Basmala
۞ وَقَالَٱلَّذِينَلَايَرْجُونَلِقَآءَنَالَوْلَآأُنزِلَعَلَيْنَاٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُأَوْنَرَىٰرَبَّنَا ۗلَقَدِٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟فِىٓأَنفُسِهِمْوَعَتَوْعُتُوًّۭاكَبِيرًۭا
kabīranʿutuwwanwaʿatawanfusihimfīis'takbarūlaqadirabbanānarāawl-malāikatuʿalaynāunzilalawlāliqāanāyarjūnalāalladhīnawaqāla
And saidthose who(do) notexpect(the) meeting with UsWhy notare sent downto usthe Angelsorwe seeour LordIndeedthey have become arrogantwithinthemselvesand (become) insolent(with) insolencegreat
25:21
يَوْمَيَرَوْنَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَلَابُشْرَىٰيَوْمَئِذٍۢلِّلْمُجْرِمِينَوَيَقُولُونَحِجْرًۭامَّحْجُورًۭا
maḥjūranḥij'ranwayaqūlūnalil'muj'rimīnayawma-idhinbush'rālāl-malāikatayarawnayawma
(The) Daythey seethe Angelsnoglad tidings(will be) that Dayfor the criminalsand they will sayA partitionforbidden
25:22
وَقَدِمْنَآإِلَىٰمَاعَمِلُوا۟مِنْعَمَلٍۢفَجَعَلْنَـٰهُهَبَآءًۭمَّنثُورًا
manthūranhabāanfajaʿalnāhuʿamalinminʿamilūmāilāwaqadim'nā
And We will proceedtowhateverthey didof(the) deed(s)and We will make them(as) dustdispersed
25:23
أَصْحَـٰبُٱلْجَنَّةِيَوْمَئِذٍخَيْرٌۭمُّسْتَقَرًّۭاوَأَحْسَنُمَقِيلًۭا
maqīlanwa-aḥsanumus'taqarrankhayrunyawma-idhinl-janatiaṣḥābu
(The) companions(of) Paradisethat Day(will be in) a betterabodeand a betterresting-place
25:24
وَيَوْمَتَشَقَّقُٱلسَّمَآءُبِٱلْغَمَـٰمِوَنُزِّلَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُتَنزِيلًا
tanzīlanl-malāikatuwanuzzilabil-ghamāmil-samāutashaqqaquwayawma
And (the) Daywill split openthe heavenswith the cloudsand (will be) sent downthe Angelsdescending
25:25
ٱلْمُلْكُيَوْمَئِذٍٱلْحَقُّلِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۚوَكَانَيَوْمًاعَلَىٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَعَسِيرًۭا
ʿasīranl-kāfirīnaʿalāyawmanwakānalilrraḥmānil-ḥaquyawma-idhinal-mul'ku
The Sovereigntythat Day(will be) trulyfor the Most GraciousAnd (it will) bea Dayforthe disbelieversdifficult
25:26
وَيَوْمَيَعَضُّٱلظَّالِمُعَلَىٰيَدَيْهِيَقُولُيَـٰلَيْتَنِىٱتَّخَذْتُمَعَٱلرَّسُولِسَبِيلًۭا
sabīlanl-rasūlimaʿaittakhadhtuyālaytanīyaqūluyadayhiʿalāl-ẓālimuyaʿaḍḍuwayawma
And (the) Daywill bitethe wrongdoer[on]his handshe will sayO I wishI had takenwiththe Messengera way
25:27
يَـٰوَيْلَتَىٰلَيْتَنِىلَمْأَتَّخِذْفُلَانًاخَلِيلًۭا
khalīlanfulānanattakhidhlamlaytanīyāwaylatā
O woe to meI wishnotI had takenthat one(as) a friend
25:28
لَّقَدْأَضَلَّنِىعَنِٱلذِّكْرِبَعْدَإِذْجَآءَنِى ۗوَكَانَٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُلِلْإِنسَـٰنِخَذُولًۭا
khadhūlanlil'insānil-shayṭānuwakānajāanīidhbaʿdal-dhik'riʿaniaḍallanīlaqad
Verilyhe led me astrayfromthe Reminderafter[when]it (had) come to meAnd isthe Shaitaanto the mana deserter
25:29
وَقَالَٱلرَّسُولُيَـٰرَبِّإِنَّقَوْمِىٱتَّخَذُوا۟هَـٰذَاٱلْقُرْءَانَمَهْجُورًۭا
mahjūranl-qur'ānahādhāittakhadhūqawmīinnayārabbil-rasūluwaqāla
And saidthe MessengerO my LordIndeedmy peopletookthisthe Quran(as) a forsaken thing
25:30
وَكَذَٰلِكَجَعَلْنَالِكُلِّنَبِىٍّعَدُوًّۭامِّنَٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ۗوَكَفَىٰبِرَبِّكَهَادِيًۭاوَنَصِيرًۭا
wanaṣīranhādiyanbirabbikawakafāl-muj'rimīnaminaʿaduwwannabiyyinlikullijaʿalnāwakadhālika
And thusWe have madefor everyProphetan enemyamongthe criminalsBut sufficient isyour Lord(as) a Guideand a Helper
25:31
وَقَالَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟لَوْلَانُزِّلَعَلَيْهِٱلْقُرْءَانُجُمْلَةًۭوَٰحِدَةًۭ ۚكَذَٰلِكَلِنُثَبِّتَبِهِۦفُؤَادَكَ ۖوَرَتَّلْنَـٰهُتَرْتِيلًۭا
tartīlanwarattalnāhufuādakabihilinuthabbitakadhālikawāḥidatanjum'latanl-qur'ānuʿalayhinuzzilalawlākafarūalladhīnawaqāla
And saidthose whodisbelieveWhy notwas revealedto himthe Quranall at onceall at onceThusthat We may strengthentherebyyour heartand We have recited it(with distinct) recitation
25:32
وَلَايَأْتُونَكَبِمَثَلٍإِلَّاجِئْنَـٰكَبِٱلْحَقِّوَأَحْسَنَتَفْسِيرًا
tafsīranwa-aḥsanabil-ḥaqiji'nākaillābimathalinyatūnakawalā
And notthey come to youwith an examplebutWe bring youthe truthand (the) bestexplanation
25:33
ٱلَّذِينَيُحْشَرُونَعَلَىٰوُجُوهِهِمْإِلَىٰجَهَنَّمَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَشَرٌّۭمَّكَانًۭاوَأَضَلُّسَبِيلًۭا
sabīlanwa-aḍallumakānansharrunulāikajahannamailāwujūhihimʿalāyuḥ'sharūnaalladhīna
Those whowill be gatheredontheir facestoHellthose(are the) worst(in) positionand most astray(from the) way
25:34
وَلَقَدْءَاتَيْنَامُوسَىٱلْكِتَـٰبَوَجَعَلْنَامَعَهُۥٓأَخَاهُهَـٰرُونَوَزِيرًۭا
wazīranhārūnaakhāhumaʿahuwajaʿalnāl-kitābamūsāātaynāwalaqad
And verilyWe gaveMusathe Scriptureand We appointedwith himhis brotherHarun(as) an assistant
25:35
فَقُلْنَاٱذْهَبَآإِلَىٱلْقَوْمِٱلَّذِينَكَذَّبُوا۟بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَافَدَمَّرْنَـٰهُمْتَدْمِيرًۭا
tadmīranfadammarnāhumbiāyātinākadhabūalladhīnal-qawmiilāidh'habāfaqul'nā
Then We saidGo both of youtothe peoplethose whohave deniedOur SignsThen We destroyed them(with) destruction
25:36
وَقَوْمَنُوحٍۢلَّمَّاكَذَّبُوا۟ٱلرُّسُلَأَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْوَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْلِلنَّاسِءَايَةًۭ ۖوَأَعْتَدْنَالِلظَّـٰلِمِينَعَذَابًاأَلِيمًۭا
alīmanʿadhābanlilẓẓālimīnawa-aʿtadnāāyatanlilnnāsiwajaʿalnāhumaghraqnāhuml-rusulakadhabūlammānūḥinwaqawma
And (the) people(of) Nuhwhenthey deniedthe MessengersWe drowned themand We made themfor mankinda signAnd We have preparedfor the wrongdoersa punishmentpainful
25:37
وَعَادًۭاوَثَمُودَا۟وَأَصْحَـٰبَٱلرَّسِّوَقُرُونًۢابَيْنَذَٰلِكَكَثِيرًۭا
kathīrandhālikabaynawaqurūnanl-rasiwa-aṣḥābawathamūdāwaʿādan
And Adand Thamudand (the) dwellers(of) Ar-rassand generationsbetweenthatmany
25:38
وَكُلًّۭاضَرَبْنَالَهُٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَ ۖوَكُلًّۭاتَبَّرْنَاتَتْبِيرًۭا
tatbīrantabbarnāwakullanl-amthālalahuḍarabnāwakullan
And eachWe have set forthfor himthe examplesand eachWe destroyed(with) destruction
25:39
وَلَقَدْأَتَوْا۟عَلَىٱلْقَرْيَةِٱلَّتِىٓأُمْطِرَتْمَطَرَٱلسَّوْءِ ۚأَفَلَمْيَكُونُوا۟يَرَوْنَهَا ۚبَلْكَانُوا۟لَايَرْجُونَنُشُورًۭا
nushūranyarjūnalākānūbalyarawnahāyakūnūafalaml-sawimaṭaraum'ṭiratallatīl-qaryatiʿalāatawwalaqad
And verilythey have comeuponthe townwhichwas showered(with) a rain(of) evilThen do notthey [were]see itNaythey arenotexpectingResurrection
25:40
وَإِذَارَأَوْكَإِنيَتَّخِذُونَكَإِلَّاهُزُوًاأَهَـٰذَاٱلَّذِىبَعَثَٱللَّهُرَسُولًا
rasūlanl-lahubaʿathaalladhīahādhāhuzuwanillāyattakhidhūnakainra-awkawa-idhā
And whenthey see younotthey take youexcept(in) mockeryIs thisthe one whomAllah has sentAllah has sent(as) a Messenger
25:41
إِنكَادَلَيُضِلُّنَاعَنْءَالِهَتِنَالَوْلَآأَنصَبَرْنَاعَلَيْهَا ۚوَسَوْفَيَعْلَمُونَحِينَيَرَوْنَٱلْعَذَابَمَنْأَضَلُّسَبِيلًا
sabīlanaḍallumanl-ʿadhābayarawnaḥīnayaʿlamūnawasawfaʿalayhāṣabarnāanlawlāālihatināʿanlayuḍillunākādain
He would have almostHe would have almost[surely] misled usfromour godsif notthatwe had been steadfastto themAnd soonwill knowwhenthey will seethe punishmentwho(is) more astray(from the) way
25:42
أَرَءَيْتَمَنِٱتَّخَذَإِلَـٰهَهُۥهَوَىٰهُأَفَأَنتَتَكُونُعَلَيْهِوَكِيلًا
wakīlanʿalayhitakūnuafa-antahawāhuilāhahuittakhadhamaniara-ayta
Have you seen(one) whotakes(as) his godhis own desireThen would youbeover hima guardian
25:43
أَمْتَحْسَبُأَنَّأَكْثَرَهُمْيَسْمَعُونَأَوْيَعْقِلُونَ ۚإِنْهُمْإِلَّاكَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ ۖبَلْهُمْأَضَلُّسَبِيلًا
sabīlanaḍalluhumbalkal-anʿāmiillāhuminyaʿqilūnaawyasmaʿūnaaktharahumannataḥsabuam
Ordo you thinkthatmost of themhearorunderstandNotthey(are) exceptlike cattleNaythey(are) more astray(from the) way
25:44
أَلَمْتَرَإِلَىٰرَبِّكَكَيْفَمَدَّٱلظِّلَّوَلَوْشَآءَلَجَعَلَهُۥسَاكِنًۭاثُمَّجَعَلْنَاٱلشَّمْسَعَلَيْهِدَلِيلًۭا
dalīlanʿalayhil-shamsajaʿalnāthummasākinanlajaʿalahushāawalawl-ẓilamaddakayfarabbikailātaraalam
Do you notsee[to]your LordhowHe extendsthe shadowAnd ifHe willedsurely He (could) have made itstationaryThenWe madethe sunfor itan indication
25:45
ثُمَّقَبَضْنَـٰهُإِلَيْنَاقَبْضًۭايَسِيرًۭا
yasīranqabḍanilaynāqabaḍnāhuthumma
ThenWe withdraw itto Usa withdrawalgradual
25:46
وَهُوَٱلَّذِىجَعَلَلَكُمُٱلَّيْلَلِبَاسًۭاوَٱلنَّوْمَسُبَاتًۭاوَجَعَلَٱلنَّهَارَنُشُورًۭا
nushūranl-nahārawajaʿalasubātanwal-nawmalibāsanal-laylalakumujaʿalaalladhīwahuwa
And He(is) the One Whomadefor youthe night(as) a coveringand the sleepa restand madethe daya resurrection
25:47
وَهُوَٱلَّذِىٓأَرْسَلَٱلرِّيَـٰحَبُشْرًۢابَيْنَيَدَىْرَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚوَأَنزَلْنَامِنَٱلسَّمَآءِمَآءًۭطَهُورًۭا
ṭahūranmāanl-samāiminawa-anzalnāraḥmatihiyadaybaynabush'ranl-riyāḥaarsalaalladhīwahuwa
And He(is) the One Whosendsthe winds(as) glad tidingsbeforebeforeHis Mercyand We send downfromthe skywaterpure
25:48
لِّنُحْـِۧىَبِهِۦبَلْدَةًۭمَّيْتًۭاوَنُسْقِيَهُۥمِمَّاخَلَقْنَآأَنْعَـٰمًۭاوَأَنَاسِىَّكَثِيرًۭا
kathīranwa-anāsiyyaanʿāmankhalaqnāmimmāwanus'qiyahumaytanbaldatanbihilinuḥ'yiya
That We may give lifethereby(to) a landdeadand We give drinkthereof(to those) We createdcattleand menmany
25:49
وَلَقَدْصَرَّفْنَـٰهُبَيْنَهُمْلِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟فَأَبَىٰٓأَكْثَرُٱلنَّاسِإِلَّاكُفُورًۭا
kufūranillāl-nāsiaktharufa-abāliyadhakkarūbaynahumṣarrafnāhuwalaqad
And verilyWe have distributed itamong themthat they may rememberbut refusemost(of) the peopleexceptdisbelief
25:50
وَلَوْشِئْنَالَبَعَثْنَافِىكُلِّقَرْيَةٍۢنَّذِيرًۭا
nadhīranqaryatinkullifīlabaʿathnāshi'nāwalaw
And ifWe willedsurely, We (would) have raisedineverytowna warner
25:51
فَلَاتُطِعِٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَوَجَـٰهِدْهُمبِهِۦجِهَادًۭاكَبِيرًۭا
kabīranjihādanbihiwajāhid'huml-kāfirīnatuṭiʿifalā
So (do) notobeythe disbelieversand strive (against) themwith ita strivinggreat
25:52
۞ وَهُوَٱلَّذِىمَرَجَٱلْبَحْرَيْنِهَـٰذَاعَذْبٌۭفُرَاتٌۭوَهَـٰذَامِلْحٌأُجَاجٌۭوَجَعَلَبَيْنَهُمَابَرْزَخًۭاوَحِجْرًۭامَّحْجُورًۭا
maḥjūranwaḥij'ranbarzakhanbaynahumāwajaʿalaujājunmil'ḥunwahādhāfurātunʿadhbunhādhāl-baḥraynimarajaalladhīwahuwa
And He(is) the One Who(has) releasedthe two seas[this] (one)palatableand sweetand [this] (one)salty(and) bitterand He has madebetween thema barrierand a partitionforbidden
25:53
وَهُوَٱلَّذِىخَلَقَمِنَٱلْمَآءِبَشَرًۭافَجَعَلَهُۥنَسَبًۭاوَصِهْرًۭا ۗوَكَانَرَبُّكَقَدِيرًۭا
qadīranrabbukawakānawaṣih'rannasabanfajaʿalahubasharanl-māiminakhalaqaalladhīwahuwa
And He(is) the One Whohas createdfromthe waterhuman beingand has made (for) himblood relationshipand marriage relationshipAnd isyour LordAll-Powerful
25:54
وَيَعْبُدُونَمِندُونِٱللَّهِمَالَايَنفَعُهُمْوَلَايَضُرُّهُمْ ۗوَكَانَٱلْكَافِرُعَلَىٰرَبِّهِۦظَهِيرًۭا
ẓahīranrabbihiʿalāl-kāfiruwakānayaḍurruhumwalāyanfaʿuhumlāmāl-lahidūniminwayaʿbudūna
But they worshipbesides Allahbesides Allahbesides Allahwhatnot profits themnot profits themand notharms themand isthe disbelieveragainsthis Lorda helper
25:55
وَمَآأَرْسَلْنَـٰكَإِلَّامُبَشِّرًۭاوَنَذِيرًۭا
wanadhīranmubashiranillāarsalnākawamā
And notWe sent youexcept(as) a bearer of glad tidingsand a warner
25:56
قُلْمَآأَسْـَٔلُكُمْعَلَيْهِمِنْأَجْرٍإِلَّامَنشَآءَأَنيَتَّخِذَإِلَىٰرَبِّهِۦسَبِيلًۭا
sabīlanrabbihiilāyattakhidhaanshāamanillāajrinminʿalayhiasalukummāqul
SayNotI ask (of) youfor itanypaymentexcept(that) whoever wills(that) whoever willstotaketohis Lorda way
25:57
وَتَوَكَّلْعَلَىٱلْحَىِّٱلَّذِىلَايَمُوتُوَسَبِّحْبِحَمْدِهِۦ ۚوَكَفَىٰبِهِۦبِذُنُوبِعِبَادِهِۦخَبِيرًا
khabīranʿibādihibidhunūbibihiwakafābiḥamdihiwasabbiḥyamūtulāalladhīl-ḥayiʿalāwatawakkal
And put your trustinthe Ever-Livingthe One Whodoes not diedoes not dieand glorifywith His PraiseAnd sufficient isHeregarding the sins(of) His slavesAll-Aware
25:58
ٱلَّذِىخَلَقَٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضَوَمَابَيْنَهُمَافِىسِتَّةِأَيَّامٍۢثُمَّٱسْتَوَىٰعَلَىٱلْعَرْشِ ۚٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُفَسْـَٔلْبِهِۦخَبِيرًۭا
khabīranbihifasall-raḥmānul-ʿarshiʿalāis'tawāthummaayyāminsittatifībaynahumāwamāwal-arḍal-samāwātikhalaqaalladhī
The One Whocreatedthe heavensand the earthand whatever(is) between theminsixperiodsthenHe established Himselfoverthe Throne the Most Graciousso askHim(as He is) All-Aware
25:59
وَإِذَاقِيلَلَهُمُٱسْجُدُوا۟لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِقَالُوا۟وَمَاٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُأَنَسْجُدُلِمَاتَأْمُرُنَاوَزَادَهُمْنُفُورًۭا ۩
nufūranwazādahumtamurunālimāanasjudul-raḥmānuwamāqālūlilrraḥmānius'judūlahumuqīlawa-idhā
And whenit is saidto themProstrateto the Most GraciousThey sayAnd what(is) the Most GraciousShould we prostrateto whatyou order usAnd it increases them(in) aversion
25:60
تَبَارَكَٱلَّذِىجَعَلَفِىٱلسَّمَآءِبُرُوجًۭاوَجَعَلَفِيهَاسِرَٰجًۭاوَقَمَرًۭامُّنِيرًۭا
munīranwaqamaransirājanfīhāwajaʿalaburūjanl-samāifījaʿalaalladhītabāraka
Blessed is HeWhohas placedinthe skiesconstellationsand has placedthereina lampand a moonshining
25:61
وَهُوَٱلَّذِىجَعَلَٱلَّيْلَوَٱلنَّهَارَخِلْفَةًۭلِّمَنْأَرَادَأَنيَذَّكَّرَأَوْأَرَادَشُكُورًۭا
shukūranarādaawyadhakkaraanarādalimankhil'fatanwal-nahāraal-laylajaʿalaalladhīwahuwa
And He(is) the One Whomadethe nightand the day(in) successionfor whoeverdesirestorememberordesiresto be thankful
25:62
وَعِبَادُٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِٱلَّذِينَيَمْشُونَعَلَىٱلْأَرْضِهَوْنًۭاوَإِذَاخَاطَبَهُمُٱلْجَـٰهِلُونَقَالُوا۟سَلَـٰمًۭا
salāmanqālūl-jāhilūnakhāṭabahumuwa-idhāhawnanl-arḍiʿalāyamshūnaalladhīnal-raḥmāniwaʿibādu
And (the) slaves(of) the Most Gracious(are) those whowalkonthe earth(in) humblenessand whenaddress themthe ignorant onesthey sayPeace
25:63
وَٱلَّذِينَيَبِيتُونَلِرَبِّهِمْسُجَّدًۭاوَقِيَـٰمًۭا
waqiyāmansujjadanlirabbihimyabītūnawa-alladhīna
And those whospend (the) nightbefore their Lordprostratingand standing
25:64
وَٱلَّذِينَيَقُولُونَرَبَّنَاٱصْرِفْعَنَّاعَذَابَجَهَنَّمَ ۖإِنَّعَذَابَهَاكَانَغَرَامًا
gharāmankānaʿadhābahāinnajahannamaʿadhābaʿannāiṣ'rifrabbanāyaqūlūnawa-alladhīna
And those whosayOur LordAvertfrom usthe punishment(of) HellIndeedits punishmentisinseparable
25:65
إِنَّهَاسَآءَتْمُسْتَقَرًّۭاوَمُقَامًۭا
wamuqāmanmus'taqarransāatinnahā
Indeed, it(is) an evilabodeand resting place
25:66
وَٱلَّذِينَإِذَآأَنفَقُوا۟لَمْيُسْرِفُوا۟وَلَمْيَقْتُرُوا۟وَكَانَبَيْنَذَٰلِكَقَوَامًۭا
qawāmandhālikabaynawakānayaqturūwalamyus'rifūlamanfaqūidhāwa-alladhīna
And those whowhenthey spend(are) not extravagant(are) not extravagantand are not stingyand are not stingybut arebetweenthat moderate
25:67
وَٱلَّذِينَلَايَدْعُونَمَعَٱللَّهِإِلَـٰهًاءَاخَرَوَلَايَقْتُلُونَٱلنَّفْسَٱلَّتِىحَرَّمَٱللَّهُإِلَّابِٱلْحَقِّوَلَايَزْنُونَ ۚوَمَنيَفْعَلْذَٰلِكَيَلْقَأَثَامًۭا
athāmanyalqadhālikayafʿalwamanyaznūnawalābil-ḥaqiillāl-lahuḥarramaallatīl-nafsayaqtulūnawalāākharailāhanl-lahimaʿayadʿūnalāwa-alladhīna
And those who(do) notinvokewithAllahgodanotherand (do) not[they] killthe soulwhichAllah has forbiddenAllah has forbiddenexceptby rightand (do) notcommit unlawful sexual intercourseAnd whoeverdoesthatwill meeta penalty
25:68
يُضَـٰعَفْلَهُٱلْعَذَابُيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِوَيَخْلُدْفِيهِۦمُهَانًا
muhānanfīhiwayakhludl-qiyāmatiyawmal-ʿadhābulahuyuḍāʿaf
Will be doubledfor himthe punishment(on the) Day(of) Resurrectionand he will abide foreverthereinhumiliated
25:69
إِلَّامَنتَابَوَءَامَنَوَعَمِلَعَمَلًۭاصَـٰلِحًۭافَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَيُبَدِّلُٱللَّهُسَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْحَسَنَـٰتٍۢ ۗوَكَانَٱللَّهُغَفُورًۭارَّحِيمًۭا
raḥīmanghafūranl-lahuwakānaḥasanātinsayyiātihiml-lahuyubaddilufa-ulāikaṣāliḥanʿamalanwaʿamilawaāmanatābamanillā
Except(he) whorepentsand believesand doesrighteous deedsrighteous deedsthen (for) thoseAllah will replaceAllah will replacetheir evil deeds(with) good onesAnd isAllahOft-ForgivingMost Merciful
25:70
وَمَنتَابَوَعَمِلَصَـٰلِحًۭافَإِنَّهُۥيَتُوبُإِلَىٱللَّهِمَتَابًۭا
matābanl-lahiilāyatūbufa-innahuṣāliḥanwaʿamilatābawaman
And whoeverrepentsand doesrighteous (deeds)then indeed, heturnstoAllah(with) repentance
25:71
وَٱلَّذِينَلَايَشْهَدُونَٱلزُّورَوَإِذَامَرُّوا۟بِٱللَّغْوِمَرُّوا۟كِرَامًۭا
kirāmanmarrūbil-laghwimarrūwa-idhāl-zūrayashhadūnalāwa-alladhīna
And those who(do) notbear witness(to) the falsehoodand whenthey passby futilitythey pass(as) dignified ones
25:72
وَٱلَّذِينَإِذَاذُكِّرُوا۟بِـَٔايَـٰتِرَبِّهِمْلَمْيَخِرُّوا۟عَلَيْهَاصُمًّۭاوَعُمْيَانًۭا
waʿum'yānanṣummanʿalayhāyakhirrūlamrabbihimbiāyātidhukkirūidhāwa-alladhīna
And those whowhenthey are remindedof (the) Verses(of) their Lord(do) notfallupon themdeafand blind
25:73
وَٱلَّذِينَيَقُولُونَرَبَّنَاهَبْلَنَامِنْأَزْوَٰجِنَاوَذُرِّيَّـٰتِنَاقُرَّةَأَعْيُنٍۢوَٱجْعَلْنَالِلْمُتَّقِينَإِمَامًا
imāmanlil'muttaqīnawa-ij'ʿalnāaʿyuninqurratawadhurriyyātināazwājināminlanāhabrabbanāyaqūlūnawa-alladhīna
And those whosayOur LordGrantto usfromour spousesand our offspringcomfort(to) our eyesand make usfor the righteousa leader
25:74
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَيُجْزَوْنَٱلْغُرْفَةَبِمَاصَبَرُوا۟وَيُلَقَّوْنَفِيهَاتَحِيَّةًۭوَسَلَـٰمًا
wasalāmantaḥiyyatanfīhāwayulaqqawnaṣabarūbimāl-ghur'fatayuj'zawnaulāika
Thosewill be awardedthe Chamberbecausethey were patientand they will be mettherein(with) greetingsand peace
25:75
خَـٰلِدِينَفِيهَا ۚحَسُنَتْمُسْتَقَرًّۭاوَمُقَامًۭا
wamuqāmanmus'taqarranḥasunatfīhākhālidīna
Will abide foreverin itGood(is) the settlementand a resting place
25:76
قُلْمَايَعْبَؤُا۟بِكُمْرَبِّىلَوْلَادُعَآؤُكُمْ ۖفَقَدْكَذَّبْتُمْفَسَوْفَيَكُونُلِزَامًۢا
lizāmanyakūnufasawfakadhabtumfaqadduʿāukumlawlārabbībikumyaʿba-umāqul
SayNotwill carefor youmy Lordif notyour prayer (is to Him)But verilyyou have deniedso soonwill bethe inevitable (punishment)

26:1
تِلْكَءَايَـٰتُٱلْكِتَـٰبِٱلْمُبِينِ
l-mubīnil-kitābiāyātutil'ka
These(are the) Verses(of) the Bookclear
26:2
لَعَلَّكَبَـٰخِعٌۭنَّفْسَكَأَلَّايَكُونُوا۟مُؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnayakūnūallānafsakabākhiʿunlaʿallaka
Perhaps you(would) killyourselfthat notthey becomebelievers
26:3
إِننَّشَأْنُنَزِّلْعَلَيْهِممِّنَٱلسَّمَآءِءَايَةًۭفَظَلَّتْأَعْنَـٰقُهُمْلَهَاخَـٰضِعِينَ
khāḍiʿīnalahāaʿnāquhumfaẓallatāyatanl-samāiminaʿalayhimnunazzilnashain
IfWe willWe can send downto themfromthe skya Signso would bendtheir necksto it(in) humility
26:4
وَمَايَأْتِيهِممِّنذِكْرٍۢمِّنَٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِمُحْدَثٍإِلَّاكَانُوا۟عَنْهُمُعْرِضِينَ
muʿ'riḍīnaʿanhukānūillāmuḥ'dathinl-raḥmāniminadhik'rinminyatīhimwamā
And (does) notcome to themanyreminderfromthe Most Graciousnewbuttheyfrom itturn away
26:5
فَقَدْكَذَّبُوا۟فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْأَنۢبَـٰٓؤُا۟مَاكَانُوا۟بِهِۦيَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
yastahziūnabihikānūmāanbāufasayatīhimkadhabūfaqad
So verilythey have deniedthen will come to themthe news(of) whatthey usedat it(to) mock
26:6
أَوَلَمْيَرَوْا۟إِلَىٱلْأَرْضِكَمْأَنۢبَتْنَافِيهَامِنكُلِّزَوْجٍۢكَرِيمٍ
karīminzawjinkulliminfīhāanbatnākaml-arḍiilāyarawawalam
Do notthey seeatthe earth how manyWe producedin itofeverykindnoble
26:7
إِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭ ۖوَمَاكَانَأَكْثَرُهُممُّؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnaaktharuhumkānawamālaāyatandhālikafīinna
Indeedinthatsurely (is) a signbut notaremost of thembelievers
26:8
وَإِنَّرَبَّكَلَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلرَّحِيمُ
l-raḥīmul-ʿazīzulahuwarabbakawa-inna
And indeedyour Lordsurely, He(is) the All-Mightythe Most Merciful
26:9
وَإِذْنَادَىٰرَبُّكَمُوسَىٰٓأَنِٱئْتِٱلْقَوْمَٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnal-qawmai'tianimūsārabbukanādāwa-idh
And whenyour Lord calledyour Lord calledMusa[that]Go(to) the people(who are) wrongdoers
26:10
قَوْمَفِرْعَوْنَ ۚأَلَايَتَّقُونَ
yattaqūnaalāfir'ʿawnaqawma
(The) people(of) FiraunWill notthey fear
26:11
قَالَرَبِّإِنِّىٓأَخَافُأَنيُكَذِّبُونِ
yukadhibūnianakhāfuinnīrabbiqāla
He saidMy LordIndeed, I[I] fearthatthey will deny me
26:12
وَيَضِيقُصَدْرِىوَلَايَنطَلِقُلِسَانِىفَأَرْسِلْإِلَىٰهَـٰرُونَ
hārūnailāfa-arsillisānīyanṭaliquwalāṣadrīwayaḍīqu
And straitensmy breastand notexpresses wellmy tongueso sendforHarun
26:13
وَلَهُمْعَلَىَّذَنۢبٌۭفَأَخَافُأَنيَقْتُلُونِ
yaqtulūnianfa-akhāfudhanbunʿalayyawalahum
And they haveagainst mea crimeso I fearthatthey will kill me
26:14
قَالَكَلَّا ۖفَٱذْهَبَابِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ ۖإِنَّامَعَكُممُّسْتَمِعُونَ
mus'tamiʿūnamaʿakuminnābiāyātināfa-idh'habākallāqāla
He saidNaygo both of youwith Our SignsIndeed, We(are) with youlistening
26:15
فَأْتِيَافِرْعَوْنَفَقُولَآإِنَّارَسُولُرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnarabbirasūluinnāfaqūlāfir'ʿawnafatiyā
So go both of you(to) Firaunand say'Indeed, we(are the) Messenger(of the) Lord(of) the worlds
26:16
أَنْأَرْسِلْمَعَنَابَنِىٓإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'rāīlabanīmaʿanāarsilan
[That]sendwith us(the) Children of Israel.'(the) Children of Israel.'
26:17
قَالَأَلَمْنُرَبِّكَفِينَاوَلِيدًۭاوَلَبِثْتَفِينَامِنْعُمُرِكَسِنِينَ
sinīnaʿumurikaminfīnāwalabith'tawalīdanfīnānurabbikaalamqāla
He saidDid notwe bring you upamong us(as) a childand you remainedamong usofyour lifeyears
26:18
وَفَعَلْتَفَعْلَتَكَٱلَّتِىفَعَلْتَوَأَنتَمِنَٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīnaminawa-antafaʿaltaallatīfaʿlatakawafaʿalta
And you didyour deedwhichyou didand you(were) ofthe ungrateful
26:19
قَالَفَعَلْتُهَآإِذًۭاوَأَنَا۠مِنَٱلضَّآلِّينَ
l-ḍālīnaminawa-anāidhanfaʿaltuhāqāla
He saidI did itwhenI(was) ofthose who are astray
26:20
فَفَرَرْتُمِنكُمْلَمَّاخِفْتُكُمْفَوَهَبَلِىرَبِّىحُكْمًۭاوَجَعَلَنِىمِنَٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
l-mur'salīnaminawajaʿalanīḥuk'manrabbīlīfawahabakhif'tukumlammāminkumfafarartu
So I fledfrom youwhenI feared youBut grantedto memy Lordjudgmentand made meofthe Messengers
26:21
وَتِلْكَنِعْمَةٌۭتَمُنُّهَاعَلَىَّأَنْعَبَّدتَّبَنِىٓإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'rāīlabanīʿabbadttaanʿalayyatamunnuhāniʿ'matunwatil'ka
And this(is the) favorwith which you reproach[on] methatyou have enslaved(the) Children of Israel(the) Children of Israel
26:22
قَالَفِرْعَوْنُوَمَارَبُّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnarabbuwamāfir'ʿawnuqāla
Firaun saidFiraun saidAnd what(is the) Lord(of) the worlds
26:23
قَالَرَبُّٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِوَمَابَيْنَهُمَآ ۖإِنكُنتُممُّوقِنِينَ
mūqinīnakuntuminbaynahumāwamāwal-arḍil-samāwātirabbuqāla
He saidLord(of) the heavensand the earthand whatever(is) between themifyou (should) beconvinced
26:24
قَالَلِمَنْحَوْلَهُۥٓأَلَاتَسْتَمِعُونَ
tastamiʿūnaalāḥawlahulimanqāla
He saidto thosearound himDo notyou hear
26:25
قَالَرَبُّكُمْوَرَبُّءَابَآئِكُمُٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnaābāikumuwarabburabbukumqāla
He saidYour Lordand (the) Lord(of) your forefathers(of) your forefathers
26:26
قَالَإِنَّرَسُولَكُمُٱلَّذِىٓأُرْسِلَإِلَيْكُمْلَمَجْنُونٌۭ
lamajnūnunilaykumur'silaalladhīrasūlakumuinnaqāla
He saidIndeedyour Messengerwhohas been sentto you(is) surely mad
26:27
قَالَرَبُّٱلْمَشْرِقِوَٱلْمَغْرِبِوَمَابَيْنَهُمَآ ۖإِنكُنتُمْتَعْقِلُونَ
taʿqilūnakuntuminbaynahumāwamāwal-maghribil-mashriqirabbuqāla
He saidLord(of) the eastand the westand whatever(is) between themifyou were(to) reason
26:28
قَالَلَئِنِٱتَّخَذْتَإِلَـٰهًاغَيْرِىلَأَجْعَلَنَّكَمِنَٱلْمَسْجُونِينَ
l-masjūnīnaminala-ajʿalannakaghayrīilāhanittakhadhtala-iniqāla
He saidIfyou takea godother than meI will surely make youamongthose imprisoned
26:29
قَالَأَوَلَوْجِئْتُكَبِشَىْءٍۢمُّبِينٍۢ
mubīninbishayinji'tukaawalawqāla
He saidEven ifI bring yousomethingmanifest
26:30
قَالَفَأْتِبِهِۦٓإِنكُنتَمِنَٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
l-ṣādiqīnaminakuntainbihifatiqāla
He saidThen bringitifyou areofthe truthful
26:31
فَأَلْقَىٰعَصَاهُفَإِذَاهِىَثُعْبَانٌۭمُّبِينٌۭ
mubīnunthuʿ'bānunhiyafa-idhāʿaṣāhufa-alqā
So he threwhis staffand beholdIt(was) a serpentmanifest
26:32
وَنَزَعَيَدَهُۥفَإِذَاهِىَبَيْضَآءُلِلنَّـٰظِرِينَ
lilnnāẓirīnabayḍāuhiyafa-idhāyadahuwanazaʿa
And he drew outhis handand beholdIt(was) whitefor the observers
26:33
قَالَلِلْمَلَإِحَوْلَهُۥٓإِنَّهَـٰذَالَسَـٰحِرٌعَلِيمٌۭ
ʿalīmunlasāḥirunhādhāinnaḥawlahulil'mala-iqāla
He saidto the chiefsaround himIndeedthis(is) surely a magicianlearned
26:34
يُرِيدُأَنيُخْرِجَكُممِّنْأَرْضِكُمبِسِحْرِهِۦفَمَاذَاتَأْمُرُونَ
tamurūnafamādhābisiḥ'rihiarḍikumminyukh'rijakumanyurīdu
He wantstodrive you outfromyour landby his magicso what(do) you advise
26:35
قَالُوٓا۟أَرْجِهْوَأَخَاهُوَٱبْعَثْفِىٱلْمَدَآئِنِحَـٰشِرِينَ
ḥāshirīnal-madāinifīwa-ib'ʿathwa-akhāhuarjihqālū
They saidPostpone himand his brotherand sendinthe citiesgatherers
26:36
يَأْتُوكَبِكُلِّسَحَّارٍعَلِيمٍۢ
ʿalīminsaḥḥārinbikulliyatūka
They (will) bring to youeverymagicianlearned
26:37
فَجُمِعَٱلسَّحَرَةُلِمِيقَـٰتِيَوْمٍۢمَّعْلُومٍۢ
maʿlūminyawminlimīqātil-saḥaratufajumiʿa
So were assembledthe magiciansfor (the) appointment(on) a daywell-known
26:38
وَقِيلَلِلنَّاسِهَلْأَنتُممُّجْتَمِعُونَ
muj'tamiʿūnaantumhallilnnāsiwaqīla
And it was saidto the peopleWillyouassemble
26:39
لَعَلَّنَانَتَّبِعُٱلسَّحَرَةَإِنكَانُوا۟هُمُٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ
l-ghālibīnahumukānūinl-saḥaratanattabiʿulaʿallanā
That we mayfollowthe magiciansifthey arethey arethe victorious
26:40
فَلَمَّاجَآءَٱلسَّحَرَةُقَالُوا۟لِفِرْعَوْنَأَئِنَّلَنَالَأَجْرًاإِنكُنَّانَحْنُٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ
l-ghālibīnanaḥnukunnāinla-ajranlanāa-innalifir'ʿawnaqālūl-saḥaratujāafalammā
So whencamethe magiciansthey saidto FiraunIs therefor usa rewardifwe arewe arethe victorious
26:41
قَالَنَعَمْوَإِنَّكُمْإِذًۭالَّمِنَٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ
l-muqarabīnalaminaidhanwa-innakumnaʿamqāla
He saidYesand indeed youthensurely (will be) ofthe ones who are brought near
26:42
قَالَلَهُممُّوسَىٰٓأَلْقُوا۟مَآأَنتُممُّلْقُونَ
mul'qūnaantummāalqūmūsālahumqāla
Saidto themMusaThrowwhatyou(are) going to throw
26:43
فَأَلْقَوْا۟حِبَالَهُمْوَعِصِيَّهُمْوَقَالُوا۟بِعِزَّةِفِرْعَوْنَإِنَّالَنَحْنُٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ
l-ghālibūnalanaḥnuinnāfir'ʿawnabiʿizzatiwaqālūwaʿiṣiyyahumḥibālahumfa-alqaw
So they threwtheir ropesand their staffsand saidBy the might(of) Firaunindeed, wesurely, we(are) the victorious
26:44
فَأَلْقَىٰمُوسَىٰعَصَاهُفَإِذَاهِىَتَلْقَفُمَايَأْفِكُونَ
yafikūnamātalqafuhiyafa-idhāʿaṣāhumūsāfa-alqā
Then threwMusahis staffand beholdItswallowedwhatthey falsified
26:45
فَأُلْقِىَٱلسَّحَرَةُسَـٰجِدِينَ
sājidīnal-saḥaratufa-ul'qiya
Then fell downthe magiciansprostrate
26:46
قَالُوٓا۟ءَامَنَّابِرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnabirabbiāmannāqālū
They saidWe believein (the) Lord(of) the worlds
26:47
رَبِّمُوسَىٰوَهَـٰرُونَ
wahārūnamūsārabbi
Lord(of) Musaand Harun
26:48
قَالَءَامَنتُمْلَهُۥقَبْلَأَنْءَاذَنَلَكُمْ ۖإِنَّهُۥلَكَبِيرُكُمُٱلَّذِىعَلَّمَكُمُٱلسِّحْرَفَلَسَوْفَتَعْلَمُونَ ۚلَأُقَطِّعَنَّأَيْدِيَكُمْوَأَرْجُلَكُممِّنْخِلَـٰفٍۢوَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْأَجْمَعِينَ
ajmaʿīnawala-uṣallibannakumkhilāfinminwa-arjulakumaydiyakumla-uqaṭṭiʿannataʿlamūnafalasawfal-siḥ'raʿallamakumualladhīlakabīrukumuinnahulakumādhanaanqablalahuāmantumqāla
He saidYou believedin himbefore[that]I gave permissionto youIndeed, he(is) surely your chiefwhohas taught youthe magicso surely soonyou will knowI will surely cut offyour handsand your feetofopposite sidesand I will surely crucify youall
26:49
قَالُوا۟لَاضَيْرَ ۖإِنَّآإِلَىٰرَبِّنَامُنقَلِبُونَ
munqalibūnarabbināilāinnāḍayralāqālū
They saidNoharmIndeed, wetoour Lord(will) return
26:50
إِنَّانَطْمَعُأَنيَغْفِرَلَنَارَبُّنَاخَطَـٰيَـٰنَآأَنكُنَّآأَوَّلَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnaawwalakunnāankhaṭāyānārabbunālanāyaghfiraannaṭmaʿuinnā
Indeed, wehopethatwill forgiveusour Lordour sinsbecausewe are(the) first(of) the believers
26:51
۞ وَأَوْحَيْنَآإِلَىٰمُوسَىٰٓأَنْأَسْرِبِعِبَادِىٓإِنَّكُممُّتَّبَعُونَ
muttabaʿūnainnakumbiʿibādīasrianmūsāilāwa-awḥaynā
And We inspiredtoMusa[that]Travel by nightwith My slavesindeed, you(will be) followed
26:52
فَأَرْسَلَفِرْعَوْنُفِىٱلْمَدَآئِنِحَـٰشِرِينَ
ḥāshirīnal-madāinifīfir'ʿawnufa-arsala
Then sentFirauninthe citiesgatherers
26:53
إِنَّهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِلَشِرْذِمَةٌۭقَلِيلُونَ
qalīlūnalashir'dhimatunhāulāiinna
Indeedthese(are) certainly a bandsmall
26:54
وَإِنَّهُمْلَنَالَغَآئِظُونَ
laghāiẓūnalanāwa-innahum
And indeed, they[to] us(are) surely enraging
26:55
وَإِنَّالَجَمِيعٌحَـٰذِرُونَ
ḥādhirūnalajamīʿunwa-innā
And indeed, we(are) surely a multitudeforewarned
26:56
فَأَخْرَجْنَـٰهُممِّنجَنَّـٰتٍۢوَعُيُونٍۢ
waʿuyūninjannātinminfa-akhrajnāhum
So We expelled themfromgardensand springs
26:57
وَكُنُوزٍۢوَمَقَامٍۢكَرِيمٍۢ
karīminwamaqāminwakunūzin
And treasuresand a placehonorable
26:58
كَذَٰلِكَوَأَوْرَثْنَـٰهَابَنِىٓإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'rāīlabanīwa-awrathnāhākadhālika
ThusAnd We caused to inherit them(the) Children of Israel(the) Children of Israel
26:59
فَأَتْبَعُوهُممُّشْرِقِينَ
mush'riqīnafa-atbaʿūhum
So they followed them(at) sunrise
26:60
فَلَمَّاتَرَٰٓءَاٱلْجَمْعَانِقَالَأَصْحَـٰبُمُوسَىٰٓإِنَّالَمُدْرَكُونَ
lamud'rakūnainnāmūsāaṣḥābuqālal-jamʿānitarāāfalammā
Then whensaw each otherthe two hostssaid(the) companions(of) MusaIndeed, we(are) surely to be overtaken
26:61
قَالَكَلَّآ ۖإِنَّمَعِىَرَبِّىسَيَهْدِينِ
sayahdīnirabbīmaʿiyainnakallāqāla
He saidNayindeedwith me(is) my LordHe will guide me
26:62
فَأَوْحَيْنَآإِلَىٰمُوسَىٰٓأَنِٱضْرِببِّعَصَاكَٱلْبَحْرَ ۖفَٱنفَلَقَفَكَانَكُلُّفِرْقٍۢكَٱلطَّوْدِٱلْعَظِيمِ
l-ʿaẓīmikal-ṭawdifir'qinkullufakānafa-infalaqal-baḥrabiʿaṣākaiḍ'ribanimūsāilāfa-awḥaynā
Then We inspiredtoMusa[that]Strikewith your staffthe seaSo it partedand becameeachpartlike the mountain[the] great
26:63
وَأَزْلَفْنَاثَمَّٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
l-ākharīnathammawa-azlafnā
And We brought neartherethe others
26:64
وَأَنجَيْنَامُوسَىٰوَمَنمَّعَهُۥٓأَجْمَعِينَ
ajmaʿīnamaʿahuwamanmūsāwa-anjaynā
And We savedMusaand who(were) with himall
26:65
ثُمَّأَغْرَقْنَاٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
l-ākharīnaaghraqnāthumma
ThenWe drownedthe others
26:66
إِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭ ۖوَمَاكَانَأَكْثَرُهُممُّؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnaaktharuhumkānawamālaāyatandhālikafīinna
Indeedinthatsurely (is) a Signbut notaremost of thembelievers
26:67
وَإِنَّرَبَّكَلَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلرَّحِيمُ
l-raḥīmul-ʿazīzulahuwarabbakawa-inna
And indeedyour Lordsurely He(is) the All-Mightythe Most Merciful
26:68
وَٱتْلُعَلَيْهِمْنَبَأَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ
ib'rāhīmanaba-aʿalayhimwa-ut'lu
And reciteto them(the) news(of) Ibrahim
26:69
إِذْقَالَلِأَبِيهِوَقَوْمِهِۦمَاتَعْبُدُونَ
taʿbudūnamāwaqawmihili-abīhiqālaidh
Whenhe saidto his fatherand his peopleWhat(do) you worship
26:70
قَالُوا۟نَعْبُدُأَصْنَامًۭافَنَظَلُّلَهَاعَـٰكِفِينَ
ʿākifīnalahāfanaẓalluaṣnāmannaʿbuduqālū
They saidWe worshipidolsso we will remainto themdevoted
26:71
قَالَهَلْيَسْمَعُونَكُمْإِذْتَدْعُونَ
tadʿūnaidhyasmaʿūnakumhalqāla
He saidDothey hear youwhenyou call
26:72
أَوْيَنفَعُونَكُمْأَوْيَضُرُّونَ
yaḍurrūnaawyanfaʿūnakumaw
Or(do) they benefit youorthey harm (you)
26:73
قَالُوا۟بَلْوَجَدْنَآءَابَآءَنَاكَذَٰلِكَيَفْعَلُونَ
yafʿalūnakadhālikaābāanāwajadnābalqālū
They saidNaybut we foundour forefatherslike that doing
26:74
قَالَأَفَرَءَيْتُممَّاكُنتُمْتَعْبُدُونَ
taʿbudūnakuntummāafara-aytumqāla
He saidDo you seewhatyou have beenworshipping
26:75
أَنتُمْوَءَابَآؤُكُمُٱلْأَقْدَمُونَ
l-aqdamūnawaābāukumuantum
Youand your forefathersand your forefathers
26:76
فَإِنَّهُمْعَدُوٌّۭلِّىٓإِلَّارَبَّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnarabbaillālīʿaduwwunfa-innahum
Indeed, they(are) enemiesto meexcept(the) Lord(of) the worlds
26:77
ٱلَّذِىخَلَقَنِىفَهُوَيَهْدِينِ
yahdīnifahuwakhalaqanīalladhī
The One Whocreated meand Heguides me
26:78
وَٱلَّذِىهُوَيُطْعِمُنِىوَيَسْقِينِ
wayasqīniyuṭ'ʿimunīhuwawa-alladhī
And the One Who[He]gives me foodand gives me drink
26:79
وَإِذَامَرِضْتُفَهُوَيَشْفِينِ
yashfīnifahuwamariḍ'tuwa-idhā
And whenI am illthen Hecures me
26:80
وَٱلَّذِىيُمِيتُنِىثُمَّيُحْيِينِ
yuḥ'yīnithummayumītunīwa-alladhī
And the One Whowill cause me to diethenhe will give me life
26:81
وَٱلَّذِىٓأَطْمَعُأَنيَغْفِرَلِىخَطِيٓـَٔتِىيَوْمَٱلدِّينِ
l-dīniyawmakhaṭīatīlīyaghfiraanaṭmaʿuwa-alladhī
And the One Who I hopethatHe will forgivefor memy faults(on the) Day(of) the Judgment
26:82
رَبِّهَبْلِىحُكْمًۭاوَأَلْحِقْنِىبِٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
bil-ṣāliḥīnawa-alḥiq'nīḥuk'manlīhabrabbi
My LordGrant[for] mewisdomand join mewith the righteous
26:83
وَٱجْعَللِّىلِسَانَصِدْقٍۢفِىٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
l-ākhirīnafīṣid'qinlisānalīwa-ij'ʿal
And grant[for] mea mention(of) honoramongthe later (generations)
26:84
وَٱجْعَلْنِىمِنوَرَثَةِجَنَّةِٱلنَّعِيمِ
l-naʿīmijannatiwarathatiminwa-ij'ʿalnī
And make meof(the) inheritors(of) Garden(s)(of) Delight
26:85
وَٱغْفِرْلِأَبِىٓإِنَّهُۥكَانَمِنَٱلضَّآلِّينَ
l-ḍālīnaminakānainnahuli-abīwa-igh'fir
And forgivemy fatherIndeed, heisofthose astray
26:86
وَلَاتُخْزِنِىيَوْمَيُبْعَثُونَ
yub'ʿathūnayawmatukh'zinīwalā
And (do) notdisgrace me(on the) Daythey are resurrected
26:87
يَوْمَلَايَنفَعُمَالٌۭوَلَابَنُونَ
banūnawalāmālunyanfaʿulāyawma
(The) Daynotwill benefitwealthand notsons
26:88
إِلَّامَنْأَتَىٱللَّهَبِقَلْبٍۢسَلِيمٍۢ
salīminbiqalbinl-lahaatāmanillā
Except(he) whocomes(to) Allahwith a heartsound
26:89
وَأُزْلِفَتِٱلْجَنَّةُلِلْمُتَّقِينَ
lil'muttaqīnal-janatuwa-uz'lifati
And (will be) brought nearthe Paradisefor the righteous
26:90
وَبُرِّزَتِٱلْجَحِيمُلِلْغَاوِينَ
lil'ghāwīnal-jaḥīmuwaburrizati
And (will be) made manifestthe Hellfireto the deviators
26:91
وَقِيلَلَهُمْأَيْنَمَاكُنتُمْتَعْبُدُونَ
taʿbudūnakuntummāaynalahumwaqīla
And it will be saidto themWhere(is) thatyou used(to) worship
26:92
مِندُونِٱللَّهِهَلْيَنصُرُونَكُمْأَوْيَنتَصِرُونَ
yantaṣirūnaawyanṣurūnakumhall-lahidūnimin
Besides AllahBesides AllahBesides AllahCanthey help youorhelp themselves
26:93
فَكُبْكِبُوا۟فِيهَاهُمْوَٱلْغَاوُۥنَ
wal-ghāwūnahumfīhāfakub'kibū
Then they will be overturnedinto ittheyand the deviators
26:94
وَجُنُودُإِبْلِيسَأَجْمَعُونَ
ajmaʿūnaib'līsawajunūdu
And (the) hosts(of) Iblisall together
26:95
قَالُوا۟وَهُمْفِيهَايَخْتَصِمُونَ
yakhtaṣimūnafīhāwahumqālū
They (will) saywhile theyin it(are) disputing
26:96
تَٱللَّهِإِنكُنَّالَفِىضَلَـٰلٍۢمُّبِينٍ
mubīninḍalālinlafīkunnāintal-lahi
By Allahindeedwe weresurely inerrorclear
26:97
إِذْنُسَوِّيكُمبِرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnabirabbinusawwīkumidh
Whenwe equated youwith (the) Lord(of) the worlds
26:98
وَمَآأَضَلَّنَآإِلَّاٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
l-muj'rimūnaillāaḍallanāwamā
And notmisguided usexceptthe criminals
26:99
فَمَالَنَامِنشَـٰفِعِينَ
shāfiʿīnaminlanāfamā
So (now) notwe haveanyintercessors
26:100
وَلَاصَدِيقٍحَمِيمٍۢ
ḥamīminṣadīqinwalā
And nota friendclose
26:101
فَلَوْأَنَّلَنَاكَرَّةًۭفَنَكُونَمِنَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnaminafanakūnakarratanlanāannafalaw
Then ifthatwe hada returnthen we could beofthe believers
26:102
إِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭ ۖوَمَاكَانَأَكْثَرُهُممُّؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnaaktharuhumkānawamālaāyatandhālikafīinna
Indeedinthatsurely is a Signbut notaremost of thembelievers
26:103
وَإِنَّرَبَّكَلَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلرَّحِيمُ
l-raḥīmul-ʿazīzulahuwarabbakawa-inna
And indeedyour Lordsurely He(is) the All-Mightythe Most Merciful
26:104
كَذَّبَتْقَوْمُنُوحٍٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
l-mur'salīnanūḥinqawmukadhabat
Denied(the) people(of) Nuhthe Messengers
26:105
إِذْقَالَلَهُمْأَخُوهُمْنُوحٌأَلَاتَتَّقُونَ
tattaqūnaalānūḥunakhūhumlahumqālaidh
Whensaidto themtheir brotherNuhWill notyou fear (Allah)
26:106
إِنِّىلَكُمْرَسُولٌأَمِينٌۭ
amīnunrasūlunlakuminnī
Indeed, I amto youa Messengertrustworthy
26:107
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَأَطِيعُونِ
wa-aṭīʿūnil-lahafa-ittaqū
So fearAllahand obey me
26:108
وَمَآأَسْـَٔلُكُمْعَلَيْهِمِنْأَجْرٍ ۖإِنْأَجْرِىَإِلَّاعَلَىٰرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnarabbiʿalāillāajriyainajrinminʿalayhiasalukumwamā
And notI ask (of) youfor itanypaymentNot(is) my paymentbutfrom(the) Lord(of) the worlds
26:109
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَأَطِيعُونِ
wa-aṭīʿūnil-lahafa-ittaqū
So fearAllahand obey me
26:110
۞ قَالُوٓا۟أَنُؤْمِنُلَكَوَٱتَّبَعَكَٱلْأَرْذَلُونَ
l-ardhalūnawa-ittabaʿakalakaanu'minuqālū
They saidShould we believein youwhile followed youthe lowest
26:111
قَالَوَمَاعِلْمِىبِمَاكَانُوا۟يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnakānūbimāʿil'mīwamāqāla
He saidAnd what(do) I knowof whatthey used(to) do
26:112
إِنْحِسَابُهُمْإِلَّاعَلَىٰرَبِّى ۖلَوْتَشْعُرُونَ
tashʿurūnalawrabbīʿalāillāḥisābuhumin
Verilytheir account(is) butuponmy Lordifyou perceive
26:113
وَمَآأَنَا۠بِطَارِدِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnabiṭāridianāwamā
And notI amthe one to drive awaythe believers
26:114
إِنْأَنَا۠إِلَّانَذِيرٌۭمُّبِينٌۭ
mubīnunnadhīrunillāanāin
NotI ambuta warnerclear
26:115
قَالُوا۟لَئِنلَّمْتَنتَهِيَـٰنُوحُلَتَكُونَنَّمِنَٱلْمَرْجُومِينَ
l-marjūmīnaminalatakūnannayānūḥutantahilamla-inqālū
They saidIfnotyou desistO NuhSurely you will beofthose who are stoned
26:116
قَالَرَبِّإِنَّقَوْمِىكَذَّبُونِ
kadhabūniqawmīinnarabbiqāla
He saidMy LordIndeedmy peoplehave denied me
26:117
فَٱفْتَحْبَيْنِىوَبَيْنَهُمْفَتْحًۭاوَنَجِّنِىوَمَنمَّعِىَمِنَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnaminamaʿiyawamanwanajjinīfatḥanwabaynahumbaynīfa-if'taḥ
So judgebetween meand between them(with decisive) judgmentand save meand who(are) with meofthe believers
26:118
فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُوَمَنمَّعَهُۥفِىٱلْفُلْكِٱلْمَشْحُونِ
l-mashḥūnil-ful'kifīmaʿahuwamanfa-anjaynāhu
So We saved himand who(were) with himinthe shipladen
26:119
ثُمَّأَغْرَقْنَابَعْدُٱلْبَاقِينَ
l-bāqīnabaʿduaghraqnāthumma
ThenWe drownedthereafterthe remaining ones
26:120
إِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭ ۖوَمَاكَانَأَكْثَرُهُممُّؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnaaktharuhumkānawamālaāyatandhālikafīinna
Indeedinthatsurely, (is) a signbut notaremost of thembelievers
26:121
وَإِنَّرَبَّكَلَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلرَّحِيمُ
l-raḥīmul-ʿazīzulahuwarabbakawa-inna
And indeedyour Lordsurely, He(is) the All-Mightythe Most Merciful
26:122
كَذَّبَتْعَادٌٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
l-mur'salīnaʿādunkadhabat
Denied(the people) of Aadthe Messengers
26:123
إِذْقَالَلَهُمْأَخُوهُمْهُودٌأَلَاتَتَّقُونَ
tattaqūnaalāhūdunakhūhumlahumqālaidh
Whensaidto themtheir brotherHudWill notyou fear (Allah)
26:124
إِنِّىلَكُمْرَسُولٌأَمِينٌۭ
amīnunrasūlunlakuminnī
Indeed, I amto youa Messengertrustworthy
26:125
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَأَطِيعُونِ
wa-aṭīʿūnil-lahafa-ittaqū
So fearAllahand obey me
26:126
وَمَآأَسْـَٔلُكُمْعَلَيْهِمِنْأَجْرٍ ۖإِنْأَجْرِىَإِلَّاعَلَىٰرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnarabbiʿalāillāajriyainajrinminʿalayhiasalukumwamā
And notI ask youfor itanypaymentNot(is) my paymentexceptfrom(the) Lord(of) the worlds
26:127
أَتَبْنُونَبِكُلِّرِيعٍءَايَةًۭتَعْبَثُونَ
taʿbathūnaāyatanrīʿinbikulliatabnūna
Do you constructon everyelevationa signamusing yourselves
26:128
وَتَتَّخِذُونَمَصَانِعَلَعَلَّكُمْتَخْلُدُونَ
takhludūnalaʿallakummaṣāniʿawatattakhidhūna
And take for yourselvesstrongholdsthat you maylive forever
26:129
وَإِذَابَطَشْتُمبَطَشْتُمْجَبَّارِينَ
jabbārīnabaṭashtumbaṭashtumwa-idhā
And whenyou seizeyou seize(as) tyrants
26:130
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَأَطِيعُونِ
wa-aṭīʿūnil-lahafa-ittaqū
So fearAllahand obey me
26:131
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱلَّذِىٓأَمَدَّكُمبِمَاتَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūnabimāamaddakumalladhīwa-ittaqū
And fearthe One Whohas aided youwith whatyou know
26:132
أَمَدَّكُمبِأَنْعَـٰمٍۢوَبَنِينَ
wabanīnabi-anʿāminamaddakum
He has aided youwith cattleand children
26:133
وَجَنَّـٰتٍۢوَعُيُونٍ
waʿuyūninwajannātin
And gardensand springs
26:134
إِنِّىٓأَخَافُعَلَيْكُمْعَذَابَيَوْمٍعَظِيمٍۢ
ʿaẓīminyawminʿadhābaʿalaykumakhāfuinnī
Indeed, I[I] fearfor you(the) punishment(of) a DayGreat
26:135
قَالُوا۟سَوَآءٌعَلَيْنَآأَوَعَظْتَأَمْلَمْتَكُنمِّنَٱلْوَٰعِظِينَ
l-wāʿiẓīnaminatakunlamamawaʿaẓtaʿalaynāsawāonqālū
They said(It is) sameto uswhether you adviseornotyou areofthe advisors
26:136
إِنْهَـٰذَآإِلَّاخُلُقُٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnakhuluquillāhādhāin
Not(is) thisbut(the) custom(of) the former (people)
26:137
وَمَانَحْنُبِمُعَذَّبِينَ
bimuʿadhabīnanaḥnuwamā
And notwe(are) the ones to be punished
26:138
فَكَذَّبُوهُفَأَهْلَكْنَـٰهُمْ ۗإِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭ ۖوَمَاكَانَأَكْثَرُهُممُّؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnaaktharuhumkānawamālaāyatandhālikafīinnafa-ahlaknāhumfakadhabūhu
So they denied himthen We destroyed themIndeedinthatsurely, is a signbut notaremost of thembelievers
26:139
وَإِنَّرَبَّكَلَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلرَّحِيمُ
l-raḥīmul-ʿazīzulahuwarabbakawa-inna
And indeedyour Lordsurely, He(is) the All-Mightythe Most Merciful
26:140
كَذَّبَتْثَمُودُٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
l-mur'salīnathamūdukadhabat
DeniedThamudthe Messengers
26:141
إِذْقَالَلَهُمْأَخُوهُمْصَـٰلِحٌأَلَاتَتَّقُونَ
tattaqūnaalāṣāliḥunakhūhumlahumqālaidh
Whensaidto themtheir brotherSalihWill notyou fear (Allah)
26:142
إِنِّىلَكُمْرَسُولٌأَمِينٌۭ
amīnunrasūlunlakuminnī
Indeed, I amto youa Messengertrustworthy
26:143
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَأَطِيعُونِ
wa-aṭīʿūnil-lahafa-ittaqū
So fearAllahand obey me
26:144
وَمَآأَسْـَٔلُكُمْعَلَيْهِمِنْأَجْرٍ ۖإِنْأَجْرِىَإِلَّاعَلَىٰرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnarabbiʿalāillāajriyainajrinminʿalayhiasalukumwamā
And notI ask youfor itanypaymentNot(is) my paymentexceptfrom(the) Lord(of) the worlds
26:145
أَتُتْرَكُونَفِىمَاهَـٰهُنَآءَامِنِينَ
āminīnahāhunāmāfīatut'rakūna
Will you be leftinwhat(is) heresecure
26:146
فِىجَنَّـٰتٍۢوَعُيُونٍۢ
waʿuyūninjannātinfī
Ingardensand springs
26:147
وَزُرُوعٍۢوَنَخْلٍۢطَلْعُهَاهَضِيمٌۭ
haḍīmunṭalʿuhāwanakhlinwazurūʿin
And cornfieldsand date-palmsits spadixsoft
26:148
وَتَنْحِتُونَمِنَٱلْجِبَالِبُيُوتًۭافَـٰرِهِينَ
fārihīnabuyūtanl-jibāliminawatanḥitūna
And you carveofthe mountainshousesskillfully
26:149
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَأَطِيعُونِ
wa-aṭīʿūnil-lahafa-ittaqū
So fearAllahand obey me
26:150
وَلَاتُطِيعُوٓا۟أَمْرَٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ
l-mus'rifīnaamratuṭīʿūwalā
And (do) notobey(the) command(of) the transgressors
26:151
ٱلَّذِينَيُفْسِدُونَفِىٱلْأَرْضِوَلَايُصْلِحُونَ
yuṣ'liḥūnawalāl-arḍifīyuf'sidūnaalladhīna
Those whospread corruptioninthe earthand (do) notreform
26:152
قَالُوٓا۟إِنَّمَآأَنتَمِنَٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ
l-musaḥarīnaminaantainnamāqālū
They saidOnlyyou(are) ofthose bewitched
26:153
مَآأَنتَإِلَّابَشَرٌۭمِّثْلُنَافَأْتِبِـَٔايَةٍإِنكُنتَمِنَٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
l-ṣādiqīnaminakuntainbiāyatinfatimith'lunābasharunillāantamā
Notyou(are) excepta manlike usso bringa signifyou(are) ofthe truthful
26:154
قَالَهَـٰذِهِۦنَاقَةٌۭلَّهَاشِرْبٌۭوَلَكُمْشِرْبُيَوْمٍۢمَّعْلُومٍۢ
maʿlūminyawminshir'buwalakumshir'bunlahānāqatunhādhihiqāla
He saidThis(is) a she-camelFor her(is a share of) drinkand for you(is a share of) drink(on) a dayknown
26:155
وَلَاتَمَسُّوهَابِسُوٓءٍۢفَيَأْخُذَكُمْعَذَابُيَوْمٍعَظِيمٍۢ
ʿaẓīminyawminʿadhābufayakhudhakumbisūintamassūhāwalā
And (do) nottouch herwith harmlest seize you(the) punishment(of) a DayGreat
26:156
فَعَقَرُوهَافَأَصْبَحُوا۟نَـٰدِمِينَ
nādimīnafa-aṣbaḥūfaʿaqarūhā
But they hamstrung herthen they becameregretful
26:157
فَأَخَذَهُمُٱلْعَذَابُ ۗإِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭ ۖوَمَاكَانَأَكْثَرُهُممُّؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnaaktharuhumkānawamālaāyatandhālikafīinnal-ʿadhābufa-akhadhahumu
So seized themthe punishmentIndeedinthatsurely is a signbut notaremost of thembelievers
26:158
وَإِنَّرَبَّكَلَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلرَّحِيمُ
l-raḥīmul-ʿazīzulahuwarabbakawa-inna
And indeedyour Lordsurely He(is) the All-Mightythe Most Merciful
26:159
كَذَّبَتْقَوْمُلُوطٍٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
l-mur'salīnalūṭinqawmukadhabat
Denied(the) people(of) Lutthe Messengers
26:160
إِذْقَالَلَهُمْأَخُوهُمْلُوطٌأَلَاتَتَّقُونَ
tattaqūnaalālūṭunakhūhumlahumqālaidh
Whensaidto themtheir brotherLutWill notyou fear (Allah)
26:161
إِنِّىلَكُمْرَسُولٌأَمِينٌۭ
amīnunrasūlunlakuminnī
Indeed, I amto youa Messengertrustworthy
26:162
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَأَطِيعُونِ
wa-aṭīʿūnil-lahafa-ittaqū
So fearAllahand obey me
26:163
وَمَآأَسْـَٔلُكُمْعَلَيْهِمِنْأَجْرٍ ۖإِنْأَجْرِىَإِلَّاعَلَىٰرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnarabbiʿalāillāajriyainajrinminʿalayhiasalukumwamā
And notI ask youfor itanypaymentNot(is) my paymentexceptfrom(the) Lord(of) the worlds
26:164
أَتَأْتُونَٱلذُّكْرَانَمِنَٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnaminal-dhuk'rānaatatūna
Do you approachthe malesamongthe worlds
26:165
وَتَذَرُونَمَاخَلَقَلَكُمْرَبُّكُممِّنْأَزْوَٰجِكُم ۚبَلْأَنتُمْقَوْمٌعَادُونَ
ʿādūnaqawmunantumbalazwājikumminrabbukumlakumkhalaqamāwatadharūna
And you leavewhatcreatedfor youyour Lordofyour matesNayyou(are) a peopletransgressing
26:166
قَالُوا۟لَئِنلَّمْتَنتَهِيَـٰلُوطُلَتَكُونَنَّمِنَٱلْمُخْرَجِينَ
l-mukh'rajīnaminalatakūnannayālūṭutantahilamla-inqālū
They saidIfnotyou desistO LutSurely, you will beofthe ones driven out
26:167
قَالَإِنِّىلِعَمَلِكُممِّنَٱلْقَالِينَ
l-qālīnaminaliʿamalikuminnīqāla
He saidIndeed, I am(of) your deedofthose who detest
26:168
رَبِّنَجِّنِىوَأَهْلِىمِمَّايَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnamimmāwa-ahlīnajjinīrabbi
My LordSave meand my familyfrom whatthey do
26:169
فَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُوَأَهْلَهُۥٓأَجْمَعِينَ
ajmaʿīnawa-ahlahufanajjaynāhu
So We saved himand his familyall
26:170
إِلَّاعَجُوزًۭافِىٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ
l-ghābirīnafīʿajūzanillā
Exceptan old woman(was) amongthose who remained behind
26:171
ثُمَّدَمَّرْنَاٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
l-ākharīnadammarnāthumma
ThenWe destroyedthe others
26:172
وَأَمْطَرْنَاعَلَيْهِممَّطَرًۭا ۖفَسَآءَمَطَرُٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
l-mundharīnamaṭarufasāamaṭaranʿalayhimwa-amṭarnā
And We rainedupon thema rainand evil was(was) the rain(on) those who were warned
26:173
إِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭ ۖوَمَاكَانَأَكْثَرُهُممُّؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnaaktharuhumkānawamālaāyatandhālikafīinna
Indeedinthatsurely is a signbut notaremost of thembelievers
26:174
وَإِنَّرَبَّكَلَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلرَّحِيمُ
l-raḥīmul-ʿazīzulahuwarabbakawa-inna
And indeedyour Lordsurely, He(is) the All-Mightythe Most Merciful
26:175
كَذَّبَأَصْحَـٰبُلْـَٔيْكَةِٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
l-mur'salīnaal'aykatiaṣḥābukadhaba
Denied(the) companions(of the) Woodthe Messengers
26:176
إِذْقَالَلَهُمْشُعَيْبٌأَلَاتَتَّقُونَ
tattaqūnaalāshuʿaybunlahumqālaidh
Whensaidto themShuaibWill notyou fear (Allah)
26:177
إِنِّىلَكُمْرَسُولٌأَمِينٌۭ
amīnunrasūlunlakuminnī
Indeed, I amto youa Messengertrustworthy
26:178
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَأَطِيعُونِ
wa-aṭīʿūnil-lahafa-ittaqū
So fearAllahand obey me
26:179
وَمَآأَسْـَٔلُكُمْعَلَيْهِمِنْأَجْرٍ ۖإِنْأَجْرِىَإِلَّاعَلَىٰرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnarabbiʿalāillāajriyainajrinminʿalayhiasalukumwamā
And notI ask (of) youfor itanypaymentNot(is) my paymentexceptfrom(the) Lord(of) the worlds
26:180
۞ أَوْفُوا۟ٱلْكَيْلَوَلَاتَكُونُوا۟مِنَٱلْمُخْسِرِينَ
l-mukh'sirīnaminatakūnūwalāl-kaylaawfū
Give fullmeasureand (do) notbeofthose who cause loss
26:181
وَزِنُوا۟بِٱلْقِسْطَاسِٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ
l-mus'taqīmibil-qis'ṭāsiwazinū
And weighwith a balance[the] even
26:182
وَلَاتَبْخَسُوا۟ٱلنَّاسَأَشْيَآءَهُمْوَلَاتَعْثَوْا۟فِىٱلْأَرْضِمُفْسِدِينَ
muf'sidīnal-arḍifītaʿthawwalāashyāahuml-nāsatabkhasūwalā
And (do) notdeprivepeople(of) their thingsand (do) notcommit evilinthe earthspreading corruption
26:183
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱلَّذِىخَلَقَكُمْوَٱلْجِبِلَّةَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnawal-jibilatakhalaqakumalladhīwa-ittaqū
And fearthe One Whocreated youand the generationsthe former
26:184
قَالُوٓا۟إِنَّمَآأَنتَمِنَٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ
l-musaḥarīnaminaantainnamāqālū
They saidOnlyyou(are) ofthose bewitched
26:185
وَمَآأَنتَإِلَّابَشَرٌۭمِّثْلُنَاوَإِننَّظُنُّكَلَمِنَٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ
l-kādhibīnalaminanaẓunnukawa-inmith'lunābasharunillāantawamā
And notyou(are) excepta manlike usand indeedwe think yousurely (are) ofthe liars
26:186
فَأَسْقِطْعَلَيْنَاكِسَفًۭامِّنَٱلسَّمَآءِإِنكُنتَمِنَٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
l-ṣādiqīnaminakuntainl-samāiminakisafanʿalaynāfa-asqiṭ
Then cause to fallupon usfragmentsofthe skyifyou areofthe truthful
26:187
قَالَرَبِّىٓأَعْلَمُبِمَاتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnabimāaʿlamurabbīqāla
He saidMy Lordknows bestof whatyou do
26:188
فَكَذَّبُوهُفَأَخَذَهُمْعَذَابُيَوْمِٱلظُّلَّةِ ۚإِنَّهُۥكَانَعَذَابَيَوْمٍعَظِيمٍ
ʿaẓīminyawminʿadhābakānainnahul-ẓulatiyawmiʿadhābufa-akhadhahumfakadhabūhu
But they denied himso seized them(the) punishment(of the) day(of) the shadowIndeed, itwas(the) punishment(of) a DayGreat
26:189
إِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭ ۖوَمَاكَانَأَكْثَرُهُممُّؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnaaktharuhumkānawamālaāyatandhālikafīinna
Indeedinthatsurely, is a signbut notaremost of thembelievers
26:190
وَإِنَّرَبَّكَلَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلرَّحِيمُ
l-raḥīmul-ʿazīzulahuwarabbakawa-inna
And indeedyour Lordsurely, He(is) the All-Mightythe Most Merciful
26:191
وَإِنَّهُۥلَتَنزِيلُرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnarabbilatanzīluwa-innahu
And indeed, itsurely, is a Revelation(of the) Lord(of) the worlds
26:192
نَزَلَبِهِٱلرُّوحُٱلْأَمِينُ
l-amīnul-rūḥubihinazala
Has brought it downHas brought it downthe Spirit[the] Trustworthy
26:193
عَلَىٰقَلْبِكَلِتَكُونَمِنَٱلْمُنذِرِينَ
l-mundhirīnaminalitakūnaqalbikaʿalā
Uponyour heartthat you may beofthe warners
26:194
بِلِسَانٍعَرَبِىٍّۢمُّبِينٍۢ
mubīninʿarabiyyinbilisānin
In languageArabicclear
26:195
وَإِنَّهُۥلَفِىزُبُرِٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnazuburilafīwa-innahu
And indeed, itsurely, (is) in(the) Scriptures(of) the former (people)
26:196
أَوَلَمْيَكُنلَّهُمْءَايَةًأَنيَعْلَمَهُۥعُلَمَـٰٓؤُا۟بَنِىٓإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'rāīlabanīʿulamāuyaʿlamahuanāyatanlahumyakunawalam
Is it notIs it notto thema signthatknow it(the) scholars(of the) Children(of) Israel
26:197
وَلَوْنَزَّلْنَـٰهُعَلَىٰبَعْضِٱلْأَعْجَمِينَ
l-aʿjamīnabaʿḍiʿalānazzalnāhuwalaw
And ifWe (had) revealed ittoany(of) the non-Arabs
26:198
فَقَرَأَهُۥعَلَيْهِممَّاكَانُوا۟بِهِۦمُؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnabihikānūmāʿalayhimfaqara-ahu
And he (had) recited itto themnotthey wouldin it(be) believers
26:199
كَذَٰلِكَسَلَكْنَـٰهُفِىقُلُوبِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
l-muj'rimīnaqulūbifīsalaknāhukadhālika
ThusWe have inserted itinto(the) hearts(of) the criminals
26:200
لَايُؤْمِنُونَبِهِۦحَتَّىٰيَرَوُا۟ٱلْعَذَابَٱلْأَلِيمَ
l-alīmal-ʿadhābayarawūḥattābihiyu'minūnalā
Notthey will believein ituntilthey seethe punishment[the] painful
26:201
فَيَأْتِيَهُمبَغْتَةًۭوَهُمْلَايَشْعُرُونَ
yashʿurūnalāwahumbaghtatanfayatiyahum
And it will come to themsuddenlywhile they(do) notperceive
26:202
فَيَقُولُوا۟هَلْنَحْنُمُنظَرُونَ
munẓarūnanaḥnuhalfayaqūlū
Then they will sayArewe(to be) reprieved
26:203
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَايَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
yastaʿjilūnaafabiʿadhābinā
So is it for Our punishmentthey wish to hasten
26:204
أَفَرَءَيْتَإِنمَّتَّعْنَـٰهُمْسِنِينَ
sinīnamattaʿnāhuminafara-ayta
Then have you seenifWe let them enjoy(for) years
26:205
ثُمَّجَآءَهُممَّاكَانُوا۟يُوعَدُونَ
yūʿadūnakānūmājāahumthumma
Thencomes to themwhatthey werepromised
26:206
مَآأَغْنَىٰعَنْهُممَّاكَانُوا۟يُمَتَّعُونَ
yumattaʿūnakānūmāʿanhumaghnāmā
Not(will) availthemwhatenjoyment they were givenenjoyment they were given
26:207
وَمَآأَهْلَكْنَامِنقَرْيَةٍإِلَّالَهَامُنذِرُونَ
mundhirūnalahāillāqaryatinminahlaknāwamā
And notWe destroyedanytownbutit hadwarners
26:208
ذِكْرَىٰوَمَاكُنَّاظَـٰلِمِينَ
ẓālimīnakunnāwamādhik'rā
(To) remindand notWe areunjust
26:209
وَمَاتَنَزَّلَتْبِهِٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ
l-shayāṭīnubihitanazzalatwamā
And nothave brought it downhave brought it downthe devils
26:210
وَمَايَنۢبَغِىلَهُمْوَمَايَسْتَطِيعُونَ
yastaṭīʿūnawamālahumyanbaghīwamā
And not(it) suits[for] themand notthey are able
26:211
إِنَّهُمْعَنِٱلسَّمْعِلَمَعْزُولُونَ
lamaʿzūlūnal-samʿiʿaniinnahum
Indeed, theyfromthe hearing(are) surely banished
26:212
فَلَاتَدْعُمَعَٱللَّهِإِلَـٰهًاءَاخَرَفَتَكُونَمِنَٱلْمُعَذَّبِينَ
l-muʿadhabīnaminafatakūnaākharailāhanl-lahimaʿatadʿufalā
So (do) notinvokewithAllahgodanotherlest you beofthose punished
26:213
وَأَنذِرْعَشِيرَتَكَٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ
l-aqrabīnaʿashīratakawa-andhir
And warnyour kindred[the] closest
26:214
وَٱخْفِضْجَنَاحَكَلِمَنِٱتَّبَعَكَمِنَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnaminaittabaʿakalimanijanāḥakawa-ikh'fiḍ
And loweryour wingto (those) whofollow youofthe believers
26:215
فَإِنْعَصَوْكَفَقُلْإِنِّىبَرِىٓءٌۭمِّمَّاتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnamimmābarīoninnīfaqulʿaṣawkafa-in
Then ifthey disobey youthen sayIndeed, I aminnocentof whatyou do
26:216
وَتَوَكَّلْعَلَىٱلْعَزِيزِٱلرَّحِيمِ
l-raḥīmil-ʿazīziʿalāwatawakkal
And put (your) trustinthe All-Mightythe Most Merciful
26:217
ٱلَّذِىيَرَىٰكَحِينَتَقُومُ
taqūmuḥīnayarākaalladhī
The One Whosees youwhenyou stand up
26:218
وَتَقَلُّبَكَفِىٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
l-sājidīnafīwataqallubaka
And your movementsamongthose who prostrate
26:219
إِنَّهُۥهُوَٱلسَّمِيعُٱلْعَلِيمُ
l-ʿalīmul-samīʿuhuwainnahu
Indeed, He[He](is) the All-Hearerthe All-Knower
26:220
هَلْأُنَبِّئُكُمْعَلَىٰمَنتَنَزَّلُٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ
l-shayāṭīnutanazzalumanʿalāunabbi-ukumhal
ShallI inform youuponwhomdescendthe devils
26:221
تَنَزَّلُعَلَىٰكُلِّأَفَّاكٍأَثِيمٍۢ
athīminaffākinkulliʿalātanazzalu
They descenduponeveryliarsinful
26:222
يُلْقُونَٱلسَّمْعَوَأَكْثَرُهُمْكَـٰذِبُونَ
kādhibūnawa-aktharuhuml-samʿayul'qūna
They pass on(what is) heardand most of them(are) liars
26:223
وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُيَتَّبِعُهُمُٱلْغَاوُۥنَ
l-ghāwūnayattabiʿuhumuwal-shuʿarāu
And the poets follow themthe deviators
26:224
أَلَمْتَرَأَنَّهُمْفِىكُلِّوَادٍۢيَهِيمُونَ
yahīmūnawādinkullifīannahumtaraalam
Do notyou seethat theyineveryvalley[they] roam
26:225
وَأَنَّهُمْيَقُولُونَمَالَايَفْعَلُونَ
yafʿalūnalāmāyaqūlūnawa-annahum
And that theysaywhatnotthey do
26:226
إِلَّاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَعَمِلُوا۟ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِوَذَكَرُوا۟ٱللَّهَكَثِيرًۭاوَٱنتَصَرُوا۟مِنۢبَعْدِمَاظُلِمُوا۟ ۗوَسَيَعْلَمُٱلَّذِينَظَلَمُوٓا۟أَىَّمُنقَلَبٍۢيَنقَلِبُونَ
yanqalibūnamunqalabinayyaẓalamūalladhīnawasayaʿlamuẓulimūmābaʿdiminwa-intaṣarūkathīranl-lahawadhakarūl-ṣāliḥātiwaʿamilūāmanūalladhīnaillā
Exceptthose whobelieveand dorighteous deedsand rememberAllahmuchand defend themselvesafterafterafterthey were wrongedAnd will come to knowthose whohave wronged(to) whatreturnthey will return
26:227
Basmala
طسٓ ۚتِلْكَءَايَـٰتُٱلْقُرْءَانِوَكِتَابٍۢمُّبِينٍ
mubīninwakitābinl-qur'āniāyātutil'katta-seen
Ta SeenThese(are the) Verses(of) the Quranand a Bookclear
27:1
هُدًۭىوَبُشْرَىٰلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
lil'mu'minīnawabush'rāhudan
A guidanceand glad tidingsfor the believers
27:2
ٱلَّذِينَيُقِيمُونَٱلصَّلَوٰةَوَيُؤْتُونَٱلزَّكَوٰةَوَهُمبِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِهُمْيُوقِنُونَ
yūqinūnahumbil-ākhiratiwahuml-zakatawayu'tūnal-ṣalatayuqīmūnaalladhīna
Those whoestablishthe prayerand givezakahand theyin the Hereafter[they]believe with certainty
27:3
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَلَايُؤْمِنُونَبِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِزَيَّنَّالَهُمْأَعْمَـٰلَهُمْفَهُمْيَعْمَهُونَ
yaʿmahūnafahumaʿmālahumlahumzayyannābil-ākhiratiyu'minūnalāalladhīnainna
Indeedthose who(do) notbelievein the HereafterWe have made fair-seemingto themtheir deedsso theywander blindly
27:4
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَٱلَّذِينَلَهُمْسُوٓءُٱلْعَذَابِوَهُمْفِىٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِهُمُٱلْأَخْسَرُونَ
l-akhsarūnahumul-ākhiratifīwahuml-ʿadhābisūulahumalladhīnaulāika
Those(are) the onesfor them(is) an evil[the] punishmentand theyinthe Hereafter[they](will be) the greatest losers
27:5
وَإِنَّكَلَتُلَقَّىٱلْقُرْءَانَمِنلَّدُنْحَكِيمٍعَلِيمٍ
ʿalīminḥakīminladunminl-qur'ānalatulaqqāwa-innaka
And indeed, yousurely, receivethe Quranfrom [near]from [near]the All-Wisethe All-Knower
27:6
إِذْقَالَمُوسَىٰلِأَهْلِهِۦٓإِنِّىٓءَانَسْتُنَارًۭاسَـَٔاتِيكُممِّنْهَابِخَبَرٍأَوْءَاتِيكُمبِشِهَابٍۢقَبَسٍۢلَّعَلَّكُمْتَصْطَلُونَ
taṣṭalūnalaʿallakumqabasinbishihābinātīkumawbikhabarinmin'hāsaātīkumnāranānastuinnīli-ahlihimūsāqālaidh
WhensaidMusato his familyIndeed, Iperceivea fireI will bring youfrom itsome informationorI will bring youa torchburningso that you maywarm yourselves
27:7
فَلَمَّاجَآءَهَانُودِىَأَنۢبُورِكَمَنفِىٱلنَّارِوَمَنْحَوْلَهَاوَسُبْحَـٰنَٱللَّهِرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnarabbil-lahiwasub'ḥānaḥawlahāwamanl-nārifīmanbūrikaannūdiyajāahāfalammā
But whenhe came to ithe was called[that]Blessed iswho(is) atthe fireand whoever(is) around itAnd glory be(to) Allah(the) Lord(of) the worlds
27:8
يَـٰمُوسَىٰٓإِنَّهُۥٓأَنَاٱللَّهُٱلْعَزِيزُٱلْحَكِيمُ
l-ḥakīmul-ʿazīzul-lahuanāinnahuyāmūsā
O MusaIndeedI AmAllahthe All-Mightythe All-Wise
27:9
وَأَلْقِعَصَاكَ ۚفَلَمَّارَءَاهَاتَهْتَزُّكَأَنَّهَاجَآنٌّۭوَلَّىٰمُدْبِرًۭاوَلَمْيُعَقِّبْ ۚيَـٰمُوسَىٰلَاتَخَفْإِنِّىلَايَخَافُلَدَىَّٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
l-mur'salūnaladayyayakhāfulāinnītakhaflāyāmūsāyuʿaqqibwalammud'biranwallājānnunka-annahātahtazzuraāhāfalammāʿaṣākawa-alqi
And, "Throwyour staffBut whenhe saw itmovingas if it(were) a snakehe turned back(in) flightand (did) notlook backO Musa(Do) notfearIndeed, [I](do) notfear(in) My presencethe Messengers
27:10
إِلَّامَنظَلَمَثُمَّبَدَّلَحُسْنًۢابَعْدَسُوٓءٍۢفَإِنِّىغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunghafūrunfa-innīsūinbaʿdaḥus'nanbaddalathummaẓalamamanillā
Exceptwhowrongsthensubstitutesgoodafterevilthen indeed, I AmOft-ForgivingMost Merciful
27:11
وَأَدْخِلْيَدَكَفِىجَيْبِكَتَخْرُجْبَيْضَآءَمِنْغَيْرِسُوٓءٍۢ ۖفِىتِسْعِءَايَـٰتٍإِلَىٰفِرْعَوْنَوَقَوْمِهِۦٓ ۚإِنَّهُمْكَانُوا۟قَوْمًۭافَـٰسِقِينَ
fāsiqīnaqawmankānūinnahumwaqawmihifir'ʿawnailāāyātintis'ʿifīsūinghayriminbayḍāatakhrujjaybikafīyadakawa-adkhil
And enteryour handintoyour bosomit will come forthwhitewithoutwithoutharm(These are) amongninesignstoFiraunand his peopleIndeed, theyarea peopledefiantly disobedient
27:12
فَلَمَّاجَآءَتْهُمْءَايَـٰتُنَامُبْصِرَةًۭقَالُوا۟هَـٰذَاسِحْرٌۭمُّبِينٌۭ
mubīnunsiḥ'runhādhāqālūmub'ṣiratanāyātunājāathumfalammā
But whencame to themOur Signsvisiblethey saidThis(is) a magicmanifest
27:13
وَجَحَدُوا۟بِهَاوَٱسْتَيْقَنَتْهَآأَنفُسُهُمْظُلْمًۭاوَعُلُوًّۭا ۚفَٱنظُرْكَيْفَكَانَعَـٰقِبَةُٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
l-muf'sidīnaʿāqibatukānakayfafa-unẓurwaʿuluwwanẓul'mananfusuhumwa-is'tayqanathābihāwajaḥadū
And they rejectedthemthough were convinced with them (signs)themselves(out of) injusticeand haughtinessSo seehowwas(the) end(of) the corrupters
27:14
وَلَقَدْءَاتَيْنَادَاوُۥدَوَسُلَيْمَـٰنَعِلْمًۭا ۖوَقَالَاٱلْحَمْدُلِلَّهِٱلَّذِىفَضَّلَنَاعَلَىٰكَثِيرٍۢمِّنْعِبَادِهِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnaʿibādihiminkathīrinʿalāfaḍḍalanāalladhīlillahil-ḥamduwaqālāʿil'manwasulaymānadāwūdaātaynāwalaqad
And verilyWe gaveDawoodand Sulaimanknowledgeand they saidPraise beto Allahthe One Whohas favored usovermanyofHis servantsthe believers
27:15
وَوَرِثَسُلَيْمَـٰنُدَاوُۥدَ ۖوَقَالَيَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلنَّاسُعُلِّمْنَامَنطِقَٱلطَّيْرِوَأُوتِينَامِنكُلِّشَىْءٍ ۖإِنَّهَـٰذَالَهُوَٱلْفَضْلُٱلْمُبِينُ
l-mubīnul-faḍlulahuwahādhāinnashayinkulliminwaūtīnāl-ṭayrimanṭiqaʿullim'nāl-nāsuyāayyuhāwaqāladāwūdasulaymānuwawaritha
And inheritedSulaimanDawoodAnd he saidOpeopleWe have been taught(the) language(of) the birdsand we have been givenfromeverythingIndeedthissurely, it(is) the favorevident
27:16
وَحُشِرَلِسُلَيْمَـٰنَجُنُودُهُۥمِنَٱلْجِنِّوَٱلْإِنسِوَٱلطَّيْرِفَهُمْيُوزَعُونَ
yūzaʿūnafahumwal-ṭayriwal-insil-jiniminajunūduhulisulaymānawaḥushira
And were gatheredfor Sulaimanhis hostsofjinnand the menand the birdsand they(were) set in rows
27:17
حَتَّىٰٓإِذَآأَتَوْا۟عَلَىٰوَادِٱلنَّمْلِقَالَتْنَمْلَةٌۭيَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلنَّمْلُٱدْخُلُوا۟مَسَـٰكِنَكُمْلَايَحْطِمَنَّكُمْسُلَيْمَـٰنُوَجُنُودُهُۥوَهُمْلَايَشْعُرُونَ
yashʿurūnalāwahumwajunūduhusulaymānuyaḥṭimannakumlāmasākinakumud'khulūl-namluyāayyuhānamlatunqālatl-namliwādiʿalāatawidhāḥattā
Untilwhenthey cameto(the) valley(of) the antssaidan antOantsEnteryour dwellingslest not crush youlest not crush youSulaimanand his hostswhile they(do) not perceive(do) not perceive
27:18
فَتَبَسَّمَضَاحِكًۭامِّنقَوْلِهَاوَقَالَرَبِّأَوْزِعْنِىٓأَنْأَشْكُرَنِعْمَتَكَٱلَّتِىٓأَنْعَمْتَعَلَىَّوَعَلَىٰوَٰلِدَىَّوَأَنْأَعْمَلَصَـٰلِحًۭاتَرْضَىٰهُوَأَدْخِلْنِىبِرَحْمَتِكَفِىعِبَادِكَٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
l-ṣāliḥīnaʿibādikafībiraḥmatikawa-adkhil'nītarḍāhuṣāliḥanaʿmalawa-anwālidayyawaʿalāʿalayyaanʿamtaallatīniʿ'matakaashkuraanawziʿ'nīrabbiwaqālaqawlihāminḍāḥikanfatabassama
So he smiled laughingather speechand saidMy LordGrant me (the) powerthatI may thank You(for) Your FavorwhichYou have bestowedon meand onmy parentsand thatI may dorighteous (deeds)that will please YouAnd admit meby Your MercyamongYour slavesrighteous
27:19
وَتَفَقَّدَٱلطَّيْرَفَقَالَمَالِىَلَآأَرَىٱلْهُدْهُدَأَمْكَانَمِنَٱلْغَآئِبِينَ
l-ghāibīnaminakānaaml-hud'hudaarālāliyamāfaqālal-ṭayrawatafaqqada
And he inspectedthe birdsand saidWhyWhynotI seethe hoopoeoris hefromthe absent
27:20
لَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُۥعَذَابًۭاشَدِيدًاأَوْلَأَا۟ذْبَحَنَّهُۥٓأَوْلَيَأْتِيَنِّىبِسُلْطَـٰنٍۢمُّبِينٍۢ
mubīninbisul'ṭāninlayatiyannīawlaādh'baḥannahuawshadīdanʿadhābanla-uʿadhibannahu
I will surely punish him(with) a punishmentsevereorI will surely slaughter himunlesshe brings mea reasonclear
27:21
فَمَكَثَغَيْرَبَعِيدٍۢفَقَالَأَحَطتُبِمَالَمْتُحِطْبِهِۦوَجِئْتُكَمِنسَبَإٍۭبِنَبَإٍۢيَقِينٍ
yaqīninbinaba-insaba-inminwaji'tukabihituḥiṭlambimāaḥaṭtufaqālabaʿīdinghayrafamakatha
So he stayednotlongand he saidI have encompassedthat whichnotyou have encompasseditand I have come to youfromSabawith newscertain
27:22
إِنِّىوَجَدتُّٱمْرَأَةًۭتَمْلِكُهُمْوَأُوتِيَتْمِنكُلِّشَىْءٍۢوَلَهَاعَرْشٌعَظِيمٌۭ
ʿaẓīmunʿarshunwalahāshayinkulliminwaūtiyattamlikuhumim'ra-atanwajadttuinnī
Indeed, Ifounda womanruling themand she has been givenofeverythingand for her(is) a thronegreat
27:23
وَجَدتُّهَاوَقَوْمَهَايَسْجُدُونَلِلشَّمْسِمِندُونِٱللَّهِوَزَيَّنَلَهُمُٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُأَعْمَـٰلَهُمْفَصَدَّهُمْعَنِٱلسَّبِيلِفَهُمْلَايَهْتَدُونَ
yahtadūnalāfahuml-sabīliʿanifaṣaddahumaʿmālahuml-shayṭānulahumuwazayyanal-lahidūniminlilshamsiyasjudūnawaqawmahāwajadttuhā
And I found herand her peopleprostratingto the suninstead of Allahinstead of Allahinstead of Allahand has made fair-seemingto themthe Shaitaantheir deedsand averted themfromthe Wayso they(are) notguided
27:24
أَلَّايَسْجُدُوا۟لِلَّهِٱلَّذِىيُخْرِجُٱلْخَبْءَفِىٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِوَيَعْلَمُمَاتُخْفُونَوَمَاتُعْلِنُونَ
tuʿ'linūnawamātukh'fūnamāwayaʿlamuwal-arḍil-samāwātifīl-khaba-ayukh'rijualladhīlillahiyasjudūallā
That notthey prostrateto Allahthe One Whobrings forththe hiddeninthe heavensand the earthand knowswhatyou concealand whatyou declare
27:25
ٱللَّهُلَآإِلَـٰهَإِلَّاهُوَرَبُّٱلْعَرْشِٱلْعَظِيمِ ۩‏
l-ʿaẓīmil-ʿarshirabbuhuwaillāilāhalāal-lahu
Allah(there is) nogodbutHe(the) Lord(of) the Thronethe Great
27:26
۞ قَالَسَنَنظُرُأَصَدَقْتَأَمْكُنتَمِنَٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ
l-kādhibīnaminakuntaamaṣadaqtasananẓuruqāla
He saidWe will seewhether you speak (the) truthoryou areofthe liars
27:27
ٱذْهَببِّكِتَـٰبِىهَـٰذَافَأَلْقِهْإِلَيْهِمْثُمَّتَوَلَّعَنْهُمْفَٱنظُرْمَاذَايَرْجِعُونَ
yarjiʿūnamādhāfa-unẓurʿanhumtawallathummailayhimfa-alqihhādhābikitābīidh'hab
Gowith my letterthisand deliver itto themThenturn awayfrom themand seewhatthey return
27:28
قَالَتْيَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلْمَلَؤُا۟إِنِّىٓأُلْقِىَإِلَىَّكِتَـٰبٌۭكَرِيمٌ
karīmunkitābunilayyaul'qiyainnīl-mala-uyāayyuhāqālat
She saidOchiefsIndeed [I]is deliveredto mea letternoble
27:29
إِنَّهُۥمِنسُلَيْمَـٰنَوَإِنَّهُۥبِسْمِٱللَّهِٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِٱلرَّحِيمِ
l-raḥīmil-raḥmānil-lahibis'miwa-innahusulaymānamininnahu
Indeed, it(is) fromSulaimanand indeed it (is)In the name(of) Allahthe Most Graciousthe Most Merciful
27:30
أَلَّاتَعْلُوا۟عَلَىَّوَأْتُونِىمُسْلِمِينَ
mus'limīnawatūnīʿalayyataʿlūallā
That notexalt yourselvesagainst mebut come to me(in) submission
27:31
قَالَتْيَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلْمَلَؤُا۟أَفْتُونِىفِىٓأَمْرِىمَاكُنتُقَاطِعَةًأَمْرًاحَتَّىٰتَشْهَدُونِ
tashhadūniḥattāamranqāṭiʿatankuntumāamrīfīaftūnīl-mala-uyāayyuhāqālat
She saidOchiefsAdvise meinmy affairNotI would bethe one to decideany matteruntilyou are present with me
27:32
قَالُوا۟نَحْنُأُو۟لُوا۟قُوَّةٍۢوَأُو۟لُوا۟بَأْسٍۢشَدِيدٍۢوَٱلْأَمْرُإِلَيْكِفَٱنظُرِىمَاذَاتَأْمُرِينَ
tamurīnamādhāfa-unẓurīilaykiwal-amrushadīdinbasinwa-ulūquwwatinulūnaḥnuqālū
They saidWe(are) possessors(of) strengthand possessors(of) mightgreatand the command(is) up to youso lookwhatyou will command
27:33
قَالَتْإِنَّٱلْمُلُوكَإِذَادَخَلُوا۟قَرْيَةًأَفْسَدُوهَاوَجَعَلُوٓا۟أَعِزَّةَأَهْلِهَآأَذِلَّةًۭ ۖوَكَذَٰلِكَيَفْعَلُونَ
yafʿalūnawakadhālikaadhillatanahlihāaʿizzatawajaʿalūafsadūhāqaryatandakhalūidhāl-mulūkainnaqālat
She saidIndeedthe kingswhenthey entera townthey ruin itand make(the) most honorable(of) its people(the) lowestAnd thusthey do
27:34
وَإِنِّىمُرْسِلَةٌإِلَيْهِمبِهَدِيَّةٍۢفَنَاظِرَةٌۢبِمَيَرْجِعُٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
l-mur'salūnayarjiʿubimafanāẓiratunbihadiyyatinilayhimmur'silatunwa-innī
But indeed, I amgoing to sendto thema giftand seewith whatreturnthe messengers
27:35
فَلَمَّاجَآءَسُلَيْمَـٰنَقَالَأَتُمِدُّونَنِبِمَالٍۢفَمَآءَاتَىٰنِۦَٱللَّهُخَيْرٌۭمِّمَّآءَاتَىٰكُمبَلْأَنتُمبِهَدِيَّتِكُمْتَفْرَحُونَ
tafraḥūnabihadiyyatikumantumbalātākummimmākhayrunl-lahuātāniyafamābimālinatumiddūnaniqālasulaymānajāafalammā
So whencame(to) Sulaimanhe saidWill you provide mewith wealthBut whatAllah has given meAllah has given me(is) betterthan whatHe has given youNayyouin your giftrejoice
27:36
ٱرْجِعْإِلَيْهِمْفَلَنَأْتِيَنَّهُمبِجُنُودٍۢلَّاقِبَلَلَهُمبِهَاوَلَنُخْرِجَنَّهُممِّنْهَآأَذِلَّةًۭوَهُمْصَـٰغِرُونَ
ṣāghirūnawahumadhillatanmin'hāwalanukh'rijannahumbihālahumqibalalābijunūdinfalanatiyannahumilayhimir'jiʿ
Returnto themsurely, we will come to themwith hostsnot(is) resistancefor themof itand surely, we will drive them outfrom there(in) humiliationand they(will be) abased
27:37
قَالَيَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلْمَلَؤُا۟أَيُّكُمْيَأْتِينِىبِعَرْشِهَاقَبْلَأَنيَأْتُونِىمُسْلِمِينَ
mus'limīnayatūnīanqablabiʿarshihāyatīnīayyukuml-mala-uyāayyuhāqāla
He saidOchiefsWhich of youwill bring meher thronebeforethatthey come to me(in) submission
27:38
قَالَعِفْرِيتٌۭمِّنَٱلْجِنِّأَنَا۠ءَاتِيكَبِهِۦقَبْلَأَنتَقُومَمِنمَّقَامِكَ ۖوَإِنِّىعَلَيْهِلَقَوِىٌّأَمِينٌۭ
amīnunlaqawiyyunʿalayhiwa-innīmaqāmikamintaqūmaanqablabihiātīkaanāl-jiniminaʿif'rītunqāla
Saida strong oneofthe jinnIwill bring it to youwill bring it to youbefore[that]you risefromyour placeAnd indeed, I amfor itsurely, strongtrustworthy
27:39
قَالَٱلَّذِىعِندَهُۥعِلْمٌۭمِّنَٱلْكِتَـٰبِأَنَا۠ءَاتِيكَبِهِۦقَبْلَأَنيَرْتَدَّإِلَيْكَطَرْفُكَ ۚفَلَمَّارَءَاهُمُسْتَقِرًّاعِندَهُۥقَالَهَـٰذَامِنفَضْلِرَبِّىلِيَبْلُوَنِىٓءَأَشْكُرُأَمْأَكْفُرُ ۖوَمَنشَكَرَفَإِنَّمَايَشْكُرُلِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖوَمَنكَفَرَفَإِنَّرَبِّىغَنِىٌّۭكَرِيمٌۭ
karīmunghaniyyunrabbīfa-innakafarawamanlinafsihiyashkurufa-innamāshakarawamanakfuruama-ashkuruliyabluwanīrabbīfaḍliminhādhāqālaʿindahumus'taqirranraāhufalammāṭarfukailaykayartaddaanqablabihiātīkaanāl-kitābiminaʿil'munʿindahualladhīqāla
Saidone whowith him(was) knowledgeofthe ScriptureIwill bring it to youwill bring it to youbefore[that]returnsto youyour glanceThen whenhe saw itplacedbefore himhe saidThis(is) from(the) Favor(of) my Lordto test mewhether I am gratefulorI am ungratefulAnd whoever(is) gratefulthen onlyhe is gratefulfor his own soulAnd whoever(is) ungratefulthen indeedmy Lord(is) Self-sufficientNoble
27:40
قَالَنَكِّرُوا۟لَهَاعَرْشَهَانَنظُرْأَتَهْتَدِىٓأَمْتَكُونُمِنَٱلَّذِينَلَايَهْتَدُونَ
yahtadūnalāalladhīnaminatakūnuamatahtadīnanẓurʿarshahālahānakkirūqāla
He saidDisguisefor herher thronewe will seewhether she will be guidedorwill beofthose whoare not guidedare not guided
27:41
فَلَمَّاجَآءَتْقِيلَأَهَـٰكَذَاعَرْشُكِ ۖقَالَتْكَأَنَّهُۥهُوَ ۚوَأُوتِينَاٱلْعِلْمَمِنقَبْلِهَاوَكُنَّامُسْلِمِينَ
mus'limīnawakunnāqablihāminl-ʿil'mawaūtīnāhuwaka-annahuqālatʿarshukiahākadhāqīlajāatfalammā
So whenshe cameit was saidIs like thisyour throneShe saidIt is likeitAnd we were giventhe knowledgebefore herbefore herand we have beenMuslims
27:42
وَصَدَّهَامَاكَانَتتَّعْبُدُمِندُونِٱللَّهِ ۖإِنَّهَاكَانَتْمِنقَوْمٍۢكَـٰفِرِينَ
kāfirīnaqawminminkānatinnahāl-lahidūnimintaʿbudukānatmāwaṣaddahā
And has averted herwhatshe used (to)worshipbesidesbesidesAllahIndeed, shewasfroma peoplewho disbelieve
27:43
قِيلَلَهَاٱدْخُلِىٱلصَّرْحَ ۖفَلَمَّارَأَتْهُحَسِبَتْهُلُجَّةًۭوَكَشَفَتْعَنسَاقَيْهَا ۚقَالَإِنَّهُۥصَرْحٌۭمُّمَرَّدٌۭمِّنقَوَارِيرَ ۗقَالَتْرَبِّإِنِّىظَلَمْتُنَفْسِىوَأَسْلَمْتُمَعَسُلَيْمَـٰنَلِلَّهِرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnarabbilillahisulaymānamaʿawa-aslamtunafsīẓalamtuinnīrabbiqālatqawārīraminmumarradunṣarḥuninnahuqālasāqayhāʿanwakashafatlujjatanḥasibathura-athufalammāl-ṣarḥaud'khulīlahāqīla
It was saidto herEnterthe palaceThen whenshe saw itshe thought it(was) a pooland she uncovered[on]her shinsHe saidIndeed, it(is) a palacemade smoothofglassShe saidMy Lordindeed, I[I] have wrongedmyselfand I submitwithSulaimanto Allah(the) Lord(of) the worlds
27:44
وَلَقَدْأَرْسَلْنَآإِلَىٰثَمُودَأَخَاهُمْصَـٰلِحًاأَنِٱعْبُدُوا۟ٱللَّهَفَإِذَاهُمْفَرِيقَانِيَخْتَصِمُونَ
yakhtaṣimūnafarīqānihumfa-idhāl-lahauʿ'budūaniṣāliḥanakhāhumthamūdailāarsalnāwalaqad
And certainlyWe senttoThamudtheir brotherSalihthatWorshipAllahThen beholdThey(became) two partiesquarreling
27:45
قَالَيَـٰقَوْمِلِمَتَسْتَعْجِلُونَبِٱلسَّيِّئَةِقَبْلَٱلْحَسَنَةِ ۖلَوْلَاتَسْتَغْفِرُونَٱللَّهَلَعَلَّكُمْتُرْحَمُونَ
tur'ḥamūnalaʿallakuml-lahatastaghfirūnalawlāl-ḥasanatiqablabil-sayi-atitastaʿjilūnalimayāqawmiqāla
He saidO my peopleWhy(do) you seek to hastenthe evilbeforethe goodWhy notyou ask forgiveness(of) Allahso that you mayreceive mercy
27:46
قَالُوا۟ٱطَّيَّرْنَابِكَوَبِمَنمَّعَكَ ۚقَالَطَـٰٓئِرُكُمْعِندَٱللَّهِ ۖبَلْأَنتُمْقَوْمٌۭتُفْتَنُونَ
tuf'tanūnaqawmunantumball-lahiʿindaṭāirukumqālamaʿakawabimanbikaiṭṭayyarnāqālū
They saidWe consider you a bad omenWe consider you a bad omenand thosewith youHe saidYour bad omen(is) withAllahNayyou(are) a peoplebeing tested
27:47
وَكَانَفِىٱلْمَدِينَةِتِسْعَةُرَهْطٍۢيُفْسِدُونَفِىٱلْأَرْضِوَلَايُصْلِحُونَ
yuṣ'liḥūnawalāl-arḍifīyuf'sidūnarahṭintis'ʿatul-madīnatifīwakāna
And wereinthe cityninefamily headsthey were spreading corruptioninthe landand notreforming
27:48
قَالُوا۟تَقَاسَمُوا۟بِٱللَّهِلَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُۥوَأَهْلَهُۥثُمَّلَنَقُولَنَّلِوَلِيِّهِۦمَاشَهِدْنَامَهْلِكَأَهْلِهِۦوَإِنَّالَصَـٰدِقُونَ
laṣādiqūnawa-innāahlihimahlikashahid'nāmāliwaliyyihilanaqūlannathummawa-ahlahulanubayyitannahubil-lahitaqāsamūqālū
They saidSwear to each otherby Allahsurely, we will attack him by nightand his familyThenwe will surely sayto his heirNotwe witnessed(the) destruction(of) his familyand indeed, we(are) surely truthful
27:49
وَمَكَرُوا۟مَكْرًۭاوَمَكَرْنَامَكْرًۭاوَهُمْلَايَشْعُرُونَ
yashʿurūnalāwahummakranwamakarnāmakranwamakarū
So they plotteda plotand We planneda planwhile they(did) notperceive
27:50
فَٱنظُرْكَيْفَكَانَعَـٰقِبَةُمَكْرِهِمْأَنَّادَمَّرْنَـٰهُمْوَقَوْمَهُمْأَجْمَعِينَ
ajmaʿīnawaqawmahumdammarnāhumannāmakrihimʿāqibatukānakayfafa-unẓur
Then seehowwas(the) end(of) their plotthat Wedestroyed themand their peopleall
27:51
فَتِلْكَبُيُوتُهُمْخَاوِيَةًۢبِمَاظَلَمُوٓا۟ ۗإِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭلِّقَوْمٍۢيَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnaliqawminlaāyatandhālikafīinnaẓalamūbimākhāwiyatanbuyūtuhumfatil'ka
So, these(are) their housesruinedbecausethey wrongedIndeedinthatsurely, is a signfor a peoplewho know
27:52
وَأَنجَيْنَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَكَانُوا۟يَتَّقُونَ
yattaqūnawakānūāmanūalladhīnawa-anjaynā
And We savedthose whobelievedand used (to)fear (Allah)
27:53
وَلُوطًاإِذْقَالَلِقَوْمِهِۦٓأَتَأْتُونَٱلْفَـٰحِشَةَوَأَنتُمْتُبْصِرُونَ
tub'ṣirūnawa-antuml-fāḥishataatatūnaliqawmihiqālaidhwalūṭan
And Lutwhenhe saidto his peopleDo you commit[the] immoralitywhile yousee
27:54
أَئِنَّكُمْلَتَأْتُونَٱلرِّجَالَشَهْوَةًۭمِّندُونِٱلنِّسَآءِ ۚبَلْأَنتُمْقَوْمٌۭتَجْهَلُونَ
tajhalūnaqawmunantumball-nisāidūniminshahwatanl-rijālalatatūnaa-innakum
Why do youapproachthe men(with) lustinstead ofinstead ofthe womenNayyou(are) a peopleignorant
27:55
