samāwātikhalaqaalladhīwahuwa
And He(is) the One Whocreatedthe heavensand the earthinsixepochsand His throne wasand His throne wasonthe waterthat He might test [you]which of you(is) best(in) deedBut ifyou sayIndeed, you(will be) resurrectedafterafter[the] deathsurely would saythose whodisbelievedThis is notThis is notbuta magicclear
11:7
وَلَئِنْأَخَّرْنَاعَنْهُمُٱلْعَذَابَإِلَىٰٓأُمَّةٍۢمَّعْدُودَةٍۢلَّيَقُولُنَّمَايَحْبِسُهُۥٓ ۗأَلَايَوْمَيَأْتِيهِمْلَيْسَمَصْرُوفًاعَنْهُمْوَحَاقَبِهِممَّاكَانُوا۟بِهِۦيَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
yastahziūnabihikānūmābihimwaḥāqaʿanhummaṣrūfanlaysayatīhimyawmaalāyaḥbisuhumālayaqūlunnamaʿdūdatinummatinilāl-ʿadhābaʿanhumuakharnāwala-in
And ifWe delayfrom themthe punishmentfora timedeterminedthey will surely sayWhatdetains itNo doubt(On) the Dayit comes to themnot(will be) avertedfrom themand will surroundthemwhatthey used (to)mock at [it]mock at [it]
11:8
وَلَئِنْأَذَقْنَاٱلْإِنسَـٰنَمِنَّارَحْمَةًۭثُمَّنَزَعْنَـٰهَامِنْهُإِنَّهُۥلَيَـُٔوسٌۭكَفُورٌۭ
kafūrunlayaūsuninnahumin'hunazaʿnāhāthummaraḥmatanminnāl-insānaadhaqnāwala-in
And ifWe give man a tasteWe give man a taste(of) Mercy from Us(of) Mercy from UsthenWe withdraw itfrom himindeed, he(is) despairing(and) ungrateful
11:9
وَلَئِنْأَذَقْنَـٰهُنَعْمَآءَبَعْدَضَرَّآءَمَسَّتْهُلَيَقُولَنَّذَهَبَٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتُعَنِّىٓ ۚإِنَّهُۥلَفَرِحٌۭفَخُورٌ
fakhūrunlafariḥuninnahuʿannīl-sayiātudhahabalayaqūlannamassathuḍarrāabaʿdanaʿmāaadhaqnāhuwala-in
But ifWe give him a taste(of) favorafterhardship(has) touched himsurely, he will sayHave gonethe evilsfrom meIndeed, he(is) exultant(and) boastful
11:10
إِلَّاٱلَّذِينَصَبَرُوا۟وَعَمِلُوا۟ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَلَهُممَّغْفِرَةٌۭوَأَجْرٌۭكَبِيرٌۭ
kabīrunwa-ajrunmaghfiratunlahumulāikal-ṣāliḥātiwaʿamilūṣabarūalladhīnaillā
Exceptthose who(are) patientand dothe good deedsthosefor them(will be) forgivenessand a rewardgreat
11:11
فَلَعَلَّكَتَارِكٌۢبَعْضَمَايُوحَىٰٓإِلَيْكَوَضَآئِقٌۢبِهِۦصَدْرُكَأَنيَقُولُوا۟لَوْلَآأُنزِلَعَلَيْهِكَنزٌأَوْجَآءَمَعَهُۥمَلَكٌ ۚإِنَّمَآأَنتَنَذِيرٌۭ ۚوَٱللَّهُعَلَىٰكُلِّشَىْءٍۢوَكِيلٌ
wakīlunshayinkulliʿalāwal-lahunadhīrunantainnamāmalakunmaʿahujāaawkanzunʿalayhiunzilalawlāyaqūlūanṣadrukabihiwaḍāiqunilaykayūḥāmābaʿḍatārikunfalaʿallaka
Then possibly you(may) give upa part(of) whatis revealedto youand straitenedby ityour breastbecausethey sayWhy notis sent downfor hima treasureorhas comewith himan AngelOnlyyou(are) a warnerAnd Allah(is) oneverythinga Guardian
11:12
أَمْيَقُولُونَافْتَرَاهُ ۖقُلْفَأْتُوا۟بِعَشْرِسُوَرٍۢمِّثْلِهِۦمُفْتَرَيَـٰتٍۢوَٱدْعُوا۟مَنِٱسْتَطَعْتُممِّندُونِٱللَّهِإِنكُنتُمْصَـٰدِقِينَ
ṣādiqīnakuntuminl-lahidūniminis'taṭaʿtummaniwa-id'ʿūmuf'tarayātinmith'lihisuwarinbiʿashrifatūqulif'tarāhuyaqūlūnaam
Orthey sayHe has fabricated itSayThen bringtenSurahslike itfabricatedand callwhoeveryou canbesides Allahbesides Allahbesides Allahifyou aretruthful
11:13
فَإِلَّمْيَسْتَجِيبُوا۟لَكُمْفَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟أَنَّمَآأُنزِلَبِعِلْمِٱللَّهِوَأَنلَّآإِلَـٰهَإِلَّاهُوَ ۖفَهَلْأَنتُممُّسْلِمُونَ
mus'limūnaantumfahalhuwaillāilāhalāwa-anl-lahibiʿil'miunzilaannamāfa-iʿ'lamūlakumyastajībūfa-illam
Then if notthey respondto youthen knowthatit was sent downwith the knowledge of Allahwith the knowledge of Allahand that(there is) nogodexceptHimThen, wouldyou(be) Muslims
11:14
مَنكَانَيُرِيدُٱلْحَيَوٰةَٱلدُّنْيَاوَزِينَتَهَانُوَفِّإِلَيْهِمْأَعْمَـٰلَهُمْفِيهَاوَهُمْفِيهَالَايُبْخَسُونَ
yub'khasūnalāfīhāwahumfīhāaʿmālahumilayhimnuwaffiwazīnatahāl-dun'yāl-ḥayatayurīdukānaman
Whoever [is]Whoever [is]desiresthe life(of) the worldand its adornmentsWe will repay in fullto them(for) their deedsthereinand theyin itwill not be lessenedwill not be lessened
11:15
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَٱلَّذِينَلَيْسَلَهُمْفِىٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِإِلَّاٱلنَّارُ ۖوَحَبِطَمَاصَنَعُوا۟فِيهَاوَبَـٰطِلٌۭمَّاكَانُوا۟يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnakānūmāwabāṭilunfīhāṣanaʿūmāwaḥabiṭal-nāruillāl-ākhiratifīlahumlaysaalladhīnaulāika
Those(are) the ones who (is) notfor theminthe Hereafterexceptthe FireAnd (has) gone in vainwhatthey didthereinand (is) worthlesswhatthey used (to)do
11:16
أَفَمَنكَانَعَلَىٰبَيِّنَةٍۢمِّنرَّبِّهِۦوَيَتْلُوهُشَاهِدٌۭمِّنْهُوَمِنقَبْلِهِۦكِتَـٰبُمُوسَىٰٓإِمَامًۭاوَرَحْمَةً ۚأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَيُؤْمِنُونَبِهِۦ ۚوَمَنيَكْفُرْبِهِۦمِنَٱلْأَحْزَابِفَٱلنَّارُمَوْعِدُهُۥ ۚفَلَاتَكُفِىمِرْيَةٍۢمِّنْهُ ۚإِنَّهُٱلْحَقُّمِنرَّبِّكَوَلَـٰكِنَّأَكْثَرَٱلنَّاسِلَايُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūnalāl-nāsiaktharawalākinnarabbikaminl-ḥaquinnahumin'humir'yatinfītakufalāmawʿiduhufal-nārul-aḥzābiminabihiyakfurwamanbihiyu'minūnaulāikawaraḥmatanimāmanmūsākitābuqablihiwaminmin'hushāhidunwayatlūhurabbihiminbayyinatinʿalākānaafaman
Then is he whoisona clear prooffromhis Lordand recites ita witnessfrom Himand before itand before it(was) a Book(of) Musa(as) a guideand (as) mercyThosebelievein itBut whoeverdisbelievesin itamongthe sectsthen the Fire(will be) his promised (meeting) placeSo (do) notbeindoubtabout itIndeed, it(is) the truthfromyour Lordbutmost(of) the people(do) notbelieve
11:17
وَمَنْأَظْلَمُمِمَّنِٱفْتَرَىٰعَلَىٱللَّهِكَذِبًا ۚأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَيُعْرَضُونَعَلَىٰرَبِّهِمْوَيَقُولُٱلْأَشْهَـٰدُهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِٱلَّذِينَكَذَبُوا۟عَلَىٰرَبِّهِمْ ۚأَلَالَعْنَةُٱللَّهِعَلَىٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnaʿalāl-lahilaʿnatualārabbihimʿalākadhabūalladhīnahāulāil-ashhāduwayaqūlurabbihimʿalāyuʿ'raḍūnaulāikakadhibanl-lahiʿalāif'tarāmimmaniaẓlamuwaman
And who(is) more unjustthan (he) whoinventsagainstAllaha lieThosewill be presentedbeforetheir Lordand will saythe witnessesThese (are)those wholiedagainsttheir LordNo doubt(The) curse of Allah(The) curse of Allah(is) onthe wrongdoers
11:18
ٱلَّذِينَيَصُدُّونَعَنسَبِيلِٱللَّهِوَيَبْغُونَهَاعِوَجًۭاوَهُمبِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِهُمْكَـٰفِرُونَ
kāfirūnahumbil-ākhiratiwahumʿiwajanwayabghūnahāl-lahisabīliʿanyaṣuddūnaalladhīna
Those whohinderfrom(the) way(of) Allahand seek (in) itcrookednesswhile theyin the Hereafter[they](are) disbelievers
11:19
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَلَمْيَكُونُوا۟مُعْجِزِينَفِىٱلْأَرْضِوَمَاكَانَلَهُممِّندُونِٱللَّهِمِنْأَوْلِيَآءَ ۘيُضَـٰعَفُلَهُمُٱلْعَذَابُ ۚمَاكَانُوا۟يَسْتَطِيعُونَٱلسَّمْعَوَمَاكَانُوا۟يُبْصِرُونَ
yub'ṣirūnakānūwamāl-samʿayastaṭīʿūnakānūmāl-ʿadhābulahumuyuḍāʿafuawliyāaminl-lahidūniminlahumkānawamāl-arḍifīmuʿ'jizīnayakūnūlamulāika
Thosenotwill be(able to) escapeinthe earthand notisfor thembesidesbesidesAllahanyprotectorsAnd will be doubledfor themthe punishmentNotthey wereable(to) hearand notthey used (to)see
11:20
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَٱلَّذِينَخَسِرُوٓا۟أَنفُسَهُمْوَضَلَّعَنْهُممَّاكَانُوا۟يَفْتَرُونَ
yaftarūnakānūmāʿanhumwaḍallaanfusahumkhasirūalladhīnaulāika
Those(are) the ones who(have) losttheir soulsand lostfrom them(is) whatthey used(to) invent
11:21
لَاجَرَمَأَنَّهُمْفِىٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِهُمُٱلْأَخْسَرُونَ
l-akhsarūnahumul-ākhiratifīannahumjaramalā
Nodoubtthat theyinthe Hereafter[they](will be) the greatest losers
11:22
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَعَمِلُوا۟ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِوَأَخْبَتُوٓا۟إِلَىٰرَبِّهِمْأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَأَصْحَـٰبُٱلْجَنَّةِ ۖهُمْفِيهَاخَـٰلِدُونَ
khālidūnafīhāhuml-janatiaṣḥābuulāikarabbihimilāwa-akhbatūl-ṣāliḥātiwaʿamilūāmanūalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whobelieveand dogood deedsand humble themselvesbeforetheir Lordthose(are the) companions(of) Paradisetheyin it(will) abide forever
11:23
۞ مَثَلُٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِكَٱلْأَعْمَىٰوَٱلْأَصَمِّوَٱلْبَصِيرِوَٱلسَّمِيعِ ۚهَلْيَسْتَوِيَانِمَثَلًا ۚأَفَلَاتَذَكَّرُونَ
tadhakkarūnaafalāmathalanyastawiyānihalwal-samīʿiwal-baṣīriwal-aṣamikal-aʿmāl-farīqaynimathalu
(The) example(of) the two parties(is) like the blindand the deafand the seerand the hearerArethey equal(in) comparisonThen, will notyou take heed
11:24
وَلَقَدْأَرْسَلْنَانُوحًاإِلَىٰقَوْمِهِۦٓإِنِّىلَكُمْنَذِيرٌۭمُّبِينٌ
mubīnunnadhīrunlakuminnīqawmihiilānūḥanarsalnāwalaqad
And verilyWe sentNuhtohis peopleIndeed, I amto youa warnerclear
11:25
أَنلَّاتَعْبُدُوٓا۟إِلَّاٱللَّهَ ۖإِنِّىٓأَخَافُعَلَيْكُمْعَذَابَيَوْمٍأَلِيمٍۢ
alīminyawminʿadhābaʿalaykumakhāfuinnīl-lahaillātaʿbudūlāan
That(do) notworshipexceptAllahIndeed, I[I] fearfor you(the) punishment(of) a Daypainful
11:26
فَقَالَٱلْمَلَأُٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟مِنقَوْمِهِۦمَانَرَىٰكَإِلَّابَشَرًۭامِّثْلَنَاوَمَانَرَىٰكَٱتَّبَعَكَإِلَّاٱلَّذِينَهُمْأَرَاذِلُنَابَادِىَٱلرَّأْىِوَمَانَرَىٰلَكُمْعَلَيْنَامِنفَضْلٍۭبَلْنَظُنُّكُمْكَـٰذِبِينَ
kādhibīnanaẓunnukumbalfaḍlinminʿalaynālakumnarāwamāl-rayibādiyaarādhilunāhumalladhīnaillāittabaʿakanarākawamāmith'lanābasharanillānarākamāqawmihiminkafarūalladhīnal-mala-ufaqāla
So saidthe chiefs(of) those whodisbelievedfromhis peopleNotwe see youbuta manlike usand notwe see youfollowed [you]exceptthose who[they](are) the lowest of usimmature in opinionimmature in opinionAnd notwe seein youover usanymeritnaywe think you(are) liars
11:27
قَالَيَـٰقَوْمِأَرَءَيْتُمْإِنكُنتُعَلَىٰبَيِّنَةٍۢمِّنرَّبِّىوَءَاتَىٰنِىرَحْمَةًۭمِّنْعِندِهِۦفَعُمِّيَتْعَلَيْكُمْأَنُلْزِمُكُمُوهَاوَأَنتُمْلَهَاكَـٰرِهُونَ
kārihūnalahāwa-antumanul'zimukumūhāʿalaykumfaʿummiyatʿindihiminraḥmatanwaātānīrabbīminbayyinatinʿalākuntuinara-aytumyāqawmiqāla
He saidO my peopleDo you seeifI wason(the) clear prooffrommy Lordwhile He has given memercyfromHimselfbut (it) has been obscuredfrom youshould We compel you (to accept) itwhile you (are)averse to itaverse to it
11:28
وَيَـٰقَوْمِلَآأَسْـَٔلُكُمْعَلَيْهِمَالًا ۖإِنْأَجْرِىَإِلَّاعَلَىٱللَّهِ ۚوَمَآأَنَا۠بِطَارِدِٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوٓا۟ ۚإِنَّهُممُّلَـٰقُوا۟رَبِّهِمْوَلَـٰكِنِّىٓأَرَىٰكُمْقَوْمًۭاتَجْهَلُونَ
tajhalūnaqawmanarākumwalākinnīrabbihimmulāqūinnahumāmanūalladhīnabiṭāridianāwamāl-lahiʿalāillāajriyainmālanʿalayhiasalukumlāwayāqawmi
And O my peoplenotI ask (of) youfor itany wealthNot(is) my rewardexceptfromAllahAnd notI amgoing to drive awaythose whobelievedIndeed, they(will) be meetingtheir Lordbut Isee you(are) a peopleignorant
11:29
وَيَـٰقَوْمِمَنيَنصُرُنِىمِنَٱللَّهِإِنطَرَدتُّهُمْ ۚأَفَلَاتَذَكَّرُونَ
tadhakkarūnaafalāṭaradttuhuminl-lahiminayanṣurunīmanwayāqawmi
And O my peopleWhowould help meagainstAllahifI drove them awayThen, will notyou take heed
11:30
وَلَآأَقُولُلَكُمْعِندِىخَزَآئِنُٱللَّهِوَلَآأَعْلَمُٱلْغَيْبَوَلَآأَقُولُإِنِّىمَلَكٌۭوَلَآأَقُولُلِلَّذِينَتَزْدَرِىٓأَعْيُنُكُمْلَنيُؤْتِيَهُمُٱللَّهُخَيْرًا ۖٱللَّهُأَعْلَمُبِمَافِىٓأَنفُسِهِمْ ۖإِنِّىٓإِذًۭالَّمِنَٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnalaminaidhaninnīanfusihimfībimāaʿlamul-lahukhayranl-lahuyu'tiyahumulanaʿyunukumtazdarīlilladhīnaaqūluwalāmalakuninnīaqūluwalāl-ghaybaaʿlamuwalāl-lahikhazāinuʿindīlakumaqūluwalā
And notI sayto you(that) with me(are the) treasures(of) Allahand notI knowthe unseenand notI saythat I aman Angeland notI sayfor those whomlook down uponyour eyesneverwill Allah give themwill Allah give themany goodAllahknows bestwhat(is) intheir soulsIndeed, Ithen(will be) surely ofthe wrongdoers
11:31
قَالُوا۟يَـٰنُوحُقَدْجَـٰدَلْتَنَافَأَكْثَرْتَجِدَٰلَنَافَأْتِنَابِمَاتَعِدُنَآإِنكُنتَمِنَٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
l-ṣādiqīnaminakuntaintaʿidunābimāfatinājidālanāfa-akthartajādaltanāqadyānūḥuqālū
They saidO NuhIndeedyou disputed with usand you (have been) frequent(in) dispute with usSo bring uswhatyou threaten us (with)ifyou areofthe truthful
11:32
قَالَإِنَّمَايَأْتِيكُمبِهِٱللَّهُإِنشَآءَوَمَآأَنتُمبِمُعْجِزِينَ
bimuʿ'jizīnaantumwamāshāainl-lahubihiyatīkuminnamāqāla
He saidOnlywill bring it (on) youwill bring it (on) youAllahifHe willsand notyou (are)one who (can) escape (it)
11:33
وَلَايَنفَعُكُمْنُصْحِىٓإِنْأَرَدتُّأَنْأَنصَحَلَكُمْإِنكَانَٱللَّهُيُرِيدُأَنيُغْوِيَكُمْ ۚهُوَرَبُّكُمْوَإِلَيْهِتُرْجَعُونَ
tur'jaʿūnawa-ilayhirabbukumhuwayugh'wiyakumanyurīdul-lahukānainlakumanṣaḥaanaradttuinnuṣ'ḥīyanfaʿukumwalā
And (will) notbenefit youmy advice(even) ifI wishto[I] advise[to] youifit was Allah'sit was Allah'swilltolet you go astrayHe (is)your Lordand to Himyou will be returned
11:34
أَمْيَقُولُونَٱفْتَرَىٰهُ ۖقُلْإِنِٱفْتَرَيْتُهُۥفَعَلَىَّإِجْرَامِىوَأَنَا۠بَرِىٓءٌۭمِّمَّاتُجْرِمُونَ
tuj'rimūnamimmābarīonwa-anāij'rāmīfaʿalayyaif'taraytuhuiniqulif'tarāhuyaqūlūnaam
Or(do) they sayHe has invented itSayIfI have invented itthen on me(is) my crimebut I aminnocentof whatcrimes you commit
11:35
وَأُوحِىَإِلَىٰنُوحٍأَنَّهُۥلَنيُؤْمِنَمِنقَوْمِكَإِلَّامَنقَدْءَامَنَفَلَاتَبْتَئِسْبِمَاكَانُوا۟يَفْعَلُونَ
yafʿalūnakānūbimātabta-isfalāāmanaqadmanillāqawmikaminyu'minalanannahunūḥinilāwaūḥiya
And it was revealedtoNuhThatwill neverbelievefromyour peopleexcept(those) whohave alreadybelievedSo (do) not(be) distressedby whatthey have beendoing
11:36
وَٱصْنَعِٱلْفُلْكَبِأَعْيُنِنَاوَوَحْيِنَاوَلَاتُخَـٰطِبْنِىفِىٱلَّذِينَظَلَمُوٓا۟ ۚإِنَّهُممُّغْرَقُونَ
mugh'raqūnainnahumẓalamūalladhīnafītukhāṭib'nīwalāwawaḥyinābi-aʿyunināl-ful'kawa-iṣ'naʿi
And constructthe shipunder Our Eyesand Our inspirationand (do) notaddress Meconcerningthose whowrongedindeed, they (are)the ones (to be) drowned
11:37
وَيَصْنَعُٱلْفُلْكَوَكُلَّمَامَرَّعَلَيْهِمَلَأٌۭمِّنقَوْمِهِۦسَخِرُوا۟مِنْهُ ۚقَالَإِنتَسْخَرُوا۟مِنَّافَإِنَّانَسْخَرُمِنكُمْكَمَاتَسْخَرُونَ
taskharūnakamāminkumnaskharufa-innāminnātaskharūinqālamin'husakhirūqawmihiminmala-onʿalayhimarrawakullamāl-ful'kawayaṣnaʿu
And he was constructingthe shipand every timepassedby him(the) chiefsofhis peoplethey ridiculed[of] himHe saidIfyou ridiculeusthen wecan ridiculeyouasyou ridicule
11:38
فَسَوْفَتَعْلَمُونَمَنيَأْتِيهِعَذَابٌۭيُخْزِيهِوَيَحِلُّعَلَيْهِعَذَابٌۭمُّقِيمٌ
muqīmunʿadhābunʿalayhiwayaḥilluyukh'zīhiʿadhābunyatīhimantaʿlamūnafasawfa
And soonyou will know(on) whomwill comea punishment(that) will disgrace himand will descendon hima punishmentlasting
11:39
حَتَّىٰٓإِذَاجَآءَأَمْرُنَاوَفَارَٱلتَّنُّورُقُلْنَاٱحْمِلْفِيهَامِنكُلٍّۢزَوْجَيْنِٱثْنَيْنِوَأَهْلَكَإِلَّامَنسَبَقَعَلَيْهِٱلْقَوْلُوَمَنْءَامَنَ ۚوَمَآءَامَنَمَعَهُۥٓإِلَّاقَلِيلٌۭ
qalīlunillāmaʿahuāmanawamāāmanawamanl-qawluʿalayhisabaqamanillāwa-ahlakaith'naynizawjaynikullinminfīhāiḥ'milqul'nāl-tanūruwafāraamrunājāaidhāḥattā
TillwhencameOur commandand overflowedthe ovenWe saidLoadin itofevery kinda pairtwoand your familyexceptwhohas precededagainst himthe wordand whoeverbelievedAnd notbelievedwith himexcepta few
11:40
۞ وَقَالَٱرْكَبُوا۟فِيهَابِسْمِٱللَّهِمَجْر۪ىٰهَاوَمُرْسَىٰهَآ ۚإِنَّرَبِّىلَغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunlaghafūrunrabbīinnawamur'sāhāmajrahāl-lahibis'mifīhāir'kabūwaqāla
And he saidEmbarkin itin the nameof Allah(is) its courseand its anchorageIndeedmy Lord(is) certainly Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
11:41
وَهِىَتَجْرِىبِهِمْفِىمَوْجٍۢكَٱلْجِبَالِوَنَادَىٰنُوحٌٱبْنَهُۥوَكَانَفِىمَعْزِلٍۢيَـٰبُنَىَّٱرْكَبمَّعَنَاوَلَاتَكُنمَّعَٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīnamaʿatakunwalāmaʿanāir'kabyābunayyamaʿzilinfīwakānaib'nahunūḥunwanādākal-jibālimawjinfībihimtajrīwahiya
And itsailedwith themonthe waveslike mountainsand Nuh called outand Nuh called out(to) his sonand he was[in]apartO my sonEmbarkwith usand (do) notbewiththe disbelievers
11:42
قَالَسَـَٔاوِىٓإِلَىٰجَبَلٍۢيَعْصِمُنِىمِنَٱلْمَآءِ ۚقَالَلَاعَاصِمَٱلْيَوْمَمِنْأَمْرِٱللَّهِإِلَّامَنرَّحِمَ ۚوَحَالَبَيْنَهُمَاٱلْمَوْجُفَكَانَمِنَٱلْمُغْرَقِينَ
l-mugh'raqīnaminafakānal-mawjubaynahumāwaḥālaraḥimamanillāl-lahiamriminl-yawmaʿāṣimalāqālal-māiminayaʿṣimunījabalinilāsaāwīqāla
He saidI will betake myselftoa mountain(that) will save mefromthe waterHe said(There is) noprotectortodayfromthe Command of Allahthe Command of Allahexcept(on) whomHe has mercyAnd came(in) between themthe wavesso he wasamongthe drowned
11:43
وَقِيلَيَـٰٓأَرْضُٱبْلَعِىمَآءَكِوَيَـٰسَمَآءُأَقْلِعِىوَغِيضَٱلْمَآءُوَقُضِىَٱلْأَمْرُوَٱسْتَوَتْعَلَىٱلْجُودِىِّ ۖوَقِيلَبُعْدًۭالِّلْقَوْمِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnalil'qawmibuʿ'danwaqīlal-jūdiyiʿalāwa-is'tawatl-amruwaquḍiyal-māuwaghīḍaaqliʿīwayāsamāumāakiib'laʿīyāarḍuwaqīla
And it was saidO earthSwallowyour waterand O skyWithholdAnd subsidedthe waterand was fulfilledthe CommandAnd it restedonthe JudiAnd it was saidAwaywith the peoplethe wrongdoers
11:44
وَنَادَىٰنُوحٌۭرَّبَّهُۥفَقَالَرَبِّإِنَّٱبْنِىمِنْأَهْلِىوَإِنَّوَعْدَكَٱلْحَقُّوَأَنتَأَحْكَمُٱلْحَـٰكِمِينَ
l-ḥākimīnaaḥkamuwa-antal-ḥaquwaʿdakawa-innaahlīminib'nīinnarabbifaqālarabbahunūḥunwanādā
And Nuh calledAnd Nuh called(to) his Lordand saidO my LordIndeedmy son(is) ofmy familyand indeedYour promise(is) trueand You(are) the Most Just(of) the judges
11:45
قَالَيَـٰنُوحُإِنَّهُۥلَيْسَمِنْأَهْلِكَ ۖإِنَّهُۥعَمَلٌغَيْرُصَـٰلِحٍۢ ۖفَلَاتَسْـَٔلْنِمَالَيْسَلَكَبِهِۦعِلْمٌ ۖإِنِّىٓأَعِظُكَأَنتَكُونَمِنَٱلْجَـٰهِلِينَ
l-jāhilīnaminatakūnaanaʿiẓukainnīʿil'munbihilakalaysamātasalnifalāṣāliḥinghayruʿamaluninnahuahlikaminlaysainnahuyānūḥuqāla
He saidO NuhIndeed, he(is) notofyour familyindeed, [he](his) deed(is) other thanrighteousso (do) notask Me(about) whatnotyou haveof itany knowledgeIndeed, Iadmonish youlestyou beamongthe ignorant
11:46
قَالَرَبِّإِنِّىٓأَعُوذُبِكَأَنْأَسْـَٔلَكَمَالَيْسَلِىبِهِۦعِلْمٌۭ ۖوَإِلَّاتَغْفِرْلِىوَتَرْحَمْنِىٓأَكُنمِّنَٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ
l-khāsirīnaminaakunwatarḥamnīlītaghfirwa-illāʿil'munbihilīlaysamāasalakaanbikaaʿūdhuinnīrabbiqāla
He saidO my LordIndeed, Iseek refugein YouthatI (should) ask YouwhatnotI haveof itknowledgeAnd unlessYou forgivemeand You have mercy on meI will beamongthe losers
11:47
قِيلَيَـٰنُوحُٱهْبِطْبِسَلَـٰمٍۢمِّنَّاوَبَرَكَـٰتٍعَلَيْكَوَعَلَىٰٓأُمَمٍۢمِّمَّنمَّعَكَ ۚوَأُمَمٌۭسَنُمَتِّعُهُمْثُمَّيَمَسُّهُممِّنَّاعَذَابٌأَلِيمٌۭ
alīmunʿadhābunminnāyamassuhumthummasanumattiʿuhumwa-umamunmaʿakamimmanumaminwaʿalāʿalaykawabarakātinminnābisalāminih'biṭyānūḥuqīla
It was saidO NuhGo downwith peacefrom Usand blessingson youand onthe nationsfrom thosewith youBut (to other) nationsWe will grant enjoymentthenwill touch themfrom Usa punishmentpainful
11:48
تِلْكَمِنْأَنۢبَآءِٱلْغَيْبِنُوحِيهَآإِلَيْكَ ۖمَاكُنتَتَعْلَمُهَآأَنتَوَلَاقَوْمُكَمِنقَبْلِهَـٰذَا ۖفَٱصْبِرْ ۖإِنَّٱلْعَـٰقِبَةَلِلْمُتَّقِينَ
lil'muttaqīnal-ʿāqibatainnafa-iṣ'birhādhāqabliminqawmukawalāantataʿlamuhākuntamāilaykanūḥīhāl-ghaybianbāimintil'ka
This(is) fromthe news(of) the unseen(which) We revealto youNotyou wereknowing ityouand notyour peoplefrombeforethisSo be patientindeedthe end(is) for the God fearing
11:49
وَإِلَىٰعَادٍأَخَاهُمْهُودًۭا ۚقَالَيَـٰقَوْمِٱعْبُدُوا۟ٱللَّهَمَالَكُممِّنْإِلَـٰهٍغَيْرُهُۥٓ ۖإِنْأَنتُمْإِلَّامُفْتَرُونَ
muf'tarūnaillāantuminghayruhuilāhinminlakummāl-lahauʿ'budūyāqawmiqālahūdanakhāhumʿādinwa-ilā
And toAad(We sent) their brotherHudHe saidO my peopleWorshipAllahnot(is) for youanygodother than HimNotyou(are) butinventors
11:50
يَـٰقَوْمِلَآأَسْـَٔلُكُمْعَلَيْهِأَجْرًا ۖإِنْأَجْرِىَإِلَّاعَلَىٱلَّذِىفَطَرَنِىٓ ۚأَفَلَاتَعْقِلُونَ
taʿqilūnaafalāfaṭaranīalladhīʿalāillāajriyainajranʿalayhiasalukumlāyāqawmi
O my peopleNotI ask youfor itany rewardNot(is) my rewardexceptfromthe One Whocreated meThen will notyou use reason
11:51
وَيَـٰقَوْمِٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟رَبَّكُمْثُمَّتُوبُوٓا۟إِلَيْهِيُرْسِلِٱلسَّمَآءَعَلَيْكُممِّدْرَارًۭاوَيَزِدْكُمْقُوَّةًإِلَىٰقُوَّتِكُمْوَلَاتَتَوَلَّوْا۟مُجْرِمِينَ
muj'rimīnatatawallawwalāquwwatikumilāquwwatanwayazid'kummid'rāranʿalaykuml-samāayur'siliilayhitūbūthummarabbakumis'taghfirūwayāqawmi
And O my peopleAsk forgiveness(of) your Lordthenturn in repentanceto HimHe will send(from) the sky (rain)upon you(in) abundanceand increase you(in) strength(added) toyour strengthAnd (do) notturn away(as) criminals
11:52
قَالُوا۟يَـٰهُودُمَاجِئْتَنَابِبَيِّنَةٍۢوَمَانَحْنُبِتَارِكِىٓءَالِهَتِنَاعَنقَوْلِكَوَمَانَحْنُلَكَبِمُؤْمِنِينَ
bimu'minīnalakanaḥnuwamāqawlikaʿanālihatinābitārikīnaḥnuwamābibayyinatinji'tanāmāyāhūduqālū
They saidO HudYou have not brought usYou have not brought usclear proofsand notwe(will) leaveour godsonyour sayingand notwe (are)in youbelievers
11:53
إِننَّقُولُإِلَّاٱعْتَرَىٰكَبَعْضُءَالِهَتِنَابِسُوٓءٍۢ ۗقَالَإِنِّىٓأُشْهِدُٱللَّهَوَٱشْهَدُوٓا۟أَنِّىبَرِىٓءٌۭمِّمَّاتُشْرِكُونَ
tush'rikūnamimmābarīonannīwa-ish'hadūl-lahaush'hiduinnīqālabisūinālihatinābaʿḍuiʿ'tarākaillānaqūluin
Notwe sayexcept (that)have seized yousome(of) our godswith evilHe saidIndeed, I[I] call Allah to witness[I] call Allah to witnessand (you) bear witnessthat I aminnocentof whatyou associate
11:54
مِندُونِهِۦ ۖفَكِيدُونِىجَمِيعًۭاثُمَّلَاتُنظِرُونِ
tunẓirūnilāthummajamīʿanfakīdūnīdūnihimin
Other than HimOther than HimSo plot against meall togetherthen(do) notgive me respite
11:55
إِنِّىتَوَكَّلْتُعَلَىٱللَّهِرَبِّىوَرَبِّكُم ۚمَّامِندَآبَّةٍإِلَّاهُوَءَاخِذٌۢبِنَاصِيَتِهَآ ۚإِنَّرَبِّىعَلَىٰصِرَٰطٍۢمُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
mus'taqīminṣirāṭinʿalārabbīinnabināṣiyatihāākhidhunhuwaillādābbatinminmāwarabbikumrabbīl-lahiʿalātawakkaltuinnī
Indeed, I[I] put my trustuponAllahmy Lordand your Lord(There is) notof a moving creatureof a moving creaturebutHehas graspof its forelockIndeedmy Lord(is) ona pathstraight
11:56
فَإِنتَوَلَّوْا۟فَقَدْأَبْلَغْتُكُممَّآأُرْسِلْتُبِهِۦٓإِلَيْكُمْ ۚوَيَسْتَخْلِفُرَبِّىقَوْمًاغَيْرَكُمْوَلَاتَضُرُّونَهُۥشَيْـًٔا ۚإِنَّرَبِّىعَلَىٰكُلِّشَىْءٍحَفِيظٌۭ
ḥafīẓunshayinkulliʿalārabbīinnashayantaḍurrūnahuwalāghayrakumqawmanrabbīwayastakhlifuilaykumbihiur'sil'tumāablaghtukumfaqadtawallawfa-in
So ifyou turn awaythen verilyI have conveyed to youwhatI was sentwith [it]to youAnd my Lord will give successionAnd my Lord will give succession(to) a peopleother than youand notyou will harm Him(in) anythingIndeedmy Lord(is) onallthingsa Guardian
11:57
وَلَمَّاجَآءَأَمْرُنَانَجَّيْنَاهُودًۭاوَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟مَعَهُۥبِرَحْمَةٍۢمِّنَّاوَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُممِّنْعَذَابٍغَلِيظٍۢ
ghalīẓinʿadhābinminwanajjaynāhumminnābiraḥmatinmaʿahuāmanūwa-alladhīnahūdannajjaynāamrunājāawalammā
And whencameOur commandWe savedHudand those whobelievedwith himby a Mercyfrom Usand We saved themfroma punishmentsevere
11:58
وَتِلْكَعَادٌۭ ۖجَحَدُوا۟بِـَٔايَـٰتِرَبِّهِمْوَعَصَوْا۟رُسُلَهُۥوَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟أَمْرَكُلِّجَبَّارٍعَنِيدٍۢ
ʿanīdinjabbārinkulliamrawa-ittabaʿūrusulahuwaʿaṣawrabbihimbiāyātijaḥadūʿādunwatil'ka
And this(was) Aadthey rejected(the) Signs(of) their Lordand disobeyedHis Messengersand followed(the) command(of) everytyrantobstinate
11:59
وَأُتْبِعُوا۟فِىهَـٰذِهِٱلدُّنْيَالَعْنَةًۭوَيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۗأَلَآإِنَّعَادًۭاكَفَرُوا۟رَبَّهُمْ ۗأَلَابُعْدًۭالِّعَادٍۢقَوْمِهُودٍۢ
hūdinqawmiliʿādinbuʿ'danalārabbahumkafarūʿādaninnaalāl-qiyāmatiwayawmalaʿnatanl-dun'yāhādhihifīwa-ut'biʿū
And they were followedinthisworld(with) a curseand (on the) Day(of) the ResurrectionNo doubtIndeedAaddisbelievedtheir LordSoawaywith Aad(the) people(of) Hud
11:60
۞ وَإِلَىٰثَمُودَأَخَاهُمْصَـٰلِحًۭا ۚقَالَيَـٰقَوْمِٱعْبُدُوا۟ٱللَّهَمَالَكُممِّنْإِلَـٰهٍغَيْرُهُۥ ۖهُوَأَنشَأَكُممِّنَٱلْأَرْضِوَٱسْتَعْمَرَكُمْفِيهَافَٱسْتَغْفِرُوهُثُمَّتُوبُوٓا۟إِلَيْهِ ۚإِنَّرَبِّىقَرِيبٌۭمُّجِيبٌۭ
mujībunqarībunrabbīinnailayhitūbūthummafa-is'taghfirūhufīhāwa-is'taʿmarakuml-arḍiminaansha-akumhuwaghayruhuilāhinminlakummāl-lahauʿ'budūyāqawmiqālaṣāliḥanakhāhumthamūdawa-ilā
And toThamud(We sent) their brotherSalihHe saidO my peopleWorshipAllahnotyou haveanygodother than HimHeproduced youfromthe earthand settled youin itSo ask forgiveness of Himthenturn in repentanceto HimIndeedmy Lord(is) nearAll-Responsive
11:61
قَالُوا۟يَـٰصَـٰلِحُقَدْكُنتَفِينَامَرْجُوًّۭاقَبْلَهَـٰذَآ ۖأَتَنْهَىٰنَآأَننَّعْبُدَمَايَعْبُدُءَابَآؤُنَاوَإِنَّنَالَفِىشَكٍّۢمِّمَّاتَدْعُونَآإِلَيْهِمُرِيبٍۢ
murībinilayhitadʿūnāmimmāshakkinlafīwa-innanāābāunāyaʿbudumānaʿbudaanatanhānāhādhāqablamarjuwwanfīnākuntaqadyāṣāliḥuqālū
They saidO SalihVerilyyou wereamong usthe one in whom hope was placedbeforethisDo you forbid usthatwe worshipwhatour forefathers worshippedour forefathers worshippedAnd indeed wesurely (are) indoubtabout whatyou call usto itsuspicious
11:62
قَالَيَـٰقَوْمِأَرَءَيْتُمْإِنكُنتُعَلَىٰبَيِّنَةٍۢمِّنرَّبِّىوَءَاتَىٰنِىمِنْهُرَحْمَةًۭفَمَنيَنصُرُنِىمِنَٱللَّهِإِنْعَصَيْتُهُۥ ۖفَمَاتَزِيدُونَنِىغَيْرَتَخْسِيرٍۢ
takhsīringhayratazīdūnanīfamāʿaṣaytuhuinl-lahiminayanṣurunīfamanraḥmatanmin'huwaātānīrabbīminbayyinatinʿalākuntuinara-aytumyāqawmiqāla
He saidO my peopleDo you seeifI amona clear prooffrommy Lordand He has given mefrom Hima Mercythen who(can) help meagainstAllahifI (were to) disobey HimSo notyou would increase mebut(in) loss
11:63
وَيَـٰقَوْمِهَـٰذِهِۦنَاقَةُٱللَّهِلَكُمْءَايَةًۭفَذَرُوهَاتَأْكُلْفِىٓأَرْضِٱللَّهِوَلَاتَمَسُّوهَابِسُوٓءٍۢفَيَأْخُذَكُمْعَذَابٌۭقَرِيبٌۭ
qarībunʿadhābunfayakhudhakumbisūintamassūhāwalāl-lahiarḍifītakulfadharūhāāyatanlakuml-lahināqatuhādhihiwayāqawmi
And O my peopleThisshe-camel(of) Allah(is) for youa Signso leave herto eatinthe earth(of) Allahand (do) nottouch herwith harmlest will seize youa punishmentimpending
11:64
فَعَقَرُوهَافَقَالَتَمَتَّعُوا۟فِىدَارِكُمْثَلَـٰثَةَأَيَّامٍۢ ۖذَٰلِكَوَعْدٌغَيْرُمَكْذُوبٍۢ
makdhūbinghayruwaʿdundhālikaayyāminthalāthatadārikumfītamattaʿūfaqālafaʿaqarūhā
But they hamstrung herSo he saidEnjoy (yourselves)inyour home(s)(for) threedaysThat(is) a promisenot(to) be belied
11:65
فَلَمَّاجَآءَأَمْرُنَانَجَّيْنَاصَـٰلِحًۭاوَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟مَعَهُۥبِرَحْمَةٍۢمِّنَّاوَمِنْخِزْىِيَوْمِئِذٍ ۗإِنَّرَبَّكَهُوَٱلْقَوِىُّٱلْعَزِيزُ
l-ʿazīzul-qawiyuhuwarabbakainnayawmi-idhinkhiz'yiwaminminnābiraḥmatinmaʿahuāmanūwa-alladhīnaṣāliḥannajjaynāamrunājāafalammā
So whencameOur commandWe savedSalihand those whobelievedwith himby a Mercyfrom Usand from(the) disgrace(of) that DayIndeedyour LordHe(is) All-StrongAll-Mighty
11:66
وَأَخَذَٱلَّذِينَظَلَمُوا۟ٱلصَّيْحَةُفَأَصْبَحُوا۟فِىدِيَـٰرِهِمْجَـٰثِمِينَ
jāthimīnadiyārihimfīfa-aṣbaḥūl-ṣayḥatuẓalamūalladhīnawa-akhadha
And seizedthose whowrongedthe thunderous blastthen they becameintheir homesfallen prone
11:67
كَأَنلَّمْيَغْنَوْا۟فِيهَآ ۗأَلَآإِنَّثَمُودَا۟كَفَرُوا۟رَبَّهُمْ ۗأَلَابُعْدًۭالِّثَمُودَ
lithamūdabuʿ'danalārabbahumkafarūthamūdāinnaalāfīhāyaghnawlamka-an
As ifnotthey (had) prosperedthereinNo doubtindeedThamuddisbelieved(in) their Lordsoawaywith Thamud
11:68
وَلَقَدْجَآءَتْرُسُلُنَآإِبْرَٰهِيمَبِٱلْبُشْرَىٰقَالُوا۟سَلَـٰمًۭا ۖقَالَسَلَـٰمٌۭ ۖفَمَالَبِثَأَنجَآءَبِعِجْلٍحَنِيذٍۢ
ḥanīdhinbiʿij'linjāaanlabithafamāsalāmunqālasalāmanqālūbil-bush'rāib'rāhīmarusulunājāatwalaqad
And certainlycameOur messengers(to) Ibrahimwith glad tidingsthey saidPeaceHe saidPeaceand not he delayedand not he delayedtobringa calfroasted
11:69
فَلَمَّارَءَآأَيْدِيَهُمْلَاتَصِلُإِلَيْهِنَكِرَهُمْوَأَوْجَسَمِنْهُمْخِيفَةًۭ ۚقَالُوا۟لَاتَخَفْإِنَّآأُرْسِلْنَآإِلَىٰقَوْمِلُوطٍۢ
lūṭinqawmiilāur'sil'nāinnātakhaflāqālūkhīfatanmin'humwa-awjasanakirahumilayhitaṣilulāaydiyahumraāfalammā
But whenhe sawtheir handsnotreachingto ithe felt unfamiliar of themand felt apprehensionfrom them[a fear]They said(Do) notfearIndeed, we[we] have been sentto(the) people(of) Lut
11:70
وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥقَآئِمَةٌۭفَضَحِكَتْفَبَشَّرْنَـٰهَابِإِسْحَـٰقَوَمِنوَرَآءِإِسْحَـٰقَيَعْقُوبَ
yaʿqūbais'ḥāqawarāiwaminbi-is'ḥāqafabasharnāhāfaḍaḥikatqāimatunwa-im'ra-atuhu
And his wife(was) standingand she laughedThen We gave her glad tidingsof Isaacand afterand afterIsaac(of) Yaqub
11:71
قَالَتْيَـٰوَيْلَتَىٰٓءَأَلِدُوَأَنَا۠عَجُوزٌۭوَهَـٰذَابَعْلِىشَيْخًا ۖإِنَّهَـٰذَالَشَىْءٌعَجِيبٌۭ
ʿajībunlashayonhādhāinnashaykhanbaʿlīwahādhāʿajūzunwa-anāa-aliduyāwaylatāqālat
She saidWoe to meShall I bear a childwhile I aman old womanand thismy husband(is) an old manIndeedthis(is) surely a thingamazing
11:72
قَالُوٓا۟أَتَعْجَبِينَمِنْأَمْرِٱللَّهِ ۖرَحْمَتُٱللَّهِوَبَرَكَـٰتُهُۥعَلَيْكُمْأَهْلَٱلْبَيْتِ ۚإِنَّهُۥحَمِيدٌۭمَّجِيدٌۭ
majīdunḥamīduninnahul-baytiahlaʿalaykumwabarakātuhul-lahiraḥmatul-lahiamriminataʿjabīnaqālū
They saidAre you amazedat(the) decree of Allah(the) decree of AllahThe Mercy of AllahThe Mercy of Allahand His blessings(be) upon youpeople(of) the houseIndeed, He(is) All-PraiseworthyAll-Glorious
11:73
فَلَمَّاذَهَبَعَنْإِبْرَٰهِيمَٱلرَّوْعُوَجَآءَتْهُٱلْبُشْرَىٰيُجَـٰدِلُنَافِىقَوْمِلُوطٍ
lūṭinqawmifīyujādilunāl-bush'rāwajāathul-rawʿuib'rāhīmaʿandhahabafalammā
And when(had) gone awayfromIbrahimthe frightand had reached himthe glad tidingshe argued with Usconcerningthe peopleof Lut
11:74
إِنَّإِبْرَٰهِيمَلَحَلِيمٌأَوَّٰهٌۭمُّنِيبٌۭ
munībunawwāhunlaḥalīmunib'rāhīmainna
IndeedIbrahim(was) certainly forbearingimploringand oft-returning
11:75
يَـٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُأَعْرِضْعَنْهَـٰذَآ ۖإِنَّهُۥقَدْجَآءَأَمْرُرَبِّكَ ۖوَإِنَّهُمْءَاتِيهِمْعَذَابٌغَيْرُمَرْدُودٍۢ
mardūdinghayruʿadhābunātīhimwa-innahumrabbikaamrujāaqadinnahuhādhāʿanaʿriḍyāib'rāhīmu
O IbrahimTurn awayfromthisIndeed, itcertainlyhas come(the) Command(of) your Lordand indeed, [they](will) come (for) thema punishment(which) cannot(be) repelled
11:76
وَلَمَّاجَآءَتْرُسُلُنَالُوطًۭاسِىٓءَبِهِمْوَضَاقَبِهِمْذَرْعًۭاوَقَالَهَـٰذَايَوْمٌعَصِيبٌۭ
ʿaṣībunyawmunhādhāwaqāladharʿanbihimwaḍāqabihimsīalūṭanrusulunājāatwalammā
And whencameOur messengers(to) Luthe was distressedfor themand felt straitenedfor them(and) uneasyand saidThis(is) a daydistressful
11:77
وَجَآءَهُۥقَوْمُهُۥيُهْرَعُونَإِلَيْهِوَمِنقَبْلُكَانُوا۟يَعْمَلُونَٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ ۚقَالَيَـٰقَوْمِهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِبَنَاتِىهُنَّأَطْهَرُلَكُمْ ۖفَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَلَاتُخْزُونِفِىضَيْفِىٓ ۖأَلَيْسَمِنكُمْرَجُلٌۭرَّشِيدٌۭ
rashīdunrajulunminkumalaysaḍayfīfītukh'zūniwalāl-lahafa-ittaqūlakumaṭharuhunnabanātīhāulāiyāqawmiqālal-sayiātiyaʿmalūnakānūqabluwaminilayhiyuh'raʿūnaqawmuhuwajāahu
And came (to) himhis peoplerushingto himand beforeand beforethey (had) beendoingthe evil deedsHe saidO my peopleThese(are) my daughtersthey(are) purerfor youSo fearAllahand (do) notdisgrace meconcerningmy guestsIs (there) notamong youa manright-minded
11:78
قَالُوا۟لَقَدْعَلِمْتَمَالَنَافِىبَنَاتِكَمِنْحَقٍّۢوَإِنَّكَلَتَعْلَمُمَانُرِيدُ
nurīdumālataʿlamuwa-innakaḥaqqinminbanātikafīlanāmāʿalim'talaqadqālū
They saidVerilyyou know(that) notwe haveconcerningyour daughtersanyrightAnd indeed, yousurely knowwhatwe want
11:79
قَالَلَوْأَنَّلِىبِكُمْقُوَّةًأَوْءَاوِىٓإِلَىٰرُكْنٍۢشَدِيدٍۢ
shadīdinruk'ninilāāwīawquwwatanbikumlīannalawqāla
He saidIfthatI hadover youpowerorI could take refugeina supportstrong
11:80
قَالُوا۟يَـٰلُوطُإِنَّارُسُلُرَبِّكَلَنيَصِلُوٓا۟إِلَيْكَ ۖفَأَسْرِبِأَهْلِكَبِقِطْعٍۢمِّنَٱلَّيْلِوَلَايَلْتَفِتْمِنكُمْأَحَدٌإِلَّاٱمْرَأَتَكَ ۖإِنَّهُۥمُصِيبُهَامَآأَصَابَهُمْ ۚإِنَّمَوْعِدَهُمُٱلصُّبْحُ ۚأَلَيْسَٱلصُّبْحُبِقَرِيبٍۢ
biqarībinl-ṣub'ḥualaysal-ṣub'ḥumawʿidahumuinnaaṣābahummāmuṣībuhāinnahuim'ra-atakaillāaḥadunminkumyaltafitwalāal-layliminabiqiṭ'ʿinbi-ahlikafa-asriilaykayaṣilūlanrabbikarusuluinnāyālūṭuqālū
They saidO LutIndeed, we(are) messengers(of) your Lordneverthey will reachyouSo travelwith your familyin a partofthe nightand (let) notlook backanyone of youanyone of youexceptyour wifeIndeed, itwill strike herwhatwill strike themIndeedtheir appointed time(is) morningIs notthe morningnear
11:81
فَلَمَّاجَآءَأَمْرُنَاجَعَلْنَاعَـٰلِيَهَاسَافِلَهَاوَأَمْطَرْنَاعَلَيْهَاحِجَارَةًۭمِّنسِجِّيلٍۢمَّنضُودٍۢ
manḍūdinsijjīlinminḥijāratanʿalayhāwa-amṭarnāsāfilahāʿāliyahājaʿalnāamrunājāafalammā
So whencameOur CommandWe madeits upsideits downsideand We rainedupon themstonesofbaked clay(in) layers
11:82
مُّسَوَّمَةًعِندَرَبِّكَ ۖوَمَاهِىَمِنَٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَبِبَعِيدٍۢ
bibaʿīdinl-ẓālimīnaminahiyawamārabbikaʿindamusawwamatan
Markedfromyour LordAnd notit(is) fromthe wrongdoersfar
11:83
۞ وَإِلَىٰمَدْيَنَأَخَاهُمْشُعَيْبًۭا ۚقَالَيَـٰقَوْمِٱعْبُدُوا۟ٱللَّهَمَالَكُممِّنْإِلَـٰهٍغَيْرُهُۥ ۖوَلَاتَنقُصُوا۟ٱلْمِكْيَالَوَٱلْمِيزَانَ ۚإِنِّىٓأَرَىٰكُمبِخَيْرٍۢوَإِنِّىٓأَخَافُعَلَيْكُمْعَذَابَيَوْمٍۢمُّحِيطٍۢ
muḥīṭinyawminʿadhābaʿalaykumakhāfuwa-innībikhayrinarākuminnīwal-mīzānal-mik'yālatanquṣūwalāghayruhuilāhinminlakummāl-lahauʿ'budūyāqawmiqālashuʿaybanakhāhummadyanawa-ilā
And toMadyantheir brotherShuaibHe saidO my peopleWorshipAllahnot(is) for youanygodother than HimAnd (do) notdecrease(from) the measureand the scaleIndeed, Isee youin prosperitybut indeed, Ifearfor youpunishment(of) a Dayall-encompassing
11:84
وَيَـٰقَوْمِأَوْفُوا۟ٱلْمِكْيَالَوَٱلْمِيزَانَبِٱلْقِسْطِ ۖوَلَاتَبْخَسُوا۟ٱلنَّاسَأَشْيَآءَهُمْوَلَاتَعْثَوْا۟فِىٱلْأَرْضِمُفْسِدِينَ
muf'sidīnal-arḍifītaʿthawwalāashyāahuml-nāsatabkhasūwalābil-qis'ṭiwal-mīzānal-mik'yālaawfūwayāqawmi
And O my peopleGive fullmeasureand weightin justiceand (do) notdeprivethe people(of) their thingsand (do) notact wickedlyinthe earthspreading corruption
11:85
بَقِيَّتُٱللَّهِخَيْرٌۭلَّكُمْإِنكُنتُممُّؤْمِنِينَ ۚوَمَآأَنَا۠عَلَيْكُمبِحَفِيظٍۢ
biḥafīẓinʿalaykumanāwamāmu'minīnakuntuminlakumkhayrunl-lahibaqiyyatu
(What) remains(from) Allah(is) bestfor youifyou arebelieversAnd notI amover youa guardian
11:86
قَالُوا۟يَـٰشُعَيْبُأَصَلَوٰتُكَتَأْمُرُكَأَننَّتْرُكَمَايَعْبُدُءَابَآؤُنَآأَوْأَننَّفْعَلَفِىٓأَمْوَٰلِنَامَانَشَـٰٓؤُا۟ ۖإِنَّكَلَأَنتَٱلْحَلِيمُٱلرَّشِيدُ
l-rashīdul-ḥalīmula-antainnakanashāumāamwālināfīnafʿalaanawābāunāyaʿbudumānatrukaantamurukaaṣalatukayāshuʿaybuqālū
They saidO ShuaibDoes your prayercommand youthatwe leavewhatworshipour forefathersorthatwe doconcerningour wealthwhatwe willIndeed yousurely you(are) the forbearingthe right-minded
11:87
قَالَيَـٰقَوْمِأَرَءَيْتُمْإِنكُنتُعَلَىٰبَيِّنَةٍۢمِّنرَّبِّىوَرَزَقَنِىمِنْهُرِزْقًاحَسَنًۭا ۚوَمَآأُرِيدُأَنْأُخَالِفَكُمْإِلَىٰمَآأَنْهَىٰكُمْعَنْهُ ۚإِنْأُرِيدُإِلَّاٱلْإِصْلَـٰحَمَاٱسْتَطَعْتُ ۚوَمَاتَوْفِيقِىٓإِلَّابِٱللَّهِ ۚعَلَيْهِتَوَكَّلْتُوَإِلَيْهِأُنِيبُ
unībuwa-ilayhitawakkaltuʿalayhibil-lahiillātawfīqīwamāis'taṭaʿtumāl-iṣ'lāḥaillāurīduinʿanhuanhākummāilāukhālifakumanurīduwamāḥasananriz'qanmin'huwarazaqanīrabbīminbayyinatinʿalākuntuinara-aytumyāqawmiqāla
He saidO my peopleDo you seeifI amona clear evidencefrommy Lordand He has provided mefrom Himselfa good provisiona good provisionAnd notI intendthatI differ from youinwhatI forbid youfrom itNotI intendexceptthe reformas much as I am ableas much as I am ableAnd not(is) my successexceptwith AllahUpon HimI trustand to HimI turn
11:88
وَيَـٰقَوْمِلَايَجْرِمَنَّكُمْشِقَاقِىٓأَنيُصِيبَكُممِّثْلُمَآأَصَابَقَوْمَنُوحٍأَوْقَوْمَهُودٍأَوْقَوْمَصَـٰلِحٍۢ ۚوَمَاقَوْمُلُوطٍۢمِّنكُمبِبَعِيدٍۢ
bibaʿīdinminkumlūṭinqawmuwamāṣāliḥinqawmaawhūdinqawmaawnūḥinqawmaaṣābamāmith'luyuṣībakumanshiqāqīyajrimannakumlāwayāqawmi
And O my people(Let) not cause you to sin(Let) not cause you to sinmy dissensionlestbefalls yousimilar(to) whatbefell(the) people of Nuh(the) people of Nuhor(the) people of Hud(the) people of Hudorpeople of Salihpeople of SalihAnd not(are the) people of Lut(are the) people of Lutfrom youfar off
11:89
وَٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟رَبَّكُمْثُمَّتُوبُوٓا۟إِلَيْهِ ۚإِنَّرَبِّىرَحِيمٌۭوَدُودٌۭ
wadūdunraḥīmunrabbīinnailayhitūbūthummarabbakumwa-is'taghfirū
And ask forgiveness(of) your Lordthenturn in repentanceto HimIndeedmy Lord(is) Most MercifulMost Loving
11:90
قَالُوا۟يَـٰشُعَيْبُمَانَفْقَهُكَثِيرًۭامِّمَّاتَقُولُوَإِنَّالَنَرَىٰكَفِينَاضَعِيفًۭا ۖوَلَوْلَارَهْطُكَلَرَجَمْنَـٰكَ ۖوَمَآأَنتَعَلَيْنَابِعَزِيزٍۢ
biʿazīzinʿalaynāantawamālarajamnākarahṭukawalawlāḍaʿīfanfīnālanarākawa-innātaqūlumimmākathīrannafqahumāyāshuʿaybuqālū
They saidO ShuaibNotwe understandmuchof whatyou sayand indeed, wesurely [we] see youamong usweakAnd if notfor your familysurely we would have stoned youand you are notand you are notagainst usmighty
11:91
قَالَيَـٰقَوْمِأَرَهْطِىٓأَعَزُّعَلَيْكُممِّنَٱللَّهِوَٱتَّخَذْتُمُوهُوَرَآءَكُمْظِهْرِيًّا ۖإِنَّرَبِّىبِمَاتَعْمَلُونَمُحِيطٌۭ
muḥīṭuntaʿmalūnabimārabbīinnaẓih'riyyanwarāakumwa-ittakhadhtumūhul-lahiminaʿalaykumaʿazzuarahṭīyāqawmiqāla
He saidO my peopleIs my familymightieron youthanAllahAnd you have taken Himbehind yourbacksIndeedmy Lordof whatyou do(is) All-Encompassing
11:92
وَيَـٰقَوْمِٱعْمَلُوا۟عَلَىٰمَكَانَتِكُمْإِنِّىعَـٰمِلٌۭ ۖسَوْفَتَعْلَمُونَمَنيَأْتِيهِعَذَابٌۭيُخْزِيهِوَمَنْهُوَكَـٰذِبٌۭ ۖوَٱرْتَقِبُوٓا۟إِنِّىمَعَكُمْرَقِيبٌۭ
raqībunmaʿakuminnīwa-ir'taqibūkādhibunhuwawamanyukh'zīhiʿadhābunyatīhimantaʿlamūnasawfaʿāmiluninnīmakānatikumʿalāiʿ'malūwayāqawmi
And O my peopleWork(according) toyour positionindeed, I amworkingSoonyou will know(on) whomwill comea punishment(that will) disgrace himand who[he](is) a liarAnd watchindeed, I amwith youa watcher
11:93
وَلَمَّاجَآءَأَمْرُنَانَجَّيْنَاشُعَيْبًۭاوَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟مَعَهُۥبِرَحْمَةٍۢمِّنَّاوَأَخَذَتِٱلَّذِينَظَلَمُوا۟ٱلصَّيْحَةُفَأَصْبَحُوا۟فِىدِيَـٰرِهِمْجَـٰثِمِينَ
jāthimīnadiyārihimfīfa-aṣbaḥūl-ṣayḥatuẓalamūalladhīnawa-akhadhatiminnābiraḥmatinmaʿahuāmanūwa-alladhīnashuʿaybannajjaynāamrunājāawalammā
And whencameOur CommandWe savedShuaiband those whobelievedwith himby a Mercyfrom UsAnd seizedthose whowrongedthe thunderous blastthen they becameintheir homesfallen prone
11:94
كَأَنلَّمْيَغْنَوْا۟فِيهَآ ۗأَلَابُعْدًۭالِّمَدْيَنَكَمَابَعِدَتْثَمُودُ
thamūdubaʿidatkamālimadyanabuʿ'danalāfīhāyaghnawlamka-an
As ifnotthey (had) prosperedthereinSoawaywith Madyanaswas taken awaythe Thamud
11:95
وَلَقَدْأَرْسَلْنَامُوسَىٰبِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاوَسُلْطَـٰنٍۢمُّبِينٍ
mubīninwasul'ṭāninbiāyātināmūsāarsalnāwalaqad
And certainlyWe sentMusawith Our Signsand an authorityclear
11:96
إِلَىٰفِرْعَوْنَوَمَلَإِي۟هِۦفَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟أَمْرَفِرْعَوْنَ ۖوَمَآأَمْرُفِرْعَوْنَبِرَشِيدٍۢ
birashīdinfir'ʿawnaamruwamāfir'ʿawnaamrafa-ittabaʿūwamala-ihifir'ʿawnailā
ToFiraunand his chiefsbut they followed(the) command of Firaun(the) command of Firaunand not(the) command of Firaun(the) command of Firaunwas right
11:97
يَقْدُمُقَوْمَهُۥيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِفَأَوْرَدَهُمُٱلنَّارَ ۖوَبِئْسَٱلْوِرْدُٱلْمَوْرُودُ
l-mawrūdul-wir'duwabi'sal-nārafa-awradahumul-qiyāmatiyawmaqawmahuyaqdumu
He will precedehis people(on the) Day(of) the Resurrectionand lead them(into) the FireAnd wretched(is) the placeto which (they are) led
11:98
وَأُتْبِعُوا۟فِىهَـٰذِهِۦلَعْنَةًۭوَيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۚبِئْسَٱلرِّفْدُٱلْمَرْفُودُ
l-marfūdul-rif'dubi'sal-qiyāmatiwayawmalaʿnatanhādhihifīwa-ut'biʿū
And they were followedinthis(by) a curseand (on the) Day(of) the ResurrectionWretched(is) the giftwhich (will) be given
11:99
ذَٰلِكَمِنْأَنۢبَآءِٱلْقُرَىٰنَقُصُّهُۥعَلَيْكَ ۖمِنْهَاقَآئِمٌۭوَحَصِيدٌۭ
waḥaṣīdunqāimunmin'hāʿalaykanaquṣṣuhul-qurāanbāimindhālika
That(is) from(the) news(of) the cities(which) We relateto youof themsome are standingand (some) mown
11:100
وَمَاظَلَمْنَـٰهُمْوَلَـٰكِنظَلَمُوٓا۟أَنفُسَهُمْ ۖفَمَآأَغْنَتْعَنْهُمْءَالِهَتُهُمُٱلَّتِىيَدْعُونَمِندُونِٱللَّهِمِنشَىْءٍۢلَّمَّاجَآءَأَمْرُرَبِّكَ ۖوَمَازَادُوهُمْغَيْرَتَتْبِيبٍۢ
tatbībinghayrazādūhumwamārabbikaamrujāalammāshayinminl-lahidūniminyadʿūnaallatīālihatuhumuʿanhumaghnatfamāanfusahumẓalamūwalākinẓalamnāhumwamā
And notWe wronged thembutthey wrongedthemselvesSo notavailedthemtheir godswhichthey invokedother than Allahother than Allahother than Allahanythingwhencame(the) command (of) your Lord(the) command (of) your LordAnd notthey increased themother thanruin
11:101
وَكَذَٰلِكَأَخْذُرَبِّكَإِذَآأَخَذَٱلْقُرَىٰوَهِىَظَـٰلِمَةٌ ۚإِنَّأَخْذَهُۥٓأَلِيمٌۭشَدِيدٌ
shadīdunalīmunakhdhahuinnaẓālimatunwahiyal-qurāakhadhaidhārabbikaakhdhuwakadhālika
And thus(is) the seizure (of) your Lord(is) the seizure (of) your LordwhenHe seizesthe citieswhile they(are) doing wrongIndeedHis seizure(is) painful(and) severe
11:102
إِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭلِّمَنْخَافَعَذَابَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۚذَٰلِكَيَوْمٌۭمَّجْمُوعٌۭلَّهُٱلنَّاسُوَذَٰلِكَيَوْمٌۭمَّشْهُودٌۭ
mashhūdunyawmunwadhālikal-nāsulahumajmūʿunyawmundhālikal-ākhiratiʿadhābakhāfalimanlaāyatandhālikafīinna
Indeedinthat(is) surely a Signfor (those) whofear(the) punishment(of) the HereafterThat(is) a Day(will) be gatheredon itthe mankindand that(is) a Daywitnessed
11:103
وَمَانُؤَخِّرُهُۥٓإِلَّالِأَجَلٍۢمَّعْدُودٍۢ
maʿdūdinli-ajalinillānu-akhiruhuwamā
And notWe delay itexceptfor a termlimited
11:104
يَوْمَيَأْتِلَاتَكَلَّمُنَفْسٌإِلَّابِإِذْنِهِۦ ۚفَمِنْهُمْشَقِىٌّۭوَسَعِيدٌۭ
wasaʿīdunshaqiyyunfamin'humbi-idh'nihiillānafsuntakallamulāyatiyawma
(The) Day(it) comesnotwill speaka soulexceptby His leaveThen among them(will be the) wretchedand (the) glad
11:105
فَأَمَّاٱلَّذِينَشَقُوا۟فَفِىٱلنَّارِلَهُمْفِيهَازَفِيرٌۭوَشَهِيقٌ
washahīqunzafīrunfīhālahuml-nārifafīshaqūalladhīnafa-ammā
As forthose whowere wretchedthen (they will be) inthe FireFor themtherein(is) sighingand wailing
11:106
خَـٰلِدِينَفِيهَامَادَامَتِٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتُوَٱلْأَرْضُإِلَّامَاشَآءَرَبُّكَ ۚإِنَّرَبَّكَفَعَّالٌۭلِّمَايُرِيدُ
yurīdulimāfaʿʿālunrabbakainnarabbukashāamāillāwal-arḍul-samāwātudāmatimāfīhākhālidīna
(Will be) abidingthereinas long as remainas long as remainthe heavensand the earthexceptwhat your Lord willswhat your Lord willswhat your Lord willsIndeedyour Lord(is) All-Accomplisherof whatHe intends
11:107
۞ وَأَمَّاٱلَّذِينَسُعِدُوا۟فَفِىٱلْجَنَّةِخَـٰلِدِينَفِيهَامَادَامَتِٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتُوَٱلْأَرْضُإِلَّامَاشَآءَرَبُّكَ ۖعَطَآءًغَيْرَمَجْذُوذٍۢ
majdhūdhinghayraʿaṭāanrabbukashāamāillāwal-arḍul-samāwātudāmatimāfīhākhālidīnal-janatifafīsuʿidūalladhīnawa-ammā
And as forthose whowere gladthen (they will be) inParadise(will be) abidingthereinas long as remainsas long as remainsthe heavensand the earthexceptwhat your Lord wills what your Lord wills what your Lord wills a bestowalnotinterrupted
11:108
فَلَاتَكُفِىمِرْيَةٍۢمِّمَّايَعْبُدُهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ ۚمَايَعْبُدُونَإِلَّاكَمَايَعْبُدُءَابَآؤُهُممِّنقَبْلُ ۚوَإِنَّالَمُوَفُّوهُمْنَصِيبَهُمْغَيْرَمَنقُوصٍۢ
manqūṣinghayranaṣībahumlamuwaffūhumwa-innāqabluminābāuhumyaʿbudukamāillāyaʿbudūnamāhāulāiyaʿbudumimmāmir'yatinfītakufalā
So (do) notbeindoubtas to whatworshipthese (polytheists)Notthey worshipexceptas whatworshippedtheir forefathersbeforebeforeAnd indeed, Wewill surely pay them in fulltheir sharewithoutbeing diminished
11:109
وَلَقَدْءَاتَيْنَامُوسَىٱلْكِتَـٰبَفَٱخْتُلِفَفِيهِ ۚوَلَوْلَاكَلِمَةٌۭسَبَقَتْمِنرَّبِّكَلَقُضِىَبَيْنَهُمْ ۚوَإِنَّهُمْلَفِىشَكٍّۢمِّنْهُمُرِيبٍۢ
murībinmin'hushakkinlafīwa-innahumbaynahumlaquḍiyarabbikaminsabaqatkalimatunwalawlāfīhifa-ukh'tulifal-kitābamūsāātaynāwalaqad
And verilyWe gaveMusathe Bookbut differences arosethereinAnd if not(for) a Word(that) precededfromyour Lordsurely would have been judgedbetween themAnd indeed, theysurely (are) indoubtconcerning itsuspicious
11:110
وَإِنَّكُلًّۭالَّمَّالَيُوَفِّيَنَّهُمْرَبُّكَأَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ ۚإِنَّهُۥبِمَايَعْمَلُونَخَبِيرٌۭ
khabīrunyaʿmalūnabimāinnahuaʿmālahumrabbukalayuwaffiyannahumlammākullanwa-inna
And indeedto each [when]to each [when]surely will pay them in fullyour Lordtheir deedsIndeed, Heof whatthey do(is) All-Aware
11:111
فَٱسْتَقِمْكَمَآأُمِرْتَوَمَنتَابَمَعَكَوَلَاتَطْغَوْا۟ ۚإِنَّهُۥبِمَاتَعْمَلُونَبَصِيرٌۭ
baṣīruntaʿmalūnabimāinnahutaṭghawwalāmaʿakatābawamanumir'takamāfa-is'taqim
So stand firmasyou are commandedand (those) whoturn (in repentance)with youand (do) nottransgressIndeed, Heof whatyou do(is) All-Seer
11:112
وَلَاتَرْكَنُوٓا۟إِلَىٱلَّذِينَظَلَمُوا۟فَتَمَسَّكُمُٱلنَّارُوَمَالَكُممِّندُونِٱللَّهِمِنْأَوْلِيَآءَثُمَّلَاتُنصَرُونَ
tunṣarūnalāthummaawliyāaminl-lahidūniminlakumwamāl-nārufatamassakumuẓalamūalladhīnailātarkanūwalā
And (do) notinclinetothose whodo wronglest touches youthe Fireand not(is) for youbesides Allahbesides Allahbesides Allahanyprotectorsthennotyou will be helped
11:113
وَأَقِمِٱلصَّلَوٰةَطَرَفَىِٱلنَّهَارِوَزُلَفًۭامِّنَٱلَّيْلِ ۚإِنَّٱلْحَسَنَـٰتِيُذْهِبْنَٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ ۚذَٰلِكَذِكْرَىٰلِلذَّٰكِرِينَ
lildhākirīnadhik'rādhālikal-sayiātiyudh'hib'nal-ḥasanātiinnaal-layliminawazulafanl-nahāriṭarafayil-ṣalatawa-aqimi
And establishthe prayer(at the) two ends(of) the dayand (at) the approachofthe nightIndeedthe good deedsremovethe evil deedsThat(is) a reminderfor those who remember
11:114
وَٱصْبِرْفَإِنَّٱللَّهَلَايُضِيعُأَجْرَٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
l-muḥ'sinīnaajrayuḍīʿulāl-lahafa-innawa-iṣ'bir
And be patientfor indeedAllah(does) notlet go waste(the) reward(of) the good-doers
11:115
فَلَوْلَاكَانَمِنَٱلْقُرُونِمِنقَبْلِكُمْأُو۟لُوا۟بَقِيَّةٍۢيَنْهَوْنَعَنِٱلْفَسَادِفِىٱلْأَرْضِإِلَّاقَلِيلًۭامِّمَّنْأَنجَيْنَامِنْهُمْ ۗوَٱتَّبَعَٱلَّذِينَظَلَمُوا۟مَآأُتْرِفُوا۟فِيهِوَكَانُوا۟مُجْرِمِينَ
muj'rimīnawakānūfīhiut'rifūmāẓalamūalladhīnawa-ittabaʿamin'humanjaynāmimmanqalīlanillāl-arḍifīl-fasādiʿaniyanhawnabaqiyyatinulūqablikumminl-qurūniminakānafalawlā
So why nothad beenofthe generationsbefore youbefore youthose possessing a remnantthose possessing a remnantforbiddingfromthe corruptioninthe earthexcepta fewof thoseWe savedamong themBut followedthose whodid wrongwhatluxury they were giventhereinand they werecriminals
11:116
وَمَاكَانَرَبُّكَلِيُهْلِكَٱلْقُرَىٰبِظُلْمٍۢوَأَهْلُهَامُصْلِحُونَ
muṣ'liḥūnawa-ahluhābiẓul'minl-qurāliyuh'likarabbukakānawamā
And notwouldyour Lorddestroythe citiesunjustlywhile its people(were) reformers
11:117
وَلَوْشَآءَرَبُّكَلَجَعَلَٱلنَّاسَأُمَّةًۭوَٰحِدَةًۭ ۖوَلَايَزَالُونَمُخْتَلِفِينَ
mukh'talifīnayazālūnawalāwāḥidatanummatanl-nāsalajaʿalarabbukashāawalaw
And ifyour Lord (had) willedyour Lord (had) willedsurely He (could) have madethe mankindone communityone communitybut notthey will ceaseto differ
11:118
إِلَّامَنرَّحِمَرَبُّكَ ۚوَلِذَٰلِكَخَلَقَهُمْ ۗوَتَمَّتْكَلِمَةُرَبِّكَلَأَمْلَأَنَّجَهَنَّمَمِنَٱلْجِنَّةِوَٱلنَّاسِأَجْمَعِينَ
ajmaʿīnawal-nāsil-jinatiminajahannamala-amla-annarabbikakalimatuwatammatkhalaqahumwalidhālikarabbukaraḥimamanillā
Except(on) whomyour Lord has bestowed Mercyyour Lord has bestowed Mercyand for thatHe created themAnd will be fulfilled(the) Word of your Lord(the) Word of your LordSurely I will fillHellwiththe Jinnand the menall together
11:119
وَكُلًّۭانَّقُصُّعَلَيْكَمِنْأَنۢبَآءِٱلرُّسُلِمَانُثَبِّتُبِهِۦفُؤَادَكَ ۚوَجَآءَكَفِىهَـٰذِهِٱلْحَقُّوَمَوْعِظَةٌۭوَذِكْرَىٰلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
lil'mu'minīnawadhik'rāwamawʿiẓatunl-ḥaquhādhihifīwajāakafuādakabihinuthabbitumāl-rusulianbāiminʿalaykanaquṣṣuwakullan
And eachWe relateto youof(the) news(of) the Messengers(for) thatWe may make firmwith ityour heartAnd has come to youinthisthe truthand an admonitionand a reminderfor the believers
11:120
وَقُللِّلَّذِينَلَايُؤْمِنُونَٱعْمَلُوا۟عَلَىٰمَكَانَتِكُمْإِنَّاعَـٰمِلُونَ
ʿāmilūnainnāmakānatikumʿalāiʿ'malūyu'minūnalālilladhīnawaqul
And sayto those who(do) notbelieveWork(according) toyour positionindeed, we(are also) working
11:121
وَٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟إِنَّامُنتَظِرُونَ
muntaẓirūnainnāwa-intaẓirū
And waitindeed, we(are) ones who wait
11:122
وَلِلَّهِغَيْبُٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِوَإِلَيْهِيُرْجَعُٱلْأَمْرُكُلُّهُۥفَٱعْبُدْهُوَتَوَكَّلْعَلَيْهِ ۚوَمَارَبُّكَبِغَـٰفِلٍعَمَّاتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnaʿammābighāfilinrabbukawamāʿalayhiwatawakkalfa-uʿ'bud'hukulluhul-amruyur'jaʿuwa-ilayhiwal-arḍil-samāwātighaybuwalillahi
And for Allah(is the) unseen(of) the heavensand the earthand to Himwill be returnedthe matterall (of) itso worship Himand put your trustupon HimAnd your Lord is notAnd your Lord is notunawareof whatyou do
11:123
Basmala
الٓر ۚتِلْكَءَايَـٰتُٱلْكِتَـٰبِٱلْمُبِينِ
l-mubīnil-kitābiāyātutil'kaalif-lam-ra
Alif Laam RaThese(are the) Verses(of) the Book[the] clear
12:1
إِنَّآأَنزَلْنَـٰهُقُرْءَٰنًاعَرَبِيًّۭالَّعَلَّكُمْتَعْقِلُونَ
taʿqilūnalaʿallakumʿarabiyyanqur'ānananzalnāhuinnā
Indeed, WeWe have sent it down(as) a Quran in Arabic(as) a Quran in Arabicso that you mayunderstand
12:2
نَحْنُنَقُصُّعَلَيْكَأَحْسَنَٱلْقَصَصِبِمَآأَوْحَيْنَآإِلَيْكَهَـٰذَاٱلْقُرْءَانَوَإِنكُنتَمِنقَبْلِهِۦلَمِنَٱلْغَـٰفِلِينَ
l-ghāfilīnalaminaqablihiminkuntawa-inl-qur'ānahādhāilaykaawḥaynābimāl-qaṣaṣiaḥsanaʿalaykanaquṣṣunaḥnu
Werelateto youthe bestof the narrationsin whatWe have revealedto you(of) thisthe Quranalthoughyou werebefore itbefore itsurely amongthe unaware
12:3
إِذْقَالَيُوسُفُلِأَبِيهِيَـٰٓأَبَتِإِنِّىرَأَيْتُأَحَدَعَشَرَكَوْكَبًۭاوَٱلشَّمْسَوَٱلْقَمَرَرَأَيْتُهُمْلِىسَـٰجِدِينَ
sājidīnalīra-aytuhumwal-qamarawal-shamsakawkabanʿasharaaḥadara-aytuinnīyāabatili-abīhiyūsufuqālaidh
WhensaidYusufto his fatherO my fatherIndeed, II sawelevenelevenstarsand the sunand the moonI saw themto meprostrating
12:4
قَالَيَـٰبُنَىَّلَاتَقْصُصْرُءْيَاكَعَلَىٰٓإِخْوَتِكَفَيَكِيدُوا۟لَكَكَيْدًا ۖإِنَّٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَلِلْإِنسَـٰنِعَدُوٌّۭمُّبِينٌۭ
mubīnunʿaduwwunlil'insānil-shayṭānainnakaydanlakafayakīdūikh'watikaʿalāru'yākataqṣuṣlāyābunayyaqāla
He saidO my son(Do) notrelateyour visiontoyour brotherslest they planagainst youa plotIndeedthe Shaitaan(is) to manan enemyopen
12:5
وَكَذَٰلِكَيَجْتَبِيكَرَبُّكَوَيُعَلِّمُكَمِنتَأْوِيلِٱلْأَحَادِيثِوَيُتِمُّنِعْمَتَهُۥعَلَيْكَوَعَلَىٰٓءَالِيَعْقُوبَكَمَآأَتَمَّهَاعَلَىٰٓأَبَوَيْكَمِنقَبْلُإِبْرَٰهِيمَوَإِسْحَـٰقَ ۚإِنَّرَبَّكَعَلِيمٌحَكِيمٌۭ
ḥakīmunʿalīmunrabbakainnawa-is'ḥāqaib'rāhīmaqabluminabawaykaʿalāatammahākamāyaʿqūbaāliwaʿalāʿalaykaniʿ'matahuwayutimmul-aḥādīthitawīliminwayuʿallimukarabbukayajtabīkawakadhālika
And thuswill choose youyour Lordand will teach youof(the) interpretation(of) the narrativesand completeHis Favoron youand on(the) family(of) YaqubasHe completed itonyour two forefathersbefore before Ibrahimand IsaacIndeedyour Lord(is) All-KnowerAll-Wise
12:6
۞ لَّقَدْكَانَفِىيُوسُفَوَإِخْوَتِهِۦٓءَايَـٰتٌۭلِّلسَّآئِلِينَ
lilssāilīnaāyātunwa-ikh'watihiyūsufafīkānalaqad
CertainlywereinYusufand his brotherssignsfor those who ask
12:7
إِذْقَالُوا۟لَيُوسُفُوَأَخُوهُأَحَبُّإِلَىٰٓأَبِينَامِنَّاوَنَحْنُعُصْبَةٌإِنَّأَبَانَالَفِىضَلَـٰلٍۢمُّبِينٍ
mubīninḍalālinlafīabānāinnaʿuṣ'batunwanaḥnuminnāabīnāilāaḥabbuwa-akhūhulayūsufuqālūidh
Whenthey saidSurely Yusufand his brother(are) more belovedtoour fatherthan wewhile we(are) a groupIndeedour father(is) surely inan errorclear
12:8
ٱقْتُلُوا۟يُوسُفَأَوِٱطْرَحُوهُأَرْضًۭايَخْلُلَكُمْوَجْهُأَبِيكُمْوَتَكُونُوا۟مِنۢبَعْدِهِۦقَوْمًۭاصَـٰلِحِينَ
ṣāliḥīnaqawmanbaʿdihiminwatakūnūabīkumwajhulakumyakhluarḍaniṭ'raḥūhuawiyūsufauq'tulū
KillYusuforcast him(to) a landso will be freefor you(the) face(of) your fatherand you will beafter thatafter thata peoplerighteous
12:9
قَالَقَآئِلٌۭمِّنْهُمْلَاتَقْتُلُوا۟يُوسُفَوَأَلْقُوهُفِىغَيَـٰبَتِٱلْجُبِّيَلْتَقِطْهُبَعْضُٱلسَّيَّارَةِإِنكُنتُمْفَـٰعِلِينَ
fāʿilīnakuntuminl-sayāratibaʿḍuyaltaqiṭ'hul-jubighayābatifīwa-alqūhuyūsufataqtulūlāmin'humqāilunqāla
Saida speakeramong them(Do) notkillYusufbut throw himinthe bottom(of) the wellwill pick himsome[the] caravanifyou aredoing
12:10
قَالُوا۟يَـٰٓأَبَانَامَالَكَلَاتَأْمَ۫نَّاعَلَىٰيُوسُفَوَإِنَّالَهُۥلَنَـٰصِحُونَ
lanāṣiḥūnalahuwa-innāyūsufaʿalātamannālālakamāyāabānāqālū
They saidO our fatherWhy(do) younottrust uswithYusufwhile indeed, we(are) for himsurely well-wishers
12:11
أَرْسِلْهُمَعَنَاغَدًۭايَرْتَعْوَيَلْعَبْوَإِنَّالَهُۥلَحَـٰفِظُونَ
laḥāfiẓūnalahuwa-innāwayalʿabyartaʿghadanmaʿanāarsil'hu
Send himwith ustomorrow(to) enjoyand playAnd indeed, wefor him(will) surely (be) guardians
12:12
قَالَإِنِّىلَيَحْزُنُنِىٓأَنتَذْهَبُوا۟بِهِۦوَأَخَافُأَنيَأْكُلَهُٱلذِّئْبُوَأَنتُمْعَنْهُغَـٰفِلُونَ
ghāfilūnaʿanhuwa-antuml-dhi'buyakulahuanwa-akhāfubihitadhhabūanlayaḥzununīinnīqāla
He saidIndeed, [I]it surely saddens methatyou should take himyou should take himand I fearthatwould eat hima wolfwhile youof him(are) unaware
12:13
قَالُوا۟لَئِنْأَكَلَهُٱلذِّئْبُوَنَحْنُعُصْبَةٌإِنَّآإِذًۭالَّخَـٰسِرُونَ
lakhāsirūnaidhaninnāʿuṣ'batunwanaḥnul-dhi'buakalahula-inqālū
They saidIfeats himthe wolfwhile we(are) a groupindeed, wethensurely (would be) losers
12:14
فَلَمَّاذَهَبُوا۟بِهِۦوَأَجْمَعُوٓا۟أَنيَجْعَلُوهُفِىغَيَـٰبَتِٱلْجُبِّ ۚوَأَوْحَيْنَآإِلَيْهِلَتُنَبِّئَنَّهُمبِأَمْرِهِمْهَـٰذَاوَهُمْلَايَشْعُرُونَ
yashʿurūnalāwahumhādhābi-amrihimlatunabbi-annahumilayhiwa-awḥaynāl-jubighayābatifīyajʿalūhuanwa-ajmaʿūbihidhahabūfalammā
So whenthey took himthey took himand agreedthatthey put himin(the) bottom(of) the wellBut We inspiredto himSurely, you will inform themabout this affairabout this affairwhile they(do) notperceive
12:15
وَجَآءُوٓأَبَاهُمْعِشَآءًۭيَبْكُونَ
yabkūnaʿishāanabāhumwajāū
And they came(to) their fatherearly at nightweeping
12:16
قَالُوا۟يَـٰٓأَبَانَآإِنَّاذَهَبْنَانَسْتَبِقُوَتَرَكْنَايُوسُفَعِندَمَتَـٰعِنَافَأَكَلَهُٱلذِّئْبُ ۖوَمَآأَنتَبِمُؤْمِنٍۢلَّنَاوَلَوْكُنَّاصَـٰدِقِينَ
ṣādiqīnakunnāwalawlanābimu'mininantawamāl-dhi'bufa-akalahumatāʿināʿindayūsufawataraknānastabiqudhahabnāinnāyāabānāqālū
They saidO our fatherIndeed, we[we] wentracing each otherand we leftYusufwithour possessionsand ate himthe wolfBut notyou(will) believeuseven ifwe aretruthful
12:17
وَجَآءُوعَلَىٰقَمِيصِهِۦبِدَمٍۢكَذِبٍۢ ۚقَالَبَلْسَوَّلَتْلَكُمْأَنفُسُكُمْأَمْرًۭا ۖفَصَبْرٌۭجَمِيلٌۭ ۖوَٱللَّهُٱلْمُسْتَعَانُعَلَىٰمَاتَصِفُونَ
taṣifūnamāʿalāl-mus'taʿānuwal-lahujamīlunfaṣabrunamrananfusukumlakumsawwalatbalqālakadhibinbidaminqamīṣihiʿalāwajāū
And they broughtuponhis shirtwith false bloodwith false bloodHe saidNayhas enticed youhas enticed youyour souls(to) a matterso patience(is) beautifulAnd Allah(is) the One sought for helpagainstwhatyou describe
12:18
وَجَآءَتْسَيَّارَةٌۭفَأَرْسَلُوا۟وَارِدَهُمْفَأَدْلَىٰدَلْوَهُۥ ۖقَالَيَـٰبُشْرَىٰهَـٰذَاغُلَـٰمٌۭ ۚوَأَسَرُّوهُبِضَـٰعَةًۭ ۚوَٱللَّهُعَلِيمٌۢبِمَايَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnabimāʿalīmunwal-lahubiḍāʿatanwa-asarrūhughulāmunhādhāyābush'rāqāladalwahufa-adlāwāridahumfa-arsalūsayyāratunwajāat
And there camea caravanand they senttheir water drawerthen he let downhis bucketHe saidO good newsThis(is) a boyAnd they hid him(as) a merchandiseAnd Allah(is) All-Knowerof whatthey do
12:19
وَشَرَوْهُبِثَمَنٍۭبَخْسٍۢدَرَٰهِمَمَعْدُودَةٍۢوَكَانُوا۟فِيهِمِنَٱلزَّٰهِدِينَ
l-zāhidīnaminafīhiwakānūmaʿdūdatindarāhimabakhsinbithamaninwasharawhu
And they sold himfor a pricevery lowdirhamsfewand they wereabout himofthose keen to give up
12:20
وَقَالَٱلَّذِىٱشْتَرَىٰهُمِنمِّصْرَلِٱمْرَأَتِهِۦٓأَكْرِمِىمَثْوَىٰهُعَسَىٰٓأَنيَنفَعَنَآأَوْنَتَّخِذَهُۥوَلَدًۭا ۚوَكَذَٰلِكَمَكَّنَّالِيُوسُفَفِىٱلْأَرْضِوَلِنُعَلِّمَهُۥمِنتَأْوِيلِٱلْأَحَادِيثِ ۚوَٱللَّهُغَالِبٌعَلَىٰٓأَمْرِهِۦوَلَـٰكِنَّأَكْثَرَٱلنَّاسِلَايَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnalāl-nāsiaktharawalākinnaamrihiʿalāghālibunwal-lahul-aḥādīthitawīliminwalinuʿallimahul-arḍifīliyūsufamakkannāwakadhālikawaladannattakhidhahuawyanfaʿanāanʿasāmathwāhuakrimīli-im'ra-atihimiṣ'raminish'tarāhualladhīwaqāla
And saidthe one whobought himofEgyptto his wifeMake comfortablehis stayPerhapsthat(he) will benefit usorwe will take him(as) a sonAnd thusWe establishedYusufinthe landthat We might teach him(the) interpretation of(the) interpretation ofthe eventsAnd Allah(is) PredominantoverHis affairsbutmost(of) the people(do) notknow
12:21
وَلَمَّابَلَغَأَشُدَّهُۥٓءَاتَيْنَـٰهُحُكْمًۭاوَعِلْمًۭا ۚوَكَذَٰلِكَنَجْزِىٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
l-muḥ'sinīnanajzīwakadhālikawaʿil'manḥuk'manātaynāhuashuddahubalaghawalammā
And whenhe reachedhis maturityWe gave himwisdomand knowledgeAnd thusWe rewardthe good-doers
12:22
وَرَٰوَدَتْهُٱلَّتِىهُوَفِىبَيْتِهَاعَننَّفْسِهِۦوَغَلَّقَتِٱلْأَبْوَٰبَوَقَالَتْهَيْتَلَكَ ۚقَالَمَعَاذَٱللَّهِ ۖإِنَّهُۥرَبِّىٓأَحْسَنَمَثْوَاىَ ۖإِنَّهُۥلَايُفْلِحُٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ
l-ẓālimūnayuf'liḥulāinnahumathwāyaaḥsanarabbīinnahul-lahimaʿādhaqālalakahaytawaqālatl-abwābawaghallaqatinafsihiʿanbaytihāfīhuwaallatīwarāwadathu
And sought to seduce himshe whohe (was)inher housefromhis selfAnd she closedthe doorsand she saidCome onyouHe saidI seek refuge in AllahI seek refuge in AllahIndeed, he(is) my lord(who has) made goodmy stayIndeednotwill succeedthe wrongdoers
12:23
وَلَقَدْهَمَّتْبِهِۦ ۖوَهَمَّبِهَالَوْلَآأَنرَّءَابُرْهَـٰنَرَبِّهِۦ ۚكَذَٰلِكَلِنَصْرِفَعَنْهُٱلسُّوٓءَوَٱلْفَحْشَآءَ ۚإِنَّهُۥمِنْعِبَادِنَاٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
l-mukh'laṣīnaʿibādināmininnahuwal-faḥshāal-sūaʿanhulinaṣrifakadhālikarabbihibur'hānaraāanlawlābihāwahammabihihammatwalaqad
And certainlyshe did desirehimand he would have desiredherif notthathe sawthe proof(of) his LordThusthat We might avertfrom himthe eviland the immoralityIndeed, he(was) ofOur slavesthe sincere
12:24
وَٱسْتَبَقَاٱلْبَابَوَقَدَّتْقَمِيصَهُۥمِندُبُرٍۢوَأَلْفَيَاسَيِّدَهَالَدَاٱلْبَابِ ۚقَالَتْمَاجَزَآءُمَنْأَرَادَبِأَهْلِكَسُوٓءًاإِلَّآأَنيُسْجَنَأَوْعَذَابٌأَلِيمٌۭ
alīmunʿadhābunawyus'janaanillāsūanbi-ahlikaarādamanjazāumāqālatl-bābiladāsayyidahāwa-alfayāduburinminqamīṣahuwaqaddatl-bābawa-is'tabaqā
And they both raced(to) the doorand she torehis shirtfromthe backand they both foundher husbandatthe doorShe saidWhat(is) the recompense(of one) whointendedfor your wifeevilexceptthathe be imprisonedora punishmentpainful
12:25
قَالَهِىَرَٰوَدَتْنِىعَننَّفْسِى ۚوَشَهِدَشَاهِدٌۭمِّنْأَهْلِهَآإِنكَانَقَمِيصُهُۥقُدَّمِنقُبُلٍۢفَصَدَقَتْوَهُوَمِنَٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ
l-kādhibīnaminawahuwafaṣadaqatqubulinminquddaqamīṣuhukānainahlihāminshāhidunwashahidanafsīʿanrāwadatnīhiyaqāla
He saidShesought to seduce meaboutmyselfAnd testifieda witnessofher familyIf[is]his shirt(is) tornfromthe frontthen she has spoken the truthand he(is) ofthe liars
12:26
وَإِنكَانَقَمِيصُهُۥقُدَّمِندُبُرٍۢفَكَذَبَتْوَهُوَمِنَٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
l-ṣādiqīnaminawahuwafakadhabatduburinminquddaqamīṣuhukānawa-in
But if[is]his shirt(is) tornfrom(the) backthen she has liedand he(is) ofthe truthful
12:27
فَلَمَّارَءَاقَمِيصَهُۥقُدَّمِندُبُرٍۢقَالَإِنَّهُۥمِنكَيْدِكُنَّ ۖإِنَّكَيْدَكُنَّعَظِيمٌۭ
ʿaẓīmunkaydakunnainnakaydikunnamininnahuqāladuburinminquddaqamīṣahuraāfalammā
So whenhe sawhis shirttornfrom(the) backhe saidIndeed, it(is) ofyour plotIndeedyour plot(is) great
12:28
يُوسُفُأَعْرِضْعَنْهَـٰذَا ۚوَٱسْتَغْفِرِىلِذَنۢبِكِ ۖإِنَّكِكُنتِمِنَٱلْخَاطِـِٔينَ
l-khāṭiīnaminakuntiinnakilidhanbikiwa-is'taghfirīhādhāʿanaʿriḍyūsufu
Yusufturn awayfromthisAnd ask forgivenessfor your sinIndeed, youareofthe sinful
12:29
۞ وَقَالَنِسْوَةٌۭفِىٱلْمَدِينَةِٱمْرَأَتُٱلْعَزِيزِتُرَٰوِدُفَتَىٰهَاعَننَّفْسِهِۦ ۖقَدْشَغَفَهَاحُبًّا ۖإِنَّالَنَرَىٰهَافِىضَلَـٰلٍۢمُّبِينٍۢ
mubīninḍalālinfīlanarāhāinnāḥubbanshaghafahāqadnafsihiʿanfatāhāturāwidul-ʿazīziim'ra-atul-madīnatifīnis'watunwaqāla
And saidwomeninthe cityThe wife ofAziz(is) seeking to seduceher slave boyabouthimselfindeedhe has impassioned her(with) loveIndeed, we[we] surely see herinan errorclear
12:30
فَلَمَّاسَمِعَتْبِمَكْرِهِنَّأَرْسَلَتْإِلَيْهِنَّوَأَعْتَدَتْلَهُنَّمُتَّكَـًۭٔاوَءَاتَتْكُلَّوَٰحِدَةٍۢمِّنْهُنَّسِكِّينًۭاوَقَالَتِٱخْرُجْعَلَيْهِنَّ ۖفَلَمَّارَأَيْنَهُۥٓأَكْبَرْنَهُۥوَقَطَّعْنَأَيْدِيَهُنَّوَقُلْنَحَـٰشَلِلَّهِمَاهَـٰذَابَشَرًاإِنْهَـٰذَآإِلَّامَلَكٌۭكَرِيمٌۭ
karīmunmalakunillāhādhāinbasharanhādhāmālillahiḥāshawaqul'naaydiyahunnawaqaṭṭaʿnaakbarnahura-aynahufalammāʿalayhinnaukh'rujwaqālatisikkīnanmin'hunnawāḥidatinkullawaātatmuttaka-anlahunnawa-aʿtadatilayhinnaarsalatbimakrihinnasamiʿatfalammā
So whenshe heardof their schemingshe sentfor themand she preparedfor thema banquetand she gaveeachoneof thema knifeand she saidCome outbefore themThen whenthey saw himthey greatly admired himand cuttheir handsthey saidForbidAllahnot(is) thisa mannot(is) thisbutan angelnoble
12:31
قَالَتْفَذَٰلِكُنَّٱلَّذِىلُمْتُنَّنِىفِيهِ ۖوَلَقَدْرَٰوَدتُّهُۥعَننَّفْسِهِۦفَٱسْتَعْصَمَ ۖوَلَئِنلَّمْيَفْعَلْمَآءَامُرُهُۥلَيُسْجَنَنَّوَلَيَكُونًۭامِّنَٱلصَّـٰغِرِينَ
l-ṣāghirīnaminawalayakūnanlayus'janannaāmuruhumāyafʿallamwala-infa-is'taʿṣamanafsihiʿanrāwadttuhuwalaqadfīhilum'tunnanīalladhīfadhālikunnaqālat
She saidThat(is) the oneyou blamed meabout himAnd certainlyI sought to seduce him[from][himself]but he saved himselfand ifnothe doeswhatI order himsurely, he will be imprisonedand certainly will beofthose who are disgraced
12:32
قَالَرَبِّٱلسِّجْنُأَحَبُّإِلَىَّمِمَّايَدْعُونَنِىٓإِلَيْهِ ۖوَإِلَّاتَصْرِفْعَنِّىكَيْدَهُنَّأَصْبُإِلَيْهِنَّوَأَكُنمِّنَٱلْجَـٰهِلِينَ
l-jāhilīnaminawa-akunilayhinnaaṣbukaydahunnaʿannītaṣrifwa-illāilayhiyadʿūnanīmimmāilayyaaḥabbul-sij'nurabbiqāla
He saidMy Lordthe prison(is) dearerto methan whatthey invite meto itAnd unlessYou turn awayfrom metheir plotI might inclinetowards themand [I] beofthe ignorant
12:33
فَٱسْتَجَابَلَهُۥرَبُّهُۥفَصَرَفَعَنْهُكَيْدَهُنَّ ۚإِنَّهُۥهُوَٱلسَّمِيعُٱلْعَلِيمُ
l-ʿalīmul-samīʿuhuwainnahukaydahunnaʿanhufaṣarafarabbuhulahufa-is'tajāba
So respondedto himhis Lordand turned awayfrom himtheir plotIndeed, [He]He(is) All-HearerAll-Knower
12:34
ثُمَّبَدَالَهُممِّنۢبَعْدِمَارَأَوُا۟ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِلَيَسْجُنُنَّهُۥحَتَّىٰحِينٍۢ
ḥīninḥattālayasjununnahul-āyātira-awūmābaʿdiminlahumbadāthumma
Then(it) appearedto themafterafter[what]they had seenthe signssurely they should imprison himuntila time
12:35
وَدَخَلَمَعَهُٱلسِّجْنَفَتَيَانِ ۖقَالَأَحَدُهُمَآإِنِّىٓأَرَىٰنِىٓأَعْصِرُخَمْرًۭا ۖوَقَالَٱلْـَٔاخَرُإِنِّىٓأَرَىٰنِىٓأَحْمِلُفَوْقَرَأْسِىخُبْزًۭاتَأْكُلُٱلطَّيْرُمِنْهُ ۖنَبِّئْنَابِتَأْوِيلِهِۦٓ ۖإِنَّانَرَىٰكَمِنَٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
l-muḥ'sinīnaminanarākainnābitawīlihinabbi'nāmin'hul-ṭayrutakulukhub'zanrasīfawqaaḥmiluarānīinnīl-ākharuwaqālakhamranaʿṣiruarānīinnīaḥaduhumāqālafatayānil-sij'namaʿahuwadakhala
And enteredwith him(in) the prisontwo young menSaidone of themIndeed, I[I] see myselfpressingwineAnd saidthe otherIndeed, I[I] see myself[I am] carryingovermy headbread(were) eatingthe birdsfrom itInform usof its interpretationindeed, we[we] see youofthe good-doers
12:36
قَالَلَايَأْتِيكُمَاطَعَامٌۭتُرْزَقَانِهِۦٓإِلَّانَبَّأْتُكُمَابِتَأْوِيلِهِۦقَبْلَأَنيَأْتِيَكُمَا ۚذَٰلِكُمَامِمَّاعَلَّمَنِىرَبِّىٓ ۚإِنِّىتَرَكْتُمِلَّةَقَوْمٍۢلَّايُؤْمِنُونَبِٱللَّهِوَهُمبِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِهُمْكَـٰفِرُونَ
kāfirūnahumbil-ākhiratiwahumbil-lahiyu'minūnalāqawminmillatataraktuinnīrabbīʿallamanīmimmādhālikumāyatiyakumāanqablabitawīlihinabbatukumāillātur'zaqānihiṭaʿāmunyatīkumālāqāla
He saidNot(will) come to both of youfoodyou are provided withbutI will inform both of youof its interpretationbefore[that][it] comes to both of youThat(is) of whathas taught memy LordIndeed, I[I] abandon(the) religion(of) a peoplenotthey believein Allahand theyin the Hereafter[they](are) disbelievers
12:37
وَٱتَّبَعْتُمِلَّةَءَابَآءِىٓإِبْرَٰهِيمَوَإِسْحَـٰقَوَيَعْقُوبَ ۚمَاكَانَلَنَآأَننُّشْرِكَبِٱللَّهِمِنشَىْءٍۢ ۚذَٰلِكَمِنفَضْلِٱللَّهِعَلَيْنَاوَعَلَىٱلنَّاسِوَلَـٰكِنَّأَكْثَرَٱلنَّاسِلَايَشْكُرُونَ
yashkurūnalāl-nāsiaktharawalākinnal-nāsiwaʿalāʿalaynāl-lahifaḍlimindhālikashayinminbil-lahinush'rikaanlanākānamāwayaʿqūbawa-is'ḥāqaib'rāhīmaābāīmillatawa-ittabaʿtu
And I follow(the) religion(of) my forefathersIbrahimand Isaacand YaqubNotwasfor usthatwe associatewith AllahanythingThat(is) from(the) Grace(of) Allahupon usand uponthe mankindbutmost(of) the men(are) notgrateful
12:38
يَـٰصَـٰحِبَىِٱلسِّجْنِءَأَرْبَابٌۭمُّتَفَرِّقُونَخَيْرٌأَمِٱللَّهُٱلْوَٰحِدُٱلْقَهَّارُ
l-qahārul-wāḥidul-lahuamikhayrunmutafarriqūnaa-arbābunl-sij'niyāṣāḥibayi
O my two companions(of) the prisonAre lordsseparatebetterorAllahthe Onethe Irresistible
12:39
مَاتَعْبُدُونَمِندُونِهِۦٓإِلَّآأَسْمَآءًۭسَمَّيْتُمُوهَآأَنتُمْوَءَابَآؤُكُممَّآأَنزَلَٱللَّهُبِهَامِنسُلْطَـٰنٍ ۚإِنِٱلْحُكْمُإِلَّالِلَّهِ ۚأَمَرَأَلَّاتَعْبُدُوٓا۟إِلَّآإِيَّاهُ ۚذَٰلِكَٱلدِّينُٱلْقَيِّمُوَلَـٰكِنَّأَكْثَرَٱلنَّاسِلَايَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnalāl-nāsiaktharawalākinnal-qayimul-dīnudhālikaiyyāhuillātaʿbudūallāamaralillahiillāl-ḥuk'muinisul'ṭāninminbihāl-lahuanzalamāwaābāukumantumsammaytumūhāasmāanillādūnihimintaʿbudūnamā
Notyou worshipbesides Himbesides Himbutnameswhich you have named themyouand your forefathersnot(has) sent downAllahfor itanyauthorityNot(is) the commandbutfor AllahHe has commandedthat notyou worshipbutHim AloneThat(is) the religionthe rightbutmost[the] men(do) notknow
12:40
يَـٰصَـٰحِبَىِٱلسِّجْنِأَمَّآأَحَدُكُمَافَيَسْقِىرَبَّهُۥخَمْرًۭا ۖوَأَمَّاٱلْـَٔاخَرُفَيُصْلَبُفَتَأْكُلُٱلطَّيْرُمِنرَّأْسِهِۦ ۚقُضِىَٱلْأَمْرُٱلَّذِىفِيهِتَسْتَفْتِيَانِ
tastaftiyānifīhialladhīl-amruquḍiyarasihiminl-ṭayrufatakulufayuṣ'labul-ākharuwa-ammākhamranrabbahufayasqīaḥadukumāammāl-sij'niyāṣāḥibayi
O my two companions(of) the prisonAs forone of youhe will give drink(to) his masterwineand as forthe otherhe will be crucifiedand will eatthe birdsfromhis headHas been decreedthe matterabout whichabout whichyou both inquire
12:41
وَقَالَلِلَّذِىظَنَّأَنَّهُۥنَاجٍۢمِّنْهُمَاٱذْكُرْنِىعِندَرَبِّكَفَأَنسَىٰهُٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُذِكْرَرَبِّهِۦفَلَبِثَفِىٱلسِّجْنِبِضْعَسِنِينَ
sinīnabiḍ'ʿal-sij'nifīfalabitharabbihidhik'ral-shayṭānufa-ansāhurabbikaʿindaudh'kur'nīmin'humānājinannahuẓannalilladhīwaqāla
And he saidto the one whomhe thoughtthat he(would be) savedof both of themMention metoyour masterBut made him forgetthe Shaitaan(the) mention(to) his masterso he remainedinthe prisonseveralyears
12:42
وَقَالَٱلْمَلِكُإِنِّىٓأَرَىٰسَبْعَبَقَرَٰتٍۢسِمَانٍۢيَأْكُلُهُنَّسَبْعٌعِجَافٌۭوَسَبْعَسُنۢبُلَـٰتٍخُضْرٍۢوَأُخَرَيَابِسَـٰتٍۢ ۖيَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلْمَلَأُأَفْتُونِىفِىرُءْيَـٰىَإِنكُنتُمْلِلرُّءْيَاتَعْبُرُونَ
taʿburūnalilrru'yākuntuminru'yāyafīaftūnīl-mala-uyāayyuhāyābisātinwa-ukharakhuḍ'rinsunbulātinwasabʿaʿijāfunsabʿunyakuluhunnasimāninbaqarātinsabʿaarāinnīl-malikuwaqāla
And saidthe kingIndeed, I[I] have seensevencowsfateating themsevenlean onesand sevenears (of corn)greenand othersdryOchiefsExplain to meaboutmy visionifyou canof visionsinterpret
12:43
قَالُوٓا۟أَضْغَـٰثُأَحْلَـٰمٍۢ ۖوَمَانَحْنُبِتَأْوِيلِٱلْأَحْلَـٰمِبِعَـٰلِمِينَ
biʿālimīnal-aḥlāmibitawīlinaḥnuwamāaḥlāminaḍghāthuqālū
They saidConfuseddreamsand notwe(are) in the interpretation(of) the dreamslearned
12:44
وَقَالَٱلَّذِىنَجَامِنْهُمَاوَٱدَّكَرَبَعْدَأُمَّةٍأَنَا۠أُنَبِّئُكُمبِتَأْوِيلِهِۦفَأَرْسِلُونِ
fa-arsilūnibitawīlihiunabbi-ukumanāummatinbaʿdawa-iddakaramin'humānajāalladhīwaqāla
But saidthe one whowas savedof the twoand rememberedaftera periodI[I] will inform youof its interpretationso send me forth
12:45
يُوسُفُأَيُّهَاٱلصِّدِّيقُأَفْتِنَافِىسَبْعِبَقَرَٰتٍۢسِمَانٍۢيَأْكُلُهُنَّسَبْعٌعِجَافٌۭوَسَبْعِسُنۢبُلَـٰتٍخُضْرٍۢوَأُخَرَيَابِسَـٰتٍۢلَّعَلِّىٓأَرْجِعُإِلَىٱلنَّاسِلَعَلَّهُمْيَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnalaʿallahuml-nāsiilāarjiʿulaʿallīyābisātinwa-ukharakhuḍ'rinsunbulātinwasabʿiʿijāfunsabʿunyakuluhunnasimāninbaqarātinsabʿifīaftināl-ṣidīquayyuhāyūsufu
YusufOthe truthful oneExplain to usabout(the) sevencowsfateating themsevenlean onesand sevenears (of corn)greenand otherdrythat I mayreturntothe peopleso that they mayknow
12:46
قَالَتَزْرَعُونَسَبْعَسِنِينَدَأَبًۭافَمَاحَصَدتُّمْفَذَرُوهُفِىسُنۢبُلِهِۦٓإِلَّاقَلِيلًۭامِّمَّاتَأْكُلُونَ
takulūnamimmāqalīlanillāsunbulihifīfadharūhuḥaṣadttumfamāda-abansinīnasabʿatazraʿūnaqāla
He saidYou will sow(for) sevenyearsas usualand that whichyou reapso leave itinits earsexcepta littlefrom whichyou (will) eat
12:47
ثُمَّيَأْتِىمِنۢبَعْدِذَٰلِكَسَبْعٌۭشِدَادٌۭيَأْكُلْنَمَاقَدَّمْتُمْلَهُنَّإِلَّاقَلِيلًۭامِّمَّاتُحْصِنُونَ
tuḥ'ṣinūnamimmāqalīlanillālahunnaqaddamtummāyakul'nashidādunsabʿundhālikabaʿdiminyatīthumma
Thenwill comeafterafterthatsevenhard (years)(which will) consumewhatyou advancedfor themexcepta littleof whatyou (will) store
12:48
ثُمَّيَأْتِىمِنۢبَعْدِذَٰلِكَعَامٌۭفِيهِيُغَاثُٱلنَّاسُوَفِيهِيَعْصِرُونَ
yaʿṣirūnawafīhil-nāsuyughāthufīhiʿāmundhālikabaʿdiminyatīthumma
Thenwill comeafterafterthata yearin itwill be given abundant rainthe peopleand in itthey will press
12:49
وَقَالَٱلْمَلِكُٱئْتُونِىبِهِۦ ۖفَلَمَّاجَآءَهُٱلرَّسُولُقَالَٱرْجِعْإِلَىٰرَبِّكَفَسْـَٔلْهُمَابَالُٱلنِّسْوَةِٱلَّـٰتِىقَطَّعْنَأَيْدِيَهُنَّ ۚإِنَّرَبِّىبِكَيْدِهِنَّعَلِيمٌۭ
ʿalīmunbikaydihinnarabbīinnaaydiyahunnaqaṭṭaʿnaallātīl-nis'watibālumāfasalhurabbikailāir'jiʿqālal-rasūlujāahufalammābihii'tūnīl-malikuwaqāla
And saidthe kingBring him to meBring him to meBut whencame to himthe messengerhe saidReturntoyour lordand ask himwhat(is the) case(of) the womenwhocuttheir handsIndeedmy Lordof their plot(is) All-Knower
12:50
قَالَمَاخَطْبُكُنَّإِذْرَٰوَدتُّنَّيُوسُفَعَننَّفْسِهِۦ ۚقُلْنَحَـٰشَلِلَّهِمَاعَلِمْنَاعَلَيْهِمِنسُوٓءٍۢ ۚقَالَتِٱمْرَأَتُٱلْعَزِيزِٱلْـَٔـٰنَحَصْحَصَٱلْحَقُّأَنَا۠رَٰوَدتُّهُۥعَننَّفْسِهِۦوَإِنَّهُۥلَمِنَٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
l-ṣādiqīnalaminawa-innahunafsihiʿanrāwadttuhuanāl-ḥaquḥaṣḥaṣal-ānal-ʿazīziim'ra-atuqālatisūinminʿalayhiʿalim'nāmālillahiḥāshaqul'nanafsihiʿanyūsufarāwadttunnaidhkhaṭbukunnamāqāla
He saidWhat(was) your affairwhenyou sought to seduceYusuffromhimselfThey saidAllah forbidAllah forbidNotwe knowabout himanyevilSaid(the) wife(of) AzizNow(is) manifestthe truthIsought to seduce himfromhimselfand indeed, he(is) surely ofthe truthful
12:51
ذَٰلِكَلِيَعْلَمَأَنِّىلَمْأَخُنْهُبِٱلْغَيْبِوَأَنَّٱللَّهَلَايَهْدِىكَيْدَٱلْخَآئِنِينَ
l-khāinīnakaydayahdīlāl-lahawa-annabil-ghaybiakhun'hulamannīliyaʿlamadhālika
Thathe may knowthat Inot[I] betray himin secretand thatAllah(does) notguide(the) plan(of) the betrayers
12:52
