Basmala
تَبَـٰرَكَٱلَّذِىبِيَدِهِٱلْمُلْكُوَهُوَعَلَىٰكُلِّشَىْءٍۢقَدِيرٌ
qadīrunshayinkulliʿalāwahuwal-mul'kubiyadihialladhītabāraka
Blessed isHein Whose Hand(is) the Dominionand He(is) overeverythingAll-Powerful
67:1
ٱلَّذِىخَلَقَٱلْمَوْتَوَٱلْحَيَوٰةَلِيَبْلُوَكُمْأَيُّكُمْأَحْسَنُعَمَلًۭا ۚوَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلْغَفُورُ
l-ghafūrul-ʿazīzuwahuwaʿamalanaḥsanuayyukumliyabluwakumwal-ḥayatal-mawtakhalaqaalladhī
The One Whocreateddeathand lifethat He may test youwhich of you(is) best(in) deedAnd He(is) the All-Mightythe Oft-Forgiving
67:2
ٱلَّذِىخَلَقَسَبْعَسَمَـٰوَٰتٍۢطِبَاقًۭا ۖمَّاتَرَىٰفِىخَلْقِٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِمِنتَفَـٰوُتٍۢ ۖفَٱرْجِعِٱلْبَصَرَهَلْتَرَىٰمِنفُطُورٍۢ
fuṭūrinmintarāhall-baṣarafa-ir'jiʿitafāwutinminl-raḥmānikhalqifītarāmāṭibāqansamāwātinsabʿakhalaqaalladhī
The One Whocreatedsevenheavensone above anotherNotyou seein(the) creation(of) the Most GraciousanyfaultSo returnthe visioncanyou seeanyflaw
67:3
ثُمَّٱرْجِعِٱلْبَصَرَكَرَّتَيْنِيَنقَلِبْإِلَيْكَٱلْبَصَرُخَاسِئًۭاوَهُوَحَسِيرٌۭ
ḥasīrunwahuwakhāsi-anl-baṣaruilaykayanqalibkarrataynil-baṣarair'jiʿithumma
Thenreturnthe visiontwice (again)Will returnto youthe visionhumbledwhile it(is) fatigued
67:4
وَلَقَدْزَيَّنَّاٱلسَّمَآءَٱلدُّنْيَابِمَصَـٰبِيحَوَجَعَلْنَـٰهَارُجُومًۭالِّلشَّيَـٰطِينِ ۖوَأَعْتَدْنَالَهُمْعَذَابَٱلسَّعِيرِ
l-saʿīriʿadhābalahumwa-aʿtadnālilshayāṭīnirujūmanwajaʿalnāhābimaṣābīḥal-dun'yāl-samāazayyannāwalaqad
And certainlyWe have beautifiedthe heavennearestwith lampsand We have made them(as) missilesfor the devilsand We have preparedfor thempunishment(of) the Blaze
67:5
وَلِلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟بِرَبِّهِمْعَذَابُجَهَنَّمَ ۖوَبِئْسَٱلْمَصِيرُ
l-maṣīruwabi'sajahannamaʿadhābubirabbihimkafarūwalilladhīna
And for those whodisbelievedin their Lord(is the) punishment(of) Helland wretched isthe destination
67:6
إِذَآأُلْقُوا۟فِيهَاسَمِعُوا۟لَهَاشَهِيقًۭاوَهِىَتَفُورُ
tafūruwahiyashahīqanlahāsamiʿūfīhāul'qūidhā
Whenthey are thrownthereinthey will hearfrom itan inhalingwhile itboils up
67:7
تَكَادُتَمَيَّزُمِنَٱلْغَيْظِ ۖكُلَّمَآأُلْقِىَفِيهَافَوْجٌۭسَأَلَهُمْخَزَنَتُهَآأَلَمْيَأْتِكُمْنَذِيرٌۭ
nadhīrunyatikumalamkhazanatuhāsa-alahumfawjunfīhāul'qiyakullamāl-ghayẓiminatamayyazutakādu
It almostburstsfromrageEvery timeis thrownthereina group(will) ask themits keepersDid notcome to youa warner
67:8
قَالُوا۟بَلَىٰقَدْجَآءَنَانَذِيرٌۭفَكَذَّبْنَاوَقُلْنَامَانَزَّلَٱللَّهُمِنشَىْءٍإِنْأَنتُمْإِلَّافِىضَلَـٰلٍۢكَبِيرٍۢ
kabīrinḍalālinfīillāantuminshayinminl-lahunazzalamāwaqul'nāfakadhabnānadhīrunjāanāqadbalāqālū
They will sayYesindeedcame to usa warnerbut we deniedand we saidNothas sent downAllahanythingNotyou (are)butinerrorgreat
67:9
وَقَالُوا۟لَوْكُنَّانَسْمَعُأَوْنَعْقِلُمَاكُنَّافِىٓأَصْحَـٰبِٱلسَّعِيرِ
l-saʿīriaṣḥābifīkunnāmānaʿqiluawnasmaʿukunnālawwaqālū
And they will sayIfwe hadlistenedorreasonednotwe (would) have beenamong(the) companions(of) the Blaze
67:10
فَٱعْتَرَفُوا۟بِذَنۢبِهِمْفَسُحْقًۭالِّأَصْحَـٰبِٱلسَّعِيرِ
l-saʿīrili-aṣḥābifasuḥ'qanbidhanbihimfa-iʿ'tarafū
Then they (will) confesstheir sinsso away with(the) companions(of) the Blaze
67:11
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَيَخْشَوْنَرَبَّهُمبِٱلْغَيْبِلَهُممَّغْفِرَةٌۭوَأَجْرٌۭكَبِيرٌۭ
kabīrunwa-ajrunmaghfiratunlahumbil-ghaybirabbahumyakhshawnaalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whofeartheir Lordunseenfor them(is) forgivenessand a rewardgreat
67:12
وَأَسِرُّوا۟قَوْلَكُمْأَوِٱجْهَرُوا۟بِهِۦٓ ۖإِنَّهُۥعَلِيمٌۢبِذَاتِٱلصُّدُورِ
l-ṣudūribidhātiʿalīmuninnahubihiij'harūawiqawlakumwa-asirrū
And concealyour speechorproclaimitIndeed, He(is the) All-Knowerof what (is in)the breasts
67:13
أَلَايَعْلَمُمَنْخَلَقَوَهُوَٱللَّطِيفُٱلْخَبِيرُ
l-khabīrul-laṭīfuwahuwakhalaqamanyaʿlamualā
Does notknow(the One) WhocreatedAnd He(is) the Subtlethe All-Aware
67:14
هُوَٱلَّذِىجَعَلَلَكُمُٱلْأَرْضَذَلُولًۭافَٱمْشُوا۟فِىمَنَاكِبِهَاوَكُلُوا۟مِنرِّزْقِهِۦ ۖوَإِلَيْهِٱلنُّشُورُ
l-nushūruwa-ilayhiriz'qihiminwakulūmanākibihāfīfa-im'shūdhalūlanl-arḍalakumujaʿalaalladhīhuwa
He(is) the One Whomadefor youthe earthsubservientso walkin(the) paths thereofand eatofHis provisionand to Him(is) the Resurrection
67:15
ءَأَمِنتُممَّنفِىٱلسَّمَآءِأَنيَخْسِفَبِكُمُٱلْأَرْضَفَإِذَاهِىَتَمُورُ
tamūruhiyafa-idhāl-arḍabikumuyakhsifaanl-samāifīmana-amintum
Do you feel secure(from Him) Who(is) inthe heavennotHe will cause to swallowyouthe earthwhenitsways
67:16
أَمْأَمِنتُممَّنفِىٱلسَّمَآءِأَنيُرْسِلَعَلَيْكُمْحَاصِبًۭا ۖفَسَتَعْلَمُونَكَيْفَنَذِيرِ
nadhīrikayfafasataʿlamūnaḥāṣibanʿalaykumyur'silaanl-samāifīmanamintumam
Ordo you feel secure(from Him) Who(is) inthe heaventhatHe will sendagainst youa storm of stonesThen you would knowhow(was) My warning
67:17
وَلَقَدْكَذَّبَٱلَّذِينَمِنقَبْلِهِمْفَكَيْفَكَانَنَكِيرِ
nakīrikānafakayfaqablihimminalladhīnakadhabawalaqad
And indeeddeniedthosefrombefore themand howwasMy rejection
67:18
أَوَلَمْيَرَوْا۟إِلَىٱلطَّيْرِفَوْقَهُمْصَـٰٓفَّـٰتٍۢوَيَقْبِضْنَ ۚمَايُمْسِكُهُنَّإِلَّاٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ ۚإِنَّهُۥبِكُلِّشَىْءٍۭبَصِيرٌ
baṣīrunshayinbikulliinnahul-raḥmānuillāyum'sikuhunnamāwayaqbiḍ'naṣāffātinfawqahuml-ṭayriilāyarawawalam
Do notthey see[to]the birdsabove themspreading (their wings)and foldingNotholds themexceptthe Most GraciousIndeed, He(is) of everythingAll-Seer
67:19
أَمَّنْهَـٰذَاٱلَّذِىهُوَجُندٌۭلَّكُمْيَنصُرُكُممِّندُونِٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۚإِنِٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَإِلَّافِىغُرُورٍ
ghurūrinfīillāl-kāfirūnainil-raḥmānidūniminyanṣurukumlakumjundunhuwaalladhīhādhāamman
Who isthisthe onehe(is) an armyfor youto help youfrombesidesthe Most GraciousNot(are) the disbelieversbutindelusion
67:20
أَمَّنْهَـٰذَاٱلَّذِىيَرْزُقُكُمْإِنْأَمْسَكَرِزْقَهُۥ ۚبَللَّجُّوا۟فِىعُتُوٍّۢوَنُفُورٍ
wanufūrinʿutuwwinfīlajjūbalriz'qahuamsakainyarzuqukumalladhīhādhāamman
Who isthisthe oneto provide youifHe withheldHis provisionNaythey persistinprideand aversion
67:21
أَفَمَنيَمْشِىمُكِبًّاعَلَىٰوَجْهِهِۦٓأَهْدَىٰٓأَمَّنيَمْشِىسَوِيًّاعَلَىٰصِرَٰطٍۢمُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
mus'taqīminṣirāṭinʿalāsawiyyanyamshīammanahdāwajhihiʿalāmukibbanyamshīafaman
Then is he whowalksfallenonhis facebetter guidedor (he) whowalksuprighton(the) PathStraight
67:22
قُلْهُوَٱلَّذِىٓأَنشَأَكُمْوَجَعَلَلَكُمُٱلسَّمْعَوَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرَوَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَ ۖقَلِيلًۭامَّاتَشْكُرُونَ
tashkurūnamāqalīlanwal-afidatawal-abṣāral-samʿalakumuwajaʿalaansha-akumalladhīhuwaqul
SayHe(is) the One Whoproduced youand madefor youthe hearingand the visionand the feelingsLittle(is) whatyou give thanks
67:23
قُلْهُوَٱلَّذِىذَرَأَكُمْفِىٱلْأَرْضِوَإِلَيْهِتُحْشَرُونَ
tuḥ'sharūnawa-ilayhil-arḍifīdhara-akumalladhīhuwaqul
SayHe(is) the One Whomultiplied youinthe earthand to Himyou will be gathered
67:24
وَيَقُولُونَمَتَىٰهَـٰذَاٱلْوَعْدُإِنكُنتُمْصَـٰدِقِينَ
ṣādiqīnakuntuminl-waʿduhādhāmatāwayaqūlūna
And they sayWhen(is) thispromiseifyou aretruthful
67:25
قُلْإِنَّمَاٱلْعِلْمُعِندَٱللَّهِوَإِنَّمَآأَنَا۠نَذِيرٌۭمُّبِينٌۭ
mubīnunnadhīrunanāwa-innamāl-lahiʿindal-ʿil'muinnamāqul
SayOnlythe knowledge(is) withAllahand onlyI ama warnerclear
67:26
فَلَمَّارَأَوْهُزُلْفَةًۭسِيٓـَٔتْوُجُوهُٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟وَقِيلَهَـٰذَاٱلَّذِىكُنتُمبِهِۦتَدَّعُونَ
taddaʿūnabihikuntumalladhīhādhāwaqīlakafarūalladhīnawujūhusīatzul'fatanra-awhufalammā
But whenthey (will) see itapproaching(will be) distressed(the) faces(of) those whodisbelievedand it will be saidThis(is) that whichyou used tofor itcall
67:27
قُلْأَرَءَيْتُمْإِنْأَهْلَكَنِىَٱللَّهُوَمَنمَّعِىَأَوْرَحِمَنَافَمَنيُجِيرُٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَمِنْعَذَابٍأَلِيمٍۢ
alīminʿadhābinminl-kāfirīnayujīrufamanraḥimanāawmaʿiyawamanl-lahuahlakaniyainara-aytumqul
SayHave you seenifdestroys meAllahand whoever(is) with meorhas mercy upon usthen who(can) protectthe disbelieversfroma punishmentpainful
67:28
قُلْهُوَٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُءَامَنَّابِهِۦوَعَلَيْهِتَوَكَّلْنَا ۖفَسَتَعْلَمُونَمَنْهُوَفِىضَلَـٰلٍۢمُّبِينٍۢ
mubīninḍalālinfīhuwamanfasataʿlamūnatawakkalnāwaʿalayhibihiāmannāl-raḥmānuhuwaqul
SayHe(is) the Most Graciouswe believein Himand upon Himwe put (our) trustSo you will knowwho(is) it(that is) inerrorclear
67:29
قُلْأَرَءَيْتُمْإِنْأَصْبَحَمَآؤُكُمْغَوْرًۭافَمَنيَأْتِيكُمبِمَآءٍۢمَّعِينٍۭ
maʿīninbimāinyatīkumfamanghawranmāukumaṣbaḥainara-aytumqul
SayHave you seenifbecomesyour watersunkenthen whocould bring youwaterflowing
67:30
Basmala
نٓ ۚوَٱلْقَلَمِوَمَايَسْطُرُونَ
yasṭurūnawamāwal-qalaminoon
NunBy the penand whatthey write
68:1
مَآأَنتَبِنِعْمَةِرَبِّكَبِمَجْنُونٍۢ
bimajnūninrabbikabiniʿ'matiantamā
Notyou (are)by (the) Grace(of) your Lorda madman
68:2
وَإِنَّلَكَلَأَجْرًاغَيْرَمَمْنُونٍۢ
mamnūninghayrala-ajranlakawa-inna
And indeedfor yousurely (is) a rewardwithoutend
68:3
وَإِنَّكَلَعَلَىٰخُلُقٍعَظِيمٍۢ
ʿaẓīminkhuluqinlaʿalāwa-innaka
And indeed, yousurely (are)(of) a moral charactergreat
68:4
فَسَتُبْصِرُوَيُبْصِرُونَ
wayub'ṣirūnafasatub'ṣiru
So you will seeand they will see
68:5
بِأَييِّكُمُٱلْمَفْتُونُ
l-maftūnubi-ayyikumu
Which of you(is) the afflicted one
68:6
إِنَّرَبَّكَهُوَأَعْلَمُبِمَنضَلَّعَنسَبِيلِهِۦوَهُوَأَعْلَمُبِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ
bil-muh'tadīnaaʿlamuwahuwasabīlihiʿanḍallabimanaʿlamuhuwarabbakainna
Indeedyour LordHe(is) most knowingof (he) whohas strayedfromHis wayand He(is) most knowingof the guided ones
68:7
فَلَاتُطِعِٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
l-mukadhibīnatuṭiʿifalā
So (do) notobeythe deniers
68:8
وَدُّوا۟لَوْتُدْهِنُفَيُدْهِنُونَ
fayud'hinūnatud'hinulawwaddū
They wishthatyou should compromiseso they would compromise
68:9
وَلَاتُطِعْكُلَّحَلَّافٍۢمَّهِينٍ
mahīninḥallāfinkullatuṭiʿwalā
And (do) notobeyeveryhabitual swearerworthless
68:10
هَمَّازٍۢمَّشَّآءٍۭبِنَمِيمٍۢ
binamīminmashāinhammāzin
Defamergoing aboutwith malicious gossip
68:11
مَّنَّاعٍۢلِّلْخَيْرِمُعْتَدٍأَثِيمٍ
athīminmuʿ'tadinlil'khayrimannāʿin
A preventerof (the) goodtransgressorsinful
68:12
عُتُلٍّۭبَعْدَذَٰلِكَزَنِيمٍ
zanīmindhālikabaʿdaʿutullin
Cruelafter(all) thatutterly useless
68:13
أَنكَانَذَامَالٍۢوَبَنِينَ
wabanīnamālindhākānaan
Because(he) isa possessor(of) wealthand children
68:14
إِذَاتُتْلَىٰعَلَيْهِءَايَـٰتُنَاقَالَأَسَـٰطِيرُٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnaasāṭīruqālaāyātunāʿalayhitut'lāidhā
Whenare recitedto himOur Verseshe saysStories(of) the former (people)
68:15
سَنَسِمُهُۥعَلَىٱلْخُرْطُومِ
l-khur'ṭūmiʿalāsanasimuhu
We will brand himonthe snout
68:16
إِنَّابَلَوْنَـٰهُمْكَمَابَلَوْنَآأَصْحَـٰبَٱلْجَنَّةِإِذْأَقْسَمُوا۟لَيَصْرِمُنَّهَامُصْبِحِينَ
muṣ'biḥīnalayaṣrimunnahāaqsamūidhl-janatiaṣḥābabalawnākamābalawnāhuminnā
Indeed, Wehave tried themasWe tried(the) companions(of) the gardenwhenthey sworeto pluck its fruit(in the) morning
68:17
وَلَايَسْتَثْنُونَ
yastathnūnawalā
And notmaking exception
68:18
فَطَافَعَلَيْهَاطَآئِفٌۭمِّنرَّبِّكَوَهُمْنَآئِمُونَ
nāimūnawahumrabbikaminṭāifunʿalayhāfaṭāfa
So there cameupon ita visitationfromyour Lordwhile theywere asleep
68:19
فَأَصْبَحَتْكَٱلصَّرِيمِ
kal-ṣarīmifa-aṣbaḥat
So it becameas if reaped
68:20
فَتَنَادَوْا۟مُصْبِحِينَ
muṣ'biḥīnafatanādaw
And they called one another(at) morning
68:21
أَنِٱغْدُوا۟عَلَىٰحَرْثِكُمْإِنكُنتُمْصَـٰرِمِينَ
ṣārimīnakuntuminḥarthikumʿalāigh'dūani
ThatGo earlytoyour cropifyou wouldpluck (the) fruit
68:22
فَٱنطَلَقُوا۟وَهُمْيَتَخَـٰفَتُونَ
yatakhāfatūnawahumfa-inṭalaqū
So they wentwhile theylowered (their) voices
68:23
أَنلَّايَدْخُلَنَّهَاٱلْيَوْمَعَلَيْكُممِّسْكِينٌۭ
mis'kīnunʿalaykuml-yawmayadkhulannahālāan
ThatNotwill enter ittodayupon youany poor person
68:24
وَغَدَوْا۟عَلَىٰحَرْدٍۢقَـٰدِرِينَ
qādirīnaḥardinʿalāwaghadaw
And they went earlywithdeterminationable
68:25
فَلَمَّارَأَوْهَاقَالُوٓا۟إِنَّالَضَآلُّونَ
laḍāllūnainnāqālūra-awhāfalammā
But whenthey saw itthey saidIndeed, we(are) surely lost
68:26
بَلْنَحْنُمَحْرُومُونَ
maḥrūmūnanaḥnubal
NayWe(are) deprived
68:27
قَالَأَوْسَطُهُمْأَلَمْأَقُللَّكُمْلَوْلَاتُسَبِّحُونَ
tusabbiḥūnalawlālakumaqulalamawsaṭuhumqāla
Said(the) most moderate of themDid notI tellyou'Why notyou glorify (Allah)?'
68:28
قَالُوا۟سُبْحَـٰنَرَبِّنَآإِنَّاكُنَّاظَـٰلِمِينَ
ẓālimīnakunnāinnārabbināsub'ḥānaqālū
They saidGlory be(to) our LordIndeed, we[we] werewrongdoers
68:29
فَأَقْبَلَبَعْضُهُمْعَلَىٰبَعْضٍۢيَتَلَـٰوَمُونَ
yatalāwamūnabaʿḍinʿalābaʿḍuhumfa-aqbala
Then approachedsome of themtoothersblaming each other
68:30
قَالُوا۟يَـٰوَيْلَنَآإِنَّاكُنَّاطَـٰغِينَ
ṭāghīnakunnāinnāyāwaylanāqālū
They saidO woe to usIndeed, we[we] weretransgressors
68:31
عَسَىٰرَبُّنَآأَنيُبْدِلَنَاخَيْرًۭامِّنْهَآإِنَّآإِلَىٰرَبِّنَارَٰغِبُونَ
rāghibūnarabbināilāinnāmin'hākhayranyub'dilanāanrabbunāʿasā
Perhapsour Lord[that]will substitute for usa betterthan itIndeed, wetoour Lordturn devoutly
68:32
كَذَٰلِكَٱلْعَذَابُ ۖوَلَعَذَابُٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِأَكْبَرُ ۚلَوْكَانُوا۟يَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnakānūlawakbarul-ākhiratiwalaʿadhābul-ʿadhābukadhālika
Such(is) the punishmentAnd surely the punishment(of) the Hereafter(is) greateriftheyknow
68:33
إِنَّلِلْمُتَّقِينَعِندَرَبِّهِمْجَنَّـٰتِٱلنَّعِيمِ
l-naʿīmijannātirabbihimʿindalil'muttaqīnainna
Indeedfor the righteouswiththeir Lord(are) Gardens(of) Delight
68:34
أَفَنَجْعَلُٱلْمُسْلِمِينَكَٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
kal-muj'rimīnal-mus'limīnaafanajʿalu
Then will We treatthe Muslimslike the criminals
68:35
مَالَكُمْكَيْفَتَحْكُمُونَ
taḥkumūnakayfalakummā
What(is) for youHow(do) you judge
68:36
أَمْلَكُمْكِتَـٰبٌۭفِيهِتَدْرُسُونَ
tadrusūnafīhikitābunlakumam
Or(is) for youa bookwhereinyou learn
68:37
إِنَّلَكُمْفِيهِلَمَاتَخَيَّرُونَ
takhayyarūnalamāfīhilakuminna
Indeedfor youin itwhatyou choose
68:38
أَمْلَكُمْأَيْمَـٰنٌعَلَيْنَابَـٰلِغَةٌإِلَىٰيَوْمِٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۙإِنَّلَكُمْلَمَاتَحْكُمُونَ
taḥkumūnalamālakuminnal-qiyāmatiyawmiilābālighatunʿalaynāaymānunlakumam
Orfor youoathsfrom usreachingto(the) Day(of) the Resurrectionindeedfor you(is) whatyou judge
68:39
سَلْهُمْأَيُّهُمبِذَٰلِكَزَعِيمٌ
zaʿīmunbidhālikaayyuhumsalhum
Ask themwhich of themfor that(is) responsible
68:40
أَمْلَهُمْشُرَكَآءُفَلْيَأْتُوا۟بِشُرَكَآئِهِمْإِنكَانُوا۟صَـٰدِقِينَ
ṣādiqīnakānūinbishurakāihimfalyatūshurakāulahumam
Or(are) for thempartnersThen let them bringtheir partnersifthey aretruthful
68:41
يَوْمَيُكْشَفُعَنسَاقٍۢوَيُدْعَوْنَإِلَىٱلسُّجُودِفَلَايَسْتَطِيعُونَ
yastaṭīʿūnafalāl-sujūdiilāwayud'ʿawnasāqinʿanyuk'shafuyawma
(The) Daywill be uncoveredfromthe shinand they will be calledtoprostratebut notthey will be able
68:42
خَـٰشِعَةًأَبْصَـٰرُهُمْتَرْهَقُهُمْذِلَّةٌۭ ۖوَقَدْكَانُوا۟يُدْعَوْنَإِلَىٱلسُّجُودِوَهُمْسَـٰلِمُونَ
sālimūnawahuml-sujūdiilāyud'ʿawnakānūwaqaddhillatuntarhaquhumabṣāruhumkhāshiʿatan
Humbledtheir eyeswill cover themhumiliationAnd indeedthey werecalledtoprostratewhile they(were) sound
68:43
فَذَرْنِىوَمَنيُكَذِّبُبِهَـٰذَاٱلْحَدِيثِ ۖسَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُممِّنْحَيْثُلَايَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnalāḥaythuminsanastadrijuhuml-ḥadīthibihādhāyukadhibuwamanfadharnī
So leave Meand whoeverdeniesthisStatementWe will progressively lead themfromwherenotthey know
68:44
وَأُمْلِىلَهُمْ ۚإِنَّكَيْدِىمَتِينٌ
matīnunkaydīinnalahumwa-um'lī
And I will give respiteto themIndeedMy plan(is) firm
68:45
أَمْتَسْـَٔلُهُمْأَجْرًۭافَهُممِّنمَّغْرَمٍۢمُّثْقَلُونَ
muth'qalūnamaghraminminfahumajrantasaluhumam
Oryou ask thema paymentso theyfrom(the) debt(are) burdened
68:46
أَمْعِندَهُمُٱلْغَيْبُفَهُمْيَكْتُبُونَ
yaktubūnafahuml-ghaybuʿindahumuam
Or(is) with themthe unseenso theywrite it
68:47
فَٱصْبِرْلِحُكْمِرَبِّكَوَلَاتَكُنكَصَاحِبِٱلْحُوتِإِذْنَادَىٰوَهُوَمَكْظُومٌۭ
makẓūmunwahuwanādāidhl-ḥūtikaṣāḥibitakunwalārabbikaliḥuk'mifa-iṣ'bir
So be patientfor (the) decision(of) your Lordand (do) notbelike (the) companion(of) the fishwhenhe called outwhile he(was) distressed
68:48
لَّوْلَآأَنتَدَٰرَكَهُۥنِعْمَةٌۭمِّنرَّبِّهِۦلَنُبِذَبِٱلْعَرَآءِوَهُوَمَذْمُومٌۭ
madhmūmunwahuwabil-ʿarāilanubidharabbihiminniʿ'matuntadārakahuanlawlā
If notthatovertook hima Favorfromhis Lordsurely he would have been thrownonto (the) naked shorewhile he(was) blamed
68:49
فَٱجْتَبَـٰهُرَبُّهُۥفَجَعَلَهُۥمِنَٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
l-ṣāliḥīnaminafajaʿalahurabbuhufa-ij'tabāhu
But chose himhis Lordand made himofthe righteous
68:50
وَإِنيَكَادُٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟لَيُزْلِقُونَكَبِأَبْصَـٰرِهِمْلَمَّاسَمِعُوا۟ٱلذِّكْرَوَيَقُولُونَإِنَّهُۥلَمَجْنُونٌۭ
lamajnūnuninnahuwayaqūlūnal-dhik'rasamiʿūlammābi-abṣārihimlayuz'liqūnakakafarūalladhīnayakāduwa-in
And indeedwould almostthose whodisbelievesurely make you slipwith their lookwhenthey hearthe Messageand they sayIndeed, he(is) surely mad
68:51
وَمَاهُوَإِلَّاذِكْرٌۭلِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
lil'ʿālamīnadhik'runillāhuwawamā
And notit (is)buta Reminderto the worlds
68:52

ٱلْحَآقَّةُ
al-ḥāqatu
The Inevitable Reality
69:1
مَاٱلْحَآقَّةُ
l-ḥāqatumā
What(is) the Inevitable Reality
69:2
وَمَآأَدْرَىٰكَمَاٱلْحَآقَّةُ
l-ḥāqatumāadrākawamā
And whatwill make you knowwhat(is) the Inevitable Reality
69:3
كَذَّبَتْثَمُودُوَعَادٌۢبِٱلْقَارِعَةِ
bil-qāriʿatiwaʿādunthamūdukadhabat
DeniedThamudand Aadthe Striking Calamity
69:4
فَأَمَّاثَمُودُفَأُهْلِكُوا۟بِٱلطَّاغِيَةِ
bil-ṭāghiyatifa-uh'likūthamūdufa-ammā
So as forThamudthey were destroyedby the overpowering (blast)
69:5
وَأَمَّاعَادٌۭفَأُهْلِكُوا۟بِرِيحٍۢصَرْصَرٍعَاتِيَةٍۢ
ʿātiyatinṣarṣarinbirīḥinfa-uh'likūʿādunwa-ammā
And as forAadthey were destroyedby a windscreamingviolent
69:6
سَخَّرَهَاعَلَيْهِمْسَبْعَلَيَالٍۢوَثَمَـٰنِيَةَأَيَّامٍحُسُومًۭافَتَرَىٱلْقَوْمَفِيهَاصَرْعَىٰكَأَنَّهُمْأَعْجَازُنَخْلٍخَاوِيَةٍۢ
khāwiyatinnakhlinaʿjāzuka-annahumṣarʿāfīhāl-qawmafatarāḥusūmanayyāminwathamāniyatalayālinsabʿaʿalayhimsakharahā
Which He imposedupon them(for) sevennightsand eightdays(in) successionso you would seethe peoplethereinfallenas if they weretrunks(of) date-palmshollow
69:7
فَهَلْتَرَىٰلَهُممِّنۢبَاقِيَةٍۢ
bāqiyatinminlahumtarāfahal
Then doyou seeof themanyremains
69:8
وَجَآءَفِرْعَوْنُوَمَنقَبْلَهُۥوَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَـٰتُبِٱلْخَاطِئَةِ
bil-khāṭi-atiwal-mu'tafikātuqablahuwamanfir'ʿawnuwajāa
And cameFiraunand (those)before himand the overturned citieswith sin
69:9
فَعَصَوْا۟رَسُولَرَبِّهِمْفَأَخَذَهُمْأَخْذَةًۭرَّابِيَةً
rābiyatanakhdhatanfa-akhadhahumrabbihimrasūlafaʿaṣaw
And they disobeyed(the) Messenger(of) their Lordso He seized them(with) a seizureexceeding
69:10
إِنَّالَمَّاطَغَاٱلْمَآءُحَمَلْنَـٰكُمْفِىٱلْجَارِيَةِ
l-jāriyatifīḥamalnākuml-māuṭaghālammāinnā
Indeed, Wewhenoverflowedthe waterWe carried youinthe sailing (ship)
69:11
لِنَجْعَلَهَالَكُمْتَذْكِرَةًۭوَتَعِيَهَآأُذُنٌۭوَٰعِيَةٌۭ
wāʿiyatunudhununwataʿiyahātadhkiratanlakumlinajʿalahā
That We might make itfor youa reminderand would be conscious of itan earconscious
69:12
فَإِذَانُفِخَفِىٱلصُّورِنَفْخَةٌۭوَٰحِدَةٌۭ
wāḥidatunnafkhatunl-ṣūrifīnufikhafa-idhā
Then whenis blowninthe trumpet a blastsingle
69:13
وَحُمِلَتِٱلْأَرْضُوَٱلْجِبَالُفَدُكَّتَادَكَّةًۭوَٰحِدَةًۭ
wāḥidatandakkatanfadukkatāwal-jibālul-arḍuwaḥumilati
And are liftedthe earthand the mountainsand crushed(with) a crushingsingle
69:14
فَيَوْمَئِذٍۢوَقَعَتِٱلْوَاقِعَةُ
l-wāqiʿatuwaqaʿatifayawma-idhin
Then (on) that Daywill occurthe Occurrence
69:15
وَٱنشَقَّتِٱلسَّمَآءُفَهِىَيَوْمَئِذٍۢوَاهِيَةٌۭ
wāhiyatunyawma-idhinfahiyal-samāuwa-inshaqqati
And will splitthe heavenso it(is on) that Dayfrail
69:16
وَٱلْمَلَكُعَلَىٰٓأَرْجَآئِهَا ۚوَيَحْمِلُعَرْشَرَبِّكَفَوْقَهُمْيَوْمَئِذٍۢثَمَـٰنِيَةٌۭ
thamāniyatunyawma-idhinfawqahumrabbikaʿarshawayaḥmiluarjāihāʿalāwal-malaku
And the Angels(will be) onits edgesand will bear(the) Throne(of) your Lordabove themthat Dayeight
69:17
يَوْمَئِذٍۢتُعْرَضُونَلَاتَخْفَىٰمِنكُمْخَافِيَةٌۭ
khāfiyatunminkumtakhfālātuʿ'raḍūnayawma-idhin
That Dayyou will be exhibitednotwill be hiddenamong youany secret
69:18
فَأَمَّامَنْأُوتِىَكِتَـٰبَهُۥبِيَمِينِهِۦفَيَقُولُهَآؤُمُٱقْرَءُوا۟كِتَـٰبِيَهْ
kitābiyahiq'raūhāumufayaqūlubiyamīnihikitābahuūtiyamanfa-ammā
Then as for(him) whois givenhis recordin his right handwill sayHerereadmy record
69:19
إِنِّىظَنَنتُأَنِّىمُلَـٰقٍحِسَابِيَهْ
ḥisābiyahmulāqinannīẓanantuinnī
Indeed, Iwas certainthat I(will) meetmy account
69:20
فَهُوَفِىعِيشَةٍۢرَّاضِيَةٍۢ
rāḍiyatinʿīshatinfīfahuwa
So he(will be) ina lifepleasant
69:21
فِىجَنَّةٍعَالِيَةٍۢ
ʿāliyatinjannatinfī
Ina Gardenelevated
69:22
قُطُوفُهَادَانِيَةٌۭ
dāniyatunquṭūfuhā
Its clusters of fruitshanging near
69:23
كُلُوا۟وَٱشْرَبُوا۟هَنِيٓـًٔۢابِمَآأَسْلَفْتُمْفِىٱلْأَيَّامِٱلْخَالِيَةِ
l-khāliyatil-ayāmifīaslaftumbimāhanīanwa-ish'rabūkulū
Eatand drink(in) satisfactionfor whatyou sent before youinthe dayspast
69:24
وَأَمَّامَنْأُوتِىَكِتَـٰبَهُۥبِشِمَالِهِۦفَيَقُولُيَـٰلَيْتَنِىلَمْأُوتَكِتَـٰبِيَهْ
kitābiyahūtalamyālaytanīfayaqūlubishimālihikitābahuūtiyamanwa-ammā
But as for(him) whois givenhis recordin his left handwill sayO! I wishnotI had been givenmy record
69:25
وَلَمْأَدْرِمَاحِسَابِيَهْ
ḥisābiyahmāadriwalam
And notI had knownwhat(is) my account
69:26
يَـٰلَيْتَهَاكَانَتِٱلْقَاضِيَةَ
l-qāḍiyatakānatiyālaytahā
O! I wish ithad beenthe end
69:27
مَآأَغْنَىٰعَنِّىمَالِيَهْ ۜ
māliyahʿannīaghnāmā
Nothas availedmemy wealth
69:28
هَلَكَعَنِّىسُلْطَـٰنِيَهْ
sul'ṭāniyahʿannīhalaka
Is gonefrom memy authority
69:29
خُذُوهُفَغُلُّوهُ
faghullūhukhudhūhu
Seize himand shackle him
69:30
ثُمَّٱلْجَحِيمَصَلُّوهُ
ṣallūhul-jaḥīmathumma
Then(into) the Hellfireburn him
69:31
ثُمَّفِىسِلْسِلَةٍۢذَرْعُهَاسَبْعُونَذِرَاعًۭافَٱسْلُكُوهُ
fa-us'lukūhudhirāʿansabʿūnadharʿuhāsil'silatinfīthumma
Thenintoa chainits length(is) seventycubitsinsert him
69:32
إِنَّهُۥكَانَلَايُؤْمِنُبِٱللَّهِٱلْعَظِيمِ
l-ʿaẓīmibil-lahiyu'minulākānainnahu
Indeed, hewasnotbelievingin Allahthe Most Great
69:33
وَلَايَحُضُّعَلَىٰطَعَامِٱلْمِسْكِينِ
l-mis'kīniṭaʿāmiʿalāyaḥuḍḍuwalā
And (did) notfeel the urgeon(the) feeding(of) the poor
69:34
فَلَيْسَلَهُٱلْيَوْمَهَـٰهُنَاحَمِيمٌۭ
ḥamīmunhāhunāl-yawmalahufalaysa
So notfor himtodayhereany devoted friend
69:35
وَلَاطَعَامٌإِلَّامِنْغِسْلِينٍۢ
ghis'līninminillāṭaʿāmunwalā
And notany foodexceptfrom(the) discharge of wounds
69:36
لَّايَأْكُلُهُۥٓإِلَّاٱلْخَـٰطِـُٔونَ
l-khāṭiūnaillāyakuluhulā
Notwill eat itexceptthe sinners
69:37
فَلَآأُقْسِمُبِمَاتُبْصِرُونَ
tub'ṣirūnabimāuq'simufalā
But nayI swearby whatyou see
69:38
وَمَالَاتُبْصِرُونَ
tub'ṣirūnalāwamā
And whatnotyou see
69:39
إِنَّهُۥلَقَوْلُرَسُولٍۢكَرِيمٍۢ
karīminrasūlinlaqawluinnahu
Indeed, it (is)surely (the) Word(of) a Messengernoble
69:40
وَمَاهُوَبِقَوْلِشَاعِرٍۢ ۚقَلِيلًۭامَّاتُؤْمِنُونَ
tu'minūnamāqalīlanshāʿirinbiqawlihuwawamā
And notit(is the) word(of) a poetlittle(is) whatyou believe
69:41
وَلَابِقَوْلِكَاهِنٍۢ ۚقَلِيلًۭامَّاتَذَكَّرُونَ
tadhakkarūnamāqalīlankāhininbiqawliwalā
And not(it is the) word(of) a soothsayerlittle(is) whatyou take heed
69:42
تَنزِيلٌۭمِّنرَّبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnarabbimintanzīlun
(It is) a revelationfrom(the) Lord(of) the worlds
69:43
وَلَوْتَقَوَّلَعَلَيْنَابَعْضَٱلْأَقَاوِيلِ
l-aqāwīlibaʿḍaʿalaynātaqawwalawalaw
And ifhe (had) fabricatedagainst Ussomesayings
69:44
لَأَخَذْنَامِنْهُبِٱلْيَمِينِ
bil-yamīnimin'hula-akhadhnā
Certainly We (would) have seizedhimby the right hand
69:45
ثُمَّلَقَطَعْنَامِنْهُٱلْوَتِينَ
l-watīnamin'hulaqaṭaʿnāthumma
Thencertainly We (would) have cut offfrom himthe aorta
69:46
فَمَامِنكُممِّنْأَحَدٍعَنْهُحَـٰجِزِينَ
ḥājizīnaʿanhuaḥadinminminkumfamā
And notfrom youanyone[from him](who could) prevent (it)
69:47
وَإِنَّهُۥلَتَذْكِرَةٌۭلِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
lil'muttaqīnalatadhkiratunwa-innahu
And indeed, it(is) surely a reminderfor the Allah-fearing
69:48
وَإِنَّالَنَعْلَمُأَنَّمِنكُممُّكَذِّبِينَ
mukadhibīnaminkumannalanaʿlamuwa-innā
And indeed, Wesurely knowthatamong you(are) deniers
69:49
وَإِنَّهُۥلَحَسْرَةٌعَلَىٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīnaʿalālaḥasratunwa-innahu
And indeed, it(is) surely a regretuponthe disbelievers
69:50
وَإِنَّهُۥلَحَقُّٱلْيَقِينِ
l-yaqīnilaḥaqquwa-innahu
And indeed, it (is)surely (the) truth(of) certainty
69:51
فَسَبِّحْبِٱسْمِرَبِّكَٱلْعَظِيمِ
l-ʿaẓīmirabbikabi-is'mifasabbiḥ
So glorify(the) name(of) your Lordthe Most Great
69:52
Basmala
سَأَلَسَآئِلٌۢبِعَذَابٍۢوَاقِعٍۢ
wāqiʿinbiʿadhābinsāilunsa-ala
Askeda questionerabout a punishmentbound to happen
70:1
لِّلْكَـٰفِرِينَلَيْسَلَهُۥدَافِعٌۭ
dāfiʿunlahulaysalil'kāfirīna
To the disbelieversnotof itany preventer
70:2
مِّنَٱللَّهِذِىٱلْمَعَارِجِ
l-maʿārijidhīl-lahimina
FromAllahOwner(of) the ways of ascent
70:3
تَعْرُجُٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُوَٱلرُّوحُإِلَيْهِفِىيَوْمٍۢكَانَمِقْدَارُهُۥخَمْسِينَأَلْفَسَنَةٍۢ
sanatinalfakhamsīnamiq'dāruhukānayawminfīilayhiwal-rūḥul-malāikatutaʿruju
Ascendthe Angelsand the Spiritto Himina Day[is]its measure(is) fiftythousandyear(s)
70:4
فَٱصْبِرْصَبْرًۭاجَمِيلًا
jamīlanṣabranfa-iṣ'bir
So be patienta patiencegood
70:5
إِنَّهُمْيَرَوْنَهُۥبَعِيدًۭا
baʿīdanyarawnahuinnahum
Indeed, theysee it(as) far off
70:6
وَنَرَىٰهُقَرِيبًۭا
qarībanwanarāhu
But We see itnear
70:7
يَوْمَتَكُونُٱلسَّمَآءُكَٱلْمُهْلِ
kal-muh'lil-samāutakūnuyawma
(The) Day will bethe skylike molten copper
70:8
وَتَكُونُٱلْجِبَالُكَٱلْعِهْنِ
kal-ʿih'nil-jibāluwatakūnu
And will bethe mountainslike wool
70:9
وَلَايَسْـَٔلُحَمِيمٌحَمِيمًۭا
ḥamīmanḥamīmunyasaluwalā
And notwill aska friend(about) a friend
70:10
يُبَصَّرُونَهُمْ ۚيَوَدُّٱلْمُجْرِمُلَوْيَفْتَدِىمِنْعَذَابِيَوْمِئِذٍۭبِبَنِيهِ
bibanīhiyawmi-idhinʿadhābiminyaftadīlawl-muj'rimuyawadduyubaṣṣarūnahum
They will be made to see each otherWould wishthe criminalifhe (could be) ransomedfrom(the) punishment(of) that Dayby his children
70:11
وَصَـٰحِبَتِهِۦوَأَخِيهِ
wa-akhīhiwaṣāḥibatihi
And his spouseand his brother
70:12
وَفَصِيلَتِهِٱلَّتِىتُـْٔوِيهِ
tu'wīhiallatīwafaṣīlatihi
And his nearest kindredwhosheltered him
70:13
وَمَنفِىٱلْأَرْضِجَمِيعًۭاثُمَّيُنجِيهِ
yunjīhithummajamīʿanl-arḍifīwaman
And whoever(is) onthe earthallthenit (could) save him
70:14
كَلَّآ ۖإِنَّهَالَظَىٰ
laẓāinnahākallā
By no meansIndeed, it (is)surely a Flame of Hell
70:15
نَزَّاعَةًۭلِّلشَّوَىٰ
lilshawānazzāʿatan
A removerof the skin of the head
70:16
تَدْعُوا۟مَنْأَدْبَرَوَتَوَلَّىٰ
watawallāadbaramantadʿū
Inviting(him) whoturned his backand went away
70:17
وَجَمَعَفَأَوْعَىٰٓ
fa-awʿāwajamaʿa
And collectedand hoarded
70:18
۞ إِنَّٱلْإِنسَـٰنَخُلِقَهَلُوعًا
halūʿankhuliqal-insānainna
Indeedthe manwas createdanxious
70:19
إِذَامَسَّهُٱلشَّرُّجَزُوعًۭا
jazūʿanl-sharumassahuidhā
Whentouches himthe evildistressed
70:20
وَإِذَامَسَّهُٱلْخَيْرُمَنُوعًا
manūʿanl-khayrumassahuwa-idhā
And whentouches himthe goodwithholding
70:21
إِلَّاٱلْمُصَلِّينَ
l-muṣalīnaillā
Exceptthose who pray
70:22
ٱلَّذِينَهُمْعَلَىٰصَلَاتِهِمْدَآئِمُونَ
dāimūnaṣalātihimʿalāhumalladhīna
Those who[they]attheir prayer(are) constant
70:23
وَٱلَّذِينَفِىٓأَمْوَٰلِهِمْحَقٌّۭمَّعْلُومٌۭ
maʿlūmunḥaqqunamwālihimfīwa-alladhīna
And those whointheir wealth(is) a rightknown
70:24
لِّلسَّآئِلِوَٱلْمَحْرُومِ
wal-maḥrūmililssāili
For the one who asksand the deprived
70:25
وَٱلَّذِينَيُصَدِّقُونَبِيَوْمِٱلدِّينِ
l-dīnibiyawmiyuṣaddiqūnawa-alladhīna
And those whoaccept (the) truth(of the) Day(of) the Judgment
70:26
وَٱلَّذِينَهُممِّنْعَذَابِرَبِّهِممُّشْفِقُونَ
mush'fiqūnarabbihimʿadhābiminhumwa-alladhīna
And those who[they]of(the) punishment(of) their Lord(are) fearful
70:27
إِنَّعَذَابَرَبِّهِمْغَيْرُمَأْمُونٍۢ
mamūninghayrurabbihimʿadhābainna
Indeed(the) punishment(of) your Lord(is) notto be felt secure (of)
70:28
وَٱلَّذِينَهُمْلِفُرُوجِهِمْحَـٰفِظُونَ
ḥāfiẓūnalifurūjihimhumwa-alladhīna
And those who[they]their modesty(are) guardians
70:29
إِلَّاعَلَىٰٓأَزْوَٰجِهِمْأَوْمَامَلَكَتْأَيْمَـٰنُهُمْفَإِنَّهُمْغَيْرُمَلُومِينَ
malūmīnaghayrufa-innahumaymānuhummalakatmāawazwājihimʿalāillā
Exceptfromtheir spousesorwhatthey possessrightfullythen indeed, they(are) notblameworthy
70:30
فَمَنِٱبْتَغَىٰوَرَآءَذَٰلِكَفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْعَادُونَ
l-ʿādūnahumufa-ulāikadhālikawarāaib'taghāfamani
But whoeverseeksbeyondthatthen those[they](are) the transgressors
70:31
وَٱلَّذِينَهُمْلِأَمَـٰنَـٰتِهِمْوَعَهْدِهِمْرَٰعُونَ
rāʿūnawaʿahdihimli-amānātihimhumwa-alladhīna
And those who[they]of their trustsand their promise(are) observers
70:32
وَٱلَّذِينَهُمبِشَهَـٰدَٰتِهِمْقَآئِمُونَ
qāimūnabishahādātihimhumwa-alladhīna
And those who[they]in their testimoniesstand firm
70:33
وَٱلَّذِينَهُمْعَلَىٰصَلَاتِهِمْيُحَافِظُونَ
yuḥāfiẓūnaṣalātihimʿalāhumwa-alladhīna
And those who[they]ontheir prayerkeep a guard
70:34
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَفِىجَنَّـٰتٍۢمُّكْرَمُونَ
muk'ramūnajannātinfīulāika
Those(will be) inGardenshonored
70:35
فَمَالِٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟قِبَلَكَمُهْطِعِينَ
muh'ṭiʿīnaqibalakakafarūalladhīnafamāli
So what is withthose whodisbelievebefore you(they) hasten
70:36
عَنِٱلْيَمِينِوَعَنِٱلشِّمَالِعِزِينَ
ʿizīnal-shimāliwaʿanil-yamīniʿani
Onthe rightand onthe left(in) separate groups
70:37
أَيَطْمَعُكُلُّٱمْرِئٍۢمِّنْهُمْأَنيُدْخَلَجَنَّةَنَعِيمٍۢ
naʿīminjannatayud'khalaanmin'humim'ri-inkulluayaṭmaʿu
Does longeverypersonamong themthathe entersa Garden(of) Delight
70:38
كَلَّآ ۖإِنَّاخَلَقْنَـٰهُممِّمَّايَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnamimmākhalaqnāhuminnākallā
By no meansIndeed, We[We] have created themfrom whatthey know
70:39
فَلَآأُقْسِمُبِرَبِّٱلْمَشَـٰرِقِوَٱلْمَغَـٰرِبِإِنَّالَقَـٰدِرُونَ
laqādirūnainnāwal-maghāribil-mashāriqibirabbiuq'simufalā
But nayI swearby (the) Lord(of) the risingsand the settingsthat We(are) surely Able
70:40
عَلَىٰٓأَننُّبَدِّلَخَيْرًۭامِّنْهُمْوَمَانَحْنُبِمَسْبُوقِينَ
bimasbūqīnanaḥnuwamāmin'humkhayrannubaddilaanʿalā
[On]to[We] replace(with) betterthan themand notWe(are) to be outrun
70:41
فَذَرْهُمْيَخُوضُوا۟وَيَلْعَبُوا۟حَتَّىٰيُلَـٰقُوا۟يَوْمَهُمُٱلَّذِىيُوعَدُونَ
yūʿadūnaalladhīyawmahumuyulāqūḥattāwayalʿabūyakhūḍūfadharhum
So leave them(to) converse vainlyand amuse themselvesuntilthey meettheir Daywhichthey are promised
70:42
يَوْمَيَخْرُجُونَمِنَٱلْأَجْدَاثِسِرَاعًۭاكَأَنَّهُمْإِلَىٰنُصُبٍۢيُوفِضُونَ
yūfiḍūnanuṣubinilāka-annahumsirāʿanl-ajdāthiminayakhrujūnayawma
(The) Daythey will come outfromthe gravesrapidlyas if they (were)toa goalhastening
70:43
خَـٰشِعَةًأَبْصَـٰرُهُمْتَرْهَقُهُمْذِلَّةٌۭ ۚذَٰلِكَٱلْيَوْمُٱلَّذِىكَانُوا۟يُوعَدُونَ
yūʿadūnakānūalladhīl-yawmudhālikadhillatuntarhaquhumabṣāruhumkhāshiʿatan
Humbledtheir eyesightswill cover themhumiliationThat(is) the Daywhichthey werepromised
70:44
Basmala
إِنَّآأَرْسَلْنَانُوحًاإِلَىٰقَوْمِهِۦٓأَنْأَنذِرْقَوْمَكَمِنقَبْلِأَنيَأْتِيَهُمْعَذَابٌأَلِيمٌۭ
alīmunʿadhābunyatiyahumanqabliminqawmakaandhiranqawmihiilānūḥanarsalnāinnā
Indeed, We[We] sentNuhtohis peoplethatWarnyour peoplefrombefore[that]comes to thema punishmentpainful
71:1
قَالَيَـٰقَوْمِإِنِّىلَكُمْنَذِيرٌۭمُّبِينٌ
mubīnunnadhīrunlakuminnīyāqawmiqāla
He saidO my peopleIndeed, I amto youa warnerclear
71:2
أَنِٱعْبُدُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَٱتَّقُوهُوَأَطِيعُونِ
wa-aṭīʿūniwa-ittaqūhul-lahauʿ'budūani
ThatWorshipAllahand fear Himand obey me
71:3
يَغْفِرْلَكُممِّنذُنُوبِكُمْوَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْإِلَىٰٓأَجَلٍۢمُّسَمًّى ۚإِنَّأَجَلَٱللَّهِإِذَاجَآءَلَايُؤَخَّرُ ۖلَوْكُنتُمْتَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūnakuntumlawyu-akharulājāaidhāl-lahiajalainnamusammanajalinilāwayu-akhir'kumdhunūbikumminlakumyaghfir
He will forgivefor you[of]your sinsand give you respitefora termspecifiedIndeed(the) term(of) Allahwhenit comesnotis delayedifyouknow
71:4
قَالَرَبِّإِنِّىدَعَوْتُقَوْمِىلَيْلًۭاوَنَهَارًۭا
wanahāranlaylanqawmīdaʿawtuinnīrabbiqāla
He saidMy LordIndeed, Iinvitedmy peoplenightand day
71:5
فَلَمْيَزِدْهُمْدُعَآءِىٓإِلَّافِرَارًۭا
firāranillāduʿāīyazid'humfalam
But notincreased themmy invitationexcept(in) flight
71:6
وَإِنِّىكُلَّمَادَعَوْتُهُمْلِتَغْفِرَلَهُمْجَعَلُوٓا۟أَصَـٰبِعَهُمْفِىٓءَاذَانِهِمْوَٱسْتَغْشَوْا۟ثِيَابَهُمْوَأَصَرُّوا۟وَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ٱسْتِكْبَارًۭا
is'tik'bāranwa-is'takbarūwa-aṣarrūthiyābahumwa-is'taghshawādhānihimfīaṣābiʿahumjaʿalūlahumlitaghfiradaʿawtuhumkullamāwa-innī
And indeed, Ievery timeI invited themthat You may forgivethemthey puttheir fingersintheir earsand covered themselves(with) their garmentsand persistedand were arrogant(with) pride
71:7
ثُمَّإِنِّىدَعَوْتُهُمْجِهَارًۭا
jihārandaʿawtuhuminnīthumma
Thenindeed, Iinvited thempublicly
71:8
ثُمَّإِنِّىٓأَعْلَنتُلَهُمْوَأَسْرَرْتُلَهُمْإِسْرَارًۭا
is'rāranlahumwa-asrartulahumaʿlantuinnīthumma
Thenindeed, Iannouncedto themand I confidedto themsecretly
71:9
فَقُلْتُٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟رَبَّكُمْإِنَّهُۥكَانَغَفَّارًۭا
ghaffārankānainnahurabbakumis'taghfirūfaqul'tu
Then I saidAsk forgiveness(from) your LordIndeed, HeisOft-Forgiving
71:10
يُرْسِلِٱلسَّمَآءَعَلَيْكُممِّدْرَارًۭا
mid'rāranʿalaykuml-samāayur'sili
He will send down(rain from) the skyupon you(in) abundance
71:11
وَيُمْدِدْكُمبِأَمْوَٰلٍۢوَبَنِينَوَيَجْعَللَّكُمْجَنَّـٰتٍۢوَيَجْعَللَّكُمْأَنْهَـٰرًۭا
anhāranlakumwayajʿaljannātinlakumwayajʿalwabanīnabi-amwālinwayum'did'kum
And provide youwith wealthand childrenand makefor yougardensand makefor yourivers
71:12
مَّالَكُمْلَاتَرْجُونَلِلَّهِوَقَارًۭا
waqāranlillahitarjūnalālakummā
What(is) for younotyou attributeto Allahgrandeur
71:13
وَقَدْخَلَقَكُمْأَطْوَارًا
aṭwārankhalaqakumwaqad
And indeedHe created you(in) stages
71:14
أَلَمْتَرَوْا۟كَيْفَخَلَقَٱللَّهُسَبْعَسَمَـٰوَٰتٍۢطِبَاقًۭا
ṭibāqansamāwātinsabʿal-lahukhalaqakayfatarawalam
Do notyou seehowdid createAllah(the) sevenheavens(in) layers
71:15
وَجَعَلَٱلْقَمَرَفِيهِنَّنُورًۭاوَجَعَلَٱلشَّمْسَسِرَاجًۭا
sirājanl-shamsawajaʿalanūranfīhinnal-qamarawajaʿala
And madethe moonthereina lightand madethe suna lamp
71:16
وَٱللَّهُأَنۢبَتَكُممِّنَٱلْأَرْضِنَبَاتًۭا
nabātanl-arḍiminaanbatakumwal-lahu
And Allahhas caused you to growfromthe earth(as) a growth
71:17
ثُمَّيُعِيدُكُمْفِيهَاوَيُخْرِجُكُمْإِخْرَاجًۭا
ikh'rājanwayukh'rijukumfīhāyuʿīdukumthumma
ThenHe will return youinto itand bring you forth(a new) bringing forth
71:18
وَٱللَّهُجَعَلَلَكُمُٱلْأَرْضَبِسَاطًۭا
bisāṭanl-arḍalakumujaʿalawal-lahu
And Allahmadefor youthe earthan expanse
71:19
لِّتَسْلُكُوا۟مِنْهَاسُبُلًۭافِجَاجًۭا
fijājansubulanmin'hālitaslukū
That you may go alongtherein(in) pathswide
71:20
قَالَنُوحٌۭرَّبِّإِنَّهُمْعَصَوْنِىوَٱتَّبَعُوا۟مَنلَّمْيَزِدْهُمَالُهُۥوَوَلَدُهُۥٓإِلَّاخَسَارًۭا
khasāranillāwawaladuhumāluhuyazid'hulammanwa-ittabaʿūʿaṣawnīinnahumrabbinūḥunqāla
SaidNuhMy LordIndeed, theydisobeyed meand followed(the one) who(did) notincrease himhis wealthand his childrenexcept(in) loss
71:21
وَمَكَرُوا۟مَكْرًۭاكُبَّارًۭا
kubbāranmakranwamakarū
And they have planneda plangreat
71:22
وَقَالُوا۟لَاتَذَرُنَّءَالِهَتَكُمْوَلَاتَذَرُنَّوَدًّۭاوَلَاسُوَاعًۭاوَلَايَغُوثَوَيَعُوقَوَنَسْرًۭا
wanasranwayaʿūqayaghūthawalāsuwāʿanwalāwaddantadharunnawalāālihatakumtadharunnalāwaqālū
And they said(Do) notleaveyour godsand (do) notleaveWaddand notSuwaand notYaguthand Yauqand Nasr
71:23
وَقَدْأَضَلُّوا۟كَثِيرًۭا ۖوَلَاتَزِدِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَإِلَّاضَلَـٰلًۭا
ḍalālanillāl-ẓālimīnatazidiwalākathīranaḍallūwaqad
And indeedthey have led astraymanyAnd notincreasethe wrongdoersexcept(in) error
71:24
مِّمَّاخَطِيٓـَٔـٰتِهِمْأُغْرِقُوا۟فَأُدْخِلُوا۟نَارًۭافَلَمْيَجِدُوا۟لَهُممِّندُونِٱللَّهِأَنصَارًۭا
anṣāranl-lahidūniminlahumyajidūfalamnāranfa-ud'khilūugh'riqūkhaṭīātihimmimmā
Because oftheir sinsthey were drownedthen made to enter(the) Fireand notthey foundfor themselvesfrombesidesAllahany helpers
71:25
وَقَالَنُوحٌۭرَّبِّلَاتَذَرْعَلَىٱلْأَرْضِمِنَٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَدَيَّارًا
dayyāranl-kāfirīnaminal-arḍiʿalātadharlārabbinūḥunwaqāla
And saidNuhMy Lord(Do) notleaveonthe earthany(of) the disbelievers(as) an inhabitant
71:26
إِنَّكَإِنتَذَرْهُمْيُضِلُّوا۟عِبَادَكَوَلَايَلِدُوٓا۟إِلَّافَاجِرًۭاكَفَّارًۭا
kaffāranfājiranillāyalidūwalāʿibādakayuḍillūtadharhumininnaka
Indeed, YouifYou leave themthey will misleadYour slavesand notthey will begetexcepta wickeda disbeliever
71:27
رَّبِّٱغْفِرْلِىوَلِوَٰلِدَىَّوَلِمَندَخَلَبَيْتِىَمُؤْمِنًۭاوَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَوَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِوَلَاتَزِدِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَإِلَّاتَبَارًۢا
tabāranillāl-ẓālimīnatazidiwalāwal-mu'minātiwalil'mu'minīnamu'minanbaytiyadakhalawalimanwaliwālidayyalīigh'firrabbi
My LordForgivemeand my parentsand whoeverentersmy house a believerand the believing menand the believing womenAnd (do) notincreasethe wrongdoersexcept(in) destruction
71:28
Basmala
قُلْأُوحِىَإِلَىَّأَنَّهُٱسْتَمَعَنَفَرٌۭمِّنَٱلْجِنِّفَقَالُوٓا۟إِنَّاسَمِعْنَاقُرْءَانًاعَجَبًۭا
ʿajabanqur'ānansamiʿ'nāinnāfaqālūl-jiniminanafarunis'tamaʿaannahuilayyaūḥiyaqul
SayIt has been revealedto methatlisteneda groupofthe jinnand they saidIndeed, wehearda Quranamazing
72:1
يَهْدِىٓإِلَىٱلرُّشْدِفَـَٔامَنَّابِهِۦ ۖوَلَننُّشْرِكَبِرَبِّنَآأَحَدًۭا
aḥadanbirabbinānush'rikawalanbihifaāmannāl-rush'diilāyahdī
It guidestothe right wayso we believein itand neverwe will associatewith our Lordanyone
72:2
وَأَنَّهُۥتَعَـٰلَىٰجَدُّرَبِّنَامَاٱتَّخَذَصَـٰحِبَةًۭوَلَاوَلَدًۭا
waladanwalāṣāḥibatanittakhadhamārabbinājaddutaʿālāwa-annahu
And that He Exalted is(the) Majesty(of) our Lord notHe has takena wifeand nota son
72:3
وَأَنَّهُۥكَانَيَقُولُسَفِيهُنَاعَلَىٱللَّهِشَطَطًۭا
shaṭaṭanl-lahiʿalāsafīhunāyaqūlukānawa-annahu
And that heused tospeak the foolish among usagainstAllahan excessive transgression
72:4
وَأَنَّاظَنَنَّآأَنلَّنتَقُولَٱلْإِنسُوَٱلْجِنُّعَلَىٱللَّهِكَذِبًۭا
kadhibanl-lahiʿalāwal-jinul-insutaqūlalananẓanannāwa-annā
And that wethoughtthatneverwill saythe menand the jinnagainstAllahany lie
72:5
وَأَنَّهُۥكَانَرِجَالٌۭمِّنَٱلْإِنسِيَعُوذُونَبِرِجَالٍۢمِّنَٱلْجِنِّفَزَادُوهُمْرَهَقًۭا
rahaqanfazādūhuml-jiniminabirijālinyaʿūdhūnal-insiminarijālunkānawa-annahu
And that(there) weremenamongmankindwho sought refugein (the) menfromthe jinnso they increased them(in) burden
72:6
وَأَنَّهُمْظَنُّوا۟كَمَاظَنَنتُمْأَنلَّنيَبْعَثَٱللَّهُأَحَدًۭا
aḥadanl-lahuyabʿathalananẓanantumkamāẓannūwa-annahum
And that theythoughtasyou thoughtthatneverwill raiseAllahanyone
72:7
وَأَنَّالَمَسْنَاٱلسَّمَآءَفَوَجَدْنَـٰهَامُلِئَتْحَرَسًۭاشَدِيدًۭاوَشُهُبًۭا
washuhubanshadīdanḥarasanmuli-atfawajadnāhāl-samāalamasnāwa-annā
And that wesought to touchthe heavenbut we found itfilled (with)guardssevereand flaming fires
72:8
وَأَنَّاكُنَّانَقْعُدُمِنْهَامَقَـٰعِدَلِلسَّمْعِ ۖفَمَنيَسْتَمِعِٱلْـَٔانَيَجِدْلَهُۥشِهَابًۭارَّصَدًۭا
raṣadanshihābanlahuyajidl-ānayastamiʿifamanlilssamʿimaqāʿidamin'hānaqʿudukunnāwa-annā
And that weused tositthere inpositionsfor hearingbut (he) wholistensnowwill findfor hima flaming firewaiting
72:9
وَأَنَّالَانَدْرِىٓأَشَرٌّأُرِيدَبِمَنفِىٱلْأَرْضِأَمْأَرَادَبِهِمْرَبُّهُمْرَشَدًۭا
rashadanrabbuhumbihimarādaaml-arḍifībimanurīdaasharrunnadrīlāwa-annā
And that we notwe knowwhether evilis intendedfor (those) who(are) inthe earthorintendsfor themtheir Lorda right path
72:10
وَأَنَّامِنَّاٱلصَّـٰلِحُونَوَمِنَّادُونَذَٰلِكَ ۖكُنَّاطَرَآئِقَقِدَدًۭا
qidadanṭarāiqakunnādhālikadūnawaminnāl-ṣāliḥūnaminnāwa-annā
And that [we]among us(are) the righteousand among us(are) other thanthatWe(are on) waysdifferent
72:11
وَأَنَّاظَنَنَّآأَنلَّننُّعْجِزَٱللَّهَفِىٱلْأَرْضِوَلَننُّعْجِزَهُۥهَرَبًۭا
harabannuʿ'jizahuwalanl-arḍifīl-lahanuʿ'jizalananẓanannāwa-annā
And that we[we] have become certainthatneverwe will cause failure(to) Allahinthe earthand neverwe can escape Him(by) flight
72:12
وَأَنَّالَمَّاسَمِعْنَاٱلْهُدَىٰٓءَامَنَّابِهِۦ ۖفَمَنيُؤْمِنۢبِرَبِّهِۦفَلَايَخَافُبَخْسًۭاوَلَارَهَقًۭا
rahaqanwalābakhsanyakhāfufalābirabbihiyu'minfamanbihiāmannāl-hudāsamiʿ'nālammāwa-annā
And that [we]whenwe heardthe Guidancewe believedin itAnd whoeverbelievesin his Lordthen nothe will fearany lossand notany burden
72:13
وَأَنَّامِنَّاٱلْمُسْلِمُونَوَمِنَّاٱلْقَـٰسِطُونَ ۖفَمَنْأَسْلَمَفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَتَحَرَّوْا۟رَشَدًۭا
rashadantaḥarrawfa-ulāikaaslamafamanl-qāsiṭūnawaminnāl-mus'limūnaminnāwa-annā
And that weamong us(are) Muslimsand among us(are) unjustAnd whoeversubmitsthen thosehave sought(the) right path
72:14
وَأَمَّاٱلْقَـٰسِطُونَفَكَانُوا۟لِجَهَنَّمَحَطَبًۭا
ḥaṭabanlijahannamafakānūl-qāsiṭūnawa-ammā
And as forthe unjustthey will befor Hellfirewood
72:15
وَأَلَّوِٱسْتَقَـٰمُوا۟عَلَىٱلطَّرِيقَةِلَأَسْقَيْنَـٰهُممَّآءًغَدَقًۭا
ghadaqanmāanla-asqaynāhuml-ṭarīqatiʿalāis'taqāmūwa-allawi
And that ifthey had remainedonthe Waysurely We (would) have given them to drinkwater(in) abundance
72:16
لِّنَفْتِنَهُمْفِيهِ ۚوَمَنيُعْرِضْعَنذِكْرِرَبِّهِۦيَسْلُكْهُعَذَابًۭاصَعَدًۭا
ṣaʿadanʿadhābanyasluk'hurabbihidhik'riʿanyuʿ'riḍwamanfīhilinaftinahum
That We might test themthereinAnd whoeverturns awayfromthe Remembrance(of) his LordHe will make him entera punishmentsevere
72:17
وَأَنَّٱلْمَسَـٰجِدَلِلَّهِفَلَاتَدْعُوا۟مَعَٱللَّهِأَحَدًۭا
aḥadanl-lahimaʿatadʿūfalālillahil-masājidawa-anna
And thatthe masjids(are) for Allahso (do) notcallwithAllahanyone
72:18
وَأَنَّهُۥلَمَّاقَامَعَبْدُٱللَّهِيَدْعُوهُكَادُوا۟يَكُونُونَعَلَيْهِلِبَدًۭا
libadanʿalayhiyakūnūnakādūyadʿūhul-lahiʿabduqāmalammāwa-annahu
And thatwhenstood up(the) slave(of) Allahcalling (upon) Himthey almostbecamearound hima compacted mass
72:19
قُلْإِنَّمَآأَدْعُوا۟رَبِّىوَلَآأُشْرِكُبِهِۦٓأَحَدًۭا
aḥadanbihiush'rikuwalārabbīadʿūinnamāqul
SayOnlyI call uponmy Lordand notI associatewith Himanyone
72:20
قُلْإِنِّىلَآأَمْلِكُلَكُمْضَرًّۭاوَلَارَشَدًۭا
rashadanwalāḍarranlakumamlikulāinnīqul
SayIndeed, I(do) notpossessfor youany harmand notright path
72:21
قُلْإِنِّىلَنيُجِيرَنِىمِنَٱللَّهِأَحَدٌۭوَلَنْأَجِدَمِندُونِهِۦمُلْتَحَدًا
mul'taḥadandūnihiminajidawalanaḥadunl-lahiminayujīranīlaninnīqul
SayIndeed Inevercan protect mefromAllahanyoneand nevercan I findfrombesides Himany refuge
72:22
إِلَّابَلَـٰغًۭامِّنَٱللَّهِوَرِسَـٰلَـٰتِهِۦ ۚوَمَنيَعْصِٱللَّهَوَرَسُولَهُۥفَإِنَّلَهُۥنَارَجَهَنَّمَخَـٰلِدِينَفِيهَآأَبَدًا
abadanfīhākhālidīnajahannamanāralahufa-innawarasūlahul-lahayaʿṣiwamanwarisālātihil-lahiminabalāghanillā
But(the) notificationfromAllahand His MessagesAnd whoeverdisobeysAllahand His Messengerthen indeedfor him(is the) Fire(of) Hell(they will) abidethereinforever
72:23
حَتَّىٰٓإِذَارَأَوْا۟مَايُوعَدُونَفَسَيَعْلَمُونَمَنْأَضْعَفُنَاصِرًۭاوَأَقَلُّعَدَدًۭا
ʿadadanwa-aqallunāṣiranaḍʿafumanfasayaʿlamūnayūʿadūnamāra-awidhāḥattā
Untilwhenthey seewhatthey are promisedthen they will knowwho(is) weaker(in) helpersand fewer(in) number
72:24
قُلْإِنْأَدْرِىٓأَقَرِيبٌۭمَّاتُوعَدُونَأَمْيَجْعَلُلَهُۥرَبِّىٓأَمَدًا
amadanrabbīlahuyajʿaluamtūʿadūnamāaqarībunadrīinqul
SayNotI knowwhether is nearwhatyou are promisedor (whether)will appointfor itmy Lorda (distant) term
72:25
عَـٰلِمُٱلْغَيْبِفَلَايُظْهِرُعَلَىٰغَيْبِهِۦٓأَحَدًا
aḥadanghaybihiʿalāyuẓ'hirufalāl-ghaybiʿālimu
(The) All-Knower(of) the unseenso notHe revealsfromHis unseen(to) anyone
72:26
إِلَّامَنِٱرْتَضَىٰمِنرَّسُولٍۢفَإِنَّهُۥيَسْلُكُمِنۢبَيْنِيَدَيْهِوَمِنْخَلْفِهِۦرَصَدًۭا
raṣadankhalfihiwaminyadayhibayniminyaslukufa-innahurasūlinminir'taḍāmaniillā
ExceptwhomHe has approvedofa Messengerand indeed, Hemakes to marchfrombeforehimand frombehind hima guard
72:27
لِّيَعْلَمَأَنقَدْأَبْلَغُوا۟رِسَـٰلَـٰتِرَبِّهِمْوَأَحَاطَبِمَالَدَيْهِمْوَأَحْصَىٰكُلَّشَىْءٍعَدَدًۢا
ʿadadanshayinkullawa-aḥṣāladayhimbimāwa-aḥāṭarabbihimrisālātiablaghūqadanliyaʿlama
That He may make evidentthatindeedthey have conveyed(the) Messages(of) their Lordand He has encompassedwhat(is) with themand He takes account(of) allthings(in) number
72:28
Basmala
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلْمُزَّمِّلُ
l-muzamiluyāayyuhā
O youwho wraps himself
73:1
قُمِٱلَّيْلَإِلَّاقَلِيلًۭا
qalīlanillāal-laylaqumi
Stand(in) the nightexcepta little
73:2
نِّصْفَهُۥٓأَوِٱنقُصْمِنْهُقَلِيلًا
qalīlanmin'huunquṣawiniṣ'fahu
Half of itorlessenfrom ita little
73:3
أَوْزِدْعَلَيْهِوَرَتِّلِٱلْقُرْءَانَتَرْتِيلًا
tartīlanl-qur'ānawarattiliʿalayhizidaw
Oraddto itand recitethe Quran(with) measured rhythmic recitation
73:4
إِنَّاسَنُلْقِىعَلَيْكَقَوْلًۭاثَقِيلًا
thaqīlanqawlanʿalaykasanul'qīinnā
Indeed, Wewill castupon youa Wordheavy
73:5
إِنَّنَاشِئَةَٱلَّيْلِهِىَأَشَدُّوَطْـًۭٔاوَأَقْوَمُقِيلًا
qīlanwa-aqwamuwaṭanashadduhiyaal-laylināshi-atainna
Indeed(the) rising(at) the nightit(is) very hardand most potentand more suitable(for) Word
73:6
إِنَّلَكَفِىٱلنَّهَارِسَبْحًۭاطَوِيلًۭا
ṭawīlansabḥanl-nahārifīlakainna
Indeedfor youinthe day(is) occupationprolonged
73:7
وَٱذْكُرِٱسْمَرَبِّكَوَتَبَتَّلْإِلَيْهِتَبْتِيلًۭا
tabtīlanilayhiwatabattalrabbikais'mawa-udh'kuri
And remember(the) name(of) your Lordand devote yourselfto Him(with) devotion
73:8
رَّبُّٱلْمَشْرِقِوَٱلْمَغْرِبِلَآإِلَـٰهَإِلَّاهُوَفَٱتَّخِذْهُوَكِيلًۭا
wakīlanfa-ittakhidh'huhuwaillāilāhalāwal-maghribil-mashriqirabbu
(The) Lord(of) the eastand the west(there is) nogodexceptHimso take Him(as) Disposer of Affairs
73:9
وَٱصْبِرْعَلَىٰمَايَقُولُونَوَٱهْجُرْهُمْهَجْرًۭاجَمِيلًۭا
jamīlanhajranwa-uh'jur'humyaqūlūnamāʿalāwa-iṣ'bir
And be patientoverwhatthey sayand avoid theman avoidancegracious
73:10
وَذَرْنِىوَٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَأُو۟لِىٱلنَّعْمَةِوَمَهِّلْهُمْقَلِيلًا
qalīlanwamahhil'huml-naʿmatiulīwal-mukadhibīnawadharnī
And leave Meand the denierspossessors(of) the easeand allow them respite a little
73:11
إِنَّلَدَيْنَآأَنكَالًۭاوَجَحِيمًۭا
wajaḥīmanankālanladaynāinna
Indeedwith Us(are) shacklesand burning fire
73:12
وَطَعَامًۭاذَاغُصَّةٍۢوَعَذَابًاأَلِيمًۭا
alīmanwaʿadhābanghuṣṣatindhāwaṭaʿāman
And foodthatchokesand a punishmentpainful
73:13
يَوْمَتَرْجُفُٱلْأَرْضُوَٱلْجِبَالُوَكَانَتِٱلْجِبَالُكَثِيبًۭامَّهِيلًا
mahīlankathībanl-jibāluwakānatiwal-jibālul-arḍutarjufuyawma
(On the) Daywill quakethe earthand the mountainsand will becomethe mountainsa heap of sandpouring down
73:14
إِنَّآأَرْسَلْنَآإِلَيْكُمْرَسُولًۭاشَـٰهِدًاعَلَيْكُمْكَمَآأَرْسَلْنَآإِلَىٰفِرْعَوْنَرَسُولًۭا
rasūlanfir'ʿawnailāarsalnākamāʿalaykumshāhidanrasūlanilaykumarsalnāinnā
Indeed, We[We] have sentto youa Messenger(as) a witnessupon youasWe senttoFirauna Messenger
73:15
فَعَصَىٰفِرْعَوْنُٱلرَّسُولَفَأَخَذْنَـٰهُأَخْذًۭاوَبِيلًۭا
wabīlanakhdhanfa-akhadhnāhul-rasūlafir'ʿawnufaʿaṣā
But disobeyedFiraunthe Messengerso We seized him(with) a seizureruinous
73:16
فَكَيْفَتَتَّقُونَإِنكَفَرْتُمْيَوْمًۭايَجْعَلُٱلْوِلْدَٰنَشِيبًا
shībanl-wil'dānayajʿaluyawmankafartumintattaqūnafakayfa
Then howwill you guard yourselvesifyou disbelievea Day(that) will makethe childrengray-haired
73:17
ٱلسَّمَآءُمُنفَطِرٌۢبِهِۦ ۚكَانَوَعْدُهُۥمَفْعُولًا
mafʿūlanwaʿduhukānabihimunfaṭirunal-samāu
The heaven(will) break aparttherefromisHis Promiseto be fulfilled
73:18
إِنَّهَـٰذِهِۦتَذْكِرَةٌۭ ۖفَمَنشَآءَٱتَّخَذَإِلَىٰرَبِّهِۦسَبِيلًا
sabīlanrabbihiilāittakhadhashāafamantadhkiratunhādhihiinna
Indeedthis(is) a Reminderthen whoeverwills(let him) taketohis Lorda way
73:19
۞ إِنَّرَبَّكَيَعْلَمُأَنَّكَتَقُومُأَدْنَىٰمِنثُلُثَىِٱلَّيْلِوَنِصْفَهُۥوَثُلُثَهُۥوَطَآئِفَةٌۭمِّنَٱلَّذِينَمَعَكَ ۚوَٱللَّهُيُقَدِّرُٱلَّيْلَوَٱلنَّهَارَ ۚعَلِمَأَنلَّنتُحْصُوهُفَتَابَعَلَيْكُمْ ۖفَٱقْرَءُوا۟مَاتَيَسَّرَمِنَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ۚعَلِمَأَنسَيَكُونُمِنكُممَّرْضَىٰ ۙوَءَاخَرُونَيَضْرِبُونَفِىٱلْأَرْضِيَبْتَغُونَمِنفَضْلِٱللَّهِ ۙوَءَاخَرُونَيُقَـٰتِلُونَفِىسَبِيلِٱللَّهِ ۖفَٱقْرَءُوا۟مَاتَيَسَّرَمِنْهُ ۚوَأَقِيمُوا۟ٱلصَّلَوٰةَوَءَاتُوا۟ٱلزَّكَوٰةَوَأَقْرِضُوا۟ٱللَّهَقَرْضًاحَسَنًۭا ۚوَمَاتُقَدِّمُوا۟لِأَنفُسِكُممِّنْخَيْرٍۢتَجِدُوهُعِندَٱللَّهِهُوَخَيْرًۭاوَأَعْظَمَأَجْرًۭا ۚوَٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ٱللَّهَ ۖإِنَّٱللَّهَغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۢ
raḥīmunghafūrunl-lahainnal-lahawa-is'taghfirūajranwa-aʿẓamakhayranhuwal-lahiʿindatajidūhukhayrinminli-anfusikumtuqaddimūwamāḥasananqarḍanl-lahawa-aqriḍūl-zakatawaātūl-ṣalatawa-aqīmūmin'hutayassaramāfa-iq'raūl-lahisabīlifīyuqātilūnawaākharūnal-lahifaḍliminyabtaghūnal-arḍifīyaḍribūnawaākharūnamarḍāminkumsayakūnuanʿalimal-qur'āniminatayassaramāfa-iq'raūʿalaykumfatābatuḥ'ṣūhulananʿalimawal-nahāraal-laylayuqaddiruwal-lahumaʿakaalladhīnaminawaṭāifatunwathuluthahuwaniṣ'fahual-laylithuluthayiminadnātaqūmuannakayaʿlamurabbakainna
Indeedyour Lordknowsthat youstand(a little) lessthantwo-thirds(of) the nightand half of itand a third of itand (so do) a groupofthose who(are) with youAnd Allahdeterminesthe nightand the dayHe knowsthatnotyou count itso He has turnedto youso recitewhatis easyofthe QuranHe knowsthatthere will beamong yousickand otherstravelinginthe landseekingof(the) Bounty(of) Allahand othersfightingin(the) way(of) AllahSo recitewhatis easyof itand establishthe prayerand givethe zakahand loanAllaha loangoodlyAnd whateveryou send forthfor yourselvesofgoodyou will find itwithAllahIt(will be) betterand greater(in) rewardAnd seek forgiveness(of) AllahIndeedAllah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
73:20
Basmala
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلْمُدَّثِّرُ
l-mudathiruyāayyuhā
O youwho covers himself
74:1
قُمْفَأَنذِرْ
fa-andhirqum
Stand upand warn
74:2
وَرَبَّكَفَكَبِّرْ
fakabbirwarabbaka
And your Lordmagnify
74:3
وَثِيَابَكَفَطَهِّرْ
faṭahhirwathiyābaka
And your clothingpurify
74:4
وَٱلرُّجْزَفَٱهْجُرْ
fa-uh'jurwal-ruj'za
And uncleanlinessavoid
74:5
وَلَاتَمْنُنتَسْتَكْثِرُ
tastakthirutamnunwalā
And (do) notconfer favor(to) acquire more
74:6
وَلِرَبِّكَفَٱصْبِرْ
fa-iṣ'birwalirabbika
And for your Lordbe patient
74:7
فَإِذَانُقِرَفِىٱلنَّاقُورِ
l-nāqūrifīnuqirafa-idhā
Then whenis blowninthe trumpet
74:8
فَذَٰلِكَيَوْمَئِذٍۢيَوْمٌعَسِيرٌ
ʿasīrunyawmunyawma-idhinfadhālika
ThatDay(will be) a Daydifficult
74:9
عَلَىٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَغَيْرُيَسِيرٍۢ
yasīringhayrul-kāfirīnaʿalā
Forthe disbelievers noteasy
74:10
ذَرْنِىوَمَنْخَلَقْتُوَحِيدًۭا
waḥīdankhalaqtuwamandharnī
Leave Meand whomI createdalone
74:11
وَجَعَلْتُلَهُۥمَالًۭامَّمْدُودًۭا
mamdūdanmālanlahuwajaʿaltu
And I grantedto himwealthextensive
74:12
وَبَنِينَشُهُودًۭا
shuhūdanwabanīna
And childrenpresent
74:13
وَمَهَّدتُّلَهُۥتَمْهِيدًۭا
tamhīdanlahuwamahhadttu
And I spreadfor himease
74:14
ثُمَّيَطْمَعُأَنْأَزِيدَ
azīdaanyaṭmaʿuthumma
Thenhe desiresthatI (should) add more
74:15
كَلَّآ ۖإِنَّهُۥكَانَلِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاعَنِيدًۭا
ʿanīdanliāyātinākānainnahukallā
By no meansIndeed, hehas beento Our Versesstubborn
74:16
سَأُرْهِقُهُۥصَعُودًا
ṣaʿūdansa-ur'hiquhu
Soon I will cover Him(with) a laborious punishment
74:17
إِنَّهُۥفَكَّرَوَقَدَّرَ
waqaddarafakkarainnahu
Indeed, hethoughtand plotted
74:18
فَقُتِلَكَيْفَقَدَّرَ
qaddarakayfafaqutila
So may he be destroyedhowhe plotted
74:19
ثُمَّقُتِلَكَيْفَقَدَّرَ
qaddarakayfaqutilathumma
Thenmay he be destroyedhowhe plotted
74:20
ثُمَّنَظَرَ
naẓarathumma
Thenhe looked
74:21
ثُمَّعَبَسَوَبَسَرَ
wabasaraʿabasathumma
Thenhe frownedand scowled
74:22
ثُمَّأَدْبَرَوَٱسْتَكْبَرَ
wa-is'takbaraadbarathumma
Thenhe turned backand was proud
74:23
فَقَالَإِنْهَـٰذَآإِلَّاسِحْرٌۭيُؤْثَرُ
yu'tharusiḥ'runillāhādhāinfaqāla
Then he saidNot(is) thisbutmagicimitated
74:24
إِنْهَـٰذَآإِلَّاقَوْلُٱلْبَشَرِ
l-bashariqawluillāhādhāin
Not(is) thisbut(the) word(of) a human being
74:25
سَأُصْلِيهِسَقَرَ
saqarasa-uṣ'līhi
Soon I will drive him(into) Hell
74:26
وَمَآأَدْرَىٰكَمَاسَقَرُ
saqarumāadrākawamā
And whatcan make you knowwhat(is) Hell
74:27
لَاتُبْقِىوَلَاتَذَرُ
tadharuwalātub'qīlā
Notit lets remainand notit leaves
74:28
لَوَّاحَةٌۭلِّلْبَشَرِ
lil'basharilawwāḥatun
Scorchingthe human (skin)
74:29
عَلَيْهَاتِسْعَةَعَشَرَ
ʿasharatis'ʿataʿalayhā
Over it(are) nineteen
74:30
وَمَاجَعَلْنَآأَصْحَـٰبَٱلنَّارِإِلَّامَلَـٰٓئِكَةًۭ ۙوَمَاجَعَلْنَاعِدَّتَهُمْإِلَّافِتْنَةًۭلِّلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟لِيَسْتَيْقِنَٱلَّذِينَأُوتُوا۟ٱلْكِتَـٰبَوَيَزْدَادَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوٓا۟إِيمَـٰنًۭا ۙوَلَايَرْتَابَٱلَّذِينَأُوتُوا۟ٱلْكِتَـٰبَوَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۙوَلِيَقُولَٱلَّذِينَفِىقُلُوبِهِممَّرَضٌۭوَٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَمَاذَآأَرَادَٱللَّهُبِهَـٰذَامَثَلًۭا ۚكَذَٰلِكَيُضِلُّٱللَّهُمَنيَشَآءُوَيَهْدِىمَنيَشَآءُ ۚوَمَايَعْلَمُجُنُودَرَبِّكَإِلَّاهُوَ ۚوَمَاهِىَإِلَّاذِكْرَىٰلِلْبَشَرِ
lil'basharidhik'rāillāhiyawamāhuwaillārabbikajunūdayaʿlamuwamāyashāumanwayahdīyashāumanl-lahuyuḍillukadhālikamathalanbihādhāl-lahuarādamādhāwal-kāfirūnamaraḍunqulūbihimfīalladhīnawaliyaqūlawal-mu'minūnal-kitābaūtūalladhīnayartābawalāīmānanāmanūalladhīnawayazdādal-kitābaūtūalladhīnaliyastayqinakafarūlilladhīnafit'natanillāʿiddatahumjaʿalnāwamāmalāikatanillāl-nāriaṣḥābajaʿalnāwamā
And notWe have madekeepers(of) the FireexceptAngelsAnd notWe have madetheir numberexcept(as) a trialfor those whodisbelieve that may be certainthose whowere giventhe Scriptureand may increasethose whobelieve(in) faithand notmay doubtthose whowere giventhe Scriptureand the believersand that may saythoseintheir hearts(is) a diseaseand the disbelieversWhat(does) intendAllahby thisexampleThusdoes let go astrayAllahwhomHe willsand guideswhomHe willsAnd noneknows(the) hosts(of) your LordexceptHimAnd notit(is) buta reminderto (the) human beings
74:31
كَلَّاوَٱلْقَمَرِ
wal-qamarikallā
NayBy the moon
74:32
وَٱلَّيْلِإِذْأَدْبَرَ
adbaraidhwa-al-layli
And the nightwhenit departs
74:33
وَٱلصُّبْحِإِذَآأَسْفَرَ
asfaraidhāwal-ṣub'ḥi
And the morningwhenit brightens
74:34
إِنَّهَالَإِحْدَىٱلْكُبَرِ
l-kubarila-iḥ'dāinnahā
Indeed, it(is) surely one(of) the greatest
74:35
نَذِيرًۭالِّلْبَشَرِ
lil'basharinadhīran
A warningto (the) human being
74:36
لِمَنشَآءَمِنكُمْأَنيَتَقَدَّمَأَوْيَتَأَخَّرَ
yata-akharaawyataqaddamaanminkumshāaliman
To whoeverwillsamong youtoproceedorstay behind
74:37
كُلُّنَفْسٍۭبِمَاكَسَبَتْرَهِينَةٌ
rahīnatunkasabatbimānafsinkullu
Everysoulfor whatit has earned(is) pledged
74:38
إِلَّآأَصْحَـٰبَٱلْيَمِينِ
l-yamīniaṣḥābaillā
Except(the) companions(of) the right
74:39
فِىجَنَّـٰتٍۢيَتَسَآءَلُونَ
yatasāalūnajannātinfī
InGardensasking each other
74:40
عَنِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
l-muj'rimīnaʿani
Aboutthe criminals
74:41
مَاسَلَكَكُمْفِىسَقَرَ
saqarafīsalakakummā
Whatled youintoHell
74:42
قَالُوا۟لَمْنَكُمِنَٱلْمُصَلِّينَ
l-muṣalīnaminanakulamqālū
They will sayNotwe wereofthose who prayed
74:43
وَلَمْنَكُنُطْعِمُٱلْمِسْكِينَ
l-mis'kīnanuṭ'ʿimunakuwalam
And notwe used tofeedthe poor
74:44
وَكُنَّانَخُوضُمَعَٱلْخَآئِضِينَ
l-khāiḍīnamaʿanakhūḍuwakunnā
And we used toindulge in vain talkwiththe vain talkers
74:45
وَكُنَّانُكَذِّبُبِيَوْمِٱلدِّينِ
l-dīnibiyawminukadhibuwakunnā
And we used todeny(the) Day(of) the Judgment
74:46
حَتَّىٰٓأَتَىٰنَاٱلْيَقِينُ
l-yaqīnuatānāḥattā
Untilcame to usthe certainty
74:47
فَمَاتَنفَعُهُمْشَفَـٰعَةُٱلشَّـٰفِعِينَ
l-shāfiʿīnashafāʿatutanfaʿuhumfamā
Then notwill benefit themintercession(of) the intercessors
74:48
فَمَالَهُمْعَنِٱلتَّذْكِرَةِمُعْرِضِينَ
muʿ'riḍīnal-tadhkiratiʿanilahumfamā
Then what(is) for them(that) fromthe Reminderthey (are) turning away
74:49
كَأَنَّهُمْحُمُرٌۭمُّسْتَنفِرَةٌۭ
mus'tanfiratunḥumurunka-annahum
As if they (were)donkeysfrightened
74:50
فَرَّتْمِنقَسْوَرَةٍۭ
qaswaratinminfarrat
Fleeingfroma lion
74:51
بَلْيُرِيدُكُلُّٱمْرِئٍۢمِّنْهُمْأَنيُؤْتَىٰصُحُفًۭامُّنَشَّرَةًۭ
munasharatanṣuḥufanyu'tāanmin'humim'ri-inkulluyurīdubal
NayDesireseverypersonof themthathe may be givenpagesspread out
74:52
كَلَّا ۖبَللَّايَخَافُونَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ
l-ākhiratayakhāfūnalābalkallā
NayButnotthey fearthe Hereafter
74:53
كَلَّآإِنَّهُۥتَذْكِرَةٌۭ
tadhkiratuninnahukallā
NayIndeed, it(is) a Reminder
74:54
فَمَنشَآءَذَكَرَهُۥ
dhakarahushāafaman
So whoeverwills(may) pay heed to it
74:55
وَمَايَذْكُرُونَإِلَّآأَنيَشَآءَٱللَّهُ ۚهُوَأَهْلُٱلتَّقْوَىٰوَأَهْلُٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ
l-maghfiratiwa-ahlul-taqwāahluhuwal-lahuyashāaanillāyadhkurūnawamā
And notwill pay heedexceptthatwillsAllahHe(is) worthyto be fearedand worthyto forgive
74:56
Basmala
لَآأُقْسِمُبِيَوْمِٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ
l-qiyāmatibiyawmiuq'simulā
NayI swearby (the) Day(of) the Resurrection
75:1
وَلَآأُقْسِمُبِٱلنَّفْسِٱللَّوَّامَةِ
l-lawāmatibil-nafsiuq'simuwalā
And nayI swearby the soulself-accusing
75:2
أَيَحْسَبُٱلْإِنسَـٰنُأَلَّننَّجْمَعَعِظَامَهُۥ
ʿiẓāmahunajmaʿaallanl-insānuayaḥsabu
Does think[the] manthat notWe will assemblehis bones
75:3
بَلَىٰقَـٰدِرِينَعَلَىٰٓأَننُّسَوِّىَبَنَانَهُۥ
banānahunusawwiyaanʿalāqādirīnabalā
Nay(We are) AbleonthatWe can restorehis fingertips
75:4
بَلْيُرِيدُٱلْإِنسَـٰنُلِيَفْجُرَأَمَامَهُۥ
amāmahuliyafjural-insānuyurīdubal
NayDesires[the] manto give (the) lie(to) what is before him
75:5
يَسْـَٔلُأَيَّانَيَوْمُٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ
l-qiyāmatiyawmuayyānayasalu
He asksWhen(is the) Day(of) the Resurrection
75:6
فَإِذَابَرِقَٱلْبَصَرُ
l-baṣarubariqafa-idhā
So whenis dazzledthe vision
75:7
وَخَسَفَٱلْقَمَرُ
l-qamaruwakhasafa
And becomes darkthe moon
75:8
وَجُمِعَٱلشَّمْسُوَٱلْقَمَرُ
wal-qamarul-shamsuwajumiʿa
And are joinedthe sunand the moon
75:9
يَقُولُٱلْإِنسَـٰنُيَوْمَئِذٍأَيْنَٱلْمَفَرُّ
l-mafaruaynayawma-idhinl-insānuyaqūlu
Will say[the] manthat DayWhere(is) the escape
75:10
كَلَّالَاوَزَرَ
wazaralākallā
By no means(There is) norefuge
75:11
إِلَىٰرَبِّكَيَوْمَئِذٍٱلْمُسْتَقَرُّ
l-mus'taqaruyawma-idhinrabbikailā
Toyour Lordthat Day(is) the place of rest
75:12
يُنَبَّؤُا۟ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُيَوْمَئِذٍۭبِمَاقَدَّمَوَأَخَّرَ
wa-akharaqaddamabimāyawma-idhinl-insānuyunabba-u
Will be informed[the] manthat Dayof whathe sent forthand kept back
75:13
بَلِٱلْإِنسَـٰنُعَلَىٰنَفْسِهِۦبَصِيرَةٌۭ
baṣīratunnafsihiʿalāl-insānubali
Nay[The] managainsthimself(will be) a witness
75:14
وَلَوْأَلْقَىٰمَعَاذِيرَهُۥ
maʿādhīrahualqāwalaw
Even ifhe presentshis excuses
75:15
لَاتُحَرِّكْبِهِۦلِسَانَكَلِتَعْجَلَبِهِۦٓ
bihilitaʿjalalisānakabihituḥarriklā
Notmovewith ityour tongueto hastenwith it
75:16
إِنَّعَلَيْنَاجَمْعَهُۥوَقُرْءَانَهُۥ
waqur'ānahujamʿahuʿalaynāinna
Indeedupon Us(is) its collectionand its recitation
75:17
فَإِذَاقَرَأْنَـٰهُفَٱتَّبِعْقُرْءَانَهُۥ
qur'ānahufa-ittabiʿqaranāhufa-idhā
And whenWe have recited itthen followits recitation
75:18
ثُمَّإِنَّعَلَيْنَابَيَانَهُۥ
bayānahuʿalaynāinnathumma
Thenindeedupon Us(is) its explanation
75:19
كَلَّابَلْتُحِبُّونَٱلْعَاجِلَةَ
l-ʿājilatatuḥibbūnabalkallā
NoButyou lovethe immediate
75:20
وَتَذَرُونَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ
l-ākhiratawatadharūna
And leavethe Hereafter
75:21
وُجُوهٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍۢنَّاضِرَةٌ
nāḍiratunyawma-idhinwujūhun
Facesthat Day(will be) radiant
75:22
إِلَىٰرَبِّهَانَاظِرَةٌۭ
nāẓiratunrabbihāilā
Towardstheir Lordlooking
75:23
وَوُجُوهٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍۭبَاسِرَةٌۭ
bāsiratunyawma-idhinwawujūhun
And facesthat Day(will be) distorted
75:24
تَظُنُّأَنيُفْعَلَبِهَافَاقِرَةٌۭ
fāqiratunbihāyuf'ʿalaantaẓunnu
Thinkingthatwill be doneto thembackbreaking
75:25
كَلَّآإِذَابَلَغَتِٱلتَّرَاقِىَ
l-tarāqiyabalaghatiidhākallā
NoWhenit reachesthe collar bones
75:26
وَقِيلَمَنْ ۜرَاقٍۢ
rāqinmanwaqīla
And it is saidWho(will) cure
75:27
وَظَنَّأَنَّهُٱلْفِرَاقُ
l-firāquannahuwaẓanna
And he is certainthat it(is) the parting
75:28
وَٱلْتَفَّتِٱلسَّاقُبِٱلسَّاقِ
bil-sāqil-sāquwal-tafati
And is woundthe legabout the leg
75:29
إِلَىٰرَبِّكَيَوْمَئِذٍٱلْمَسَاقُ
l-masāquyawma-idhinrabbikailā
Toyour Lordthat Day(will be) the driving
75:30
فَلَاصَدَّقَوَلَاصَلَّىٰ
ṣallāwalāṣaddaqafalā
And nothe accepted (the) truthand nothe prayed
75:31
وَلَـٰكِنكَذَّبَوَتَوَلَّىٰ
watawallākadhabawalākin
Buthe deniedand turned away
75:32
ثُمَّذَهَبَإِلَىٰٓأَهْلِهِۦيَتَمَطَّىٰٓ
yatamaṭṭāahlihiilādhahabathumma
Thenhe wenttohis familyswaggering
75:33
أَوْلَىٰلَكَفَأَوْلَىٰ
fa-awlālakaawlā
Woeto youand woe
75:34
ثُمَّأَوْلَىٰلَكَفَأَوْلَىٰٓ
fa-awlālakaawlāthumma
Thenwoeto youand woe
75:35
أَيَحْسَبُٱلْإِنسَـٰنُأَنيُتْرَكَسُدًى
sudanyut'rakaanl-insānuayaḥsabu
Does thinkmanthathe will be leftneglected
75:36
أَلَمْيَكُنُطْفَةًۭمِّنمَّنِىٍّۢيُمْنَىٰ
yum'nāmaniyyinminnuṭ'fatanyakualam
Was nothea semen-dropofsemenemitted
75:37
ثُمَّكَانَعَلَقَةًۭفَخَلَقَفَسَوَّىٰ
fasawwāfakhalaqaʿalaqatankānathumma
Thenhe wasa clinging substancethen He createdand proportioned
75:38
فَجَعَلَمِنْهُٱلزَّوْجَيْنِٱلذَّكَرَوَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ
wal-unthāl-dhakaral-zawjaynimin'hufajaʿala
Then madeof himtwo kinds(the) maleand the female
75:39
أَلَيْسَذَٰلِكَبِقَـٰدِرٍعَلَىٰٓأَنيُحْـِۧىَٱلْمَوْتَىٰ
l-mawtāyuḥ'yiyaanʿalābiqādirindhālikaalaysa
Is not[that](He) Able[over]togive life(to) the dead
75:40
Basmala
هَلْأَتَىٰعَلَىٱلْإِنسَـٰنِحِينٌۭمِّنَٱلدَّهْرِلَمْيَكُنشَيْـًۭٔامَّذْكُورًا
madhkūranshayanyakunlaml-dahriminaḥīnunl-insāniʿalāatāhal
Has(there) comeuponmana periodoftimenothe wasa thingmentioned
76:1
إِنَّاخَلَقْنَاٱلْإِنسَـٰنَمِننُّطْفَةٍأَمْشَاجٍۢنَّبْتَلِيهِفَجَعَلْنَـٰهُسَمِيعًۢابَصِيرًا
baṣīransamīʿanfajaʿalnāhunabtalīhiamshājinnuṭ'fatinminl-insānakhalaqnāinnā
Indeed, We[We] createdmanfroma semen-dropa mixture(that) We test himso We made (for) himhearingand sight
76:2
إِنَّاهَدَيْنَـٰهُٱلسَّبِيلَإِمَّاشَاكِرًۭاوَإِمَّاكَفُورًا
kafūranwa-immāshākiranimmāl-sabīlahadaynāhuinnā
Indeed, Weguided him(to) the waywhether(he) be gratefuland whether(he) be ungrateful
76:3
إِنَّآأَعْتَدْنَالِلْكَـٰفِرِينَسَلَـٰسِلَا۟وَأَغْلَـٰلًۭاوَسَعِيرًا
wasaʿīranwa-aghlālansalāsilālil'kāfirīnaaʿtadnāinnā
Indeed, We[We] have preparedfor the disbelieverschainsand shacklesand a Blazing Fire
76:4
إِنَّٱلْأَبْرَارَيَشْرَبُونَمِنكَأْسٍۢكَانَمِزَاجُهَاكَافُورًا
kāfūranmizājuhākānakasinminyashrabūnal-abrārainna
Indeedthe righteouswill drinkfroma cupisits mixture(of) Kafur
76:5
عَيْنًۭايَشْرَبُبِهَاعِبَادُٱللَّهِيُفَجِّرُونَهَاتَفْجِيرًۭا
tafjīranyufajjirūnahāl-lahiʿibādubihāyashrabuʿaynan
A spring will drinkfrom it(the) slaves(of) Allahcausing it to gush forthabundantly
76:6
يُوفُونَبِٱلنَّذْرِوَيَخَافُونَيَوْمًۭاكَانَشَرُّهُۥمُسْتَطِيرًۭا
mus'taṭīransharruhukānayawmanwayakhāfūnabil-nadhriyūfūna
They fulfillthe vowsand feara Day (which) isits evilwidespread
76:7
وَيُطْعِمُونَٱلطَّعَامَعَلَىٰحُبِّهِۦمِسْكِينًۭاوَيَتِيمًۭاوَأَسِيرًا
wa-asīranwayatīmanmis'kīnanḥubbihiʿalāl-ṭaʿāmawayuṭ'ʿimūna
And they feedthe foodin spite oflove (for) it(to the) needyand (the) orphanand (the) captive
76:8
إِنَّمَانُطْعِمُكُمْلِوَجْهِٱللَّهِلَانُرِيدُمِنكُمْجَزَآءًۭوَلَاشُكُورًا
shukūranwalājazāanminkumnurīdulāl-lahiliwajhinuṭ'ʿimukuminnamā
Onlywe feed youfor (the) Countenance(of) AllahNotwe desirefrom youany rewardand notthanks
76:9
إِنَّانَخَافُمِنرَّبِّنَايَوْمًاعَبُوسًۭاقَمْطَرِيرًۭا
qamṭarīranʿabūsanyawmanrabbināminnakhāfuinnā
Indeed, wefearfromour Lorda Day harshand distressful
76:10
فَوَقَىٰهُمُٱللَّهُشَرَّذَٰلِكَٱلْيَوْمِوَلَقَّىٰهُمْنَضْرَةًۭوَسُرُورًۭا
wasurūrannaḍratanwalaqqāhuml-yawmidhālikasharral-lahufawaqāhumu
But will protect themAllah(from the) evil(of) thatDayand will cause them to meetradianceand happiness
76:11
وَجَزَىٰهُمبِمَاصَبَرُوا۟جَنَّةًۭوَحَرِيرًۭا
waḥarīranjannatanṣabarūbimāwajazāhum
And will reward thembecausethey were patient(with) a Gardenand silk
76:12
مُّتَّكِـِٔينَفِيهَاعَلَىٱلْأَرَآئِكِ ۖلَايَرَوْنَفِيهَاشَمْسًۭاوَلَازَمْهَرِيرًۭا
zamharīranwalāshamsanfīhāyarawnalāl-arāikiʿalāfīhāmuttakiīna
RecliningthereinoncouchesNotthey will seethereinsunand notfreezing cold
76:13
وَدَانِيَةًعَلَيْهِمْظِلَـٰلُهَاوَذُلِّلَتْقُطُوفُهَاتَذْلِيلًۭا
tadhlīlanquṭūfuhāwadhullilatẓilāluhāʿalayhimwadāniyatan
And nearabove them(are) its shadesand will hang lowits cluster of fruitsdangling low
76:14
وَيُطَافُعَلَيْهِمبِـَٔانِيَةٍۢمِّنفِضَّةٍۢوَأَكْوَابٍۢكَانَتْقَوَارِيرَا۠
qawārīrākānatwa-akwābinfiḍḍatinminbiāniyatinʿalayhimwayuṭāfu
And will be circulatedamong themvesselsofsilverand cups(that) are(of) crystal
76:15
قَوَارِيرَا۟مِنفِضَّةٍۢقَدَّرُوهَاتَقْدِيرًۭا
taqdīranqaddarūhāfiḍḍatinminqawārīrā
Crystal-clearofsilverThey will determine itsmeasure
76:16
وَيُسْقَوْنَفِيهَاكَأْسًۭاكَانَمِزَاجُهَازَنجَبِيلًا
zanjabīlanmizājuhākānakasanfīhāwayus'qawna
And they will be given to drinkthereina cup isits mixture(of) Zanjabil
76:17
عَيْنًۭافِيهَاتُسَمَّىٰسَلْسَبِيلًۭا
salsabīlantusammāfīhāʿaynan
A springthereinnamedSalsabil
76:18
۞ وَيَطُوفُعَلَيْهِمْوِلْدَٰنٌۭمُّخَلَّدُونَإِذَارَأَيْتَهُمْحَسِبْتَهُمْلُؤْلُؤًۭامَّنثُورًۭا
manthūranlu'lu-anḥasib'tahumra-aytahumidhāmukhalladūnawil'dānunʿalayhimwayaṭūfu
And will circulateamong themyoung boysmade eternalWhenyou see themyou would think them(to be) pearlsscattered
76:19
وَإِذَارَأَيْتَثَمَّرَأَيْتَنَعِيمًۭاوَمُلْكًۭاكَبِيرًا
kabīranwamul'kannaʿīmanra-aytathammara-aytawa-idhā
And whenyou lookthenyou will seeblessingsand a kingdomgreat
76:20
عَـٰلِيَهُمْثِيَابُسُندُسٍخُضْرٌۭوَإِسْتَبْرَقٌۭ ۖوَحُلُّوٓا۟أَسَاوِرَمِنفِضَّةٍۢوَسَقَىٰهُمْرَبُّهُمْشَرَابًۭاطَهُورًا
ṭahūransharābanrabbuhumwasaqāhumfiḍḍatinminasāwirawaḥullūwa-is'tabraqunkhuḍ'runsundusinthiyābuʿāliyahum
Upon them(will be) garments(of) fine silkgreenand heavy brocadeAnd they will be adorned(with) braceletsofsilverand will give them to drinktheir Lorda drinkpure
76:21
إِنَّهَـٰذَاكَانَلَكُمْجَزَآءًۭوَكَانَسَعْيُكُممَّشْكُورًا
mashkūransaʿyukumwakānajazāanlakumkānahādhāinna
Indeedthisisfor youa rewardand has beenyour effortappreciated
76:22
إِنَّانَحْنُنَزَّلْنَاعَلَيْكَٱلْقُرْءَانَتَنزِيلًۭا
tanzīlanl-qur'ānaʿalaykanazzalnānaḥnuinnā
Indeed, We[We][We] revealedto youthe Quranprogressively
76:23
فَٱصْبِرْلِحُكْمِرَبِّكَوَلَاتُطِعْمِنْهُمْءَاثِمًاأَوْكَفُورًۭا
kafūranawāthimanmin'humtuṭiʿwalārabbikaliḥuk'mifa-iṣ'bir
So be patientfor (the) Command(of) your Lordand (do) notobeyfrom themany sinnerordisbeliever
76:24
وَٱذْكُرِٱسْمَرَبِّكَبُكْرَةًۭوَأَصِيلًۭا
wa-aṣīlanbuk'ratanrabbikais'mawa-udh'kuri
And remember(the) name(of) your Lordmorningand evening
76:25
وَمِنَٱلَّيْلِفَٱسْجُدْلَهُۥوَسَبِّحْهُلَيْلًۭاطَوِيلًا
ṭawīlanlaylanwasabbiḥ'hulahufa-us'judal-layliwamina
And ofthe nightprostrateto Himand glorify Hima nightlong
76:26
إِنَّهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِيُحِبُّونَٱلْعَاجِلَةَوَيَذَرُونَوَرَآءَهُمْيَوْمًۭاثَقِيلًۭا
thaqīlanyawmanwarāahumwayadharūnal-ʿājilatayuḥibbūnahāulāiinna
Indeedtheselovethe immediateand leavebehind thema Daygrave
76:27
نَّحْنُخَلَقْنَـٰهُمْوَشَدَدْنَآأَسْرَهُمْ ۖوَإِذَاشِئْنَابَدَّلْنَآأَمْثَـٰلَهُمْتَبْدِيلًا
tabdīlanamthālahumbaddalnāshi'nāwa-idhāasrahumwashadadnākhalaqnāhumnaḥnu
Wecreated themand We strengthenedtheir formsand whenWe willWe can changetheir likeness[es](with) a change
76:28
إِنَّهَـٰذِهِۦتَذْكِرَةٌۭ ۖفَمَنشَآءَٱتَّخَذَإِلَىٰرَبِّهِۦسَبِيلًۭا
sabīlanrabbihiilāittakhadhashāafamantadhkiratunhādhihiinna
Indeedthis(is) a reminderso whoeverwillslet him taketohis Lorda way
76:29
وَمَاتَشَآءُونَإِلَّآأَنيَشَآءَٱللَّهُ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَكَانَعَلِيمًاحَكِيمًۭا
ḥakīmanʿalīmankānal-lahainnal-lahuyashāaanillātashāūnawamā
And notyou willexceptthatwillsAllahIndeedAllahisAll-KnowerAll-Wise
76:30
يُدْخِلُمَنيَشَآءُفِىرَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚوَٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَأَعَدَّلَهُمْعَذَابًاأَلِيمًۢا
alīmanʿadhābanlahumaʿaddawal-ẓālimīnaraḥmatihifīyashāumanyud'khilu
He admitswhomHe willsintoHis mercybut (for) the wrongdoersHe has preparedfor thema punishmentpainful
76:31
Basmala
وَٱلْمُرْسَلَـٰتِعُرْفًۭا
ʿur'fanwal-mur'salāti
By the ones sent forthone after another
77:1
فَٱلْعَـٰصِفَـٰتِعَصْفًۭا
ʿaṣfanfal-ʿāṣifāti
And the winds that blowviolently
77:2
وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٰتِنَشْرًۭا
nashranwal-nāshirāti
And the ones that scatterfar and wide
77:3
فَٱلْفَـٰرِقَـٰتِفَرْقًۭا
farqanfal-fāriqāti
And those who separate(by the) Criterion
77:4
فَٱلْمُلْقِيَـٰتِذِكْرًا
dhik'ranfal-mul'qiyāti
And those who bring down(the) Reminder
77:5
عُذْرًاأَوْنُذْرًا
nudh'ranawʿudh'ran
(As) justificationorwarning
77:6
إِنَّمَاتُوعَدُونَلَوَٰقِعٌۭ
lawāqiʿuntūʿadūnainnamā
Indeed, whatyou are promisedwill surely occur
77:7
فَإِذَاٱلنُّجُومُطُمِسَتْ
ṭumisatl-nujūmufa-idhā
So whenthe starsare obliterated
77:8
وَإِذَاٱلسَّمَآءُفُرِجَتْ
furijatl-samāuwa-idhā
And whenthe heavenis cleft asunder
77:9
وَإِذَاٱلْجِبَالُنُسِفَتْ
nusifatl-jibāluwa-idhā
And whenthe mountainsare blown away
77:10
وَإِذَاٱلرُّسُلُأُقِّتَتْ
uqqitatl-rusuluwa-idhā
And whenthe Messengersare gathered to their appointed time
77:11
لِأَىِّيَوْمٍأُجِّلَتْ
ujjilatyawminli-ayyi
For whatDayare (these) postponed
77:12
لِيَوْمِٱلْفَصْلِ
l-faṣliliyawmi
For (the) Day(of) Judgment
77:13
وَمَآأَدْرَىٰكَمَايَوْمُٱلْفَصْلِ
l-faṣliyawmumāadrākawamā
And whatwill make you knowwhat(is the) Day(of) the Judgment
77:14
وَيْلٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍۢلِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
lil'mukadhibīnayawma-idhinwaylun
Woethat Dayto the deniers
77:15
أَلَمْنُهْلِكِٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnanuh'likialam
Did notWe destroythe former (people)
77:16
ثُمَّنُتْبِعُهُمُٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
l-ākhirīnanut'biʿuhumuthumma
ThenWe follow them up(with) the later ones
77:17
كَذَٰلِكَنَفْعَلُبِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
bil-muj'rimīnanafʿalukadhālika
ThusWe dealwith the criminals
77:18
وَيْلٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍۢلِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
lil'mukadhibīnayawma-idhinwaylun
Woethat Dayto the deniers
77:19
أَلَمْنَخْلُقكُّممِّنمَّآءٍۢمَّهِينٍۢ
mahīninmāinminnakhluqkkumalam
Did notWe create youfroma waterdespicable
77:20
فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُفِىقَرَارٍۢمَّكِينٍ
makīninqarārinfīfajaʿalnāhu
Then We placed itinan abodesafe
77:21
إِلَىٰقَدَرٍۢمَّعْلُومٍۢ
maʿlūminqadarinilā
Fora periodknown
77:22
فَقَدَرْنَافَنِعْمَٱلْقَـٰدِرُونَ
l-qādirūnafaniʿ'mafaqadarnā
So We measuredand Best(are We to) measure
77:23
وَيْلٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍۢلِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
lil'mukadhibīnayawma-idhinwaylun
Woethat Dayto the deniers
77:24
أَلَمْنَجْعَلِٱلْأَرْضَكِفَاتًا
kifātanl-arḍanajʿalialam
Have notWe madethe eartha receptacle
77:25
أَحْيَآءًۭوَأَمْوَٰتًۭا
wa-amwātanaḥyāan
(For the) livingand (the) dead
77:26
وَجَعَلْنَافِيهَارَوَٰسِىَشَـٰمِخَـٰتٍۢوَأَسْقَيْنَـٰكُممَّآءًۭفُرَاتًۭا
furātanmāanwa-asqaynākumshāmikhātinrawāsiyafīhāwajaʿalnā
And We madethereinfirmly set mountainsloftyand We gave you to drinkwater sweet
77:27
وَيْلٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍۢلِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
lil'mukadhibīnayawma-idhinwaylun
Woethat Dayto the deniers
77:28
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟إِلَىٰمَاكُنتُمبِهِۦتُكَذِّبُونَ
tukadhibūnabihikuntummāilāinṭaliqū
Proceedtowhatyou used toin itdeny
77:29
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟إِلَىٰظِلٍّۢذِىثَلَـٰثِشُعَبٍۢ
shuʿabinthalāthidhīẓillinilāinṭaliqū
Proceedtoa shadowhavingthreecolumns
77:30
لَّاظَلِيلٍۢوَلَايُغْنِىمِنَٱللَّهَبِ
l-lahabiminayugh'nīwalāẓalīlinlā
Nocool shadeand notavailingagainstthe flame
77:31
إِنَّهَاتَرْمِىبِشَرَرٍۢكَٱلْقَصْرِ
kal-qaṣribishararintarmīinnahā
Indeed, itthrows upsparksas the fortress
77:32
كَأَنَّهُۥجِمَـٰلَتٌۭصُفْرٌۭ
ṣuf'runjimālatunka-annahu
As if they (were)camelsyellow
77:33
وَيْلٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍۢلِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
lil'mukadhibīnayawma-idhinwaylun
Woethat Dayto the deniers
77:34
هَـٰذَايَوْمُلَايَنطِقُونَ
yanṭiqūnalāyawmuhādhā
This(is) a Daynotthey will speak
77:35
وَلَايُؤْذَنُلَهُمْفَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
fayaʿtadhirūnalahumyu'dhanuwalā
And notwill it be permittedfor themto make excuses
77:36
وَيْلٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍۢلِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
lil'mukadhibīnayawma-idhinwaylun
Woethat Dayto the deniers
77:37
هَـٰذَايَوْمُٱلْفَصْلِ ۖجَمَعْنَـٰكُمْوَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
wal-awalīnajamaʿnākuml-faṣliyawmuhādhā
This(is the) Day(of) JudgmentWe have gathered youand the former (people)
77:38
فَإِنكَانَلَكُمْكَيْدٌۭفَكِيدُونِ
fakīdūnikaydunlakumkānafa-in
So ifisfor youa planthen plan against Me
77:39
وَيْلٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍۢلِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
lil'mukadhibīnayawma-idhinwaylun
Woethat Dayto the deniers
77:40
إِنَّٱلْمُتَّقِينَفِىظِلَـٰلٍۢوَعُيُونٍۢ
waʿuyūninẓilālinfīl-mutaqīnainna
Indeedthe righteous(will be) inshadesand springs
77:41
وَفَوَٰكِهَمِمَّايَشْتَهُونَ
yashtahūnamimmāwafawākiha
And fruitsfrom whatthey desire
77:42
كُلُوا۟وَٱشْرَبُوا۟هَنِيٓـًٔۢابِمَاكُنتُمْتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnakuntumbimāhanīanwa-ish'rabūkulū
Eatand drink(in) satisfactionfor whatyou used todo
77:43
إِنَّاكَذَٰلِكَنَجْزِىٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
l-muḥ'sinīnanajzīkadhālikainnā
Indeed, Wethusrewardthe good-doers
77:44
وَيْلٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍۢلِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
lil'mukadhibīnayawma-idhinwaylun
Woethat Dayto the deniers
77:45
كُلُوا۟وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟قَلِيلًاإِنَّكُممُّجْرِمُونَ
muj'rimūnainnakumqalīlanwatamattaʿūkulū
Eatand enjoy yourselvesa littleindeed, you(are) criminals
77:46
وَيْلٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍۢلِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
lil'mukadhibīnayawma-idhinwaylun
Woethat Dayto the deniers
77:47
وَإِذَاقِيلَلَهُمُٱرْكَعُوا۟لَايَرْكَعُونَ
yarkaʿūnalāir'kaʿūlahumuqīlawa-idhā
And whenit is saidto themBownotthey bow
77:48
وَيْلٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍۢلِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
lil'mukadhibīnayawma-idhinwaylun
Woethat Dayto the deniers
77:49
فَبِأَىِّحَدِيثٍۭبَعْدَهُۥيُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūnabaʿdahuḥadīthinfabi-ayyi
Then in whatstatementafter itwill they believe
77:50
