Basmala
قَدْأَفْلَحَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
l-mu'minūnaaflaḥaqad
Indeedsuccessful(are) the believers
23:1
ٱلَّذِينَهُمْفِىصَلَاتِهِمْخَـٰشِعُونَ
khāshiʿūnaṣalātihimfīhumalladhīna
Those who[they]duringtheir prayers(are) humbly submissive
23:2
وَٱلَّذِينَهُمْعَنِٱللَّغْوِمُعْرِضُونَ
muʿ'riḍūnal-laghwiʿanihumwa-alladhīna
Those who[they]fromthe vain talkturn away
23:3
وَٱلَّذِينَهُمْلِلزَّكَوٰةِفَـٰعِلُونَ
fāʿilūnalilzzakatihumwa-alladhīna
Those who[they]of purification works(are) doers
23:4
وَٱلَّذِينَهُمْلِفُرُوجِهِمْحَـٰفِظُونَ
ḥāfiẓūnalifurūjihimhumwa-alladhīna
And those who[they]of their modesty(are) guardians
23:5
إِلَّاعَلَىٰٓأَزْوَٰجِهِمْأَوْمَامَلَكَتْأَيْمَـٰنُهُمْفَإِنَّهُمْغَيْرُمَلُومِينَ
malūmīnaghayrufa-innahumaymānuhummalakatmāawazwājihimʿalāillā
Exceptfromtheir spousesorwhatpossesstheir right handsthen indeed, they(are) notblameworthy
23:6
فَمَنِٱبْتَغَىٰوَرَآءَذَٰلِكَفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْعَادُونَ
l-ʿādūnahumufa-ulāikadhālikawarāaib'taghāfamani
Then whoeverseeksbeyondthatthen those[they](are) the transgressors
23:7
وَٱلَّذِينَهُمْلِأَمَـٰنَـٰتِهِمْوَعَهْدِهِمْرَٰعُونَ
rāʿūnawaʿahdihimli-amānātihimhumwa-alladhīna
And those who[they]of their trustsand their promise(s)(are) observers
23:8
وَٱلَّذِينَهُمْعَلَىٰصَلَوَٰتِهِمْيُحَافِظُونَ
yuḥāfiẓūnaṣalawātihimʿalāhumwa-alladhīna
And those who[they]overtheir prayersthey guard
23:9
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْوَٰرِثُونَ
l-wārithūnahumuulāika
Those[they](are) the inheritors
23:10
ٱلَّذِينَيَرِثُونَٱلْفِرْدَوْسَهُمْفِيهَاخَـٰلِدُونَ
khālidūnafīhāhuml-fir'dawsayarithūnaalladhīna
Whowill inheritthe ParadiseTheytherein(will) abide forever
23:11
وَلَقَدْخَلَقْنَاٱلْإِنسَـٰنَمِنسُلَـٰلَةٍۢمِّنطِينٍۢ
ṭīninminsulālatinminl-insānakhalaqnāwalaqad
And indeedWe createdthe humankindfroman essenceofclay
23:12
ثُمَّجَعَلْنَـٰهُنُطْفَةًۭفِىقَرَارٍۢمَّكِينٍۢ
makīninqarārinfīnuṭ'fatanjaʿalnāhuthumma
ThenWe placed him(as) a semen-dropina resting placefirm
23:13
ثُمَّخَلَقْنَاٱلنُّطْفَةَعَلَقَةًۭفَخَلَقْنَاٱلْعَلَقَةَمُضْغَةًۭفَخَلَقْنَاٱلْمُضْغَةَعِظَـٰمًۭافَكَسَوْنَاٱلْعِظَـٰمَلَحْمًۭاثُمَّأَنشَأْنَـٰهُخَلْقًاءَاخَرَ ۚفَتَبَارَكَٱللَّهُأَحْسَنُٱلْخَـٰلِقِينَ
l-khāliqīnaaḥsanul-lahufatabārakaākharakhalqananshanāhuthummalaḥmanl-ʿiẓāmafakasawnāʿiẓāmanl-muḍ'ghatafakhalaqnāmuḍ'ghatanl-ʿalaqatafakhalaqnāʿalaqatanl-nuṭ'fatakhalaqnāthumma
ThenWe createdthe semen-drop(into) a clinging substancethen We createdthe clinging substance(into) an embryonic lumpthen We createdthe embryonic lump(into) bonesthen We clothedthe bones(with) fleshthenWe produce it(as) a creationanotherSo blessed isAllah(the) Best(of) the Creators
23:14
ثُمَّإِنَّكُمبَعْدَذَٰلِكَلَمَيِّتُونَ
lamayyitūnadhālikabaʿdainnakumthumma
Thenindeed, youafterthatsurely (will) die
23:15
ثُمَّإِنَّكُمْيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِتُبْعَثُونَ
tub'ʿathūnal-qiyāmatiyawmainnakumthumma
Thenindeed, you(on the) Day(of) the Resurrectionwill be resurrected
23:16
وَلَقَدْخَلَقْنَافَوْقَكُمْسَبْعَطَرَآئِقَوَمَاكُنَّاعَنِٱلْخَلْقِغَـٰفِلِينَ
ghāfilīnal-khalqiʿanikunnāwamāṭarāiqasabʿafawqakumkhalaqnāwalaqad
And indeedWe (have) createdabove yousevenpathsand notWe areofthe creationunaware
23:17
وَأَنزَلْنَامِنَٱلسَّمَآءِمَآءًۢبِقَدَرٍۢفَأَسْكَنَّـٰهُفِىٱلْأَرْضِ ۖوَإِنَّاعَلَىٰذَهَابٍۭبِهِۦلَقَـٰدِرُونَ
laqādirūnabihidhahābinʿalāwa-innāl-arḍifīfa-askannāhubiqadarinmāanl-samāiminawa-anzalnā
And We send downfromthe skywaterin (due) measurethen We cause it to settleinthe earthAnd indeed, Weontaking it awaytaking it awaysurely (are) Able
23:18
فَأَنشَأْنَالَكُمبِهِۦجَنَّـٰتٍۢمِّننَّخِيلٍۢوَأَعْنَـٰبٍۢلَّكُمْفِيهَافَوَٰكِهُكَثِيرَةٌۭوَمِنْهَاتَأْكُلُونَ
takulūnawamin'hākathīratunfawākihufīhālakumwa-aʿnābinnakhīlinminjannātinbihilakumfa-anshanā
Then We producedfor youby itgardensof date-palmsof date-palmsand grapevinesfor youin it(are) fruitsabundantand from themyou eat
23:19
وَشَجَرَةًۭتَخْرُجُمِنطُورِسَيْنَآءَتَنۢبُتُبِٱلدُّهْنِوَصِبْغٍۢلِّلْـَٔاكِلِينَ
lil'ākilīnawaṣib'ghinbil-duh'nitanbutusaynāaṭūrimintakhrujuwashajaratan
And a tree(that) springs forthfromMount SinaiMount Sinai(which) producesoiland a relishfor those who eat
23:20
وَإِنَّلَكُمْفِىٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِلَعِبْرَةًۭ ۖنُّسْقِيكُممِّمَّافِىبُطُونِهَاوَلَكُمْفِيهَامَنَـٰفِعُكَثِيرَةٌۭوَمِنْهَاتَأْكُلُونَ
takulūnawamin'hākathīratunmanāfiʿufīhāwalakumbuṭūnihāfīmimmānus'qīkumlaʿib'ratanl-anʿāmifīlakumwa-inna
And indeedfor youinthe cattlesurely, (is) a lessonWe give you drinkfrom what(is) intheir belliesand for youin them(are) benefitsmanyand of themyou eat
23:21
وَعَلَيْهَاوَعَلَىٱلْفُلْكِتُحْمَلُونَ
tuḥ'malūnal-ful'kiwaʿalāwaʿalayhā
And on themand on[the] shipsyou are carried
23:22
وَلَقَدْأَرْسَلْنَانُوحًاإِلَىٰقَوْمِهِۦفَقَالَيَـٰقَوْمِٱعْبُدُوا۟ٱللَّهَمَالَكُممِّنْإِلَـٰهٍغَيْرُهُۥٓ ۖأَفَلَاتَتَّقُونَ
tattaqūnaafalāghayruhuilāhinminlakummāl-lahauʿ'budūyāqawmifaqālaqawmihiilānūḥanarsalnāwalaqad
And verilyWe sentNuhtohis peopleand he saidO my peopleWorshipAllahnotfor you(is) anygodother than HimThen will notyou fear
23:23
فَقَالَٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟مِنقَوْمِهِۦمَاهَـٰذَآإِلَّابَشَرٌۭمِّثْلُكُمْيُرِيدُأَنيَتَفَضَّلَعَلَيْكُمْوَلَوْشَآءَٱللَّهُلَأَنزَلَمَلَـٰٓئِكَةًۭمَّاسَمِعْنَابِهَـٰذَافِىٓءَابَآئِنَاٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnaābāināfībihādhāsamiʿ'nāmāmalāikatanla-anzalal-lahushāawalawʿalaykumyatafaḍḍalaanyurīdumith'lukumbasharunillāhādhāmāqawmihiminkafarūalladhīnal-mala-ufaqāla
But saidthe chiefs(of) those whodisbelievedamonghis peopleThis is notThis is notbuta manlike youhe wishestoassert (his) superiorityover youand ifAllah had willedAllah had willedsurely He (would have) sent downAngelsNotwe heardof thisfromour forefathersour forefathers
23:24
إِنْهُوَإِلَّارَجُلٌۢبِهِۦجِنَّةٌۭفَتَرَبَّصُوا۟بِهِۦحَتَّىٰحِينٍۢ
ḥīninḥattābihifatarabbaṣūjinnatunbihirajulunillāhuwain
Nothe(is) buta manin him(is) madnessso waitconcerning himuntila time
23:25
قَالَرَبِّٱنصُرْنِىبِمَاكَذَّبُونِ
kadhabūnibimāunṣur'nīrabbiqāla
He saidMy LordHelp mebecausethey deny me
23:26
فَأَوْحَيْنَآإِلَيْهِأَنِٱصْنَعِٱلْفُلْكَبِأَعْيُنِنَاوَوَحْيِنَافَإِذَاجَآءَأَمْرُنَاوَفَارَٱلتَّنُّورُ ۙفَٱسْلُكْفِيهَامِنكُلٍّۢزَوْجَيْنِٱثْنَيْنِوَأَهْلَكَإِلَّامَنسَبَقَعَلَيْهِٱلْقَوْلُمِنْهُمْ ۖوَلَاتُخَـٰطِبْنِىفِىٱلَّذِينَظَلَمُوٓا۟ ۖإِنَّهُممُّغْرَقُونَ
mugh'raqūnainnahumẓalamūalladhīnafītukhāṭib'nīwalāmin'huml-qawluʿalayhisabaqamanillāwa-ahlakaith'naynizawjaynikullinminfīhāfa-us'lukl-tanūruwafāraamrunājāafa-idhāwawaḥyinābi-aʿyunināl-ful'kaiṣ'naʿianiilayhifa-awḥaynā
So We inspiredto himThatconstructthe shipunder Our eyesand Our inspirationthen whencomesOur Commandand gushes forththe oventhen putinto itofevery (kind)(of) matestwoand your familyexceptthose(has) precededagainst whomthe WordthereofAnd (do) notaddress Meconcerningthose whowrongedindeed, they(are) the ones to be drowned
23:27
فَإِذَاٱسْتَوَيْتَأَنتَوَمَنمَّعَكَعَلَىٱلْفُلْكِفَقُلِٱلْحَمْدُلِلَّهِٱلَّذِىنَجَّىٰنَامِنَٱلْقَوْمِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnal-qawmiminanajjānāalladhīlillahil-ḥamdufaqulil-ful'kiʿalāmaʿakawamanantais'tawaytafa-idhā
And whenyou (have) boardedyouand whoever(is) with you[on]the shipthen sayPraise(be) to AllahWho(has) saved usfromthe people the wrongdoers
23:28
وَقُلرَّبِّأَنزِلْنِىمُنزَلًۭامُّبَارَكًۭاوَأَنتَخَيْرُٱلْمُنزِلِينَ
l-munzilīnakhayruwa-antamubārakanmunzalananzil'nīrabbiwaqul
And sayMy Lordcause me to land(at) a landing placeblessedand You(are) the Best(of) those who cause to land.'
23:29
إِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢوَإِنكُنَّالَمُبْتَلِينَ
lamub'talīnakunnāwa-inlaāyātindhālikafīinna
Indeedinthatsurely (are) Signsand indeedWe aresurely testing
23:30
ثُمَّأَنشَأْنَامِنۢبَعْدِهِمْقَرْنًاءَاخَرِينَ
ākharīnaqarnanbaʿdihimminanshanāthumma
ThenWe producedafter themafter thema generationanother
23:31
فَأَرْسَلْنَافِيهِمْرَسُولًۭامِّنْهُمْأَنِٱعْبُدُوا۟ٱللَّهَمَالَكُممِّنْإِلَـٰهٍغَيْرُهُۥٓ ۖأَفَلَاتَتَّقُونَ
tattaqūnaafalāghayruhuilāhinminlakummāl-lahauʿ'budūanimin'humrasūlanfīhimfa-arsalnā
And We sentamong thema Messengerfrom themselves[that]WorshipAllahnotfor you(is) anygodother than HimThen will notyou fear
23:32
وَقَالَٱلْمَلَأُمِنقَوْمِهِٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟وَكَذَّبُوا۟بِلِقَآءِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِوَأَتْرَفْنَـٰهُمْفِىٱلْحَيَوٰةِٱلدُّنْيَامَاهَـٰذَآإِلَّابَشَرٌۭمِّثْلُكُمْيَأْكُلُمِمَّاتَأْكُلُونَمِنْهُوَيَشْرَبُمِمَّاتَشْرَبُونَ
tashrabūnamimmāwayashrabumin'hutakulūnamimmāyakulumith'lukumbasharunillāhādhāmāl-dun'yāl-ḥayatifīwa-atrafnāhuml-ākhiratibiliqāiwakadhabūkafarūalladhīnaqawmihiminl-mala-uwaqāla
And saidthe chiefsofhis peoplewhodisbelievedand denied(the) meeting(of) the Hereafterwhile We had given them luxuryinthe life(of) the worldNot(is) thisbuta manlike youHe eatsof whatyou eat[from it]and he drinksof whatyou drink
23:33
وَلَئِنْأَطَعْتُمبَشَرًۭامِّثْلَكُمْإِنَّكُمْإِذًۭالَّخَـٰسِرُونَ
lakhāsirūnaidhaninnakummith'lakumbasharanaṭaʿtumwala-in
And surely ifyou obeya manlike youindeed, youthensurely (will be) losers
23:34
أَيَعِدُكُمْأَنَّكُمْإِذَامِتُّمْوَكُنتُمْتُرَابًۭاوَعِظَـٰمًاأَنَّكُممُّخْرَجُونَ
mukh'rajūnaannakumwaʿiẓāmanturābanwakuntummittumidhāannakumayaʿidukum
Does he promise you that youwhenyou are deadand you becomedustand bonesthat you(will be) brought forth
23:35
۞ هَيْهَاتَهَيْهَاتَلِمَاتُوعَدُونَ
tūʿadūnalimāhayhātahayhāta
Far-(fetched)far-(fetched)is whatyou are promised
23:36
إِنْهِىَإِلَّاحَيَاتُنَاٱلدُّنْيَانَمُوتُوَنَحْيَاوَمَانَحْنُبِمَبْعُوثِينَ
bimabʿūthīnanaḥnuwamāwanaḥyānamūtul-dun'yāḥayātunāillāhiyain
Notit(is) butour life(of) the worldwe dieand we liveand notwe(will be) resurrected
23:37
إِنْهُوَإِلَّارَجُلٌٱفْتَرَىٰعَلَىٱللَّهِكَذِبًۭاوَمَانَحْنُلَهُۥبِمُؤْمِنِينَ
bimu'minīnalahunaḥnuwamākadhibanl-lahiʿalāif'tarārajulunillāhuwain
Not(is) hebuta manwho (has) inventedaboutAllaha lieand notwe(in) him(are) believers
23:38
قَالَرَبِّٱنصُرْنِىبِمَاكَذَّبُونِ
kadhabūnibimāunṣur'nīrabbiqāla
He saidMy LordHelp mebecausethey deny me
23:39
قَالَعَمَّاقَلِيلٍۢلَّيُصْبِحُنَّنَـٰدِمِينَ
nādimīnalayuṣ'biḥunnaqalīlinʿammāqāla
He saidAfter a little whileAfter a little whilesurely they will becomeregretful
23:40
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُٱلصَّيْحَةُبِٱلْحَقِّفَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْغُثَآءًۭ ۚفَبُعْدًۭالِّلْقَوْمِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnalil'qawmifabuʿ'danghuthāanfajaʿalnāhumbil-ḥaqil-ṣayḥatufa-akhadhathumu
So seized themthe awful cryin truthand We made them(as) rubbish of dead leavesSo awaywith the people the wrongdoers
23:41
ثُمَّأَنشَأْنَامِنۢبَعْدِهِمْقُرُونًاءَاخَرِينَ
ākharīnaqurūnanbaʿdihimminanshanāthumma
ThenWe producedafter themafter thema generationanother
23:42
مَاتَسْبِقُمِنْأُمَّةٍأَجَلَهَاوَمَايَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ
yastakhirūnawamāajalahāummatinmintasbiqumā
Notcan precedeanynationits termand notthey (can) delay (it)
23:43
ثُمَّأَرْسَلْنَارُسُلَنَاتَتْرَا ۖكُلَّمَاجَآءَأُمَّةًۭرَّسُولُهَاكَذَّبُوهُ ۚفَأَتْبَعْنَابَعْضَهُمبَعْضًۭاوَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْأَحَادِيثَ ۚفَبُعْدًۭالِّقَوْمٍۢلَّايُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūnalāliqawminfabuʿ'danaḥādīthawajaʿalnāhumbaʿḍanbaʿḍahumfa-atbaʿnākadhabūhurasūluhāummatanjāamākullatatrārusulanāarsalnāthumma
ThenWe sentOur Messengers(in) successionEvery timeEvery timecame(to) a nationits Messengerthey denied himso We made (them) follow some of themothersand We made themnarrationsSo awaywith a people notthey believe
23:44
ثُمَّأَرْسَلْنَامُوسَىٰوَأَخَاهُهَـٰرُونَبِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاوَسُلْطَـٰنٍۢمُّبِينٍ
mubīninwasul'ṭāninbiāyātināhārūnawa-akhāhumūsāarsalnāthumma
ThenWe sentMusaand his brotherHarunwith Our Signsand an authorityclear
23:45
إِلَىٰفِرْعَوْنَوَمَلَإِي۟هِۦفَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟وَكَانُوا۟قَوْمًاعَالِينَ
ʿālīnaqawmanwakānūfa-is'takbarūwamala-ihifir'ʿawnailā
ToFiraunand his chiefsbut they behaved arrogantlyand they werea peoplehaughty
23:46
فَقَالُوٓا۟أَنُؤْمِنُلِبَشَرَيْنِمِثْلِنَاوَقَوْمُهُمَالَنَاعَـٰبِدُونَ
ʿābidūnalanāwaqawmuhumāmith'linālibasharaynianu'minufaqālū
Then they saidShall we believe(in) two menlike ourselveswhile their peoplefor us(are) slaves
23:47
فَكَذَّبُوهُمَافَكَانُوا۟مِنَٱلْمُهْلَكِينَ
l-muh'lakīnaminafakānūfakadhabūhumā
So they denied themand they becameofthose who were destroyed
23:48
وَلَقَدْءَاتَيْنَامُوسَىٱلْكِتَـٰبَلَعَلَّهُمْيَهْتَدُونَ
yahtadūnalaʿallahuml-kitābamūsāātaynāwalaqad
And verilyWe gaveMusathe Scriptureso that they maybe guided
23:49
وَجَعَلْنَاٱبْنَمَرْيَمَوَأُمَّهُۥٓءَايَةًۭوَءَاوَيْنَـٰهُمَآإِلَىٰرَبْوَةٍۢذَاتِقَرَارٍۢوَمَعِينٍۢ
wamaʿīninqarārindhātirabwatinilāwaāwaynāhumāāyatanwa-ummahumaryamaib'nawajaʿalnā
And We made(the) son(of) Maryamand his mothera Signand We sheltered themtoa high groundof tranquilityof tranquilityand water springs
23:50
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلرُّسُلُكُلُوا۟مِنَٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِوَٱعْمَلُوا۟صَـٰلِحًا ۖإِنِّىبِمَاتَعْمَلُونَعَلِيمٌۭ
ʿalīmuntaʿmalūnabimāinnīṣāliḥanwa-iʿ'malūl-ṭayibātiminakulūl-rusuluyāayyuhā
O MessengersO MessengersEatofthe good thingsand dorighteous (deeds)Indeed, I Amof whatyou doAll-Knower
23:51
وَإِنَّهَـٰذِهِۦٓأُمَّتُكُمْأُمَّةًۭوَٰحِدَةًۭوَأَنَا۠رَبُّكُمْفَٱتَّقُونِ
fa-ittaqūnirabbukumwa-anāwāḥidatanummatanummatukumhādhihiwa-inna
And indeedthisyour religion(is) religiononeAnd I Amyour Lordso fear Me
23:52
فَتَقَطَّعُوٓا۟أَمْرَهُمبَيْنَهُمْزُبُرًۭا ۖكُلُّحِزْبٍۭبِمَالَدَيْهِمْفَرِحُونَ
fariḥūnaladayhimbimāḥiz'binkulluzuburanbaynahumamrahumfataqaṭṭaʿū
But they cut offtheir affair (of unity)between them(into) sectseachfactionin whatthey haverejoicing
23:53
فَذَرْهُمْفِىغَمْرَتِهِمْحَتَّىٰحِينٍ
ḥīninḥattāghamratihimfīfadharhum
So leave themintheir confusionuntila time
23:54
أَيَحْسَبُونَأَنَّمَانُمِدُّهُمبِهِۦمِنمَّالٍۢوَبَنِينَ
wabanīnamālinminbihinumidduhumannamāayaḥsabūna
Do they thinkthat whatWe extend to them[with it]ofwealthand children
23:55
نُسَارِعُلَهُمْفِىٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ ۚبَللَّايَشْعُرُونَ
yashʿurūnalāball-khayrātifīlahumnusāriʿu
We hastento theminthe goodNaynotthey perceive
23:56
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَهُممِّنْخَشْيَةِرَبِّهِممُّشْفِقُونَ
mush'fiqūnarabbihimkhashyatiminhumalladhīnainna
Indeedthose who[they]from(the) fear(of) their Lord(are) cautious
23:57
وَٱلَّذِينَهُمبِـَٔايَـٰتِرَبِّهِمْيُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūnarabbihimbiāyātihumwa-alladhīna
And those[they]in (the) Signs(of) their Lordbelieve
23:58
وَٱلَّذِينَهُمبِرَبِّهِمْلَايُشْرِكُونَ
yush'rikūnalābirabbihimhumwa-alladhīna
And those[they]with their Lord(do) notassociate partners
23:59
وَٱلَّذِينَيُؤْتُونَمَآءَاتَوا۟وَّقُلُوبُهُمْوَجِلَةٌأَنَّهُمْإِلَىٰرَبِّهِمْرَٰجِعُونَ
rājiʿūnarabbihimilāannahumwajilatunwaqulūbuhumātawmāyu'tūnawa-alladhīna
And those whogivewhatthey givewhile their hearts(are) fearfulbecause theytotheir Lord(will) return
23:60
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَيُسَـٰرِعُونَفِىٱلْخَيْرَٰتِوَهُمْلَهَاسَـٰبِقُونَ
sābiqūnalahāwahuml-khayrātifīyusāriʿūnaulāika
(It is) thosewho hasteninthe good (deeds)and theyin them(are) foremost
23:61
وَلَانُكَلِّفُنَفْسًاإِلَّاوُسْعَهَا ۖوَلَدَيْنَاكِتَـٰبٌۭيَنطِقُبِٱلْحَقِّ ۚوَهُمْلَايُظْلَمُونَ
yuẓ'lamūnalāwahumbil-ḥaqiyanṭiqukitābunwaladaynāwus'ʿahāillānafsannukallifuwalā
And notWe burdenany soulexcept(to) its capacityand with Us(is) a Record(which) speakswith the truthand they(will) notbe wronged
23:62
بَلْقُلُوبُهُمْفِىغَمْرَةٍۢمِّنْهَـٰذَاوَلَهُمْأَعْمَـٰلٌۭمِّندُونِذَٰلِكَهُمْلَهَاعَـٰمِلُونَ
ʿāmilūnalahāhumdhālikadūniminaʿmālunwalahumhādhāminghamratinfīqulūbuhumbal
Naytheir hearts(are) inconfusionoverthisand for them(are) deedsbesidesbesidesthattheyfor it(are) doers
23:63
حَتَّىٰٓإِذَآأَخَذْنَامُتْرَفِيهِمبِٱلْعَذَابِإِذَاهُمْيَجْـَٔرُونَ
yajarūnahumidhābil-ʿadhābimut'rafīhimakhadhnāidhāḥattā
UntilwhenWe seizetheir affluent oneswith the punishmentbeholdTheycry for help
23:64
لَاتَجْـَٔرُوا۟ٱلْيَوْمَ ۖإِنَّكُممِّنَّالَاتُنصَرُونَ
tunṣarūnalāminnāinnakuml-yawmatajarūlā
(Do) notcry for helptodayIndeed, youfrom Usnotwill be helped
23:65
قَدْكَانَتْءَايَـٰتِىتُتْلَىٰعَلَيْكُمْفَكُنتُمْعَلَىٰٓأَعْقَـٰبِكُمْتَنكِصُونَ
tankiṣūnaaʿqābikumʿalāfakuntumʿalaykumtut'lāāyātīkānatqad
VerilywereMy Versesrecitedto youbut you used(to) onyour heelsturn back
23:66
مُسْتَكْبِرِينَبِهِۦسَـٰمِرًۭاتَهْجُرُونَ
tahjurūnasāmiranbihimus'takbirīna
(Being) arrogantabout itconversing by nightspeaking evil
23:67
أَفَلَمْيَدَّبَّرُوا۟ٱلْقَوْلَأَمْجَآءَهُممَّالَمْيَأْتِءَابَآءَهُمُٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnaābāahumuyatilammājāahumaml-qawlayaddabbarūafalam
Then, do notthey ponderthe Wordorhas come to themwhatnot(had) come(to) their forefathers(to) their forefathers
23:68
أَمْلَمْيَعْرِفُوا۟رَسُولَهُمْفَهُمْلَهُۥمُنكِرُونَ
munkirūnalahufahumrasūlahumyaʿrifūlamam
Or(do) notthey recognizetheir Messengerso they(are) rejecting him(are) rejecting him
23:69
أَمْيَقُولُونَبِهِۦجِنَّةٌۢ ۚبَلْجَآءَهُمبِٱلْحَقِّوَأَكْثَرُهُمْلِلْحَقِّكَـٰرِهُونَ
kārihūnalil'ḥaqqiwa-aktharuhumbil-ḥaqijāahumbaljinnatunbihiyaqūlūnaam
Orthey sayIn him(is) madnessNayhe brought themthe truthbut most of themto the truth(are) averse
23:70
وَلَوِٱتَّبَعَٱلْحَقُّأَهْوَآءَهُمْلَفَسَدَتِٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتُوَٱلْأَرْضُوَمَنفِيهِنَّ ۚبَلْأَتَيْنَـٰهُمبِذِكْرِهِمْفَهُمْعَنذِكْرِهِممُّعْرِضُونَ
muʿ'riḍūnadhik'rihimʿanfahumbidhik'rihimataynāhumbalfīhinnawamanwal-arḍul-samāwātulafasadatiahwāahuml-ḥaquittabaʿawalawi
But if(had) followedthe truththeir desiressurely (would) have been corruptedthe heavensand the earthand whoever(is) thereinNayWe have brought themtheir reminderbut theyfromtheir reminder(are) turning away
23:71
أَمْتَسْـَٔلُهُمْخَرْجًۭافَخَرَاجُرَبِّكَخَيْرٌۭ ۖوَهُوَخَيْرُٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ
l-rāziqīnakhayruwahuwakhayrunrabbikafakharājukharjantasaluhumam
Oryou ask them(for) a paymentBut the payment(of) your Lord(is) bestand He(is) the Best(of) the Providers
23:72
وَإِنَّكَلَتَدْعُوهُمْإِلَىٰصِرَٰطٍۢمُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
mus'taqīminṣirāṭinilālatadʿūhumwa-innaka
And indeed, youcertainly call themto(the) PathStraight
23:73
وَإِنَّٱلَّذِينَلَايُؤْمِنُونَبِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِعَنِٱلصِّرَٰطِلَنَـٰكِبُونَ
lanākibūnal-ṣirāṭiʿanibil-ākhiratiyu'minūnalāalladhīnawa-inna
And indeedthose who(do) notbelievein the Hereafterfromthe pathsurely (are) deviating
23:74
۞ وَلَوْرَحِمْنَـٰهُمْوَكَشَفْنَامَابِهِممِّنضُرٍّۢلَّلَجُّوا۟فِىطُغْيَـٰنِهِمْيَعْمَهُونَ
yaʿmahūnaṭugh'yānihimfīlalajjūḍurrinminbihimmāwakashafnāraḥim'nāhumwalaw
And ifWe had mercy on themand We removedwhat(was) on themof(the) hardshipsurely they would persistintheir transgressionwandering blindly
23:75
وَلَقَدْأَخَذْنَـٰهُمبِٱلْعَذَابِفَمَاٱسْتَكَانُوا۟لِرَبِّهِمْوَمَايَتَضَرَّعُونَ
yataḍarraʿūnawamālirabbihimis'takānūfamābil-ʿadhābiakhadhnāhumwalaqad
And verilyWe seized themwith the punishmentbut notthey submitto their Lordand notthey supplicate humbly
23:76
حَتَّىٰٓإِذَافَتَحْنَاعَلَيْهِمبَابًۭاذَاعَذَابٍۢشَدِيدٍإِذَاهُمْفِيهِمُبْلِسُونَ
mub'lisūnafīhihumidhāshadīdinʿadhābindhābābanʿalayhimfataḥnāidhāḥattā
UntilwhenWe openedfor thema gateof a punishmentof a punishmentseverebeholdTheyin it(will be in) despair
23:77
وَهُوَٱلَّذِىٓأَنشَأَلَكُمُٱلسَّمْعَوَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرَوَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَ ۚقَلِيلًۭامَّاتَشْكُرُونَ
tashkurūnamāqalīlanwal-afidatawal-abṣāral-samʿalakumuansha-aalladhīwahuwa
And He(is) the One Whoproducedfor youthe hearingand the sightand the feelinglittle(is) whatyou give thanks
23:78
وَهُوَٱلَّذِىذَرَأَكُمْفِىٱلْأَرْضِوَإِلَيْهِتُحْشَرُونَ
tuḥ'sharūnawa-ilayhil-arḍifīdhara-akumalladhīwahuwa
And He(is) the One Whomultiplied youinthe earthand to Himyou will be gathered
23:79
وَهُوَٱلَّذِىيُحْىِۦوَيُمِيتُوَلَهُٱخْتِلَـٰفُٱلَّيْلِوَٱلنَّهَارِ ۚأَفَلَاتَعْقِلُونَ
taʿqilūnaafalāwal-nahārial-layliikh'tilāfuwalahuwayumītuyuḥ'yīalladhīwahuwa
And He(is) the One Whogives lifeand causes deathand for Him(is the) alternation(of) the nightand the dayThen will notyou reason
23:80
بَلْقَالُوا۟مِثْلَمَاقَالَٱلْأَوَّلُونَ
l-awalūnaqālamāmith'laqālūbal
Naythey say(the) like(of) whatsaidthe former (people)
23:81
قَالُوٓا۟أَءِذَامِتْنَاوَكُنَّاتُرَابًۭاوَعِظَـٰمًاأَءِنَّالَمَبْعُوثُونَ
lamabʿūthūnaa-innāwaʿiẓāmanturābanwakunnāmit'nāa-idhāqālū
They saidWhat! Whenwe are deadand becomedustand boneswould wesurely be resurrected
23:82
لَقَدْوُعِدْنَانَحْنُوَءَابَآؤُنَاهَـٰذَامِنقَبْلُإِنْهَـٰذَآإِلَّآأَسَـٰطِيرُٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnaasāṭīruillāhādhāinqabluminhādhāwaābāunānaḥnuwuʿid'nālaqad
Verilywe have been promised[we]and our forefathersthisbeforebeforenot(is) thisbut(the) tales(of) the former (people)
23:83
قُللِّمَنِٱلْأَرْضُوَمَنفِيهَآإِنكُنتُمْتَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūnakuntuminfīhāwamanl-arḍulimaniqul
SayTo whom (belongs)the earthand whoever(is) in itifyouknow
23:84
سَيَقُولُونَلِلَّهِ ۚقُلْأَفَلَاتَذَكَّرُونَ
tadhakkarūnaafalāqullillahisayaqūlūna
They will sayTo AllahSayThen will notyou remember
23:85
قُلْمَنرَّبُّٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِٱلسَّبْعِوَرَبُّٱلْعَرْشِٱلْعَظِيمِ
l-ʿaẓīmil-ʿarshiwarabbul-sabʿil-samāwātirabbumanqul
SayWho(is the) Lord(of) the seven heavens(of) the seven heavensand (the) Lord(of) the Thronethe Great
23:86
سَيَقُولُونَلِلَّهِ ۚقُلْأَفَلَاتَتَّقُونَ
tattaqūnaafalāqullillahisayaqūlūna
They will sayAllahSayThen will notyou fear (Him)
23:87
قُلْمَنۢبِيَدِهِۦمَلَكُوتُكُلِّشَىْءٍۢوَهُوَيُجِيرُوَلَايُجَارُعَلَيْهِإِنكُنتُمْتَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūnakuntuminʿalayhiyujāruwalāyujīruwahuwashayinkullimalakūtubiyadihimanqul
SayWho is (it)in Whose Hand(s)(is the) dominion(of) allthingsand Heprotectsand no (one)(can) be protectedagainst HimIfyouknow
23:88
سَيَقُولُونَلِلَّهِ ۚقُلْفَأَنَّىٰتُسْحَرُونَ
tus'ḥarūnafa-annāqullillahisayaqūlūna
They will sayAllahSayThen howare you deluded
23:89
بَلْأَتَيْنَـٰهُمبِٱلْحَقِّوَإِنَّهُمْلَكَـٰذِبُونَ
lakādhibūnawa-innahumbil-ḥaqiataynāhumbal
NayWe (have) brought themthe truthbut indeed, theysurely, (are) liars
23:90
مَاٱتَّخَذَٱللَّهُمِنوَلَدٍۢوَمَاكَانَمَعَهُۥمِنْإِلَـٰهٍ ۚإِذًۭالَّذَهَبَكُلُّإِلَـٰهٍۭبِمَاخَلَقَوَلَعَلَابَعْضُهُمْعَلَىٰبَعْضٍۢ ۚسُبْحَـٰنَٱللَّهِعَمَّايَصِفُونَ
yaṣifūnaʿammāl-lahisub'ḥānabaʿḍinʿalābaʿḍuhumwalaʿalākhalaqabimāilāhinkulluladhahabaidhanilāhinminmaʿahukānawamāwaladinminl-lahuittakhadhamā
NotAllah has takenAllah has takenanysonand notiswith HimanygodThensurely (would have) taken awayeachgodwhathe createdand surely would have overpoweredsome of them[on]othersGlory be(to) Allahabove whatthey attribute
23:91
عَـٰلِمِٱلْغَيْبِوَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِفَتَعَـٰلَىٰعَمَّايُشْرِكُونَ
yush'rikūnaʿammāfataʿālāwal-shahādatil-ghaybiʿālimi
Knower(of) the unseenand the witnessedexalted is Heabove whatthey associate
23:92
قُلرَّبِّإِمَّاتُرِيَنِّىمَايُوعَدُونَ
yūʿadūnamāturiyannīimmārabbiqul
SayMy LordIfYou should show mewhatthey are promised
23:93
رَبِّفَلَاتَجْعَلْنِىفِىٱلْقَوْمِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnal-qawmifītajʿalnīfalārabbi
My Lordthen (do) notplace meamongthe people the wrongdoers
23:94
وَإِنَّاعَلَىٰٓأَننُّرِيَكَمَانَعِدُهُمْلَقَـٰدِرُونَ
laqādirūnanaʿiduhummānuriyakaanʿalāwa-innā
And indeed WeonthatWe show youwhatWe have promised themsurely able
23:95
ٱدْفَعْبِٱلَّتِىهِىَأَحْسَنُٱلسَّيِّئَةَ ۚنَحْنُأَعْلَمُبِمَايَصِفُونَ
yaṣifūnabimāaʿlamunaḥnul-sayi-ataaḥsanuhiyabi-allatīid'faʿ
Repelby thatwhich(is) best the evilWeknow bestof whatthey attribute
23:96
وَقُلرَّبِّأَعُوذُبِكَمِنْهَمَزَٰتِٱلشَّيَـٰطِينِ
l-shayāṭīnihamazātiminbikaaʿūdhurabbiwaqul
And sayMy LordI seek refugein Youfrom(the) suggestions(of) the evil ones
23:97
وَأَعُوذُبِكَرَبِّأَنيَحْضُرُونِ
yaḥḍurūnianrabbibikawa-aʿūdhu
And I seek refugein YouMy LordLestthey be present with me
23:98
حَتَّىٰٓإِذَاجَآءَأَحَدَهُمُٱلْمَوْتُقَالَرَبِّٱرْجِعُونِ
ir'jiʿūnirabbiqālal-mawtuaḥadahumujāaidhāḥattā
Untilwhencomes(to) one of themthe deathhe saysMy LordSend me back
23:99
لَعَلِّىٓأَعْمَلُصَـٰلِحًۭافِيمَاتَرَكْتُ ۚكَلَّآ ۚإِنَّهَاكَلِمَةٌهُوَقَآئِلُهَا ۖوَمِنوَرَآئِهِمبَرْزَخٌإِلَىٰيَوْمِيُبْعَثُونَ
yub'ʿathūnayawmiilābarzakhunwarāihimwaminqāiluhāhuwakalimatuninnahākallātaraktufīmāṣāliḥanaʿmalulaʿallī
That I maydorighteous (deeds)in whatI left behindNoIndeed, it(is) a wordhespeaks itand before themand before them(is) a barriertill(the) Daythey are resurrected
23:100
فَإِذَانُفِخَفِىٱلصُّورِفَلَآأَنسَابَبَيْنَهُمْيَوْمَئِذٍۢوَلَايَتَسَآءَلُونَ
yatasāalūnawalāyawma-idhinbaynahumansābafalāl-ṣūrifīnufikhafa-idhā
So whenis blowninthe trumpetthen not(there) will be relationshipamong themthat Dayand notwill they ask each other
23:101
فَمَنثَقُلَتْمَوَٰزِينُهُۥفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ
l-muf'liḥūnahumufa-ulāikamawāzīnuhuthaqulatfaman
Then (the one) whose(are) heavyhis scalesthen those they(are) the successful
23:102
وَمَنْخَفَّتْمَوَٰزِينُهُۥفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَٱلَّذِينَخَسِرُوٓا۟أَنفُسَهُمْفِىجَهَنَّمَخَـٰلِدُونَ
khālidūnajahannamafīanfusahumkhasirūalladhīnafa-ulāikamawāzīnuhukhaffatwaman
But (the one) whose(are) lighthis scalesthen thosethey [who]have losttheir soulsinHellthey (will) abide forever
23:103
تَلْفَحُوُجُوهَهُمُٱلنَّارُوَهُمْفِيهَاكَـٰلِحُونَ
kāliḥūnafīhāwahuml-nāruwujūhahumutalfaḥu
Will burntheir facesthe Fireand theyin it(will) grin with displaced lips
23:104
أَلَمْتَكُنْءَايَـٰتِىتُتْلَىٰعَلَيْكُمْفَكُنتُمبِهَاتُكَذِّبُونَ
tukadhibūnabihāfakuntumʿalaykumtut'lāāyātītakunalam
Were notWere notMy Versesrecitedto youand you used (to)deny themdeny them
23:105
قَالُوا۟رَبَّنَاغَلَبَتْعَلَيْنَاشِقْوَتُنَاوَكُنَّاقَوْمًۭاضَآلِّينَ
ḍāllīnaqawmanwakunnāshiq'watunāʿalaynāghalabatrabbanāqālū
They (will) sayOur LordOvercame[on] usour wretchednessand we werea peopleastray
23:106
رَبَّنَآأَخْرِجْنَامِنْهَافَإِنْعُدْنَافَإِنَّاظَـٰلِمُونَ
ẓālimūnafa-innāʿud'nāfa-inmin'hāakhrij'nārabbanā
Our LordBring us outfrom itthen ifwe returnthen indeed, we(would be) wrongdoers
23:107
قَالَٱخْسَـُٔوا۟فِيهَاوَلَاتُكَلِّمُونِ
tukallimūniwalāfīhāikh'saūqāla
He (will) sayRemain despisedin itand (do) notspeak to Me
23:108
إِنَّهُۥكَانَفَرِيقٌۭمِّنْعِبَادِىيَقُولُونَرَبَّنَآءَامَنَّافَٱغْفِرْلَنَاوَٱرْحَمْنَاوَأَنتَخَيْرُٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ
l-rāḥimīnakhayruwa-antawa-ir'ḥamnālanāfa-igh'firāmannārabbanāyaqūlūnaʿibādīminfarīqunkānainnahu
Indeed(there) wasa partyofMy slaves(who) saidOur LordWe believeso forgiveusand have mercy on usand You(are) best(of) those who show mercy
23:109
فَٱتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْسِخْرِيًّاحَتَّىٰٓأَنسَوْكُمْذِكْرِىوَكُنتُممِّنْهُمْتَضْحَكُونَ
taḍḥakūnamin'humwakuntumdhik'rīansawkumḥattāsikh'riyyanfa-ittakhadhtumūhum
But you took them(in) mockeryuntilthey made you forgetMy remembranceand you used (to)at themlaugh
23:110
إِنِّىجَزَيْتُهُمُٱلْيَوْمَبِمَاصَبَرُوٓا۟أَنَّهُمْهُمُٱلْفَآئِزُونَ
l-fāizūnahumuannahumṣabarūbimāl-yawmajazaytuhumuinnī
Indeed, Ihave rewarded themthis Daybecausethey were patientindeed, they[they](are) the successful ones
23:111
قَـٰلَكَمْلَبِثْتُمْفِىٱلْأَرْضِعَدَدَسِنِينَ
sinīnaʿadadal-arḍifīlabith'tumkamqāla
He will sayHow longdid you remaininthe earth(in) number(of) years
23:112
قَالُوا۟لَبِثْنَايَوْمًاأَوْبَعْضَيَوْمٍۢفَسْـَٔلِٱلْعَآدِّينَ
l-ʿādīnafasaliyawminbaʿḍaawyawmanlabith'nāqālū
They will sayWe remaineda dayora part(of) a daybut askthose who keep count
23:113
قَـٰلَإِنلَّبِثْتُمْإِلَّاقَلِيلًۭا ۖلَّوْأَنَّكُمْكُنتُمْتَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūnakuntumannakumlawqalīlanillālabith'tuminqāla
He will sayNotyou stayedbuta littleifonly you[you]knew
23:114
أَفَحَسِبْتُمْأَنَّمَاخَلَقْنَـٰكُمْعَبَثًۭاوَأَنَّكُمْإِلَيْنَالَاتُرْجَعُونَ
tur'jaʿūnalāilaynāwa-annakumʿabathankhalaqnākumannamāafaḥasib'tum
Then did you thinkthatWe created youuselesslyand that youto Usnotwill be returned
23:115
فَتَعَـٰلَىٱللَّهُٱلْمَلِكُٱلْحَقُّ ۖلَآإِلَـٰهَإِلَّاهُوَرَبُّٱلْعَرْشِٱلْكَرِيمِ
l-karīmil-ʿarshirabbuhuwaillāilāhalāl-ḥaqul-malikul-lahufataʿālā
So exalted isAllahthe Kingthe Truth(There is) nogodexceptHim(the) Lord(of) the ThroneHonorable
23:116
وَمَنيَدْعُمَعَٱللَّهِإِلَـٰهًاءَاخَرَلَابُرْهَـٰنَلَهُۥبِهِۦفَإِنَّمَاحِسَابُهُۥعِندَرَبِّهِۦٓ ۚإِنَّهُۥلَايُفْلِحُٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ
l-kāfirūnayuf'liḥulāinnahurabbihiʿindaḥisābuhufa-innamābihilahubur'hānalāākharailāhanl-lahimaʿayadʿuwaman
And whoeverinvokeswithAllahgodothernoprooffor himin itThen onlyhis account(is) withhis LordIndeed, [he]notwill succeedthe disbelievers
23:117
وَقُلرَّبِّٱغْفِرْوَٱرْحَمْوَأَنتَخَيْرُٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ
l-rāḥimīnakhayruwa-antawa-ir'ḥamigh'firrabbiwaqul
And sayMy LordForgiveand have mercyand You(are the) Best(of) those who show mercy
23:118
Basmala
سُورَةٌأَنزَلْنَـٰهَاوَفَرَضْنَـٰهَاوَأَنزَلْنَافِيهَآءَايَـٰتٍۭبَيِّنَـٰتٍۢلَّعَلَّكُمْتَذَكَّرُونَ
tadhakkarūnalaʿallakumbayyinātināyātinfīhāwa-anzalnāwafaraḍnāhāanzalnāhāsūratun
A Surah We (have) sent it downand We (have) made it obligatoryand We (have) revealedthereinVersesclearso that you maytake heed
24:1
ٱلزَّانِيَةُوَٱلزَّانِىفَٱجْلِدُوا۟كُلَّوَٰحِدٍۢمِّنْهُمَامِا۟ئَةَجَلْدَةٍۢ ۖوَلَاتَأْخُذْكُمبِهِمَارَأْفَةٌۭفِىدِينِٱللَّهِإِنكُنتُمْتُؤْمِنُونَبِٱللَّهِوَٱلْيَوْمِٱلْـَٔاخِرِ ۖوَلْيَشْهَدْعَذَابَهُمَاطَآئِفَةٌۭمِّنَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnaminaṭāifatunʿadhābahumāwalyashhadl-ākhiriwal-yawmibil-lahitu'minūnakuntuminl-lahidīnifīrafatunbihimātakhudh'kumwalājaldatinmi-atamin'humāwāḥidinkullafa-ij'lidūwal-zānīal-zāniyatu
The fornicatressand the fornicator[then] flogeachoneof them(with) hundredlash(es)And (let) notwithhold youpity for thempity for themconcerning(the) religion of Allah(the) religion of Allahifyoubelievein Allahand the Daythe LastAnd let witnesstheir punishmenta groupofthe believers
24:2
ٱلزَّانِىلَايَنكِحُإِلَّازَانِيَةًأَوْمُشْرِكَةًۭوَٱلزَّانِيَةُلَايَنكِحُهَآإِلَّازَانٍأَوْمُشْرِكٌۭ ۚوَحُرِّمَذَٰلِكَعَلَىٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnaʿalādhālikawaḥurrimamush'rikunawzāninillāyankiḥuhālāwal-zāniyatumush'rikatanawzāniyatanillāyankiḥulāal-zānī
The fornicator(will) notmarryexcepta fornicatressora polytheist womanand the fornicatress (will) notmarry herexcepta fornicatorora polytheist manAnd is forbiddenthattothe believers
24:3
وَٱلَّذِينَيَرْمُونَٱلْمُحْصَنَـٰتِثُمَّلَمْيَأْتُوا۟بِأَرْبَعَةِشُهَدَآءَفَٱجْلِدُوهُمْثَمَـٰنِينَجَلْدَةًۭوَلَاتَقْبَلُوا۟لَهُمْشَهَـٰدَةًأَبَدًۭا ۚوَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَ
l-fāsiqūnahumuwa-ulāikaabadanshahādatanlahumtaqbalūwalājaldatanthamānīnafa-ij'lidūhumshuhadāabi-arbaʿatiyatūlamthummal-muḥ'ṣanātiyarmūnawa-alladhīna
And those whoaccusethe chaste womenthennotthey bringfourwitnessesthen flog them(with) eightylashe(s)and (do) notaccepttheirtestimonyeverAnd thosethey(are) the defiantly disobedient
24:4
إِلَّاٱلَّذِينَتَابُوا۟مِنۢبَعْدِذَٰلِكَوَأَصْلَحُوا۟فَإِنَّٱللَّهَغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunghafūrunl-lahafa-innawa-aṣlaḥūdhālikabaʿdimintābūalladhīnaillā
Exceptthose whorepentafterafterthatand reformThen indeedAllah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
24:5
وَٱلَّذِينَيَرْمُونَأَزْوَٰجَهُمْوَلَمْيَكُنلَّهُمْشُهَدَآءُإِلَّآأَنفُسُهُمْفَشَهَـٰدَةُأَحَدِهِمْأَرْبَعُشَهَـٰدَٰتٍۭبِٱللَّهِ ۙإِنَّهُۥلَمِنَٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
l-ṣādiqīnalaminainnahubil-lahishahādātinarbaʿuaḥadihimfashahādatuanfusuhumillāshuhadāulahumyakunwalamazwājahumyarmūnawa-alladhīna
And those whoaccusetheir spousesand nothavefor themwitnessesexceptthemselvesthen (the) testimony(of) one of them(is) fourtestimoniesby Allahthat he(is) surely ofthe truthful
24:6
وَٱلْخَـٰمِسَةُأَنَّلَعْنَتَٱللَّهِعَلَيْهِإِنكَانَمِنَٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ
l-kādhibīnaminakānainʿalayhil-lahilaʿnataannawal-khāmisatu
And the fifththat(the) curse of Allah(the) curse of Allah(be) upon himifhe isofthe liars
24:7
وَيَدْرَؤُا۟عَنْهَاٱلْعَذَابَأَنتَشْهَدَأَرْبَعَشَهَـٰدَٰتٍۭبِٱللَّهِ ۙإِنَّهُۥلَمِنَٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ
l-kādhibīnalaminainnahubil-lahishahādātinarbaʿatashhadaanl-ʿadhābaʿanhāwayadra-u
But it would preventfrom herthe punishmentthatshe bears witnessfourtestimoniesby Allahthat he(is) surely ofthe liars
24:8
وَٱلْخَـٰمِسَةَأَنَّغَضَبَٱللَّهِعَلَيْهَآإِنكَانَمِنَٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
l-ṣādiqīnaminakānainʿalayhāl-lahighaḍabaannawal-khāmisata
And the fifththatthe wrath of Allahthe wrath of Allah(be) upon herifhe isofthe truthful
24:9
وَلَوْلَافَضْلُٱللَّهِعَلَيْكُمْوَرَحْمَتُهُۥوَأَنَّٱللَّهَتَوَّابٌحَكِيمٌ
ḥakīmuntawwābunl-lahawa-annawaraḥmatuhuʿalaykuml-lahifaḍluwalawlā
And if not(for) the Grace of Allah(for) the Grace of Allahupon youand His Mercy and thatAllah(is) Oft-Returning (to Mercy)All-Wise
24:10
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَجَآءُوبِٱلْإِفْكِعُصْبَةٌۭمِّنكُمْ ۚلَاتَحْسَبُوهُشَرًّۭالَّكُم ۖبَلْهُوَخَيْرٌۭلَّكُمْ ۚلِكُلِّٱمْرِئٍۢمِّنْهُممَّاٱكْتَسَبَمِنَٱلْإِثْمِ ۚوَٱلَّذِىتَوَلَّىٰكِبْرَهُۥمِنْهُمْلَهُۥعَذَابٌعَظِيمٌۭ
ʿaẓīmunʿadhābunlahumin'humkib'rahutawallāwa-alladhīl-ith'miminaik'tasabamāmin'humim'ri-inlikullilakumkhayrunhuwaballakumsharrantaḥsabūhulāminkumʿuṣ'batunbil-if'kijāūalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whobroughtthe lie(are) a groupamong you(Do) notthink itbadfor younayit(is) goodfor youFor everypersonamong them(is) whathe earnedofthe sinand the one whotook upon himself a greater share of ittook upon himself a greater share of itamong them for him(is) a punishmentgreat
24:11
لَّوْلَآإِذْسَمِعْتُمُوهُظَنَّٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَوَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتُبِأَنفُسِهِمْخَيْرًۭاوَقَالُوا۟هَـٰذَآإِفْكٌۭمُّبِينٌۭ
mubīnunif'kunhādhāwaqālūkhayranbi-anfusihimwal-mu'minātul-mu'minūnaẓannasamiʿ'tumūhuidhlawlā
Why notwhenyou heard itthinkthe believing menand the believing womengood of themselvesgood of themselvesand sayThis(is) a lieclear
24:12
لَّوْلَاجَآءُوعَلَيْهِبِأَرْبَعَةِشُهَدَآءَ ۚفَإِذْلَمْيَأْتُوا۟بِٱلشُّهَدَآءِفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَعِندَٱللَّهِهُمُٱلْكَـٰذِبُونَ
l-kādhibūnahumul-lahiʿindafa-ulāikabil-shuhadāiyatūlamfa-idhshuhadāabi-arbaʿatiʿalayhijāūlawlā
Why (did) notthey bringfor itfourwitnessesThen whennotthey broughtthe witnessesthen thosenear Allahnear Allahthey(are) the liars
24:13
وَلَوْلَافَضْلُٱللَّهِعَلَيْكُمْوَرَحْمَتُهُۥفِىٱلدُّنْيَاوَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِلَمَسَّكُمْفِىمَآأَفَضْتُمْفِيهِعَذَابٌعَظِيمٌ
ʿaẓīmunʿadhābunfīhiafaḍtummāfīlamassakumwal-ākhiratil-dun'yāfīwaraḥmatuhuʿalaykuml-lahifaḍluwalawlā
And if not(for the) Grace(of) Allahupon youand His Mercyinthe worldand the Hereaftersurely would have touched youinwhatyou had rushed gliblyconcerning ita punishmentgreat
24:14
إِذْتَلَقَّوْنَهُۥبِأَلْسِنَتِكُمْوَتَقُولُونَبِأَفْوَاهِكُممَّالَيْسَلَكُمبِهِۦعِلْمٌۭوَتَحْسَبُونَهُۥهَيِّنًۭاوَهُوَعِندَٱللَّهِعَظِيمٌۭ
ʿaẓīmunl-lahiʿindawahuwahayyinanwataḥsabūnahuʿil'munbihilakumlaysamābi-afwāhikumwataqūlūnabi-alsinatikumtalaqqawnahuidh
Whenyou received itwith your tonguesand you saidwith your mouthswhatnotfor youof itany knowledgeand you thought it(was) insignificantwhile it(was) near Allah(was) near Allahgreat
24:15
وَلَوْلَآإِذْسَمِعْتُمُوهُقُلْتُممَّايَكُونُلَنَآأَننَّتَكَلَّمَبِهَـٰذَاسُبْحَـٰنَكَهَـٰذَابُهْتَـٰنٌعَظِيمٌۭ
ʿaẓīmunbuh'tānunhādhāsub'ḥānakabihādhānatakallamaanlanāyakūnumāqul'tumsamiʿ'tumūhuidhwalawlā
And why notwhenyou heard ityou saidNotit isfor usthatwe speakof thisGlory be to YouThis(is) a slandergreat
24:16
يَعِظُكُمُٱللَّهُأَنتَعُودُوا۟لِمِثْلِهِۦٓأَبَدًاإِنكُنتُممُّؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnakuntuminabadanlimith'lihitaʿūdūanl-lahuyaʿiẓukumu
Allah warns youAllah warns youthatyou return(to the) like of iteverifyou arebelievers
24:17
وَيُبَيِّنُٱللَّهُلَكُمُٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ ۚوَٱللَّهُعَلِيمٌحَكِيمٌ
ḥakīmunʿalīmunwal-lahul-āyātilakumul-lahuwayubayyinu
And Allah makes clearAnd Allah makes clearto youthe VersesAnd Allah(is) All-KnowerAll-Wise
24:18
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَيُحِبُّونَأَنتَشِيعَٱلْفَـٰحِشَةُفِىٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟لَهُمْعَذَابٌأَلِيمٌۭفِىٱلدُّنْيَاوَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۚوَٱللَّهُيَعْلَمُوَأَنتُمْلَاتَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūnalāwa-antumyaʿlamuwal-lahuwal-ākhiratil-dun'yāfīalīmunʿadhābunlahumāmanūalladhīnafīl-fāḥishatutashīʿaanyuḥibbūnaalladhīnainna
Indeedthose wholikethat(should) spreadthe immoralityamongthose whobelievefor them(is) a punishmentpainfulinthe worldand the HereafterAnd Allahknowswhile you(do) notknow
24:19
وَلَوْلَافَضْلُٱللَّهِعَلَيْكُمْوَرَحْمَتُهُۥوَأَنَّٱللَّهَرَءُوفٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunraūfunl-lahawa-annawaraḥmatuhuʿalaykuml-lahifaḍluwalawlā
And if not(for the) Grace of Allah(for the) Grace of Allahupon youand His MercyAnd thatAllah(is) Full of KindnessMost Merciful
24:20
۞ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟لَاتَتَّبِعُوا۟خُطُوَٰتِٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ ۚوَمَنيَتَّبِعْخُطُوَٰتِٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِفَإِنَّهُۥيَأْمُرُبِٱلْفَحْشَآءِوَٱلْمُنكَرِ ۚوَلَوْلَافَضْلُٱللَّهِعَلَيْكُمْوَرَحْمَتُهُۥمَازَكَىٰمِنكُممِّنْأَحَدٍأَبَدًۭاوَلَـٰكِنَّٱللَّهَيُزَكِّىمَنيَشَآءُ ۗوَٱللَّهُسَمِيعٌعَلِيمٌۭ
ʿalīmunsamīʿunwal-lahuyashāumanyuzakkīl-lahawalākinnaabadanaḥadinminminkumzakāmāwaraḥmatuhuʿalaykuml-lahifaḍluwalawlāwal-munkaribil-faḥshāiyamurufa-innahul-shayṭānikhuṭuwātiyattabiʿwamanl-shayṭānikhuṭuwātitattabiʿūlāāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O you who believeO you who believeO you who believe(Do) notfollow(the) footsteps(of) the Shaitaanand whoeverfollows(the) footsteps(of) the Shaitaanthen indeed, hecommandsthe immoralityand the evilAnd if not(for the) Grace of Allah(for the) Grace of Allahupon youand His Mercynot(would) have been pureamong youanyoneanyoneeverbutAllahpurifieswhomHe willsAnd Allah(is) All-HearerAll-Knower
24:21
وَلَايَأْتَلِأُو۟لُوا۟ٱلْفَضْلِمِنكُمْوَٱلسَّعَةِأَنيُؤْتُوٓا۟أُو۟لِىٱلْقُرْبَىٰوَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينَوَٱلْمُهَـٰجِرِينَفِىسَبِيلِٱللَّهِ ۖوَلْيَعْفُوا۟وَلْيَصْفَحُوٓا۟ ۗأَلَاتُحِبُّونَأَنيَغْفِرَٱللَّهُلَكُمْ ۗوَٱللَّهُغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌ
raḥīmunghafūrunwal-lahulakuml-lahuyaghfiraantuḥibbūnaalāwalyaṣfaḥūwalyaʿfūl-lahisabīlifīwal-muhājirīnawal-masākīnal-qur'bāulīyu'tūanwal-saʿatiminkuml-faḍliulūyataliwalā
And notlet swearthose of virtuethose of virtueamong youand the amplitude of meansthatthey give(to) the near of kin(to) the near of kinand the needyand the emigrantsin(the) way(of) AllahAnd let them pardonand let them overlook(Do) notyou likethatAllah should forgiveAllah should forgiveyouAnd Allah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
24:22
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَيَرْمُونَٱلْمُحْصَنَـٰتِٱلْغَـٰفِلَـٰتِٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِلُعِنُوا۟فِىٱلدُّنْيَاوَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِوَلَهُمْعَذَابٌعَظِيمٌۭ
ʿaẓīmunʿadhābunwalahumwal-ākhiratil-dun'yāfīluʿinūl-mu'minātil-ghāfilātil-muḥ'ṣanātiyarmūnaalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whoaccusethe chaste womenthe unaware women(and) the believing womenare cursedinthe worldand the HereafterAnd for them(is) a punishmentgreat
24:23
يَوْمَتَشْهَدُعَلَيْهِمْأَلْسِنَتُهُمْوَأَيْدِيهِمْوَأَرْجُلُهُمبِمَاكَانُوا۟يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnakānūbimāwa-arjuluhumwa-aydīhimalsinatuhumʿalayhimtashhaduyawma
(On a) Daywill bear witnessagainst themtheir tonguesand their handsand their feetfor whatthey used(to) do
24:24
يَوْمَئِذٍۢيُوَفِّيهِمُٱللَّهُدِينَهُمُٱلْحَقَّوَيَعْلَمُونَأَنَّٱللَّهَهُوَٱلْحَقُّٱلْمُبِينُ
l-mubīnul-ḥaquhuwal-lahaannawayaʿlamūnal-ḥaqadīnahumul-lahuyuwaffīhimuyawma-idhin
That DayAllah will pay them in fullAllah will pay them in fulltheir recompensethe dueand they will knowthatAllahHe(is) the Truththe Manifest
24:25
ٱلْخَبِيثَـٰتُلِلْخَبِيثِينَوَٱلْخَبِيثُونَلِلْخَبِيثَـٰتِ ۖوَٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتُلِلطَّيِّبِينَوَٱلطَّيِّبُونَلِلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ ۚأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَمُبَرَّءُونَمِمَّايَقُولُونَ ۖلَهُممَّغْفِرَةٌۭوَرِزْقٌۭكَرِيمٌۭ
karīmunwariz'qunmaghfiratunlahumyaqūlūnamimmāmubarraūnaulāikalilṭṭayyibātiwal-ṭayibūnalilṭṭayyibīnawal-ṭayibātulil'khabīthātiwal-khabīthūnalil'khabīthīnaal-khabīthātu
Evil women(are) for evil menand evil men(are) for evil womenAnd good women(are) for good menand good men(are) for good womenThose(are) innocentof whatthey sayFor them(is) forgivenessand a provisionnoble
24:26
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟لَاتَدْخُلُوا۟بُيُوتًاغَيْرَبُيُوتِكُمْحَتَّىٰتَسْتَأْنِسُوا۟وَتُسَلِّمُوا۟عَلَىٰٓأَهْلِهَا ۚذَٰلِكُمْخَيْرٌۭلَّكُمْلَعَلَّكُمْتَذَكَّرُونَ
tadhakkarūnalaʿallakumlakumkhayrundhālikumahlihāʿalāwatusallimūtastanisūḥattābuyūtikumghayrabuyūtantadkhulūlāāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieve(Do) notenterhousesother (than)your housesuntilyou have asked permissionand you have greeted[on]its inhabitantsThat(is) bestfor youso that you maypay heed
24:27
فَإِنلَّمْتَجِدُوا۟فِيهَآأَحَدًۭافَلَاتَدْخُلُوهَاحَتَّىٰيُؤْذَنَلَكُمْ ۖوَإِنقِيلَلَكُمُٱرْجِعُوا۟فَٱرْجِعُوا۟ ۖهُوَأَزْكَىٰلَكُمْ ۚوَٱللَّهُبِمَاتَعْمَلُونَعَلِيمٌۭ
ʿalīmuntaʿmalūnabimāwal-lahulakumazkāhuwafa-ir'jiʿūir'jiʿūlakumuqīlawa-inlakumyu'dhanaḥattātadkhulūhāfalāaḥadanfīhātajidūlamfa-in
But ifnotyou findin itanyonethen (do) notenter ituntilpermission has been givento youAnd ifit is saidto youGo backthen go backit(is) purerfor youAnd Allahof whatyou do(is) All-Knower
24:28
لَّيْسَعَلَيْكُمْجُنَاحٌأَنتَدْخُلُوا۟بُيُوتًاغَيْرَمَسْكُونَةٍۢفِيهَامَتَـٰعٌۭلَّكُمْ ۚوَٱللَّهُيَعْلَمُمَاتُبْدُونَوَمَاتَكْتُمُونَ
taktumūnawamātub'dūnamāyaʿlamuwal-lahulakummatāʿunfīhāmaskūnatinghayrabuyūtantadkhulūanjunāḥunʿalaykumlaysa
Notupon you(is) any blamethatyou enterhousesnotinhabitedin it(is) a provisionfor youAnd Allahknowswhatyou revealand whatyou conceal
24:29
قُللِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَيَغُضُّوا۟مِنْأَبْصَـٰرِهِمْوَيَحْفَظُوا۟فُرُوجَهُمْ ۚذَٰلِكَأَزْكَىٰلَهُمْ ۗإِنَّٱللَّهَخَبِيرٌۢبِمَايَصْنَعُونَ
yaṣnaʿūnabimākhabīrunl-lahainnalahumazkādhālikafurūjahumwayaḥfaẓūabṣārihimminyaghuḍḍūlil'mu'minīnaqul
Sayto the believing menthey should lowertheir gazetheir gazeand they should guardtheir chastityThat(is) purerfor themIndeedAllah(is) All-Awareof whatthey do
24:30
وَقُللِّلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِيَغْضُضْنَمِنْأَبْصَـٰرِهِنَّوَيَحْفَظْنَفُرُوجَهُنَّوَلَايُبْدِينَزِينَتَهُنَّإِلَّامَاظَهَرَمِنْهَا ۖوَلْيَضْرِبْنَبِخُمُرِهِنَّعَلَىٰجُيُوبِهِنَّ ۖوَلَايُبْدِينَزِينَتَهُنَّإِلَّالِبُعُولَتِهِنَّأَوْءَابَآئِهِنَّأَوْءَابَآءِبُعُولَتِهِنَّأَوْأَبْنَآئِهِنَّأَوْأَبْنَآءِبُعُولَتِهِنَّأَوْإِخْوَٰنِهِنَّأَوْبَنِىٓإِخْوَٰنِهِنَّأَوْبَنِىٓأَخَوَٰتِهِنَّأَوْنِسَآئِهِنَّأَوْمَامَلَكَتْأَيْمَـٰنُهُنَّأَوِٱلتَّـٰبِعِينَغَيْرِأُو۟لِىٱلْإِرْبَةِمِنَٱلرِّجَالِأَوِٱلطِّفْلِٱلَّذِينَلَمْيَظْهَرُوا۟عَلَىٰعَوْرَٰتِٱلنِّسَآءِ ۖوَلَايَضْرِبْنَبِأَرْجُلِهِنَّلِيُعْلَمَمَايُخْفِينَمِنزِينَتِهِنَّ ۚوَتُوبُوٓا۟إِلَىٱللَّهِجَمِيعًاأَيُّهَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَلَعَلَّكُمْتُفْلِحُونَ
tuf'liḥūnalaʿallakuml-mu'minūnaayyuhajamīʿanl-lahiilāwatūbūzīnatihinnaminyukh'fīnamāliyuʿ'lamabi-arjulihinnayaḍrib'nawalāl-nisāiʿawrātiʿalāyaẓharūlamalladhīnal-ṭif'liawil-rijāliminal-ir'batiulīghayril-tābiʿīnaawiaymānuhunnamalakatmāawnisāihinnaawakhawātihinnabanīawikh'wānihinnabanīawikh'wānihinnaawbuʿūlatihinnaabnāiawabnāihinnaawbuʿūlatihinnaābāiawābāihinnaawlibuʿūlatihinnaillāzīnatahunnayub'dīnawalājuyūbihinnaʿalābikhumurihinnawalyaḍrib'namin'hāẓaharamāillāzīnatahunnayub'dīnawalāfurūjahunnawayaḥfaẓnaabṣārihinnaminyaghḍuḍ'nalil'mu'minātiwaqul
And sayto the believing women(that) they should lower[of]their gazeand they should guardtheir chastityand not(to) displaytheir adornmentexceptwhatis apparentof itAnd let them drawtheir head coversovertheir bosomsand not(to) displaytheir adornmentexceptto their husbandsortheir fathersorfathers(of) their husbandsortheir sonsorsons(of) their husbandsortheir brothersorsons(of) their brothersorsons(of) their sistersortheir womenorwhatpossesstheir right handsorthe attendantshaving no physical desirehaving no physical desirehaving no physical desireamong[the] menor[the] childrenwho(are) notawareofprivate aspects(of) the womenAnd notlet them stamptheir feetto make knownwhatthey concealoftheir adornmentAnd turntoAllahaltogetherO believersO believersSo that you maysucceed
24:31
وَأَنكِحُوا۟ٱلْأَيَـٰمَىٰمِنكُمْوَٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَمِنْعِبَادِكُمْوَإِمَآئِكُمْ ۚإِنيَكُونُوا۟فُقَرَآءَيُغْنِهِمُٱللَّهُمِنفَضْلِهِۦ ۗوَٱللَّهُوَٰسِعٌعَلِيمٌۭ
ʿalīmunwāsiʿunwal-lahufaḍlihiminl-lahuyugh'nihimufuqarāayakūnūinwa-imāikumʿibādikumminwal-ṣāliḥīnaminkuml-ayāmāwa-ankiḥū
And marrythe singleamong youand the righteousamongyour male slavesand your female slavesIfthey arepoorAllah will enrich themAllah will enrich themfromHis BountyAnd Allah(is) All-EncompassingAll-Knowing
24:32
وَلْيَسْتَعْفِفِٱلَّذِينَلَايَجِدُونَنِكَاحًاحَتَّىٰيُغْنِيَهُمُٱللَّهُمِنفَضْلِهِۦ ۗوَٱلَّذِينَيَبْتَغُونَٱلْكِتَـٰبَمِمَّامَلَكَتْأَيْمَـٰنُكُمْفَكَاتِبُوهُمْإِنْعَلِمْتُمْفِيهِمْخَيْرًۭا ۖوَءَاتُوهُممِّنمَّالِٱللَّهِٱلَّذِىٓءَاتَىٰكُمْ ۚوَلَاتُكْرِهُوا۟فَتَيَـٰتِكُمْعَلَىٱلْبِغَآءِإِنْأَرَدْنَتَحَصُّنًۭالِّتَبْتَغُوا۟عَرَضَٱلْحَيَوٰةِٱلدُّنْيَا ۚوَمَنيُكْرِههُّنَّفَإِنَّٱللَّهَمِنۢبَعْدِإِكْرَٰهِهِنَّغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunghafūrunik'rāhihinnabaʿdiminl-lahafa-innayuk'rihhunnawamanl-dun'yāl-ḥayatiʿaraḍalitabtaghūtaḥaṣṣunanaradnainl-bighāiʿalāfatayātikumtuk'rihūwalāātākumalladhīl-lahimāliminwaātūhumkhayranfīhimʿalim'tuminfakātibūhumaymānukummalakatmimmāl-kitābayabtaghūnawa-alladhīnafaḍlihiminl-lahuyugh'niyahumuḥattānikāḥanyajidūnalāalladhīnawalyastaʿfifi
And let be chastethose who(do) notfind(means for) marriageuntilAllah enriches themAllah enriches themfromHis BountyAnd those whoseekthe writingfrom (those) whompossessyour right handsthen give them (the) writingifyou knowin themany goodand give themfromthe wealth of Allahthe wealth of AllahwhichHe has given youAnd (do) notcompelyour slave girlsto[the] prostitutionifthey desirechastitythat you may seektemporary gain(of) the life(of) the worldAnd whoevercompels themthen indeedAllahafteraftertheir compulsion(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
24:33
وَلَقَدْأَنزَلْنَآإِلَيْكُمْءَايَـٰتٍۢمُّبَيِّنَـٰتٍۢوَمَثَلًۭامِّنَٱلَّذِينَخَلَوْا۟مِنقَبْلِكُمْوَمَوْعِظَةًۭلِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
lil'muttaqīnawamawʿiẓatanqablikumminkhalawalladhīnaminawamathalanmubayyinātināyātinilaykumanzalnāwalaqad
And verilyWe have sent downto youVersesclearand an exampleofthose whopassed awaybefore youbefore youand an admonitionfor those who fear (Allah)
24:34
۞ ٱللَّهُنُورُٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚمَثَلُنُورِهِۦكَمِشْكَوٰةٍۢفِيهَامِصْبَاحٌ ۖٱلْمِصْبَاحُفِىزُجَاجَةٍ ۖٱلزُّجَاجَةُكَأَنَّهَاكَوْكَبٌۭدُرِّىٌّۭيُوقَدُمِنشَجَرَةٍۢمُّبَـٰرَكَةٍۢزَيْتُونَةٍۢلَّاشَرْقِيَّةٍۢوَلَاغَرْبِيَّةٍۢيَكَادُزَيْتُهَايُضِىٓءُوَلَوْلَمْتَمْسَسْهُنَارٌۭ ۚنُّورٌعَلَىٰنُورٍۢ ۗيَهْدِىٱللَّهُلِنُورِهِۦمَنيَشَآءُ ۚوَيَضْرِبُٱللَّهُٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَلِلنَّاسِ ۗوَٱللَّهُبِكُلِّشَىْءٍعَلِيمٌۭ
ʿalīmunshayinbikulliwal-lahulilnnāsil-amthālal-lahuwayaḍribuyashāumanlinūrihil-lahuyahdīnūrinʿalānūrunnāruntamsashulamwalawyuḍīuzaytuhāyakādugharbiyyatinwalāsharqiyyatinlāzaytūnatinmubārakatinshajaratinminyūqadudurriyyunkawkabunka-annahāl-zujājatuzujājatinfīl-miṣ'bāḥumiṣ'bāḥunfīhākamish'katinnūrihimathaluwal-arḍil-samāwātinūrual-lahu
Allah(is the) Light(of) the heavensand the earth(The) example(of) His Light(is) like a nichein it(is) a lampthe lamp(is) ina glassthe glassas if it werea starbrilliant(which) is litfroma treeblessed an olivenot(of the) eastand not(of the) westwould almostits oilgloweven ifnottouched itfireLightuponLightAllah guidesAllah guidesto His LightwhomHe willsAnd Allah sets forthAnd Allah sets forththe examplesfor the mankindAnd Allahof everything(is) All-Knower
24:35
فِىبُيُوتٍأَذِنَٱللَّهُأَنتُرْفَعَوَيُذْكَرَفِيهَاٱسْمُهُۥيُسَبِّحُلَهُۥفِيهَابِٱلْغُدُوِّوَٱلْـَٔاصَالِ
wal-āṣālibil-ghuduwifīhālahuyusabbiḥuus'muhufīhāwayudh'karatur'faʿaanl-lahuadhinabuyūtinfī
Inhouses(which) Allah ordered(which) Allah orderedthatthey be raisedand be mentionedin themHis nameGlorify[to] Himin themin the morningsand (in) the evenings
24:36
رِجَالٌۭلَّاتُلْهِيهِمْتِجَـٰرَةٌۭوَلَابَيْعٌعَنذِكْرِٱللَّهِوَإِقَامِٱلصَّلَوٰةِوَإِيتَآءِٱلزَّكَوٰةِ ۙيَخَافُونَيَوْمًۭاتَتَقَلَّبُفِيهِٱلْقُلُوبُوَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ
wal-abṣārul-qulūbufīhitataqallabuyawmanyakhāfūnal-zakatiwaītāil-ṣalatiwa-iqāmil-lahidhik'riʿanbayʿunwalātijāratuntul'hīhimlārijālun
Men notdistracts themtradeand notsalefrom(the) remembrance of Allah(the) remembrance of Allahand (from) establishingthe prayerand givingzakahThey feara Daywill turn aboutthereinthe heartsand the eyes
24:37
لِيَجْزِيَهُمُٱللَّهُأَحْسَنَمَاعَمِلُوا۟وَيَزِيدَهُممِّنفَضْلِهِۦ ۗوَٱللَّهُيَرْزُقُمَنيَشَآءُبِغَيْرِحِسَابٍۢ
ḥisābinbighayriyashāumanyarzuquwal-lahufaḍlihiminwayazīdahumʿamilūmāaḥsanal-lahuliyajziyahumu
That Allah may reward themThat Allah may reward them(with the) best(of) whatthey didand increase themfromHis BountyAnd AllahprovideswhomHe willswithoutmeasure
24:38
وَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوٓا۟أَعْمَـٰلُهُمْكَسَرَابٍۭبِقِيعَةٍۢيَحْسَبُهُٱلظَّمْـَٔانُمَآءًحَتَّىٰٓإِذَاجَآءَهُۥلَمْيَجِدْهُشَيْـًۭٔاوَوَجَدَٱللَّهَعِندَهُۥفَوَفَّىٰهُحِسَابَهُۥ ۗوَٱللَّهُسَرِيعُٱلْحِسَابِ
l-ḥisābisarīʿuwal-lahuḥisābahufawaffāhuʿindahul-lahawawajadashayanyajid'hulamjāahuidhāḥattāmāanl-ẓamānuyaḥsabuhubiqīʿatinkasarābinaʿmāluhumkafarūwa-alladhīna
But those whodisbelievetheir deeds(are) like a miragein a lowlandthinks itthe thirsty one(to be) wateruntilwhenhe comes to itnothe finds it(to be) anythingbut he findsAllahbefore himHe will pay him in fullhis dueAnd Allah(is) swift(in) the account
24:39
أَوْكَظُلُمَـٰتٍۢفِىبَحْرٍۢلُّجِّىٍّۢيَغْشَىٰهُمَوْجٌۭمِّنفَوْقِهِۦمَوْجٌۭمِّنفَوْقِهِۦسَحَابٌۭ ۚظُلُمَـٰتٌۢبَعْضُهَافَوْقَبَعْضٍإِذَآأَخْرَجَيَدَهُۥلَمْيَكَدْيَرَىٰهَا ۗوَمَنلَّمْيَجْعَلِٱللَّهُلَهُۥنُورًۭافَمَالَهُۥمِننُّورٍ
nūrinminlahufamānūranlahul-lahuyajʿalilamwamanyarāhāyakadlamyadahuakhrajaidhābaʿḍinfawqabaʿḍuhāẓulumātunsaḥābunfawqihiminmawjunfawqihiminmawjunyaghshāhulujjiyyinbaḥrinfīkaẓulumātinaw
Or(is) like (the) darkness[es]ina seadeepcovers ita waveon iton ita waveon iton ita clouddarkness[es]some of itonothersWhenhe puts outhis handhardlyhardlyhe (can) see itAnd (for) whomnotAllah (has) madeAllah (has) madefor hima lightthen notfor him(is) anylight
24:40
أَلَمْتَرَأَنَّٱللَّهَيُسَبِّحُلَهُۥمَنفِىٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِوَٱلطَّيْرُصَـٰٓفَّـٰتٍۢ ۖكُلٌّۭقَدْعَلِمَصَلَاتَهُۥوَتَسْبِيحَهُۥ ۗوَٱللَّهُعَلِيمٌۢبِمَايَفْعَلُونَ
yafʿalūnabimāʿalīmunwal-lahuwatasbīḥahuṣalātahuʿalimaqadkullunṣāffātinwal-ṭayruwal-arḍil-samāwātifīmanlahuyusabbiḥul-lahaannataraalam
Do notyou seethatAllah glorifyHimwhoever(is) inthe heavensand the earthand the birds(with) wings outspreadEach oneverilyknowsits prayerand its glorificationAnd Allah(is) All-Knowerof whatthey do
24:41
وَلِلَّهِمُلْكُٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖوَإِلَىٱللَّهِٱلْمَصِيرُ
l-maṣīrul-lahiwa-ilāwal-arḍil-samāwātimul'kuwalillahi
And to Allah (belongs)(the) dominion(of) the heavensand the earthAnd toAllah(is) the destination
24:42
أَلَمْتَرَأَنَّٱللَّهَيُزْجِىسَحَابًۭاثُمَّيُؤَلِّفُبَيْنَهُۥثُمَّيَجْعَلُهُۥرُكَامًۭافَتَرَىٱلْوَدْقَيَخْرُجُمِنْخِلَـٰلِهِۦوَيُنَزِّلُمِنَٱلسَّمَآءِمِنجِبَالٍۢفِيهَامِنۢبَرَدٍۢفَيُصِيبُبِهِۦمَنيَشَآءُوَيَصْرِفُهُۥعَنمَّنيَشَآءُ ۖيَكَادُسَنَابَرْقِهِۦيَذْهَبُبِٱلْأَبْصَـٰرِ
bil-abṣāriyadhhabubarqihisanāyakāduyashāumanʿanwayaṣrifuhuyashāumanbihifayuṣībubaradinminfīhājibālinminl-samāiminawayunazzilukhilālihiminyakhrujul-wadqafatarārukāmanyajʿaluhuthummabaynahuyu-allifuthummasaḥābanyuz'jīl-lahaannataraalam
Do notyou seethatAllahdrivescloudsthenjoinsbetween themthenmakes them(into) a massthen you seethe raincome forthfromtheir midstAnd He sends downfrom(the) sky[from]mountainswithin it[of](is) hailand He strikeswith itwhomHe willsand averts itfromwhomHe willsNearly(the) flash(of) its lightingtakes awaythe sight
24:43
يُقَلِّبُٱللَّهُٱلَّيْلَوَٱلنَّهَارَ ۚإِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَعِبْرَةًۭلِّأُو۟لِىٱلْأَبْصَـٰرِ
l-abṣārili-ulīlaʿib'ratandhālikafīinnawal-nahāraal-laylal-lahuyuqallibu
Allah alternatesAllah alternatesthe nightand the dayIndeedinthatsurely is a lessonfor those who have visionfor those who have vision
24:44
وَٱللَّهُخَلَقَكُلَّدَآبَّةٍۢمِّنمَّآءٍۢ ۖفَمِنْهُممَّنيَمْشِىعَلَىٰبَطْنِهِۦوَمِنْهُممَّنيَمْشِىعَلَىٰرِجْلَيْنِوَمِنْهُممَّنيَمْشِىعَلَىٰٓأَرْبَعٍۢ ۚيَخْلُقُٱللَّهُمَايَشَآءُ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَعَلَىٰكُلِّشَىْءٍۢقَدِيرٌۭ
qadīrunshayinkulliʿalāl-lahainnayashāumāl-lahuyakhluquarbaʿinʿalāyamshīmanwamin'humrij'layniʿalāyamshīmanwamin'humbaṭnihiʿalāyamshīmanfamin'hummāinmindābbatinkullakhalaqawal-lahu
And Allahcreatedeverymoving creaturefromwaterOf them(is a kind) whowalksonits bellyand of them(is a kind) whowalksontwo legsand of them(is a kind) whowalksonfourAllah createsAllah createswhatHe willsIndeedAllahoneverything(is) All-Powerful
24:45
لَّقَدْأَنزَلْنَآءَايَـٰتٍۢمُّبَيِّنَـٰتٍۢ ۚوَٱللَّهُيَهْدِىمَنيَشَآءُإِلَىٰصِرَٰطٍۢمُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
mus'taqīminṣirāṭinilāyashāumanyahdīwal-lahumubayyinātināyātinanzalnālaqad
VerilyWe have sent downVersesclearAnd AllahguideswhomHe willstoa pathstraight
24:46
وَيَقُولُونَءَامَنَّابِٱللَّهِوَبِٱلرَّسُولِوَأَطَعْنَاثُمَّيَتَوَلَّىٰفَرِيقٌۭمِّنْهُممِّنۢبَعْدِذَٰلِكَ ۚوَمَآأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَبِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
bil-mu'minīnaulāikawamādhālikabaʿdiminmin'humfarīqunyatawallāthummawa-aṭaʿnāwabil-rasūlibil-lahiāmannāwayaqūlūna
And they sayWe believein Allahand in the Messengerand we obeyThenturns awaya partyof themafterafterthatAnd notthose(are) believers
24:47
وَإِذَادُعُوٓا۟إِلَىٱللَّهِوَرَسُولِهِۦلِيَحْكُمَبَيْنَهُمْإِذَافَرِيقٌۭمِّنْهُممُّعْرِضُونَ
muʿ'riḍūnamin'humfarīqunidhābaynahumliyaḥkumawarasūlihil-lahiilāduʿūwa-idhā
And whenthey are calledtoAllahand His Messengerto judgebetween thembeholda partyof them(is) averse
24:48
وَإِنيَكُنلَّهُمُٱلْحَقُّيَأْتُوٓا۟إِلَيْهِمُذْعِنِينَ
mudh'ʿinīnailayhiyatūl-ḥaqulahumuyakunwa-in
But ifiswith themthe truththey cometo him(as) promptly obedient
24:49
أَفِىقُلُوبِهِممَّرَضٌأَمِٱرْتَابُوٓا۟أَمْيَخَافُونَأَنيَحِيفَٱللَّهُعَلَيْهِمْوَرَسُولُهُۥ ۚبَلْأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ
l-ẓālimūnahumuulāikabalwarasūluhuʿalayhiml-lahuyaḥīfaanyakhāfūnaamir'tābūamimaraḍunqulūbihimafī
Is (there) intheir heartsa diseaseordo they doubtorthey fearthatAllah will be unjustAllah will be unjustto themand His MessengerNaythose[they](are) the wrongdoers
24:50
إِنَّمَاكَانَقَوْلَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَإِذَادُعُوٓا۟إِلَىٱللَّهِوَرَسُولِهِۦلِيَحْكُمَبَيْنَهُمْأَنيَقُولُوا۟سَمِعْنَاوَأَطَعْنَا ۚوَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ
l-muf'liḥūnahumuwa-ulāikawa-aṭaʿnāsamiʿ'nāyaqūlūanbaynahumliyaḥkumawarasūlihil-lahiilāduʿūidhāl-mu'minīnaqawlakānainnamā
Onlyis(the) statement(of) the believerswhenthey are calledtoAllahand His Messengerto judgebetween them(is) thatthey sayWe hearand we obeyAnd those[they](are) the successful
24:51
وَمَنيُطِعِٱللَّهَوَرَسُولَهُۥوَيَخْشَٱللَّهَوَيَتَّقْهِفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْفَآئِزُونَ
l-fāizūnahumufa-ulāikawayattaqhil-lahawayakhshawarasūlahul-lahayuṭiʿiwaman
And whoeverobeysAllahand His Messengerand fearsAllahand (is) conscious of Himthen those[they](are) the successful ones
24:52
۞ وَأَقْسَمُوا۟بِٱللَّهِجَهْدَأَيْمَـٰنِهِمْلَئِنْأَمَرْتَهُمْلَيَخْرُجُنَّ ۖقُللَّاتُقْسِمُوا۟ ۖطَاعَةٌۭمَّعْرُوفَةٌ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَخَبِيرٌۢبِمَاتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnabimākhabīrunl-lahainnamaʿrūfatunṭāʿatuntuq'simūlāqullayakhrujunnaamartahumla-inaymānihimjahdabil-lahiwa-aqsamū
And they swearby Allahstrongtheir oathsthat ifyou ordered themsurely they (would) go forthSay(Do) notswearObedience(is) knownIndeedAllah(is) All-Awareof whatyou do
24:53
قُلْأَطِيعُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَأَطِيعُوا۟ٱلرَّسُولَ ۖفَإِنتَوَلَّوْا۟فَإِنَّمَاعَلَيْهِمَاحُمِّلَوَعَلَيْكُممَّاحُمِّلْتُمْ ۖوَإِنتُطِيعُوهُتَهْتَدُوا۟ ۚوَمَاعَلَىٱلرَّسُولِإِلَّاٱلْبَلَـٰغُٱلْمُبِينُ
l-mubīnul-balāghuillāl-rasūliʿalāwamātahtadūtuṭīʿūhuwa-inḥummil'tummāwaʿalaykumḥummilamāʿalayhifa-innamātawallawfa-inl-rasūlawa-aṭīʿūl-lahaaṭīʿūqul
SayObeyAllahand obeythe Messengerbut ifyou turn awaythen onlyupon him(is) what(is) placed on himand on you(is) what(is) placed on youAnd ifyou obey himyou will be guidedAnd not(is) onthe Messengerexceptthe conveyance[the] clear
24:54
وَعَدَٱللَّهُٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟مِنكُمْوَعَمِلُوا۟ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِلَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْفِىٱلْأَرْضِكَمَاٱسْتَخْلَفَٱلَّذِينَمِنقَبْلِهِمْوَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّلَهُمْدِينَهُمُٱلَّذِىٱرْتَضَىٰلَهُمْوَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُممِّنۢبَعْدِخَوْفِهِمْأَمْنًۭا ۚيَعْبُدُونَنِىلَايُشْرِكُونَبِىشَيْـًۭٔا ۚوَمَنكَفَرَبَعْدَذَٰلِكَفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَ
l-fāsiqūnahumufa-ulāikadhālikabaʿdakafarawamanshayanbīyush'rikūnalāyaʿbudūnanīamnankhawfihimbaʿdiminwalayubaddilannahumlahumir'taḍāalladhīdīnahumulahumwalayumakkinannaqablihimminalladhīnais'takhlafakamāl-arḍifīlayastakhlifannahuml-ṣāliḥātiwaʿamilūminkumāmanūalladhīnal-lahuwaʿada
Allah (has) promisedAllah (has) promisedthose whobelieveamong youand dorighteous deedssurely He will grant them successioninthe earthasHe gave successionto those who(were) before them(were) before themand that He will surely establishfor themtheir religionwhichHe has approvedfor themand surely He will change for themafteraftertheir fearsecurity(for) they worship Menotthey associatewith MeanythingBut whoeverdisbelievedafterthatthen those[they](are) the defiantly disobedient
24:55
وَأَقِيمُوا۟ٱلصَّلَوٰةَوَءَاتُوا۟ٱلزَّكَوٰةَوَأَطِيعُوا۟ٱلرَّسُولَلَعَلَّكُمْتُرْحَمُونَ
tur'ḥamūnalaʿallakuml-rasūlawa-aṭīʿūl-zakatawaātūl-ṣalatawa-aqīmū
And establishthe prayerand givezakahand obeythe Messengerso that you mayreceive mercy
24:56
لَاتَحْسَبَنَّٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟مُعْجِزِينَفِىٱلْأَرْضِ ۚوَمَأْوَىٰهُمُٱلنَّارُ ۖوَلَبِئْسَٱلْمَصِيرُ
l-maṣīruwalabi'sal-nāruwamawāhumul-arḍifīmuʿ'jizīnakafarūalladhīnataḥsabannalā
(Do) notthinkthose whodisbelieve(can) escapeinthe earthAnd their abode(will be) the Fireand wretched isthe destination
24:57
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟لِيَسْتَـْٔذِنكُمُٱلَّذِينَمَلَكَتْأَيْمَـٰنُكُمْوَٱلَّذِينَلَمْيَبْلُغُوا۟ٱلْحُلُمَمِنكُمْثَلَـٰثَمَرَّٰتٍۢ ۚمِّنقَبْلِصَلَوٰةِٱلْفَجْرِوَحِينَتَضَعُونَثِيَابَكُممِّنَٱلظَّهِيرَةِوَمِنۢبَعْدِصَلَوٰةِٱلْعِشَآءِ ۚثَلَـٰثُعَوْرَٰتٍۢلَّكُمْ ۚلَيْسَعَلَيْكُمْوَلَاعَلَيْهِمْجُنَاحٌۢبَعْدَهُنَّ ۚطَوَّٰفُونَعَلَيْكُمبَعْضُكُمْعَلَىٰبَعْضٍۢ ۚكَذَٰلِكَيُبَيِّنُٱللَّهُلَكُمُٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ ۗوَٱللَّهُعَلِيمٌحَكِيمٌۭ
ḥakīmunʿalīmunwal-lahul-āyātilakumul-lahuyubayyinukadhālikabaʿḍinʿalābaʿḍukumʿalaykumṭawwāfūnabaʿdahunnajunāḥunʿalayhimwalāʿalaykumlaysalakumʿawrātinthalāthul-ʿishāiṣalatibaʿdiwaminl-ẓahīratiminathiyābakumtaḍaʿūnawaḥīnal-fajriṣalatiqabliminmarrātinthalāthaminkuml-ḥulumayablughūlamwa-alladhīnaaymānukummalakatalladhīnaliyastadhinkumuāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O you who believeO you who believeO you who believeLet ask your permissionthose whompossessyour right handsand those who(have) notreachedpubertyamong you(at) threetimesbeforebefore(the) prayer(of) dawnand whenyou put asideyour garmentsatnoonand afterand after(the) prayer(of) night(These) three(are) times of privacyfor youNoton youand noton themany blameafter that(as) moving aboutamong yousome of youamongothersThusAllah makes clearAllah makes clearfor youthe Versesand Allah(is) All-KnowerAll-Wise
24:58
وَإِذَابَلَغَٱلْأَطْفَـٰلُمِنكُمُٱلْحُلُمَفَلْيَسْتَـْٔذِنُوا۟كَمَاٱسْتَـْٔذَنَٱلَّذِينَمِنقَبْلِهِمْ ۚكَذَٰلِكَيُبَيِّنُٱللَّهُلَكُمْءَايَـٰتِهِۦ ۗوَٱللَّهُعَلِيمٌحَكِيمٌۭ
ḥakīmunʿalīmunwal-lahuāyātihilakuml-lahuyubayyinukadhālikaqablihimminalladhīnais'tadhanakamāfalyastadhinūl-ḥulumaminkumul-aṭfālubalaghawa-idhā
And whenreachthe childrenamong youthe pubertythen let them ask permissionasasked permissionthose who(were) before them(were) before themThusAllah makes clearAllah makes clearfor youHis VersesAnd Allah(is) All-KnowerAll-Wise
24:59
وَٱلْقَوَٰعِدُمِنَٱلنِّسَآءِٱلَّـٰتِىلَايَرْجُونَنِكَاحًۭافَلَيْسَعَلَيْهِنَّجُنَاحٌأَنيَضَعْنَثِيَابَهُنَّغَيْرَمُتَبَرِّجَـٰتٍۭبِزِينَةٍۢ ۖوَأَنيَسْتَعْفِفْنَخَيْرٌۭلَّهُنَّ ۗوَٱللَّهُسَمِيعٌعَلِيمٌۭ
ʿalīmunsamīʿunwal-lahulahunnakhayrunyastaʿfif'nawa-anbizīnatinmutabarrijātinghayrathiyābahunnayaḍaʿnaanjunāḥunʿalayhinnafalaysanikāḥanyarjūnalāallātīl-nisāiminawal-qawāʿidu
And postmenopausalamongthe womenwho(do) nothave desire(for) marriagethen not ison themany blamethatthey put asidetheir (outer) garmentsnotdisplayingtheir adornmentAnd thatthey modestly refrain(is) betterfor themAnd Allah(is) All-HearerAll-Knower
24:60
لَّيْسَعَلَىٱلْأَعْمَىٰحَرَجٌۭوَلَاعَلَىٱلْأَعْرَجِحَرَجٌۭوَلَاعَلَىٱلْمَرِيضِحَرَجٌۭوَلَاعَلَىٰٓأَنفُسِكُمْأَنتَأْكُلُوا۟مِنۢبُيُوتِكُمْأَوْبُيُوتِءَابَآئِكُمْأَوْبُيُوتِأُمَّهَـٰتِكُمْأَوْبُيُوتِإِخْوَٰنِكُمْأَوْبُيُوتِأَخَوَٰتِكُمْأَوْبُيُوتِأَعْمَـٰمِكُمْأَوْبُيُوتِعَمَّـٰتِكُمْأَوْبُيُوتِأَخْوَٰلِكُمْأَوْبُيُوتِخَـٰلَـٰتِكُمْأَوْمَامَلَكْتُممَّفَاتِحَهُۥٓأَوْصَدِيقِكُمْ ۚلَيْسَعَلَيْكُمْجُنَاحٌأَنتَأْكُلُوا۟جَمِيعًاأَوْأَشْتَاتًۭا ۚفَإِذَادَخَلْتُمبُيُوتًۭافَسَلِّمُوا۟عَلَىٰٓأَنفُسِكُمْتَحِيَّةًۭمِّنْعِندِٱللَّهِمُبَـٰرَكَةًۭطَيِّبَةًۭ ۚكَذَٰلِكَيُبَيِّنُٱللَّهُلَكُمُٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِلَعَلَّكُمْتَعْقِلُونَ
taʿqilūnalaʿallakuml-āyātilakumul-lahuyubayyinukadhālikaṭayyibatanmubārakatanl-lahiʿindimintaḥiyyatananfusikumʿalāfasallimūbuyūtandakhaltumfa-idhāashtātanawjamīʿantakulūanjunāḥunʿalaykumlaysaṣadīqikumawmafātiḥahumalaktummāawkhālātikumbuyūtiawakhwālikumbuyūtiawʿammātikumbuyūtiawaʿmāmikumbuyūtiawakhawātikumbuyūtiawikh'wānikumbuyūtiawummahātikumbuyūtiawābāikumbuyūtiawbuyūtikummintakulūananfusikumʿalāwalāḥarajunl-marīḍiʿalāwalāḥarajunl-aʿrajiʿalāwalāḥarajunl-aʿmāʿalālaysa
Not isonthe blindany blameand notonthe lameany blameand notonthe sickany blameand notonyourselvesthatyou eatfromyour housesorhouses(of) your fathersorhouses(of) your mothersorhouses(of) your brothersorhouses(of) your sistersorhouses(of) your paternal unclesorhouses(of) your paternal auntsorhouses(of) your maternal unclesorhouses(of) your maternal auntsorwhatyou possessits keysoryour friendNot ison youany blamethatyou eattogetherorseparatelyBut whenyou enterhousesthen greet[on]yourselvesa greetingfromfromAllahblessed(and) goodThusAllah makes clearAllah makes clearfor youthe Versesso that you mayunderstand
24:61
إِنَّمَاٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟بِٱللَّهِوَرَسُولِهِۦوَإِذَاكَانُوا۟مَعَهُۥعَلَىٰٓأَمْرٍۢجَامِعٍۢلَّمْيَذْهَبُوا۟حَتَّىٰيَسْتَـْٔذِنُوهُ ۚإِنَّٱلَّذِينَيَسْتَـْٔذِنُونَكَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَٱلَّذِينَيُؤْمِنُونَبِٱللَّهِوَرَسُولِهِۦ ۚفَإِذَاٱسْتَـْٔذَنُوكَلِبَعْضِشَأْنِهِمْفَأْذَنلِّمَنشِئْتَمِنْهُمْوَٱسْتَغْفِرْلَهُمُٱللَّهَ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunghafūrunl-lahainnal-lahalahumuwa-is'taghfirmin'humshi'talimanfadhanshanihimlibaʿḍiis'tadhanūkafa-idhāwarasūlihibil-lahiyu'minūnaalladhīnaulāikayastadhinūnakaalladhīnainnayastadhinūhuḥattāyadhhabūlamjāmiʿinamrinʿalāmaʿahukānūwa-idhāwarasūlihibil-lahiāmanūalladhīnal-mu'minūnainnamā
Onlythe believers(are) those whobelievein Allahand His Messengerand whenthey arewith himfora matter(of) collective actionnotthey gountilthey (have) asked his permissionIndeedthose whoask your permissionthose[those who]believein Allahand His MessengerSo whenthey ask your permissionfor someaffair of theirsthen give permissionto whomyou willamong themand ask forgivenessfor them(of) AllahIndeedAllah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
24:62
لَّاتَجْعَلُوا۟دُعَآءَٱلرَّسُولِبَيْنَكُمْكَدُعَآءِبَعْضِكُمبَعْضًۭا ۚقَدْيَعْلَمُٱللَّهُٱلَّذِينَيَتَسَلَّلُونَمِنكُمْلِوَاذًۭا ۚفَلْيَحْذَرِٱلَّذِينَيُخَالِفُونَعَنْأَمْرِهِۦٓأَنتُصِيبَهُمْفِتْنَةٌأَوْيُصِيبَهُمْعَذَابٌأَلِيمٌ
alīmunʿadhābunyuṣībahumawfit'natuntuṣībahumanamrihiʿanyukhālifūnaalladhīnafalyaḥdhariliwādhanminkumyatasallalūnaalladhīnal-lahuyaʿlamuqadbaʿḍanbaʿḍikumkaduʿāibaynakuml-rasūliduʿāatajʿalūlā
(Do) notmake(the) calling(of) the Messengeramong youas (the) call(of) some of you(to) othersVerilyAllah knowsAllah knowsthose whoslip awayamong youunder shelterSo let bewarethose whooppose[from]his orderslestbefalls thema trialorbefalls thema punishmentpainful
24:63
أَلَآإِنَّلِلَّهِمَافِىٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖقَدْيَعْلَمُمَآأَنتُمْعَلَيْهِوَيَوْمَيُرْجَعُونَإِلَيْهِفَيُنَبِّئُهُمبِمَاعَمِلُوا۟ ۗوَٱللَّهُبِكُلِّشَىْءٍعَلِيمٌۢ
ʿalīmunshayinbikulliwal-lahuʿamilūbimāfayunabbi-uhumilayhiyur'jaʿūnawayawmaʿalayhiantummāyaʿlamuqadwal-arḍil-samāwātifīmālillahiinnaalā
No doubtIndeedto Allah (belongs)whatever(is) inthe heavensand the earthVerilyHe knowswhatyou(are) on [it]And (the) Daythey will be returnedto Himthen He will inform themof whatthey didAnd Allahof everything(is) All-Knower
24:64
Basmala
تَبَارَكَٱلَّذِىنَزَّلَٱلْفُرْقَانَعَلَىٰعَبْدِهِۦلِيَكُونَلِلْعَـٰلَمِينَنَذِيرًا
nadhīranlil'ʿālamīnaliyakūnaʿabdihiʿalāl-fur'qānanazzalaalladhītabāraka
Blessed is HeWhosent downthe CriterionuponHis slavethat he may beto the worldsa warner
25:1
ٱلَّذِىلَهُۥمُلْكُٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِوَلَمْيَتَّخِذْوَلَدًۭاوَلَمْيَكُنلَّهُۥشَرِيكٌۭفِىٱلْمُلْكِوَخَلَقَكُلَّشَىْءٍۢفَقَدَّرَهُۥتَقْدِيرًۭا
taqdīranfaqaddarahushayinkullawakhalaqal-mul'kifīsharīkunlahuyakunwalamwaladanyattakhidhwalamwal-arḍil-samāwātimul'kulahualladhī
The One Who to Him (belongs)(the) dominion(of) the heavensand the earthand notHe has takena sonand notHe hasfor Hima partnerinthe dominionand He (has) createdeverythingand determined it(with) determination
25:2
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟مِندُونِهِۦٓءَالِهَةًۭلَّايَخْلُقُونَشَيْـًۭٔاوَهُمْيُخْلَقُونَوَلَايَمْلِكُونَلِأَنفُسِهِمْضَرًّۭاوَلَانَفْعًۭاوَلَايَمْلِكُونَمَوْتًۭاوَلَاحَيَوٰةًۭوَلَانُشُورًۭا
nushūranwalāḥayatanwalāmawtanyamlikūnawalānafʿanwalāḍarranli-anfusihimyamlikūnawalāyukh'laqūnawahumshayanyakhluqūnalāālihatandūnihiminwa-ittakhadhū
Yet they have takenbesides Himbesides Himgodsnotthey createanythingwhile theyare createdand notthey possessfor themselvesany harmand notany benefitand notthey controldeathand notlifeand notresurrection
25:3
وَقَالَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوٓا۟إِنْهَـٰذَآإِلَّآإِفْكٌٱفْتَرَىٰهُوَأَعَانَهُۥعَلَيْهِقَوْمٌءَاخَرُونَ ۖفَقَدْجَآءُوظُلْمًۭاوَزُورًۭا
wazūranẓul'manjāūfaqadākharūnaqawmunʿalayhiwa-aʿānahuif'tarāhuif'kunillāhādhāinkafarūalladhīnawaqāla
And saythose whodisbelieveNotthis(is) buta liehe invented itand helped himat itpeopleotherBut verilythey (have) producedan injusticeand a lie
25:4
وَقَالُوٓا۟أَسَـٰطِيرُٱلْأَوَّلِينَٱكْتَتَبَهَافَهِىَتُمْلَىٰعَلَيْهِبُكْرَةًۭوَأَصِيلًۭا
wa-aṣīlanbuk'ratanʿalayhitum'lāfahiyaik'tatabahāl-awalīnaasāṭīruwaqālū
And they sayTales(of) the former peoplewhich he has had writtenand theyare dictatedto himmorningand evening
25:5
قُلْأَنزَلَهُٱلَّذِىيَعْلَمُٱلسِّرَّفِىٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚإِنَّهُۥكَانَغَفُورًۭارَّحِيمًۭا
raḥīmanghafūrankānainnahuwal-arḍil-samāwātifīl-sirayaʿlamualladhīanzalahuqul
SayHas sent it downthe One Whoknowsthe secretinthe heavensand the earthIndeed, HeisOft-ForgivingMost Merciful
25:6
وَقَالُوا۟مَالِهَـٰذَاٱلرَّسُولِيَأْكُلُٱلطَّعَامَوَيَمْشِىفِىٱلْأَسْوَاقِ ۙلَوْلَآأُنزِلَإِلَيْهِمَلَكٌۭفَيَكُونَمَعَهُۥنَذِيرًا
nadhīranmaʿahufayakūnamalakunilayhiunzilalawlāl-aswāqifīwayamshīl-ṭaʿāmayakulul-rasūlihādhāmāliwaqālū
And they sayWhy doesthisMessengereat[the] foodand walkinthe marketsWhy notis sent downto himan Angelthen he bewith hima warner
25:7
أَوْيُلْقَىٰٓإِلَيْهِكَنزٌأَوْتَكُونُلَهُۥجَنَّةٌۭيَأْكُلُمِنْهَا ۚوَقَالَٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَإِنتَتَّبِعُونَإِلَّارَجُلًۭامَّسْحُورًا
masḥūranrajulanillātattabiʿūnainl-ẓālimūnawaqālamin'hāyakulujannatunlahutakūnuawkanzunilayhiyul'qāaw
Oris deliveredto hima treasureorisfor hima gardenhe may eatfrom itAnd saythe wrongdoersNotyou followbuta manbewitched
25:8
ٱنظُرْكَيْفَضَرَبُوا۟لَكَٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَفَضَلُّوا۟فَلَايَسْتَطِيعُونَسَبِيلًۭا
sabīlanyastaṭīʿūnafalāfaḍallūl-amthālalakaḍarabūkayfaunẓur
Seehowthey set forthfor youthe similitudesbut they have gone astrayso notthey are able (to find)a way
25:9
تَبَارَكَٱلَّذِىٓإِنشَآءَجَعَلَلَكَخَيْرًۭامِّنذَٰلِكَجَنَّـٰتٍۢتَجْرِىمِنتَحْتِهَاٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُوَيَجْعَللَّكَقُصُورًۢا
quṣūranlakawayajʿall-anhārutaḥtihāmintajrījannātindhālikaminkhayranlakajaʿalashāainalladhītabāraka
Blessed is HeWhoifHe willed(could have) madefor youbetterthanthat gardens flowfromunderneath itthe riversand He (could) makefor youpalaces
25:10
بَلْكَذَّبُوا۟بِٱلسَّاعَةِ ۖوَأَعْتَدْنَالِمَنكَذَّبَبِٱلسَّاعَةِسَعِيرًا
saʿīranbil-sāʿatikadhabalimanwa-aʿtadnābil-sāʿatikadhabūbal
Naythey denythe Hourand We have preparedfor (those) whodenythe Houra Blazing Fire
25:11
إِذَارَأَتْهُممِّنمَّكَانٍۭبَعِيدٍۢسَمِعُوا۟لَهَاتَغَيُّظًۭاوَزَفِيرًۭا
wazafīrantaghayyuẓanlahāsamiʿūbaʿīdinmakāninminra-athumidhā
Whenit sees themfroma placefarthey will hearitsragingand roaring
25:12
وَإِذَآأُلْقُوا۟مِنْهَامَكَانًۭاضَيِّقًۭامُّقَرَّنِينَدَعَوْا۟هُنَالِكَثُبُورًۭا
thubūranhunālikadaʿawmuqarranīnaḍayyiqanmakānanmin'hāul'qūwa-idhā
And whenthey are thrownthereof(in) a placenarrowbound in chainsthey will callthere(for) destruction
25:13
لَّاتَدْعُوا۟ٱلْيَوْمَثُبُورًۭاوَٰحِدًۭاوَٱدْعُوا۟ثُبُورًۭاكَثِيرًۭا
kathīranthubūranwa-id'ʿūwāḥidanthubūranl-yawmatadʿūlā
(Do) notcallthis day(for) destructiononebut call(for) destructionsmany
25:14
قُلْأَذَٰلِكَخَيْرٌأَمْجَنَّةُٱلْخُلْدِٱلَّتِىوُعِدَٱلْمُتَّقُونَ ۚكَانَتْلَهُمْجَزَآءًۭوَمَصِيرًۭا
wamaṣīranjazāanlahumkānatl-mutaqūnawuʿidaallatīl-khul'dijannatuamkhayrunadhālikaqul
SayIs thatbetterorGarden(of) Eternitywhichis promised(to) the righteousIt will befor thema rewardand destination
25:15
لَّهُمْفِيهَامَايَشَآءُونَخَـٰلِدِينَ ۚكَانَعَلَىٰرَبِّكَوَعْدًۭامَّسْـُٔولًۭا
masūlanwaʿdanrabbikaʿalākānakhālidīnayashāūnamāfīhālahum
For themtherein(is) whateverthey wishthey will abide foreverIt isonyour Lorda promiserequested
25:16
وَيَوْمَيَحْشُرُهُمْوَمَايَعْبُدُونَمِندُونِٱللَّهِفَيَقُولُءَأَنتُمْأَضْلَلْتُمْعِبَادِىهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِأَمْهُمْضَلُّوا۟ٱلسَّبِيلَ
l-sabīlaḍallūhumamhāulāiʿibādīaḍlaltuma-antumfayaqūlul-lahidūniminyaʿbudūnawamāyaḥshuruhumwayawma
And (the) DayHe will gather themand whatthey worshipbesides Allahbesides Allahbesides Allahand He will sayDid you[you] misleadMy slavestheseortheywent astray(from) the way
25:17
قَالُوا۟سُبْحَـٰنَكَمَاكَانَيَنۢبَغِىلَنَآأَننَّتَّخِذَمِندُونِكَمِنْأَوْلِيَآءَوَلَـٰكِنمَّتَّعْتَهُمْوَءَابَآءَهُمْحَتَّىٰنَسُوا۟ٱلذِّكْرَوَكَانُوا۟قَوْمًۢابُورًۭا
būranqawmanwakānūl-dhik'ranasūḥattāwaābāahummattaʿtahumwalākinawliyāamindūnikaminnattakhidhaanlanāyanbaghīkānamāsub'ḥānakaqālū
They sayGlory be to YouNotit was properit was properfor usthatwe takebesides Youbesides YouanyprotectorsButYou gave them comfortsand their forefathersuntilthey forgotthe Messageand becamea peopleruined
25:18
فَقَدْكَذَّبُوكُمبِمَاتَقُولُونَفَمَاتَسْتَطِيعُونَصَرْفًۭاوَلَانَصْرًۭا ۚوَمَنيَظْلِممِّنكُمْنُذِقْهُعَذَابًۭاكَبِيرًۭا
kabīranʿadhābannudhiq'huminkumyaẓlimwamannaṣranwalāṣarfantastaṭīʿūnafamātaqūlūnabimākadhabūkumfaqad
So verilythey deny youin whatyou sayso notyou are able(to) avertand not(to) helpAnd whoeverdoes wrongamong youWe will make him tastea punishmentgreat
25:19
وَمَآأَرْسَلْنَاقَبْلَكَمِنَٱلْمُرْسَلِينَإِلَّآإِنَّهُمْلَيَأْكُلُونَٱلطَّعَامَوَيَمْشُونَفِىٱلْأَسْوَاقِ ۗوَجَعَلْنَابَعْضَكُمْلِبَعْضٍۢفِتْنَةًأَتَصْبِرُونَ ۗوَكَانَرَبُّكَبَصِيرًۭا
baṣīranrabbukawakānaataṣbirūnafit'natanlibaʿḍinbaʿḍakumwajaʿalnāl-aswāqifīwayamshūnal-ṭaʿāmalayakulūnainnahumillāl-mur'salīnaminaqablakaarsalnāwamā
And notWe sentbefore youanyMessengersbutindeed, they[surely] atefoodand walkedinthe marketsAnd We have madesome of youfor othersa trialwill you have patienceAnd isyour LordAll-Seer
25:20
