Basmala
۞ فَمَاكَانَجَوَابَقَوْمِهِۦٓإِلَّآأَنقَالُوٓا۟أَخْرِجُوٓا۟ءَالَلُوطٍۢمِّنقَرْيَتِكُمْ ۖإِنَّهُمْأُنَاسٌۭيَتَطَهَّرُونَ
yataṭahharūnaunāsuninnahumqaryatikumminlūṭinālaakhrijūqālūanillāqawmihijawābakānafamā
But notwas(the) answer(of) his peopleexceptthatthey saidDrive out(the) family(of) Lutfromyour townIndeed, they(are) peoplewho keep clean and pure
27:56
فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُوَأَهْلَهُۥٓإِلَّاٱمْرَأَتَهُۥقَدَّرْنَـٰهَامِنَٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ
l-ghābirīnaminaqaddarnāhāim'ra-atahuillāwa-ahlahufa-anjaynāhu
So We saved himand his familyexcepthis wifeWe destined her(to be) ofthose who remained behind
27:57
وَأَمْطَرْنَاعَلَيْهِممَّطَرًۭا ۖفَسَآءَمَطَرُٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
l-mundharīnamaṭarufasāamaṭaranʿalayhimwa-amṭarnā
And We rainedupon thema rainand was evil(the) rain(on) those who were warned
27:58
قُلِٱلْحَمْدُلِلَّهِوَسَلَـٰمٌعَلَىٰعِبَادِهِٱلَّذِينَٱصْطَفَىٰٓ ۗءَآللَّهُخَيْرٌأَمَّايُشْرِكُونَ
yush'rikūnaammākhayrunāllahuiṣ'ṭafāalladhīnaʿibādihiʿalāwasalāmunlillahil-ḥamduquli
SayAll praise (be)to Allahand peace (be)uponHis slavesthose whomHe has chosenIs Allahbetteror whatthey associate (with Him)
27:59
أَمَّنْخَلَقَٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضَوَأَنزَلَلَكُممِّنَٱلسَّمَآءِمَآءًۭفَأَنۢبَتْنَابِهِۦحَدَآئِقَذَاتَبَهْجَةٍۢمَّاكَانَلَكُمْأَنتُنۢبِتُوا۟شَجَرَهَآ ۗأَءِلَـٰهٌۭمَّعَٱللَّهِ ۚبَلْهُمْقَوْمٌۭيَعْدِلُونَ
yaʿdilūnaqawmunhumball-lahimaʿaa-ilāhunshajarahātunbitūanlakumkānamābahjatindhātaḥadāiqabihifa-anbatnāmāanl-samāiminalakumwa-anzalawal-arḍal-samāwātikhalaqaamman
Or Whohas createdthe heavensand the earthand sent downfor youfromthe skywaterAnd We caused to growtherebygardensof beauty (and delight)of beauty (and delight)notit isfor youthatyou cause to growtheir treesIs there any godwithAllahNaythey(are) a peoplewho ascribe equals
27:60
أَمَّنجَعَلَٱلْأَرْضَقَرَارًۭاوَجَعَلَخِلَـٰلَهَآأَنْهَـٰرًۭاوَجَعَلَلَهَارَوَٰسِىَوَجَعَلَبَيْنَٱلْبَحْرَيْنِحَاجِزًا ۗأَءِلَـٰهٌۭمَّعَٱللَّهِ ۚبَلْأَكْثَرُهُمْلَايَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnalāaktharuhumball-lahimaʿaa-ilāhunḥājizanl-baḥraynibaynawajaʿalarawāsiyalahāwajaʿalaanhārankhilālahāwajaʿalaqarāranl-arḍajaʿalaamman
Or Whomadethe eartha firm abodeand made(in) its midstriversand madefor itfirm mountainsand madebetweenthe two seasa barrierIs there any godwithAllahNaymost of them(do) notknow
27:61
أَمَّنيُجِيبُٱلْمُضْطَرَّإِذَادَعَاهُوَيَكْشِفُٱلسُّوٓءَوَيَجْعَلُكُمْخُلَفَآءَٱلْأَرْضِ ۗأَءِلَـٰهٌۭمَّعَٱللَّهِ ۚقَلِيلًۭامَّاتَذَكَّرُونَ
tadhakkarūnamāqalīlanl-lahimaʿaa-ilāhunl-arḍikhulafāawayajʿalukuml-sūawayakshifudaʿāhuidhāl-muḍ'ṭarayujībuamman
Or Whoresponds(to) the distressed onewhenhe calls Himand He removesthe eviland makes youinheritors(of) the earthIs there any godwithAllahLittle(is) whatyou remember
27:62
أَمَّنيَهْدِيكُمْفِىظُلُمَـٰتِٱلْبَرِّوَٱلْبَحْرِوَمَنيُرْسِلُٱلرِّيَـٰحَبُشْرًۢابَيْنَيَدَىْرَحْمَتِهِۦٓ ۗأَءِلَـٰهٌۭمَّعَٱللَّهِ ۚتَعَـٰلَىٱللَّهُعَمَّايُشْرِكُونَ
yush'rikūnaʿammāl-lahutaʿālāl-lahimaʿaa-ilāhunraḥmatihiyadaybaynabush'ranl-riyāḥayur'siluwamanwal-baḥril-bariẓulumātifīyahdīkumamman
Or Whoguides youin(the) darkness[es](of) the landand the seaand Whosendsthe winds(as) glad tidingsbeforebeforeHis MercyIs there any godwithAllahHigh isAllahabove whatthey associate (with Him)
27:63
أَمَّنيَبْدَؤُا۟ٱلْخَلْقَثُمَّيُعِيدُهُۥوَمَنيَرْزُقُكُممِّنَٱلسَّمَآءِوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۗأَءِلَـٰهٌۭمَّعَٱللَّهِ ۚقُلْهَاتُوا۟بُرْهَـٰنَكُمْإِنكُنتُمْصَـٰدِقِينَ
ṣādiqīnakuntuminbur'hānakumhātūqull-lahimaʿaa-ilāhunwal-arḍil-samāiminayarzuqukumwamanyuʿīduhuthummal-khalqayabda-uamman
Or Whooriginatesthe creationthenrepeats itand Whoprovides youfromthe heavensand the earthIs there any godwithAllahSayBring forthyour proofifyou aretruthful
27:64
قُللَّايَعْلَمُمَنفِىٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِٱلْغَيْبَإِلَّاٱللَّهُ ۚوَمَايَشْعُرُونَأَيَّانَيُبْعَثُونَ
yub'ʿathūnaayyānayashʿurūnawamāl-lahuillāl-ghaybawal-arḍil-samāwātifīmanyaʿlamulāqul
SayNo (one)knowswhoever(is) inthe heavensand the earth(of) the unseenexceptAllahand notthey perceivewhenthey will be resurrected
27:65
بَلِٱدَّٰرَكَعِلْمُهُمْفِىٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۚبَلْهُمْفِىشَكٍّۢمِّنْهَا ۖبَلْهُممِّنْهَاعَمُونَ
ʿamūnamin'hāhumbalmin'hāshakkinfīhumball-ākhiratifīʿil'muhumiddārakabali
Nayis arrestedtheir knowledgeofthe HereafterNaythey(are) indoubtabout itNaytheyabout it(are) blind
27:66
وَقَالَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوٓا۟أَءِذَاكُنَّاتُرَٰبًۭاوَءَابَآؤُنَآأَئِنَّالَمُخْرَجُونَ
lamukh'rajūnaa-innāwaābāunāturābankunnāa-idhākafarūalladhīnawaqāla
And saythose whodisbelieveWhat, whenwe have becomedustand our forefatherswill wesurely be brought out
27:67
لَقَدْوُعِدْنَاهَـٰذَانَحْنُوَءَابَآؤُنَامِنقَبْلُإِنْهَـٰذَآإِلَّآأَسَـٰطِيرُٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnaasāṭīruillāhādhāinqabluminwaābāunānaḥnuhādhāwuʿid'nālaqad
Certainlywe have been promisedthisweand our forefathersbeforebeforeNot(is) thisexcepttales(of) the former (people)
27:68
قُلْسِيرُوا۟فِىٱلْأَرْضِفَٱنظُرُوا۟كَيْفَكَانَعَـٰقِبَةُٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
l-muj'rimīnaʿāqibatukānakayfafa-unẓurūl-arḍifīsīrūqul
SayTravelinthe landand seehowwas(the) end(of) the criminals
27:69
وَلَاتَحْزَنْعَلَيْهِمْوَلَاتَكُنفِىضَيْقٍۢمِّمَّايَمْكُرُونَ
yamkurūnamimmāḍayqinfītakunwalāʿalayhimtaḥzanwalā
And (do) notgrieveover themand notbeindistressfrom whatthey plot
27:70
وَيَقُولُونَمَتَىٰهَـٰذَاٱلْوَعْدُإِنكُنتُمْصَـٰدِقِينَ
ṣādiqīnakuntuminl-waʿduhādhāmatāwayaqūlūna
And they sayWhen(will) thispromise (be fulfilled)ifyou aretruthful
27:71
قُلْعَسَىٰٓأَنيَكُونَرَدِفَلَكُمبَعْضُٱلَّذِىتَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
tastaʿjilūnaalladhībaʿḍulakumradifayakūnaanʿasāqul
SayPerhapsthatisclose behindyousome(of) that whichyou seek to hasten
27:72
وَإِنَّرَبَّكَلَذُوفَضْلٍعَلَىٱلنَّاسِوَلَـٰكِنَّأَكْثَرَهُمْلَايَشْكُرُونَ
yashkurūnalāaktharahumwalākinnal-nāsiʿalāfaḍlinladhūrabbakawa-inna
And indeedyour Lord(is) full of Bounty(is) full of Bountyforthe mankindbutmost of them(are) notgrateful
27:73
وَإِنَّرَبَّكَلَيَعْلَمُمَاتُكِنُّصُدُورُهُمْوَمَايُعْلِنُونَ
yuʿ'linūnawamāṣudūruhumtukinnumālayaʿlamurabbakawa-inna
And indeedyour Lordsurely knowswhatconcealstheir breastsand whatthey declare
27:74
وَمَامِنْغَآئِبَةٍۢفِىٱلسَّمَآءِوَٱلْأَرْضِإِلَّافِىكِتَـٰبٍۢمُّبِينٍ
mubīninkitābinfīillāwal-arḍil-samāifīghāibatinminwamā
And not (is)any (thing)hiddeninthe heavensand the earthbut(is) ina Recordclear
27:75
إِنَّهَـٰذَاٱلْقُرْءَانَيَقُصُّعَلَىٰبَنِىٓإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَأَكْثَرَٱلَّذِىهُمْفِيهِيَخْتَلِفُونَ
yakhtalifūnafīhihumalladhīaktharais'rāīlabanīʿalāyaquṣṣul-qur'ānahādhāinna
Indeedthis[the] Quranrelatesto(the) Children(of) Israelmost(of) thattheyin itdiffer
27:76
وَإِنَّهُۥلَهُدًۭىوَرَحْمَةٌۭلِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
lil'mu'minīnawaraḥmatunlahudanwa-innahu
And indeed, it(is) surely a guidanceand a mercyfor the believers
27:77
إِنَّرَبَّكَيَقْضِىبَيْنَهُمبِحُكْمِهِۦ ۚوَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلْعَلِيمُ
l-ʿalīmul-ʿazīzuwahuwabiḥuk'mihibaynahumyaqḍīrabbakainna
Indeedyour Lordwill judgebetween themby His Judgmentand He(is) the All-Mightythe All-Knower
27:78
فَتَوَكَّلْعَلَىٱللَّهِ ۖإِنَّكَعَلَىٱلْحَقِّٱلْمُبِينِ
l-mubīnil-ḥaqiʿalāinnakal-lahiʿalāfatawakkal
So put your trustinAllahindeed, you(are) onthe truthmanifest
27:79
إِنَّكَلَاتُسْمِعُٱلْمَوْتَىٰوَلَاتُسْمِعُٱلصُّمَّٱلدُّعَآءَإِذَاوَلَّوْا۟مُدْبِرِينَ
mud'birīnawallawidhāl-duʿāal-ṣumatus'miʿuwalāl-mawtātus'miʿulāinnaka
Indeed, you(can) notcause to hearthe deadand notcan you cause to hearthe deafthe callwhenthey turn backretreating
27:80
وَمَآأَنتَبِهَـٰدِىٱلْعُمْىِعَنضَلَـٰلَتِهِمْ ۖإِنتُسْمِعُإِلَّامَنيُؤْمِنُبِـَٔايَـٰتِنَافَهُممُّسْلِمُونَ
mus'limūnafahumbiāyātināyu'minumanillātus'miʿuinḍalālatihimʿanl-ʿum'yibihādīantawamā
And not(can) youguidethe blindfromtheir errorNotyou can cause to hearexcept(those) whobelievein Our Signsso they(are) Muslims
27:81
۞ وَإِذَاوَقَعَٱلْقَوْلُعَلَيْهِمْأَخْرَجْنَالَهُمْدَآبَّةًۭمِّنَٱلْأَرْضِتُكَلِّمُهُمْأَنَّٱلنَّاسَكَانُوا۟بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَالَايُوقِنُونَ
yūqinūnalābiāyātinākānūl-nāsaannatukallimuhuml-arḍiminadābbatanlahumakhrajnāʿalayhiml-qawluwaqaʿawa-idhā
And when(is) fulfilledthe wordagainst themWe will bring forthfor thema creaturefromthe earthspeaking to themthatthe peoplewereof Our Signsnotcertain
27:82
وَيَوْمَنَحْشُرُمِنكُلِّأُمَّةٍۢفَوْجًۭامِّمَّنيُكَذِّبُبِـَٔايَـٰتِنَافَهُمْيُوزَعُونَ
yūzaʿūnafahumbiāyātināyukadhibumimmanfawjanummatinkulliminnaḥshuruwayawma
And (the) DayWe will gatherfromeverynationa troopof (those) whodenyOur Signsand theywill be set in rows
27:83
حَتَّىٰٓإِذَاجَآءُوقَالَأَكَذَّبْتُمبِـَٔايَـٰتِىوَلَمْتُحِيطُوا۟بِهَاعِلْمًاأَمَّاذَاكُنتُمْتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnakuntumammādhāʿil'manbihātuḥīṭūwalambiāyātīakadhabtumqālajāūidhāḥattā
Untilwhenthey comeHe will sayDid you denyMy Signswhile notyou encompassedthem(in) knowledgeor whatyou used (to)do
27:84
وَوَقَعَٱلْقَوْلُعَلَيْهِمبِمَاظَلَمُوا۟فَهُمْلَايَنطِقُونَ
yanṭiqūnalāfahumẓalamūbimāʿalayhiml-qawluwawaqaʿa
And (will be) fulfilledthe wordagainst thembecausethey wrongedand they(will) notspeak
27:85
أَلَمْيَرَوْا۟أَنَّاجَعَلْنَاٱلَّيْلَلِيَسْكُنُوا۟فِيهِوَٱلنَّهَارَمُبْصِرًا ۚإِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢلِّقَوْمٍۢيُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūnaliqawminlaāyātindhālikafīinnamub'ṣiranwal-nahārafīhiliyaskunūal-laylajaʿalnāannāyarawalam
Do notthey seethat We[We] have madethe nightthat they may restin itand the daygiving visibilityIndeedinthatsurely (are) Signsfor a peoplewho believe
27:86
وَيَوْمَيُنفَخُفِىٱلصُّورِفَفَزِعَمَنفِىٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَمَنفِىٱلْأَرْضِإِلَّامَنشَآءَٱللَّهُ ۚوَكُلٌّأَتَوْهُدَٰخِرِينَ
dākhirīnaatawhuwakullunl-lahushāamanillāl-arḍifīwamanl-samāwātifīmanfafaziʿal-ṣūrifīyunfakhuwayawma
And (the) Daywill be blown[in]the trumpetand will be terrifiedwhoever(is) inthe heavensand whoever(is) inthe earthexceptwhomAllah willsAllah willsAnd all(will) come to Himhumbled
27:87
وَتَرَىٱلْجِبَالَتَحْسَبُهَاجَامِدَةًۭوَهِىَتَمُرُّمَرَّٱلسَّحَابِ ۚصُنْعَٱللَّهِٱلَّذِىٓأَتْقَنَكُلَّشَىْءٍ ۚإِنَّهُۥخَبِيرٌۢبِمَاتَفْعَلُونَ
tafʿalūnabimākhabīruninnahushayinkullaatqanaalladhīl-lahiṣun'ʿal-saḥābimarratamurruwahiyajāmidatantaḥsabuhāl-jibālawatarā
And you seethe mountainsthinking themfirmly fixedwhile theywill pass(as the) passing(of) the clouds(The) Work(of) AllahWhoperfectedallthingsIndeed, He(is) All-Awareof whatyou do
27:88
مَنجَآءَبِٱلْحَسَنَةِفَلَهُۥخَيْرٌۭمِّنْهَاوَهُممِّنفَزَعٍۢيَوْمَئِذٍءَامِنُونَ
āminūnayawma-idhinfazaʿinminwahummin'hākhayrunfalahubil-ḥasanatijāaman
Whoevercomeswith the goodthen for him(will be) betterthan itand theyfrom(the) terror(of) that Day(will be) safe
27:89
وَمَنجَآءَبِٱلسَّيِّئَةِفَكُبَّتْوُجُوهُهُمْفِىٱلنَّارِهَلْتُجْزَوْنَإِلَّامَاكُنتُمْتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnakuntummāillātuj'zawnahall-nārifīwujūhuhumfakubbatbil-sayi-atijāawaman
And whoevercomeswith the evilwill be cast downtheir facesinthe FireAreyou recompensedexcept(for) whatyou used (to)do
27:90
إِنَّمَآأُمِرْتُأَنْأَعْبُدَرَبَّهَـٰذِهِٱلْبَلْدَةِٱلَّذِىحَرَّمَهَاوَلَهُۥكُلُّشَىْءٍۢ ۖوَأُمِرْتُأَنْأَكُونَمِنَٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
l-mus'limīnaminaakūnaanwa-umir'tushayinkulluwalahuḥarramahāalladhīl-baldatihādhihirabbaaʿbudaanumir'tuinnamā
OnlyI am commandedthatI worship(the) Lord(of) thiscitythe One Whomade it sacredand to Him (belongs)allthingsAnd I am commandedthatI beofthe Muslims
27:91
وَأَنْأَتْلُوَا۟ٱلْقُرْءَانَ ۖفَمَنِٱهْتَدَىٰفَإِنَّمَايَهْتَدِىلِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖوَمَنضَلَّفَقُلْإِنَّمَآأَنَا۠مِنَٱلْمُنذِرِينَ
l-mundhirīnaminaanāinnamāfaqulḍallawamanlinafsihiyahtadīfa-innamāih'tadāfamanil-qur'ānaatluwāwa-an
And thatI recitethe QuranAnd whoeveraccepts guidancethen onlyhe accepts guidancefor himselfand whoevergoes astraythen sayOnlyI amofthe warners
27:92
وَقُلِٱلْحَمْدُلِلَّهِسَيُرِيكُمْءَايَـٰتِهِۦفَتَعْرِفُونَهَا ۚوَمَارَبُّكَبِغَـٰفِلٍعَمَّاتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnaʿammābighāfilinrabbukawamāfataʿrifūnahāāyātihisayurīkumlillahil-ḥamduwaquli
And sayAll praise (be)to AllahHe will show youHis Signsand you will recognize themAnd your Lord is notAnd your Lord is notunawareof whatyou do
27:93
Basmala
طسٓمٓ
tta-seen-meem
Ta Seem Meem
28:1
تِلْكَءَايَـٰتُٱلْكِتَـٰبِٱلْمُبِينِ
l-mubīnil-kitābiāyātutil'ka
These(are the) Verses(of) the Bookthe clear
28:2
نَتْلُوا۟عَلَيْكَمِننَّبَإِمُوسَىٰوَفِرْعَوْنَبِٱلْحَقِّلِقَوْمٍۢيُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūnaliqawminbil-ḥaqiwafir'ʿawnamūsānaba-iminʿalaykanatlū
We reciteto youfrom(the) news(of) Musaand Firaunin truthfor a peoplewho believe
28:3
إِنَّفِرْعَوْنَعَلَافِىٱلْأَرْضِوَجَعَلَأَهْلَهَاشِيَعًۭايَسْتَضْعِفُطَآئِفَةًۭمِّنْهُمْيُذَبِّحُأَبْنَآءَهُمْوَيَسْتَحْىِۦنِسَآءَهُمْ ۚإِنَّهُۥكَانَمِنَٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
l-muf'sidīnaminakānainnahunisāahumwayastaḥyīabnāahumyudhabbiḥumin'humṭāifatanyastaḍʿifushiyaʿanahlahāwajaʿalal-arḍifīʿalāfir'ʿawnainna
IndeedFiraunexalted himselfinthe landand madeits people(into) sectsoppressinga groupamong themslaughteringtheir sonsand letting livetheir womenIndeed, hewasofthe corrupters
28:4
وَنُرِيدُأَننَّمُنَّعَلَىٱلَّذِينَٱسْتُضْعِفُوا۟فِىٱلْأَرْضِوَنَجْعَلَهُمْأَئِمَّةًۭوَنَجْعَلَهُمُٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ
l-wārithīnawanajʿalahumua-immatanwanajʿalahuml-arḍifīus'tuḍ'ʿifūalladhīnaʿalānamunnaanwanurīdu
And We wantedtobestow a favoruponthose whowere oppressedinthe landand make themleadersand make themthe inheritors
28:5
وَنُمَكِّنَلَهُمْفِىٱلْأَرْضِوَنُرِىَفِرْعَوْنَوَهَـٰمَـٰنَوَجُنُودَهُمَامِنْهُممَّاكَانُوا۟يَحْذَرُونَ
yaḥdharūnakānūmāmin'humwajunūdahumāwahāmānafir'ʿawnawanuriyal-arḍifīlahumwanumakkina
And [We] establishtheminthe landand showFiraunand Hamanand their hoststhrough themwhatthey werefearing
28:6
وَأَوْحَيْنَآإِلَىٰٓأُمِّمُوسَىٰٓأَنْأَرْضِعِيهِ ۖفَإِذَاخِفْتِعَلَيْهِفَأَلْقِيهِفِىٱلْيَمِّوَلَاتَخَافِىوَلَاتَحْزَنِىٓ ۖإِنَّارَآدُّوهُإِلَيْكِوَجَاعِلُوهُمِنَٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
l-mur'salīnaminawajāʿilūhuilaykirāddūhuinnātaḥzanīwalātakhāfīwalāl-yamifīfa-alqīhiʿalayhikhif'tifa-idhāarḍiʿīhianmūsāummiilāwa-awḥaynā
And We inspired[to](the) mother(of) MusathatSuckle himbut whenyou fearfor himthen cast himin(to)the riverand (do) notfearand (do) notgrieveIndeed, We(will) restore himto youand (will) make himofthe Messengers
28:7
فَٱلْتَقَطَهُۥٓءَالُفِرْعَوْنَلِيَكُونَلَهُمْعَدُوًّۭاوَحَزَنًا ۗإِنَّفِرْعَوْنَوَهَـٰمَـٰنَوَجُنُودَهُمَاكَانُوا۟خَـٰطِـِٔينَ
khāṭiīnakānūwajunūdahumāwahāmānafir'ʿawnainnawaḥazananʿaduwwanlahumliyakūnafir'ʿawnaālufal-taqaṭahu
Then picked him up(the) family(of) Firaunso that he might becometo theman enemyand a griefIndeedFiraunand Hamanand their hostsweresinners
28:8
وَقَالَتِٱمْرَأَتُفِرْعَوْنَقُرَّتُعَيْنٍۢلِّىوَلَكَ ۖلَاتَقْتُلُوهُعَسَىٰٓأَنيَنفَعَنَآأَوْنَتَّخِذَهُۥوَلَدًۭاوَهُمْلَايَشْعُرُونَ
yashʿurūnalāwahumwaladannattakhidhahuawyanfaʿanāanʿasātaqtulūhulāwalakalīʿayninqurratufir'ʿawnaim'ra-atuwaqālati
And said(the) wife(of) FiraunA comfort(of the) eyefor meand for you(Do) notkill himperhaps(that)he may benefit usorwe may take him(as) a sonAnd they(did) notperceive
28:9
وَأَصْبَحَفُؤَادُأُمِّمُوسَىٰفَـٰرِغًا ۖإِنكَادَتْلَتُبْدِىبِهِۦلَوْلَآأَنرَّبَطْنَاعَلَىٰقَلْبِهَالِتَكُونَمِنَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnaminalitakūnaqalbihāʿalārabaṭnāanlawlābihilatub'dīkādatinfārighanmūsāummifuāduwa-aṣbaḥa
And became(the) heart(of the) mother(of) MusaemptyThatshe was near(to) disclosingabout himif notthatWe strengthened[over]her heartso that she would beofthe believers
28:10
وَقَالَتْلِأُخْتِهِۦقُصِّيهِ ۖفَبَصُرَتْبِهِۦعَنجُنُبٍۢوَهُمْلَايَشْعُرُونَ
yashʿurūnalāwahumjunubinʿanbihifabaṣuratquṣṣīhili-ukh'tihiwaqālat
And she saidto his sisterFollow himSo she watchedhimfroma distancewhile they(did) notperceive
28:11
۞ وَحَرَّمْنَاعَلَيْهِٱلْمَرَاضِعَمِنقَبْلُفَقَالَتْهَلْأَدُلُّكُمْعَلَىٰٓأَهْلِبَيْتٍۢيَكْفُلُونَهُۥلَكُمْوَهُمْلَهُۥنَـٰصِحُونَ
nāṣiḥūnalahuwahumlakumyakfulūnahubaytinahliʿalāadullukumhalfaqālatqabluminl-marāḍiʿaʿalayhiwaḥarramnā
And We had forbiddenfor himthe wet nursesbeforebeforeso she saidShall Idirect youto(the) people(of) a housewho will rear himfor youwhile theyto him(will be) sincere
28:12
فَرَدَدْنَـٰهُإِلَىٰٓأُمِّهِۦكَىْتَقَرَّعَيْنُهَاوَلَاتَحْزَنَوَلِتَعْلَمَأَنَّوَعْدَٱللَّهِحَقٌّۭوَلَـٰكِنَّأَكْثَرَهُمْلَايَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnalāaktharahumwalākinnaḥaqqunl-lahiwaʿdaannawalitaʿlamataḥzanawalāʿaynuhātaqarrakayummihiilāfaradadnāhu
So We restored himtohis motherthatmight be comfortedher eyeand notshe may grieveand that she would knowthatthe Promise of Allahthe Promise of Allah(is) trueButmost of them(do) notknow
28:13
وَلَمَّابَلَغَأَشُدَّهُۥوَٱسْتَوَىٰٓءَاتَيْنَـٰهُحُكْمًۭاوَعِلْمًۭا ۚوَكَذَٰلِكَنَجْزِىٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
l-muḥ'sinīnanajzīwakadhālikawaʿil'manḥuk'manātaynāhuwa-is'tawāashuddahubalaghawalammā
And whenhe reachedhis full strengthand became matureWe bestowed upon himwisdomand knowledgeAnd thusWe rewardthe good-doers
28:14
وَدَخَلَٱلْمَدِينَةَعَلَىٰحِينِغَفْلَةٍۢمِّنْأَهْلِهَافَوَجَدَفِيهَارَجُلَيْنِيَقْتَتِلَانِهَـٰذَامِنشِيعَتِهِۦوَهَـٰذَامِنْعَدُوِّهِۦ ۖفَٱسْتَغَـٰثَهُٱلَّذِىمِنشِيعَتِهِۦعَلَىٱلَّذِىمِنْعَدُوِّهِۦفَوَكَزَهُۥمُوسَىٰفَقَضَىٰعَلَيْهِ ۖقَالَهَـٰذَامِنْعَمَلِٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ ۖإِنَّهُۥعَدُوٌّۭمُّضِلٌّۭمُّبِينٌۭ
mubīnunmuḍillunʿaduwwuninnahul-shayṭāniʿamaliminhādhāqālaʿalayhifaqaḍāmūsāfawakazahuʿaduwwihiminalladhīʿalāshīʿatihiminalladhīfa-is'taghāthahuʿaduwwihiminwahādhāshīʿatihiminhādhāyaqtatilānirajulaynifīhāfawajadaahlihāminghaflatinḥīniʿalāl-madīnatawadakhala
And he enteredthe cityata time(of) inattentionofits peopleand foundthereintwo menfighting each otherthisofhis partyand thisofhis enemyAnd called him for helpthe one who(was) fromhis partyagainstthe one who(was) fromhis enemyso Musa struck him with his fistso Musa struck him with his fistand killed himand killed himHe saidThis (is)of(the) deed(of) ShaitaanIndeed, he(is) an enemy one who misleadsclearly
28:15
قَالَرَبِّإِنِّىظَلَمْتُنَفْسِىفَٱغْفِرْلِىفَغَفَرَلَهُۥٓ ۚإِنَّهُۥهُوَٱلْغَفُورُٱلرَّحِيمُ
l-raḥīmul-ghafūruhuwainnahulahufaghafaralīfa-igh'firnafsīẓalamtuinnīrabbiqāla
He saidMy LordIndeed, I[I] have wrongedmy soulso forgive[for] meThen He forgave[for] himIndeed HeHe (is)the Oft-Forgivingthe Most Merciful
28:16
قَالَرَبِّبِمَآأَنْعَمْتَعَلَىَّفَلَنْأَكُونَظَهِيرًۭالِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ
lil'muj'rimīnaẓahīranakūnafalanʿalayyaanʿamtabimārabbiqāla
He saidMy LordBecauseYou have favored[on] meso notI will bea supporter(of) the criminals
28:17
فَأَصْبَحَفِىٱلْمَدِينَةِخَآئِفًۭايَتَرَقَّبُفَإِذَاٱلَّذِىٱسْتَنصَرَهُۥبِٱلْأَمْسِيَسْتَصْرِخُهُۥ ۚقَالَلَهُۥمُوسَىٰٓإِنَّكَلَغَوِىٌّۭمُّبِينٌۭ
mubīnunlaghawiyyuninnakamūsālahuqālayastaṣrikhuhubil-amsiis'tanṣarahualladhīfa-idhāyataraqqabukhāifanl-madīnatifīfa-aṣbaḥa
In the morning he wasinthe cityfearful(and) was vigilantwhen beholdThe one whosought his helpthe previous daycried out to him for helpSaidto himMusaIndeed, you(are) surely a deviatorclear
28:18
فَلَمَّآأَنْأَرَادَأَنيَبْطِشَبِٱلَّذِىهُوَعَدُوٌّۭلَّهُمَاقَالَيَـٰمُوسَىٰٓأَتُرِيدُأَنتَقْتُلَنِىكَمَاقَتَلْتَنَفْسًۢابِٱلْأَمْسِ ۖإِنتُرِيدُإِلَّآأَنتَكُونَجَبَّارًۭافِىٱلْأَرْضِوَمَاتُرِيدُأَنتَكُونَمِنَٱلْمُصْلِحِينَ
l-muṣ'liḥīnaminatakūnaanturīduwamāl-arḍifījabbārantakūnaanillāturīduinbil-amsinafsanqataltakamātaqtulanīanaturīduyāmūsāqālalahumāʿaduwwunhuwabi-alladhīyabṭishaanarādaanfalammā
Then when[that]he wantedtostrikethe one who[he] (was)an enemyto both of themhe saidO MusaDo you intendtokill measyou killeda personyesterdayNotyou wantbutthatyou becomea tyrantinthe earthand notyou wantthatyou beofthe reformers
28:19
وَجَآءَرَجُلٌۭمِّنْأَقْصَاٱلْمَدِينَةِيَسْعَىٰقَالَيَـٰمُوسَىٰٓإِنَّٱلْمَلَأَيَأْتَمِرُونَبِكَلِيَقْتُلُوكَفَٱخْرُجْإِنِّىلَكَمِنَٱلنَّـٰصِحِينَ
l-nāṣiḥīnaminalakainnīfa-ukh'rujliyaqtulūkabikayatamirūnal-mala-ainnayāmūsāqālayasʿāl-madīnatiaqṣāminrajulunwajāa
And camea manfrom(the) farthest end(of) the cityrunningHe saidO MusaIndeedthe chiefsare taking counselabout youto kill youso leaveindeed, I amto youofthe sincere advisors
28:20
فَخَرَجَمِنْهَاخَآئِفًۭايَتَرَقَّبُ ۖقَالَرَبِّنَجِّنِىمِنَٱلْقَوْمِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnal-qawmiminanajjinīrabbiqālayataraqqabukhāifanmin'hāfakharaja
So he leftfrom itfearing(and) vigilantHe saidMy LordSave mefromthe people the wrongdoers
28:21
وَلَمَّاتَوَجَّهَتِلْقَآءَمَدْيَنَقَالَعَسَىٰرَبِّىٓأَنيَهْدِيَنِىسَوَآءَٱلسَّبِيلِ
l-sabīlisawāayahdiyanīanrabbīʿasāqālamadyanatil'qāatawajjahawalammā
And whenhe turned his facetowardsMadyanhe saidPerhapsmy Lord[that]will guide me(to the) soundway
28:22
وَلَمَّاوَرَدَمَآءَمَدْيَنَوَجَدَعَلَيْهِأُمَّةًۭمِّنَٱلنَّاسِيَسْقُونَوَوَجَدَمِندُونِهِمُٱمْرَأَتَيْنِتَذُودَانِ ۖقَالَمَاخَطْبُكُمَا ۖقَالَتَالَانَسْقِىحَتَّىٰيُصْدِرَٱلرِّعَآءُ ۖوَأَبُونَاشَيْخٌۭكَبِيرٌۭ
kabīrunshaykhunwa-abūnāl-riʿāuyuṣ'diraḥattānasqīlāqālatākhaṭbukumāmāqālatadhūdāniim'ra-ataynidūnihimuminwawajadayasqūnal-nāsiminaummatanʿalayhiwajadamadyanamāawaradawalammā
And whenhe came(to the) water(of) Madyanhe foundon ita groupofmenwateringand he foundbesides thembesides themtwo womenkeeping backHe saidWhat(is the) matter with both of youThey saidWe cannot waterWe cannot wateruntiltake awaythe shepherdsand our father(is) a very old man(is) a very old man
28:23
فَسَقَىٰلَهُمَاثُمَّتَوَلَّىٰٓإِلَىٱلظِّلِّفَقَالَرَبِّإِنِّىلِمَآأَنزَلْتَإِلَىَّمِنْخَيْرٍۢفَقِيرٌۭ
faqīrunkhayrinminilayyaanzaltalimāinnīrabbifaqālal-ẓiliilātawallāthummalahumāfasaqā
So he wateredfor themThenhe turned backtothe shadeand saidMy LordIndeed, I amof whateverYou sendto meofgood(in) need
28:24
فَجَآءَتْهُإِحْدَىٰهُمَاتَمْشِىعَلَىٱسْتِحْيَآءٍۢقَالَتْإِنَّأَبِىيَدْعُوكَلِيَجْزِيَكَأَجْرَمَاسَقَيْتَلَنَا ۚفَلَمَّاجَآءَهُۥوَقَصَّعَلَيْهِٱلْقَصَصَقَالَلَاتَخَفْ ۖنَجَوْتَمِنَٱلْقَوْمِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnal-qawmiminanajawtatakhaflāqālal-qaṣaṣaʿalayhiwaqaṣṣajāahufalammālanāsaqaytamāajraliyajziyakayadʿūkaabīinnaqālatis'tiḥ'yāinʿalātamshīiḥ'dāhumāfajāathu
Then came to himone of the two womenwalkingwithshynessShe saidIndeedmy fathercalls youthat he may reward you(the) reward(for) whatyou wateredfor usSo whenhe came to himand narratedto himthe storyhe said(Do) notfearYou have escapedfromthe people the wrongdoers
28:25
قَالَتْإِحْدَىٰهُمَايَـٰٓأَبَتِٱسْتَـْٔجِرْهُ ۖإِنَّخَيْرَمَنِٱسْتَـْٔجَرْتَٱلْقَوِىُّٱلْأَمِينُ
l-amīnul-qawiyuis'tajartamanikhayrainnais'tajir'huyāabatiiḥ'dāhumāqālat
Saidone of themO my fatherHire himIndeed(the) bestwhomyou (can) hire(is) the strongthe trustworthy
28:26
قَالَإِنِّىٓأُرِيدُأَنْأُنكِحَكَإِحْدَىٱبْنَتَىَّهَـٰتَيْنِعَلَىٰٓأَنتَأْجُرَنِىثَمَـٰنِىَحِجَجٍۢ ۖفَإِنْأَتْمَمْتَعَشْرًۭافَمِنْعِندِكَ ۖوَمَآأُرِيدُأَنْأَشُقَّعَلَيْكَ ۚسَتَجِدُنِىٓإِنشَآءَٱللَّهُمِنَٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
l-ṣāliḥīnaminal-lahushāainsatajidunīʿalaykaashuqqaanurīduwamāʿindikafaminʿashranatmamtafa-inḥijajinthamāniyatajuranīanʿalāhātayniib'natayyaiḥ'dāunkiḥakaanurīduinnīqāla
He saidIndeed, I[I] wishtomarry you toone(of) my daughters(of) these twoonthatyou serve me(for) eightyearsbut ifyou completetenthen fromyouAnd notI wishtomake it difficultfor youYou will find meifAllah willsAllah willsofthe righteous
28:27
قَالَذَٰلِكَبَيْنِىوَبَيْنَكَ ۖأَيَّمَاٱلْأَجَلَيْنِقَضَيْتُفَلَاعُدْوَٰنَعَلَىَّ ۖوَٱللَّهُعَلَىٰمَانَقُولُوَكِيلٌۭ
wakīlunnaqūlumāʿalāwal-lahuʿalayyaʿud'wānafalāqaḍaytul-ajalayniayyamāwabaynakabaynīdhālikaqāla
He saidThat(is) between meand between youWhichever(of) the two termsI completethen noinjusticeto meand Allahoverwhatwe say(is) a Witness
28:28
۞ فَلَمَّاقَضَىٰمُوسَىٱلْأَجَلَوَسَارَبِأَهْلِهِۦٓءَانَسَمِنجَانِبِٱلطُّورِنَارًۭاقَالَلِأَهْلِهِٱمْكُثُوٓا۟إِنِّىٓءَانَسْتُنَارًۭالَّعَلِّىٓءَاتِيكُممِّنْهَابِخَبَرٍأَوْجَذْوَةٍۢمِّنَٱلنَّارِلَعَلَّكُمْتَصْطَلُونَ
taṣṭalūnalaʿallakuml-nāriminajadhwatinawbikhabarinmin'hāātīkumlaʿallīnāranānastuinnīum'kuthūli-ahlihiqālanāranl-ṭūrijānibiminānasabi-ahlihiwasāral-ajalamūsāqaḍāfalammā
Then whenMusa fulfilledMusa fulfilledthe termand was travelingwith his familyhe sawin(the) direction(of) Mount Tura fireHe saidto his familyStay hereindeed, I[I] perceivea firePerhapsI will bring youfrom theresome informationora burning woodfromthe fireso that you maywarm yourselves
28:29
فَلَمَّآأَتَىٰهَانُودِىَمِنشَـٰطِئِٱلْوَادِٱلْأَيْمَنِفِىٱلْبُقْعَةِٱلْمُبَـٰرَكَةِمِنَٱلشَّجَرَةِأَنيَـٰمُوسَىٰٓإِنِّىٓأَنَاٱللَّهُرَبُّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnarabbul-lahuanāinnīyāmūsāanl-shajaratiminal-mubārakatil-buq'ʿatifīl-aymanil-wādishāṭi-iminnūdiyaatāhāfalammā
But whenhe came (to) ithe was calledfrom(the) side(of) the valley the rightinthe place evenblessedfromthe treethatO MusaIndeedI AmAllah(the) Lord(of) the worlds
28:30
وَأَنْأَلْقِعَصَاكَ ۖفَلَمَّارَءَاهَاتَهْتَزُّكَأَنَّهَاجَآنٌّۭوَلَّىٰمُدْبِرًۭاوَلَمْيُعَقِّبْ ۚيَـٰمُوسَىٰٓأَقْبِلْوَلَاتَخَفْ ۖإِنَّكَمِنَٱلْـَٔامِنِينَ
l-āminīnaminainnakatakhafwalāaqbilyāmūsāyuʿaqqibwalammud'biranwallājānnunka-annahātahtazzuraāhāfalammāʿaṣākaalqiwa-an
And [that]throwyour staffBut whenhe saw itmovingas if it(were) a snakehe turned(in) flightand (did) notreturnO MusaDraw nearand (do) notfearIndeed, you(are) ofthe secure
28:31
ٱسْلُكْيَدَكَفِىجَيْبِكَتَخْرُجْبَيْضَآءَمِنْغَيْرِسُوٓءٍۢوَٱضْمُمْإِلَيْكَجَنَاحَكَمِنَٱلرَّهْبِ ۖفَذَٰنِكَبُرْهَـٰنَانِمِنرَّبِّكَإِلَىٰفِرْعَوْنَوَمَلَإِي۟هِۦٓ ۚإِنَّهُمْكَانُوا۟قَوْمًۭافَـٰسِقِينَ
fāsiqīnaqawmankānūinnahumwamala-ihifir'ʿawnailārabbikaminbur'hānānifadhānikal-rahbiminajanāḥakailaykawa-uḍ'mumsūinghayriminbayḍāatakhrujjaybikafīyadakaus'luk
Insertyour handinyour bosomit will come forthwhitewithoutwithoutany harmAnd drawto yourselvesyour handagainstfearSo these(are) two evidencesfromyour LordtoFiraunand his chiefsIndeed, theyarea peopledefiantly disobedient
28:32
قَالَرَبِّإِنِّىقَتَلْتُمِنْهُمْنَفْسًۭافَأَخَافُأَنيَقْتُلُونِ
yaqtulūnianfa-akhāfunafsanmin'humqataltuinnīrabbiqāla
He saidMy LordIndeedI killedof thema manand I fearthatthey will kill me
28:33
وَأَخِىهَـٰرُونُهُوَأَفْصَحُمِنِّىلِسَانًۭافَأَرْسِلْهُمَعِىَرِدْءًۭايُصَدِّقُنِىٓ ۖإِنِّىٓأَخَافُأَنيُكَذِّبُونِ
yukadhibūnianakhāfuinnīyuṣaddiqunīrid'anmaʿiyafa-arsil'hulisānanminnīafṣaḥuhuwahārūnuwa-akhī
And my brotherHarunhe(is) more eloquentthan me(in) speechso send himwith me(as) a helperwho will confirm meIndeedI fearthatthey will deny me
28:34
قَالَسَنَشُدُّعَضُدَكَبِأَخِيكَوَنَجْعَلُلَكُمَاسُلْطَـٰنًۭافَلَايَصِلُونَإِلَيْكُمَا ۚبِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآأَنتُمَاوَمَنِٱتَّبَعَكُمَاٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ
l-ghālibūnaittabaʿakumāwamaniantumābiāyātināilaykumāyaṣilūnafalāsul'ṭānanlakumāwanajʿalubi-akhīkaʿaḍudakasanashudduqāla
He saidWe will strengthenyour armthrough your brotherand We will makefor both of youan authorityso notthey will reachto both of youThrough Our Signsyou twoand (those) whofollow you(will) be the dominant
28:35
فَلَمَّاجَآءَهُممُّوسَىٰبِـَٔايَـٰتِنَابَيِّنَـٰتٍۢقَالُوا۟مَاهَـٰذَآإِلَّاسِحْرٌۭمُّفْتَرًۭىوَمَاسَمِعْنَابِهَـٰذَافِىٓءَابَآئِنَاٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnaābāināfībihādhāsamiʿ'nāwamāmuf'taransiḥ'runillāhādhāmāqālūbayyinātinbiāyātināmūsājāahumfalammā
But whencame to themMusawith Our Signsclearthey saidNot(is) thisexcepta magicinventedand notwe heardof thisamongour forefathersour forefathers
28:36
وَقَالَمُوسَىٰرَبِّىٓأَعْلَمُبِمَنجَآءَبِٱلْهُدَىٰمِنْعِندِهِۦوَمَنتَكُونُلَهُۥعَـٰقِبَةُٱلدَّارِ ۖإِنَّهُۥلَايُفْلِحُٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ
l-ẓālimūnayuf'liḥulāinnahul-dāriʿāqibatulahutakūnuwamanʿindihiminbil-hudājāabimanaʿlamurabbīmūsāwaqāla
And Musa saidAnd Musa saidMy Lordknows bestof whohas comewith [the] guidancefrom Himfrom Himand who will befor himthe good end in the Hereafterthe good end in the HereafterIndeednotwill be successfulthe wrongdoers
28:37
وَقَالَفِرْعَوْنُيَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلْمَلَأُمَاعَلِمْتُلَكُممِّنْإِلَـٰهٍغَيْرِىفَأَوْقِدْلِىيَـٰهَـٰمَـٰنُعَلَىٱلطِّينِفَٱجْعَللِّىصَرْحًۭالَّعَلِّىٓأَطَّلِعُإِلَىٰٓإِلَـٰهِمُوسَىٰوَإِنِّىلَأَظُنُّهُۥمِنَٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ
l-kādhibīnaminala-aẓunnuhuwa-innīmūsāilāhiilāaṭṭaliʿulaʿallīṣarḥanlīfa-ij'ʿall-ṭīniʿalāyāhāmānulīfa-awqidghayrīilāhinminlakumʿalim'tumāl-mala-uyāayyuhāfir'ʿawnuwaqāla
And Firaun saidAnd Firaun saidO chiefsO chiefsNotI knowfor youanygodother than meSo kindlefor meO HamanUponthe clayand makefor mea lofty towerso that [I]I may lookat(the) God(of) MusaAnd indeed, I[I] think that he(is) ofthe liars
28:38
وَٱسْتَكْبَرَهُوَوَجُنُودُهُۥفِىٱلْأَرْضِبِغَيْرِٱلْحَقِّوَظَنُّوٓا۟أَنَّهُمْإِلَيْنَالَايُرْجَعُونَ
yur'jaʿūnalāilaynāannahumwaẓannūl-ḥaqibighayril-arḍifīwajunūduhuhuwawa-is'takbara
And he was arrogantAnd he was arrogantand his hostsinthe landwithoutrightand they thoughtthat theyto Usnotwill be returned
28:39
فَأَخَذْنَـٰهُوَجُنُودَهُۥفَنَبَذْنَـٰهُمْفِىٱلْيَمِّ ۖفَٱنظُرْكَيْفَكَانَعَـٰقِبَةُٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnaʿāqibatukānakayfafa-unẓurl-yamifīfanabadhnāhumwajunūdahufa-akhadhnāhu
So We seized himand his hostsand We threw theminthe seaSo seehowwas(the) end(of) the wrongdoers
28:40
وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْأَئِمَّةًۭيَدْعُونَإِلَىٱلنَّارِ ۖوَيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِلَايُنصَرُونَ
yunṣarūnalāl-qiyāmatiwayawmal-nāriilāyadʿūnaa-immatanwajaʿalnāhum
And We made themleadersinvitingtothe Fireand (on the) Day(of) the Resurrectionnotthey will be helped
28:41
وَأَتْبَعْنَـٰهُمْفِىهَـٰذِهِٱلدُّنْيَالَعْنَةًۭ ۖوَيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِهُممِّنَٱلْمَقْبُوحِينَ
l-maqbūḥīnaminahuml-qiyāmatiwayawmalaʿnatanl-dun'yāhādhihifīwa-atbaʿnāhum
And We caused to follow theminthisworlda curseand (on the) Day(of) the Resurrectionthey(will be) ofthe despised
28:42
وَلَقَدْءَاتَيْنَامُوسَىٱلْكِتَـٰبَمِنۢبَعْدِمَآأَهْلَكْنَاٱلْقُرُونَٱلْأُولَىٰبَصَآئِرَلِلنَّاسِوَهُدًۭىوَرَحْمَةًۭلَّعَلَّهُمْيَتَذَكَّرُونَ
yatadhakkarūnalaʿallahumwaraḥmatanwahudanlilnnāsibaṣāiral-ūlāl-qurūnaahlaknāmābaʿdiminl-kitābamūsāātaynāwalaqad
And verilyWe gaveMusathe Scriptureafter [what]after [what]after [what]We had destroyedthe generationsformer(as) an enlightenmentfor the mankindand a guidanceand mercythat they mayremember
28:43
وَمَاكُنتَبِجَانِبِٱلْغَرْبِىِّإِذْقَضَيْنَآإِلَىٰمُوسَىٱلْأَمْرَوَمَاكُنتَمِنَٱلشَّـٰهِدِينَ
l-shāhidīnaminakuntawamāl-amramūsāilāqaḍaynāidhl-gharbiyibijānibikuntawamā
And notyou wereon (the) sidewesternwhenWe decreedtoMusathe Commandmentand notyou wereamongthe witnesses
28:44
وَلَـٰكِنَّآأَنشَأْنَاقُرُونًۭافَتَطَاوَلَعَلَيْهِمُٱلْعُمُرُ ۚوَمَاكُنتَثَاوِيًۭافِىٓأَهْلِمَدْيَنَتَتْلُوا۟عَلَيْهِمْءَايَـٰتِنَاوَلَـٰكِنَّاكُنَّامُرْسِلِينَ
mur'silīnakunnāwalākinnāāyātināʿalayhimtatlūmadyanaahlifīthāwiyankuntawamāl-ʿumuruʿalayhimufataṭāwalaqurūnananshanāwalākinnā
But We[We] producedgenerationsand prolongedfor themthe lifeAnd notyou werea dwelleramong(the) people(of) Madyanrecitingto themOur Versesbut We[We] werethe Senders
28:45
وَمَاكُنتَبِجَانِبِٱلطُّورِإِذْنَادَيْنَاوَلَـٰكِنرَّحْمَةًۭمِّنرَّبِّكَلِتُنذِرَقَوْمًۭامَّآأَتَىٰهُممِّننَّذِيرٍۢمِّنقَبْلِكَلَعَلَّهُمْيَتَذَكَّرُونَ
yatadhakkarūnalaʿallahumqablikaminnadhīrinminatāhummāqawmanlitundhirarabbikaminraḥmatanwalākinnādaynāidhl-ṭūribijānibikuntawamā
And notyou wereat (the) side(of) the TurwhenWe calledBut(as) a mercyfromyour Lordso that you warna peoplenot(had) come to themanywarnerbefore youbefore youso that they mayremember
28:46
وَلَوْلَآأَنتُصِيبَهُممُّصِيبَةٌۢبِمَاقَدَّمَتْأَيْدِيهِمْفَيَقُولُوا۟رَبَّنَالَوْلَآأَرْسَلْتَإِلَيْنَارَسُولًۭافَنَتَّبِعَءَايَـٰتِكَوَنَكُونَمِنَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnaminawanakūnaāyātikafanattabiʿarasūlanilaynāarsaltalawlārabbanāfayaqūlūaydīhimqaddamatbimāmuṣībatuntuṣībahumanwalawlā
And if not[that]struck thema disasterfor whathad sent forththeir handsand they would sayOur LordWhy notYou sentto usa Messengerso we (could have) followedYour Versesand we (would) have beenofthe believers
28:47
فَلَمَّاجَآءَهُمُٱلْحَقُّمِنْعِندِنَاقَالُوا۟لَوْلَآأُوتِىَمِثْلَمَآأُوتِىَمُوسَىٰٓ ۚأَوَلَمْيَكْفُرُوا۟بِمَآأُوتِىَمُوسَىٰمِنقَبْلُ ۖقَالُوا۟سِحْرَانِتَظَـٰهَرَاوَقَالُوٓا۟إِنَّابِكُلٍّۢكَـٰفِرُونَ
kāfirūnabikullininnāwaqālūtaẓāharāsiḥ'rāniqālūqabluminmūsāūtiyabimāyakfurūawalammūsāūtiyamāmith'laūtiyalawlāqālūʿindināminl-ḥaqujāahumufalammā
But whencame to themthe truthfrom Usfrom Usthey saidWhy nothe was given(the) like(of) whatwas given(to) MusaDid notthey disbelievein whatwas given(to) MusabeforebeforeThey saidTwo magic (works)supporting each otherAnd they saidIndeed, wein all(are) disbelievers
28:48
قُلْفَأْتُوا۟بِكِتَـٰبٍۢمِّنْعِندِٱللَّهِهُوَأَهْدَىٰمِنْهُمَآأَتَّبِعْهُإِنكُنتُمْصَـٰدِقِينَ
ṣādiqīnakuntuminattabiʿ'humin'humāahdāhuwal-lahiʿindiminbikitābinfatūqul
SayThen bringa Bookfrom Allahfrom Allahfrom Allahwhich(is) a better guidethan both of themthat I may follow itifyou aretruthful
28:49
فَإِنلَّمْيَسْتَجِيبُوا۟لَكَفَٱعْلَمْأَنَّمَايَتَّبِعُونَأَهْوَآءَهُمْ ۚوَمَنْأَضَلُّمِمَّنِٱتَّبَعَهَوَىٰهُبِغَيْرِهُدًۭىمِّنَٱللَّهِ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَلَايَهْدِىٱلْقَوْمَٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnal-qawmayahdīlāl-lahainnal-lahiminahudanbighayrihawāhuittabaʿamimmaniaḍalluwamanahwāahumyattabiʿūnaannamāfa-iʿ'lamlakayastajībūlamfa-in
But ifnotthey respondto youthen knowthat onlythey followtheir desiresAnd who(is) more astraythan (one) whofollowshis own desirewithoutguidancefromAllahIndeedAllah(does) notguidethe people the wrongdoers
28:50
۞ وَلَقَدْوَصَّلْنَالَهُمُٱلْقَوْلَلَعَلَّهُمْيَتَذَكَّرُونَ
yatadhakkarūnalaʿallahuml-qawlalahumuwaṣṣalnāwalaqad
And indeedWe have conveyedto themthe Wordso that they mayremember
28:51
ٱلَّذِينَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمُٱلْكِتَـٰبَمِنقَبْلِهِۦهُمبِهِۦيُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūnabihihumqablihiminl-kitābaātaynāhumualladhīna
Those whoWe gave themthe Scripturebefore itbefore ittheyin itbelieve
28:52
وَإِذَايُتْلَىٰعَلَيْهِمْقَالُوٓا۟ءَامَنَّابِهِۦٓإِنَّهُٱلْحَقُّمِنرَّبِّنَآإِنَّاكُنَّامِنقَبْلِهِۦمُسْلِمِينَ
mus'limīnaqablihiminkunnāinnārabbināminl-ḥaquinnahubihiāmannāqālūʿalayhimyut'lāwa-idhā
And whenit is recitedto themthey sayWe believein itIndeed, it(is) the truthfromour LordIndeed, we[we] werebefore itbefore itMuslims
28:53
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَيُؤْتَوْنَأَجْرَهُممَّرَّتَيْنِبِمَاصَبَرُوا۟وَيَدْرَءُونَبِٱلْحَسَنَةِٱلسَّيِّئَةَوَمِمَّارَزَقْنَـٰهُمْيُنفِقُونَ
yunfiqūnarazaqnāhumwamimmāl-sayi-atabil-ḥasanatiwayadraūnaṣabarūbimāmarratayniajrahumyu'tawnaulāika
Thosewill be giventheir rewardtwicebecausethey are patientand they repelwith good the eviland from whatWe have provided themthey spend
28:54
وَإِذَاسَمِعُوا۟ٱللَّغْوَأَعْرَضُوا۟عَنْهُوَقَالُوا۟لَنَآأَعْمَـٰلُنَاوَلَكُمْأَعْمَـٰلُكُمْسَلَـٰمٌعَلَيْكُمْلَانَبْتَغِىٱلْجَـٰهِلِينَ
l-jāhilīnanabtaghīlāʿalaykumsalāmunaʿmālukumwalakumaʿmālunālanāwaqālūʿanhuaʿraḍūl-laghwasamiʿūwa-idhā
And whenthey hearvain talkthey turn awayfrom itand sayFor usour deedsand for youyour deedsPeace (be)on younotwe seekthe ignorant
28:55
إِنَّكَلَاتَهْدِىمَنْأَحْبَبْتَوَلَـٰكِنَّٱللَّهَيَهْدِىمَنيَشَآءُ ۚوَهُوَأَعْلَمُبِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ
bil-muh'tadīnaaʿlamuwahuwayashāumanyahdīl-lahawalākinnaaḥbabtamantahdīlāinnaka
Indeed, you(can) notguidewhomyou lovebutAllahguideswhomHe willsAnd He(is) most knowing(of) the guided ones
28:56
وَقَالُوٓا۟إِننَّتَّبِعِٱلْهُدَىٰمَعَكَنُتَخَطَّفْمِنْأَرْضِنَآ ۚأَوَلَمْنُمَكِّنلَّهُمْحَرَمًاءَامِنًۭايُجْبَىٰٓإِلَيْهِثَمَرَٰتُكُلِّشَىْءٍۢرِّزْقًۭامِّنلَّدُنَّاوَلَـٰكِنَّأَكْثَرَهُمْلَايَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnalāaktharahumwalākinnaladunnāminriz'qanshayinkullithamarātuilayhiyuj'bāāminanḥaramanlahumnumakkinawalamarḍināminnutakhaṭṭafmaʿakal-hudānattabiʿiinwaqālū
And they sayIfwe followthe guidancewith youwe would be sweptfromour landHave notWe establishedfor thema sanctuarysecureare broughtto itfruits(of) allthingsa provisionfromUsButmost of them(do) notknow
28:57
وَكَمْأَهْلَكْنَامِنقَرْيَةٍۭبَطِرَتْمَعِيشَتَهَا ۖفَتِلْكَمَسَـٰكِنُهُمْلَمْتُسْكَنمِّنۢبَعْدِهِمْإِلَّاقَلِيلًۭا ۖوَكُنَّانَحْنُٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ
l-wārithīnanaḥnuwakunnāqalīlanillābaʿdihimmintus'kanlammasākinuhumfatil'kamaʿīshatahābaṭiratqaryatinminahlaknāwakam
And how manyWe have destroyedofa townwhich exulted(in) its means of livelihoodAnd these(are) their dwellingsnothave been inhabitedafter themafter themexcepta littleAnd indeed, [We]We(are) the inheritors
28:58
وَمَاكَانَرَبُّكَمُهْلِكَٱلْقُرَىٰحَتَّىٰيَبْعَثَفِىٓأُمِّهَارَسُولًۭايَتْلُوا۟عَلَيْهِمْءَايَـٰتِنَا ۚوَمَاكُنَّامُهْلِكِىٱلْقُرَىٰٓإِلَّاوَأَهْلُهَاظَـٰلِمُونَ
ẓālimūnawa-ahluhāillāl-qurāmuh'likīkunnāwamāāyātināʿalayhimyatlūrasūlanummihāfīyabʿathaḥattāl-qurāmuh'likarabbukakānawamā
And notwasyour Lord(the) one to destroythe townsuntilHe (had) sentintheir mother (town)a Messengerrecitingto themOur VersesAnd notWe would be(the) one to destroythe townsexceptwhile their people(were) wrongdoers
28:59
وَمَآأُوتِيتُممِّنشَىْءٍۢفَمَتَـٰعُٱلْحَيَوٰةِٱلدُّنْيَاوَزِينَتُهَا ۚوَمَاعِندَٱللَّهِخَيْرٌۭوَأَبْقَىٰٓ ۚأَفَلَاتَعْقِلُونَ
taʿqilūnaafalāwa-abqākhayrunl-lahiʿindawamāwazīnatuhāl-dun'yāl-ḥayatifamatāʿushayinminūtītumwamā
And whateveryou have been givenfromthings(is) an enjoyment(of the) life(of) the worldand its adornmentAnd what(is) withAllah(is) betterand more lastingSo (will) notyou use intellect
28:60
أَفَمَنوَعَدْنَـٰهُوَعْدًاحَسَنًۭافَهُوَلَـٰقِيهِكَمَنمَّتَّعْنَـٰهُمَتَـٰعَٱلْحَيَوٰةِٱلدُّنْيَاثُمَّهُوَيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِمِنَٱلْمُحْضَرِينَ
l-muḥ'ḍarīnaminal-qiyāmatiyawmahuwathummal-dun'yāl-ḥayatimatāʿamattaʿnāhukamanlāqīhifahuwaḥasananwaʿdanwaʿadnāhuafaman
Then is (he) whomWe have promised hima promisegoodand he(will) meet itlike (the one) whomWe provided himenjoyment(of the) life(of) the worldthenhe(on the) Day(of) the Resurrection(will be) amongthose presented
28:61
وَيَوْمَيُنَادِيهِمْفَيَقُولُأَيْنَشُرَكَآءِىَٱلَّذِينَكُنتُمْتَزْعُمُونَ
tazʿumūnakuntumalladhīnashurakāiyaaynafayaqūluyunādīhimwayawma
And (the) DayHe will call themand sayWhere(are) My partnerswhomyou used (to)claim
28:62
قَالَٱلَّذِينَحَقَّعَلَيْهِمُٱلْقَوْلُرَبَّنَاهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِٱلَّذِينَأَغْوَيْنَآأَغْوَيْنَـٰهُمْكَمَاغَوَيْنَا ۖتَبَرَّأْنَآإِلَيْكَ ۖمَاكَانُوٓا۟إِيَّانَايَعْبُدُونَ
yaʿbudūnaiyyānākānūmāilaykatabarranāghawaynākamāaghwaynāhumaghwaynāalladhīnahāulāirabbanāl-qawluʿalayhimuḥaqqaalladhīnaqāla
(Will) saythose (has) come trueagainst whomthe WordOur LordThese(are) those whomwe led astrayWe led them astrayaswe were astrayWe declare our innocencebefore YouNotthey used (to)worship usworship us
28:63
وَقِيلَٱدْعُوا۟شُرَكَآءَكُمْفَدَعَوْهُمْفَلَمْيَسْتَجِيبُوا۟لَهُمْوَرَأَوُا۟ٱلْعَذَابَ ۚلَوْأَنَّهُمْكَانُوا۟يَهْتَدُونَ
yahtadūnakānūannahumlawl-ʿadhābawara-awūlahumyastajībūfalamfadaʿawhumshurakāakumid'ʿūwaqīla
And it will be saidCallyour partnersAnd they will call thembut notthey will respondto themand they will seethe punishmentIf only[that] theyhad beenguided
28:64
وَيَوْمَيُنَادِيهِمْفَيَقُولُمَاذَآأَجَبْتُمُٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
l-mur'salīnaajabtumumādhāfayaqūluyunādīhimwayawma
And (the) DayHe will call themand sayWhatdid you answerthe Messengers
28:65
فَعَمِيَتْعَلَيْهِمُٱلْأَنۢبَآءُيَوْمَئِذٍۢفَهُمْلَايَتَسَآءَلُونَ
yatasāalūnalāfahumyawma-idhinl-anbāuʿalayhimufaʿamiyat
But (will) be obscureto themthe informationthat dayso theywill not ask one anotherwill not ask one another
28:66
فَأَمَّامَنتَابَوَءَامَنَوَعَمِلَصَـٰلِحًۭافَعَسَىٰٓأَنيَكُونَمِنَٱلْمُفْلِحِينَ
l-muf'liḥīnaminayakūnaanfaʿasāṣāliḥanwaʿamilawaāmanatābamanfa-ammā
But as for(him) whorepentedand believedand didrighteousnessthen perhaps[that]he will beofthe successful ones
28:67
وَرَبُّكَيَخْلُقُمَايَشَآءُوَيَخْتَارُ ۗمَاكَانَلَهُمُٱلْخِيَرَةُ ۚسُبْحَـٰنَٱللَّهِوَتَعَـٰلَىٰعَمَّايُشْرِكُونَ
yush'rikūnaʿammāwataʿālāl-lahisub'ḥānal-khiyaratulahumukānamāwayakhtāruyashāumāyakhluquwarabbuka
And your LordcreateswhatHe willsand choosesNotthey havefor themthe choiceGlory be(to) Allahand High is Heabove whatthey associate (with Him)
28:68
وَرَبُّكَيَعْلَمُمَاتُكِنُّصُدُورُهُمْوَمَايُعْلِنُونَ
yuʿ'linūnawamāṣudūruhumtukinnumāyaʿlamuwarabbuka
And your Lordknowswhatconcealstheir breastsand whatthey declare
28:69
وَهُوَٱللَّهُلَآإِلَـٰهَإِلَّاهُوَ ۖلَهُٱلْحَمْدُفِىٱلْأُولَىٰوَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۖوَلَهُٱلْحُكْمُوَإِلَيْهِتُرْجَعُونَ
tur'jaʿūnawa-ilayhil-ḥuk'muwalahuwal-ākhiratil-ūlāfīl-ḥamdulahuhuwaillāilāhalāl-lahuwahuwa
And He(is) Allah(there is) nogodbutHeTo Him(are due) all praisesinthe firstand the lastAnd for Him(is) the Decisionand to Himyou will be returned
28:70
قُلْأَرَءَيْتُمْإِنجَعَلَٱللَّهُعَلَيْكُمُٱلَّيْلَسَرْمَدًاإِلَىٰيَوْمِٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِمَنْإِلَـٰهٌغَيْرُٱللَّهِيَأْتِيكُمبِضِيَآءٍ ۖأَفَلَاتَسْمَعُونَ
tasmaʿūnaafalābiḍiyāinyatīkuml-lahighayruilāhunmanl-qiyāmatiyawmiilāsarmadanal-laylaʿalaykumul-lahujaʿalainara-aytumqul
SayHave you seenifAllah madeAllah madefor youthe nightcontinuoustill(the) Day(of) the Resurrectionwho(is the) godbesidesAllahwho could bring youlightThen will notyou hear
28:71
قُلْأَرَءَيْتُمْإِنجَعَلَٱللَّهُعَلَيْكُمُٱلنَّهَارَسَرْمَدًاإِلَىٰيَوْمِٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِمَنْإِلَـٰهٌغَيْرُٱللَّهِيَأْتِيكُمبِلَيْلٍۢتَسْكُنُونَفِيهِ ۖأَفَلَاتُبْصِرُونَ
tub'ṣirūnaafalāfīhitaskunūnabilaylinyatīkuml-lahighayruilāhunmanl-qiyāmatiyawmiilāsarmadanl-nahāraʿalaykumul-lahujaʿalainara-aytumqul
SayHave you seenifAllah madeAllah madefor youthe daycontinuoustill(the) Day(of) the Resurrectionwho(is the) godbesidesAllahwho could bring younight(for) you (to) restin itThen will notyou see
28:72
وَمِنرَّحْمَتِهِۦجَعَلَلَكُمُٱلَّيْلَوَٱلنَّهَارَلِتَسْكُنُوا۟فِيهِوَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟مِنفَضْلِهِۦوَلَعَلَّكُمْتَشْكُرُونَ
tashkurūnawalaʿallakumfaḍlihiminwalitabtaghūfīhilitaskunūwal-nahāraal-laylalakumujaʿalaraḥmatihiwamin
And fromHis MercyHe madefor youthe nightand the daythat you may restthereinand that you may seekfromHis Bountyand so that you maybe grateful
28:73
وَيَوْمَيُنَادِيهِمْفَيَقُولُأَيْنَشُرَكَآءِىَٱلَّذِينَكُنتُمْتَزْعُمُونَ
tazʿumūnakuntumalladhīnashurakāiyaaynafayaqūluyunādīhimwayawma
And (the) DayHe will call themand sayWhere(are) My partnerswhomyou used (to)claim
28:74
وَنَزَعْنَامِنكُلِّأُمَّةٍۢشَهِيدًۭافَقُلْنَاهَاتُوا۟بُرْهَـٰنَكُمْفَعَلِمُوٓا۟أَنَّٱلْحَقَّلِلَّهِوَضَلَّعَنْهُممَّاكَانُوا۟يَفْتَرُونَ
yaftarūnakānūmāʿanhumwaḍallalillahil-ḥaqaannafaʿalimūbur'hānakumhātūfaqul'nāshahīdanummatinkulliminwanazaʿnā
And We will draw forthfromeverynationa witnessand We will sayBringyour proofThen they will knowthatthe truth(is) for Allahand (will be) lostfrom themwhatthey used (to)invent
28:75
۞ إِنَّقَـٰرُونَكَانَمِنقَوْمِمُوسَىٰفَبَغَىٰعَلَيْهِمْ ۖوَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمِنَٱلْكُنُوزِمَآإِنَّمَفَاتِحَهُۥلَتَنُوٓأُبِٱلْعُصْبَةِأُو۟لِىٱلْقُوَّةِإِذْقَالَلَهُۥقَوْمُهُۥلَاتَفْرَحْ ۖإِنَّٱللَّهَلَايُحِبُّٱلْفَرِحِينَ
l-fariḥīnayuḥibbulāl-lahainnatafraḥlāqawmuhulahuqālaidhl-quwatiulībil-ʿuṣ'batilatanūumafātiḥahuinnamāl-kunūziminawaātaynāhuʿalayhimfabaghāmūsāqawmiminkānaqārūnainna
IndeedQarunwasfrom(the) people(of) Musabut he oppressed[on] themAnd We gave himofthe treasureswhichindeed(the) keys of itwould burdena company (of men)possessors of great strengthpossessors of great strengthWhensaidto himhis people(Do) notexultIndeedAllah(does) notlovethe exultant
28:76
وَٱبْتَغِفِيمَآءَاتَىٰكَٱللَّهُٱلدَّارَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ ۖوَلَاتَنسَنَصِيبَكَمِنَٱلدُّنْيَا ۖوَأَحْسِنكَمَآأَحْسَنَٱللَّهُإِلَيْكَ ۖوَلَاتَبْغِٱلْفَسَادَفِىٱلْأَرْضِ ۖإِنَّٱللَّهَلَايُحِبُّٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
l-muf'sidīnayuḥibbulāl-lahainnal-arḍifīl-fasādatabghiwalāilaykal-lahuaḥsanakamāwa-aḥsinl-dun'yāminanaṣībakatansawalāl-ākhiratal-dāral-lahuātākafīmāwa-ib'taghi
But seekthrough whatAllah has given youAllah has given youthe home(of) the Hereafterand (do) notforgetyour shareofthe worldAnd do goodasAllah has been goodAllah has been goodto youAnd (do) notseekcorruptioninthe earthIndeedAllah(does) notlovethe corrupters
28:77
قَالَإِنَّمَآأُوتِيتُهُۥعَلَىٰعِلْمٍعِندِىٓ ۚأَوَلَمْيَعْلَمْأَنَّٱللَّهَقَدْأَهْلَكَمِنقَبْلِهِۦمِنَٱلْقُرُونِمَنْهُوَأَشَدُّمِنْهُقُوَّةًۭوَأَكْثَرُجَمْعًۭا ۚوَلَايُسْـَٔلُعَنذُنُوبِهِمُٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
l-muj'rimūnadhunūbihimuʿanyus'aluwalājamʿanwa-aktharuquwwatanmin'huashadduhuwamanl-qurūniminaqablihiminahlakaqadl-lahaannayaʿlamawalamʿindīʿil'minʿalāūtītuhuinnamāqāla
He saidOnlyI have been given iton (account)(of) knowledgeI haveDid nothe knowthatAllahindeeddestroyedbefore himbefore himofthe generationswho[they](were) strongerthan him(in) strengthand greater(in) accumulationAnd notwill be questionedabouttheir sinsthe criminals
28:78
فَخَرَجَعَلَىٰقَوْمِهِۦفِىزِينَتِهِۦ ۖقَالَٱلَّذِينَيُرِيدُونَٱلْحَيَوٰةَٱلدُّنْيَايَـٰلَيْتَلَنَامِثْلَمَآأُوتِىَقَـٰرُونُإِنَّهُۥلَذُوحَظٍّعَظِيمٍۢ
ʿaẓīminḥaẓẓinladhūinnahuqārūnuūtiyamāmith'lalanāyālaytal-dun'yāl-ḥayatayurīdūnaalladhīnaqālazīnatihifīqawmihiʿalāfakharaja
So he went forthtohis peopleinhis adornmentSaidthose whodesirethe life(of) the worldO! Would thatfor us(the) like(of) whathas been given(to) QarunIndeed, he(is the) owner(of) fortunegreat
28:79
وَقَالَٱلَّذِينَأُوتُوا۟ٱلْعِلْمَوَيْلَكُمْثَوَابُٱللَّهِخَيْرٌۭلِّمَنْءَامَنَوَعَمِلَصَـٰلِحًۭاوَلَايُلَقَّىٰهَآإِلَّاٱلصَّـٰبِرُونَ
l-ṣābirūnaillāyulaqqāhāwalāṣāliḥanwaʿamilaāmanalimankhayrunl-lahithawābuwaylakuml-ʿil'maūtūalladhīnawaqāla
But saidthose whowere giventhe knowledgeWoe to you(The) reward(of) Allah(is) betterfor (he) whobelievesand doesrighteous (deeds)And notit is grantedexcept(to) the patient ones
28:80
فَخَسَفْنَابِهِۦوَبِدَارِهِٱلْأَرْضَفَمَاكَانَلَهُۥمِنفِئَةٍۢيَنصُرُونَهُۥمِندُونِٱللَّهِوَمَاكَانَمِنَٱلْمُنتَصِرِينَ
l-muntaṣirīnaminakānawamāl-lahidūniminyanṣurūnahufi-atinminlahukānafamāl-arḍawabidārihibihifakhasafnā
Then We caused to swallow uphimand his homethe earthThen notwasfor himanygroup(to) help himbesidesbesidesAllahand notwas(he) ofthose who (could) defend themselves
28:81
وَأَصْبَحَٱلَّذِينَتَمَنَّوْا۟مَكَانَهُۥبِٱلْأَمْسِيَقُولُونَوَيْكَأَنَّٱللَّهَيَبْسُطُٱلرِّزْقَلِمَنيَشَآءُمِنْعِبَادِهِۦوَيَقْدِرُ ۖلَوْلَآأَنمَّنَّٱللَّهُعَلَيْنَالَخَسَفَبِنَا ۖوَيْكَأَنَّهُۥلَايُفْلِحُٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ
l-kāfirūnayuf'liḥulāwayka-annahubinālakhasafaʿalaynāl-lahumannaanlawlāwayaqdiruʿibādihiminyashāulimanl-riz'qayabsuṭul-lahawayka-annayaqūlūnabil-amsimakānahutamannawalladhīnawa-aṣbaḥa
And beganthose who(had) wishedhis positionthe day before(to) sayAh! ThatAllahextendsthe provisionfor whomHe willsofHis slavesand restricts itIf notthatAllah had favoredAllah had favored[to] usHe would have caused it to swallow usHe would have caused it to swallow usAh! Thatnotwill succeedthe disbelievers
28:82
تِلْكَٱلدَّارُٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُنَجْعَلُهَالِلَّذِينَلَايُرِيدُونَعُلُوًّۭافِىٱلْأَرْضِوَلَافَسَادًۭا ۚوَٱلْعَـٰقِبَةُلِلْمُتَّقِينَ
lil'muttaqīnawal-ʿāqibatufasādanwalāl-arḍifīʿuluwwanyurīdūnalālilladhīnanajʿaluhāl-ākhiratul-dārutil'ka
Thatthe Home(of) the HereafterWe assign itto those who(do) notdesireexaltednessinthe earthand notcorruptionAnd the good end(is) for the righteous
28:83
مَنجَآءَبِٱلْحَسَنَةِفَلَهُۥخَيْرٌۭمِّنْهَا ۖوَمَنجَآءَبِٱلسَّيِّئَةِفَلَايُجْزَىٱلَّذِينَعَمِلُوا۟ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِإِلَّامَاكَانُوا۟يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnakānūmāillāl-sayiātiʿamilūalladhīnayuj'zāfalābil-sayi-atijāawamanmin'hākhayrunfalahubil-ḥasanatijāaman
Whoevercomeswith a good (deed)then for him(will be) betterthan itand whoevercomeswith an evil (deed)then notwill be recompensedthose whodothe evil (deeds)exceptwhatthey used (to)do
28:84
إِنَّٱلَّذِىفَرَضَعَلَيْكَٱلْقُرْءَانَلَرَآدُّكَإِلَىٰمَعَادٍۢ ۚقُلرَّبِّىٓأَعْلَمُمَنجَآءَبِٱلْهُدَىٰوَمَنْهُوَفِىضَلَـٰلٍۢمُّبِينٍۢ
mubīninḍalālinfīhuwawamanbil-hudājāamanaʿlamurabbīqulmaʿādinilālarāddukal-qur'ānaʿalaykafaraḍaalladhīinna
IndeedHe Whoordainedupon youthe Quran(will) surely take you backtoa place of returnSayMy Lord(is) most knowing(of him) whocomeswith the guidanceand who he(is) inan errormanifest
28:85
وَمَاكُنتَتَرْجُوٓا۟أَنيُلْقَىٰٓإِلَيْكَٱلْكِتَـٰبُإِلَّارَحْمَةًۭمِّنرَّبِّكَ ۖفَلَاتَكُونَنَّظَهِيرًۭالِّلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
lil'kāfirīnaẓahīrantakūnannafalārabbikaminraḥmatanillāl-kitābuilaykayul'qāantarjūkuntawamā
And notyou wereexpectingthatwould be sent downto youthe Bookexcept(as) a mercyfromyour LordSo (do) notbean assistantto the disbelievers
28:86
وَلَايَصُدُّنَّكَعَنْءَايَـٰتِٱللَّهِبَعْدَإِذْأُنزِلَتْإِلَيْكَ ۖوَٱدْعُإِلَىٰرَبِّكَ ۖوَلَاتَكُونَنَّمِنَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
l-mush'rikīnaminatakūnannawalārabbikailāwa-ud'ʿuilaykaunzilatidhbaʿdal-lahiāyātiʿanyaṣuddunnakawalā
And (let) notavert youfrom(the) Verses(of) Allahafter[when]they have been revealedto youAnd invite (people)toyour LordAnd (do) notbeofthe polytheists
28:87
وَلَاتَدْعُمَعَٱللَّهِإِلَـٰهًاءَاخَرَ ۘلَآإِلَـٰهَإِلَّاهُوَ ۚكُلُّشَىْءٍهَالِكٌإِلَّاوَجْهَهُۥ ۚلَهُٱلْحُكْمُوَإِلَيْهِتُرْجَعُونَ
tur'jaʿūnawa-ilayhil-ḥuk'mulahuwajhahuillāhālikunshayinkulluhuwaillāilāhalāākharailāhanl-lahimaʿatadʿuwalā
And (do) notinvokewithAllahgodother(There is) nogodexceptHimEverything(will be) destroyedexceptHis FaceTo Him(is) the Decisionand to Himyou will be returned
28:88

الٓمٓ

Alif Laam Meem
29:1
أَحَسِبَٱلنَّاسُأَنيُتْرَكُوٓا۟أَنيَقُولُوٓا۟ءَامَنَّاوَهُمْلَايُفْتَنُونَ
yuf'tanūnalāwahumāmannāyaqūlūanyut'rakūanl-nāsuaḥasiba
Do thinkthe peoplethatthey will be leftbecausethey sayWe believeand theywill not be testedwill not be tested
29:2
وَلَقَدْفَتَنَّاٱلَّذِينَمِنقَبْلِهِمْ ۖفَلَيَعْلَمَنَّٱللَّهُٱلَّذِينَصَدَقُوا۟وَلَيَعْلَمَنَّٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ
l-kādhibīnawalayaʿlamannaṣadaqūalladhīnal-lahufalayaʿlamannaqablihimminalladhīnafatannāwalaqad
And indeedWe testedthose who(were) before them(were) before themAnd Allah will surely make evidentAnd Allah will surely make evidentthose who(are) truthfuland He will surely make evidentthe liars
29:3
أَمْحَسِبَٱلَّذِينَيَعْمَلُونَٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِأَنيَسْبِقُونَا ۚسَآءَمَايَحْكُمُونَ
yaḥkumūnamāsāayasbiqūnāanl-sayiātiyaʿmalūnaalladhīnaḥasibaam
Orthinkthose whodoevil deedsthatthey can outrun UsEvil iswhatthey judge
29:4
مَنكَانَيَرْجُوا۟لِقَآءَٱللَّهِفَإِنَّأَجَلَٱللَّهِلَـَٔاتٍۢ ۚوَهُوَٱلسَّمِيعُٱلْعَلِيمُ
l-ʿalīmul-samīʿuwahuwalaātinl-lahiajalafa-innal-lahiliqāayarjūkānaman
Whoever[is]hopes(for the) meeting(with) Allahthen indeed(the) Term(of) Allah(is) surely comingAnd He(is) the All-Hearerthe All-Knower
29:5
وَمَنجَـٰهَدَفَإِنَّمَايُجَـٰهِدُلِنَفْسِهِۦٓ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَلَغَنِىٌّعَنِٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnaʿanilaghaniyyunl-lahainnalinafsihiyujāhidufa-innamājāhadawaman
And whoeverstrivesthen onlyhe strivesfor himselfIndeedAllah(is) Free from needofthe worlds
29:6
وَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَعَمِلُوا۟ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِلَنُكَفِّرَنَّعَنْهُمْسَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْوَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْأَحْسَنَٱلَّذِىكَانُوا۟يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnakānūalladhīaḥsanawalanajziyannahumsayyiātihimʿanhumlanukaffirannal-ṣāliḥātiwaʿamilūāmanūwa-alladhīna
And those whobelieveand dorighteous (deeds)surely, We will removefrom themtheir evil deedsand We will surely reward them(the) best(of) whatthey used(to) do
29:7
وَوَصَّيْنَاٱلْإِنسَـٰنَبِوَٰلِدَيْهِحُسْنًۭا ۖوَإِنجَـٰهَدَاكَلِتُشْرِكَبِىمَالَيْسَلَكَبِهِۦعِلْمٌۭفَلَاتُطِعْهُمَآ ۚإِلَىَّمَرْجِعُكُمْفَأُنَبِّئُكُمبِمَاكُنتُمْتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnakuntumbimāfa-unabbi-ukummarjiʿukumilayyatuṭiʿ'humāfalāʿil'munbihilakalaysamābīlitush'rikajāhadākawa-inḥus'nanbiwālidayhil-insānawawaṣṣaynā
And We have enjoined(on) mangoodness to his parentsgoodness to his parentsbut ifthey both strive against youto make you associatewith Mewhatnotyou haveof itany knowledgethen (do) notobey both of themTo Me(is) your returnand I will inform youabout whatyou used(to) do
29:8
وَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَعَمِلُوا۟ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِلَنُدْخِلَنَّهُمْفِىٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
l-ṣāliḥīnafīlanud'khilannahuml-ṣāliḥātiwaʿamilūāmanūwa-alladhīna
And those whobelieveand dorighteous deedsWe will surely admit themamongthe righteous
29:9
وَمِنَٱلنَّاسِمَنيَقُولُءَامَنَّابِٱللَّهِفَإِذَآأُوذِىَفِىٱللَّهِجَعَلَفِتْنَةَٱلنَّاسِكَعَذَابِٱللَّهِوَلَئِنجَآءَنَصْرٌۭمِّنرَّبِّكَلَيَقُولُنَّإِنَّاكُنَّامَعَكُمْ ۚأَوَلَيْسَٱللَّهُبِأَعْلَمَبِمَافِىصُدُورِٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnaṣudūrifībimābi-aʿlamal-lahuawalaysamaʿakumkunnāinnālayaqūlunnarabbikaminnaṣrunjāawala-inl-lahikaʿadhābil-nāsifit'natajaʿalal-lahifīūdhiyafa-idhābil-lahiāmannāyaqūlumanl-nāsiwamina
And ofthe people(is he) whosaysWe believein AllahBut whenhe is harmedin(the Way of) Allahhe considers(the) trial(of) the peopleas (the) punishment(of) AllahBut ifcomesvictoryfromyour Lordsurely they sayIndeed, wewerewith youIs notAllahmost knowingof what(is) in(the) breasts(of) the worlds
29:10
وَلَيَعْلَمَنَّٱللَّهُٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَلَيَعْلَمَنَّٱلْمُنَـٰفِقِينَ
l-munāfiqīnawalayaʿlamannaāmanūalladhīnal-lahuwalayaʿlamanna
And Allah will surely make evidentAnd Allah will surely make evidentthose whobelieveAnd He will surely make evidentthe hypocrites
29:11
وَقَالَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟لِلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟ٱتَّبِعُوا۟سَبِيلَنَاوَلْنَحْمِلْخَطَـٰيَـٰكُمْوَمَاهُمبِحَـٰمِلِينَمِنْخَطَـٰيَـٰهُممِّنشَىْءٍ ۖإِنَّهُمْلَكَـٰذِبُونَ
lakādhibūnainnahumshayinminkhaṭāyāhumminbiḥāmilīnahumwamākhaṭāyākumwalnaḥmilsabīlanāittabiʿūāmanūlilladhīnakafarūalladhīnawaqāla
And saidthose whodisbelieveto those whobelieveFollowour wayand we will carryyour sinsBut notthey(are) going to carryoftheir sinsanythingIndeed, they(are) surely liars
29:12
وَلَيَحْمِلُنَّأَثْقَالَهُمْوَأَثْقَالًۭامَّعَأَثْقَالِهِمْ ۖوَلَيُسْـَٔلُنَّيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِعَمَّاكَانُوا۟يَفْتَرُونَ
yaftarūnakānūʿammāl-qiyāmatiyawmawalayus'alunnaathqālihimmaʿawa-athqālanathqālahumwalayaḥmilunna
But surely they will carrytheir burdensand burdenswiththeir burdensand surely they will be questioned(on the) Day(of) the Resurrectionabout whatthey used(to) invent
29:13
وَلَقَدْأَرْسَلْنَانُوحًاإِلَىٰقَوْمِهِۦفَلَبِثَفِيهِمْأَلْفَسَنَةٍإِلَّاخَمْسِينَعَامًۭافَأَخَذَهُمُٱلطُّوفَانُوَهُمْظَـٰلِمُونَ
ẓālimūnawahuml-ṭūfānufa-akhadhahumuʿāmankhamsīnaillāsanatinalfafīhimfalabithaqawmihiilānūḥanarsalnāwalaqad
And verilyWe sentNuhtohis peopleand he remainedamong thema thousandyear(s)savefiftyyear(s)then seized themthe floodwhile they(were) wrongdoers
29:14
فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُوَأَصْحَـٰبَٱلسَّفِينَةِوَجَعَلْنَـٰهَآءَايَةًۭلِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
lil'ʿālamīnaāyatanwajaʿalnāhāl-safīnatiwa-aṣḥābafa-anjaynāhu
But We saved himand (the) people(of) the shipand We made ita Signfor the worlds
29:15
وَإِبْرَٰهِيمَإِذْقَالَلِقَوْمِهِٱعْبُدُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَٱتَّقُوهُ ۖذَٰلِكُمْخَيْرٌۭلَّكُمْإِنكُنتُمْتَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūnakuntuminlakumkhayrundhālikumwa-ittaqūhul-lahauʿ'budūliqawmihiqālaidhwa-ib'rāhīma
And Ibrahim whenhe saidto his peopleWorshipAllahand fear HimThat(is) betterfor youifyouknow
29:16
إِنَّمَاتَعْبُدُونَمِندُونِٱللَّهِأَوْثَـٰنًۭاوَتَخْلُقُونَإِفْكًا ۚإِنَّٱلَّذِينَتَعْبُدُونَمِندُونِٱللَّهِلَايَمْلِكُونَلَكُمْرِزْقًۭافَٱبْتَغُوا۟عِندَٱللَّهِٱلرِّزْقَوَٱعْبُدُوهُوَٱشْكُرُوا۟لَهُۥٓ ۖإِلَيْهِتُرْجَعُونَ
tur'jaʿūnailayhilahuwa-ush'kurūwa-uʿ'budūhul-riz'qal-lahiʿindafa-ib'taghūriz'qanlakumyamlikūnalāl-lahidūnimintaʿbudūnaalladhīnainnaif'kanwatakhluqūnaawthānanl-lahidūnimintaʿbudūnainnamā
Onlyyou worshipbesidesbesidesAllahidolsand you createfalsehoodIndeedthose whomyou worshipbesidesbesidesAllah(do) notpossessfor youany provisionSo seekfromAllahthe provisionand worship Himand be gratefulto HimTo Himyou will be returned
29:17
وَإِنتُكَذِّبُوا۟فَقَدْكَذَّبَأُمَمٌۭمِّنقَبْلِكُمْ ۖوَمَاعَلَىٱلرَّسُولِإِلَّاٱلْبَلَـٰغُٱلْمُبِينُ
l-mubīnul-balāghuillāl-rasūliʿalāwamāqablikumminumamunkadhabafaqadtukadhibūwa-in
And ifyou denythen verilydenied(the) nationsbefore youbefore youAnd not(is) onthe Messengerexceptthe conveyanceclear
29:18
أَوَلَمْيَرَوْا۟كَيْفَيُبْدِئُٱللَّهُٱلْخَلْقَثُمَّيُعِيدُهُۥٓ ۚإِنَّذَٰلِكَعَلَىٱللَّهِيَسِيرٌۭ
yasīrunl-lahiʿalādhālikainnayuʿīduhuthummal-khalqal-lahuyub'di-ukayfayarawawalam
Do notthey seehowAllah originatesAllah originatesthe creationthenrepeats itIndeedthatforAllah(is) easy
29:19
قُلْسِيرُوا۟فِىٱلْأَرْضِفَٱنظُرُوا۟كَيْفَبَدَأَٱلْخَلْقَ ۚثُمَّٱللَّهُيُنشِئُٱلنَّشْأَةَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَعَلَىٰكُلِّشَىْءٍۢقَدِيرٌۭ
qadīrunshayinkulliʿalāl-lahainnal-ākhiratal-nashatayunshi-ul-lahuthummal-khalqabada-akayfafa-unẓurūl-arḍifīsīrūqul
SayTravelinthe earthand seehowHe originatedthe creationThenAllahwill producethe creationthe lastIndeedAllahoneverything(is) All-Powerful
29:20
يُعَذِّبُمَنيَشَآءُوَيَرْحَمُمَنيَشَآءُ ۖوَإِلَيْهِتُقْلَبُونَ
tuq'labūnawa-ilayhiyashāumanwayarḥamuyashāumanyuʿadhibu
He punisheswhomHe willsand has mercy(on) whomHe willsand to Himyou will be returned
29:21
وَمَآأَنتُمبِمُعْجِزِينَفِىٱلْأَرْضِوَلَافِىٱلسَّمَآءِ ۖوَمَالَكُممِّندُونِٱللَّهِمِنوَلِىٍّۢوَلَانَصِيرٍۢ
naṣīrinwalāwaliyyinminl-lahidūniminlakumwamāl-samāifīwalāl-arḍifībimuʿ'jizīnaantumwamā
And notyoucan escapeinthe earthand notinthe heavenAnd notfor youbesidesbesidesAllahanyprotectorand nota helper
29:22
وَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟بِـَٔايَـٰتِٱللَّهِوَلِقَآئِهِۦٓأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَيَئِسُوا۟مِنرَّحْمَتِىوَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَلَهُمْعَذَابٌأَلِيمٌۭ
alīmunʿadhābunlahumwa-ulāikaraḥmatīminya-isūulāikawaliqāihil-lahibiāyātikafarūwa-alladhīna
And those whodisbelievein (the) Signs(of) Allahand (the) meeting (with) Himthose(have) despairedofMy MercyAnd thosefor them(is) a punishmentpainful
29:23
فَمَاكَانَجَوَابَقَوْمِهِۦٓإِلَّآأَنقَالُوا۟ٱقْتُلُوهُأَوْحَرِّقُوهُفَأَنجَىٰهُٱللَّهُمِنَٱلنَّارِ ۚإِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢلِّقَوْمٍۢيُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūnaliqawminlaāyātindhālikafīinnal-nāriminal-lahufa-anjāhuḥarriqūhuawuq'tulūhuqālūanillāqawmihijawābakānafamā
And notwas(the) answer(of) his peopleexceptthatthey saidKill himorburn himBut Allah saved himBut Allah saved himfromthe fireIndeedinthatsurely (are) Signsfor a peoplewho believe
29:24
وَقَالَإِنَّمَاٱتَّخَذْتُممِّندُونِٱللَّهِأَوْثَـٰنًۭامَّوَدَّةَبَيْنِكُمْفِىٱلْحَيَوٰةِٱلدُّنْيَا ۖثُمَّيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِيَكْفُرُبَعْضُكُمبِبَعْضٍۢوَيَلْعَنُبَعْضُكُمبَعْضًۭاوَمَأْوَىٰكُمُٱلنَّارُوَمَالَكُممِّننَّـٰصِرِينَ
nāṣirīnaminlakumwamāl-nāruwamawākumubaʿḍanbaʿḍukumwayalʿanubibaʿḍinbaʿḍukumyakfurul-qiyāmatiyawmathummal-dun'yāl-ḥayatifībaynikummawaddataawthānanl-lahidūniminittakhadhtuminnamāwaqāla
And he saidOnlyyou have takenbesidesbesidesAllahidols(out of) loveamong youinthe life(of) the worldThen(on the) Day(of) the Resurrectionyou will denyone anotherone anotherand curseone anotherone anotherand your abode(will be) the Fireand notfor youanyhelpers
29:25
۞ فَـَٔامَنَلَهُۥلُوطٌۭ ۘوَقَالَإِنِّىمُهَاجِرٌإِلَىٰرَبِّىٓ ۖإِنَّهُۥهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلْحَكِيمُ
l-ḥakīmul-ʿazīzuhuwainnahurabbīilāmuhājiruninnīwaqālalūṭunlahufaāmana
And believed[in] himLutand he saidIndeed I (am)emigratingtomy LordIndeed, He[He] (is)the All-Mightythe All-Wise
29:26
وَوَهَبْنَالَهُۥٓإِسْحَـٰقَوَيَعْقُوبَوَجَعَلْنَافِىذُرِّيَّتِهِٱلنُّبُوَّةَوَٱلْكِتَـٰبَوَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُأَجْرَهُۥفِىٱلدُّنْيَا ۖوَإِنَّهُۥفِىٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِلَمِنَٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
l-ṣāliḥīnalaminal-ākhiratifīwa-innahul-dun'yāfīajrahuwaātaynāhuwal-kitābal-nubuwatadhurriyyatihifīwajaʿalnāwayaʿqūbais'ḥāqalahuwawahabnā
And We grantedto himIsaacand Yaquband We placedinhis offspringsthe Prophethoodand the BookAnd We gave himhis rewardinthe worldAnd indeed, heinthe Hereafter(is) surely, amongthe righteous
29:27
وَلُوطًاإِذْقَالَلِقَوْمِهِۦٓإِنَّكُمْلَتَأْتُونَٱلْفَـٰحِشَةَمَاسَبَقَكُمبِهَامِنْأَحَدٍۢمِّنَٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnaminaaḥadinminbihāsabaqakummāl-fāḥishatalatatūnainnakumliqawmihiqālaidhwalūṭan
And Lutwhenhe saidto his peopleIndeed, youcommitthe immoralitynothas preceded youwith itanyonefromthe worlds
29:28
أَئِنَّكُمْلَتَأْتُونَٱلرِّجَالَوَتَقْطَعُونَٱلسَّبِيلَوَتَأْتُونَفِىنَادِيكُمُٱلْمُنكَرَ ۖفَمَاكَانَجَوَابَقَوْمِهِۦٓإِلَّآأَنقَالُوا۟ٱئْتِنَابِعَذَابِٱللَّهِإِنكُنتَمِنَٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
l-ṣādiqīnaminakuntainl-lahibiʿadhābii'tināqālūanillāqawmihijawābakānafamāl-munkaranādīkumufīwatatūnal-sabīlawataqṭaʿūnal-rijālalatatūnaa-innakum
Indeed, youapproachthe menand you cut offthe roadand commitinyour meetingsevilAnd notwas(the) answer(of) his peopleexceptthatthey saidBring upon us(the) punishment(of) Allahifyou areofthe truthful
29:29
قَالَرَبِّٱنصُرْنِىعَلَىٱلْقَوْمِٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
l-muf'sidīnal-qawmiʿalāunṣur'nīrabbiqāla
He saidMy LordHelp meagainstthe peoplethe corrupters
29:30
وَلَمَّاجَآءَتْرُسُلُنَآإِبْرَٰهِيمَبِٱلْبُشْرَىٰقَالُوٓا۟إِنَّامُهْلِكُوٓا۟أَهْلِهَـٰذِهِٱلْقَرْيَةِ ۖإِنَّأَهْلَهَاكَانُوا۟ظَـٰلِمِينَ
ẓālimīnakānūahlahāinnal-qaryatihādhihiahlimuh'likūinnāqālūbil-bush'rāib'rāhīmarusulunājāatwalammā
And whencameOur messengers(to) Ibrahimwith the glad tidingsthey saidIndeed, we(are) going to destroy(the) people(of) thistownIndeedits peoplearewrongdoers
29:31
قَالَإِنَّفِيهَالُوطًۭا ۚقَالُوا۟نَحْنُأَعْلَمُبِمَنفِيهَا ۖلَنُنَجِّيَنَّهُۥوَأَهْلَهُۥٓإِلَّاٱمْرَأَتَهُۥكَانَتْمِنَٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ
l-ghābirīnaminakānatim'ra-atahuillāwa-ahlahulanunajjiyannahufīhābimanaʿlamunaḥnuqālūlūṭanfīhāinnaqāla
He saidIndeedin it(is) LutThey saidWeknow betterwho(is) in itWe will surely save himand his familyexcepthis wifeShe(is) ofthose who remain behind
29:32
وَلَمَّآأَنجَآءَتْرُسُلُنَالُوطًۭاسِىٓءَبِهِمْوَضَاقَبِهِمْذَرْعًۭاوَقَالُوا۟لَاتَخَفْوَلَاتَحْزَنْ ۖإِنَّامُنَجُّوكَوَأَهْلَكَإِلَّاٱمْرَأَتَكَكَانَتْمِنَٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ
l-ghābirīnaminakānatim'ra-atakaillāwa-ahlakamunajjūkainnātaḥzanwalātakhaflāwaqālūdharʿanbihimwaḍāqabihimsīalūṭanrusulunājāatanwalammā
And when[that]cameOur messengers(to) Luthe was distressedfor themand felt straitenedfor them(and) uneasyAnd they said(Do) notfearand (do) notgrieveIndeed, we(will) save youand your familyexceptyour wifeShe(is) ofthose who remain behind
29:33
إِنَّامُنزِلُونَعَلَىٰٓأَهْلِهَـٰذِهِٱلْقَرْيَةِرِجْزًۭامِّنَٱلسَّمَآءِبِمَاكَانُوا۟يَفْسُقُونَ
yafsuqūnakānūbimāl-samāiminarij'zanl-qaryatihādhihiahliʿalāmunzilūnainnā
Indeed, we(will) bring downon(the) people(of) thistowna punishmentfrom(the) skybecausethey have beendefiantly disobedient
29:34
وَلَقَدتَّرَكْنَامِنْهَآءَايَةًۢبَيِّنَةًۭلِّقَوْمٍۢيَعْقِلُونَ
yaʿqilūnaliqawminbayyinatanāyatanmin'hātaraknāwalaqad
And verilyWe have leftabout ita sign(as) evidencefor a peoplewho use reason
29:35
وَإِلَىٰمَدْيَنَأَخَاهُمْشُعَيْبًۭافَقَالَيَـٰقَوْمِٱعْبُدُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَٱرْجُوا۟ٱلْيَوْمَٱلْـَٔاخِرَوَلَاتَعْثَوْا۟فِىٱلْأَرْضِمُفْسِدِينَ
muf'sidīnal-arḍifītaʿthawwalāl-ākhiral-yawmawa-ir'jūl-lahauʿ'budūyāqawmifaqālashuʿaybanakhāhummadyanawa-ilā
And toMadyantheir brotherShuaibAnd he saidO my peopleWorshipAllahand expectthe Daythe Lastand (do) notcommit evilinthe earth(as) corrupters
29:36
فَكَذَّبُوهُفَأَخَذَتْهُمُٱلرَّجْفَةُفَأَصْبَحُوا۟فِىدَارِهِمْجَـٰثِمِينَ
jāthimīnadārihimfīfa-aṣbaḥūl-rajfatufa-akhadhathumufakadhabūhu
But they denied himso seized themthe earthquakeand they becameintheir homefallen prone
29:37
وَعَادًۭاوَثَمُودَا۟وَقَدتَّبَيَّنَلَكُممِّنمَّسَـٰكِنِهِمْ ۖوَزَيَّنَلَهُمُٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُأَعْمَـٰلَهُمْفَصَدَّهُمْعَنِٱلسَّبِيلِوَكَانُوا۟مُسْتَبْصِرِينَ
mus'tabṣirīnawakānūl-sabīliʿanifaṣaddahumaʿmālahuml-shayṭānulahumuwazayyanamasākinihimminlakumtabayyanawaqadwathamūdāwaʿādan
And Aadand Thamudand verily(has) become clearto youfromtheir dwellingsAnd made fair-seemingto themthe Shaitaantheir deedsand averted themfromthe Waythough they wereendowed with insight
29:38
وَقَـٰرُونَوَفِرْعَوْنَوَهَـٰمَـٰنَ ۖوَلَقَدْجَآءَهُممُّوسَىٰبِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِفَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟فِىٱلْأَرْضِوَمَاكَانُوا۟سَـٰبِقِينَ
sābiqīnakānūwamāl-arḍifīfa-is'takbarūbil-bayinātimūsājāahumwalaqadwahāmānawafir'ʿawnawaqārūna
And Qarunand Firaunand HamanAnd certainlycame to themMusawith clear evidencesbut they were arrogantinthe earthand notthey couldoutstrip Us
29:39
فَكُلًّاأَخَذْنَابِذَنۢبِهِۦ ۖفَمِنْهُممَّنْأَرْسَلْنَاعَلَيْهِحَاصِبًۭاوَمِنْهُممَّنْأَخَذَتْهُٱلصَّيْحَةُوَمِنْهُممَّنْخَسَفْنَابِهِٱلْأَرْضَوَمِنْهُممَّنْأَغْرَقْنَا ۚوَمَاكَانَٱللَّهُلِيَظْلِمَهُمْوَلَـٰكِنكَانُوٓا۟أَنفُسَهُمْيَظْلِمُونَ
yaẓlimūnaanfusahumkānūwalākinliyaẓlimahuml-lahukānawamāaghraqnāmanwamin'huml-arḍabihikhasafnāmanwamin'huml-ṣayḥatuakhadhathumanwamin'humḥāṣibanʿalayhiarsalnāmanfamin'humbidhanbihiakhadhnāfakullan
So eachWe seizedfor his sinThen of them(was he) whoWe senton hima violent stormand of them(was he) whoseized himthe awful cryand of them(was he) whoWe caused to swallowhimthe earthand of them(was he) whoWe drownedAnd notwasAllahto wrong thembutthey werethemselvesdoing wrong
29:40
مَثَلُٱلَّذِينَٱتَّخَذُوا۟مِندُونِٱللَّهِأَوْلِيَآءَكَمَثَلِٱلْعَنكَبُوتِٱتَّخَذَتْبَيْتًۭا ۖوَإِنَّأَوْهَنَٱلْبُيُوتِلَبَيْتُٱلْعَنكَبُوتِ ۖلَوْكَانُوا۟يَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnakānūlawl-ʿankabūtilabaytul-buyūtiawhanawa-innabaytanittakhadhatl-ʿankabūtikamathaliawliyāal-lahidūniminittakhadhūalladhīnamathalu
(The) example(of) those whotakebesidesbesidesAllahprotectors(is) likethe spiderwho takesa houseAnd indeedthe weakest(of) houses(is) surely (the) house(of) the spiderif (only)theyknow
29:41
إِنَّٱللَّهَيَعْلَمُمَايَدْعُونَمِندُونِهِۦمِنشَىْءٍۢ ۚوَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلْحَكِيمُ
l-ḥakīmul-ʿazīzuwahuwashayinmindūnihiminyadʿūnamāyaʿlamul-lahainna
IndeedAllahknowswhatthey invokebesides Himbesides HimanythingAnd He(is) the All-Mightythe All-Wise
29:42
وَتِلْكَٱلْأَمْثَـٰلُنَضْرِبُهَالِلنَّاسِ ۖوَمَايَعْقِلُهَآإِلَّاٱلْعَـٰلِمُونَ
l-ʿālimūnaillāyaʿqiluhāwamālilnnāsinaḍribuhāl-amthāluwatil'ka
And theseexamplesWe set forthto mankindbut notwill understand themexceptthose of knowledge
29:43
خَلَقَٱللَّهُٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضَبِٱلْحَقِّ ۚإِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭلِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
lil'mu'minīnalaāyatandhālikafīinnabil-ḥaqiwal-arḍal-samāwātil-lahukhalaqa
Allah createdAllah createdthe heavensand the earthin truthIndeedinthat(is) surely a Signfor the believers
29:44
ٱتْلُمَآأُوحِىَإِلَيْكَمِنَٱلْكِتَـٰبِوَأَقِمِٱلصَّلَوٰةَ ۖإِنَّٱلصَّلَوٰةَتَنْهَىٰعَنِٱلْفَحْشَآءِوَٱلْمُنكَرِ ۗوَلَذِكْرُٱللَّهِأَكْبَرُ ۗوَٱللَّهُيَعْلَمُمَاتَصْنَعُونَ
taṣnaʿūnamāyaʿlamuwal-lahuakbarul-lahiwaladhik'ruwal-munkaril-faḥshāiʿanitanhāl-ṣalatainnal-ṣalatawa-aqimil-kitābiminailaykaūḥiyamāut'lu
Recitewhathas been revealedto youofthe Bookand establishthe prayerIndeedthe prayerpreventsfromthe immoralityand evil deedsand surely (the) remembrance(of) Allah(is) greatestAnd Allahknowswhatyou do
29:45
