Basmala
الٓر ۚتِلْكَءَايَـٰتُٱلْكِتَـٰبِوَقُرْءَانٍۢمُّبِينٍۢ
mubīninwaqur'āninl-kitābiāyātutil'kaalif-lam-ra
Alif Laam RaThese(are) the Verses(of) the Bookand Quranclear
15:1
رُّبَمَايَوَدُّٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟لَوْكَانُوا۟مُسْلِمِينَ
mus'limīnakānūlawkafarūalladhīnayawaddurubamā
Perhapswill wishthose whodisbelievedifthey had beenMuslims
15:2
ذَرْهُمْيَأْكُلُوا۟وَيَتَمَتَّعُوا۟وَيُلْهِهِمُٱلْأَمَلُ ۖفَسَوْفَيَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnafasawfal-amaluwayul'hihimuwayatamattaʿūyakulūdharhum
Leave them(to) eatand enjoyand diverted themthe hopethen soonthey will come to know
15:3
وَمَآأَهْلَكْنَامِنقَرْيَةٍإِلَّاوَلَهَاكِتَابٌۭمَّعْلُومٌۭ
maʿlūmunkitābunwalahāillāqaryatinminahlaknāwamā
And notWe destroyedanytownbut(there was) for ita decreeknown
15:4
مَّاتَسْبِقُمِنْأُمَّةٍأَجَلَهَاوَمَايَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ
yastakhirūnawamāajalahāummatinmintasbiqumā
Not(can) advanceanynationits termand not(can) delay it
15:5
وَقَالُوا۟يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِىنُزِّلَعَلَيْهِٱلذِّكْرُإِنَّكَلَمَجْنُونٌۭ
lamajnūnuninnakal-dhik'ruʿalayhinuzzilaalladhīyāayyuhāwaqālū
And they sayO you(to) whomhas been sent down[on him]the Reminderindeed, you(are) surely mad
15:6
لَّوْمَاتَأْتِينَابِٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِإِنكُنتَمِنَٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
l-ṣādiqīnaminakuntainbil-malāikatitatīnāmālaw
Whynotyou bring to usthe Angelsifyou areofthe truthful
15:7
مَانُنَزِّلُٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَإِلَّابِٱلْحَقِّوَمَاكَانُوٓا۟إِذًۭامُّنظَرِينَ
munẓarīnaidhankānūwamābil-ḥaqiillāl-malāikatanunazzilumā
NotWe send downthe Angelsexceptwith the truthand notthey would bethengiven respite
15:8
إِنَّانَحْنُنَزَّلْنَاٱلذِّكْرَوَإِنَّالَهُۥلَحَـٰفِظُونَ
laḥāfiẓūnalahuwa-innāl-dhik'ranazzalnānaḥnuinnā
Indeed, WeWehave sent downthe Reminderand indeed, Weof it(are) surely Guardians
15:9
وَلَقَدْأَرْسَلْنَامِنقَبْلِكَفِىشِيَعِٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnashiyaʿifīqablikaminarsalnāwalaqad
And certainlyWe (had) sentbefore youbefore youinthe sects(of) the former (people)
15:10
وَمَايَأْتِيهِممِّنرَّسُولٍإِلَّاكَانُوا۟بِهِۦيَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
yastahziūnabihikānūillārasūlinminyatīhimwamā
And notcame to themanyMessengerbutthey didat himmock
15:11
كَذَٰلِكَنَسْلُكُهُۥفِىقُلُوبِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
l-muj'rimīnaqulūbifīnaslukuhukadhālika
ThusWe let it enterin(the) hearts(of) the criminals
15:12
لَايُؤْمِنُونَبِهِۦ ۖوَقَدْخَلَتْسُنَّةُٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnasunnatukhalatwaqadbihiyu'minūnalā
Notthey believein itand verilyhave passedthe way(s)(of) the former (people)
15:13
وَلَوْفَتَحْنَاعَلَيْهِمبَابًۭامِّنَٱلسَّمَآءِفَظَلُّوا۟فِيهِيَعْرُجُونَ
yaʿrujūnafīhifaẓallūl-samāiminabābanʿalayhimfataḥnāwalaw
And (even) ifWe openedto thema gatefromthe heavenand they were to continuetherein(to) ascend
15:14
لَقَالُوٓا۟إِنَّمَاسُكِّرَتْأَبْصَـٰرُنَابَلْنَحْنُقَوْمٌۭمَّسْحُورُونَ
masḥūrūnaqawmunnaḥnubalabṣārunāsukkiratinnamālaqālū
They would surely sayOnlyhave been dazzledour eyesNaywe(are) a peoplebewitched
15:15
وَلَقَدْجَعَلْنَافِىٱلسَّمَآءِبُرُوجًۭاوَزَيَّنَّـٰهَالِلنَّـٰظِرِينَ
lilnnāẓirīnawazayyannāhāburūjanl-samāifījaʿalnāwalaqad
And verilyWe have placedinthe heavensconstellationsand We have beautified itfor the observers
15:16
وَحَفِظْنَـٰهَامِنكُلِّشَيْطَـٰنٍۢرَّجِيمٍ
rajīminshayṭāninkulliminwaḥafiẓ'nāhā
And We have protected itfromeverydevilaccursed
15:17
إِلَّامَنِٱسْتَرَقَٱلسَّمْعَفَأَتْبَعَهُۥشِهَابٌۭمُّبِينٌۭ
mubīnunshihābunfa-atbaʿahul-samʿais'taraqamaniillā
Except(one) whostealsthe hearingthen follows hima burning flameclear
15:18
وَٱلْأَرْضَمَدَدْنَـٰهَاوَأَلْقَيْنَافِيهَارَوَٰسِىَوَأَنۢبَتْنَافِيهَامِنكُلِّشَىْءٍۢمَّوْزُونٍۢ
mawzūninshayinkulliminfīhāwa-anbatnārawāsiyafīhāwa-alqaynāmadadnāhāwal-arḍa
And the earthWe have spread itand [We] castthereinfirm mountainsand [We] caused to growthereinofeverythingwell-balanced
15:19
وَجَعَلْنَالَكُمْفِيهَامَعَـٰيِشَوَمَنلَّسْتُمْلَهُۥبِرَٰزِقِينَ
birāziqīnalahulastumwamanmaʿāyishafīhālakumwajaʿalnā
And We have madefor youthereinmeans of livingand whomyou are notfor himproviders
15:20
وَإِنمِّنشَىْءٍإِلَّاعِندَنَاخَزَآئِنُهُۥوَمَانُنَزِّلُهُۥٓإِلَّابِقَدَرٍۢمَّعْلُومٍۢ
maʿlūminbiqadarinillānunazziluhuwamākhazāinuhuʿindanāillāshayinminwa-in
And not(is) anythingbutwith Us(are) its treasuresand notWe send it downexceptin a measureknown
15:21
وَأَرْسَلْنَاٱلرِّيَـٰحَلَوَٰقِحَفَأَنزَلْنَامِنَٱلسَّمَآءِمَآءًۭفَأَسْقَيْنَـٰكُمُوهُوَمَآأَنتُمْلَهُۥبِخَـٰزِنِينَ
bikhāzinīnalahuantumwamāfa-asqaynākumūhumāanl-samāiminafa-anzalnālawāqiḥal-riyāḥawa-arsalnā
And We have sentthe windsfertilizingand We sent downfromthe skywaterand We gave it to you to drinkAnd notyouof it(are) retainers
15:22
وَإِنَّالَنَحْنُنُحْىِۦوَنُمِيتُوَنَحْنُٱلْوَٰرِثُونَ
l-wārithūnawanaḥnuwanumītunuḥ'yīlanaḥnuwa-innā
And indeed, Wesurely [We]We give lifeand We cause deathand We(are) the Inheritors
15:23
وَلَقَدْعَلِمْنَاٱلْمُسْتَقْدِمِينَمِنكُمْوَلَقَدْعَلِمْنَاٱلْمُسْتَـْٔخِرِينَ
l-mus'takhirīnaʿalim'nāwalaqadminkuml-mus'taqdimīnaʿalim'nāwalaqad
And verilyWe knowthe preceding onesamong youand verilyWe knowthe later ones
15:24
وَإِنَّرَبَّكَهُوَيَحْشُرُهُمْ ۚإِنَّهُۥحَكِيمٌعَلِيمٌۭ
ʿalīmunḥakīmuninnahuyaḥshuruhumhuwarabbakawa-inna
And indeedyour LordHewill gather themIndeed, He(is) All-WiseAll-Knowing
15:25
وَلَقَدْخَلَقْنَاٱلْإِنسَـٰنَمِنصَلْصَـٰلٍۢمِّنْحَمَإٍۢمَّسْنُونٍۢ
masnūninḥama-inminṣalṣālinminl-insānakhalaqnāwalaqad
And verilyWe createdhumankind(out) ofsounding clayfromblack mudaltered
15:26
وَٱلْجَآنَّخَلَقْنَـٰهُمِنقَبْلُمِننَّارِٱلسَّمُومِ
l-samūmināriminqabluminkhalaqnāhuwal-jāna
And the jinnWe created itbeforebeforefromfirescorching
15:27
وَإِذْقَالَرَبُّكَلِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِإِنِّىخَـٰلِقٌۢبَشَرًۭامِّنصَلْصَـٰلٍۢمِّنْحَمَإٍۢمَّسْنُونٍۢ
masnūninḥama-inminṣalṣālinminbasharankhāliquninnīlil'malāikatirabbukaqālawa-idh
And whenyour Lord saidyour Lord saidto the AngelsIndeed, I(will) createa human being(out) ofclayfromblack mudaltered
15:28
فَإِذَاسَوَّيْتُهُۥوَنَفَخْتُفِيهِمِنرُّوحِىفَقَعُوا۟لَهُۥسَـٰجِدِينَ
sājidīnalahufaqaʿūrūḥīminfīhiwanafakhtusawwaytuhufa-idhā
So, whenI have fashioned himand [I] breathedinto himofMy spiritthen fall downto himprostrating
15:29
فَسَجَدَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُكُلُّهُمْأَجْمَعُونَ
ajmaʿūnakulluhuml-malāikatufasajada
So prostratedthe Angelsall of themtogether
15:30
إِلَّآإِبْلِيسَأَبَىٰٓأَنيَكُونَمَعَٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
l-sājidīnamaʿayakūnaanabāib'līsaillā
ExceptIblisHe refusedtobewiththose who prostrated
15:31
قَالَيَـٰٓإِبْلِيسُمَالَكَأَلَّاتَكُونَمَعَٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
l-sājidīnamaʿatakūnaallālakamāyāib'līsuqāla
He saidO IblisWhat(is) for youthat notyou arewiththose who prostrated
15:32
قَالَلَمْأَكُنلِّأَسْجُدَلِبَشَرٍخَلَقْتَهُۥمِنصَلْصَـٰلٍۢمِّنْحَمَإٍۢمَّسْنُونٍۢ
masnūninḥama-inminṣalṣālinminkhalaqtahulibasharinli-asjudaakunlamqāla
He saidI am notI am not(one) to prostrateto a humanwhom You created(out) ofclayfromblack mudaltered
15:33
قَالَفَٱخْرُجْمِنْهَافَإِنَّكَرَجِيمٌۭ
rajīmunfa-innakamin'hāfa-ukh'rujqāla
He saidThen get outof itfor indeed, you(are) expelled
15:34
وَإِنَّعَلَيْكَٱللَّعْنَةَإِلَىٰيَوْمِٱلدِّينِ
l-dīniyawmiilāl-laʿnataʿalaykawa-inna
And indeedupon you(will be) the cursetill(the) Day(of) [the] Judgment
15:35
قَالَرَبِّفَأَنظِرْنِىٓإِلَىٰيَوْمِيُبْعَثُونَ
yub'ʿathūnayawmiilāfa-anẓir'nīrabbiqāla
He saidO my LordThen give me respitetill(the) Daythey are raised
15:36
قَالَفَإِنَّكَمِنَٱلْمُنظَرِينَ
l-munẓarīnaminafa-innakaqāla
He saidThen indeed you(are) ofthe ones given respite
15:37
إِلَىٰيَوْمِٱلْوَقْتِٱلْمَعْلُومِ
l-maʿlūmil-waqtiyawmiilā
Tillthe Day(of) the timewell-known
15:38
قَالَرَبِّبِمَآأَغْوَيْتَنِىلَأُزَيِّنَنَّلَهُمْفِىٱلْأَرْضِوَلَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْأَجْمَعِينَ
ajmaʿīnawala-ugh'wiyannahuml-arḍifīlahumla-uzayyinannaaghwaytanībimārabbiqāla
He saidMy LordBecauseYou misled mesurely, I will make (evil) fair-seemingto theminthe earthand I will mislead themall
15:39
إِلَّاعِبَادَكَمِنْهُمُٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
l-mukh'laṣīnamin'humuʿibādakaillā
ExceptYour slavesamong themthe ones who are sincere
15:40
قَالَهَـٰذَاصِرَٰطٌعَلَىَّمُسْتَقِيمٌ
mus'taqīmunʿalayyaṣirāṭunhādhāqāla
He saidThis(is) the wayto Mestraight
15:41
إِنَّعِبَادِىلَيْسَلَكَعَلَيْهِمْسُلْطَـٰنٌإِلَّامَنِٱتَّبَعَكَمِنَٱلْغَاوِينَ
l-ghāwīnaminaittabaʿakamaniillāsul'ṭānunʿalayhimlakalaysaʿibādīinna
IndeedMy slavesnotyou haveover themany authorityexceptthose whofollow youofthe ones who go astray
15:42
وَإِنَّجَهَنَّمَلَمَوْعِدُهُمْأَجْمَعِينَ
ajmaʿīnalamawʿiduhumjahannamawa-inna
And indeedHell(is) surely the promised place for themall
15:43
لَهَاسَبْعَةُأَبْوَٰبٍۢلِّكُلِّبَابٍۢمِّنْهُمْجُزْءٌۭمَّقْسُومٌ
maqsūmunjuz'onmin'humbābinlikulliabwābinsabʿatulahā
For it(are) sevengatesfor eachgateamong them(is) a portionassigned
15:44
إِنَّٱلْمُتَّقِينَفِىجَنَّـٰتٍۢوَعُيُونٍ
waʿuyūninjannātinfīl-mutaqīnainna
Indeedthe righteous(will be) inGardensand water springs
15:45
ٱدْخُلُوهَابِسَلَـٰمٍءَامِنِينَ
āminīnabisalāminud'khulūhā
Enter itin peacesecure
15:46
وَنَزَعْنَامَافِىصُدُورِهِممِّنْغِلٍّإِخْوَٰنًاعَلَىٰسُرُرٍۢمُّتَقَـٰبِلِينَ
mutaqābilīnasururinʿalāikh'wānanghillinminṣudūrihimfīmāwanazaʿnā
And We (will) removewhat(is) intheir breastsofrancor(they will be) brothersonthronesfacing each other
15:47
لَايَمَسُّهُمْفِيهَانَصَبٌۭوَمَاهُممِّنْهَابِمُخْرَجِينَ
bimukh'rajīnamin'hāhumwamānaṣabunfīhāyamassuhumlā
Notwill touch themthereinfatigueand nottheyfrom itwill be removed
15:48
۞ نَبِّئْعِبَادِىٓأَنِّىٓأَنَاٱلْغَفُورُٱلرَّحِيمُ
l-raḥīmul-ghafūruanāannīʿibādīnabbi
InformMy slavesthat II amthe Oft-Forgivingthe Most Merciful
15:49
وَأَنَّعَذَابِىهُوَٱلْعَذَابُٱلْأَلِيمُ
l-alīmul-ʿadhābuhuwaʿadhābīwa-anna
And thatMy punishmentit(is) the punishmentthe most painful
15:50
وَنَبِّئْهُمْعَنضَيْفِإِبْرَٰهِيمَ
ib'rāhīmaḍayfiʿanwanabbi'hum
And inform themabout(the) guests(of) Ibrahim
15:51
إِذْدَخَلُوا۟عَلَيْهِفَقَالُوا۟سَلَـٰمًۭاقَالَإِنَّامِنكُمْوَجِلُونَ
wajilūnaminkuminnāqālasalāmanfaqālūʿalayhidakhalūidh
Whenthey enteredupon himand saidPeaceHe saidIndeed, we(are) of youafraid
15:52
قَالُوا۟لَاتَوْجَلْإِنَّانُبَشِّرُكَبِغُلَـٰمٍعَلِيمٍۢ
ʿalīminbighulāminnubashirukainnātawjallāqālū
They said(Do) notbe afraidindeed, we[we] bring glad tidings to youof a boylearned
15:53
قَالَأَبَشَّرْتُمُونِىعَلَىٰٓأَنمَّسَّنِىَٱلْكِبَرُفَبِمَتُبَشِّرُونَ
tubashirūnafabimal-kibarumassaniyaanʿalāabashartumūnīqāla
He saidDo you give me glad tidingsDo you give me glad tidingsalthoughhas overtaken meold ageThen about whatyou give glad tidings
15:54
قَالُوا۟بَشَّرْنَـٰكَبِٱلْحَقِّفَلَاتَكُنمِّنَٱلْقَـٰنِطِينَ
l-qāniṭīnaminatakunfalābil-ḥaqibasharnākaqālū
They saidWe give you glad tidingsin truthso (do) notbeofthe despairing
15:55
قَالَوَمَنيَقْنَطُمِنرَّحْمَةِرَبِّهِۦٓإِلَّاٱلضَّآلُّونَ
l-ḍālūnaillārabbihiraḥmatiminyaqnaṭuwamanqāla
He saidAnd whodespairsof(the) Mercy(of) his Lordexceptthose who are astray
15:56
قَالَفَمَاخَطْبُكُمْأَيُّهَاٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
l-mur'salūnaayyuhākhaṭbukumfamāqāla
He saidThen what(is) your businessO messengersO messengers
15:57
قَالُوٓا۟إِنَّآأُرْسِلْنَآإِلَىٰقَوْمٍۢمُّجْرِمِينَ
muj'rimīnaqawminilāur'sil'nāinnāqālū
They saidIndeed, we[we] have been senttoa people criminals
15:58
إِلَّآءَالَلُوطٍإِنَّالَمُنَجُّوهُمْأَجْمَعِينَ
ajmaʿīnalamunajjūhuminnālūṭinālaillā
Exceptthe familyof Lutindeed, wesurely will save themall
15:59
إِلَّاٱمْرَأَتَهُۥقَدَّرْنَآ ۙإِنَّهَالَمِنَٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ
l-ghābirīnalaminainnahāqaddarnāim'ra-atahuillā
Excepthis wifeWe have decreedthat she(is) surely ofthose who remain behind
15:60
فَلَمَّاجَآءَءَالَلُوطٍٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
l-mur'salūnalūṭinālajāafalammā
And whencame(to the) family(of) Lutthe messengers
15:61
قَالَإِنَّكُمْقَوْمٌۭمُّنكَرُونَ
munkarūnaqawmuninnakumqāla
He saidIndeed, you(are) a peopleunknown
15:62
قَالُوا۟بَلْجِئْنَـٰكَبِمَاكَانُوا۟فِيهِيَمْتَرُونَ
yamtarūnafīhikānūbimāji'nākabalqālū
They saidNaywe have come to youwith whatthey werein itdisputing
15:63
وَأَتَيْنَـٰكَبِٱلْحَقِّوَإِنَّالَصَـٰدِقُونَ
laṣādiqūnawa-innābil-ḥaqiwa-ataynāka
And we have come to youwith the truthand indeed, wesurely (are) truthful
15:64
فَأَسْرِبِأَهْلِكَبِقِطْعٍۢمِّنَٱلَّيْلِوَٱتَّبِعْأَدْبَـٰرَهُمْوَلَايَلْتَفِتْمِنكُمْأَحَدٌۭوَٱمْضُوا۟حَيْثُتُؤْمَرُونَ
tu'marūnaḥaythuwa-im'ḍūaḥadunminkumyaltafitwalāadbārahumwa-ittabiʿal-layliminabiqiṭ'ʿinbi-ahlikafa-asri
So travelwith your familyin a portionofthe nightand followtheir backsand notlet look backamong youanyoneand go onwhereyou are ordered
15:65
وَقَضَيْنَآإِلَيْهِذَٰلِكَٱلْأَمْرَأَنَّدَابِرَهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِمَقْطُوعٌۭمُّصْبِحِينَ
muṣ'biḥīnamaqṭūʿunhāulāidābiraannal-amradhālikailayhiwaqaḍaynā
And We conveyedto him[that]the matterthat(the) root(of) thesewould be cut off(by) early morning
15:66
وَجَآءَأَهْلُٱلْمَدِينَةِيَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
yastabshirūnal-madīnatiahluwajāa
And came(the) people(of) the cityrejoicing
15:67
قَالَإِنَّهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِضَيْفِىفَلَاتَفْضَحُونِ
tafḍaḥūnifalāḍayfīhāulāiinnaqāla
He saidIndeedthese(are) my guestsso (do) notshame me
15:68
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَلَاتُخْزُونِ
tukh'zūniwalāl-lahawa-ittaqū
And fearAllahand (do) notdisgrace me
15:69
قَالُوٓا۟أَوَلَمْنَنْهَكَعَنِٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnaʿaninanhakaawalamqālū
They saidDid notwe forbid youfromthe world
15:70
قَالَهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِبَنَاتِىٓإِنكُنتُمْفَـٰعِلِينَ
fāʿilīnakuntuminbanātīhāulāiqāla
He saidThese(are) my daughtersifyou would bedoers
15:71
لَعَمْرُكَإِنَّهُمْلَفِىسَكْرَتِهِمْيَعْمَهُونَ
yaʿmahūnasakratihimlafīinnahumlaʿamruka
By your lifeindeed, theywere intheir intoxicationwandering blindly
15:72
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُٱلصَّيْحَةُمُشْرِقِينَ
mush'riqīnal-ṣayḥatufa-akhadhathumu
So, seized themthe awful cryat sunrise
15:73
فَجَعَلْنَاعَـٰلِيَهَاسَافِلَهَاوَأَمْطَرْنَاعَلَيْهِمْحِجَارَةًۭمِّنسِجِّيلٍ
sijjīlinminḥijāratanʿalayhimwa-amṭarnāsāfilahāʿāliyahāfajaʿalnā
And We madeits highest (part)its lowestand We rainedupon themstonesofbaked clay
15:74
إِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢلِّلْمُتَوَسِّمِينَ
lil'mutawassimīnalaāyātindhālikafīinna
Indeedinthat(are) the Signsfor those who discern
15:75
وَإِنَّهَالَبِسَبِيلٍۢمُّقِيمٍ
muqīminlabisabīlinwa-innahā
And indeed, it(is) on a roadestablished
15:76
إِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭلِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
lil'mu'minīnalaāyatandhālikafīinna
Indeedinthatsurely (is) a Signfor the believers
15:77
وَإِنكَانَأَصْحَـٰبُٱلْأَيْكَةِلَظَـٰلِمِينَ
laẓālimīnal-aykatiaṣḥābukānawa-in
And wereAnd were(the) companions(of) the woodsurely wrongdoers
15:78
فَٱنتَقَمْنَامِنْهُمْوَإِنَّهُمَالَبِإِمَامٍۢمُّبِينٍۢ
mubīninlabi-imāminwa-innahumāmin'humfa-intaqamnā
So We took retributionfrom themand indeed, they both(were) on a highwayclear
15:79
وَلَقَدْكَذَّبَأَصْحَـٰبُٱلْحِجْرِٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
l-mur'salīnal-ḥij'riaṣḥābukadhabawalaqad
And certainlydenied(the) companions(of) the Rocky Tractthe Messengers
15:80
وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْءَايَـٰتِنَافَكَانُوا۟عَنْهَامُعْرِضِينَ
muʿ'riḍīnaʿanhāfakānūāyātināwaātaynāhum
And We gave themOur Signsbut they werefrom themturning away
15:81
وَكَانُوا۟يَنْحِتُونَمِنَٱلْجِبَالِبُيُوتًاءَامِنِينَ
āminīnabuyūtanl-jibāliminayanḥitūnawakānū
And they used (to)carvefromthe mountainshousessecure
15:82
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُٱلصَّيْحَةُمُصْبِحِينَ
muṣ'biḥīnal-ṣayḥatufa-akhadhathumu
But seized themthe awful cry(at) early morning
15:83
فَمَآأَغْنَىٰعَنْهُممَّاكَانُوا۟يَكْسِبُونَ
yaksibūnakānūmāʿanhumaghnāfamā
And notavailedthemwhatthey used (to)earn
15:84
وَمَاخَلَقْنَاٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضَوَمَابَيْنَهُمَآإِلَّابِٱلْحَقِّ ۗوَإِنَّٱلسَّاعَةَلَـَٔاتِيَةٌۭ ۖفَٱصْفَحِٱلصَّفْحَٱلْجَمِيلَ
l-jamīlal-ṣafḥafa-iṣ'faḥilaātiyatunl-sāʿatawa-innabil-ḥaqiillābaynahumāwamāwal-arḍal-samāwātikhalaqnāwamā
And notWe createdthe heavensand the earthand whatever(is) between themexceptin truthAnd indeedthe Hour(is) surely comingSo overlook(with) forgivenessgracious
15:85
إِنَّرَبَّكَهُوَٱلْخَلَّـٰقُٱلْعَلِيمُ
l-ʿalīmul-khalāquhuwarabbakainna
Indeedyour LordHe(is) the Creatorthe All-Knower
15:86
وَلَقَدْءَاتَيْنَـٰكَسَبْعًۭامِّنَٱلْمَثَانِىوَٱلْقُرْءَانَٱلْعَظِيمَ
l-ʿaẓīmawal-qur'ānal-mathānīminasabʿanātaynākawalaqad
And certainlyWe have given yousevenofthe oft-repeatedand the QuranGreat
15:87
لَاتَمُدَّنَّعَيْنَيْكَإِلَىٰمَامَتَّعْنَابِهِۦٓأَزْوَٰجًۭامِّنْهُمْوَلَاتَحْزَنْعَلَيْهِمْوَٱخْفِضْجَنَاحَكَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
lil'mu'minīnajanāḥakawa-ikh'fiḍʿalayhimtaḥzanwalāmin'humazwājanbihimattaʿnāmāilāʿaynaykatamuddannalā
(Do) notextendyour eyestowardswhatWe have bestowedwith it(to) categoriesof themand (do) notgrieveover themAnd loweryour wingto the believers
15:88
وَقُلْإِنِّىٓأَنَاٱلنَّذِيرُٱلْمُبِينُ
l-mubīnul-nadhīruanāinnīwaqul
And sayIndeed, I[I] ama warnerclear
15:89
كَمَآأَنزَلْنَاعَلَىٱلْمُقْتَسِمِينَ
l-muq'tasimīnaʿalāanzalnākamā
AsWe sent downonthose who divided
15:90
ٱلَّذِينَجَعَلُوا۟ٱلْقُرْءَانَعِضِينَ
ʿiḍīnal-qur'ānajaʿalūalladhīna
Those whohave madethe Quran(in) parts
15:91
فَوَرَبِّكَلَنَسْـَٔلَنَّهُمْأَجْمَعِينَ
ajmaʿīnalanasalannahumfawarabbika
So by your Lordsurely We will question themall
15:92
عَمَّاكَانُوا۟يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnakānūʿammā
About whatthey used (to)do
15:93
فَٱصْدَعْبِمَاتُؤْمَرُوَأَعْرِضْعَنِٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
l-mush'rikīnaʿaniwa-aʿriḍtu'marubimāfa-iṣ'daʿ
So proclaimof whatyou are orderedand turn awayfromthe polytheists
15:94
إِنَّاكَفَيْنَـٰكَٱلْمُسْتَهْزِءِينَ
l-mus'tahziīnakafaynākainnā
Indeed, We[We] are sufficient for you(against) the mockers
15:95
ٱلَّذِينَيَجْعَلُونَمَعَٱللَّهِإِلَـٰهًاءَاخَرَ ۚفَسَوْفَيَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnafasawfaākharailāhanl-lahimaʿayajʿalūnaalladhīna
Those whoset upwithAllahgodanotherBut soonthey will come to know
15:96
وَلَقَدْنَعْلَمُأَنَّكَيَضِيقُصَدْرُكَبِمَايَقُولُونَ
yaqūlūnabimāṣadrukayaḍīquannakanaʿlamuwalaqad
And verilyWe knowthat [you](is) straitenedyour breastby whatthey say
15:97
فَسَبِّحْبِحَمْدِرَبِّكَوَكُنمِّنَٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
l-sājidīnaminawakunrabbikabiḥamdifasabbiḥ
So glorifywith the praise(of) your Lordand beofthose who prostrate
15:98
وَٱعْبُدْرَبَّكَحَتَّىٰيَأْتِيَكَٱلْيَقِينُ
l-yaqīnuyatiyakaḥattārabbakawa-uʿ'bud
And worshipyour Lorduntilcomes to youthe certainty
15:99
Basmala
أَتَىٰٓأَمْرُٱللَّهِفَلَاتَسْتَعْجِلُوهُ ۚسُبْحَـٰنَهُۥوَتَعَـٰلَىٰعَمَّايُشْرِكُونَ
yush'rikūnaʿammāwataʿālāsub'ḥānahutastaʿjilūhufalāl-lahiamruatā
Will come(the) command of Allah(the) command of Allahso (do) not(be) impatient for itGlorified is Heand Exalted (is) Heabove whatthey associate
16:1
يُنَزِّلُٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَبِٱلرُّوحِمِنْأَمْرِهِۦعَلَىٰمَنيَشَآءُمِنْعِبَادِهِۦٓأَنْأَنذِرُوٓا۟أَنَّهُۥلَآإِلَـٰهَإِلَّآأَنَا۠فَٱتَّقُونِ
fa-ittaqūnianāillāilāhalāannahuandhirūanʿibādihiminyashāumanʿalāamrihiminbil-rūḥil-malāikatayunazzilu
He sends downthe Angelswith the inspirationofHis CommanduponwhomHe willsofHis slavesthatWarnthat [He](there is) nogodexceptMeso fear Me
16:2
خَلَقَٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضَبِٱلْحَقِّ ۚتَعَـٰلَىٰعَمَّايُشْرِكُونَ
yush'rikūnaʿammātaʿālābil-ḥaqiwal-arḍal-samāwātikhalaqa
He createdthe heavensand the earthin truthExalted is Heabove whatthey associate
16:3
خَلَقَٱلْإِنسَـٰنَمِننُّطْفَةٍۢفَإِذَاهُوَخَصِيمٌۭمُّبِينٌۭ
mubīnunkhaṣīmunhuwafa-idhānuṭ'fatinminl-insānakhalaqa
He createdthe human kindfroma minute quantity of sementhen beholdhe(is) an opponentclear
16:4
وَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمَخَلَقَهَا ۗلَكُمْفِيهَادِفْءٌۭوَمَنَـٰفِعُوَمِنْهَاتَأْكُلُونَ
takulūnawamin'hāwamanāfiʿudif'onfīhālakumkhalaqahāwal-anʿāma
And the cattleHe created themfor youin them(is) warmthand benefitsand from themyou eat
16:5
وَلَكُمْفِيهَاجَمَالٌحِينَتُرِيحُونَوَحِينَتَسْرَحُونَ
tasraḥūnawaḥīnaturīḥūnaḥīnajamālunfīhāwalakum
And for youin them(is) beautywhenyou bring them inand whenyou take them out
16:6
وَتَحْمِلُأَثْقَالَكُمْإِلَىٰبَلَدٍۢلَّمْتَكُونُوا۟بَـٰلِغِيهِإِلَّابِشِقِّٱلْأَنفُسِ ۚإِنَّرَبَّكُمْلَرَءُوفٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunlaraūfunrabbakuminnal-anfusibishiqqiillābālighīhitakūnūlambaladinilāathqālakumwataḥmilu
And they carryyour loadstoa landnotyou couldreach itexceptwith great trouble(to) yourselvesIndeedyour Lordsurely is Most KindMost Merciful
16:7
وَٱلْخَيْلَوَٱلْبِغَالَوَٱلْحَمِيرَلِتَرْكَبُوهَاوَزِينَةًۭ ۚوَيَخْلُقُمَالَاتَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūnalāmāwayakhluquwazīnatanlitarkabūhāwal-ḥamīrawal-bighālawal-khayla
And horsesand mulesand donkeysfor you to ride themand (as) adornmentAnd He createswhatnotyou know
16:8
وَعَلَىٱللَّهِقَصْدُٱلسَّبِيلِوَمِنْهَاجَآئِرٌۭ ۚوَلَوْشَآءَلَهَدَىٰكُمْأَجْمَعِينَ
ajmaʿīnalahadākumshāawalawjāirunwamin'hāl-sabīliqaṣdul-lahiwaʿalā
And uponAllah(is) the direction(of) the wayand among them(are) crookedAnd ifHe willedsurely He would have guided youall
16:9
هُوَٱلَّذِىٓأَنزَلَمِنَٱلسَّمَآءِمَآءًۭ ۖلَّكُممِّنْهُشَرَابٌۭوَمِنْهُشَجَرٌۭفِيهِتُسِيمُونَ
tusīmūnafīhishajarunwamin'husharābunmin'hulakummāanl-samāiminaanzalaalladhīhuwa
He(is) the One Whosends downfromthe skywaterfor youof it(is) drinkand from it(grows) vegetationin whichyou pasture your cattle
16:10
يُنۢبِتُلَكُمبِهِٱلزَّرْعَوَٱلزَّيْتُونَوَٱلنَّخِيلَوَٱلْأَعْنَـٰبَوَمِنكُلِّٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ ۗإِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭلِّقَوْمٍۢيَتَفَكَّرُونَ
yatafakkarūnaliqawminlaāyatandhālikafīinnal-thamarātikulliwaminwal-aʿnābawal-nakhīlawal-zaytūnal-zarʿabihilakumyunbitu
He causes to growfor youwith itthe cropsand the olivesand the date-palmsand the grapesand ofevery kind(of) fruitsIndeedinthatsurely (is) a signfor a peoplewho reflect
16:11
وَسَخَّرَلَكُمُٱلَّيْلَوَٱلنَّهَارَوَٱلشَّمْسَوَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖوَٱلنُّجُومُمُسَخَّرَٰتٌۢبِأَمْرِهِۦٓ ۗإِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢلِّقَوْمٍۢيَعْقِلُونَ
yaʿqilūnaliqawminlaāyātindhālikafīinnabi-amrihimusakharātunwal-nujūmuwal-qamarawal-shamsawal-nahāraal-laylalakumuwasakhara
And He has subjectedfor youthe nightand the dayand the sunand the moonand the stars(are) subjectedby His commandIndeedinthatsurely (are) signsfor a peoplewho use reason
16:12
وَمَاذَرَأَلَكُمْفِىٱلْأَرْضِمُخْتَلِفًاأَلْوَٰنُهُۥٓ ۗإِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭلِّقَوْمٍۢيَذَّكَّرُونَ
yadhakkarūnaliqawminlaāyatandhālikafīinnaalwānuhumukh'talifanl-arḍifīlakumdhara-awamā
And whateverHe multipliedfor youinthe earth(of) varyingcolorsIndeedinthatsurely (is) a signfor a peoplewho remember
16:13
وَهُوَٱلَّذِىسَخَّرَٱلْبَحْرَلِتَأْكُلُوا۟مِنْهُلَحْمًۭاطَرِيًّۭاوَتَسْتَخْرِجُوا۟مِنْهُحِلْيَةًۭتَلْبَسُونَهَاوَتَرَىٱلْفُلْكَمَوَاخِرَفِيهِوَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟مِنفَضْلِهِۦوَلَعَلَّكُمْتَشْكُرُونَ
tashkurūnawalaʿallakumfaḍlihiminwalitabtaghūfīhimawākhiral-ful'kawatarātalbasūnahāḥil'yatanmin'huwatastakhrijūṭariyyanlaḥmanmin'hulitakulūl-baḥrasakharaalladhīwahuwa
And He(is) the One Whosubjectedthe seafor you to eatfrom itmeatfreshand that you bring forthfrom itornaments(that) you wear themAnd you seethe shipsploughingthrough itand that you may seekofHis Bountyand that you may(be) grateful
16:14
وَأَلْقَىٰفِىٱلْأَرْضِرَوَٰسِىَأَنتَمِيدَبِكُمْوَأَنْهَـٰرًۭاوَسُبُلًۭالَّعَلَّكُمْتَهْتَدُونَ
tahtadūnalaʿallakumwasubulanwa-anhāranbikumtamīdaanrawāsiyal-arḍifīwa-alqā
And He has castinthe earthfirm mountainslestit should shakewith youand riversand roadsso that you maybe guided
16:15
وَعَلَـٰمَـٰتٍۢ ۚوَبِٱلنَّجْمِهُمْيَهْتَدُونَ
yahtadūnahumwabil-najmiwaʿalāmātin
And landmarksAnd by the starstheyguide themselves
16:16
أَفَمَنيَخْلُقُكَمَنلَّايَخْلُقُ ۗأَفَلَاتَذَكَّرُونَ
tadhakkarūnaafalāyakhluqulākamanyakhluquafaman
Then is He Whocreateslike one who(does) notcreateThen will you notremember
16:17
وَإِنتَعُدُّوا۟نِعْمَةَٱللَّهِلَاتُحْصُوهَآ ۗإِنَّٱللَّهَلَغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunlaghafūrunl-lahainnatuḥ'ṣūhālāl-lahiniʿ'matataʿuddūwa-in
And ifyou should countthe Favors of Allahthe Favors of Allahnotyou could enumerate themIndeedAllah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
16:18
وَٱللَّهُيَعْلَمُمَاتُسِرُّونَوَمَاتُعْلِنُونَ
tuʿ'linūnawamātusirrūnamāyaʿlamuwal-lahu
And Allahknowswhatyou concealand whatyou reveal
16:19
وَٱلَّذِينَيَدْعُونَمِندُونِٱللَّهِلَايَخْلُقُونَشَيْـًۭٔاوَهُمْيُخْلَقُونَ
yukh'laqūnawahumshayanyakhluqūnalāl-lahidūniminyadʿūnawa-alladhīna
And those whomthey invokebesidesbesidesAllahnotthey createanythingbut (are) themselvescreated
16:20
أَمْوَٰتٌغَيْرُأَحْيَآءٍۢ ۖوَمَايَشْعُرُونَأَيَّانَيُبْعَثُونَ
yub'ʿathūnaayyānayashʿurūnawamāaḥyāinghayruamwātun
(They are) deadnot alivenot aliveAnd notthey perceivewhenthey will be resurrected
16:21
إِلَـٰهُكُمْإِلَـٰهٌۭوَٰحِدٌۭ ۚفَٱلَّذِينَلَايُؤْمِنُونَبِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِقُلُوبُهُممُّنكِرَةٌۭوَهُممُّسْتَكْبِرُونَ
mus'takbirūnawahummunkiratunqulūbuhumbil-ākhiratiyu'minūnalāfa-alladhīnawāḥidunilāhunilāhukum
Your god(is) GodOneBut those who(do) notbelievein the Hereaftertheir heartsrefuseand they(are) arrogant
16:22
لَاجَرَمَأَنَّٱللَّهَيَعْلَمُمَايُسِرُّونَوَمَايُعْلِنُونَ ۚإِنَّهُۥلَايُحِبُّٱلْمُسْتَكْبِرِينَ
l-mus'takbirīnayuḥibbulāinnahuyuʿ'linūnawamāyusirrūnamāyaʿlamul-lahaannajaramalā
No doubtNo doubtthatAllahknowswhatthey concealand whatthey revealIndeed, He(does) notlovethe arrogant ones
16:23
وَإِذَاقِيلَلَهُممَّاذَآأَنزَلَرَبُّكُمْ ۙقَالُوٓا۟أَسَـٰطِيرُٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnaasāṭīruqālūrabbukumanzalamādhālahumqīlawa-idhā
And whenit is saidto themWhathas your Lord sent downhas your Lord sent downThey sayTales(of) the ancient
16:24
لِيَحْمِلُوٓا۟أَوْزَارَهُمْكَامِلَةًۭيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۙوَمِنْأَوْزَارِٱلَّذِينَيُضِلُّونَهُمبِغَيْرِعِلْمٍ ۗأَلَاسَآءَمَايَزِرُونَ
yazirūnamāsāaalāʿil'minbighayriyuḍillūnahumalladhīnaawzāriwaminl-qiyāmatiyawmakāmilatanawzārahumliyaḥmilū
That they may beartheir own burdens(in) fullon (the) Day(of) the Resurrectionand ofthe burdens(of) those whomthey misled [them]withoutknowledgeUnquestionablyevil(is) whatthey will bear
16:25
قَدْمَكَرَٱلَّذِينَمِنقَبْلِهِمْفَأَتَىٱللَّهُبُنْيَـٰنَهُممِّنَٱلْقَوَاعِدِفَخَرَّعَلَيْهِمُٱلسَّقْفُمِنفَوْقِهِمْوَأَتَىٰهُمُٱلْعَذَابُمِنْحَيْثُلَايَشْعُرُونَ
yashʿurūnalāḥaythuminl-ʿadhābuwa-atāhumufawqihimminl-saqfuʿalayhimufakharral-qawāʿidiminabun'yānahuml-lahufa-atāqablihimminalladhīnamakaraqad
Verilyplottedthose who(were) before them(were) before thembut Allah camebut Allah came(at) their buildingfromthe foundationsso fellupon themthe rooffromabove themand came to themthe punishmentfromwherethey (did) not perceivethey (did) not perceive
16:26
ثُمَّيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِيُخْزِيهِمْوَيَقُولُأَيْنَشُرَكَآءِىَٱلَّذِينَكُنتُمْتُشَـٰٓقُّونَفِيهِمْ ۚقَالَٱلَّذِينَأُوتُوا۟ٱلْعِلْمَإِنَّٱلْخِزْىَٱلْيَوْمَوَٱلسُّوٓءَعَلَىٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīnaʿalāwal-sūal-yawmal-khiz'yainnal-ʿil'maūtūalladhīnaqālafīhimtushāqqūnakuntumalladhīnashurakāiyaaynawayaqūluyukh'zīhiml-qiyāmatiyawmathumma
Then(on) the Day(of) the ResurrectionHe will disgrace themand sayWhere(are) My partnersthose (for) whomyou used (to)oppose[in them]Will saythose whowere giventhe knowledgeIndeedthe disgracethis Dayand evil(are) uponthe disbelievers
16:27
ٱلَّذِينَتَتَوَفَّىٰهُمُٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُظَالِمِىٓأَنفُسِهِمْ ۖفَأَلْقَوُا۟ٱلسَّلَمَمَاكُنَّانَعْمَلُمِنسُوٓءٍۭ ۚبَلَىٰٓإِنَّٱللَّهَعَلِيمٌۢبِمَاكُنتُمْتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnakuntumbimāʿalīmunl-lahainnabalāsūinminnaʿmalukunnāmāl-salamafa-alqawūanfusihimẓālimīl-malāikatutatawaffāhumualladhīna
Those whom take them in deaththe Angels(while) wrongingthemselvesthen they would offerthe submissionNotwe weredoinganyevilNayindeedAllah(is) All-Knowerof whatyou used (to)do
16:28
فَٱدْخُلُوٓا۟أَبْوَٰبَجَهَنَّمَخَـٰلِدِينَفِيهَا ۖفَلَبِئْسَمَثْوَىٱلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ
l-mutakabirīnamathwāfalabi'safīhākhālidīnajahannamaabwābafa-ud'khulū
So enter(the) gates(of) Hell(to) abide foreverin itSurely, wretched(is the) abode(of) the arrogant
16:29
۞ وَقِيلَلِلَّذِينَٱتَّقَوْا۟مَاذَآأَنزَلَرَبُّكُمْ ۚقَالُوا۟خَيْرًۭا ۗلِّلَّذِينَأَحْسَنُوا۟فِىهَـٰذِهِٱلدُّنْيَاحَسَنَةٌۭ ۚوَلَدَارُٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِخَيْرٌۭ ۚوَلَنِعْمَدَارُٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
l-mutaqīnadāruwalaniʿ'makhayrunl-ākhiratiwaladāruḥasanatunl-dun'yāhādhihifīaḥsanūlilladhīnakhayranqālūrabbukumanzalamādhāittaqawlilladhīnawaqīla
And it will be saidto those whofear AllahWhathas your Lord sent downhas your Lord sent downThey will sayGoodFor those whodo goodinthisworld(is) a goodand the homeof the Hereafter(is) betterAnd surely excellent(is) the home(of) the righteous
16:30
جَنَّـٰتُعَدْنٍۢيَدْخُلُونَهَاتَجْرِىمِنتَحْتِهَاٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ۖلَهُمْفِيهَامَايَشَآءُونَ ۚكَذَٰلِكَيَجْزِىٱللَّهُٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
l-mutaqīnal-lahuyajzīkadhālikayashāūnamāfīhālahuml-anhārutaḥtihāmintajrīyadkhulūnahāʿadninjannātu
Gardens(of) Eden which they will enterflowsfromunderneath themthe riversFor themtherein(will be) whateverthey wishThusAllah rewardsAllah rewardsthe righteous
16:31
ٱلَّذِينَتَتَوَفَّىٰهُمُٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُطَيِّبِينَ ۙيَقُولُونَسَلَـٰمٌعَلَيْكُمُٱدْخُلُوا۟ٱلْجَنَّةَبِمَاكُنتُمْتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnakuntumbimāl-janataud'khulūʿalaykumusalāmunyaqūlūnaṭayyibīnal-malāikatutatawaffāhumualladhīna
Those whomtake them in deaththe Angels(when they are) puresayingPeace(be) upon youEnterParadisefor whatyou used (to)do
16:32
هَلْيَنظُرُونَإِلَّآأَنتَأْتِيَهُمُٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُأَوْيَأْتِىَأَمْرُرَبِّكَ ۚكَذَٰلِكَفَعَلَٱلَّذِينَمِنقَبْلِهِمْ ۚوَمَاظَلَمَهُمُٱللَّهُوَلَـٰكِنكَانُوٓا۟أَنفُسَهُمْيَظْلِمُونَ
yaẓlimūnaanfusahumkānūwalākinl-lahuẓalamahumuwamāqablihimminalladhīnafaʿalakadhālikarabbikaamruyatiyaawl-malāikatutatiyahumuanillāyanẓurūnahal
Dothey waitexceptthat(should) come to themthe Angelsor(should) come(the) Command(of) your LordThusdidthose who(were) before them(were) before themAnd notwronged themAllahbutthey werethemselveswronging
16:33
فَأَصَابَهُمْسَيِّـَٔاتُمَاعَمِلُوا۟وَحَاقَبِهِممَّاكَانُوا۟بِهِۦيَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
yastahziūnabihikānūmābihimwaḥāqaʿamilūmāsayyiātufa-aṣābahum
Then struck them(the) evil (results)(of) whatthey didand surroundedthemwhatthey used (to)[of it]mock
16:34
وَقَالَٱلَّذِينَأَشْرَكُوا۟لَوْشَآءَٱللَّهُمَاعَبَدْنَامِندُونِهِۦمِنشَىْءٍۢنَّحْنُوَلَآءَابَآؤُنَاوَلَاحَرَّمْنَامِندُونِهِۦمِنشَىْءٍۢ ۚكَذَٰلِكَفَعَلَٱلَّذِينَمِنقَبْلِهِمْ ۚفَهَلْعَلَىٱلرُّسُلِإِلَّاٱلْبَلَـٰغُٱلْمُبِينُ
l-mubīnul-balāghuillāl-rusuliʿalāfahalqablihimminalladhīnafaʿalakadhālikashayinmindūnihiminḥarramnāwalāābāunāwalānaḥnushayinmindūnihiminʿabadnāmāl-lahushāalawashrakūalladhīnawaqāla
And saidthose whoassociate partners (with Allah)IfAllah (had) willedAllah (had) willednotwe (would) have worshippedother than Himother than Himanythingweand notour forefathersand notwe (would) have forbiddenother than Himother than HimanythinganythingThusdidthose who(were) before them(were) before themThen is (there)onthe messengersexceptthe conveyanceclear
16:35
وَلَقَدْبَعَثْنَافِىكُلِّأُمَّةٍۢرَّسُولًاأَنِٱعْبُدُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟ٱلطَّـٰغُوتَ ۖفَمِنْهُممَّنْهَدَىٱللَّهُوَمِنْهُممَّنْحَقَّتْعَلَيْهِٱلضَّلَـٰلَةُ ۚفَسِيرُوا۟فِىٱلْأَرْضِفَٱنظُرُوا۟كَيْفَكَانَعَـٰقِبَةُٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
l-mukadhibīnaʿāqibatukānakayfafa-unẓurūl-arḍifīfasīrūl-ḍalālatuʿalayhiḥaqqatmanwamin'huml-lahuhadāmanfamin'huml-ṭāghūtawa-ij'tanibūl-lahauʿ'budūanirasūlanummatinkullifībaʿathnāwalaqad
And certainlyWe sentintoeverynationa MessengerthatWorshipAllahand avoidthe false deitiesThen among them(were some) whomAllah guidedAllah guidedand among them(were) somewas justifiedon themthe strayingSo travelinthe earthand seehowwasthe end(of) the deniers
16:36
إِنتَحْرِصْعَلَىٰهُدَىٰهُمْفَإِنَّٱللَّهَلَايَهْدِىمَنيُضِلُّ ۖوَمَالَهُممِّننَّـٰصِرِينَ
nāṣirīnaminlahumwamāyuḍillumanyahdīlāl-lahafa-innahudāhumʿalātaḥriṣin
Ifyou desire[for]their guidancethen indeedAllah(will) notguidewhomHe lets go astrayand not (are)for themanyhelpers
16:37
وَأَقْسَمُوا۟بِٱللَّهِجَهْدَأَيْمَـٰنِهِمْ ۙلَايَبْعَثُٱللَّهُمَنيَمُوتُ ۚبَلَىٰوَعْدًاعَلَيْهِحَقًّۭاوَلَـٰكِنَّأَكْثَرَٱلنَّاسِلَايَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnalāl-nāsiaktharawalākinnaḥaqqanʿalayhiwaʿdanbalāyamūtumanl-lahuyabʿathulāaymānihimjahdabil-lahiwa-aqsamū
And they swearby Allahstrongest(of) their oathsAllah will not resurrectAllah will not resurrectAllah will not resurrect(one) whodiesNay(it is) a promiseupon Him(in) truthbutmost(of) the mankind(do) notknow
16:38
لِيُبَيِّنَلَهُمُٱلَّذِىيَخْتَلِفُونَفِيهِوَلِيَعْلَمَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوٓا۟أَنَّهُمْكَانُوا۟كَـٰذِبِينَ
kādhibīnakānūannahumkafarūalladhīnawaliyaʿlamafīhiyakhtalifūnaalladhīlahumuliyubayyina
That He will make clearto themthatthey differwhereinand that may knowthose whodisbelievedthat theywereliars
16:39
إِنَّمَاقَوْلُنَالِشَىْءٍإِذَآأَرَدْنَـٰهُأَننَّقُولَلَهُۥكُنفَيَكُونُ
fayakūnukunlahunaqūlaanaradnāhuidhālishayinqawlunāinnamā
OnlyOur Wordto a thingwhenWe intend it(is) thatWe sayto itBeand it is
16:40
وَٱلَّذِينَهَاجَرُوا۟فِىٱللَّهِمِنۢبَعْدِمَاظُلِمُوا۟لَنُبَوِّئَنَّهُمْفِىٱلدُّنْيَاحَسَنَةًۭ ۖوَلَأَجْرُٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِأَكْبَرُ ۚلَوْكَانُوا۟يَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnakānūlawakbarul-ākhiratiwala-ajruḥasanatanl-dun'yāfīlanubawwi-annahumẓulimūmābaʿdiminl-lahifīhājarūwa-alladhīna
And those whoemigratedin (the way)(of) Allahafterafter[what]they were wrongedsurely We will give them positioninthe worldgoodbut surely the reward(of) the Hereafter(is) greateriftheyknow
16:41
ٱلَّذِينَصَبَرُوا۟وَعَلَىٰرَبِّهِمْيَتَوَكَّلُونَ
yatawakkalūnarabbihimwaʿalāṣabarūalladhīna
Those who(are) patientand ontheir Lordthey put their trust
16:42
وَمَآأَرْسَلْنَامِنقَبْلِكَإِلَّارِجَالًۭانُّوحِىٓإِلَيْهِمْ ۚفَسْـَٔلُوٓا۟أَهْلَٱلذِّكْرِإِنكُنتُمْلَاتَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūnalākuntuminl-dhik'riahlafasalūilayhimnūḥīrijālanillāqablikaminarsalnāwamā
And notWe sentbefore youbefore youexceptmenWe revealedto themso ask(the) people(of) the Reminderifyou(do) notknow
16:43
بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِوَٱلزُّبُرِ ۗوَأَنزَلْنَآإِلَيْكَٱلذِّكْرَلِتُبَيِّنَلِلنَّاسِمَانُزِّلَإِلَيْهِمْوَلَعَلَّهُمْيَتَفَكَّرُونَ
yatafakkarūnawalaʿallahumilayhimnuzzilamālilnnāsilitubayyinal-dhik'railaykawa-anzalnāwal-zuburibil-bayināti
With the clear proofsand the BooksAnd We sent downto youthe Remembrancethat you may make clearto the mankindwhathas been sent downto themand that they mayreflect
16:44
أَفَأَمِنَٱلَّذِينَمَكَرُوا۟ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِأَنيَخْسِفَٱللَّهُبِهِمُٱلْأَرْضَأَوْيَأْتِيَهُمُٱلْعَذَابُمِنْحَيْثُلَايَشْعُرُونَ
yashʿurūnalāḥaythuminl-ʿadhābuyatiyahumuawl-arḍabihimul-lahuyakhsifaanl-sayiātimakarūalladhīnaafa-amina
Do then feel securethose whoplottedthe evil deedsthatAllah will caveAllah will cavewith themthe earthorwill come to themthe punishmentfromwherenotthey perceive
16:45
أَوْيَأْخُذَهُمْفِىتَقَلُّبِهِمْفَمَاهُمبِمُعْجِزِينَ
bimuʿ'jizīnahumfamātaqallubihimfīyakhudhahumaw
Orthat He may seize themintheir going to and frothen nottheywill be able to escape
16:46
أَوْيَأْخُذَهُمْعَلَىٰتَخَوُّفٍۢفَإِنَّرَبَّكُمْلَرَءُوفٌۭرَّحِيمٌ
raḥīmunlaraūfunrabbakumfa-innatakhawwufinʿalāyakhudhahumaw
Orthat He may seize themwitha gradual wastingBut indeedyour Lord(is) surely Full of KindnessMost Merciful
16:47
أَوَلَمْيَرَوْا۟إِلَىٰمَاخَلَقَٱللَّهُمِنشَىْءٍۢيَتَفَيَّؤُا۟ظِلَـٰلُهُۥعَنِٱلْيَمِينِوَٱلشَّمَآئِلِسُجَّدًۭالِّلَّهِوَهُمْدَٰخِرُونَ
dākhirūnawahumlillahisujjadanwal-shamāilil-yamīniʿaniẓilāluhuyatafayya-ushayinminl-lahukhalaqamāilāyarawawalam
Have notthey seen[towards]whatAllah has createdAllah has createdfroma thingInclinetheir shadowstothe rightand to the leftprostratingto Allahwhile they(are) humble
16:48
وَلِلَّهِيَسْجُدُمَافِىٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَمَافِىٱلْأَرْضِمِندَآبَّةٍۢوَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُوَهُمْلَايَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
yastakbirūnalāwahumwal-malāikatudābbatinminl-arḍifīwamāl-samāwātifīmāyasjuduwalillahi
And to Allahprostratewhatever(is) inthe heavensand whatever(is) inthe earthofmoving creaturesand the Angelsand they(are) notarrogant
16:49
يَخَافُونَرَبَّهُممِّنفَوْقِهِمْوَيَفْعَلُونَمَايُؤْمَرُونَ ۩
yu'marūnamāwayafʿalūnafawqihimminrabbahumyakhāfūna
They feartheir Lordabove themabove themand they dowhatthey are commanded
16:50
۞ وَقَالَٱللَّهُلَاتَتَّخِذُوٓا۟إِلَـٰهَيْنِٱثْنَيْنِ ۖإِنَّمَاهُوَإِلَـٰهٌۭوَٰحِدٌۭ ۖفَإِيَّـٰىَفَٱرْهَبُونِ
fa-ir'habūnifa-iyyāyawāḥidunilāhunhuwainnamāith'nayniilāhaynitattakhidhūlāl-lahuwaqāla
And Allah has saidAnd Allah has said(Do) nottake[two] godstwoonlyHe(is) GodOneso Me Aloneyou fear [Me]
16:51
وَلَهُۥمَافِىٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِوَلَهُٱلدِّينُوَاصِبًا ۚأَفَغَيْرَٱللَّهِتَتَّقُونَ
tattaqūnal-lahiafaghayrawāṣibanl-dīnuwalahuwal-arḍil-samāwātifīmāwalahu
And to Him (belongs)whatever(is) inthe heavensand the earthand to Him(is due) the worshipconstantlyThen is it other (than)Allahyou fear
16:52
وَمَابِكُممِّننِّعْمَةٍۢفَمِنَٱللَّهِ ۖثُمَّإِذَامَسَّكُمُٱلضُّرُّفَإِلَيْهِتَجْـَٔرُونَ
tajarūnafa-ilayhil-ḍurumassakumuidhāthummal-lahifaminaniʿ'matinminbikumwamā
And whateveryou haveoffavor(is) fromAllahThenwhentouches youthe adversitythen to Himyou cry for help
16:53
ثُمَّإِذَاكَشَفَٱلضُّرَّعَنكُمْإِذَافَرِيقٌۭمِّنكُمبِرَبِّهِمْيُشْرِكُونَ
yush'rikūnabirabbihimminkumfarīqunidhāʿankuml-ḍurakashafaidhāthumma
ThenwhenHe removesthe adversityfrom youbeholdA groupof youwith their Lordassociate others
16:54
لِيَكْفُرُوا۟بِمَآءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْ ۚفَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ ۖفَسَوْفَتَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūnafasawfafatamattaʿūātaynāhumbimāliyakfurū
So as to denythat whichWe have given themThen enjoy yourselvessoonyou will know
16:55
وَيَجْعَلُونَلِمَالَايَعْلَمُونَنَصِيبًۭامِّمَّارَزَقْنَـٰهُمْ ۗتَٱللَّهِلَتُسْـَٔلُنَّعَمَّاكُنتُمْتَفْتَرُونَ
taftarūnakuntumʿammālatus'alunnatal-lahirazaqnāhummimmānaṣībanyaʿlamūnalālimāwayajʿalūna
And they assignto whatnotthey know a portionof whatWe have provided themBy Allahsurely you will be askedabout whatyou used (to)invent
16:56
وَيَجْعَلُونَلِلَّهِٱلْبَنَـٰتِسُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ ۙوَلَهُممَّايَشْتَهُونَ
yashtahūnamāwalahumsub'ḥānahul-banātilillahiwayajʿalūna
And they assignto AllahdaughtersGlory be to HimAnd for them(is) whatthey desire
16:57
وَإِذَابُشِّرَأَحَدُهُمبِٱلْأُنثَىٰظَلَّوَجْهُهُۥمُسْوَدًّۭاوَهُوَكَظِيمٌۭ
kaẓīmunwahuwamus'waddanwajhuhuẓallabil-unthāaḥaduhumbushirawa-idhā
And whenis given good news(to) one of themof a femaleturnshis facedarkand hesuppresses grief
16:58
يَتَوَٰرَىٰمِنَٱلْقَوْمِمِنسُوٓءِمَابُشِّرَبِهِۦٓ ۚأَيُمْسِكُهُۥعَلَىٰهُونٍأَمْيَدُسُّهُۥفِىٱلتُّرَابِ ۗأَلَاسَآءَمَايَحْكُمُونَ
yaḥkumūnamāsāaalāl-turābifīyadussuhuamhūninʿalāayum'sikuhubihibushiramāsūiminl-qawmiminayatawārā
He hides himselffromthe people(because) ofthe evilof whathe has been given good newsaboutShould he keep itinhumiliationorbury itinthe dustUnquestionablyevil(is) whatthey decide
16:59
لِلَّذِينَلَايُؤْمِنُونَبِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِمَثَلُٱلسَّوْءِ ۖوَلِلَّهِٱلْمَثَلُٱلْأَعْلَىٰ ۚوَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلْحَكِيمُ
l-ḥakīmul-ʿazīzuwahuwal-aʿlāl-mathaluwalillahil-sawimathalubil-ākhiratiyu'minūnalālilladhīna
For those who(do) notbelievein the Hereafter(is) a similitude(of) the eviland for Allah(is) the similitudethe HighestAnd He(is) the All-MightyAll-Wise
16:60
وَلَوْيُؤَاخِذُٱللَّهُٱلنَّاسَبِظُلْمِهِممَّاتَرَكَعَلَيْهَامِندَآبَّةٍۢوَلَـٰكِنيُؤَخِّرُهُمْإِلَىٰٓأَجَلٍۢمُّسَمًّۭى ۖفَإِذَاجَآءَأَجَلُهُمْلَايَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَسَاعَةًۭ ۖوَلَايَسْتَقْدِمُونَ
yastaqdimūnawalāsāʿatanyastakhirūnalāajaluhumjāafa-idhāmusammanajalinilāyu-akhiruhumwalākindābbatinminʿalayhātarakamābiẓul'mihiml-nāsal-lahuyuākhidhuwalaw
And ifAllah were to seizeAllah were to seizethe mankindfor their wrongdoingnotHe (would) have leftupon itanymoving creaturebutHe defers themfora termappointedThen whencomestheir termsnotthey (will) remain behindan hourand notthey can advance (it)
16:61
وَيَجْعَلُونَلِلَّهِمَايَكْرَهُونَوَتَصِفُأَلْسِنَتُهُمُٱلْكَذِبَأَنَّلَهُمُٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ۖلَاجَرَمَأَنَّلَهُمُٱلنَّارَوَأَنَّهُممُّفْرَطُونَ
muf'raṭūnawa-annahuml-nāralahumuannajaramalāl-ḥus'nālahumuannal-kadhibaalsinatuhumuwataṣifuyakrahūnamālillahiwayajʿalūna
And they assignto Allahwhatthey dislikeand asserttheir tonguesthe liethatfor them(is) the bestNodoubtthatfor them(is) the Fireand that they(will) be abandoned
16:62
تَٱللَّهِلَقَدْأَرْسَلْنَآإِلَىٰٓأُمَمٍۢمِّنقَبْلِكَفَزَيَّنَلَهُمُٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُأَعْمَـٰلَهُمْفَهُوَوَلِيُّهُمُٱلْيَوْمَوَلَهُمْعَذَابٌأَلِيمٌۭ
alīmunʿadhābunwalahuml-yawmawaliyyuhumufahuwaaʿmālahuml-shayṭānulahumufazayyanaqablikaminumaminilāarsalnālaqadtal-lahi
By AllahcertainlyWe have senttonationsbefore youbefore youbut made fair-seemingto themthe Shaitaantheir deedsSo he(is) their allytodayand for them(is) a punishmentpainful
16:63
وَمَآأَنزَلْنَاعَلَيْكَٱلْكِتَـٰبَإِلَّالِتُبَيِّنَلَهُمُٱلَّذِىٱخْتَلَفُوا۟فِيهِ ۙوَهُدًۭىوَرَحْمَةًۭلِّقَوْمٍۢيُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūnaliqawminwaraḥmatanwahudanfīhiikh'talafūalladhīlahumulitubayyinaillāl-kitābaʿalaykaanzalnāwamā
And notWe revealedto youthe Bookexceptthat you make clearto themthat whichthey differedin itand (as) a guidanceand mercyfor a peoplewho believe
16:64
وَٱللَّهُأَنزَلَمِنَٱلسَّمَآءِمَآءًۭفَأَحْيَابِهِٱلْأَرْضَبَعْدَمَوْتِهَآ ۚإِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭلِّقَوْمٍۢيَسْمَعُونَ
yasmaʿūnaliqawminlaāyatandhālikafīinnamawtihābaʿdal-arḍabihifa-aḥyāmāanl-samāiminaanzalawal-lahu
And Allahhas sent downfromthe skywaterthen gives lifeby it(to) the earthafterits deathIndeedinthat(is) surely a Signfor a peoplewho listen
16:65
وَإِنَّلَكُمْفِىٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِلَعِبْرَةًۭ ۖنُّسْقِيكُممِّمَّافِىبُطُونِهِۦمِنۢبَيْنِفَرْثٍۢوَدَمٍۢلَّبَنًاخَالِصًۭاسَآئِغًۭالِّلشَّـٰرِبِينَ
lilshāribīnasāighankhāliṣanlabananwadaminfarthinbayniminbuṭūnihifīmimmānus'qīkumlaʿib'ratanl-anʿāmifīlakumwa-inna
And indeedfor youinthe cattle(is) a lessonWe give you to drinkfrom what(is) intheir belliesfrombetweenbowelsand bloodmilkpurepalatableto the drinkers
16:66
وَمِنثَمَرَٰتِٱلنَّخِيلِوَٱلْأَعْنَـٰبِتَتَّخِذُونَمِنْهُسَكَرًۭاوَرِزْقًاحَسَنًا ۗإِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭلِّقَوْمٍۢيَعْقِلُونَ
yaʿqilūnaliqawminlaāyatandhālikafīinnaḥasananwariz'qansakaranmin'hutattakhidhūnawal-aʿnābil-nakhīlithamarātiwamin
And fromfruitsthe date-palmand the grapesyou takefrom itintoxicantand a provisiongoodIndeedinthat(is) surely a Signfor a peoplewho use reason
16:67
وَأَوْحَىٰرَبُّكَإِلَىٱلنَّحْلِأَنِٱتَّخِذِىمِنَٱلْجِبَالِبُيُوتًۭاوَمِنَٱلشَّجَرِوَمِمَّايَعْرِشُونَ
yaʿrishūnawamimmāl-shajariwaminabuyūtanl-jibāliminaittakhidhīanil-naḥliilārabbukawa-awḥā
And inspiredyour Lordtothe bee[that]Takeamongthe mountainshousesand amongthe treesand in whatthey construct
16:68
ثُمَّكُلِىمِنكُلِّٱلثَّمَرَٰتِفَٱسْلُكِىسُبُلَرَبِّكِذُلُلًۭا ۚيَخْرُجُمِنۢبُطُونِهَاشَرَابٌۭمُّخْتَلِفٌأَلْوَٰنُهُۥفِيهِشِفَآءٌۭلِّلنَّاسِ ۗإِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭلِّقَوْمٍۢيَتَفَكَّرُونَ
yatafakkarūnaliqawminlaāyatandhālikafīinnalilnnāsishifāonfīhialwānuhumukh'talifunsharābunbuṭūnihāminyakhrujudhululanrabbikisubulafa-us'lukīl-thamarātikulliminkulīthumma
Theneatfromallthe fruitsand follow(the) ways(of) your Lordmade smoothComes forthfromtheir belliesa drink(of) varyingcolorsin it(is) a healingfor the mankindIndeedinthat(is) surely a Signfor a peoplewho reflect
16:69
وَٱللَّهُخَلَقَكُمْثُمَّيَتَوَفَّىٰكُمْ ۚوَمِنكُممَّنيُرَدُّإِلَىٰٓأَرْذَلِٱلْعُمُرِلِكَىْلَايَعْلَمَبَعْدَعِلْمٍۢشَيْـًٔا ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَعَلِيمٌۭقَدِيرٌۭ
qadīrunʿalīmunl-lahainnashayanʿil'minbaʿdayaʿlamalālikayl-ʿumuriardhaliilāyuraddumanwaminkumyatawaffākumthummakhalaqakumwal-lahu
And Allahcreated youthenwill cause you to dieAnd among you(is one) whois sent backtothe worst(of) the ageso thatnothe will knowafterknowledgea thingIndeedAllah(is) All-KnowingAll-Powerful
16:70
وَٱللَّهُفَضَّلَبَعْضَكُمْعَلَىٰبَعْضٍۢفِىٱلرِّزْقِ ۚفَمَاٱلَّذِينَفُضِّلُوا۟بِرَآدِّىرِزْقِهِمْعَلَىٰمَامَلَكَتْأَيْمَـٰنُهُمْفَهُمْفِيهِسَوَآءٌ ۚأَفَبِنِعْمَةِٱللَّهِيَجْحَدُونَ
yajḥadūnal-lahiafabiniʿ'matisawāonfīhifahumaymānuhummalakatmāʿalāriz'qihimbirāddīfuḍḍilūalladhīnafamāl-riz'qifībaʿḍinʿalābaʿḍakumfaḍḍalawal-lahu
And Allahhas favoredsome of youoverothersin[the] provisionBut notthose whowere favoredwould hand overtheir provisiontowhompossesstheir right handsso (that) they(are) in itequalThen is it the Favorof Allahthey reject
16:71
وَٱللَّهُجَعَلَلَكُممِّنْأَنفُسِكُمْأَزْوَٰجًۭاوَجَعَلَلَكُممِّنْأَزْوَٰجِكُمبَنِينَوَحَفَدَةًۭوَرَزَقَكُممِّنَٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ ۚأَفَبِٱلْبَـٰطِلِيُؤْمِنُونَوَبِنِعْمَتِٱللَّهِهُمْيَكْفُرُونَ
yakfurūnahuml-lahiwabiniʿ'matiyu'minūnaafabil-bāṭilil-ṭayibātiminawarazaqakumwaḥafadatanbanīnaazwājikumminlakumwajaʿalaazwājananfusikumminlakumjaʿalawal-lahu
And Allah(has) madefor youfromyourselvesspousesand has madefor youfromyour spousessonsand grandsonsand has provided for youfromthe good thingsThen in falsehood dothey believeand the Favorof Allahtheydisbelieve
16:72
وَيَعْبُدُونَمِندُونِٱللَّهِمَالَايَمْلِكُلَهُمْرِزْقًۭامِّنَٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِشَيْـًۭٔاوَلَايَسْتَطِيعُونَ
yastaṭīʿūnawalāshayanwal-arḍil-samāwātiminariz'qanlahumyamlikulāmāl-lahidūniminwayaʿbudūna
And they worshipother thanother thanAllahwhichnotpossessesfor themany provisionfromthe heavensand the earth[anything]and notthey are able
16:73
فَلَاتَضْرِبُوا۟لِلَّهِٱلْأَمْثَالَ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَيَعْلَمُوَأَنتُمْلَاتَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūnalāwa-antumyaʿlamul-lahainnal-amthālalillahitaḍribūfalā
So (do) notput forthfor Allahthe similitudeIndeedAllahknowsand you(do) notknow
16:74
۞ ضَرَبَٱللَّهُمَثَلًاعَبْدًۭامَّمْلُوكًۭالَّايَقْدِرُعَلَىٰشَىْءٍۢوَمَنرَّزَقْنَـٰهُمِنَّارِزْقًاحَسَنًۭافَهُوَيُنفِقُمِنْهُسِرًّۭاوَجَهْرًا ۖهَلْيَسْتَوُۥنَ ۚٱلْحَمْدُلِلَّهِ ۚبَلْأَكْثَرُهُمْلَايَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnalāaktharuhumballillahil-ḥamduyastawūnahalwajahransirranmin'huyunfiqufahuwaḥasananriz'qanminnārazaqnāhuwamanshayinʿalāyaqdirulāmamlūkanʿabdanmathalanl-lahuḍaraba
Allah sets forthAllah sets forththe example(of) a slave(who is) ownednothe has poweronanythingand (one) whomWe provided himfrom Usa provisiongoodso hespendsfrom itsecretlyand publiclyCanthey be equalAll praise(is) for AllahNaybut most of them(do) notknow
16:75
وَضَرَبَٱللَّهُمَثَلًۭارَّجُلَيْنِأَحَدُهُمَآأَبْكَمُلَايَقْدِرُعَلَىٰشَىْءٍۢوَهُوَكَلٌّعَلَىٰمَوْلَىٰهُأَيْنَمَايُوَجِّههُّلَايَأْتِبِخَيْرٍ ۖهَلْيَسْتَوِىهُوَوَمَنيَأْمُرُبِٱلْعَدْلِ ۙوَهُوَعَلَىٰصِرَٰطٍۢمُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
mus'taqīminṣirāṭinʿalāwahuwabil-ʿadliyamuruwamanhuwayastawīhalbikhayrinyatilāyuwajjihhuaynamāmawlāhuʿalākallunwahuwashayinʿalāyaqdirulāabkamuaḥaduhumārajulaynimathalanl-lahuwaḍaraba
And Allah sets forthAnd Allah sets forthan example(of) two menone of them(is) dumbnothe has poweronanythingwhile he(is) a burdenonhis masterWhereverhe directs himnothe comeswith any goodIsequalheand (the one) whocommands[of] justiceand he(is) ona pathstraight
16:76
وَلِلَّهِغَيْبُٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚوَمَآأَمْرُٱلسَّاعَةِإِلَّاكَلَمْحِٱلْبَصَرِأَوْهُوَأَقْرَبُ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَعَلَىٰكُلِّشَىْءٍۢقَدِيرٌۭ
qadīrunshayinkulliʿalāl-lahainnaaqrabuhuwaawl-baṣarikalamḥiillāl-sāʿatiamruwamāwal-arḍil-samāwātighaybuwalillahi
And to Allah (belongs)(the) unseen(of) the heavensand the earthAnd not(is the) matter(of) the Hourbutas a twinkling(of) the eyeorit(is) nearerIndeedAllahoneverything(is) All-Powerful
16:77
وَٱللَّهُأَخْرَجَكُممِّنۢبُطُونِأُمَّهَـٰتِكُمْلَاتَعْلَمُونَشَيْـًۭٔاوَجَعَلَلَكُمُٱلسَّمْعَوَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرَوَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَ ۙلَعَلَّكُمْتَشْكُرُونَ
tashkurūnalaʿallakumwal-afidatawal-abṣāral-samʿalakumuwajaʿalashayantaʿlamūnalāummahātikumbuṭūniminakhrajakumwal-lahu
And Allahbrought you forthfromthe wombs(of) your mothersnotknowinganythingand madefor youthe hearingand the sightand the heartsso that you maygive thanks
16:78
أَلَمْيَرَوْا۟إِلَىٱلطَّيْرِمُسَخَّرَٰتٍۢفِىجَوِّٱلسَّمَآءِمَايُمْسِكُهُنَّإِلَّاٱللَّهُ ۗإِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢلِّقَوْمٍۢيُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūnaliqawminlaāyātindhālikafīinnal-lahuillāyum'sikuhunnamāl-samāijawwifīmusakharātinl-ṭayriilāyarawalam
Do notthey seetowardsthe birdscontrolledinthe midst(of) the skyNoneholds them upexceptAllahIndeedinthat(are) Signsfor a peoplewho believe
16:79
وَٱللَّهُجَعَلَلَكُممِّنۢبُيُوتِكُمْسَكَنًۭاوَجَعَلَلَكُممِّنجُلُودِٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِبُيُوتًۭاتَسْتَخِفُّونَهَايَوْمَظَعْنِكُمْوَيَوْمَإِقَامَتِكُمْ ۙوَمِنْأَصْوَافِهَاوَأَوْبَارِهَاوَأَشْعَارِهَآأَثَـٰثًۭاوَمَتَـٰعًاإِلَىٰحِينٍۢ
ḥīninilāwamatāʿanathāthanwa-ashʿārihāwa-awbārihāaṣwāfihāwaminiqāmatikumwayawmaẓaʿnikumyawmatastakhiffūnahābuyūtanl-anʿāmijulūdiminlakumwajaʿalasakananbuyūtikumminlakumjaʿalawal-lahu
And Allah(has) madefor you[from]your homesa resting placeand madefor youfromthe hides(of) the cattletentswhich you find light(on) the day(of) your traveland the day(of) your encampmentand fromtheir wooland their furand their hair(is) furnishingand a provisionfora time
16:80
وَٱللَّهُجَعَلَلَكُممِّمَّاخَلَقَظِلَـٰلًۭاوَجَعَلَلَكُممِّنَٱلْجِبَالِأَكْنَـٰنًۭاوَجَعَلَلَكُمْسَرَٰبِيلَتَقِيكُمُٱلْحَرَّوَسَرَٰبِيلَتَقِيكُمبَأْسَكُمْ ۚكَذَٰلِكَيُتِمُّنِعْمَتَهُۥعَلَيْكُمْلَعَلَّكُمْتُسْلِمُونَ
tus'limūnalaʿallakumʿalaykumniʿ'matahuyutimmukadhālikabasakumtaqīkumwasarābīlal-ḥarataqīkumusarābīlalakumwajaʿalaaknānanl-jibāliminalakumwajaʿalaẓilālankhalaqamimmālakumjaʿalawal-lahu
And Allah(has) madefor youfrom whatHe createdshadesand (has) madefor youfromthe mountainssheltersand (has) madefor yougarmentsto protect you(from) the heatand garmentsto protect youfrom your (mutual) violenceThusHe completesHis Favorupon youso that you maysubmit
16:81
فَإِنتَوَلَّوْا۟فَإِنَّمَاعَلَيْكَٱلْبَلَـٰغُٱلْمُبِينُ
l-mubīnul-balāghuʿalaykafa-innamātawallawfa-in
Then, ifthey turn awaythen onlyupon you(is) the conveyancethe clear
16:82
يَعْرِفُونَنِعْمَتَٱللَّهِثُمَّيُنكِرُونَهَاوَأَكْثَرُهُمُٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ
l-kāfirūnawa-aktharuhumuyunkirūnahāthummal-lahiniʿ'matayaʿrifūna
They recognize(the) Favor(of) Allahthenthey deny itAnd most of them(are) the disbelievers
16:83
وَيَوْمَنَبْعَثُمِنكُلِّأُمَّةٍۢشَهِيدًۭاثُمَّلَايُؤْذَنُلِلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟وَلَاهُمْيُسْتَعْتَبُونَ
yus'taʿtabūnahumwalākafarūlilladhīnayu'dhanulāthummashahīdanummatinkulliminnabʿathuwayawma
And the DayWe will resurrectfromeverynationa witnessthennotwill be permittedto those whodisbelievedand nottheywill be asked to make amends
16:84
وَإِذَارَءَاٱلَّذِينَظَلَمُوا۟ٱلْعَذَابَفَلَايُخَفَّفُعَنْهُمْوَلَاهُمْيُنظَرُونَ
yunẓarūnahumwalāʿanhumyukhaffafufalāl-ʿadhābaẓalamūalladhīnaraāwa-idhā
And when(will) seethose whowrongedthe punishmentthen notit will be lightenedfor themand nottheywill be given respite
16:85
وَإِذَارَءَاٱلَّذِينَأَشْرَكُوا۟شُرَكَآءَهُمْقَالُوا۟رَبَّنَاهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِشُرَكَآؤُنَاٱلَّذِينَكُنَّانَدْعُوا۟مِندُونِكَ ۖفَأَلْقَوْا۟إِلَيْهِمُٱلْقَوْلَإِنَّكُمْلَكَـٰذِبُونَ
lakādhibūnainnakuml-qawlailayhimufa-alqawdūnikaminnadʿūkunnāalladhīnashurakāunāhāulāirabbanāqālūshurakāahumashrakūalladhīnaraāwa-idhā
And when(will) seethose whoassociated partners with Allahtheir partnersThey will sayOur Lordthese(are) our partnersthose whomwe used toinvokebesides Youbesides YouBut they (will) throw backat them(their) wordIndeed, you(are) surely liars
16:86
وَأَلْقَوْا۟إِلَىٱللَّهِيَوْمَئِذٍٱلسَّلَمَ ۖوَضَلَّعَنْهُممَّاكَانُوا۟يَفْتَرُونَ
yaftarūnakānūmāʿanhumwaḍallal-salamayawma-idhinl-lahiilāwa-alqaw
And they (will) offertoAllah(on) that Daythe submissionand (is) lostfrom themwhatthey used (to)invent
16:87
ٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟وَصَدُّوا۟عَنسَبِيلِٱللَّهِزِدْنَـٰهُمْعَذَابًۭافَوْقَٱلْعَذَابِبِمَاكَانُوا۟يُفْسِدُونَ
yuf'sidūnakānūbimāl-ʿadhābifawqaʿadhābanzid'nāhuml-lahisabīliʿanwaṣaddūkafarūalladhīna
And those whodisbelievedand hinderedfrom(the) way(of) AllahWe will increase them(in) punishmentoverpunishmentbecausethey used (to)spread corruption
16:88
وَيَوْمَنَبْعَثُفِىكُلِّأُمَّةٍۢشَهِيدًاعَلَيْهِممِّنْأَنفُسِهِمْ ۖوَجِئْنَابِكَشَهِيدًاعَلَىٰهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ ۚوَنَزَّلْنَاعَلَيْكَٱلْكِتَـٰبَتِبْيَـٰنًۭالِّكُلِّشَىْءٍۢوَهُدًۭىوَرَحْمَةًۭوَبُشْرَىٰلِلْمُسْلِمِينَ
lil'mus'limīnawabush'rāwaraḥmatanwahudanshayinlikullitib'yānanl-kitābaʿalaykawanazzalnāhāulāiʿalāshahīdanbikawaji'nāanfusihimminʿalayhimshahīdanummatinkullifīnabʿathuwayawma
And the DayWe will resurrectamongeverynationa witnessover themfromthemselvesAnd We (will) bringyou(as) a witnessovertheseAnd We sent downto youthe Book(as) a clarificationof everythingand a guidanceand mercyand glad tidingsfor the Muslims
16:89
۞ إِنَّٱللَّهَيَأْمُرُبِٱلْعَدْلِوَٱلْإِحْسَـٰنِوَإِيتَآئِذِىٱلْقُرْبَىٰوَيَنْهَىٰعَنِٱلْفَحْشَآءِوَٱلْمُنكَرِوَٱلْبَغْىِ ۚيَعِظُكُمْلَعَلَّكُمْتَذَكَّرُونَ
tadhakkarūnalaʿallakumyaʿiẓukumwal-baghyiwal-munkaril-faḥshāiʿaniwayanhāl-qur'bādhīwaītāiwal-iḥ'sānibil-ʿadliyamurul-lahainna
IndeedAllahcommandsjusticeand the goodand giving(to) relatives(to) relativesand forbids[from]the immoralityand the badand the oppressionHe admonishes youso that you maytake heed
16:90
وَأَوْفُوا۟بِعَهْدِٱللَّهِإِذَاعَـٰهَدتُّمْوَلَاتَنقُضُوا۟ٱلْأَيْمَـٰنَبَعْدَتَوْكِيدِهَاوَقَدْجَعَلْتُمُٱللَّهَعَلَيْكُمْكَفِيلًا ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَيَعْلَمُمَاتَفْعَلُونَ
tafʿalūnamāyaʿlamul-lahainnakafīlanʿalaykuml-lahajaʿaltumuwaqadtawkīdihābaʿdal-aymānatanquḍūwalāʿāhadttumidhāl-lahibiʿahdiwa-awfū
And fulfilthe covenant(of) Allahwhenyou have taken a covenantand (do) notbreakoathsaftertheir confirmationwhile verilyyou have madeAllahover youa suretyIndeedAllahknowswhatyou do
16:91
وَلَاتَكُونُوا۟كَٱلَّتِىنَقَضَتْغَزْلَهَامِنۢبَعْدِقُوَّةٍأَنكَـٰثًۭاتَتَّخِذُونَأَيْمَـٰنَكُمْدَخَلًۢابَيْنَكُمْأَنتَكُونَأُمَّةٌهِىَأَرْبَىٰمِنْأُمَّةٍ ۚإِنَّمَايَبْلُوكُمُٱللَّهُبِهِۦ ۚوَلَيُبَيِّنَنَّلَكُمْيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِمَاكُنتُمْفِيهِتَخْتَلِفُونَ
takhtalifūnafīhikuntummāl-qiyāmatiyawmalakumwalayubayyinannabihil-lahuyablūkumuinnamāummatinminarbāhiyaummatuntakūnaanbaynakumdakhalanaymānakumtattakhidhūnaankāthanquwwatinbaʿdiminghazlahānaqaḍatka-allatītakūnūwalā
And (do) notbelike her whountwistsher spun yarnafterafterstrength(into) untwisted strandsyou takeyour oaths(as) a deceptionbetween youbecauseisa community[it]more numerousthan(another) communityOnlyAllah tests youAllah tests youby itAnd He will make clearto you(on) the Day(of) the Resurrectionwhatyou used (to)in itdiffer
16:92
وَلَوْشَآءَٱللَّهُلَجَعَلَكُمْأُمَّةًۭوَٰحِدَةًۭوَلَـٰكِنيُضِلُّمَنيَشَآءُوَيَهْدِىمَنيَشَآءُ ۚوَلَتُسْـَٔلُنَّعَمَّاكُنتُمْتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnakuntumʿammāwalatus'alunnayashāumanwayahdīyashāumanyuḍilluwalākinwāḥidatanummatanlajaʿalakuml-lahushāawalaw
And ifAllah (had) willedAllah (had) willedsurely He (could) have made youa nationonebutHe lets go astraywhomHe willsand guideswhomHe willsAnd surely you will be questionedabout whatyou used (to)do
16:93
وَلَاتَتَّخِذُوٓا۟أَيْمَـٰنَكُمْدَخَلًۢابَيْنَكُمْفَتَزِلَّقَدَمٌۢبَعْدَثُبُوتِهَاوَتَذُوقُوا۟ٱلسُّوٓءَبِمَاصَدَدتُّمْعَنسَبِيلِٱللَّهِ ۖوَلَكُمْعَذَابٌعَظِيمٌۭ
ʿaẓīmunʿadhābunwalakuml-lahisabīliʿanṣadadttumbimāl-sūawatadhūqūthubūtihābaʿdaqadamunfatazillabaynakumdakhalanaymānakumtattakhidhūwalā
And (do) nottakeyour oaths(as) a deceptionbetween youlest, should slipa footafterit is firmly plantedand you would tastethe evilfor whatyou hinderedfrom(the) way(of) Allahand for you(is) a punishmentgreat
16:94
وَلَاتَشْتَرُوا۟بِعَهْدِٱللَّهِثَمَنًۭاقَلِيلًا ۚإِنَّمَاعِندَٱللَّهِهُوَخَيْرٌۭلَّكُمْإِنكُنتُمْتَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūnakuntuminlakumkhayrunhuwal-lahiʿindainnamāqalīlanthamananl-lahibiʿahditashtarūwalā
And (do) notexchangethe covenant(of) Allah(for) a pricelittleIndeed, what(is) withAllahit(is) betterfor youifyou were (to)know
16:95
مَاعِندَكُمْيَنفَدُ ۖوَمَاعِندَٱللَّهِبَاقٍۢ ۗوَلَنَجْزِيَنَّٱلَّذِينَصَبَرُوٓا۟أَجْرَهُمبِأَحْسَنِمَاكَانُوا۟يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnakānūmābi-aḥsaniajrahumṣabarūalladhīnawalanajziyannabāqinl-lahiʿindawamāyanfaduʿindakummā
Whatever(is) with youwill be exhaustedand whatever(is) withAllah(will) be remainingAnd surely We will paythose who(are) patienttheir rewardto (the) best(of) whatthey used (to)do
16:96
مَنْعَمِلَصَـٰلِحًۭامِّنذَكَرٍأَوْأُنثَىٰوَهُوَمُؤْمِنٌۭفَلَنُحْيِيَنَّهُۥحَيَوٰةًۭطَيِّبَةًۭ ۖوَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْأَجْرَهُمبِأَحْسَنِمَاكَانُوا۟يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnakānūmābi-aḥsaniajrahumwalanajziyannahumṭayyibatanḥayatanfalanuḥ'yiyannahumu'minunwahuwaunthāawdhakarinminṣāliḥanʿamilaman
Whoeverdoesrighteous deedswhethermaleorfemalewhile he(is) a believerthen surely We will give him lifea lifegoodand We will pay themtheir rewardto (the) bestof whatthey used (to)do
16:97
فَإِذَاقَرَأْتَٱلْقُرْءَانَفَٱسْتَعِذْبِٱللَّهِمِنَٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِٱلرَّجِيمِ
l-rajīmil-shayṭāniminabil-lahifa-is'taʿidhl-qur'ānaqaratafa-idhā
So whenyou recitethe Quranseek refugein Allahfromthe Shaitaanthe accursed
16:98
إِنَّهُۥلَيْسَلَهُۥسُلْطَـٰنٌعَلَىٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَعَلَىٰرَبِّهِمْيَتَوَكَّلُونَ
yatawakkalūnarabbihimwaʿalāāmanūalladhīnaʿalāsul'ṭānunlahulaysainnahu
Indeed henotfor him(is) any authorityonthose whobelieveand upontheir Lordthey put their trust
16:99
إِنَّمَاسُلْطَـٰنُهُۥعَلَىٱلَّذِينَيَتَوَلَّوْنَهُۥوَٱلَّذِينَهُمبِهِۦمُشْرِكُونَ
mush'rikūnabihihumwa-alladhīnayatawallawnahualladhīnaʿalāsul'ṭānuhuinnamā
Onlyhis authority(is) overthose whotake him as an allyand those who[they]with Himassociate partners
16:100
وَإِذَابَدَّلْنَآءَايَةًۭمَّكَانَءَايَةٍۢ ۙوَٱللَّهُأَعْلَمُبِمَايُنَزِّلُقَالُوٓا۟إِنَّمَآأَنتَمُفْتَرٍۭ ۚبَلْأَكْثَرُهُمْلَايَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnalāaktharuhumbalmuf'tarinantainnamāqālūyunazzilubimāaʿlamuwal-lahuāyatinmakānaāyatanbaddalnāwa-idhā
And whenWe substitutea Verse(in) place(of) a Verseand Allah (is) most knowingof whatHe sends downthey sayOnlyyou(are) an inventorNaymost of them(do) notknow
16:101
قُلْنَزَّلَهُۥرُوحُٱلْقُدُسِمِنرَّبِّكَبِٱلْحَقِّلِيُثَبِّتَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَهُدًۭىوَبُشْرَىٰلِلْمُسْلِمِينَ
lil'mus'limīnawabush'rāwahudanāmanūalladhīnaliyuthabbitabil-ḥaqirabbikaminl-qudusirūḥunazzalahuqul
SayHas brought it downthe Holy Spiritthe Holy Spiritfromyour Lordin truthto make firmthose whobelieveand (as) a guidanceand glad tidingsto the Muslims
16:102
وَلَقَدْنَعْلَمُأَنَّهُمْيَقُولُونَإِنَّمَايُعَلِّمُهُۥبَشَرٌۭ ۗلِّسَانُٱلَّذِىيُلْحِدُونَإِلَيْهِأَعْجَمِىٌّۭوَهَـٰذَالِسَانٌعَرَبِىٌّۭمُّبِينٌ
mubīnunʿarabiyyunlisānunwahādhāaʿjamiyyunilayhiyul'ḥidūnaalladhīlisānubasharunyuʿallimuhuinnamāyaqūlūnaannahumnaʿlamuwalaqad
And certainlyWe knowthat theysayOnlyteaches hima human being(The) tongue(of) the onethey referto him(is) foreignwhile this(is) a languageArabicclear
16:103
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَلَايُؤْمِنُونَبِـَٔايَـٰتِٱللَّهِلَايَهْدِيهِمُٱللَّهُوَلَهُمْعَذَابٌأَلِيمٌ
alīmunʿadhābunwalahuml-lahuyahdīhimulāl-lahibiāyātiyu'minūnalāalladhīnainna
Indeedthose who(do) notbelievein the Verses(of) AllahnotAllah will guide themAllah will guide themand for them(is) a punishmentpainful
16:104
إِنَّمَايَفْتَرِىٱلْكَذِبَٱلَّذِينَلَايُؤْمِنُونَبِـَٔايَـٰتِٱللَّهِ ۖوَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْكَـٰذِبُونَ
l-kādhibūnahumuwa-ulāikal-lahibiāyātiyu'minūnalāalladhīnal-kadhibayaftarīinnamā
Onlythey inventthe falsehoodthose who(do) notbelievein the Verses(of) Allahand those they(are) the liars
16:105
مَنكَفَرَبِٱللَّهِمِنۢبَعْدِإِيمَـٰنِهِۦٓإِلَّامَنْأُكْرِهَوَقَلْبُهُۥمُطْمَئِنٌّۢبِٱلْإِيمَـٰنِوَلَـٰكِنمَّنشَرَحَبِٱلْكُفْرِصَدْرًۭافَعَلَيْهِمْغَضَبٌۭمِّنَٱللَّهِوَلَهُمْعَذَابٌعَظِيمٌۭ
ʿaẓīmunʿadhābunwalahuml-lahiminaghaḍabunfaʿalayhimṣadranbil-kuf'risharaḥamanwalākinbil-īmānimuṭ'ma-innunwaqalbuhuuk'rihamanillāīmānihibaʿdiminbil-lahikafaraman
Whoeverdisbelievesin Allahafterafterhis beliefexcept(one) whois forcedwhile his heart(is) contentwith the faithBut(one) whoopensto disbelief(his) breastthen upon them(is) a wrathofAllahand for them(is) a punishmentgreat
16:106
ذَٰلِكَبِأَنَّهُمُٱسْتَحَبُّوا۟ٱلْحَيَوٰةَٱلدُّنْيَاعَلَىٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِوَأَنَّٱللَّهَلَايَهْدِىٱلْقَوْمَٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīnal-qawmayahdīlāl-lahawa-annal-ākhiratiʿalāl-dun'yāl-ḥayatais'taḥabbūbi-annahumudhālika
That (is)becausethey preferredthe life(of) the worldoverthe Hereafterand thatAllah(does) notguidethe peoplethe disbelievers
16:107
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَٱلَّذِينَطَبَعَٱللَّهُعَلَىٰقُلُوبِهِمْوَسَمْعِهِمْوَأَبْصَـٰرِهِمْ ۖوَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْغَـٰفِلُونَ
l-ghāfilūnahumuwa-ulāikawa-abṣārihimwasamʿihimqulūbihimʿalāl-lahuṭabaʿaalladhīnaulāika
Those(are) the ones Allah has set a sealAllah has set a sealovertheir heartsand their hearingand their sightAnd those they arethe heedless
16:108
لَاجَرَمَأَنَّهُمْفِىٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِهُمُٱلْخَـٰسِرُونَ
l-khāsirūnahumul-ākhiratifīannahumjaramalā
Nodoubtthat theyinthe Hereafter[they](are) the losers
16:109
ثُمَّإِنَّرَبَّكَلِلَّذِينَهَاجَرُوا۟مِنۢبَعْدِمَافُتِنُوا۟ثُمَّجَـٰهَدُوا۟وَصَبَرُوٓا۟إِنَّرَبَّكَمِنۢبَعْدِهَالَغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunlaghafūrunbaʿdihāminrabbakainnawaṣabarūjāhadūthummafutinūmābaʿdiminhājarūlilladhīnarabbakainnathumma
Thenindeedyour Lordto those whoemigratedafterafterwhatthey had been put to trialsthenstrove hardand were patientIndeedyour Lordafter itafter itsurely is Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
16:110
۞ يَوْمَتَأْتِىكُلُّنَفْسٍۢتُجَـٰدِلُعَننَّفْسِهَاوَتُوَفَّىٰكُلُّنَفْسٍۢمَّاعَمِلَتْوَهُمْلَايُظْلَمُونَ
yuẓ'lamūnalāwahumʿamilatmānafsinkulluwatuwaffānafsihāʿantujādilunafsinkullutatīyawma
(On) the Day(when) will comeeverysoulpleadingforitselfand will be paid in fulleverysoulwhatit didand they(will) notbe wronged
16:111
وَضَرَبَٱللَّهُمَثَلًۭاقَرْيَةًۭكَانَتْءَامِنَةًۭمُّطْمَئِنَّةًۭيَأْتِيهَارِزْقُهَارَغَدًۭامِّنكُلِّمَكَانٍۢفَكَفَرَتْبِأَنْعُمِٱللَّهِفَأَذَٰقَهَاٱللَّهُلِبَاسَٱلْجُوعِوَٱلْخَوْفِبِمَاكَانُوا۟يَصْنَعُونَ
yaṣnaʿūnakānūbimāwal-khawfil-jūʿilibāsal-lahufa-adhāqahāl-lahibi-anʿumifakafaratmakāninkulliminraghadanriz'quhāyatīhāmuṭ'ma-innatanāminatankānatqaryatanmathalanl-lahuwaḍaraba
And Allah sets forthAnd Allah sets fortha similitude(of) a town(that) wassecureand contentcoming to itits provision(in) abundancefromeveryplacebut it denied(the) Favors of Allah(the) Favors of Allahso Allah made it tasteso Allah made it taste(the) garb(of) the hungerand the fearfor whatthey used (to)do
16:112
وَلَقَدْجَآءَهُمْرَسُولٌۭمِّنْهُمْفَكَذَّبُوهُفَأَخَذَهُمُٱلْعَذَابُوَهُمْظَـٰلِمُونَ
ẓālimūnawahuml-ʿadhābufa-akhadhahumufakadhabūhumin'humrasūlunjāahumwalaqad
And certainlycame to thema Messengerfrom among thembut they denied himso seized themthe punishmentwhile they(were) wrongdoers
16:113
فَكُلُوا۟مِمَّارَزَقَكُمُٱللَّهُحَلَـٰلًۭاطَيِّبًۭاوَٱشْكُرُوا۟نِعْمَتَٱللَّهِإِنكُنتُمْإِيَّاهُتَعْبُدُونَ
taʿbudūnaiyyāhukuntuminl-lahiniʿ'matawa-ush'kurūṭayyibanḥalālanl-lahurazaqakumumimmāfakulū
So eatof whatAllah has provided you Allah has provided you lawfuland goodAnd be grateful(for the) Favor(of) Allahif[you]Him Aloneyou worship
16:114
إِنَّمَاحَرَّمَعَلَيْكُمُٱلْمَيْتَةَوَٱلدَّمَوَلَحْمَٱلْخِنزِيرِوَمَآأُهِلَّلِغَيْرِٱللَّهِبِهِۦ ۖفَمَنِٱضْطُرَّغَيْرَبَاغٍۢوَلَاعَادٍۢفَإِنَّٱللَّهَغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunghafūrunl-lahafa-innaʿādinwalābāghinghayrauḍ'ṭurrafamanibihil-lahilighayriuhillawamāl-khinzīriwalaḥmawal-damal-maytataʿalaykumuḥarramainnamā
OnlyHe has forbiddento youthe dead animaland the bloodand the flesh(of) the swineand whathas been dedicatedto other (than)Allah[with it]But (if) one(is) forced without (being)disobedientand nota transgressor then indeedAllah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
16:115
وَلَاتَقُولُوا۟لِمَاتَصِفُأَلْسِنَتُكُمُٱلْكَذِبَهَـٰذَاحَلَـٰلٌۭوَهَـٰذَاحَرَامٌۭلِّتَفْتَرُوا۟عَلَىٱللَّهِٱلْكَذِبَ ۚإِنَّٱلَّذِينَيَفْتَرُونَعَلَىٱللَّهِٱلْكَذِبَلَايُفْلِحُونَ
yuf'liḥūnalāl-kadhibal-lahiʿalāyaftarūnaalladhīnainnal-kadhibal-lahiʿalālitaftarūḥarāmunwahādhāḥalālunhādhāl-kadhibaalsinatukumutaṣifulimātaqūlūwalā
And (do) notsayfor that whichassertyour tonguesthe lieThis(is) lawfuland this(is) forbiddenso that you inventaboutAllahthe lieIndeedthose whoinventaboutAllahthe liethey will not succeedthey will not succeed
16:116
مَتَـٰعٌۭقَلِيلٌۭوَلَهُمْعَذَابٌأَلِيمٌۭ
alīmunʿadhābunwalahumqalīlunmatāʿun
An enjoymentlittleand for them(is) a punishmentpainful
16:117
وَعَلَىٱلَّذِينَهَادُوا۟حَرَّمْنَامَاقَصَصْنَاعَلَيْكَمِنقَبْلُ ۖوَمَاظَلَمْنَـٰهُمْوَلَـٰكِنكَانُوٓا۟أَنفُسَهُمْيَظْلِمُونَ
yaẓlimūnaanfusahumkānūwalākinẓalamnāhumwamāqabluminʿalaykaqaṣaṣnāmāḥarramnāhādūalladhīnawaʿalā
And tothose whoare JewsWe have forbiddenwhatWe relatedto youbeforebeforeAnd notWe wronged thembutthey used (to)themselveswrong
16:118
ثُمَّإِنَّرَبَّكَلِلَّذِينَعَمِلُوا۟ٱلسُّوٓءَبِجَهَـٰلَةٍۢثُمَّتَابُوا۟مِنۢبَعْدِذَٰلِكَوَأَصْلَحُوٓا۟إِنَّرَبَّكَمِنۢبَعْدِهَالَغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌ
raḥīmunlaghafūrunbaʿdihāminrabbakainnawa-aṣlaḥūdhālikabaʿdimintābūthummabijahālatinl-sūaʿamilūlilladhīnarabbakainnathumma
Thenindeedyour Lordto those whodidevilin ignorancethenrepentedafterafterthatand corrected themselves indeedyour Lordafter thatafter that(is) surely Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
16:119
إِنَّإِبْرَٰهِيمَكَانَأُمَّةًۭقَانِتًۭالِّلَّهِحَنِيفًۭاوَلَمْيَكُمِنَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
l-mush'rikīnaminayakuwalamḥanīfanlillahiqānitanummatankānaib'rāhīmainna
IndeedIbrahimwasa nationobedientto Allahuprightand nothe wasofthe polytheists
16:120
شَاكِرًۭالِّأَنْعُمِهِ ۚٱجْتَبَىٰهُوَهَدَىٰهُإِلَىٰصِرَٰطٍۢمُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
mus'taqīminṣirāṭinilāwahadāhuij'tabāhuli-anʿumihishākiran
Thankfulfor His favorsHe chose himand guided himtothe waystraight
16:121
وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُفِىٱلدُّنْيَاحَسَنَةًۭ ۖوَإِنَّهُۥفِىٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِلَمِنَٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
l-ṣāliḥīnalaminal-ākhiratifīwa-innahuḥasanatanl-dun'yāfīwaātaynāhu
And We gave himinthe worldgoodand indeed, heinthe Hereafter(he) will surely (be) amongthe righteous
16:122
ثُمَّأَوْحَيْنَآإِلَيْكَأَنِٱتَّبِعْمِلَّةَإِبْرَٰهِيمَحَنِيفًۭا ۖوَمَاكَانَمِنَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
l-mush'rikīnaminakānawamāḥanīfanib'rāhīmamillataittabiʿaniilaykaawḥaynāthumma
ThenWe revealedto youthatYou follow(the) religion(of) Ibrahimuprightand nothe wasofthe polytheists
16:123
إِنَّمَاجُعِلَٱلسَّبْتُعَلَىٱلَّذِينَٱخْتَلَفُوا۟فِيهِ ۚوَإِنَّرَبَّكَلَيَحْكُمُبَيْنَهُمْيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِفِيمَاكَانُوا۟فِيهِيَخْتَلِفُونَ
yakhtalifūnafīhikānūfīmāl-qiyāmatiyawmabaynahumlayaḥkumurabbakawa-innafīhiikh'talafūalladhīnaʿalāl-sabtujuʿilainnamā
Onlywas appointedthe Sabbathforthose whodifferedin itAnd indeedyour Lordwill surely judgebetween them(on) the Day(of) the Resurrectionin whatthey used (to)[in it]differ
16:124
ٱدْعُإِلَىٰسَبِيلِرَبِّكَبِٱلْحِكْمَةِوَٱلْمَوْعِظَةِٱلْحَسَنَةِ ۖوَجَـٰدِلْهُمبِٱلَّتِىهِىَأَحْسَنُ ۚإِنَّرَبَّكَهُوَأَعْلَمُبِمَنضَلَّعَنسَبِيلِهِۦ ۖوَهُوَأَعْلَمُبِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ
bil-muh'tadīnaaʿlamuwahuwasabīlihiʿanḍallabimanaʿlamuhuwarabbakainnaaḥsanuhiyabi-allatīwajādil'huml-ḥasanatiwal-mawʿiẓatibil-ḥik'matirabbikasabīliilāud'ʿu
Callto(the) way(of) your Lordwith the wisdomand the instructionthe goodand discuss with themin thatwhich(is) bestIndeedyour LordHe(is) most knowingof whohas strayedfromHis wayAnd He(is) most knowingof the guided ones
16:125
وَإِنْعَاقَبْتُمْفَعَاقِبُوا۟بِمِثْلِمَاعُوقِبْتُمبِهِۦ ۖوَلَئِنصَبَرْتُمْلَهُوَخَيْرٌۭلِّلصَّـٰبِرِينَ
lilṣṣābirīnakhayrunlahuwaṣabartumwala-inbihiʿūqib'tummābimith'lifaʿāqibūʿāqabtumwa-in
And ifyou retaliatethen retaliatewith the likeof whatyou were afflictedwith [it]But ifyou are patientsurely (it) isbetterfor those who are patient
16:126
وَٱصْبِرْوَمَاصَبْرُكَإِلَّابِٱللَّهِ ۚوَلَاتَحْزَنْعَلَيْهِمْوَلَاتَكُفِىضَيْقٍۢمِّمَّايَمْكُرُونَ
yamkurūnamimmāḍayqinfītakuwalāʿalayhimtaḥzanwalābil-lahiillāṣabrukawamāwa-iṣ'bir
And be patientand not(is) your patiencebutfrom AllahAnd (do) notgrieveover themand (do) notbeindistressfor whatthey plot
16:127
إِنَّٱللَّهَمَعَٱلَّذِينَٱتَّقَوا۟وَّٱلَّذِينَهُممُّحْسِنُونَ
muḥ'sinūnahumwa-alladhīnaittaqawalladhīnamaʿal-lahainna
IndeedAllah(is) withthose whofear (Him)and those who[they](are) good-doers
16:128
