Basmala
۞ وَمَآأَنزَلْنَاعَلَىٰقَوْمِهِۦمِنۢبَعْدِهِۦمِنجُندٍۢمِّنَٱلسَّمَآءِوَمَاكُنَّامُنزِلِينَ
munzilīnakunnāwamāl-samāiminajundinminbaʿdihiminqawmihiʿalāanzalnāwamā
And notWe sent downuponhis peopleafter himafter himanyhostfromthe heavenand notwere We(to) send down
36:28
إِنكَانَتْإِلَّاصَيْحَةًۭوَٰحِدَةًۭفَإِذَاهُمْخَـٰمِدُونَ
khāmidūnahumfa-idhāwāḥidatanṣayḥatanillākānatin
Notit wasbuta shoutonethen beholdThey(were) extinguished
36:29
يَـٰحَسْرَةًعَلَىٱلْعِبَادِ ۚمَايَأْتِيهِممِّنرَّسُولٍإِلَّاكَانُوا۟بِهِۦيَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
yastahziūnabihikānūillārasūlinminyatīhimmāl-ʿibādiʿalāyāḥasratan
Alasforthe servantsNotcame to themanyMessengerbutthey didmock at himmock at him
36:30
أَلَمْيَرَوْا۟كَمْأَهْلَكْنَاقَبْلَهُممِّنَٱلْقُرُونِأَنَّهُمْإِلَيْهِمْلَايَرْجِعُونَ
yarjiʿūnalāilayhimannahuml-qurūniminaqablahumahlaknākamyarawalam
Do notthey seehow manyWe destroyedbefore themofthe generationsThat theyto themwill not returnwill not return
36:31
وَإِنكُلٌّۭلَّمَّاجَمِيعٌۭلَّدَيْنَامُحْضَرُونَ
muḥ'ḍarūnaladaynājamīʿunlammākullunwa-in
And surelyallthentogetherbefore Us(will be) brought
36:32
وَءَايَةٌۭلَّهُمُٱلْأَرْضُٱلْمَيْتَةُأَحْيَيْنَـٰهَاوَأَخْرَجْنَامِنْهَاحَبًّۭافَمِنْهُيَأْكُلُونَ
yakulūnafamin'huḥabbanmin'hāwa-akhrajnāaḥyaynāhāl-maytatul-arḍulahumuwaāyatun
And a Signfor them(is) the earthdeadWe give it lifeand We bring forthfrom itgrainand from itthey eat
36:33
وَجَعَلْنَافِيهَاجَنَّـٰتٍۢمِّننَّخِيلٍۢوَأَعْنَـٰبٍۢوَفَجَّرْنَافِيهَامِنَٱلْعُيُونِ
l-ʿuyūniminafīhāwafajjarnāwa-aʿnābinnakhīlinminjannātinfīhāwajaʿalnā
And We placedthereingardensofdate-palmsand grapevinesand We caused to gush forthin itofthe springs
36:34
لِيَأْكُلُوا۟مِنثَمَرِهِۦوَمَاعَمِلَتْهُأَيْدِيهِمْ ۖأَفَلَايَشْكُرُونَ
yashkurūnaafalāaydīhimʿamilathuwamāthamarihiminliyakulū
That they may eatofits fruitAnd notmade ittheir handsSo will notthey be grateful
36:35
سُبْحَـٰنَٱلَّذِىخَلَقَٱلْأَزْوَٰجَكُلَّهَامِمَّاتُنۢبِتُٱلْأَرْضُوَمِنْأَنفُسِهِمْوَمِمَّالَايَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnalāwamimmāanfusihimwaminl-arḍutunbitumimmākullahāl-azwājakhalaqaalladhīsub'ḥāna
Glory be(to) the One Whocreated(in) pairsallof whatgrowsthe earthand ofthemselvesand of whatnotthey know
36:36
وَءَايَةٌۭلَّهُمُٱلَّيْلُنَسْلَخُمِنْهُٱلنَّهَارَفَإِذَاهُممُّظْلِمُونَ
muẓ'limūnahumfa-idhāl-nahāramin'hunaslakhual-laylulahumuwaāyatun
And a Signfor them(is) the nightWe withdrawfrom itthe dayThen beholdThey(are) those in darkness
36:37
وَٱلشَّمْسُتَجْرِىلِمُسْتَقَرٍّۢلَّهَا ۚذَٰلِكَتَقْدِيرُٱلْعَزِيزِٱلْعَلِيمِ
l-ʿalīmil-ʿazīzitaqdīrudhālikalahālimus'taqarrintajrīwal-shamsu
And the sunrunsto a term appointedfor itThat(is the) Decree(of) the All-Mightythe All-Knowing
36:38
وَٱلْقَمَرَقَدَّرْنَـٰهُمَنَازِلَحَتَّىٰعَادَكَٱلْعُرْجُونِٱلْقَدِيمِ
l-qadīmikal-ʿur'jūniʿādaḥattāmanāzilaqaddarnāhuwal-qamara
And the moon We have ordained for itphasesuntilit returnslike the date stalkthe old
36:39
لَاٱلشَّمْسُيَنۢبَغِىلَهَآأَنتُدْرِكَٱلْقَمَرَوَلَاٱلَّيْلُسَابِقُٱلنَّهَارِ ۚوَكُلٌّۭفِىفَلَكٍۢيَسْبَحُونَ
yasbaḥūnafalakinfīwakullunl-nahārisābiqual-layluwalāl-qamaratud'rikaanlahāyanbaghīl-shamsulā
Notthe sunis permittedfor it thatit overtakesthe moonand notthe night(can) outstripthe daybut allinan orbitthey are floating
36:40
وَءَايَةٌۭلَّهُمْأَنَّاحَمَلْنَاذُرِّيَّتَهُمْفِىٱلْفُلْكِٱلْمَشْحُونِ
l-mashḥūnil-ful'kifīdhurriyyatahumḥamalnāannālahumwaāyatun
And a Signfor them(is) thatWe carriedtheir offspringinthe shipladen
36:41
وَخَلَقْنَالَهُممِّنمِّثْلِهِۦمَايَرْكَبُونَ
yarkabūnamāmith'lihiminlahumwakhalaqnā
And We createdfor themfrom(the) likes of itwhatthey ride
36:42
وَإِننَّشَأْنُغْرِقْهُمْفَلَاصَرِيخَلَهُمْوَلَاهُمْيُنقَذُونَ
yunqadhūnahumwalālahumṣarīkhafalānugh'riq'humnashawa-in
And ifWe willWe could drown themthen not(would be) a responder to a cryfor themand nottheywould be saved
36:43
إِلَّارَحْمَةًۭمِّنَّاوَمَتَـٰعًاإِلَىٰحِينٍۢ
ḥīninilāwamatāʿanminnāraḥmatanillā
Except(by) Mercyfrom Usand provisionfora time
36:44
وَإِذَاقِيلَلَهُمُٱتَّقُوا۟مَابَيْنَأَيْدِيكُمْوَمَاخَلْفَكُمْلَعَلَّكُمْتُرْحَمُونَ
tur'ḥamūnalaʿallakumkhalfakumwamāaydīkumbaynamāittaqūlahumuqīlawa-idhā
And whenit is saidto themFearwhat(is) before you(is) before youand what(is) behind youso that you mayreceive mercy
36:45
وَمَاتَأْتِيهِممِّنْءَايَةٍۢمِّنْءَايَـٰتِرَبِّهِمْإِلَّاكَانُوا۟عَنْهَامُعْرِضِينَ
muʿ'riḍīnaʿanhākānūillārabbihimāyātimināyatinmintatīhimwamā
And notcomes to themofa Signfrom(the) Signs(of) their Lordbuttheyfrom itturn away
36:46
وَإِذَاقِيلَلَهُمْأَنفِقُوا۟مِمَّارَزَقَكُمُٱللَّهُقَالَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟لِلَّذِينَءَامَنُوٓا۟أَنُطْعِمُمَنلَّوْيَشَآءُٱللَّهُأَطْعَمَهُۥٓإِنْأَنتُمْإِلَّافِىضَلَـٰلٍۢمُّبِينٍۢ
mubīninḍalālinfīillāantuminaṭʿamahul-lahuyashāulawmananuṭ'ʿimuāmanūlilladhīnakafarūalladhīnaqālal-lahurazaqakumumimmāanfiqūlahumqīlawa-idhā
And whenit is saidto themSpendfrom what(has) provided youAllahSaidthose whodisbelievedto those whobelievedShould we feedwhomifAllah willed Allah willed He would have fed himNot(are) youexceptinan errorclear
36:47
وَيَقُولُونَمَتَىٰهَـٰذَاٱلْوَعْدُإِنكُنتُمْصَـٰدِقِينَ
ṣādiqīnakuntuminl-waʿduhādhāmatāwayaqūlūna
And they sayWhen (is)thispromiseifyou aretruthful
36:48
مَايَنظُرُونَإِلَّاصَيْحَةًۭوَٰحِدَةًۭتَأْخُذُهُمْوَهُمْيَخِصِّمُونَ
yakhiṣṣimūnawahumtakhudhuhumwāḥidatanṣayḥatanillāyanẓurūnamā
Notthey awaitexcepta shoutoneit will seize themwhile theyare disputing
36:49
فَلَايَسْتَطِيعُونَتَوْصِيَةًۭوَلَآإِلَىٰٓأَهْلِهِمْيَرْجِعُونَ
yarjiʿūnaahlihimilāwalātawṣiyatanyastaṭīʿūnafalā
Then notthey will be able(to) make a willand nottotheir peoplethey (can) return
36:50
وَنُفِخَفِىٱلصُّورِفَإِذَاهُممِّنَٱلْأَجْدَاثِإِلَىٰرَبِّهِمْيَنسِلُونَ
yansilūnarabbihimilāl-ajdāthiminahumfa-idhāl-ṣūrifīwanufikha
And will be blown[in]the trumpetand beholdTheyfromthe gravestotheir Lord[they] will hasten
36:51
قَالُوا۟يَـٰوَيْلَنَامَنۢبَعَثَنَامِنمَّرْقَدِنَا ۜ ۗهَـٰذَامَاوَعَدَٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُوَصَدَقَٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
l-mur'salūnawaṣadaqal-raḥmānuwaʿadamāhādhāmarqadināminbaʿathanāmanyāwaylanāqālū
They [will] sayO woe to usWhohas raised usfromour sleeping placeThis (is)What(had) promisedthe Most Graciousand told (the) truththe Messengers
36:52
إِنكَانَتْإِلَّاصَيْحَةًۭوَٰحِدَةًۭفَإِذَاهُمْجَمِيعٌۭلَّدَيْنَامُحْضَرُونَ
muḥ'ḍarūnaladaynājamīʿunhumfa-idhāwāḥidatanṣayḥatanillākānatin
Notit will bebuta shoutsingleso beholdTheyallbefore Us(will be) brought
36:53
فَٱلْيَوْمَلَاتُظْلَمُنَفْسٌۭشَيْـًۭٔاوَلَاتُجْزَوْنَإِلَّامَاكُنتُمْتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnakuntummāillātuj'zawnawalāshayannafsuntuẓ'lamulāfal-yawma
So this Daynotwill be wrongeda soul(in) anythingand notyou will be recompensedexcept(for) whatyou used (to)do
36:54
إِنَّأَصْحَـٰبَٱلْجَنَّةِٱلْيَوْمَفِىشُغُلٍۢفَـٰكِهُونَ
fākihūnashughulinfīl-yawmal-janatiaṣḥābainna
Indeed(the) companions(of) Paradisethis Day[in]will be occupied(in) amusement
36:55
هُمْوَأَزْوَٰجُهُمْفِىظِلَـٰلٍعَلَىٱلْأَرَآئِكِمُتَّكِـُٔونَ
muttakiūnal-arāikiʿalāẓilālinfīwa-azwājuhumhum
Theyand their spousesinshadeson[the] couchesreclining
36:56
لَهُمْفِيهَافَـٰكِهَةٌۭوَلَهُممَّايَدَّعُونَ
yaddaʿūnamāwalahumfākihatunfīhālahum
For themtherein(are) fruitsand for them(is) whateverthey call for
36:57
سَلَـٰمٌۭقَوْلًۭامِّنرَّبٍّۢرَّحِيمٍۢ
raḥīminrabbinminqawlansalāmun
PeaceA wordfroma LordMost Merciful
36:58
وَٱمْتَـٰزُوا۟ٱلْيَوْمَأَيُّهَاٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
l-muj'rimūnaayyuhāl-yawmawa-im'tāzū
But stand aparttodayO criminalsO criminals
36:59
۞ أَلَمْأَعْهَدْإِلَيْكُمْيَـٰبَنِىٓءَادَمَأَنلَّاتَعْبُدُوا۟ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ ۖإِنَّهُۥلَكُمْعَدُوٌّۭمُّبِينٌۭ
mubīnunʿaduwwunlakuminnahul-shayṭānataʿbudūlāanādamayābanīilaykumaʿhadalam
Did notI enjoinupon youO Children of AdamO Children of AdamThat(do) notworshipthe Shaitaanindeed, he(is) for youan enemyclear
36:60
وَأَنِٱعْبُدُونِى ۚهَـٰذَاصِرَٰطٌۭمُّسْتَقِيمٌۭ
mus'taqīmunṣirāṭunhādhāuʿ'budūnīwa-ani
And thatyou worship MeThis(is) a PathStraight
36:61
وَلَقَدْأَضَلَّمِنكُمْجِبِلًّۭاكَثِيرًا ۖأَفَلَمْتَكُونُوا۟تَعْقِلُونَ
taʿqilūnatakūnūafalamkathīranjibillanminkumaḍallawalaqad
And indeedhe led astrayfrom youa multitudegreatThen did notyouuse reason
36:62
هَـٰذِهِۦجَهَنَّمُٱلَّتِىكُنتُمْتُوعَدُونَ
tūʿadūnakuntumallatījahannamuhādhihi
This (is)(the) Hellwhichyou werepromised
36:63
ٱصْلَوْهَاٱلْيَوْمَبِمَاكُنتُمْتَكْفُرُونَ
takfurūnakuntumbimāl-yawmaiṣ'lawhā
Burn thereintodaybecauseyou used todisbelieve
36:64
ٱلْيَوْمَنَخْتِمُعَلَىٰٓأَفْوَٰهِهِمْوَتُكَلِّمُنَآأَيْدِيهِمْوَتَشْهَدُأَرْجُلُهُمبِمَاكَانُوا۟يَكْسِبُونَ
yaksibūnakānūbimāarjuluhumwatashhaduaydīhimwatukallimunāafwāhihimʿalānakhtimual-yawma
This DayWe will seal[on]their mouthsand will speak to Ustheir handsand will bear witnesstheir feetabout whatthey used toearn
36:65
وَلَوْنَشَآءُلَطَمَسْنَاعَلَىٰٓأَعْيُنِهِمْفَٱسْتَبَقُوا۟ٱلصِّرَٰطَفَأَنَّىٰيُبْصِرُونَ
yub'ṣirūnafa-annāl-ṣirāṭafa-is'tabaqūaʿyunihimʿalālaṭamasnānashāuwalaw
And ifWe willedWe (would have) surely obliterated[over]their eyesthen they (would) race(to find) the paththen how(could) they see
36:66
وَلَوْنَشَآءُلَمَسَخْنَـٰهُمْعَلَىٰمَكَانَتِهِمْفَمَاٱسْتَطَـٰعُوا۟مُضِيًّۭاوَلَايَرْجِعُونَ
yarjiʿūnawalāmuḍiyyanis'taṭāʿūfamāmakānatihimʿalālamasakhnāhumnashāuwalaw
And ifWe willedsurely, We (would have) transformed themintheir placesthen notthey would have been ableto proceedand notreturn
36:67
وَمَننُّعَمِّرْهُنُنَكِّسْهُفِىٱلْخَلْقِ ۖأَفَلَايَعْقِلُونَ
yaʿqilūnaafalāl-khalqifīnunakkis'hunuʿammir'huwaman
And (he) whomWe grant him long lifeWe reverse himinthe creationThen will notthey use intellect
36:68
وَمَاعَلَّمْنَـٰهُٱلشِّعْرَوَمَايَنۢبَغِىلَهُۥٓ ۚإِنْهُوَإِلَّاذِكْرٌۭوَقُرْءَانٌۭمُّبِينٌۭ
mubīnunwaqur'ānundhik'runillāhuwainlahuyanbaghīwamāl-shiʿ'raʿallamnāhuwamā
And notWe taught him[the] poetryand notit is befittingfor himNotit(is) excepta Reminderand a Quranclear
36:69
لِّيُنذِرَمَنكَانَحَيًّۭاوَيَحِقَّٱلْقَوْلُعَلَىٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīnaʿalāl-qawluwayaḥiqqaḥayyankānamanliyundhira
To warn(him) whoisaliveand may be proved truethe Wordagainstthe disbelievers
36:70
أَوَلَمْيَرَوْا۟أَنَّاخَلَقْنَالَهُممِّمَّاعَمِلَتْأَيْدِينَآأَنْعَـٰمًۭافَهُمْلَهَامَـٰلِكُونَ
mālikūnalahāfahumanʿāmanaydīnāʿamilatmimmālahumkhalaqnāannāyarawawalam
Do notthey seethat We[We] createdfor themfrom whathave madeOur handscattlethen they[for them](are the) owners
36:71
وَذَلَّلْنَـٰهَالَهُمْفَمِنْهَارَكُوبُهُمْوَمِنْهَايَأْكُلُونَ
yakulūnawamin'hārakūbuhumfamin'hālahumwadhallalnāhā
And We have tamed themfor themso some of them they ride themand some of themthey eat
36:72
وَلَهُمْفِيهَامَنَـٰفِعُوَمَشَارِبُ ۖأَفَلَايَشْكُرُونَ
yashkurūnaafalāwamashāribumanāfiʿufīhāwalahum
And for themtherein(are) benefitsand drinksso (will) notthey give thanks
36:73
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟مِندُونِٱللَّهِءَالِهَةًۭلَّعَلَّهُمْيُنصَرُونَ
yunṣarūnalaʿallahumālihatanl-lahidūniminwa-ittakhadhū
But they have takenbesidesbesidesAllahgodsthat they maybe helped
36:74
لَايَسْتَطِيعُونَنَصْرَهُمْوَهُمْلَهُمْجُندٌۭمُّحْضَرُونَ
muḥ'ḍarūnajundunlahumwahumnaṣrahumyastaṭīʿūnalā
Notthey are ableto help thembut they for them(are) hosts(who will) be brought
36:75
فَلَايَحْزُنكَقَوْلُهُمْ ۘإِنَّانَعْلَمُمَايُسِرُّونَوَمَايُعْلِنُونَ
yuʿ'linūnawamāyusirrūnamānaʿlamuinnāqawluhumyaḥzunkafalā
So (let) notgrieve youtheir speechIndeed, We[We] knowwhatthey concealand whatthey declare
36:76
أَوَلَمْيَرَٱلْإِنسَـٰنُأَنَّاخَلَقْنَـٰهُمِننُّطْفَةٍۢفَإِذَاهُوَخَصِيمٌۭمُّبِينٌۭ
mubīnunkhaṣīmunhuwafa-idhānuṭ'fatinminkhalaqnāhuannāl-insānuyaraawalam
Does notsee[the] manthat We[We] created himfroma semen-dropThen beholdHe(is) an opponentclear
36:77
وَضَرَبَلَنَامَثَلًۭاوَنَسِىَخَلْقَهُۥ ۖقَالَمَنيُحْىِٱلْعِظَـٰمَوَهِىَرَمِيمٌۭ
ramīmunwahiyal-ʿiẓāmayuḥ'yīmanqālakhalqahuwanasiyamathalanlanāwaḍaraba
And he sets forthfor Usan exampleand forgetshis (own) creationHe saysWhowill give life(to) the boneswhile they(are) decomposed
36:78
قُلْيُحْيِيهَاٱلَّذِىٓأَنشَأَهَآأَوَّلَمَرَّةٍۢ ۖوَهُوَبِكُلِّخَلْقٍعَلِيمٌ
ʿalīmunkhalqinbikulliwahuwamarratinawwalaansha-ahāalladhīyuḥ'yīhāqul
SayHe will give them lifeWhoproduced them(the) firsttimeand He(is) of everycreationAll-Knower
36:79
ٱلَّذِىجَعَلَلَكُممِّنَٱلشَّجَرِٱلْأَخْضَرِنَارًۭافَإِذَآأَنتُممِّنْهُتُوقِدُونَ
tūqidūnamin'huantumfa-idhānāranl-akhḍaril-shajariminalakumjaʿalaalladhī
The One Whomadefor youfromthe tree[the] green fireand beholdYoufrom itignite
36:80
أَوَلَيْسَٱلَّذِىخَلَقَٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضَبِقَـٰدِرٍعَلَىٰٓأَنيَخْلُقَمِثْلَهُم ۚبَلَىٰوَهُوَٱلْخَلَّـٰقُٱلْعَلِيمُ
l-ʿalīmul-khalāquwahuwabalāmith'lahumyakhluqaanʿalābiqādirinwal-arḍal-samāwātikhalaqaalladhīawalaysa
Is it not(He) Whocreatedthe heavensand the earthAbleto[that]create(the) like of themYes, indeedand He(is) the Supreme Creatorthe All-Knower
36:81
إِنَّمَآأَمْرُهُۥٓإِذَآأَرَادَشَيْـًٔاأَنيَقُولَلَهُۥكُنفَيَكُونُ
fayakūnukunlahuyaqūlaanshayanarādaidhāamruhuinnamā
OnlyHis CommandwhenHe intendsa thingthatHe saysto itBeand it is
36:82
فَسُبْحَـٰنَٱلَّذِىبِيَدِهِۦمَلَكُوتُكُلِّشَىْءٍۢوَإِلَيْهِتُرْجَعُونَ
tur'jaʿūnawa-ilayhishayinkullimalakūtubiyadihialladhīfasub'ḥāna
So glory be(to) the One whoin Whose handis (the) dominion(of) allthingsand to Himyou will be returned
36:83
Basmala
وَٱلصَّـٰٓفَّـٰتِصَفًّۭا
ṣaffanwal-ṣāfāti
By those lined(in) rows
37:1
فَٱلزَّٰجِرَٰتِزَجْرًۭا
zajranfal-zājirāti
And those who drivestrongly
37:2
فَٱلتَّـٰلِيَـٰتِذِكْرًا
dhik'ranfal-tāliyāti
And those who recite(the) Message
37:3
إِنَّإِلَـٰهَكُمْلَوَٰحِدٌۭ
lawāḥidunilāhakuminna
Indeedyour Lord(is) surely One
37:4
رَّبُّٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِوَمَابَيْنَهُمَاوَرَبُّٱلْمَشَـٰرِقِ
l-mashāriqiwarabbubaynahumāwamāwal-arḍil-samāwātirabbu
Lord(of) the heavensand the earthand what(is) between both of themand Lord(of) each point of sunrise
37:5
إِنَّازَيَّنَّاٱلسَّمَآءَٱلدُّنْيَابِزِينَةٍٱلْكَوَاكِبِ
l-kawākibibizīnatinl-dun'yāl-samāazayyannāinnā
Indeed, We[We] adornedthe sky[the world]with an adornment(of) the stars
37:6
وَحِفْظًۭامِّنكُلِّشَيْطَـٰنٍۢمَّارِدٍۢ
māridinshayṭāninkulliminwaḥif'ẓan
And (to) guardagainsteverydevilrebellious
37:7
لَّايَسَّمَّعُونَإِلَىٱلْمَلَإِٱلْأَعْلَىٰوَيُقْذَفُونَمِنكُلِّجَانِبٍۢ
jānibinkulliminwayuq'dhafūnal-aʿlāl-mala-iilāyassammaʿūnalā
Notthey may listentothe assembly[the] exaltedare peltedfromeveryside
37:8
دُحُورًۭا ۖوَلَهُمْعَذَابٌۭوَاصِبٌ
wāṣibunʿadhābunwalahumduḥūran
Repelledand for them(is) a punishmentperpetual
37:9
إِلَّامَنْخَطِفَٱلْخَطْفَةَفَأَتْبَعَهُۥشِهَابٌۭثَاقِبٌۭ
thāqibunshihābunfa-atbaʿahul-khaṭfatakhaṭifamanillā
Except(him) whosnatches(by) theftbut follows hima burning flamepiercing
37:10
فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْأَهُمْأَشَدُّخَلْقًاأَممَّنْخَلَقْنَآ ۚإِنَّاخَلَقْنَـٰهُممِّنطِينٍۢلَّازِبٍۭ
lāzibinṭīninminkhalaqnāhuminnākhalaqnāmanamkhalqanashadduahumfa-is'taftihim
Then ask themAre theya strongercreationor(those) whomWe have createdIndeed, Wecreated themfroma claysticky
37:11
بَلْعَجِبْتَوَيَسْخَرُونَ
wayaskharūnaʿajib'tabal
Nayyou wonderwhile they mock
37:12
وَإِذَاذُكِّرُوا۟لَايَذْكُرُونَ
yadhkurūnalādhukkirūwa-idhā
And whenthey are remindednotthey receive admonition
37:13
وَإِذَارَأَوْا۟ءَايَةًۭيَسْتَسْخِرُونَ
yastaskhirūnaāyatanra-awwa-idhā
And whenthey seea Signthey mock
37:14
وَقَالُوٓا۟إِنْهَـٰذَآإِلَّاسِحْرٌۭمُّبِينٌ
mubīnunsiḥ'runillāhādhāinwaqālū
And they sayNot(is) thisexcepta magicclear
37:15
أَءِذَامِتْنَاوَكُنَّاتُرَابًۭاوَعِظَـٰمًاأَءِنَّالَمَبْعُوثُونَ
lamabʿūthūnaa-innāwaʿiẓāmanturābanwakunnāmit'nāa-idhā
Is it whenwe are deadand have becomedustand bonesshall we thenbe certainly resurrected
37:16
أَوَءَابَآؤُنَاٱلْأَوَّلُونَ
l-awalūnaawaābāunā
Or our fathersformer
37:17
قُلْنَعَمْوَأَنتُمْدَٰخِرُونَ
dākhirūnawa-antumnaʿamqul
SayYesand you(will be) humiliated
37:18
فَإِنَّمَاهِىَزَجْرَةٌۭوَٰحِدَةٌۭفَإِذَاهُمْيَنظُرُونَ
yanẓurūnahumfa-idhāwāḥidatunzajratunhiyafa-innamā
Then onlyit(will be) a crysinglethen, beholdTheywill see
37:19
وَقَالُوا۟يَـٰوَيْلَنَاهَـٰذَايَوْمُٱلدِّينِ
l-dīniyawmuhādhāyāwaylanāwaqālū
And they will sayO woe to usThis(is the) Day(of) the Recompense
37:20
هَـٰذَايَوْمُٱلْفَصْلِٱلَّذِىكُنتُمبِهِۦتُكَذِّبُونَ
tukadhibūnabihikuntumalladhīl-faṣliyawmuhādhā
This(is the) Day(of) Judgmentwhichyou used to[of it]deny
37:21
۞ ٱحْشُرُوا۟ٱلَّذِينَظَلَمُوا۟وَأَزْوَٰجَهُمْوَمَاكَانُوا۟يَعْبُدُونَ
yaʿbudūnakānūwamāwa-azwājahumẓalamūalladhīnauḥ'shurū
Gatherthose whowrongedand their kindsand whatthey used (to)worship
37:22
مِندُونِٱللَّهِفَٱهْدُوهُمْإِلَىٰصِرَٰطِٱلْجَحِيمِ
l-jaḥīmiṣirāṭiilāfa-ih'dūhuml-lahidūnimin
BesidesBesidesAllahthen lead themto(the) Path(of) the Hellfire
37:23
وَقِفُوهُمْ ۖإِنَّهُممَّسْـُٔولُونَ
masūlūnainnahumwaqifūhum
And stop themindeed, they(are) to be questioned
37:24
مَالَكُمْلَاتَنَاصَرُونَ
tanāṣarūnalālakummā
What(is) for you(Why) notyou help one another
37:25
بَلْهُمُٱلْيَوْمَمُسْتَسْلِمُونَ
mus'taslimūnal-yawmahumubal
Naythey(on) that Day(will) surrender
37:26
وَأَقْبَلَبَعْضُهُمْعَلَىٰبَعْضٍۢيَتَسَآءَلُونَ
yatasāalūnabaʿḍinʿalābaʿḍuhumwa-aqbala
And will approachsome of themtoothersquestioning one another
37:27
قَالُوٓا۟إِنَّكُمْكُنتُمْتَأْتُونَنَاعَنِٱلْيَمِينِ
l-yamīniʿanitatūnanākuntuminnakumqālū
They will sayIndeed, you[you] used (to)come (to) usfromthe right
37:28
قَالُوا۟بَللَّمْتَكُونُوا۟مُؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnatakūnūlambalqālū
They will sayNaynotyou werebelievers
37:29
وَمَاكَانَلَنَاعَلَيْكُممِّنسُلْطَـٰنٍۭ ۖبَلْكُنتُمْقَوْمًۭاطَـٰغِينَ
ṭāghīnaqawmankuntumbalsul'ṭāninminʿalaykumlanākānawamā
And notwasfor usover youanyauthorityNayyou werea peopletransgressing
37:30
فَحَقَّعَلَيْنَاقَوْلُرَبِّنَآ ۖإِنَّالَذَآئِقُونَ
ladhāiqūnainnārabbināqawluʿalaynāfaḥaqqa
So has been proved trueagainst us(the) Word(of) our Lordindeed, we(will) certainly taste
37:31
فَأَغْوَيْنَـٰكُمْإِنَّاكُنَّاغَـٰوِينَ
ghāwīnakunnāinnāfa-aghwaynākum
So we led you astrayindeed, wewereastray
37:32
فَإِنَّهُمْيَوْمَئِذٍۢفِىٱلْعَذَابِمُشْتَرِكُونَ
mush'tarikūnal-ʿadhābifīyawma-idhinfa-innahum
Then indeed, theythat Dayinthe punishment(will be) sharers
37:33
إِنَّاكَذَٰلِكَنَفْعَلُبِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
bil-muj'rimīnanafʿalukadhālikainnā
Indeed, WethusWe dealwith the criminals
37:34
إِنَّهُمْكَانُوٓا۟إِذَاقِيلَلَهُمْلَآإِلَـٰهَإِلَّاٱللَّهُيَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
yastakbirūnal-lahuillāilāhalālahumqīlaidhākānūinnahum
Indeed, theywerewhenit was saidto them(There is) nogodexceptAllahwere arrogant
37:35
وَيَقُولُونَأَئِنَّالَتَارِكُوٓا۟ءَالِهَتِنَالِشَاعِرٍۢمَّجْنُونٍۭ
majnūninlishāʿirinālihatinālatārikūa-innāwayaqūlūna
And they sayAre weto leaveour godsfor a poetmad
37:36
بَلْجَآءَبِٱلْحَقِّوَصَدَّقَٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
l-mur'salīnawaṣaddaqabil-ḥaqijāabal
Nayhe has broughtthe truthand confirmedthe Messengers
37:37
إِنَّكُمْلَذَآئِقُوا۟ٱلْعَذَابِٱلْأَلِيمِ
l-alīmil-ʿadhābiladhāiqūinnakum
Indeed, you(will) surely tastethe punishmentpainful
37:38
وَمَاتُجْزَوْنَإِلَّامَاكُنتُمْتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnakuntummāillātuj'zawnawamā
And notyou will be recompensedexceptwhatyou used todo
37:39
إِلَّاعِبَادَٱللَّهِٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
l-mukh'laṣīnal-lahiʿibādaillā
Except(the) slaves(of) Allahthe chosen ones
37:40
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَلَهُمْرِزْقٌۭمَّعْلُومٌۭ
maʿlūmunriz'qunlahumulāika
Thosefor them(will be) a provisiondetermined
37:41
فَوَٰكِهُ ۖوَهُممُّكْرَمُونَ
muk'ramūnawahumfawākihu
Fruitsand they(will) be honored
37:42
فِىجَنَّـٰتِٱلنَّعِيمِ
l-naʿīmijannātifī
InGardens(of) Delight
37:43
عَلَىٰسُرُرٍۢمُّتَقَـٰبِلِينَ
mutaqābilīnasururinʿalā
Onthronesfacing each other
37:44
يُطَافُعَلَيْهِمبِكَأْسٍۢمِّنمَّعِينٍۭ
maʿīninminbikasinʿalayhimyuṭāfu
Will be circulatedamong thema cupfroma flowing spring
37:45
بَيْضَآءَلَذَّةٍۢلِّلشَّـٰرِبِينَ
lilshāribīnaladhatinbayḍāa
Whitedeliciousfor the drinkers
37:46
لَافِيهَاغَوْلٌۭوَلَاهُمْعَنْهَايُنزَفُونَ
yunzafūnaʿanhāhumwalāghawlunfīhālā
Notin it(is) bad effectand nottheyfrom itwill be intoxicated
37:47
وَعِندَهُمْقَـٰصِرَٰتُٱلطَّرْفِعِينٌۭ
ʿīnunl-ṭarfiqāṣirātuwaʿindahum
And with them(will be) companions of modest gaze(will be) companions of modest gaze(having) beautiful eyes
37:48
كَأَنَّهُنَّبَيْضٌۭمَّكْنُونٌۭ
maknūnunbayḍunka-annahunna
As if they wereeggswell protected
37:49
فَأَقْبَلَبَعْضُهُمْعَلَىٰبَعْضٍۢيَتَسَآءَلُونَ
yatasāalūnabaʿḍinʿalābaʿḍuhumfa-aqbala
And (will) approachsome of themtoothersquestioning one another
37:50
قَالَقَآئِلٌۭمِّنْهُمْإِنِّىكَانَلِىقَرِينٌۭ
qarīnunlīkānainnīmin'humqāilunqāla
Will saya speakeramong themIndeed, Ihadfor mea companion
37:51
يَقُولُأَءِنَّكَلَمِنَٱلْمُصَدِّقِينَ
l-muṣadiqīnalaminaa-innakayaqūlu
Who (would) sayAre you indeedsurely ofthose who believe
37:52
أَءِذَامِتْنَاوَكُنَّاتُرَابًۭاوَعِظَـٰمًاأَءِنَّالَمَدِينُونَ
lamadīnūnaa-innāwaʿiẓāmanturābanwakunnāmit'nāa-idhā
Is (it) whenwe have diedand becomedustand boneswill wesurely be brought to Judgment
37:53
قَالَهَلْأَنتُممُّطَّلِعُونَ
muṭṭaliʿūnaantumhalqāla
He (will) sayWillyoube looking
37:54
فَٱطَّلَعَفَرَءَاهُفِىسَوَآءِٱلْجَحِيمِ
l-jaḥīmisawāifīfaraāhufa-iṭṭalaʿa
Then he (will) lookand see himin(the) midst(of) the Hellfire
37:55
قَالَتَٱللَّهِإِنكِدتَّلَتُرْدِينِ
latur'dīnikidttaintal-lahiqāla
He (will) sayBy Allahverilyyou almostruined me
37:56
وَلَوْلَانِعْمَةُرَبِّىلَكُنتُمِنَٱلْمُحْضَرِينَ
l-muḥ'ḍarīnaminalakunturabbīniʿ'matuwalawlā
And if not(for the) Grace(of) my Lordcertainly, I (would) have beenamongthose brought
37:57
أَفَمَانَحْنُبِمَيِّتِينَ
bimayyitīnanaḥnuafamā
Then are notwe(to) die
37:58
إِلَّامَوْتَتَنَاٱلْأُولَىٰوَمَانَحْنُبِمُعَذَّبِينَ
bimuʿadhabīnanaḥnuwamāl-ūlāmawtatanāillā
Exceptour deaththe firstand notwewill be punished
37:59
إِنَّهَـٰذَالَهُوَٱلْفَوْزُٱلْعَظِيمُ
l-ʿaẓīmul-fawzulahuwahādhāinna
Indeedthissurely(is) the attainmentgreat
37:60
لِمِثْلِهَـٰذَافَلْيَعْمَلِٱلْعَـٰمِلُونَ
l-ʿāmilūnafalyaʿmalihādhālimith'li
For (the) like(of) thislet workthe workers
37:61
أَذَٰلِكَخَيْرٌۭنُّزُلًاأَمْشَجَرَةُٱلزَّقُّومِ
l-zaqūmishajaratuamnuzulankhayrunadhālika
Is thatbetter(as) hospitalityor(the) tree(of) Zaqqum
37:62
إِنَّاجَعَلْنَـٰهَافِتْنَةًۭلِّلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
lilẓẓālimīnafit'natanjaʿalnāhāinnā
Indeed, We[We] have made ita trialfor the wrongdoers
37:63
إِنَّهَاشَجَرَةٌۭتَخْرُجُفِىٓأَصْلِٱلْجَحِيمِ
l-jaḥīmiaṣlifītakhrujushajaratuninnahā
Indeed, it(is) a treethat growsin(the) bottom(of) the Hellfire
37:64
طَلْعُهَاكَأَنَّهُۥرُءُوسُٱلشَّيَـٰطِينِ
l-shayāṭīniruūsuka-annahuṭalʿuhā
Its emerging fruit(is) as if it(was) heads(of) the devils
37:65
فَإِنَّهُمْلَـَٔاكِلُونَمِنْهَافَمَالِـُٔونَمِنْهَاٱلْبُطُونَ
l-buṭūnamin'hāfamāliūnamin'hālaākilūnafa-innahum
And indeed, they(will) surely eatfrom itand fillwith it(their) bellies
37:66
ثُمَّإِنَّلَهُمْعَلَيْهَالَشَوْبًۭامِّنْحَمِيمٍۢ
ḥamīminminlashawbanʿalayhālahuminnathumma
Thenindeedfor themin it(is) a mixtureofboiling water
37:67
ثُمَّإِنَّمَرْجِعَهُمْلَإِلَىٱلْجَحِيمِ
l-jaḥīmila-ilāmarjiʿahuminnathumma
Thenindeedtheir return(will) surely be tothe Hellfire
37:68
إِنَّهُمْأَلْفَوْا۟ءَابَآءَهُمْضَآلِّينَ
ḍāllīnaābāahumalfawinnahum
Indeed, theyfoundtheir fathersastray
37:69
فَهُمْعَلَىٰٓءَاثَـٰرِهِمْيُهْرَعُونَ
yuh'raʿūnaāthārihimʿalāfahum
So theyontheir footstepsthey hastened
37:70
وَلَقَدْضَلَّقَبْلَهُمْأَكْثَرُٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnaaktharuqablahumḍallawalaqad
And verilywent astraybefore themmost(of) the former (people)
37:71
وَلَقَدْأَرْسَلْنَافِيهِممُّنذِرِينَ
mundhirīnafīhimarsalnāwalaqad
And verilyWe sentamong themwarners
37:72
فَٱنظُرْكَيْفَكَانَعَـٰقِبَةُٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
l-mundharīnaʿāqibatukānakayfafa-unẓur
Then seehowwas(the) end(of) those who were warned
37:73
إِلَّاعِبَادَٱللَّهِٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
l-mukh'laṣīnal-lahiʿibādaillā
Except(the) slaves(of) Allahthe chosen ones
37:74
وَلَقَدْنَادَىٰنَانُوحٌۭفَلَنِعْمَٱلْمُجِيبُونَ
l-mujībūnafalaniʿ'manūḥunnādānāwalaqad
And verilycalled UsNuhand Best(are We as) Responders
37:75
وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُوَأَهْلَهُۥمِنَٱلْكَرْبِٱلْعَظِيمِ
l-ʿaẓīmil-karbiminawa-ahlahuwanajjaynāhu
And We saved himand his familyfromthe distressthe great
37:76
وَجَعَلْنَاذُرِّيَّتَهُۥهُمُٱلْبَاقِينَ
l-bāqīnahumudhurriyyatahuwajaʿalnā
And We madehis offspring[they]the survivors
37:77
وَتَرَكْنَاعَلَيْهِفِىٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
l-ākhirīnafīʿalayhiwataraknā
And We leftfor himamongthe later generations
37:78
سَلَـٰمٌعَلَىٰنُوحٍۢفِىٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnafīnūḥinʿalāsalāmun
Peace beuponNuhamongthe worlds
37:79
إِنَّاكَذَٰلِكَنَجْزِىٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
l-muḥ'sinīnanajzīkadhālikainnā
Indeed, Wethus[We] rewardthe good-doers
37:80
إِنَّهُۥمِنْعِبَادِنَاٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnaʿibādināmininnahu
Indeed, he(was) ofOur slavesbelieving
37:81
ثُمَّأَغْرَقْنَاٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
l-ākharīnaaghraqnāthumma
ThenWe drownedthe others
37:82
۞ وَإِنَّمِنشِيعَتِهِۦلَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ
la-ib'rāhīmashīʿatihiminwa-inna
And indeedamonghis kind(was) surely Ibrahim
37:83
إِذْجَآءَرَبَّهُۥبِقَلْبٍۢسَلِيمٍ
salīminbiqalbinrabbahujāaidh
Whenhe came(to) his Lordwith a heartsound
37:84
إِذْقَالَلِأَبِيهِوَقَوْمِهِۦمَاذَاتَعْبُدُونَ
taʿbudūnamādhāwaqawmihili-abīhiqālaidh
Whenhe saidto his fatherand his peopleWhat is ityou worship
37:85
أَئِفْكًاءَالِهَةًۭدُونَٱللَّهِتُرِيدُونَ
turīdūnal-lahidūnaālihatana-if'kan
Is it falsehood godsother thanAllah (that) you desire
37:86
فَمَاظَنُّكُمبِرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnabirabbiẓannukumfamā
Then what(do) you thinkabout (the) Lord(of) the worlds
37:87
فَنَظَرَنَظْرَةًۭفِىٱلنُّجُومِ
l-nujūmifīnaẓratanfanaẓara
Then he glanceda glanceatthe stars
37:88
فَقَالَإِنِّىسَقِيمٌۭ
saqīmuninnīfaqāla
And he saidIndeed, I amsick
37:89
فَتَوَلَّوْا۟عَنْهُمُدْبِرِينَ
mud'birīnaʿanhufatawallaw
So they turned awayfrom himdeparting
37:90
فَرَاغَإِلَىٰٓءَالِهَتِهِمْفَقَالَأَلَاتَأْكُلُونَ
takulūnaalāfaqālaālihatihimilāfarāgha
Then he turnedtotheir godsand saidDo notyou eat
37:91
مَالَكُمْلَاتَنطِقُونَ
tanṭiqūnalālakummā
What (is)for younotyou speak
37:92
فَرَاغَعَلَيْهِمْضَرْبًۢابِٱلْيَمِينِ
bil-yamīniḍarbanʿalayhimfarāgha
Then he turnedupon themstrikingwith the right hand
37:93
فَأَقْبَلُوٓا۟إِلَيْهِيَزِفُّونَ
yaziffūnailayhifa-aqbalū
Then they advancedtowards himhastening
37:94
قَالَأَتَعْبُدُونَمَاتَنْحِتُونَ
tanḥitūnamāataʿbudūnaqāla
He saidDo you worshipwhatyou carve
37:95
وَٱللَّهُخَلَقَكُمْوَمَاتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnawamākhalaqakumwal-lahu
While Allahcreated youand whatyou make
37:96
قَالُوا۟ٱبْنُوا۟لَهُۥبُنْيَـٰنًۭافَأَلْقُوهُفِىٱلْجَحِيمِ
l-jaḥīmifīfa-alqūhubun'yānanlahuib'nūqālū
They saidBuildfor hima structureand throw himintothe blazing Fire
37:97
فَأَرَادُوا۟بِهِۦكَيْدًۭافَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمُٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ
l-asfalīnafajaʿalnāhumukaydanbihifa-arādū
And they intendedfor hima plotbut We made themthe lowest
37:98
وَقَالَإِنِّىذَاهِبٌإِلَىٰرَبِّىسَيَهْدِينِ
sayahdīnirabbīilādhāhibuninnīwaqāla
And he saidIndeed, I amgoingtomy LordHe will guide me
37:99
رَبِّهَبْلِىمِنَٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
l-ṣāliḥīnaminalīhabrabbi
My Lordgrantmeofthe righteous
37:100
فَبَشَّرْنَـٰهُبِغُلَـٰمٍحَلِيمٍۢ
ḥalīminbighulāminfabasharnāhu
So We gave him the glad tidingsof a boyforbearing
37:101
فَلَمَّابَلَغَمَعَهُٱلسَّعْىَقَالَيَـٰبُنَىَّإِنِّىٓأَرَىٰفِىٱلْمَنَامِأَنِّىٓأَذْبَحُكَفَٱنظُرْمَاذَاتَرَىٰ ۚقَالَيَـٰٓأَبَتِٱفْعَلْمَاتُؤْمَرُ ۖسَتَجِدُنِىٓإِنشَآءَٱللَّهُمِنَٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ
l-ṣābirīnaminal-lahushāainsatajidunītu'marumāif'ʿalyāabatiqālatarāmādhāfa-unẓuradhbaḥukaannīl-manāmifīarāinnīyābunayyaqālal-saʿyamaʿahubalaghafalammā
Then whenhe reachedthe (age of) working with himthe (age of) working with himhe saidO my sonIndeed, Ihave seeninthe dreamthat I amsacrificing youso lookwhatyou seeHe saidO my fatherDowhatyou are commandedYou will find meifAllah willsAllah willsofthe patient ones
37:102
فَلَمَّآأَسْلَمَاوَتَلَّهُۥلِلْجَبِينِ
lil'jabīniwatallahuaslamāfalammā
Then whenboth of them had submittedand he put him downupon his forehead
37:103
وَنَـٰدَيْنَـٰهُأَنيَـٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ
yāib'rāhīmuanwanādaynāhu
And We called out to himthatO Ibrahim
37:104
قَدْصَدَّقْتَٱلرُّءْيَآ ۚإِنَّاكَذَٰلِكَنَجْزِىٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
l-muḥ'sinīnanajzīkadhālikainnāl-ru'yāṣaddaqtaqad
Verilyyou have fulfilledthe visionIndeed, Wethus[We] rewardthe good-doers
37:105
إِنَّهَـٰذَالَهُوَٱلْبَلَـٰٓؤُا۟ٱلْمُبِينُ
l-mubīnul-balāulahuwahādhāinna
Indeedthis(was) surely [it]the trialclear
37:106
وَفَدَيْنَـٰهُبِذِبْحٍعَظِيمٍۢ
ʿaẓīminbidhib'ḥinwafadaynāhu
And We ransomed himwith a sacrificegreat
37:107
وَتَرَكْنَاعَلَيْهِفِىٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
l-ākhirīnafīʿalayhiwataraknā
And We leftfor himamongthe later generations
37:108
سَلَـٰمٌعَلَىٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمَ
ib'rāhīmaʿalāsalāmun
Peace beonIbrahim
37:109
كَذَٰلِكَنَجْزِىٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
l-muḥ'sinīnanajzīkadhālika
ThusWe rewardthe good-doers
37:110
إِنَّهُۥمِنْعِبَادِنَاٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnaʿibādināmininnahu
Indeed, he (was)ofOur slavesbelieving
37:111
وَبَشَّرْنَـٰهُبِإِسْحَـٰقَنَبِيًّۭامِّنَٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
l-ṣāliḥīnaminanabiyyanbi-is'ḥāqawabasharnāhu
And We gave him glad tidingsof Isaaca Prophetamongthe righteous
37:112
وَبَـٰرَكْنَاعَلَيْهِوَعَلَىٰٓإِسْحَـٰقَ ۚوَمِنذُرِّيَّتِهِمَامُحْسِنٌۭوَظَالِمٌۭلِّنَفْسِهِۦمُبِينٌۭ
mubīnunlinafsihiwaẓālimunmuḥ'sinundhurriyyatihimāwaminis'ḥāqawaʿalāʿalayhiwabāraknā
And We blessedhimand [on]IsaacAnd oftheir offspring(are) good-doersand unjustto himselfclear
37:113
وَلَقَدْمَنَنَّاعَلَىٰمُوسَىٰوَهَـٰرُونَ
wahārūnamūsāʿalāmanannāwalaqad
And verilyWe conferred FavoruponMusaand Harun
37:114
وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُمَاوَقَوْمَهُمَامِنَٱلْكَرْبِٱلْعَظِيمِ
l-ʿaẓīmil-karbiminawaqawmahumāwanajjaynāhumā
And We saved both of themand their peoplefromthe distressthe great
37:115
وَنَصَرْنَـٰهُمْفَكَانُوا۟هُمُٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ
l-ghālibīnahumufakānūwanaṣarnāhum
And We helped themso they becameso they becamethe victors
37:116
وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمَاٱلْكِتَـٰبَٱلْمُسْتَبِينَ
l-mus'tabīnal-kitābawaātaynāhumā
And We gave both of themthe Bookthe clear
37:117
وَهَدَيْنَـٰهُمَاٱلصِّرَٰطَٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ
l-mus'taqīmal-ṣirāṭawahadaynāhumā
And We guided both of them(to) the Paththe Straight
37:118
وَتَرَكْنَاعَلَيْهِمَافِىٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
l-ākhirīnafīʿalayhimāwataraknā
And We leftfor both of themamongthe later generations
37:119
سَلَـٰمٌعَلَىٰمُوسَىٰوَهَـٰرُونَ
wahārūnamūsāʿalāsalāmun
Peace beuponMusaand Harun
37:120
إِنَّاكَذَٰلِكَنَجْزِىٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
l-muḥ'sinīnanajzīkadhālikainnā
Indeed, Wethusrewardthe good-doers
37:121
إِنَّهُمَامِنْعِبَادِنَاٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnaʿibādināmininnahumā
Indeed, both of them(were) ofOur slavesbelieving
37:122
وَإِنَّإِلْيَاسَلَمِنَٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
l-mur'salīnalaminail'yāsawa-inna
And indeedElijah(was) surely ofthe Messengers
37:123
إِذْقَالَلِقَوْمِهِۦٓأَلَاتَتَّقُونَ
tattaqūnaalāliqawmihiqālaidh
Whenhe saidto his peopleWill notyou fear
37:124
أَتَدْعُونَبَعْلًۭاوَتَذَرُونَأَحْسَنَٱلْخَـٰلِقِينَ
l-khāliqīnaaḥsanawatadharūnabaʿlanatadʿūna
Do you callBaaland you forsake(the) Best(of) Creators
37:125
ٱللَّهَرَبَّكُمْوَرَبَّءَابَآئِكُمُٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnaābāikumuwarabbarabbakumal-laha
Allahyour Lordand (the) Lord(of) your forefathers(of) your forefathers
37:126
فَكَذَّبُوهُفَإِنَّهُمْلَمُحْضَرُونَ
lamuḥ'ḍarūnafa-innahumfakadhabūhu
But they denied himso indeed, they(will) surely be brought
37:127
إِلَّاعِبَادَٱللَّهِٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
l-mukh'laṣīnal-lahiʿibādaillā
Except(the) slaves(of) Allahthe chosen ones
37:128
وَتَرَكْنَاعَلَيْهِفِىٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
l-ākhirīnafīʿalayhiwataraknā
And We leftfor himamongthe later generations
37:129
سَلَـٰمٌعَلَىٰٓإِلْ يَاسِينَ
il yāsīnaʿalāsalāmun
Peace beuponElijah
37:130
إِنَّاكَذَٰلِكَنَجْزِىٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
l-muḥ'sinīnanajzīkadhālikainnā
Indeed, Wethusrewardthe good-doers
37:131
إِنَّهُۥمِنْعِبَادِنَاٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnaʿibādināmininnahu
Indeed, he (was)ofOur slavesbelieving
37:132
وَإِنَّلُوطًۭالَّمِنَٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
l-mur'salīnalaminalūṭanwa-inna
And indeedLut(was) ofthe Messengers
37:133
إِذْنَجَّيْنَـٰهُوَأَهْلَهُۥٓأَجْمَعِينَ
ajmaʿīnawa-ahlahunajjaynāhuidh
WhenWe saved himand his familyall
37:134
إِلَّاعَجُوزًۭافِىٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ
l-ghābirīnafīʿajūzanillā
Exceptan old woman(was) amongthose who remained behind
37:135
ثُمَّدَمَّرْنَاٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
l-ākharīnadammarnāthumma
ThenWe destroyedthe others
37:136
وَإِنَّكُمْلَتَمُرُّونَعَلَيْهِممُّصْبِحِينَ
muṣ'biḥīnaʿalayhimlatamurrūnawa-innakum
And indeed, yousurely passby them(in the) morning
37:137
وَبِٱلَّيْلِ ۗأَفَلَاتَعْقِلُونَ
taʿqilūnaafalāwabi-al-layli
And at nightThen will notyou use reason
37:138
وَإِنَّيُونُسَلَمِنَٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
l-mur'salīnalaminayūnusawa-inna
And indeedYunus(was) surely ofthe Messengers
37:139
إِذْأَبَقَإِلَىٱلْفُلْكِٱلْمَشْحُونِ
l-mashḥūnil-ful'kiilāabaqaidh
Whenhe ran awaytothe shipladen
37:140
فَسَاهَمَفَكَانَمِنَٱلْمُدْحَضِينَ
l-mud'ḥaḍīnaminafakānafasāhama
Then he drew lotsand wasofthe losers
37:141
فَٱلْتَقَمَهُٱلْحُوتُوَهُوَمُلِيمٌۭ
mulīmunwahuwal-ḥūtufal-taqamahu
Then swallowed himthe fishwhile he(was) blameworthy
37:142
فَلَوْلَآأَنَّهُۥكَانَمِنَٱلْمُسَبِّحِينَ
l-musabiḥīnaminakānaannahufalawlā
And if notthat hewasofthose who glorify
37:143
لَلَبِثَفِىبَطْنِهِۦٓإِلَىٰيَوْمِيُبْعَثُونَ
yub'ʿathūnayawmiilābaṭnihifīlalabitha
Certainly, he (would have) remainedinits bellyuntilthe Daythey are resurrected
37:144
۞ فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُبِٱلْعَرَآءِوَهُوَسَقِيمٌۭ
saqīmunwahuwabil-ʿarāifanabadhnāhu
But We cast himonto the open shorewhile he(was) ill
37:145
وَأَنۢبَتْنَاعَلَيْهِشَجَرَةًۭمِّنيَقْطِينٍۢ
yaqṭīninminshajaratanʿalayhiwa-anbatnā
And We caused to growover hima plantofgourd
37:146
وَأَرْسَلْنَـٰهُإِلَىٰمِا۟ئَةِأَلْفٍأَوْيَزِيدُونَ
yazīdūnaawalfinmi-atiilāwa-arsalnāhu
And We sent himtoa hundredthousandormore
37:147
فَـَٔامَنُوا۟فَمَتَّعْنَـٰهُمْإِلَىٰحِينٍۢ
ḥīninilāfamattaʿnāhumfaāmanū
And they believedso We gave them enjoymentfora while
37:148
فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْأَلِرَبِّكَٱلْبَنَاتُوَلَهُمُٱلْبَنُونَ
l-banūnawalahumul-banātualirabbikafa-is'taftihim
Then ask themDoes your Lord(have) daughterswhile for them(are) sons
37:149
أَمْخَلَقْنَاٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَإِنَـٰثًۭاوَهُمْشَـٰهِدُونَ
shāhidūnawahumināthanl-malāikatakhalaqnāam
Ordid We createthe Angelsfemaleswhile they(were) witnesses
37:150
أَلَآإِنَّهُممِّنْإِفْكِهِمْلَيَقُولُونَ
layaqūlūnaif'kihimmininnahumalā
No doubtindeed, theyoftheir falsehood[they] say
37:151
وَلَدَٱللَّهُوَإِنَّهُمْلَكَـٰذِبُونَ
lakādhibūnawa-innahuml-lahuwalada
Allah has begottenAllah has begottenand indeed, theysurely (are) liars
37:152
أَصْطَفَىٱلْبَنَاتِعَلَىٱلْبَنِينَ
l-banīnaʿalāl-banātiaṣṭafā
Has He chosen[the] daughtersoversons
37:153
مَالَكُمْكَيْفَتَحْكُمُونَ
taḥkumūnakayfalakummā
What is with youWhat is with youHowyou judge
37:154
أَفَلَاتَذَكَّرُونَ
tadhakkarūnaafalā
Then will notyou pay heed
37:155
أَمْلَكُمْسُلْطَـٰنٌۭمُّبِينٌۭ
mubīnunsul'ṭānunlakumam
Or(is) for youan authorityclear
37:156
فَأْتُوا۟بِكِتَـٰبِكُمْإِنكُنتُمْصَـٰدِقِينَ
ṣādiqīnakuntuminbikitābikumfatū
Then bringyour bookifyou aretruthful
37:157
وَجَعَلُوا۟بَيْنَهُۥوَبَيْنَٱلْجِنَّةِنَسَبًۭا ۚوَلَقَدْعَلِمَتِٱلْجِنَّةُإِنَّهُمْلَمُحْضَرُونَ
lamuḥ'ḍarūnainnahuml-jinatuʿalimatiwalaqadnasabanl-jinatiwabaynabaynahuwajaʿalū
And they have madebetween Himand betweenthe jinna relationshipbut certainlyknowthe jinnthat they(will) surely be brought
37:158
سُبْحَـٰنَٱللَّهِعَمَّايَصِفُونَ
yaṣifūnaʿammāl-lahisub'ḥāna
Glory be(to) Allahabove whatthey attribute
37:159
إِلَّاعِبَادَٱللَّهِٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
l-mukh'laṣīnal-lahiʿibādaillā
Except(the) slaves(of) Allahthe chosen
37:160
فَإِنَّكُمْوَمَاتَعْبُدُونَ
taʿbudūnawamāfa-innakum
So indeed, youand whatyou worship
37:161
مَآأَنتُمْعَلَيْهِبِفَـٰتِنِينَ
bifātinīnaʿalayhiantummā
Notyoufrom Himcan tempt away (anyone)
37:162
إِلَّامَنْهُوَصَالِٱلْجَحِيمِ
l-jaḥīmiṣālihuwamanillā
Exceptwhohe(is) to burn(in) the Hellfire
37:163
وَمَامِنَّآإِلَّالَهُۥمَقَامٌۭمَّعْلُومٌۭ
maʿlūmunmaqāmunlahuillāminnāwamā
And notamong usexceptfor him(is) a positionknown
37:164
وَإِنَّالَنَحْنُٱلصَّآفُّونَ
l-ṣāfūnalanaḥnuwa-innā
And indeed, wesurely, [we]stand in rows
37:165
وَإِنَّالَنَحْنُٱلْمُسَبِّحُونَ
l-musabiḥūnalanaḥnuwa-innā
And indeed, wesurely, [we]glorify (Allah)
37:166
وَإِنكَانُوا۟لَيَقُولُونَ
layaqūlūnakānūwa-in
And indeedthey used tosay
37:167
لَوْأَنَّعِندَنَاذِكْرًۭامِّنَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnaminadhik'ranʿindanāannalaw
Ifthatwe hada reminderfromthe former (people)
37:168
لَكُنَّاعِبَادَٱللَّهِٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
l-mukh'laṣīnal-lahiʿibādalakunnā
Certainly, we (would) have beenslaves(of) Allahthe chosen
37:169
فَكَفَرُوا۟بِهِۦ ۖفَسَوْفَيَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnafasawfabihifakafarū
But they disbelievedin itso soonthey will know
37:170
وَلَقَدْسَبَقَتْكَلِمَتُنَالِعِبَادِنَاٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
l-mur'salīnaliʿibādinākalimatunāsabaqatwalaqad
And verilyhas precededOur Wordfor Our slavesthe Messengers
37:171
إِنَّهُمْلَهُمُٱلْمَنصُورُونَ
l-manṣūrūnalahumuinnahum
Indeed theysurely they(would be) the victorious
37:172
وَإِنَّجُندَنَالَهُمُٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ
l-ghālibūnalahumujundanāwa-inna
And indeedOur hostsurely, they(will be) those who overcome
37:173
فَتَوَلَّعَنْهُمْحَتَّىٰحِينٍۢ
ḥīninḥattāʿanhumfatawalla
So turn awayfrom themuntila time
37:174
وَأَبْصِرْهُمْفَسَوْفَيُبْصِرُونَ
yub'ṣirūnafasawfawa-abṣir'hum
And see themso soonthey will see
37:175
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَايَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
yastaʿjilūnaafabiʿadhābinā
Then is (it) for Our punishmentthey hasten
37:176
فَإِذَانَزَلَبِسَاحَتِهِمْفَسَآءَصَبَاحُٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
l-mundharīnaṣabāḥufasāabisāḥatihimnazalafa-idhā
But whenit descendsin their territorythen evil (will be)(the) morning(for) those who were warned
37:177
وَتَوَلَّعَنْهُمْحَتَّىٰحِينٍۢ
ḥīninḥattāʿanhumwatawalla
So turn awayfrom themfora time
37:178
وَأَبْصِرْفَسَوْفَيُبْصِرُونَ
yub'ṣirūnafasawfawa-abṣir
And seeso soonthey will see
37:179
سُبْحَـٰنَرَبِّكَرَبِّٱلْعِزَّةِعَمَّايَصِفُونَ
yaṣifūnaʿammāl-ʿizatirabbirabbikasub'ḥāna
Glory(be to) your Lord(the) Lord(of) Honorabove whatthey attribute
37:180
وَسَلَـٰمٌعَلَىٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
l-mur'salīnaʿalāwasalāmun
And peace beuponthe Messengers
37:181
وَٱلْحَمْدُلِلَّهِرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnarabbilillahiwal-ḥamdu
And all praise(be) to Allah(the) Lord(of) the worlds
37:182
Basmala
صٓ ۚوَٱلْقُرْءَانِذِىٱلذِّكْرِ
l-dhik'ridhīwal-qur'ānisad
SaadBy the Quranfull (of) reminderfull (of) reminder
38:1
بَلِٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟فِىعِزَّةٍۢوَشِقَاقٍۢ
washiqāqinʿizzatinfīkafarūalladhīnabali
Naythose whodisbelieve(are) inself-gloryand opposition
38:2
كَمْأَهْلَكْنَامِنقَبْلِهِممِّنقَرْنٍۢفَنَادَوا۟وَّلَاتَحِينَمَنَاصٍۢ
manāṣinḥīnawalātafanādawqarninminqablihimminahlaknākam
How manyWe destroyedbefore thembefore themofa generationthen they called outwhen there (was) no longertime(for) escape
38:3
وَعَجِبُوٓا۟أَنجَآءَهُممُّنذِرٌۭمِّنْهُمْ ۖوَقَالَٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَهَـٰذَاسَـٰحِرٌۭكَذَّابٌ
kadhābunsāḥirunhādhāl-kāfirūnawaqālamin'hummundhirunjāahumanwaʿajibū
And they wonderthathas come to thema warnerfrom themselvesAnd saidthe disbelieversThis(is) a magiciana liar
38:4
أَجَعَلَٱلْـَٔالِهَةَإِلَـٰهًۭاوَٰحِدًا ۖإِنَّهَـٰذَالَشَىْءٌعُجَابٌۭ
ʿujābunlashayonhādhāinnawāḥidanilāhanl-ālihataajaʿala
Has he madethe gods(into) one god(into) one godIndeedthis(is) certainly a thingcurious
38:5
وَٱنطَلَقَٱلْمَلَأُمِنْهُمْأَنِٱمْشُوا۟وَٱصْبِرُوا۟عَلَىٰٓءَالِهَتِكُمْ ۖإِنَّهَـٰذَالَشَىْءٌۭيُرَادُ
yurādulashayonhādhāinnaālihatikumʿalāwa-iṣ'birūim'shūanimin'huml-mala-uwa-inṭalaqa
And went forththe chiefsamong themthatContinueand be patientoveryour godsIndeedthis(is) certainly a thingintended
38:6
مَاسَمِعْنَابِهَـٰذَافِىٱلْمِلَّةِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِإِنْهَـٰذَآإِلَّاٱخْتِلَـٰقٌ
ikh'tilāqunillāhādhāinl-ākhiratil-milatifībihādhāsamiʿ'nāmā
Notwe heardof thisinthe religionthe lastNot(is) thisbuta fabrication
38:7
أَءُنزِلَعَلَيْهِٱلذِّكْرُمِنۢبَيْنِنَا ۚبَلْهُمْفِىشَكٍّۢمِّنذِكْرِى ۖبَللَّمَّايَذُوقُوا۟عَذَابِ
ʿadhābiyadhūqūlammābaldhik'rīminshakkinfīhumbalbaynināminl-dhik'ruʿalayhia-unzila
Has been revealedto himthe Messagefromamong usNayThey(are) indoubtaboutMy MessageNaynot yetthey have tastedMy punishment
38:8
أَمْعِندَهُمْخَزَآئِنُرَحْمَةِرَبِّكَٱلْعَزِيزِٱلْوَهَّابِ
l-wahābil-ʿazīzirabbikaraḥmatikhazāinuʿindahumam
Orhave they(the) treasures(of the) Mercy(of) your Lordthe All-Mightythe Bestower
38:9
أَمْلَهُممُّلْكُٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِوَمَابَيْنَهُمَا ۖفَلْيَرْتَقُوا۟فِىٱلْأَسْبَـٰبِ
l-asbābifīfalyartaqūbaynahumāwamāwal-arḍil-samāwātimul'kulahumam
Orfor them(is the) dominion(of) the heavensand the earthand whatever(is) between themThen let them ascendbythe means
38:10
جُندٌۭمَّاهُنَالِكَمَهْزُومٌۭمِّنَٱلْأَحْزَابِ
l-aḥzābiminamahzūmunhunālikamājundun
Soldiers therethere(they will be) defeatedamongthe companies
38:11
كَذَّبَتْقَبْلَهُمْقَوْمُنُوحٍۢوَعَادٌۭوَفِرْعَوْنُذُوٱلْأَوْتَادِ
l-awtādidhūwafir'ʿawnuwaʿādunnūḥinqawmuqablahumkadhabat
Deniedbefore them(the) people(of) Nuhand Aadand Firaun(the) owner(of) the stakes
38:12
وَثَمُودُوَقَوْمُلُوطٍۢوَأَصْحَـٰبُلْـَٔيْكَةِ ۚأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَٱلْأَحْزَابُ
l-aḥzābuulāikaal'aykatiwa-aṣḥābulūṭinwaqawmuwathamūdu
And Thamudand (the) people(of) Lutand (the) companions(of) the woodThose(were) the companies
38:13
إِنكُلٌّإِلَّاكَذَّبَٱلرُّسُلَفَحَقَّعِقَابِ
ʿiqābifaḥaqqal-rusulakadhabaillākullunin
Notall (of them)butdeniedthe Messengersso (was) justMy penalty
38:14
وَمَايَنظُرُهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِإِلَّاصَيْحَةًۭوَٰحِدَةًۭمَّالَهَامِنفَوَاقٍۢ
fawāqinminlahāmāwāḥidatanṣayḥatanillāhāulāiyanẓuruwamā
And notawaitthesebuta shoutonenotfor itanydelay
38:15
وَقَالُوا۟رَبَّنَاعَجِّللَّنَاقِطَّنَاقَبْلَيَوْمِٱلْحِسَابِ
l-ḥisābiyawmiqablaqiṭṭanālanāʿajjilrabbanāwaqālū
And they sayOur LordHastenfor usour sharebefore(the) Day(of) the Account
38:16
ٱصْبِرْعَلَىٰمَايَقُولُونَوَٱذْكُرْعَبْدَنَادَاوُۥدَذَاٱلْأَيْدِ ۖإِنَّهُۥٓأَوَّابٌ
awwābuninnahul-aydidhādāwūdaʿabdanāwa-udh'kuryaqūlūnamāʿalāiṣ'bir
Be patientoverwhatthey sayand rememberOur slaveDawoodthe possessor of strengththe possessor of strengthIndeed, he (was)repeatedly turning
38:17
إِنَّاسَخَّرْنَاٱلْجِبَالَمَعَهُۥيُسَبِّحْنَبِٱلْعَشِىِّوَٱلْإِشْرَاقِ
wal-ish'rāqibil-ʿashiyiyusabbiḥ'namaʿahul-jibālasakharnāinnā
Indeed, Wesubjectedthe mountainswith himglorifyingin the eveningand [the] sunrise
38:18
وَٱلطَّيْرَمَحْشُورَةًۭ ۖكُلٌّۭلَّهُۥٓأَوَّابٌۭ
awwābunlahukullunmaḥshūratanwal-ṭayra
And the birdsassembledallwith himrepeatedly turning
38:19
وَشَدَدْنَامُلْكَهُۥوَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُٱلْحِكْمَةَوَفَصْلَٱلْخِطَابِ
l-khiṭābiwafaṣlal-ḥik'matawaātaynāhumul'kahuwashadadnā
And We strengthenedhis kingdomand We gave him[the] wisdomand decisivespeech
38:20
۞ وَهَلْأَتَىٰكَنَبَؤُا۟ٱلْخَصْمِإِذْتَسَوَّرُوا۟ٱلْمِحْرَابَ
l-miḥ'rābatasawwarūidhl-khaṣminaba-uatākawahal
And has (there)come to you(the) news(of) the litigantswhenthey climbed over the wall(of) the chamber
38:21
إِذْدَخَلُوا۟عَلَىٰدَاوُۥدَفَفَزِعَمِنْهُمْ ۖقَالُوا۟لَاتَخَفْ ۖخَصْمَانِبَغَىٰبَعْضُنَاعَلَىٰبَعْضٍۢفَٱحْكُمبَيْنَنَابِٱلْحَقِّوَلَاتُشْطِطْوَٱهْدِنَآإِلَىٰسَوَآءِٱلصِّرَٰطِ
l-ṣirāṭisawāiilāwa-ih'dinātush'ṭiṭwalābil-ḥaqibaynanāfa-uḥ'kumbaʿḍinʿalābaʿḍunābaghākhaṣmānitakhaflāqālūmin'humfafaziʿadāwūdaʿalādakhalūidh
Whenthey entereduponDawoodand he was afraidof themthey said(Do) notfear(We are) two litigantshas wrongedone of ustoanotherso judgebetween usin truthand (do) notbe unjustand guide ustoan even[the] path
38:22
إِنَّهَـٰذَآأَخِىلَهُۥتِسْعٌۭوَتِسْعُونَنَعْجَةًۭوَلِىَنَعْجَةٌۭوَٰحِدَةٌۭفَقَالَأَكْفِلْنِيهَاوَعَزَّنِىفِىٱلْخِطَابِ
l-khiṭābifīwaʿazzanīakfil'nīhāfaqālawāḥidatunnaʿjatunwaliyanaʿjatanwatis'ʿūnatis'ʿunlahuakhīhādhāinna
Indeedthis(is) my brotherhe hasninety-nineninety-nineewe(s)while I haveeweoneso he saidEntrust her to meand he overpowered mein[the] speech
38:23
قَالَلَقَدْظَلَمَكَبِسُؤَالِنَعْجَتِكَإِلَىٰنِعَاجِهِۦ ۖوَإِنَّكَثِيرًۭامِّنَٱلْخُلَطَآءِلَيَبْغِىبَعْضُهُمْعَلَىٰبَعْضٍإِلَّاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَعَمِلُوا۟ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِوَقَلِيلٌۭمَّاهُمْ ۗوَظَنَّدَاوُۥدُأَنَّمَافَتَنَّـٰهُفَٱسْتَغْفَرَرَبَّهُۥوَخَرَّرَاكِعًۭاوَأَنَابَ ۩
wa-anābarākiʿanwakharrarabbahufa-is'taghfarafatannāhuannamādāwūduwaẓannahummāwaqalīlunl-ṣāliḥātiwaʿamilūāmanūalladhīnaillābaʿḍinʿalābaʿḍuhumlayabghīl-khulaṭāiminakathīranwa-innaniʿājihiilānaʿjatikabisuāliẓalamakalaqadqāla
He saidCertainlyhe has wronged youby demandingyour ewetohis ewesAnd indeedmanyofthe partnerscertainly oppresssome of them[on]anotherexceptthose whobelieveand dorighteous deedsand few(are) they(are) theyAnd became certainDawoodthatWe (had) tried himand he asked forgiveness(of) his Lordand fell downbowingand turned in repentance
38:24
فَغَفَرْنَالَهُۥذَٰلِكَ ۖوَإِنَّلَهُۥعِندَنَالَزُلْفَىٰوَحُسْنَمَـَٔابٍۢ
maābinwaḥus'nalazul'fāʿindanālahuwa-innadhālikalahufaghafarnā
So We forgavefor himthatAnd indeedfor himwith Ussurely is a near accessand a goodplace of return
38:25
يَـٰدَاوُۥدُإِنَّاجَعَلْنَـٰكَخَلِيفَةًۭفِىٱلْأَرْضِفَٱحْكُمبَيْنَٱلنَّاسِبِٱلْحَقِّوَلَاتَتَّبِعِٱلْهَوَىٰفَيُضِلَّكَعَنسَبِيلِٱللَّهِ ۚإِنَّٱلَّذِينَيَضِلُّونَعَنسَبِيلِٱللَّهِلَهُمْعَذَابٌۭشَدِيدٌۢبِمَانَسُوا۟يَوْمَٱلْحِسَابِ
l-ḥisābiyawmanasūbimāshadīdunʿadhābunlahuml-lahisabīliʿanyaḍillūnaalladhīnainnal-lahisabīliʿanfayuḍillakal-hawātattabiʿiwalābil-ḥaqil-nāsibaynafa-uḥ'kuml-arḍifīkhalīfatanjaʿalnākainnāyādāwūdu
O DawoodIndeed, We[We] have made youa vicegerentinthe earthso judgebetween[the] menin truthand (do) notfollowthe desirefor it will lead you astrayfrom(the) way(of) AllahIndeedthose whogo astrayfrom(the) way(of) Allahfor them(is) a punishmentseverebecausethey forgot(the) Day(of) Account
38:26
وَمَاخَلَقْنَاٱلسَّمَآءَوَٱلْأَرْضَوَمَابَيْنَهُمَابَـٰطِلًۭا ۚذَٰلِكَظَنُّٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟ ۚفَوَيْلٌۭلِّلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟مِنَٱلنَّارِ
l-nāriminakafarūlilladhīnafawaylunkafarūalladhīnaẓannudhālikabāṭilanbaynahumāwamāwal-arḍal-samāakhalaqnāwamā
And notWe createdthe heavenand the earthand whatever(is) between themwithout purposeThat(is the) assumption(of) those whodisbelieveSo woeto thosewho disbelievefromthe Fire
38:27
أَمْنَجْعَلُٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَعَمِلُوا۟ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِكَٱلْمُفْسِدِينَفِىٱلْأَرْضِأَمْنَجْعَلُٱلْمُتَّقِينَكَٱلْفُجَّارِ
kal-fujāril-mutaqīnanajʿaluaml-arḍifīkal-muf'sidīnal-ṣāliḥātiwaʿamilūāmanūalladhīnanajʿaluam
Orshould We treatthose whobelieveand dorighteous deedslike those who spread corruptioninthe earthOrshould We treatthe piouslike the wicked
38:28
كِتَـٰبٌأَنزَلْنَـٰهُإِلَيْكَمُبَـٰرَكٌۭلِّيَدَّبَّرُوٓا۟ءَايَـٰتِهِۦوَلِيَتَذَكَّرَأُو۟لُوا۟ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ
l-albābiulūwaliyatadhakkaraāyātihiliyaddabbarūmubārakunilaykaanzalnāhukitābun
(This is) a BookWe have revealed itto youblessedthat they may ponder(over) its Versesand may be remindedthose of understandingthose of understanding
38:29
وَوَهَبْنَالِدَاوُۥدَسُلَيْمَـٰنَ ۚنِعْمَٱلْعَبْدُ ۖإِنَّهُۥٓأَوَّابٌ
awwābuninnahul-ʿabduniʿ'masulaymānalidāwūdawawahabnā
And We gaveto DawoodSulaimanan excellentslaveIndeed, he(was) one who repeatedly turned
38:30
إِذْعُرِضَعَلَيْهِبِٱلْعَشِىِّٱلصَّـٰفِنَـٰتُٱلْجِيَادُ
l-jiyādul-ṣāfinātubil-ʿashiyiʿalayhiʿuriḍaidh
Whenwere displayedto himin the afternoonexcellent bred steedsexcellent bred steeds
38:31
فَقَالَإِنِّىٓأَحْبَبْتُحُبَّٱلْخَيْرِعَنذِكْرِرَبِّىحَتَّىٰتَوَارَتْبِٱلْحِجَابِ
bil-ḥijābitawāratḥattārabbīdhik'riʿanl-khayriḥubbaaḥbabtuinnīfaqāla
And he saidIndeed, I[I] preferred(the) love(of) the goodover(the) remembrance(of) my LordUntilthey were hiddenin the veil
38:32
رُدُّوهَاعَلَىَّ ۖفَطَفِقَمَسْحًۢابِٱلسُّوقِوَٱلْأَعْنَاقِ
wal-aʿnāqibil-sūqimasḥanfaṭafiqaʿalayyaruddūhā
Return themto meThen he began(to) pass (his hand)over the legsand the necks
38:33
وَلَقَدْفَتَنَّاسُلَيْمَـٰنَوَأَلْقَيْنَاعَلَىٰكُرْسِيِّهِۦجَسَدًۭاثُمَّأَنَابَ
anābathummajasadankur'siyyihiʿalāwa-alqaynāsulaymānafatannāwalaqad
And certainlyWe triedSulaimanand We placedonhis thronea bodythenhe turned
38:34
قَالَرَبِّٱغْفِرْلِىوَهَبْلِىمُلْكًۭالَّايَنۢبَغِىلِأَحَدٍۢمِّنۢبَعْدِىٓ ۖإِنَّكَأَنتَٱلْوَهَّابُ
l-wahābuantainnakabaʿdīminli-aḥadinyanbaghīlāmul'kanlīwahablīigh'firrabbiqāla
He saidO my LordForgivemeand grantmea kingdomnot(will) belongto anyoneafter meafter meIndeed, You[You](are) the Bestower
38:35
فَسَخَّرْنَالَهُٱلرِّيحَتَجْرِىبِأَمْرِهِۦرُخَآءًحَيْثُأَصَابَ
aṣābaḥaythurukhāanbi-amrihitajrīl-rīḥalahufasakharnā
Then We subjectedto himthe windto flowby his commandgentlywhereverhe directed
38:36
وَٱلشَّيَـٰطِينَكُلَّبَنَّآءٍۢوَغَوَّاصٍۢ
waghawwāṣinbannāinkullawal-shayāṭīna
And the devilseverybuilderand diver
38:37
وَءَاخَرِينَمُقَرَّنِينَفِىٱلْأَصْفَادِ
l-aṣfādifīmuqarranīnawaākharīna
And othersboundinchains
38:38
هَـٰذَاعَطَآؤُنَافَٱمْنُنْأَوْأَمْسِكْبِغَيْرِحِسَابٍۢ
ḥisābinbighayriamsikawfa-um'nunʿaṭāunāhādhā
This(is) Our giftso grantorwithholdwithoutaccount
38:39
وَإِنَّلَهُۥعِندَنَالَزُلْفَىٰوَحُسْنَمَـَٔابٍۢ
maābinwaḥus'nalazul'fāʿindanālahuwa-inna
And indeedfor himwith Ussurely is a near accessand a goodplace of return
38:40
وَٱذْكُرْعَبْدَنَآأَيُّوبَإِذْنَادَىٰرَبَّهُۥٓأَنِّىمَسَّنِىَٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُبِنُصْبٍۢوَعَذَابٍ
waʿadhābinbinuṣ'binl-shayṭānumassaniyaannīrabbahunādāidhayyūbaʿabdanāwa-udh'kur
And rememberOur slaveAyyubwhenhe calledhis LordThat [I](has) touched meShaitaanwith distressand suffering
38:41
ٱرْكُضْبِرِجْلِكَ ۖهَـٰذَامُغْتَسَلٌۢبَارِدٌۭوَشَرَابٌۭ
washarābunbāridunmugh'tasalunhādhābirij'likaur'kuḍ
Strikewith your footThis(is a spring of) water to bathecooland a drink
38:42
وَوَهَبْنَالَهُۥٓأَهْلَهُۥوَمِثْلَهُممَّعَهُمْرَحْمَةًۭمِّنَّاوَذِكْرَىٰلِأُو۟لِىٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ
l-albābili-ulīwadhik'rāminnāraḥmatanmaʿahumwamith'lahumahlahulahuwawahabnā
And We granted[to] himhis familyand a like of themwith thema Mercyfrom Usand a Reminderfor those of understandingfor those of understanding
38:43
وَخُذْبِيَدِكَضِغْثًۭافَٱضْرِببِّهِۦوَلَاتَحْنَثْ ۗإِنَّاوَجَدْنَـٰهُصَابِرًۭا ۚنِّعْمَٱلْعَبْدُ ۖإِنَّهُۥٓأَوَّابٌۭ
awwābuninnahul-ʿabduniʿ'maṣābiranwajadnāhuinnātaḥnathwalābihifa-iḍ'ribḍigh'thanbiyadikawakhudh
And takein your handa bunchand strikewith itand (do) notbreak (your) oathIndeed, We[We] found himpatientan excellentslaveIndeed, herepeatedly turned
38:44
وَٱذْكُرْعِبَـٰدَنَآإِبْرَٰهِيمَوَإِسْحَـٰقَوَيَعْقُوبَأُو۟لِىٱلْأَيْدِىوَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرِ
wal-abṣāril-aydīulīwayaʿqūbawa-is'ḥāqaib'rāhīmaʿibādanāwa-udh'kur
And rememberOur slavesIbrahimand Isaacand Ayyubpossessors(of) strengthand vision
38:45
إِنَّآأَخْلَصْنَـٰهُمبِخَالِصَةٍۢذِكْرَىٱلدَّارِ
l-dāridhik'rābikhāliṣatinakhlaṣnāhuminnā
Indeed, We[We] chose themfor an exclusive (quality)remembrance(of) the Home
38:46
وَإِنَّهُمْعِندَنَالَمِنَٱلْمُصْطَفَيْنَٱلْأَخْيَارِ
l-akhyāril-muṣ'ṭafaynalaminaʿindanāwa-innahum
And indeed, theyto Us(are) fromthe chosen onesthe best
38:47
وَٱذْكُرْإِسْمَـٰعِيلَوَٱلْيَسَعَوَذَاٱلْكِفْلِ ۖوَكُلٌّۭمِّنَٱلْأَخْيَارِ
l-akhyāriminawakullunl-kif'liwadhāwal-yasaʿais'māʿīlawa-udh'kur
And rememberIshmaeland Elishaand Dhul-kifland Dhul-kifland all(are) fromthe best
38:48
هَـٰذَاذِكْرٌۭ ۚوَإِنَّلِلْمُتَّقِينَلَحُسْنَمَـَٔابٍۢ
maābinlaḥus'nalil'muttaqīnawa-innadhik'runhādhā
This(is) a ReminderAnd indeedfor the righteoussurely, is a goodplace of return
38:49
جَنَّـٰتِعَدْنٍۢمُّفَتَّحَةًۭلَّهُمُٱلْأَبْوَٰبُ
l-abwābulahumumufattaḥatanʿadninjannāti
Gardens(of) Eternity(will be) openedfor themthe gates
38:50
مُتَّكِـِٔينَفِيهَايَدْعُونَفِيهَابِفَـٰكِهَةٍۢكَثِيرَةٍۢوَشَرَابٍۢ
washarābinkathīratinbifākihatinfīhāyadʿūnafīhāmuttakiīna
Recliningthereinthey will callthereinfor fruitmanyand drink
38:51
۞ وَعِندَهُمْقَـٰصِرَٰتُٱلطَّرْفِأَتْرَابٌ
atrābunl-ṭarfiqāṣirātuwaʿindahum
And with them(will be) companions of modest gaze(will be) companions of modest gazewell-matched
38:52
هَـٰذَامَاتُوعَدُونَلِيَوْمِٱلْحِسَابِ
l-ḥisābiliyawmitūʿadūnamāhādhā
This(is) whatyou are promisedfor (the) Day(of) Account
38:53
إِنَّهَـٰذَالَرِزْقُنَامَالَهُۥمِننَّفَادٍ
nafādinminlahumālariz'qunāhādhāinna
Indeedthis(is) surely Our provisionnotfor itanydepletion
38:54
هَـٰذَا ۚوَإِنَّلِلطَّـٰغِينَلَشَرَّمَـَٔابٍۢ
maābinlasharralilṭṭāghīnawa-innahādhā
This (is so)And indeedfor the transgressorssurely (is) an evilplace of return
38:55
جَهَنَّمَيَصْلَوْنَهَافَبِئْسَٱلْمِهَادُ
l-mihādufabi'sayaṣlawnahājahannama
Hellthey will burn thereinand wretched (is)the resting place
38:56
هَـٰذَافَلْيَذُوقُوهُحَمِيمٌۭوَغَسَّاقٌۭ
waghassāqunḥamīmunfalyadhūqūhuhādhā
This (is so)Then let them taste itboiling fluidand purulence
38:57
وَءَاخَرُمِنشَكْلِهِۦٓأَزْوَٰجٌ
azwājunshaklihiminwaākharu
And otherofits type(of various) kinds
38:58
هَـٰذَافَوْجٌۭمُّقْتَحِمٌۭمَّعَكُمْ ۖلَامَرْحَبًۢابِهِمْ ۚإِنَّهُمْصَالُوا۟ٱلنَّارِ
l-nāriṣālūinnahumbihimmarḥabanlāmaʿakummuq'taḥimunfawjunhādhā
This(is) a companybursting(in) with youNowelcomefor themIndeed, they(will) burn(in) the Fire
38:59
قَالُوا۟بَلْأَنتُمْلَامَرْحَبًۢابِكُمْ ۖأَنتُمْقَدَّمْتُمُوهُلَنَا ۖفَبِئْسَٱلْقَرَارُ
l-qarārufabi'salanāqaddamtumūhuantumbikummarḥabanlāantumbalqālū
They sayNayYou nowelcomefor youYoubrought thisupon usSo wretched (is)the settlement
38:60
قَالُوا۟رَبَّنَامَنقَدَّمَلَنَاهَـٰذَافَزِدْهُعَذَابًۭاضِعْفًۭافِىٱلنَّارِ
l-nārifīḍiʿ'fanʿadhābanfazid'huhādhālanāqaddamamanrabbanāqālū
They will sayOur Lordwhoeverbroughtupon usthisincrease for hima punishmentdoubleinthe Fire
38:61
وَقَالُوا۟مَالَنَالَانَرَىٰرِجَالًۭاكُنَّانَعُدُّهُممِّنَٱلْأَشْرَارِ
l-ashrāriminanaʿudduhumkunnārijālannarālālanāmāwaqālū
And they (will) sayWhat (is)for usnotwe seemenwe used tocount themamongthe bad ones
38:62
أَتَّخَذْنَـٰهُمْسِخْرِيًّاأَمْزَاغَتْعَنْهُمُٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ
l-abṣāruʿanhumuzāghatamsikh'riyyanattakhadhnāhum
Did we take them(in) ridiculeorhas turned awayfrom themthe vision
38:63
إِنَّذَٰلِكَلَحَقٌّۭتَخَاصُمُأَهْلِٱلنَّارِ
l-nāriahlitakhāṣumulaḥaqqundhālikainna
Indeedthat(is) surely (the) truth (the) quarreling(of the) people(of) the Fire
38:64
قُلْإِنَّمَآأَنَا۠مُنذِرٌۭ ۖوَمَامِنْإِلَـٰهٍإِلَّاٱللَّهُٱلْوَٰحِدُٱلْقَهَّارُ
l-qahārul-wāḥidul-lahuillāilāhinminwamāmundhirunanāinnamāqul
SayOnlyI ama warnerand not(is there) anygodexceptAllahthe Onethe Irresistible
38:65
رَبُّٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِوَمَابَيْنَهُمَاٱلْعَزِيزُٱلْغَفَّـٰرُ
l-ghafārul-ʿazīzubaynahumāwamāwal-arḍil-samāwātirabbu
Lord(of) the heavensand the earthand whatever(is) between themthe All-Mightythe Oft-Forgiving
38:66
قُلْهُوَنَبَؤٌا۟عَظِيمٌ
ʿaẓīmunnaba-onhuwaqul
SayIt (is)a newsgreat
38:67
أَنتُمْعَنْهُمُعْرِضُونَ
muʿ'riḍūnaʿanhuantum
Youfrom itturn away
38:68
مَاكَانَلِىَمِنْعِلْمٍۭبِٱلْمَلَإِٱلْأَعْلَىٰٓإِذْيَخْتَصِمُونَ
yakhtaṣimūnaidhl-aʿlābil-mala-iʿil'minminliyakānamā
Notisfor meanyknowledge(of) the chiefsthe exaltedwhenthey were disputing
38:69
إِنيُوحَىٰٓإِلَىَّإِلَّآأَنَّمَآأَنَا۠نَذِيرٌۭمُّبِينٌ
mubīnunnadhīrunanāannamāillāilayyayūḥāin
Nothas been revealedto meexceptthat onlyI ama warnerclear
38:70
إِذْقَالَرَبُّكَلِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِإِنِّىخَـٰلِقٌۢبَشَرًۭامِّنطِينٍۢ
ṭīninminbasharankhāliquninnīlil'malāikatirabbukaqālaidh
Whensaidyour Lordto the AngelsIndeed, I Amgoing to createa human beingfromclay
38:71
فَإِذَاسَوَّيْتُهُۥوَنَفَخْتُفِيهِمِنرُّوحِىفَقَعُوا۟لَهُۥسَـٰجِدِينَ
sājidīnalahufaqaʿūrūḥīminfīhiwanafakhtusawwaytuhufa-idhā
So whenI have proportioned himand breathedinto himofMy spiritthen fall downto himprostrating
38:72
فَسَجَدَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُكُلُّهُمْأَجْمَعُونَ
ajmaʿūnakulluhuml-malāikatufasajada
So prostratedthe Angelsall of themtogether
38:73
إِلَّآإِبْلِيسَٱسْتَكْبَرَوَكَانَمِنَٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīnaminawakānais'takbaraib'līsaillā
ExceptIblishe was arrogantand becameofthe disbelievers
38:74
قَالَيَـٰٓإِبْلِيسُمَامَنَعَكَأَنتَسْجُدَلِمَاخَلَقْتُبِيَدَىَّ ۖأَسْتَكْبَرْتَأَمْكُنتَمِنَٱلْعَالِينَ
l-ʿālīnaminakuntaamastakbartabiyadayyakhalaqtulimātasjudaanmanaʿakamāyāib'līsuqāla
He saidO IblisWhatprevented youthatyou (should) prostrateto (one) whomI createdwith My HandsAre you arrogantorare youofthe exalted ones
38:75
قَالَأَنَا۠خَيْرٌۭمِّنْهُ ۖخَلَقْتَنِىمِننَّارٍۢوَخَلَقْتَهُۥمِنطِينٍۢ
ṭīninminwakhalaqtahunārinminkhalaqtanīmin'hukhayrunanāqāla
He saidI ambetterthan himYou created mefromfireand You created himfromclay
38:76
قَالَفَٱخْرُجْمِنْهَافَإِنَّكَرَجِيمٌۭ
rajīmunfa-innakamin'hāfa-ukh'rujqāla
He saidThen get outof itfor indeed, you(are) accursed
38:77
وَإِنَّعَلَيْكَلَعْنَتِىٓإِلَىٰيَوْمِٱلدِّينِ
l-dīniyawmiilālaʿnatīʿalaykawa-inna
And indeedupon you(is) My curseuntil(the) Day(of) Judgment
38:78
قَالَرَبِّفَأَنظِرْنِىٓإِلَىٰيَوْمِيُبْعَثُونَ
yub'ʿathūnayawmiilāfa-anẓir'nīrabbiqāla
He saidMy LordThen give me respiteuntil(the) Daythey are resurrected
38:79
قَالَفَإِنَّكَمِنَٱلْمُنظَرِينَ
l-munẓarīnaminafa-innakaqāla
He saidThen indeed, you(are) ofthose given respite
38:80
إِلَىٰيَوْمِٱلْوَقْتِٱلْمَعْلُومِ
l-maʿlūmil-waqtiyawmiilā
Until(the) Day(of) the timewell-known
38:81
قَالَفَبِعِزَّتِكَلَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْأَجْمَعِينَ
ajmaʿīnala-ugh'wiyannahumfabiʿizzatikaqāla
He saidThen by Your mightI will surely mislead themall
38:82
إِلَّاعِبَادَكَمِنْهُمُٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
l-mukh'laṣīnamin'humuʿibādakaillā
ExceptYour slavesamong themthe chosen ones
38:83
قَالَفَٱلْحَقُّوَٱلْحَقَّأَقُولُ
aqūluwal-ḥaqafal-ḥaquqāla
He saidThen (it is) the truthand the truthI say
38:84
لَأَمْلَأَنَّجَهَنَّمَمِنكَوَمِمَّنتَبِعَكَمِنْهُمْأَجْمَعِينَ
ajmaʿīnamin'humtabiʿakawamimmanminkajahannamala-amla-anna
Surely I will fillHellwith youand those whofollow youamong themall
38:85
قُلْمَآأَسْـَٔلُكُمْعَلَيْهِمِنْأَجْرٍۢوَمَآأَنَا۠مِنَٱلْمُتَكَلِّفِينَ
l-mutakalifīnaminaanāwamāajrinminʿalayhiasalukummāqul
SayNotI ask of youfor itanypaymentand notI amofthe ones who pretend
38:86
إِنْهُوَإِلَّاذِكْرٌۭلِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
lil'ʿālamīnadhik'runillāhuwain
Notit (is)excepta Reminderto the worlds
38:87
وَلَتَعْلَمُنَّنَبَأَهُۥبَعْدَحِينٍۭ
ḥīninbaʿdanaba-ahuwalataʿlamunna
And surely you will knowits informationaftera time
38:88
Basmala
تَنزِيلُٱلْكِتَـٰبِمِنَٱللَّهِٱلْعَزِيزِٱلْحَكِيمِ
l-ḥakīmil-ʿazīzil-lahiminal-kitābitanzīlu
(The) revelation(of) the Book(is) fromAllahthe All-Mightythe All-Wise
39:1
إِنَّآأَنزَلْنَآإِلَيْكَٱلْكِتَـٰبَبِٱلْحَقِّفَٱعْبُدِٱللَّهَمُخْلِصًۭالَّهُٱلدِّينَ
l-dīnalahumukh'liṣanl-lahafa-uʿ'budibil-ḥaqil-kitābailaykaanzalnāinnā
Indeed, We[We] have revealedto youthe Bookin truthso worshipAllah(being) sincereto Him(in) the religion
39:2
أَلَالِلَّهِٱلدِّينُٱلْخَالِصُ ۚوَٱلَّذِينَٱتَّخَذُوا۟مِندُونِهِۦٓأَوْلِيَآءَمَانَعْبُدُهُمْإِلَّالِيُقَرِّبُونَآإِلَىٱللَّهِزُلْفَىٰٓإِنَّٱللَّهَيَحْكُمُبَيْنَهُمْفِىمَاهُمْفِيهِيَخْتَلِفُونَ ۗإِنَّٱللَّهَلَايَهْدِىمَنْهُوَكَـٰذِبٌۭكَفَّارٌۭ
kaffārunkādhibunhuwamanyahdīlāl-lahainnayakhtalifūnafīhihummāfībaynahumyaḥkumul-lahainnazul'fāl-lahiilāliyuqarribūnāillānaʿbuduhummāawliyāadūnihiminittakhadhūwa-alladhīnal-khāliṣul-dīnulillahialā
Unquestionablyfor Allah(is) the religionthe pureAnd those whotakebesides Himbesides HimprotectorsNotwe worship themexceptthat they may bring us neartoAllah(in) nearnessIndeedAllahwill judgebetween theminwhatthey[in it]differIndeedAllah(does) notguide(one) who[he](is) a liarand a disbeliever
39:3
لَّوْأَرَادَٱللَّهُأَنيَتَّخِذَوَلَدًۭالَّٱصْطَفَىٰمِمَّايَخْلُقُمَايَشَآءُ ۚسُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ ۖهُوَٱللَّهُٱلْوَٰحِدُٱلْقَهَّارُ
l-qahārul-wāḥidul-lahuhuwasub'ḥānahuyashāumāyakhluqumimmāla-iṣ'ṭafāwaladanyattakhidhaanl-lahuarādalaw
IfAllah (had) intendedAllah (had) intendedtotakea sonsurely, He (could) have chosenfrom whatHe createswhateverHe willedGlory be to HimHe(is) Allahthe Onethe Irresistible
39:4
خَلَقَٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضَبِٱلْحَقِّ ۖيُكَوِّرُٱلَّيْلَعَلَىٱلنَّهَارِوَيُكَوِّرُٱلنَّهَارَعَلَىٱلَّيْلِ ۖوَسَخَّرَٱلشَّمْسَوَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖكُلٌّۭيَجْرِىلِأَجَلٍۢمُّسَمًّى ۗأَلَاهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلْغَفَّـٰرُ
l-ghafārul-ʿazīzuhuwaalāmusammanli-ajalinyajrīkullunwal-qamaral-shamsawasakharaal-layliʿalāl-nahārawayukawwirul-nahāriʿalāal-laylayukawwirubil-ḥaqiwal-arḍal-samāwātikhalaqa
He createdthe heavensand the earthin [the] truthHe wrapsthe nightoverthe dayand wrapsthe dayoverthe nightAnd He subjectedthe sunand the mooneachrunningfor a termspecifiedUnquestionablyHe(is) the All-Mightythe Oft-Forgiving
39:5
خَلَقَكُممِّننَّفْسٍۢوَٰحِدَةٍۢثُمَّجَعَلَمِنْهَازَوْجَهَاوَأَنزَلَلَكُممِّنَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِثَمَـٰنِيَةَأَزْوَٰجٍۢ ۚيَخْلُقُكُمْفِىبُطُونِأُمَّهَـٰتِكُمْخَلْقًۭامِّنۢبَعْدِخَلْقٍۢفِىظُلُمَـٰتٍۢثَلَـٰثٍۢ ۚذَٰلِكُمُٱللَّهُرَبُّكُمْلَهُٱلْمُلْكُ ۖلَآإِلَـٰهَإِلَّاهُوَ ۖفَأَنَّىٰتُصْرَفُونَ
tuṣ'rafūnafa-annāhuwaillāilāhalāl-mul'kulahurabbukuml-lahudhālikumuthalāthinẓulumātinfīkhalqinbaʿdiminkhalqanummahātikumbuṭūnifīyakhluqukumazwājinthamāniyatal-anʿāmiminalakumwa-anzalazawjahāmin'hājaʿalathummawāḥidatinnafsinminkhalaqakum
He created youfroma soulsingleThenHe madefrom itits mateAnd He sent downfor youofthe cattleeightkindsHe creates youin(the) wombs(of) your motherscreationafteraftercreationindarkness[es]threeThat(is) Allahyour Lordfor Him(is) the dominion(There is) nogodexceptHeThen howare you turning away
39:6
إِنتَكْفُرُوا۟فَإِنَّٱللَّهَغَنِىٌّعَنكُمْ ۖوَلَايَرْضَىٰلِعِبَادِهِٱلْكُفْرَ ۖوَإِنتَشْكُرُوا۟يَرْضَهُلَكُمْ ۗوَلَاتَزِرُوَازِرَةٌۭوِزْرَأُخْرَىٰ ۗثُمَّإِلَىٰرَبِّكُممَّرْجِعُكُمْفَيُنَبِّئُكُمبِمَاكُنتُمْتَعْمَلُونَ ۚإِنَّهُۥعَلِيمٌۢبِذَاتِٱلصُّدُورِ
l-ṣudūribidhātiʿalīmuninnahutaʿmalūnakuntumbimāfayunabbi-ukummarjiʿukumrabbikumilāthummaukh'rāwiz'rawāziratuntaziruwalālakumyarḍahutashkurūwa-inl-kuf'raliʿibādihiyarḍāwalāʿankumghaniyyunl-lahafa-innatakfurūin
Ifyou disbelievethen indeedAllah(is) free from needof youAnd notHe likesin His slavesungratefulnessAnd ifyou are gratefulHe likes itin youAnd notwill bearbearer of burdens(the) burden(of) anotherThentoyour Lord(is) your returnthen He will inform youabout whatyou used todoIndeed, He(is) the All-Knowerof what (is) in the breastsof what (is) in the breasts
39:7
۞ وَإِذَامَسَّٱلْإِنسَـٰنَضُرٌّۭدَعَارَبَّهُۥمُنِيبًاإِلَيْهِثُمَّإِذَاخَوَّلَهُۥنِعْمَةًۭمِّنْهُنَسِىَمَاكَانَيَدْعُوٓا۟إِلَيْهِمِنقَبْلُوَجَعَلَلِلَّهِأَندَادًۭالِّيُضِلَّعَنسَبِيلِهِۦ ۚقُلْتَمَتَّعْبِكُفْرِكَقَلِيلًا ۖإِنَّكَمِنْأَصْحَـٰبِٱلنَّارِ
l-nāriaṣḥābimininnakaqalīlanbikuf'rikatamattaʿqulsabīlihiʿanliyuḍillaandādanlillahiwajaʿalaqabluminilayhiyadʿūkānamānasiyamin'huniʿ'matankhawwalahuidhāthummailayhimunībanrabbahudaʿāḍurrunl-insānamassawa-idhā
And whentouches[the] manadversityhe callshis Lordturningto HimthenwhenHe bestows on hima favorfrom Himselfhe forgets(for) whathe used to callhe used to call[to] Himbeforebeforeand he sets upto Allahrivalsto misleadfromHis PathSayEnjoyin your disbelief(for) a littleIndeed, you(are) of(the) companions(of) the Fire
39:8
أَمَّنْهُوَقَـٰنِتٌءَانَآءَٱلَّيْلِسَاجِدًۭاوَقَآئِمًۭايَحْذَرُٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَوَيَرْجُوا۟رَحْمَةَرَبِّهِۦ ۗقُلْهَلْيَسْتَوِىٱلَّذِينَيَعْلَمُونَوَٱلَّذِينَلَايَعْلَمُونَ ۗإِنَّمَايَتَذَكَّرُأُو۟لُوا۟ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ
l-albābiulūyatadhakkaruinnamāyaʿlamūnalāwa-alladhīnayaʿlamūnaalladhīnayastawīhalqulrabbihiraḥmatawayarjūl-ākhiratayaḥdharuwaqāimansājidanal-layliānāaqānitunhuwaamman
Is (one) who[he](is) devoutly obedient (during) hours(of) the nightprostratingand standingfearingthe Hereafterand hoping(for the) Mercy(of) his LordSayAreequalthose whoknowand those who(do) notknowOnlywill take heedthose of understandingthose of understanding
39:9
قُلْيَـٰعِبَادِٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟ٱتَّقُوا۟رَبَّكُمْ ۚلِلَّذِينَأَحْسَنُوا۟فِىهَـٰذِهِٱلدُّنْيَاحَسَنَةٌۭ ۗوَأَرْضُٱللَّهِوَٰسِعَةٌ ۗإِنَّمَايُوَفَّىٱلصَّـٰبِرُونَأَجْرَهُمبِغَيْرِحِسَابٍۢ
ḥisābinbighayriajrahuml-ṣābirūnayuwaffāinnamāwāsiʿatunl-lahiwa-arḍuḥasanatunl-dun'yāhādhihifīaḥsanūlilladhīnarabbakumittaqūāmanūalladhīnayāʿibādiqul
SayO My slaves[those] whobelieveFearyour LordFor those whodo goodinthisworld(is) goodand the earth(of) Allah(is) spaciousOnlywill be paid back in fullthe patient onestheir rewardwithoutaccount
39:10
قُلْإِنِّىٓأُمِرْتُأَنْأَعْبُدَٱللَّهَمُخْلِصًۭالَّهُٱلدِّينَ
l-dīnalahumukh'liṣanl-lahaaʿbudaanumir'tuinnīqul
SayIndeed, I[I] am commandedthatI worshipAllah(being) sincereto Him(in) the religion
39:11
وَأُمِرْتُلِأَنْأَكُونَأَوَّلَٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
l-mus'limīnaawwalaakūnali-anwa-umir'tu
And I am commandedthatI be(the) first(of) those who submit
39:12
قُلْإِنِّىٓأَخَافُإِنْعَصَيْتُرَبِّىعَذَابَيَوْمٍعَظِيمٍۢ
ʿaẓīminyawminʿadhābarabbīʿaṣaytuinakhāfuinnīqul
SayIndeed, I[I] fearifI disobeymy Lord(the) punishment(of) a Daygreat
39:13
قُلِٱللَّهَأَعْبُدُمُخْلِصًۭالَّهُۥدِينِى
dīnīlahumukh'liṣanaʿbudul-lahaquli
SayI worship AllahI worship Allah(being) sincereto Him(in) my religion
39:14
فَٱعْبُدُوا۟مَاشِئْتُممِّندُونِهِۦ ۗقُلْإِنَّٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَٱلَّذِينَخَسِرُوٓا۟أَنفُسَهُمْوَأَهْلِيهِمْيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۗأَلَاذَٰلِكَهُوَٱلْخُسْرَانُٱلْمُبِينُ
l-mubīnul-khus'rānuhuwadhālikaalāl-qiyāmatiyawmawa-ahlīhimanfusahumkhasirūalladhīnal-khāsirīnainnaquldūnihiminshi'tummāfa-uʿ'budū
So worshipwhatyou willbesides Himbesides HimSayIndeedthe losers(are) those who(will) losethemselvesand their families(on the) Day(of) the ResurrectionUnquestionablythat it(is) the lossthe clear
39:15
لَهُممِّنفَوْقِهِمْظُلَلٌۭمِّنَٱلنَّارِوَمِنتَحْتِهِمْظُلَلٌۭ ۚذَٰلِكَيُخَوِّفُٱللَّهُبِهِۦعِبَادَهُۥ ۚيَـٰعِبَادِفَٱتَّقُونِ
fa-ittaqūniyāʿibādiʿibādahubihil-lahuyukhawwifudhālikaẓulaluntaḥtihimwaminl-nāriminaẓulalunfawqihimminlahum
For themfromabove themcoveringsofthe Fireand frombelow themcoverings(With) thatthreatensAllah[with it]His slavesO My slavesSo fear Me
39:16
وَٱلَّذِينَٱجْتَنَبُوا۟ٱلطَّـٰغُوتَأَنيَعْبُدُوهَاوَأَنَابُوٓا۟إِلَىٱللَّهِلَهُمُٱلْبُشْرَىٰ ۚفَبَشِّرْعِبَادِ
ʿibādifabashirl-bush'rālahumul-lahiilāwa-anābūyaʿbudūhāanl-ṭāghūtaij'tanabūwa-alladhīna
And those whoavoidthe false godslestthey worship themand turntoAllahfor them(are) glad tidingsSo give glad tidings(to) My slaves
39:17
ٱلَّذِينَيَسْتَمِعُونَٱلْقَوْلَفَيَتَّبِعُونَأَحْسَنَهُۥٓ ۚأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَٱلَّذِينَهَدَىٰهُمُٱللَّهُ ۖوَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمْأُو۟لُوا۟ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ
l-albābiulūhumwa-ulāikal-lahuhadāhumualladhīnaulāikaaḥsanahufayattabiʿūnal-qawlayastamiʿūnaalladhīna
Those whothey listen (to)the Wordthen followthe best thereofthose(are) they whomAllah has guided themAllah has guided themand thoseare [they]the men of understandingthe men of understanding
39:18
أَفَمَنْحَقَّعَلَيْهِكَلِمَةُٱلْعَذَابِأَفَأَنتَتُنقِذُمَنفِىٱلنَّارِ
l-nārifīmantunqidhuafa-antal-ʿadhābikalimatuʿalayhiḥaqqaafaman
Then, is (one) whobecame dueon himthe word(of) the punishmentThen can yousave(one) who(is) inthe Fire
39:19
لَـٰكِنِٱلَّذِينَٱتَّقَوْا۟رَبَّهُمْلَهُمْغُرَفٌۭمِّنفَوْقِهَاغُرَفٌۭمَّبْنِيَّةٌۭتَجْرِىمِنتَحْتِهَاٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ۖوَعْدَٱللَّهِ ۖلَايُخْلِفُٱللَّهُٱلْمِيعَادَ
l-mīʿādal-lahuyukh'lifulāl-lahiwaʿdal-anhārutaḥtihāmintajrīmabniyyatunghurafunfawqihāminghurafunlahumrabbahumittaqawalladhīnalākini
Butthose whofeartheir Lordfor them(are) lofty mansionsabove themabove themlofty mansionsbuilt highflowfrombeneath itthe rivers(The) Promise(of) AllahNotAllah failsAllah fails(in His) promise
39:20
أَلَمْتَرَأَنَّٱللَّهَأَنزَلَمِنَٱلسَّمَآءِمَآءًۭفَسَلَكَهُۥيَنَـٰبِيعَفِىٱلْأَرْضِثُمَّيُخْرِجُبِهِۦزَرْعًۭامُّخْتَلِفًاأَلْوَٰنُهُۥثُمَّيَهِيجُفَتَرَىٰهُمُصْفَرًّۭاثُمَّيَجْعَلُهُۥحُطَـٰمًا ۚإِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَذِكْرَىٰلِأُو۟لِىٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ
l-albābili-ulīladhik'rādhālikafīinnaḥuṭāmanyajʿaluhuthummamuṣ'farranfatarāhuyahījuthummaalwānuhumukh'talifanzarʿanbihiyukh'rijuthummal-arḍifīyanābīʿafasalakahumāanl-samāiminaanzalal-lahaannataraalam
Do notyou seethatAllahsends downfromthe skywaterand He makes it flow(as) springsinthe earththenHe produceswith itcrops(of) differentcolorsthenthey witherand you see itturn yellowthenHe makes themdebrisIndeedinthatsurely, (is) a reminderfor those of understandingfor those of understanding
39:21
أَفَمَنشَرَحَٱللَّهُصَدْرَهُۥلِلْإِسْلَـٰمِفَهُوَعَلَىٰنُورٍۢمِّنرَّبِّهِۦ ۚفَوَيْلٌۭلِّلْقَـٰسِيَةِقُلُوبُهُممِّنذِكْرِٱللَّهِ ۚأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَفِىضَلَـٰلٍۢمُّبِينٍ
mubīninḍalālinfīulāikal-lahidhik'riminqulūbuhumlil'qāsiyatifawaylunrabbihiminnūrinʿalāfahuwalil'is'lāmiṣadrahul-lahusharaḥaafaman
So is (one for) whomAllah has expandedAllah has expandedhis breastfor Islamso he(is) upona lightfromhis LordSo woeto (those are) hardenedtheir heartsfrom(the) remembrance of Allah(the) remembrance of AllahThose(are) inerrorclear
39:22
ٱللَّهُنَزَّلَأَحْسَنَٱلْحَدِيثِكِتَـٰبًۭامُّتَشَـٰبِهًۭامَّثَانِىَتَقْشَعِرُّمِنْهُجُلُودُٱلَّذِينَيَخْشَوْنَرَبَّهُمْثُمَّتَلِينُجُلُودُهُمْوَقُلُوبُهُمْإِلَىٰذِكْرِٱللَّهِ ۚذَٰلِكَهُدَىٱللَّهِيَهْدِىبِهِۦمَنيَشَآءُ ۚوَمَنيُضْلِلِٱللَّهُفَمَالَهُۥمِنْهَادٍ
hādinminlahufamāl-lahuyuḍ'liliwamanyashāumanbihiyahdīl-lahihudādhālikal-lahidhik'riilāwaqulūbuhumjulūduhumtalīnuthummarabbahumyakhshawnaalladhīnajulūdumin'hutaqshaʿirrumathāniyamutashābihankitābanl-ḥadīthiaḥsananazzalaal-lahu
Allahhas revealed(the) best(of) [the] statement a Book(its parts) resembling each otheroft-repeatedShiverfrom it(the) skins(of) those whofeartheir Lordthenrelaxtheir skinsand their heartsat(the) remembrance(of) AllahThat(is the) guidance(of) AllahHe guideswith itwhomHe willsAnd whoeverAllah lets go astrayAllah lets go astraythen notfor himanyguide
39:23
أَفَمَنيَتَّقِىبِوَجْهِهِۦسُوٓءَٱلْعَذَابِيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۚوَقِيلَلِلظَّـٰلِمِينَذُوقُوا۟مَاكُنتُمْتَكْسِبُونَ
taksibūnakuntummādhūqūlilẓẓālimīnawaqīlal-qiyāmatiyawmal-ʿadhābisūabiwajhihiyattaqīafaman
Then (is) he whowill shieldwith his face(the) worstpunishment(on the) Day(of) the ResurrectionAnd it will be saidto the wrongdoersTastewhatyou used toearn
39:24
كَذَّبَٱلَّذِينَمِنقَبْلِهِمْفَأَتَىٰهُمُٱلْعَذَابُمِنْحَيْثُلَايَشْعُرُونَ
yashʿurūnalāḥaythuminl-ʿadhābufa-atāhumuqablihimminalladhīnakadhaba
Deniedthose who(were) before them(were) before themso came upon themthe punishmentfromwherenotthey perceive
39:25
فَأَذَاقَهُمُٱللَّهُٱلْخِزْىَفِىٱلْحَيَوٰةِٱلدُّنْيَا ۖوَلَعَذَابُٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِأَكْبَرُ ۚلَوْكَانُوا۟يَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnakānūlawakbarul-ākhiratiwalaʿadhābul-dun'yāl-ḥayatifīl-khiz'yal-lahufa-adhāqahumu
So Allah made themSo Allah made themthe disgraceinthe life(of) the worldand certainly (the) punishment(of) the Hereafter(is) greateriftheyknew
39:26
وَلَقَدْضَرَبْنَالِلنَّاسِفِىهَـٰذَاٱلْقُرْءَانِمِنكُلِّمَثَلٍۢلَّعَلَّهُمْيَتَذَكَّرُونَ
yatadhakkarūnalaʿallahummathalinkulliminl-qur'ānihādhāfīlilnnāsiḍarabnāwalaqad
And indeedWe have set forthfor peopleinthisQuranofeveryexampleso that they maytake heed
39:27
قُرْءَانًاعَرَبِيًّاغَيْرَذِىعِوَجٍۢلَّعَلَّهُمْيَتَّقُونَ
yattaqūnalaʿallahumʿiwajindhīghayraʿarabiyyanqur'ānan
A Quran(in) Arabicwithoutanycrookednessso that they may(become) righteous
39:28
ضَرَبَٱللَّهُمَثَلًۭارَّجُلًۭافِيهِشُرَكَآءُمُتَشَـٰكِسُونَوَرَجُلًۭاسَلَمًۭالِّرَجُلٍهَلْيَسْتَوِيَانِمَثَلًا ۚٱلْحَمْدُلِلَّهِ ۚبَلْأَكْثَرُهُمْلَايَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnalāaktharuhumballillahil-ḥamdumathalanyastawiyānihallirajulinsalamanwarajulanmutashākisūnashurakāufīhirajulanmathalanl-lahuḍaraba
Allah sets forthAllah sets forthan example a manabout himpartnersquarrelingand a man(belonging) exclusivelyto one man arethey both equal(in) comparisonAll praise(be) to AllahNaymost of them(do) notknow
39:29
إِنَّكَمَيِّتٌۭوَإِنَّهُممَّيِّتُونَ
mayyitūnawa-innahummayyituninnaka
Indeed, youwill dieand indeed, they(will also) die
39:30
ثُمَّإِنَّكُمْيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِعِندَرَبِّكُمْتَخْتَصِمُونَ
takhtaṣimūnarabbikumʿindal-qiyāmatiyawmainnakumthumma
Thenindeed you(on the) Day(of) the Resurrectionbeforeyour Lordwill dispute
39:31
