Basmala
۞ كُلُّٱلطَّعَامِكَانَحِلًّۭالِّبَنِىٓإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَإِلَّامَاحَرَّمَإِسْرَٰٓءِيلُعَلَىٰنَفْسِهِۦمِنقَبْلِأَنتُنَزَّلَٱلتَّوْرَىٰةُ ۗقُلْفَأْتُوا۟بِٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِفَٱتْلُوهَآإِنكُنتُمْصَـٰدِقِينَ
ṣādiqīnakuntuminfa-it'lūhābil-tawrātifatūqull-tawrātutunazzalaanqabliminnafsihiʿalāis'rāīluḥarramamāillāis'rāīlalibanīḥillankānal-ṭaʿāmikullu
All[the] foodwaslawfulfor (the) Children(of) Israelexceptwhatmade unlawfulIsraeluponhimselffrombefore[that](was) revealedthe TauratSaySo bringthe Tauratand recite itifyou aretruthful
3:93
فَمَنِٱفْتَرَىٰعَلَىٱللَّهِٱلْكَذِبَمِنۢبَعْدِذَٰلِكَفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ
l-ẓālimūnahumufa-ulāikadhālikabaʿdiminl-kadhibal-lahiʿalāif'tarāfamani
Then whoeverfabricatesaboutAllah[the] liefromafterthatthen those they(are) the wrongdoers
3:94
قُلْصَدَقَٱللَّهُ ۗفَٱتَّبِعُوا۟مِلَّةَإِبْرَٰهِيمَحَنِيفًۭاوَمَاكَانَمِنَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
l-mush'rikīnaminakānawamāḥanīfanib'rāhīmamillatafa-ittabiʿūl-lahuṣadaqaqul
Say(has) spoken the truthAllahthen follow(the) religion(of) Ibrahim(the) uprightand nothe wasofthe polytheists
3:95
إِنَّأَوَّلَبَيْتٍۢوُضِعَلِلنَّاسِلَلَّذِىبِبَكَّةَمُبَارَكًۭاوَهُدًۭىلِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
lil'ʿālamīnawahudanmubārakanbibakkatalalladhīlilnnāsiwuḍiʿabaytinawwalainna
Indeed(the) FirstHouseset upfor the mankind(is) the one which(is) at Bakkahblessedand a guidancefor the worlds
3:96
فِيهِءَايَـٰتٌۢبَيِّنَـٰتٌۭمَّقَامُإِبْرَٰهِيمَ ۖوَمَندَخَلَهُۥكَانَءَامِنًۭا ۗوَلِلَّهِعَلَىٱلنَّاسِحِجُّٱلْبَيْتِمَنِٱسْتَطَاعَإِلَيْهِسَبِيلًۭا ۚوَمَنكَفَرَفَإِنَّٱللَّهَغَنِىٌّعَنِٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnaʿanighaniyyunl-lahafa-innakafarawamansabīlanilayhiis'taṭāʿamanil-baytiḥijjul-nāsiʿalāwalillahiāminankānadakhalahuwamanib'rāhīmamaqāmubayyinātunāyātunfīhi
In it(are) signsclearstanding place(of) Ibrahimand whoeverenters it issafeAnd (due) to Allahuponthe mankind(is) pilgrimage(of) the House(for one) whois ableto [it](find) a wayAnd whoeverdisbelievedthen indeedAllah(is) free from needofthe universe
3:97
قُلْيَـٰٓأَهْلَٱلْكِتَـٰبِلِمَتَكْفُرُونَبِـَٔايَـٰتِٱللَّهِوَٱللَّهُشَهِيدٌعَلَىٰمَاتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnamāʿalāshahīdunwal-lahul-lahibiāyātitakfurūnalimal-kitābiyāahlaqul
SayO People(of) the BookWhy(do) you disbelievein (the) Verses(of) Allahwhile Allah(is) a Witnessoverwhatyou do
3:98
قُلْيَـٰٓأَهْلَٱلْكِتَـٰبِلِمَتَصُدُّونَعَنسَبِيلِٱللَّهِمَنْءَامَنَتَبْغُونَهَاعِوَجًۭاوَأَنتُمْشُهَدَآءُ ۗوَمَاٱللَّهُبِغَـٰفِلٍعَمَّاتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnaʿammābighāfilinl-lahuwamāshuhadāuwa-antumʿiwajantabghūnahāāmanamanl-lahisabīliʿantaṣuddūnalimal-kitābiyāahlaqul
SayO People(of) the BookWhy(do) you hinderfrom(the) way(of) Allah(those) whobelieve[d]seeking (to make) it(seem) crookedwhile you(are) witnessesAnd notAllah(is) unawareof whatyou do
3:99
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوٓا۟إِنتُطِيعُوا۟فَرِيقًۭامِّنَٱلَّذِينَأُوتُوا۟ٱلْكِتَـٰبَيَرُدُّوكُمبَعْدَإِيمَـٰنِكُمْكَـٰفِرِينَ
kāfirīnaīmānikumbaʿdayaruddūkuml-kitābaūtūalladhīnaminafarīqantuṭīʿūināmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieve[d]Ifyou obeya groupfromthose whowere giventhe Bookthey will turn you backafteryour belief(as) disbelievers
3:100
وَكَيْفَتَكْفُرُونَوَأَنتُمْتُتْلَىٰعَلَيْكُمْءَايَـٰتُٱللَّهِوَفِيكُمْرَسُولُهُۥ ۗوَمَنيَعْتَصِمبِٱللَّهِفَقَدْهُدِىَإِلَىٰصِرَٰطٍۢمُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
mus'taqīminṣirāṭinilāhudiyafaqadbil-lahiyaʿtaṣimwamanrasūluhuwafīkuml-lahiāyātuʿalaykumtut'lāwa-antumtakfurūnawakayfa
And how (could)you disbelievewhile [you]is recitedupon you(the) Verses(of) Allahand among you(is) His MessengerAnd whoeverholds firmlyto Allahthen surelyhe is guidedtoa pathstraight
3:101
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟ٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَحَقَّتُقَاتِهِۦوَلَاتَمُوتُنَّإِلَّاوَأَنتُممُّسْلِمُونَ
mus'limūnawa-antumillātamūtunnawalātuqātihiḥaqqal-lahaittaqūāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieve[d]FearAllah(as is His) right(that) He (should) be fearedand (do) notdieexcept[while you](as) Muslims
3:102
وَٱعْتَصِمُوا۟بِحَبْلِٱللَّهِجَمِيعًۭاوَلَاتَفَرَّقُوا۟ ۚوَٱذْكُرُوا۟نِعْمَتَٱللَّهِعَلَيْكُمْإِذْكُنتُمْأَعْدَآءًۭفَأَلَّفَبَيْنَقُلُوبِكُمْفَأَصْبَحْتُمبِنِعْمَتِهِۦٓإِخْوَٰنًۭاوَكُنتُمْعَلَىٰشَفَاحُفْرَةٍۢمِّنَٱلنَّارِفَأَنقَذَكُممِّنْهَا ۗكَذَٰلِكَيُبَيِّنُٱللَّهُلَكُمْءَايَـٰتِهِۦلَعَلَّكُمْتَهْتَدُونَ
tahtadūnalaʿallakumāyātihilakuml-lahuyubayyinukadhālikamin'hāfa-anqadhakuml-nāriminaḥuf'ratinshafāʿalāwakuntumikh'wānanbiniʿ'matihifa-aṣbaḥtumqulūbikumbaynafa-allafaaʿdāankuntumidhʿalaykuml-lahiniʿ'matawa-udh'kurūtafarraqūwalājamīʿanl-lahibiḥabliwa-iʿ'taṣimū
And hold firmlyto (the) rope(of) Allahall togetherand (do) notbe dividedAnd remember(the) Favor(of) Allahon youwhenyou wereenemiesthen He made friendshipbetweenyour heartsthen you becameby His FavorbrothersAnd you wereon(the) brink(of) pitofthe Firethen He saved youfrom itThusmakes clearAllahfor youHis Versesso that you may(be) guided
3:103
وَلْتَكُنمِّنكُمْأُمَّةٌۭيَدْعُونَإِلَىٱلْخَيْرِوَيَأْمُرُونَبِٱلْمَعْرُوفِوَيَنْهَوْنَعَنِٱلْمُنكَرِ ۚوَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ
l-muf'liḥūnahumuwa-ulāikal-munkariʿaniwayanhawnabil-maʿrūfiwayamurūnal-khayriilāyadʿūnaummatunminkumwaltakun
And let there beamong you[a] peopleinvitingtothe good[and] enjoiningthe rightand forbiddingfromthe wrongand those they(are) the successful ones
3:104
وَلَاتَكُونُوا۟كَٱلَّذِينَتَفَرَّقُوا۟وَٱخْتَلَفُوا۟مِنۢبَعْدِمَاجَآءَهُمُٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتُ ۚوَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَلَهُمْعَذَابٌعَظِيمٌۭ
ʿaẓīmunʿadhābunlahumwa-ulāikal-bayinātujāahumumābaʿdiminwa-ikh'talafūtafarraqūka-alladhīnatakūnūwalā
And (do) notbelike those whobecame dividedand differedfromafterwhatcame to them the clear proofsAnd thosefor them(is) a punishmentgreat
3:105
يَوْمَتَبْيَضُّوُجُوهٌۭوَتَسْوَدُّوُجُوهٌۭ ۚفَأَمَّاٱلَّذِينَٱسْوَدَّتْوُجُوهُهُمْأَكَفَرْتُمبَعْدَإِيمَـٰنِكُمْفَذُوقُوا۟ٱلْعَذَابَبِمَاكُنتُمْتَكْفُرُونَ
takfurūnakuntumbimāl-ʿadhābafadhūqūīmānikumbaʿdaakafartumwujūhuhumis'waddatalladhīnafa-ammāwujūhunwataswadduwujūhuntabyaḍḍuyawma
(On the) Daywould become white(some) facesand would become black(some) facesAs forthose whoseturn black[their] faces Did you disbelieveafteryour beliefThen tastethe punishmentfor whatyou used todisbelieve
3:106
وَأَمَّاٱلَّذِينَٱبْيَضَّتْوُجُوهُهُمْفَفِىرَحْمَةِٱللَّهِهُمْفِيهَاخَـٰلِدُونَ
khālidūnafīhāhuml-lahiraḥmatifafīwujūhuhumib'yaḍḍatalladhīnawa-ammā
But as forthose whoseturn white[their] facesthen (they will be) in(the) Mercy(of) Allahtheyin it(will) abide forever
3:107
تِلْكَءَايَـٰتُٱللَّهِنَتْلُوهَاعَلَيْكَبِٱلْحَقِّ ۗوَمَاٱللَّهُيُرِيدُظُلْمًۭالِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
lil'ʿālamīnaẓul'manyurīdul-lahuwamābil-ḥaqiʿalaykanatlūhāl-lahiāyātutil'ka
These(are the) Verses(of) AllahWe recite themto youin truthAnd notAllahwantsinjusticeto the worlds
3:108
وَلِلَّهِمَافِىٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَمَافِىٱلْأَرْضِ ۚوَإِلَىٱللَّهِتُرْجَعُٱلْأُمُورُ
l-umūrutur'jaʿul-lahiwa-ilāl-arḍifīwamāl-samāwātifīmāwalillahi
And to Allah (belongs)whatever(is) inthe heavensand whatever(is) inthe earthAnd toAllahwill be returnedthe matters
3:109
كُنتُمْخَيْرَأُمَّةٍأُخْرِجَتْلِلنَّاسِتَأْمُرُونَبِٱلْمَعْرُوفِوَتَنْهَوْنَعَنِٱلْمُنكَرِوَتُؤْمِنُونَبِٱللَّهِ ۗوَلَوْءَامَنَأَهْلُٱلْكِتَـٰبِلَكَانَخَيْرًۭالَّهُم ۚمِّنْهُمُٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَوَأَكْثَرُهُمُٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَ
l-fāsiqūnawa-aktharuhumul-mu'minūnamin'humulahumkhayranlakānal-kitābiahluāmanawalawbil-lahiwatu'minūnal-munkariʿaniwatanhawnabil-maʿrūfitamurūnalilnnāsiukh'rijatummatinkhayrakuntum
You are(the) best(of) peopleraisedfor the mankind enjoiningthe rightand forbidding[from]the wrongand believingin AllahAnd ifbelieved(the) People(of) the Booksurely would have beengoodfor themAmong them(are) [the] believersbut most of them(are) defiantly disobedient
3:110
لَنيَضُرُّوكُمْإِلَّآأَذًۭى ۖوَإِنيُقَـٰتِلُوكُمْيُوَلُّوكُمُٱلْأَدْبَارَثُمَّلَايُنصَرُونَ
yunṣarūnalāthummal-adbārayuwallūkumuyuqātilūkumwa-inadhanillāyaḍurrūkumlan
Neverwill they harm youexcepta hurtAnd ifthey fight youthey will turn (towards) youthe backsthennotthey will be helped
3:111
ضُرِبَتْعَلَيْهِمُٱلذِّلَّةُأَيْنَمَاثُقِفُوٓا۟إِلَّابِحَبْلٍۢمِّنَٱللَّهِوَحَبْلٍۢمِّنَٱلنَّاسِوَبَآءُوبِغَضَبٍۢمِّنَٱللَّهِوَضُرِبَتْعَلَيْهِمُٱلْمَسْكَنَةُ ۚذَٰلِكَبِأَنَّهُمْكَانُوا۟يَكْفُرُونَبِـَٔايَـٰتِٱللَّهِوَيَقْتُلُونَٱلْأَنۢبِيَآءَبِغَيْرِحَقٍّۢ ۚذَٰلِكَبِمَاعَصَوا۟وَّكَانُوا۟يَعْتَدُونَ
yaʿtadūnawakānūʿaṣawbimādhālikaḥaqqinbighayril-anbiyāawayaqtulūnal-lahibiāyātiyakfurūnakānūbi-annahumdhālikal-maskanatuʿalayhimuwaḍuribatl-lahiminabighaḍabinwabāūl-nāsiminawaḥablinl-lahiminabiḥablinillāthuqifūmāaynal-dhilatuʿalayhimuḍuribat
Struckon themthe humiliationwhereverthatthey are foundexceptwith a ropefromAllahand a ropefromthe peopleAnd they incurredwrathfromAllahand struckon themthe povertyThat(is) becausethey used todisbelievein (the) Verses(of) Allahand they killedthe ProphetswithoutrightThat(is) becausethey disobeyedand they used totransgress
3:112
۞ لَيْسُوا۟سَوَآءًۭ ۗمِّنْأَهْلِٱلْكِتَـٰبِأُمَّةٌۭقَآئِمَةٌۭيَتْلُونَءَايَـٰتِٱللَّهِءَانَآءَٱلَّيْلِوَهُمْيَسْجُدُونَ
yasjudūnawahumal-layliānāal-lahiāyātiyatlūnaqāimatunummatunl-kitābiahliminsawāanlaysū
They are not(the) sameamong(the) People(of) the Book(is) a communitystanding(and) reciting(the) Verses(of) Allah(in the) hours(of) the nightand theyprostrate
3:113
يُؤْمِنُونَبِٱللَّهِوَٱلْيَوْمِٱلْـَٔاخِرِوَيَأْمُرُونَبِٱلْمَعْرُوفِوَيَنْهَوْنَعَنِٱلْمُنكَرِوَيُسَـٰرِعُونَفِىٱلْخَيْرَٰتِوَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَمِنَٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
l-ṣāliḥīnaminawa-ulāikal-khayrātifīwayusāriʿūnal-munkariʿaniwayanhawnabil-maʿrūfiwayamurūnal-ākhiriwal-yawmibil-lahiyu'minūna
They believein Allahand the Daythe Lastand they enjoin[with] the rightand forbid[from]the wrongand they hasteninthe good deedsAnd those(are) fromthe righteous
3:114
وَمَايَفْعَلُوا۟مِنْخَيْرٍۢفَلَنيُكْفَرُوهُ ۗوَٱللَّهُعَلِيمٌۢبِٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
bil-mutaqīnaʿalīmunwal-lahuyuk'farūhufalankhayrinminyafʿalūwamā
And whateverthey doofa goodthen neverwill they be denied itAnd Allah(is) All-Knowingof the God-fearing
3:115
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟لَنتُغْنِىَعَنْهُمْأَمْوَٰلُهُمْوَلَآأَوْلَـٰدُهُممِّنَٱللَّهِشَيْـًۭٔا ۖوَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَأَصْحَـٰبُٱلنَّارِ ۚهُمْفِيهَاخَـٰلِدُونَ
khālidūnafīhāhuml-nāriaṣḥābuwa-ulāikashayanl-lahiminaawlāduhumwalāamwāluhumʿanhumtugh'niyalankafarūalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whodisbelievedneverwill avail[for] themtheir wealthand nottheir childrenagainstAllahanythingand those(are the) companions(of) the Firetheyin it(will) abide forever
3:116
مَثَلُمَايُنفِقُونَفِىهَـٰذِهِٱلْحَيَوٰةِٱلدُّنْيَاكَمَثَلِرِيحٍۢفِيهَاصِرٌّأَصَابَتْحَرْثَقَوْمٍۢظَلَمُوٓا۟أَنفُسَهُمْفَأَهْلَكَتْهُ ۚوَمَاظَلَمَهُمُٱللَّهُوَلَـٰكِنْأَنفُسَهُمْيَظْلِمُونَ
yaẓlimūnaanfusahumwalākinl-lahuẓalamahumuwamāfa-ahlakathuanfusahumẓalamūqawminḥarthaaṣābatṣirrunfīhārīḥinkamathalil-dun'yāl-ḥayatihādhihifīyunfiqūnamāmathalu
Example(of) whatthey spendinthis[the] life(of) the world(is) like (the) example(of) a windin it(is) frostit struck(the) harvest(of) a peoplewho wrongedthemselvesthen destroyed itAnd not(has) wronged themAllah[and] butthemselvesthey wronged
3:117
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟لَاتَتَّخِذُوا۟بِطَانَةًۭمِّندُونِكُمْلَايَأْلُونَكُمْخَبَالًۭاوَدُّوا۟مَاعَنِتُّمْقَدْبَدَتِٱلْبَغْضَآءُمِنْأَفْوَٰهِهِمْوَمَاتُخْفِىصُدُورُهُمْأَكْبَرُ ۚقَدْبَيَّنَّالَكُمُٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ ۖإِنكُنتُمْتَعْقِلُونَ
taʿqilūnakuntuminl-āyātilakumubayyannāqadakbaruṣudūruhumtukh'fīwamāafwāhihimminl-baghḍāubadatiqadʿanittummāwaddūkhabālanyalūnakumlādūnikumminbiṭānatantattakhidhūlāāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieve[d](Do) nottake(as) intimatesfromother than yourselvesnotthey will spare you(any) ruinThey wishwhatdistresses youIndeed(has become) apparentthe hatredfromtheir mouthsand whatconcealstheir breasts(is) greaterCertainlyWe made clearfor youthe Versesifyou were(to use) reason
3:118
هَـٰٓأَنتُمْأُو۟لَآءِتُحِبُّونَهُمْوَلَايُحِبُّونَكُمْوَتُؤْمِنُونَبِٱلْكِتَـٰبِكُلِّهِۦوَإِذَالَقُوكُمْقَالُوٓا۟ءَامَنَّاوَإِذَاخَلَوْا۟عَضُّوا۟عَلَيْكُمُٱلْأَنَامِلَمِنَٱلْغَيْظِ ۚقُلْمُوتُوا۟بِغَيْظِكُمْ ۗإِنَّٱللَّهَعَلِيمٌۢبِذَاتِٱلصُّدُورِ
l-ṣudūribidhātiʿalīmunl-lahainnabighayẓikummūtūqull-ghayẓiminal-anāmilaʿalaykumuʿaḍḍūkhalawwa-idhāāmannāqālūlaqūkumwa-idhākullihibil-kitābiwatu'minūnayuḥibbūnakumwalātuḥibbūnahumulāihāantum
Lo! You arethoseyou love thembut notthey love youand you believein the Book all of itAnd whenthey meet youthey sayWe believeAnd whenthey are alonethey biteat youthe finger tips(out) of[the] rageSayDiein your rageIndeedAllah(is) All-Knowingof what(is in) the breasts
3:119
إِنتَمْسَسْكُمْحَسَنَةٌۭتَسُؤْهُمْوَإِنتُصِبْكُمْسَيِّئَةٌۭيَفْرَحُوا۟بِهَا ۖوَإِنتَصْبِرُوا۟وَتَتَّقُوا۟لَايَضُرُّكُمْكَيْدُهُمْشَيْـًٔا ۗإِنَّٱللَّهَبِمَايَعْمَلُونَمُحِيطٌۭ
muḥīṭunyaʿmalūnabimāl-lahainnashayankayduhumyaḍurrukumlāwatattaqūtaṣbirūwa-inbihāyafraḥūsayyi-atuntuṣib'kumwa-intasu'humḥasanatuntamsaskumin
Iftouches youa goodit grieves themand ifstrikes youmisfortunethey rejoiceat itAnd ifyou are patientand fear (Allah)notwill harm youtheir plot(in) anythingIndeedAllahof whatthey do(is) All-Encompassing
3:120
وَإِذْغَدَوْتَمِنْأَهْلِكَتُبَوِّئُٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَمَقَـٰعِدَلِلْقِتَالِ ۗوَٱللَّهُسَمِيعٌعَلِيمٌ
ʿalīmunsamīʿunwal-lahulil'qitālimaqāʿidal-mu'minīnatubawwi-uahlikaminghadawtawa-idh
And whenyou left early morningfromyour householdto postthe believers(to take) positionsfor the battleAnd Allah(is) All-HearingAll-Knowing
3:121
إِذْهَمَّتطَّآئِفَتَانِمِنكُمْأَنتَفْشَلَاوَٱللَّهُوَلِيُّهُمَا ۗوَعَلَىٱللَّهِفَلْيَتَوَكَّلِٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
l-mu'minūnafalyatawakkalil-lahiwaʿalāwaliyyuhumāwal-lahutafshalāanminkumṭāifatānihammatidh
Wheninclinedtwo partiesamong youthatthey lost heartbut Allah(was) their protectorAnd onAllahlet put (their) trustthe believers
3:122
وَلَقَدْنَصَرَكُمُٱللَّهُبِبَدْرٍۢوَأَنتُمْأَذِلَّةٌۭ ۖفَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَلَعَلَّكُمْتَشْكُرُونَ
tashkurūnalaʿallakuml-lahafa-ittaqūadhillatunwa-antumbibadrinl-lahunaṣarakumuwalaqad
And certainlyhelped youAllahin Badrwhile you (were)weakSo fearAllahso that you may(be) grateful
3:123
إِذْتَقُولُلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَأَلَنيَكْفِيَكُمْأَنيُمِدَّكُمْرَبُّكُمبِثَلَـٰثَةِءَالَـٰفٍۢمِّنَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِمُنزَلِينَ
munzalīnal-malāikatiminaālāfinbithalāthatirabbukumyumiddakumanyakfiyakumalanlil'mu'minīnataqūluidh
Whenyou saidto the believersIs it notenough for youthatreinforces youyour Lordwith threethousand[s][of][the] Angels[the ones] sent down
3:124
بَلَىٰٓ ۚإِنتَصْبِرُوا۟وَتَتَّقُوا۟وَيَأْتُوكُممِّنفَوْرِهِمْهَـٰذَايُمْدِدْكُمْرَبُّكُمبِخَمْسَةِءَالَـٰفٍۢمِّنَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِمُسَوِّمِينَ
musawwimīnal-malāikatiminaālāfinbikhamsatirabbukumyum'did'kumhādhāfawrihimminwayatūkumwatattaqūtaṣbirūinbalā
Yesifyou are patientand fear (Allah)and they come upon you[of]suddenly[this]will reinforce youyour Lordwith fivethousand[s][of][the] Angels[the ones] having marks
3:125
وَمَاجَعَلَهُٱللَّهُإِلَّابُشْرَىٰلَكُمْوَلِتَطْمَئِنَّقُلُوبُكُمبِهِۦ ۗوَمَاٱلنَّصْرُإِلَّامِنْعِندِٱللَّهِٱلْعَزِيزِٱلْحَكِيمِ
l-ḥakīmil-ʿazīzil-lahiʿindiminillāl-naṣruwamābihiqulūbukumwalitaṭma-innalakumbush'rāillāl-lahujaʿalahuwamā
And notmade itAllahexcept(as) good newsfor youand to reassureyour heartswith itAnd (there is) no[the] victoryexceptfrom[near]Allahthe All-Mightythe All-Wise
3:126
لِيَقْطَعَطَرَفًۭامِّنَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوٓا۟أَوْيَكْبِتَهُمْفَيَنقَلِبُوا۟خَآئِبِينَ
khāibīnafayanqalibūyakbitahumawkafarūalladhīnaminaṭarafanliyaqṭaʿa
That He may cut offa partofthose whodisbelievedorsuppress themso (that) they turn backdisappointed
3:127
لَيْسَلَكَمِنَٱلْأَمْرِشَىْءٌأَوْيَتُوبَعَلَيْهِمْأَوْيُعَذِّبَهُمْفَإِنَّهُمْظَـٰلِمُونَ
ẓālimūnafa-innahumyuʿadhibahumawʿalayhimyatūbaawshayonl-amriminalakalaysa
Notfor youofthe decision(of) anythingwhetherHe turnsto themorpunishes themfor indeed, they(are) wrongdoers
3:128
وَلِلَّهِمَافِىٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَمَافِىٱلْأَرْضِ ۚيَغْفِرُلِمَنيَشَآءُوَيُعَذِّبُمَنيَشَآءُ ۚوَٱللَّهُغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunghafūrunwal-lahuyashāumanwayuʿadhibuyashāulimanyaghfirul-arḍifīwamāl-samāwātifīmāwalillahi
And to Allah (belongs)what(is) inthe heavensand what(is) inthe earthHe forgives[for] whomHe willsand punisheswhomHe willsAnd Allah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
3:129
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟لَاتَأْكُلُوا۟ٱلرِّبَوٰٓا۟أَضْعَـٰفًۭامُّضَـٰعَفَةًۭ ۖوَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَلَعَلَّكُمْتُفْلِحُونَ
tuf'liḥūnalaʿallakuml-lahawa-ittaqūmuḍāʿafatanaḍʿāfanl-ribatakulūlāāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieve(Do) noteatthe usurydoubledmultipliedAnd fearAllahso that you may(be) successful
3:130
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱلنَّارَٱلَّتِىٓأُعِدَّتْلِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
lil'kāfirīnauʿiddatallatīl-nārawa-ittaqū
And fearthe Firewhichis preparedfor the disbelievers
3:131
وَأَطِيعُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَٱلرَّسُولَلَعَلَّكُمْتُرْحَمُونَ
tur'ḥamūnalaʿallakumwal-rasūlal-lahawa-aṭīʿū
And obeyAllahand the Messengerso that you mayreceive mercy
3:132
۞ وَسَارِعُوٓا۟إِلَىٰمَغْفِرَةٍۢمِّنرَّبِّكُمْوَجَنَّةٍعَرْضُهَاٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتُوَٱلْأَرْضُأُعِدَّتْلِلْمُتَّقِينَ
lil'muttaqīnauʿiddatwal-arḍul-samāwātuʿarḍuhāwajannatinrabbikumminmaghfiratinilāwasāriʿū
And hastentoforgivenessfromyour Lordand a Garden its width(is like that of) the heavensand the earthpreparedfor the pious
3:133
ٱلَّذِينَيُنفِقُونَفِىٱلسَّرَّآءِوَٱلضَّرَّآءِوَٱلْكَـٰظِمِينَٱلْغَيْظَوَٱلْعَافِينَعَنِٱلنَّاسِ ۗوَٱللَّهُيُحِبُّٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
l-muḥ'sinīnayuḥibbuwal-lahul-nāsiʿaniwal-ʿāfīnal-ghayẓawal-kāẓimīnawal-ḍarāil-sarāifīyunfiqūnaalladhīna
Those whospendin[the] easeand (in) the hardshipand those who restrainthe angerand those who pardon[from]the people and Allahlovesthe good-doers
3:134
وَٱلَّذِينَإِذَافَعَلُوا۟فَـٰحِشَةًأَوْظَلَمُوٓا۟أَنفُسَهُمْذَكَرُوا۟ٱللَّهَفَٱسْتَغْفَرُوا۟لِذُنُوبِهِمْوَمَنيَغْفِرُٱلذُّنُوبَإِلَّاٱللَّهُوَلَمْيُصِرُّوا۟عَلَىٰمَافَعَلُوا۟وَهُمْيَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnawahumfaʿalūmāʿalāyuṣirrūwalaml-lahuillāl-dhunūbayaghfiruwamanlidhunūbihimfa-is'taghfarūl-lahadhakarūanfusahumẓalamūawfāḥishatanfaʿalūidhāwa-alladhīna
And thosewhenthey didimmoralityorwrongedthemselves they rememberAllahthen ask forgivenessfor their sins and who(can) forgivethe sinsexceptAllahAnd notthey persistonwhatthey didwhile theyknow
3:135
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَجَزَآؤُهُممَّغْفِرَةٌۭمِّنرَّبِّهِمْوَجَنَّـٰتٌۭتَجْرِىمِنتَحْتِهَاٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُخَـٰلِدِينَفِيهَا ۚوَنِعْمَأَجْرُٱلْعَـٰمِلِينَ
l-ʿāmilīnaajruwaniʿ'mafīhākhālidīnal-anhārutaḥtihāmintajrīwajannātunrabbihimminmaghfiratunjazāuhumulāika
Those their reward(is) forgivenessfromtheir Lordand Gardensflowsfromunderneath itthe riversabiding foreverin itAnd an excellentreward(for) the (righteous) workers
3:136
قَدْخَلَتْمِنقَبْلِكُمْسُنَنٌۭفَسِيرُوا۟فِىٱلْأَرْضِفَٱنظُرُوا۟كَيْفَكَانَعَـٰقِبَةُٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
l-mukadhibīnaʿāqibatukānakayfafa-unẓurūl-arḍifīfasīrūsunanunqablikumminkhalatqad
Verilypassedfrombefore yousituationsthen travelinthe earthand seehowwas(the) end(of) the deniers
3:137
هَـٰذَابَيَانٌۭلِّلنَّاسِوَهُدًۭىوَمَوْعِظَةٌۭلِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
lil'muttaqīnawamawʿiẓatunwahudanlilnnāsibayānunhādhā
This(is) a declarationfor the peopleand guidanceand admonitionfor the God-fearing
3:138
وَلَاتَهِنُوا۟وَلَاتَحْزَنُوا۟وَأَنتُمُٱلْأَعْلَوْنَإِنكُنتُممُّؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnakuntuminl-aʿlawnawa-antumutaḥzanūwalātahinūwalā
And (do) notweakenand (do) notgrieveand you (will be)[the] superiorifyou arebelievers
3:139
إِنيَمْسَسْكُمْقَرْحٌۭفَقَدْمَسَّٱلْقَوْمَقَرْحٌۭمِّثْلُهُۥ ۚوَتِلْكَٱلْأَيَّامُنُدَاوِلُهَابَيْنَٱلنَّاسِوَلِيَعْلَمَٱللَّهُٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَيَتَّخِذَمِنكُمْشُهَدَآءَ ۗوَٱللَّهُلَايُحِبُّٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnayuḥibbulāwal-lahushuhadāaminkumwayattakhidhaāmanūalladhīnal-lahuwaliyaʿlamal-nāsibaynanudāwiluhāl-ayāmuwatil'kamith'luhuqarḥunl-qawmamassafaqadqarḥunyamsaskumin
Iftouched youa woundso certainly(has) touchedthe peoplewoundlike itAnd this[the] daysWe alternate themamongthe people[and] so that makes evidentAllahthose whobelieve[d]and takefrom youmartyrsAnd Allah(does) notlovethe wrongdoers
3:140
وَلِيُمَحِّصَٱللَّهُٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَيَمْحَقَٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīnawayamḥaqaāmanūalladhīnal-lahuwaliyumaḥḥiṣa
And so that may purifyAllahthose whobelieveand destroythe disbelievers
3:141
أَمْحَسِبْتُمْأَنتَدْخُلُوا۟ٱلْجَنَّةَوَلَمَّايَعْلَمِٱللَّهُٱلَّذِينَجَـٰهَدُوا۟مِنكُمْوَيَعْلَمَٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ
l-ṣābirīnawayaʿlamaminkumjāhadūalladhīnal-lahuyaʿlamiwalammāl-janatatadkhulūanḥasib'tumam
Ordo you thinkthatyou will enterParadisewhile has not yetmade evidentAllahthose whostrove hardamong youand made evidentthe steadfast
3:142
وَلَقَدْكُنتُمْتَمَنَّوْنَٱلْمَوْتَمِنقَبْلِأَنتَلْقَوْهُفَقَدْرَأَيْتُمُوهُوَأَنتُمْتَنظُرُونَ
tanẓurūnawa-antumra-aytumūhufaqadtalqawhuanqabliminl-mawtatamannawnakuntumwalaqad
And certainlyyou used towish(for) deathfrombefore[that]you met itthen indeedyou have seen itwhile you (were)looking on
3:143
وَمَامُحَمَّدٌإِلَّارَسُولٌۭقَدْخَلَتْمِنقَبْلِهِٱلرُّسُلُ ۚأَفَإِي۟نمَّاتَأَوْقُتِلَٱنقَلَبْتُمْعَلَىٰٓأَعْقَـٰبِكُمْ ۚوَمَنيَنقَلِبْعَلَىٰعَقِبَيْهِفَلَنيَضُرَّٱللَّهَشَيْـًۭٔا ۗوَسَيَجْزِىٱللَّهُٱلشَّـٰكِرِينَ
l-shākirīnal-lahuwasayajzīshayanl-lahayaḍurrafalanʿaqibayhiʿalāyanqalibwamanaʿqābikumʿalāinqalabtumqutilaawmātaafa-inl-rusuluqablihiminkhalatqadrasūlunillāmuḥammadunwamā
And not(is) Muhammad excepta Messengercertainlypassed awayfrombefore him[the] (other) MessengersSo ifhe diedoris slainwill you turn backonyour heelsAnd whoeverturns backonhis heelsthen neverwill he harmAllah(in) anythingAnd will rewardAllahthe grateful ones
3:144
وَمَاكَانَلِنَفْسٍأَنتَمُوتَإِلَّابِإِذْنِٱللَّهِكِتَـٰبًۭامُّؤَجَّلًۭا ۗوَمَنيُرِدْثَوَابَٱلدُّنْيَانُؤْتِهِۦمِنْهَاوَمَنيُرِدْثَوَابَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِنُؤْتِهِۦمِنْهَا ۚوَسَنَجْزِىٱلشَّـٰكِرِينَ
l-shākirīnawasanajzīmin'hānu'tihil-ākhiratithawābayuridwamanmin'hānu'tihil-dun'yāthawābayuridwamanmu-ajjalankitābanl-lahibi-idh'niillātamūtaanlinafsinkānawamā
And notisfor a soulthathe diesexceptby (the) permission(of) Allah(at a) decreedeterminedAnd whoeverdesiresreward(of) the world We will give himthereofand whoeverdesiresreward(of) the HereafterWe will give himthereofAnd We will rewardthe grateful ones
3:145
وَكَأَيِّنمِّننَّبِىٍّۢقَـٰتَلَمَعَهُۥرِبِّيُّونَكَثِيرٌۭفَمَاوَهَنُوا۟لِمَآأَصَابَهُمْفِىسَبِيلِٱللَّهِوَمَاضَعُفُوا۟وَمَاٱسْتَكَانُوا۟ ۗوَٱللَّهُيُحِبُّٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ
l-ṣābirīnayuḥibbuwal-lahuis'takānūwamāḍaʿufūwamāl-lahisabīlifīaṣābahumlimāwahanūfamākathīrunribbiyyūnamaʿahuqātalanabiyyinminwaka-ayyin
And how manyfroma Prophetfoughtwith him(were) religious scholarsmanyBut notthey lost heartfor whatbefell themin(the) way(of) Allahand notthey weakenedand notthey gave inAnd Allahlovesthe patient ones
3:146
وَمَاكَانَقَوْلَهُمْإِلَّآأَنقَالُوا۟رَبَّنَاٱغْفِرْلَنَاذُنُوبَنَاوَإِسْرَافَنَافِىٓأَمْرِنَاوَثَبِّتْأَقْدَامَنَاوَٱنصُرْنَاعَلَىٱلْقَوْمِٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīnal-qawmiʿalāwa-unṣur'nāaqdāmanāwathabbitamrināfīwa-is'rāfanādhunūbanālanāigh'firrabbanāqālūanillāqawlahumkānawamā
And notweretheir wordsexceptthatthey saidOur Lordforgivefor usour sinsand our excessesinour affairsand make firmour feetand give us victoryover[the people]the disbelievers
3:147
فَـَٔاتَىٰهُمُٱللَّهُثَوَابَٱلدُّنْيَاوَحُسْنَثَوَابِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۗوَٱللَّهُيُحِبُّٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
l-muḥ'sinīnayuḥibbuwal-lahul-ākhiratithawābiwaḥus'nal-dun'yāthawābal-lahufaātāhumu
So gave themAllahreward(in) the worldand goodreward(in) the HereafterAnd Allahlovesthe good-doers
3:148
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوٓا۟إِنتُطِيعُوا۟ٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟يَرُدُّوكُمْعَلَىٰٓأَعْقَـٰبِكُمْفَتَنقَلِبُوا۟خَـٰسِرِينَ
khāsirīnafatanqalibūaʿqābikumʿalāyaruddūkumkafarūalladhīnatuṭīʿūināmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieveIfyou obeythose whodisbelievethey will turn you backonyour heelsthen you will turn back(as) losers
3:149
بَلِٱللَّهُمَوْلَىٰكُمْ ۖوَهُوَخَيْرُٱلنَّـٰصِرِينَ
l-nāṣirīnakhayruwahuwamawlākuml-lahubali
NayAllah(is) your Protectorand He(is the) best(of) the Helpers
3:150
سَنُلْقِىفِىقُلُوبِٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟ٱلرُّعْبَبِمَآأَشْرَكُوا۟بِٱللَّهِمَالَمْيُنَزِّلْبِهِۦسُلْطَـٰنًۭا ۖوَمَأْوَىٰهُمُٱلنَّارُ ۚوَبِئْسَمَثْوَىٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnamathwāwabi'sal-nāruwamawāhumusul'ṭānanbihiyunazzillammābil-lahiashrakūbimāl-ruʿ'bakafarūalladhīnaqulūbifīsanul'qī
We will castin(the) hearts(of) those whodisbelieve[the] terrorbecausethey associated partnerswith AllahwhatnotHe sent downabout itany authorityand their refuge(will be) the Fireand wretched(is the) abode[of] the wrongdoers
3:151
وَلَقَدْصَدَقَكُمُٱللَّهُوَعْدَهُۥٓإِذْتَحُسُّونَهُمبِإِذْنِهِۦ ۖحَتَّىٰٓإِذَافَشِلْتُمْوَتَنَـٰزَعْتُمْفِىٱلْأَمْرِوَعَصَيْتُممِّنۢبَعْدِمَآأَرَىٰكُممَّاتُحِبُّونَ ۚمِنكُممَّنيُرِيدُٱلدُّنْيَاوَمِنكُممَّنيُرِيدُٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ ۚثُمَّصَرَفَكُمْعَنْهُمْلِيَبْتَلِيَكُمْ ۖوَلَقَدْعَفَاعَنكُمْ ۗوَٱللَّهُذُوفَضْلٍعَلَىٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnaʿalāfaḍlindhūwal-lahuʿankumʿafāwalaqadliyabtaliyakumʿanhumṣarafakumthummal-ākhiratayurīdumanwaminkuml-dun'yāyurīdumanminkumtuḥibbūnamāarākummābaʿdiminwaʿaṣaytuml-amrifīwatanāzaʿtumfashil'tumidhāḥattābi-idh'nihitaḥussūnahumidhwaʿdahul-lahuṣadaqakumuwalaqad
And certainlyfulfilled to youAllahHis promisewhenyou were killing themby His permissionuntilwhenyou lost courageand you fell into disputeconcerningthe orderand you disobeyedfromafter[what]He (had) shown youwhatyou loveAmong you(are some) whodesirethe worldand among you(are some) whodesirethe HereafterThenHe diverted youfrom themso that He may test youAnd surelyHe forgaveyouAnd Allah(is the) Possessor(of) Bountyforthe believers
3:152
۞ إِذْتُصْعِدُونَوَلَاتَلْوُۥنَعَلَىٰٓأَحَدٍۢوَٱلرَّسُولُيَدْعُوكُمْفِىٓأُخْرَىٰكُمْفَأَثَـٰبَكُمْغَمًّۢابِغَمٍّۢلِّكَيْلَاتَحْزَنُوا۟عَلَىٰمَافَاتَكُمْوَلَامَآأَصَـٰبَكُمْ ۗوَٱللَّهُخَبِيرٌۢبِمَاتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnabimākhabīrunwal-lahuaṣābakummāwalāfātakummāʿalātaḥzanūlikaylābighamminghammanfa-athābakumukh'rākumfīyadʿūkumwal-rasūluaḥadinʿalātalwūnawalātuṣ'ʿidūnaidh
Whenyou were running uphilland notcasting a glanceonanyonewhile the Messengerwas calling you[in](from) behind youSo (He) repaid you(with) distresson distressso that notyou grieveoverwhatescaped youand notwhat(had) befallen youAnd Allah(is) All-Awareof whatyou do
3:153
ثُمَّأَنزَلَعَلَيْكُممِّنۢبَعْدِٱلْغَمِّأَمَنَةًۭنُّعَاسًۭايَغْشَىٰطَآئِفَةًۭمِّنكُمْ ۖوَطَآئِفَةٌۭقَدْأَهَمَّتْهُمْأَنفُسُهُمْيَظُنُّونَبِٱللَّهِغَيْرَٱلْحَقِّظَنَّٱلْجَـٰهِلِيَّةِ ۖيَقُولُونَهَللَّنَامِنَٱلْأَمْرِمِنشَىْءٍۢ ۗقُلْإِنَّٱلْأَمْرَكُلَّهُۥلِلَّهِ ۗيُخْفُونَفِىٓأَنفُسِهِممَّالَايُبْدُونَلَكَ ۖيَقُولُونَلَوْكَانَلَنَامِنَٱلْأَمْرِشَىْءٌۭمَّاقُتِلْنَاهَـٰهُنَا ۗقُللَّوْكُنتُمْفِىبُيُوتِكُمْلَبَرَزَٱلَّذِينَكُتِبَعَلَيْهِمُٱلْقَتْلُإِلَىٰمَضَاجِعِهِمْ ۖوَلِيَبْتَلِىَٱللَّهُمَافِىصُدُورِكُمْوَلِيُمَحِّصَمَافِىقُلُوبِكُمْ ۗوَٱللَّهُعَلِيمٌۢبِذَاتِٱلصُّدُورِ
l-ṣudūribidhātiʿalīmunwal-lahuqulūbikumfīmāwaliyumaḥḥiṣaṣudūrikumfīmāl-lahuwaliyabtaliyamaḍājiʿihimilāl-qatluʿalayhimukutibaalladhīnalabarazabuyūtikumfīkuntumlawqulhāhunāqutil'nāmāshayonl-amriminalanākānalawyaqūlūnalakayub'dūnalāmāanfusihimfīyukh'fūnalillahikullahul-amrainnaqulshayinminl-amriminalanāhalyaqūlūnal-jāhiliyatiẓannal-ḥaqighayrabil-lahiyaẓunnūnaanfusuhumahammathumqadwaṭāifatunminkumṭāifatanyaghshānuʿāsanamanatanl-ghamibaʿdiminʿalaykumanzalathumma
ThenHe sent downupon youfromafterthe distresssecurity slumberovercominga groupof youwhile a groupcertainlyworried [them](about) themselvesthinkingabout Allahother thanthe truth (the) thought(of) [the] ignorancesayingIs (there)for usfromthe matteranythingSayIndeedthe matterall (of) it(is) for AllahThey hideinthemselveswhatnotthey revealto youThey sayIfwasfor usfromthe matteranythingnotwe would have been killedhereSayIfyou wereinyour housessurely (would have) come outthose who was decreedupon them[the] deathtowardstheir places of deathAnd that might testAllahwhat(is) inyour breastsand that He may purgewhat(is) inyour heartsAnd Allah(is) All-Awareof what(is in) the breasts
3:154
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَتَوَلَّوْا۟مِنكُمْيَوْمَٱلْتَقَىٱلْجَمْعَانِإِنَّمَاٱسْتَزَلَّهُمُٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُبِبَعْضِمَاكَسَبُوا۟ ۖوَلَقَدْعَفَاٱللَّهُعَنْهُمْ ۗإِنَّٱللَّهَغَفُورٌحَلِيمٌۭ
ḥalīmunghafūrunl-lahainnaʿanhuml-lahuʿafāwalaqadkasabūmābibaʿḍil-shayṭānuis'tazallahumuinnamāl-jamʿānil-taqāyawmaminkumtawallawalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whoturned backamong you(on the) daymetthe two hosts onlymade them slipthe Shaitaanfor some(of) whatthey (had) earnedAnd surelyforgaveAllah[on] themindeedAllah(is) Oft-ForgivingAll-Forbearing
3:155
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟لَاتَكُونُوا۟كَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟وَقَالُوا۟لِإِخْوَٰنِهِمْإِذَاضَرَبُوا۟فِىٱلْأَرْضِأَوْكَانُوا۟غُزًّۭىلَّوْكَانُوا۟عِندَنَامَامَاتُوا۟وَمَاقُتِلُوا۟لِيَجْعَلَٱللَّهُذَٰلِكَحَسْرَةًۭفِىقُلُوبِهِمْ ۗوَٱللَّهُيُحْىِۦوَيُمِيتُ ۗوَٱللَّهُبِمَاتَعْمَلُونَبَصِيرٌۭ
baṣīruntaʿmalūnabimāwal-lahuwayumītuyuḥ'yīwal-lahuqulūbihimfīḥasratandhālikal-lahuliyajʿalaqutilūwamāmātūmāʿindanākānūlawghuzzankānūawl-arḍifīḍarabūidhāli-ikh'wānihimwaqālūkafarūka-alladhīnatakūnūlāāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieve[d](Do) notbelike those whodisbelievedand they saidabout their brotherswhenthey traveledinthe earthorthey werefightingIfthey had beenwith usnotthey (would have) diedand notthey (would have) been killedSo makesAllahthata regretintheir heartsAnd Allahgives lifeand causes deathand Allahof whatyou do(is) All-Seer
3:156
وَلَئِنقُتِلْتُمْفِىسَبِيلِٱللَّهِأَوْمُتُّمْلَمَغْفِرَةٌۭمِّنَٱللَّهِوَرَحْمَةٌخَيْرٌۭمِّمَّايَجْمَعُونَ
yajmaʿūnamimmākhayrunwaraḥmatunl-lahiminalamaghfiratunmuttumawl-lahisabīlifīqutil'tumwala-in
And ifyou are killedin(the) way(of) Allahordie[d] certainly forgivenessfromAllahand Mercy(are) betterthan whatthey accumulate
3:157
وَلَئِنمُّتُّمْأَوْقُتِلْتُمْلَإِلَىٱللَّهِتُحْشَرُونَ
tuḥ'sharūnal-lahila-ilāqutil'tumawmuttumwala-in
And ifyou dieorare killedsurely toAllahyou will be gathered
3:158
فَبِمَارَحْمَةٍۢمِّنَٱللَّهِلِنتَلَهُمْ ۖوَلَوْكُنتَفَظًّاغَلِيظَٱلْقَلْبِلَٱنفَضُّوا۟مِنْحَوْلِكَ ۖفَٱعْفُعَنْهُمْوَٱسْتَغْفِرْلَهُمْوَشَاوِرْهُمْفِىٱلْأَمْرِ ۖفَإِذَاعَزَمْتَفَتَوَكَّلْعَلَىٱللَّهِ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَيُحِبُّٱلْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ
l-mutawakilīnayuḥibbul-lahainnal-lahiʿalāfatawakkalʿazamtafa-idhāl-amrifīwashāwir'humlahumwa-is'taghfirʿanhumfa-uʿ'fuḥawlikaminla-infaḍḍūl-qalbighalīẓafaẓẓankuntawalawlahumlintal-lahiminaraḥmatinfabimā
So because(of) MercyfromAllahyou dealt gentlywith themAnd ifyou had beenrude(and) harsh(at) [the] heartsurely they (would have) dispersedfromaround youThen pardon[from] themand ask forgivenessfor themand consult theminthe matterThen whenyou have decidedthen put trustonAllahIndeedAllahlovesthe ones who put trust (in Him)
3:159
إِنيَنصُرْكُمُٱللَّهُفَلَاغَالِبَلَكُمْ ۖوَإِنيَخْذُلْكُمْفَمَنذَاٱلَّذِىيَنصُرُكُممِّنۢبَعْدِهِۦ ۗوَعَلَىٱللَّهِفَلْيَتَوَكَّلِٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
l-mu'minūnafalyatawakkalil-lahiwaʿalābaʿdihiminyanṣurukumalladhīdhāfamanyakhdhul'kumwa-inlakumghālibafalāl-lahuyanṣur'kumuin
Ifhelps youAllahthen not(can) overcome[for] youand ifHe forsakes youthen who(is)the one whocan help youfromafter HimAnd onAllah let put (their) trustthe believers
3:160
وَمَاكَانَلِنَبِىٍّأَنيَغُلَّ ۚوَمَنيَغْلُلْيَأْتِبِمَاغَلَّيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۚثُمَّتُوَفَّىٰكُلُّنَفْسٍۢمَّاكَسَبَتْوَهُمْلَايُظْلَمُونَ
yuẓ'lamūnalāwahumkasabatmānafsinkullutuwaffāthummal-qiyāmatiyawmaghallabimāyatiyaghlulwamanyaghullaanlinabiyyinkānawamā
And notisfor a Prophetthathe defraudsAnd whoeverdefraudswill bringwhathe had defrauded(on the) Day(of) ResurrectionThenis repaid in fulleverysoulwhatit earnedand they(will) notbe wronged
3:161
أَفَمَنِٱتَّبَعَرِضْوَٰنَٱللَّهِكَمَنۢبَآءَبِسَخَطٍۢمِّنَٱللَّهِوَمَأْوَىٰهُجَهَنَّمُ ۚوَبِئْسَٱلْمَصِيرُ
l-maṣīruwabi'sajahannamuwamawāhul-lahiminabisakhaṭinbāakamanl-lahiriḍ'wānaittabaʿaafamani
So is (the one) whopursues(the) pleasure(of) Allahlike (the one) whodrawson (himself) wrathofAllahand his abode(is) helland wretched(is) the destination
3:162
هُمْدَرَجَـٰتٌعِندَٱللَّهِ ۗوَٱللَّهُبَصِيرٌۢبِمَايَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnabimābaṣīrunwal-lahul-lahiʿindadarajātunhum
They(are in varying) degreesnearAllahand Allah(is) All-Seerof whatthey do
3:163
لَقَدْمَنَّٱللَّهُعَلَىٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَإِذْبَعَثَفِيهِمْرَسُولًۭامِّنْأَنفُسِهِمْيَتْلُوا۟عَلَيْهِمْءَايَـٰتِهِۦوَيُزَكِّيهِمْوَيُعَلِّمُهُمُٱلْكِتَـٰبَوَٱلْحِكْمَةَوَإِنكَانُوا۟مِنقَبْلُلَفِىضَلَـٰلٍۢمُّبِينٍ
mubīninḍalālinlafīqabluminkānūwa-inwal-ḥik'matal-kitābawayuʿallimuhumuwayuzakkīhimāyātihiʿalayhimyatlūanfusihimminrasūlanfīhimbaʿathaidhl-mu'minīnaʿalāl-lahumannalaqad
Certainlybestowed a FavorAllahuponthe believersasHe raisedamong thema Messengerfromthemselvesrecitingto themHis Versesand purifying themand teaching themthe Bookand the wisdomalthoughthey werefrombefore (that)certainly in(the) errorclear
3:164
أَوَلَمَّآأَصَـٰبَتْكُممُّصِيبَةٌۭقَدْأَصَبْتُممِّثْلَيْهَاقُلْتُمْأَنَّىٰهَـٰذَا ۖقُلْهُوَمِنْعِندِأَنفُسِكُمْ ۗإِنَّٱللَّهَعَلَىٰكُلِّشَىْءٍۢقَدِيرٌۭ
qadīrunshayinkulliʿalāl-lahainnaanfusikumʿindiminhuwaqulhādhāannāqul'tummith'layhāaṣabtumqadmuṣībatunaṣābatkumawalammā
Or whenstruck youdisastersurelyyou (had) struck (them)twice of ityou saidFrom where(is) thisSayIt(is)fromyourselvesIndeedAllah(is) oneverythingAll-Powerful
3:165
وَمَآأَصَـٰبَكُمْيَوْمَٱلْتَقَىٱلْجَمْعَانِفَبِإِذْنِٱللَّهِوَلِيَعْلَمَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnawaliyaʿlamal-lahifabi-idh'nil-jamʿānil-taqāyawmaaṣābakumwamā
And whatstruck you(on the) day(when) metthe two hosts(was) by (the) permission(of) Allahand that He (might) make evidentthe believers
3:166
وَلِيَعْلَمَٱلَّذِينَنَافَقُوا۟ ۚوَقِيلَلَهُمْتَعَالَوْا۟قَـٰتِلُوا۟فِىسَبِيلِٱللَّهِأَوِٱدْفَعُوا۟ ۖقَالُوا۟لَوْنَعْلَمُقِتَالًۭالَّٱتَّبَعْنَـٰكُمْ ۗهُمْلِلْكُفْرِيَوْمَئِذٍأَقْرَبُمِنْهُمْلِلْإِيمَـٰنِ ۚيَقُولُونَبِأَفْوَٰهِهِممَّالَيْسَفِىقُلُوبِهِمْ ۗوَٱللَّهُأَعْلَمُبِمَايَكْتُمُونَ
yaktumūnabimāaʿlamuwal-lahuqulūbihimfīlaysamābi-afwāhihimyaqūlūnalil'īmānimin'humaqrabuyawma-idhinlil'kuf'rihumla-ittabaʿnākumqitālannaʿlamulawqālūid'faʿūawil-lahisabīlifīqātilūtaʿālawlahumwaqīlanāfaqūalladhīnawaliyaʿlama
And that He (might) make evidentthose who(are) hypocritesAnd it was saidto themComefightin(the) way(of) AllahordefendThey saidIfwe knewfightingcertainly we (would have) followed youThey to disbeliefthat day(were) nearerthan [them]to the faithsayingwith their mouthswhatwas notintheir heartsAnd Allah(is) Most Knowingof whatthey conceal
3:167
ٱلَّذِينَقَالُوا۟لِإِخْوَٰنِهِمْوَقَعَدُوا۟لَوْأَطَاعُونَامَاقُتِلُوا۟ ۗقُلْفَٱدْرَءُوا۟عَنْأَنفُسِكُمُٱلْمَوْتَإِنكُنتُمْصَـٰدِقِينَ
ṣādiqīnakuntuminl-mawtaanfusikumuʿanfa-id'raūqulqutilūmāaṭāʿūnālawwaqaʿadūli-ikh'wānihimqālūalladhīna
Those whosaidabout their brotherswhile they satIfthey (had) obeyed usnotthey would have been killedSayThen avertfromyourselves[the] deathifyou aretruthful
3:168
وَلَاتَحْسَبَنَّٱلَّذِينَقُتِلُوا۟فِىسَبِيلِٱللَّهِأَمْوَٰتًۢا ۚبَلْأَحْيَآءٌعِندَرَبِّهِمْيُرْزَقُونَ
yur'zaqūnarabbihimʿindaaḥyāonbalamwātanl-lahisabīlifīqutilūalladhīnataḥsabannawalā
And (do) notthink(of) those whoare killedin(the) way(of) Allah(as) deadNayThey are aliveneartheir Lordthey are given provision
3:169
فَرِحِينَبِمَآءَاتَىٰهُمُٱللَّهُمِنفَضْلِهِۦوَيَسْتَبْشِرُونَبِٱلَّذِينَلَمْيَلْحَقُوا۟بِهِممِّنْخَلْفِهِمْأَلَّاخَوْفٌعَلَيْهِمْوَلَاهُمْيَحْزَنُونَ
yaḥzanūnahumwalāʿalayhimkhawfunallākhalfihimminbihimyalḥaqūlambi-alladhīnawayastabshirūnafaḍlihiminl-lahuātāhumubimāfariḥīna
Rejoicingin whatbestowed themAllahofHis Bountyand they receive good tidingsabout those who(have) notyet joined[with] them[from](but are) left behind that (there will be) nofearon themand nottheywill grieve
3:170
۞ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَبِنِعْمَةٍۢمِّنَٱللَّهِوَفَضْلٍۢوَأَنَّٱللَّهَلَايُضِيعُأَجْرَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnaajrayuḍīʿulāl-lahawa-annawafaḍlinl-lahiminabiniʿ'matinyastabshirūna
They receive good tidingsof FavorfromAllahand Bountyand thatAllah(does) notlet go waste(the) reward(of) the believers
3:171
ٱلَّذِينَٱسْتَجَابُوا۟لِلَّهِوَٱلرَّسُولِمِنۢبَعْدِمَآأَصَابَهُمُٱلْقَرْحُ ۚلِلَّذِينَأَحْسَنُوا۟مِنْهُمْوَٱتَّقَوْا۟أَجْرٌعَظِيمٌ
ʿaẓīmunajrunwa-ittaqawmin'humaḥsanūlilladhīnal-qarḥuaṣābahumumābaʿdiminwal-rasūlilillahiis'tajābūalladhīna
Those whorespondedto Allahand the Messengerfromafterwhatbefell them the injury for those whodid goodamong themand feared Allah(is) a reward great
3:172
ٱلَّذِينَقَالَلَهُمُٱلنَّاسُإِنَّٱلنَّاسَقَدْجَمَعُوا۟لَكُمْفَٱخْشَوْهُمْفَزَادَهُمْإِيمَـٰنًۭاوَقَالُوا۟حَسْبُنَاٱللَّهُوَنِعْمَٱلْوَكِيلُ
l-wakīluwaniʿ'mal-lahuḥasbunāwaqālūīmānanfazādahumfa-ikh'shawhumlakumjamaʿūqadl-nāsainnal-nāsulahumuqālaalladhīna
Those whosaidto them[the people]Indeedthe people(have) certainlygatheredagainst youso fear themBut it increased them(in) faithand they saidSufficient for us(is) Allahand (He is the) best[the] Disposer of affairs
3:173
فَٱنقَلَبُوا۟بِنِعْمَةٍۢمِّنَٱللَّهِوَفَضْلٍۢلَّمْيَمْسَسْهُمْسُوٓءٌۭوَٱتَّبَعُوا۟رِضْوَٰنَٱللَّهِ ۗوَٱللَّهُذُوفَضْلٍعَظِيمٍ
ʿaẓīminfaḍlindhūwal-lahul-lahiriḍ'wānawa-ittabaʿūsūonyamsashumlamwafaḍlinl-lahiminabiniʿ'matinfa-inqalabū
So they returnedwith (the) FavorofAllahand Bountynottouched themany harmAnd they followed(the) pleasure(of) Allahand Allah(is) Possessor(of) Bountygreat
3:174
إِنَّمَاذَٰلِكُمُٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُيُخَوِّفُأَوْلِيَآءَهُۥفَلَاتَخَافُوهُمْوَخَافُونِإِنكُنتُممُّؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnakuntuminwakhāfūnitakhāfūhumfalāawliyāahuyukhawwiful-shayṭānudhālikumuinnamā
(It is) onlythatthe Shaitaanfrightens (you)(of) his alliesSo (do) notfear thembut fear Meifyou arebelievers
3:175
وَلَايَحْزُنكَٱلَّذِينَيُسَـٰرِعُونَفِىٱلْكُفْرِ ۚإِنَّهُمْلَنيَضُرُّوا۟ٱللَّهَشَيْـًۭٔا ۗيُرِيدُٱللَّهُأَلَّايَجْعَلَلَهُمْحَظًّۭافِىٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۖوَلَهُمْعَذَابٌعَظِيمٌ
ʿaẓīmunʿadhābunwalahuml-ākhiratifīḥaẓẓanlahumyajʿalaallāl-lahuyurīdushayanl-lahayaḍurrūlaninnahuml-kuf'rifīyusāriʿūnaalladhīnayaḥzunkawalā
And (let) notgrieve youthose whohastenin(to)[the] disbeliefIndeed, theyneverwill harmAllah(in) anythingintendsAllahthat notHe will setfor themany portioninthe HereafterAnd for them(is) a punishmentgreat
3:176
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَٱشْتَرَوُا۟ٱلْكُفْرَبِٱلْإِيمَـٰنِلَنيَضُرُّوا۟ٱللَّهَشَيْـًۭٔاوَلَهُمْعَذَابٌأَلِيمٌۭ
alīmunʿadhābunwalahumshayanl-lahayaḍurrūlanbil-īmānil-kuf'raish'tarawūalladhīnainna
Indeedthose who(have) purchased[the] disbeliefwith the faithneverwill they harmAllah(in) anythingand for them(is) a punishmentpainful
3:177
وَلَايَحْسَبَنَّٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوٓا۟أَنَّمَانُمْلِىلَهُمْخَيْرٌۭلِّأَنفُسِهِمْ ۚإِنَّمَانُمْلِىلَهُمْلِيَزْدَادُوٓا۟إِثْمًۭا ۚوَلَهُمْعَذَابٌۭمُّهِينٌۭ
muhīnunʿadhābunwalahumith'manliyazdādūlahumnum'līinnamāli-anfusihimkhayrunlahumnum'līannamākafarūalladhīnayaḥsabannawalā
And (let) notthinkthose whodisbelievedthatWe give respiteto them(is) goodfor themselvesOnlyWe give respiteto themso that they may increase(in) sinsand for them(is) a punishmenthumiliating
3:178
مَّاكَانَٱللَّهُلِيَذَرَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَعَلَىٰمَآأَنتُمْعَلَيْهِحَتَّىٰيَمِيزَٱلْخَبِيثَمِنَٱلطَّيِّبِ ۗوَمَاكَانَٱللَّهُلِيُطْلِعَكُمْعَلَىٱلْغَيْبِوَلَـٰكِنَّٱللَّهَيَجْتَبِىمِنرُّسُلِهِۦمَنيَشَآءُ ۖفَـَٔامِنُوا۟بِٱللَّهِوَرُسُلِهِۦ ۚوَإِنتُؤْمِنُوا۟وَتَتَّقُوا۟فَلَكُمْأَجْرٌعَظِيمٌۭ
ʿaẓīmunajrunfalakumwatattaqūtu'minūwa-inwarusulihibil-lahifaāminūyashāumanrusulihiminyajtabīl-lahawalākinnal-ghaybiʿalāliyuṭ'liʿakuml-lahukānawamāl-ṭayibiminal-khabīthayamīzaḥattāʿalayhiantummāʿalāl-mu'minīnaliyadharal-lahukānamā
NotisAllahto leavethe believersonwhatyou (are)in [it]untilHe separatesthe evilfromthe goodAnd notisAllahto inform youaboutthe unseen[and] butAllahchoosesfromHis MessengerswhomHe willsso believein Allahand His Messengersand ifyou believeand fear (Allah)then for you(is a) rewardgreat
3:179
وَلَايَحْسَبَنَّٱلَّذِينَيَبْخَلُونَبِمَآءَاتَىٰهُمُٱللَّهُمِنفَضْلِهِۦهُوَخَيْرًۭالَّهُم ۖبَلْهُوَشَرٌّۭلَّهُمْ ۖسَيُطَوَّقُونَمَابَخِلُوا۟بِهِۦيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۗوَلِلَّهِمِيرَٰثُٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۗوَٱللَّهُبِمَاتَعْمَلُونَخَبِيرٌۭ
khabīruntaʿmalūnabimāwal-lahuwal-arḍil-samāwātimīrāthuwalillahil-qiyāmatiyawmabihibakhilūmāsayuṭawwaqūnalahumsharrunhuwaballahumkhayranhuwafaḍlihiminl-lahuātāhumubimāyabkhalūnaalladhīnayaḥsabannawalā
And (let) notthinkthose whowithholdof what(has) given themAllahofHis Bounty(that) it(is) goodfor themNayit(is) badfor themTheir necks will be encircled(with) whatthey withheld[with it](on the) Day(of) [the] ResurrectionAnd for Allah(is the) heritage(of) the heavensand the earthAnd Allahwith whatyou do(is) All-Aware
3:180
لَّقَدْسَمِعَٱللَّهُقَوْلَٱلَّذِينَقَالُوٓا۟إِنَّٱللَّهَفَقِيرٌۭوَنَحْنُأَغْنِيَآءُ ۘسَنَكْتُبُمَاقَالُوا۟وَقَتْلَهُمُٱلْأَنۢبِيَآءَبِغَيْرِحَقٍّۢوَنَقُولُذُوقُوا۟عَذَابَٱلْحَرِيقِ
l-ḥarīqiʿadhābadhūqūwanaqūluḥaqqinbighayril-anbiyāawaqatlahumuqālūmāsanaktubuaghniyāuwanaḥnufaqīrunl-lahainnaqālūalladhīnaqawlal-lahusamiʿalaqad
CertainlyheardAllah(the) saying(of) those whosaidIndeedAllah(is) poorwhile we(are) richWe will recordwhatthey saidand their killingthe Prophetswithout(any) rightand We will sayTaste(the) punishment(of) the Burning Fire
3:181
ذَٰلِكَبِمَاقَدَّمَتْأَيْدِيكُمْوَأَنَّٱللَّهَلَيْسَبِظَلَّامٍۢلِّلْعَبِيدِ
lil'ʿabīdibiẓallāminlaysal-lahawa-annaaydīkumqaddamatbimādhālika
That(is) because(of what) sent forthyour handsand thatAllahis notunjustto (His) slaves
3:182
ٱلَّذِينَقَالُوٓا۟إِنَّٱللَّهَعَهِدَإِلَيْنَآأَلَّانُؤْمِنَلِرَسُولٍحَتَّىٰيَأْتِيَنَابِقُرْبَانٍۢتَأْكُلُهُٱلنَّارُ ۗقُلْقَدْجَآءَكُمْرُسُلٌۭمِّنقَبْلِىبِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِوَبِٱلَّذِىقُلْتُمْفَلِمَقَتَلْتُمُوهُمْإِنكُنتُمْصَـٰدِقِينَ
ṣādiqīnakuntuminqataltumūhumfalimaqul'tumwabi-alladhībil-bayinātiqablīminrusulunjāakumqadqull-nārutakuluhubiqur'bāninyatiyanāḥattālirasūlinnu'minaallāilaynāʿahidal-lahainnaqālūalladhīna
Those whosaidIndeedAllah(has) taken promisefrom usthat notwe (should) believein a Messengeruntilhe brings to usa sacrifice consumes itthe fireSaySurelycame to youMessengersfrombefore mewith the clear Signsand with whatyou speakSo whyyou killed themifyou aretruthful
3:183
فَإِنكَذَّبُوكَفَقَدْكُذِّبَرُسُلٌۭمِّنقَبْلِكَجَآءُوبِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِوَٱلزُّبُرِوَٱلْكِتَـٰبِٱلْمُنِيرِ
l-munīriwal-kitābiwal-zuburibil-bayinātijāūqablikaminrusulunkudhibafaqadkadhabūkafa-in
Then ifthey reject youthen certainlywere rejectedMessengersfrombefore you(who) camewith the clear Signsand the Scripturesand the Book [the] Enlightening
3:184
كُلُّنَفْسٍۢذَآئِقَةُٱلْمَوْتِ ۗوَإِنَّمَاتُوَفَّوْنَأُجُورَكُمْيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۖفَمَنزُحْزِحَعَنِٱلنَّارِوَأُدْخِلَٱلْجَنَّةَفَقَدْفَازَ ۗوَمَاٱلْحَيَوٰةُٱلدُّنْيَآإِلَّامَتَـٰعُٱلْغُرُورِ
l-ghurūrimatāʿuillāl-dun'yāl-ḥayatuwamāfāzafaqadl-janatawa-ud'khilal-nāriʿanizuḥ'ziḥafamanl-qiyāmatiyawmaujūrakumtuwaffawnawa-innamāl-mawtidhāiqatunafsinkullu
Everysoul(will) taste[the] deathand onlyyou will be paid in fullyour reward(on the) Day(of) [the] ResurrectionThen whoeveris drawn awayfromthe Fireand admitted(to) Paradisethen surelyhe is successfulAnd not(is) the life(of) the worldexceptenjoyment(of) delusion
3:185
۞ لَتُبْلَوُنَّفِىٓأَمْوَٰلِكُمْوَأَنفُسِكُمْوَلَتَسْمَعُنَّمِنَٱلَّذِينَأُوتُوا۟ٱلْكِتَـٰبَمِنقَبْلِكُمْوَمِنَٱلَّذِينَأَشْرَكُوٓا۟أَذًۭىكَثِيرًۭا ۚوَإِنتَصْبِرُوا۟وَتَتَّقُوا۟فَإِنَّذَٰلِكَمِنْعَزْمِٱلْأُمُورِ
l-umūriʿazmimindhālikafa-innawatattaqūtaṣbirūwa-inkathīranadhanashrakūalladhīnawaminaqablikumminl-kitābaūtūalladhīnaminawalatasmaʿunnawa-anfusikumamwālikumfīlatub'lawunna
You will certainly be testedinyour wealthand yourselvesAnd you will certainly hearfromthose whowere giventhe Bookfrombefore youand fromthose whoassociate partners with Allah hurtful thingsmanyand ifyou are patientand fear (Allah)then indeedthat(is) ofthe matters(of) determination
3:186
وَإِذْأَخَذَٱللَّهُمِيثَـٰقَٱلَّذِينَأُوتُوا۟ٱلْكِتَـٰبَلَتُبَيِّنُنَّهُۥلِلنَّاسِوَلَاتَكْتُمُونَهُۥفَنَبَذُوهُوَرَآءَظُهُورِهِمْوَٱشْتَرَوْا۟بِهِۦثَمَنًۭاقَلِيلًۭا ۖفَبِئْسَمَايَشْتَرُونَ
yashtarūnamāfabi'saqalīlanthamananbihiwa-ish'tarawẓuhūrihimwarāafanabadhūhutaktumūnahuwalālilnnāsilatubayyinunnahul-kitābaūtūalladhīnamīthāqal-lahuakhadhawa-idh
And whentookAllaha Covenant(from) those whowere giventhe BookYou certainly make it clearto the mankindand (do) notconceal itThen they threw itbehindtheir backsand they exchanged[with] it(for) a pricelittleAnd wretched(is) whatthey purchase
3:187
لَاتَحْسَبَنَّٱلَّذِينَيَفْرَحُونَبِمَآأَتَوا۟وَّيُحِبُّونَأَنيُحْمَدُوا۟بِمَالَمْيَفْعَلُوا۟فَلَاتَحْسَبَنَّهُمبِمَفَازَةٍۢمِّنَٱلْعَذَابِ ۖوَلَهُمْعَذَابٌأَلِيمٌۭ
alīmunʿadhābunwalahuml-ʿadhābiminabimafāzatintaḥsabannahumfalāyafʿalūlambimāyuḥ'madūanwayuḥibbūnaatawbimāyafraḥūnaalladhīnataḥsabannalā
(Do) notthink(that) those whorejoicein what(they have) broughtand they lovethatthey be praisedfor whatnotthey do so (do) notthink (that) they(will) escapefromthe punishmentand for them(is a) punishmentpainful
3:188
وَلِلَّهِمُلْكُٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۗوَٱللَّهُعَلَىٰكُلِّشَىْءٍۢقَدِيرٌ
qadīrunshayinkulliʿalāwal-lahuwal-arḍil-samāwātimul'kuwalillahi
And for Allah(is the) dominion(of) the heavensand the earthand Allah(is) oneverythingAll-Powerful
3:189
إِنَّفِىخَلْقِٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِوَٱخْتِلَـٰفِٱلَّيْلِوَٱلنَّهَارِلَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢلِّأُو۟لِىٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ
l-albābili-ulīlaāyātinwal-nahārial-layliwa-ikh'tilāfiwal-arḍil-samāwātikhalqifīinna
Indeedin(the) creation(of) the heavensand the earthand (in the) alternation(of) the nightand the day(are) surely Signsfor men(of) understanding
3:190
ٱلَّذِينَيَذْكُرُونَٱللَّهَقِيَـٰمًۭاوَقُعُودًۭاوَعَلَىٰجُنُوبِهِمْوَيَتَفَكَّرُونَفِىخَلْقِٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِرَبَّنَامَاخَلَقْتَهَـٰذَابَـٰطِلًۭاسُبْحَـٰنَكَفَقِنَاعَذَابَٱلنَّارِ
l-nāriʿadhābafaqināsub'ḥānakabāṭilanhādhākhalaqtamārabbanāwal-arḍil-samāwātikhalqifīwayatafakkarūnajunūbihimwaʿalāwaquʿūdanqiyāmanl-lahayadhkurūnaalladhīna
Those whorememberAllahstandingand sittingand ontheir sidesand they reflecton(the) creation(of) the heavensand the earthOur LordnotYou have createdthis(in) vainGlory be to Youso save us(from the) punishment(of) the Fire
3:191
رَبَّنَآإِنَّكَمَنتُدْخِلِٱلنَّارَفَقَدْأَخْزَيْتَهُۥ ۖوَمَالِلظَّـٰلِمِينَمِنْأَنصَارٍۢ
anṣārinminlilẓẓālimīnawamāakhzaytahufaqadl-nāratud'khilimaninnakarabbanā
Our Lordindeed [You]whomYou admit(to) the Firethen surelyYou (have) disgraced himand notfor the wrongdoers(are) anyhelpers
3:192
رَّبَّنَآإِنَّنَاسَمِعْنَامُنَادِيًۭايُنَادِىلِلْإِيمَـٰنِأَنْءَامِنُوا۟بِرَبِّكُمْفَـَٔامَنَّا ۚرَبَّنَافَٱغْفِرْلَنَاذُنُوبَنَاوَكَفِّرْعَنَّاسَيِّـَٔاتِنَاوَتَوَفَّنَامَعَٱلْأَبْرَارِ
l-abrārimaʿawatawaffanāsayyiātināʿannāwakaffirdhunūbanālanāfa-igh'firrabbanāfaāmannābirabbikumāminūanlil'īmāniyunādīmunādiyansamiʿ'nāinnanārabbanā
Our Lordindeed we[we] hearda callercallingto the faiththatBelievein your Lordso we have believedOur Lordso forgivefor usour sinsand removefrom usour evil deedsand cause us to diewiththe righteous
3:193
رَبَّنَاوَءَاتِنَامَاوَعَدتَّنَاعَلَىٰرُسُلِكَوَلَاتُخْزِنَايَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۗإِنَّكَلَاتُخْلِفُٱلْمِيعَادَ
l-mīʿādatukh'lifulāinnakal-qiyāmatiyawmatukh'zināwalārusulikaʿalāwaʿadttanāmāwaātinārabbanā
Our Lordgrant uswhatYou promised usthroughYour Messengersand (do) notdisgrace us(on the) Day(of) [the] ResurrectionIndeed, You(do) notbreakthe promise
3:194
فَٱسْتَجَابَلَهُمْرَبُّهُمْأَنِّىلَآأُضِيعُعَمَلَعَـٰمِلٍۢمِّنكُممِّنذَكَرٍأَوْأُنثَىٰ ۖبَعْضُكُممِّنۢبَعْضٍۢ ۖفَٱلَّذِينَهَاجَرُوا۟وَأُخْرِجُوا۟مِندِيَـٰرِهِمْوَأُوذُوا۟فِىسَبِيلِىوَقَـٰتَلُوا۟وَقُتِلُوا۟لَأُكَفِّرَنَّعَنْهُمْسَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْوَلَأُدْخِلَنَّهُمْجَنَّـٰتٍۢتَجْرِىمِنتَحْتِهَاٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُثَوَابًۭامِّنْعِندِٱللَّهِ ۗوَٱللَّهُعِندَهُۥحُسْنُٱلثَّوَابِ
l-thawābiḥus'nuʿindahuwal-lahul-lahiʿindiminthawābanl-anhārutaḥtihāmintajrījannātinwala-ud'khilannahumsayyiātihimʿanhumla-ukaffirannawaqutilūwaqātalūsabīlīfīwaūdhūdiyārihimminwa-ukh'rijūhājarūfa-alladhīnabaʿḍinminbaʿḍukumunthāawdhakarinminminkumʿāmilinʿamalauḍīʿulāannīrabbuhumlahumfa-is'tajāba
Then respondedto themtheir LordIndeed, I(will) not(let go) wastedeeds(of the) doeramong you[from](whether) maleorfemaleeach of youfrom(the) otherSo those whoemigratedand were driven outfromtheir homesand were harmedinMy wayand foughtand were killed surely I (will) removefrom themtheir evil deedsand surely I will admit them(to) Gardensflowingfromunderneath themthe rivers a rewardfrom[near]AllahAnd Allah with Him(is the) bestreward
3:195
لَايَغُرَّنَّكَتَقَلُّبُٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟فِىٱلْبِلَـٰدِ
l-bilādifīkafarūalladhīnataqallubuyaghurrannakalā
(Let) notdeceive you(the) movement(of) those whodisbelievedinthe land
3:196
مَتَـٰعٌۭقَلِيلٌۭثُمَّمَأْوَىٰهُمْجَهَنَّمُ ۚوَبِئْسَٱلْمِهَادُ
l-mihāduwabi'sajahannamumawāhumthummaqalīlunmatāʿun
An enjoymentlittlethentheir abode(is) hell [and] a wretched[the] resting place
3:197
لَـٰكِنِٱلَّذِينَٱتَّقَوْا۟رَبَّهُمْلَهُمْجَنَّـٰتٌۭتَجْرِىمِنتَحْتِهَاٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُخَـٰلِدِينَفِيهَانُزُلًۭامِّنْعِندِٱللَّهِ ۗوَمَاعِندَٱللَّهِخَيْرٌۭلِّلْأَبْرَارِ
lil'abrārikhayrunl-lahiʿindawamāl-lahiʿindiminnuzulanfīhākhālidīnal-anhārutaḥtihāmintajrījannātunlahumrabbahumittaqawalladhīnalākini
Butthose whofeartheir Lordfor them(will be) Gardensflowsfromunderneath themthe riverswill abide foreverin it a hospitalityfrom[near]AllahAnd what(is) withAllah(is) bestfor the righteous
3:198
وَإِنَّمِنْأَهْلِٱلْكِتَـٰبِلَمَنيُؤْمِنُبِٱللَّهِوَمَآأُنزِلَإِلَيْكُمْوَمَآأُنزِلَإِلَيْهِمْخَـٰشِعِينَلِلَّهِلَايَشْتَرُونَبِـَٔايَـٰتِٱللَّهِثَمَنًۭاقَلِيلًا ۗأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَلَهُمْأَجْرُهُمْعِندَرَبِّهِمْ ۗإِنَّٱللَّهَسَرِيعُٱلْحِسَابِ
l-ḥisābisarīʿul-lahainnarabbihimʿindaajruhumlahumulāikaqalīlanthamananl-lahibiāyātiyashtarūnalālillahikhāshiʿīnailayhimunzilawamāilaykumunzilawamābil-lahiyu'minulamanl-kitābiahliminwa-inna
And indeedamong(the) People(of) the Book(are those) whobelievein Allahand whatwas revealedto youand whatwas revealedto them humbly submissiveto AllahNot(do) they exchange[with] (the) Verses(of) Allah(for) a pricelittleThosefor themtheir reward(is) withtheir LordIndeedAllah(is) swift(in taking) the account
3:199
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟ٱصْبِرُوا۟وَصَابِرُوا۟وَرَابِطُوا۟وَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَلَعَلَّكُمْتُفْلِحُونَ
tuf'liḥūnalaʿallakuml-lahawa-ittaqūwarābiṭūwaṣābirūiṣ'birūāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieve[d]Be steadfastand [be] patientand [be] constantand fearAllahso that you may(be) successful
3:200
Basmala
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلنَّاسُٱتَّقُوا۟رَبَّكُمُٱلَّذِىخَلَقَكُممِّننَّفْسٍۢوَٰحِدَةٍۢوَخَلَقَمِنْهَازَوْجَهَاوَبَثَّمِنْهُمَارِجَالًۭاكَثِيرًۭاوَنِسَآءًۭ ۚوَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَٱلَّذِىتَسَآءَلُونَبِهِۦوَٱلْأَرْحَامَ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَكَانَعَلَيْكُمْرَقِيبًۭا
raqībanʿalaykumkānal-lahainnawal-arḥāmabihitasāalūnaalladhīl-lahawa-ittaqūwanisāankathīranrijālanmin'humāwabathazawjahāmin'hāwakhalaqawāḥidatinnafsinminkhalaqakumalladhīrabbakumuittaqūl-nāsuyāayyuhā
OmankindFearyour Lordthe One Whocreated youfroma soulsingleand createdfrom itits mateand dispersedfrom both of themmenmanyand womenAnd fearAllah(through) Whomyou ask[with it]and the wombsIndeedAllahisover youEver-Watchful
4:1
وَءَاتُوا۟ٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰٓأَمْوَٰلَهُمْ ۖوَلَاتَتَبَدَّلُوا۟ٱلْخَبِيثَبِٱلطَّيِّبِ ۖوَلَاتَأْكُلُوٓا۟أَمْوَٰلَهُمْإِلَىٰٓأَمْوَٰلِكُمْ ۚإِنَّهُۥكَانَحُوبًۭاكَبِيرًۭا
kabīranḥūbankānainnahuamwālikumilāamwālahumtakulūwalābil-ṭayibil-khabīthatatabaddalūwalāamwālahuml-yatāmāwaātū
And give(to) the orphanstheir wealthand (do) notexchangethe badwith the goodand (do) notconsumetheir wealthwithyour wealthIndeed, itisa singreat
4:2
وَإِنْخِفْتُمْأَلَّاتُقْسِطُوا۟فِىٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰفَٱنكِحُوا۟مَاطَابَلَكُممِّنَٱلنِّسَآءِمَثْنَىٰوَثُلَـٰثَوَرُبَـٰعَ ۖفَإِنْخِفْتُمْأَلَّاتَعْدِلُوا۟فَوَٰحِدَةًأَوْمَامَلَكَتْأَيْمَـٰنُكُمْ ۚذَٰلِكَأَدْنَىٰٓأَلَّاتَعُولُوا۟
taʿūlūallāadnādhālikaaymānukummalakatmāawfawāḥidatantaʿdilūallākhif'tumfa-inwarubāʿawathulāthamathnāl-nisāiminalakumṭābamāfa-inkiḥūl-yatāmāfītuq'siṭūallākhif'tumwa-in
And ifyou fearthat notyou will be able to do justicewiththe orphansthen marrywhatseems suitableto youfromthe womentwoor threeor fourBut ifyou fearthat notyou can do justicethen (marry) oneorwhatpossessesyour right handThat(is) more appropriatethat (may) notyou oppress
4:3
وَءَاتُوا۟ٱلنِّسَآءَصَدُقَـٰتِهِنَّنِحْلَةًۭ ۚفَإِنطِبْنَلَكُمْعَنشَىْءٍۢمِّنْهُنَفْسًۭافَكُلُوهُهَنِيٓـًۭٔامَّرِيٓـًۭٔا
marīanhanīanfakulūhunafsanmin'hushayinʿanlakumṭib'nafa-inniḥ'latanṣaduqātihinnal-nisāawaātū
And givethe womentheir dowergraciouslyBut ifthey remitto youofanythingof it(on their) ownthen eat it(in) satisfaction(and) ease
4:4
وَلَاتُؤْتُوا۟ٱلسُّفَهَآءَأَمْوَٰلَكُمُٱلَّتِىجَعَلَٱللَّهُلَكُمْقِيَـٰمًۭاوَٱرْزُقُوهُمْفِيهَاوَٱكْسُوهُمْوَقُولُوا۟لَهُمْقَوْلًۭامَّعْرُوفًۭا
maʿrūfanqawlanlahumwaqūlūwa-ik'sūhumfīhāwa-ur'zuqūhumqiyāmanlakuml-lahujaʿalaallatīamwālakumul-sufahāatu'tūwalā
And (do) notgivethe foolishyour wealthwhich(was) made(by) Allahfor youa means of support(but) provide (for) themwith itand clothe themand speakto themwords(of) kindness
4:5
وَٱبْتَلُوا۟ٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰحَتَّىٰٓإِذَابَلَغُوا۟ٱلنِّكَاحَفَإِنْءَانَسْتُممِّنْهُمْرُشْدًۭافَٱدْفَعُوٓا۟إِلَيْهِمْأَمْوَٰلَهُمْ ۖوَلَاتَأْكُلُوهَآإِسْرَافًۭاوَبِدَارًاأَنيَكْبَرُوا۟ ۚوَمَنكَانَغَنِيًّۭافَلْيَسْتَعْفِفْ ۖوَمَنكَانَفَقِيرًۭافَلْيَأْكُلْبِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ ۚفَإِذَادَفَعْتُمْإِلَيْهِمْأَمْوَٰلَهُمْفَأَشْهِدُوا۟عَلَيْهِمْ ۚوَكَفَىٰبِٱللَّهِحَسِيبًۭا
ḥasībanbil-lahiwakafāʿalayhimfa-ashhidūamwālahumilayhimdafaʿtumfa-idhābil-maʿrūfifalyakulfaqīrankānawamanfalyastaʿfifghaniyyankānawamanyakbarūanwabidāranis'rāfantakulūhāwalāamwālahumilayhimfa-id'faʿūrush'danmin'humānastumfa-inl-nikāḥabalaghūidhāḥattāl-yatāmāwa-ib'talū
And testthe orphansuntil[when]they reach[ed](the age of) marriagethen ifyou perceivein themsound judgementthen deliverto themtheir wealthAnd (do) noteat itextravagantlyand hastily(fearing) thatthey will grow upAnd whoeverisrichthen he should refrainand whoeverispoorthen let him eat (of it)in a fair mannerThen whenyou deliverto themtheir wealththen take witnesseson themAnd is sufficientAllah(as) a Reckoner
4:6
لِّلرِّجَالِنَصِيبٌۭمِّمَّاتَرَكَٱلْوَٰلِدَانِوَٱلْأَقْرَبُونَوَلِلنِّسَآءِنَصِيبٌۭمِّمَّاتَرَكَٱلْوَٰلِدَانِوَٱلْأَقْرَبُونَمِمَّاقَلَّمِنْهُأَوْكَثُرَ ۚنَصِيبًۭامَّفْرُوضًۭا
mafrūḍannaṣībankathuraawmin'huqallamimmāwal-aqrabūnal-wālidānitarakamimmānaṣībunwalilnnisāiwal-aqrabūnal-wālidānitarakamimmānaṣībunlilrrijāli
For the mena portionof what(is) left(by) the parentsand the near relativesand for the womena portionof what(is) left(by) parentsand the near relativesof what(is) littleof itormuch a portionobligatory
4:7
وَإِذَاحَضَرَٱلْقِسْمَةَأُو۟لُوا۟ٱلْقُرْبَىٰوَٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰوَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينُفَٱرْزُقُوهُممِّنْهُوَقُولُوا۟لَهُمْقَوْلًۭامَّعْرُوفًۭا
maʿrūfanqawlanlahumwaqūlūmin'hufa-ur'zuqūhumwal-masākīnuwal-yatāmāl-qur'bāulūl-qis'mataḥaḍarawa-idhā
And whenpresent(at) the (time of) division(of)the relativesand the orphansand the poorthen provide themfrom itand speakto themwords(of) kindness
4:8
وَلْيَخْشَٱلَّذِينَلَوْتَرَكُوا۟مِنْخَلْفِهِمْذُرِّيَّةًۭضِعَـٰفًاخَافُوا۟عَلَيْهِمْفَلْيَتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَلْيَقُولُوا۟قَوْلًۭاسَدِيدًا
sadīdanqawlanwalyaqūlūl-lahafalyattaqūʿalayhimkhāfūḍiʿāfandhurriyyatankhalfihimmintarakūlawalladhīnawalyakhsha
And let fear those whoifthey leftfrombehindoffspringweak(and) they would have fearedabout themSo let them fearAllahand let them speakwordsappropriate
4:9
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَيَأْكُلُونَأَمْوَٰلَٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰظُلْمًاإِنَّمَايَأْكُلُونَفِىبُطُونِهِمْنَارًۭا ۖوَسَيَصْلَوْنَسَعِيرًۭا
saʿīranwasayaṣlawnanāranbuṭūnihimfīyakulūnainnamāẓul'manl-yatāmāamwālayakulūnaalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whoconsumewealth(of) the orphanswrongfullyonlythey consumeintheir belliesfireand they will be burned(in) a Blazing Fire
4:10
يُوصِيكُمُٱللَّهُفِىٓأَوْلَـٰدِكُمْ ۖلِلذَّكَرِمِثْلُحَظِّٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ ۚفَإِنكُنَّنِسَآءًۭفَوْقَٱثْنَتَيْنِفَلَهُنَّثُلُثَامَاتَرَكَ ۖوَإِنكَانَتْوَٰحِدَةًۭفَلَهَاٱلنِّصْفُ ۚوَلِأَبَوَيْهِلِكُلِّوَٰحِدٍۢمِّنْهُمَاٱلسُّدُسُمِمَّاتَرَكَإِنكَانَلَهُۥوَلَدٌۭ ۚفَإِنلَّمْيَكُنلَّهُۥوَلَدٌۭوَوَرِثَهُۥٓأَبَوَاهُفَلِأُمِّهِٱلثُّلُثُ ۚفَإِنكَانَلَهُۥٓإِخْوَةٌۭفَلِأُمِّهِٱلسُّدُسُ ۚمِنۢبَعْدِوَصِيَّةٍۢيُوصِىبِهَآأَوْدَيْنٍ ۗءَابَآؤُكُمْوَأَبْنَآؤُكُمْلَاتَدْرُونَأَيُّهُمْأَقْرَبُلَكُمْنَفْعًۭا ۚفَرِيضَةًۭمِّنَٱللَّهِ ۗإِنَّٱللَّهَكَانَعَلِيمًاحَكِيمًۭا
ḥakīmanʿalīmankānal-lahainnal-lahiminafarīḍatannafʿanlakumaqrabuayyuhumtadrūnalāwa-abnāukumābāukumdayninawbihāyūṣīwaṣiyyatinbaʿdiminl-sudusufali-ummihiikh'watunlahukānafa-inl-thuluthufali-ummihiabawāhuwawarithahuwaladunlahuyakunlamfa-inwaladunlahukānaintarakamimmāl-sudusumin'humāwāḥidinlikulliwali-abawayhil-niṣ'fufalahāwāḥidatankānatwa-intarakamāthuluthāfalahunnaith'nataynifawqanisāankunnafa-inl-unthayayniḥaẓẓimith'lulildhakariawlādikumfīl-lahuyūṣīkumu
Instructs youAllahconcerningyour children for the malelike(the) portion(of) two femalesBut ifthere are(only) womenmore (than)twothen for themtwo thirds(of) whathe leftAnd if(there) is(only) onethen for her(is) halfAnd for his parentsfor eachoneof thema sixthof what(is) leftifisfor hima childBut ifnotisfor himany childand inherit[ed] himhis parentsthen for his mother(is) one thirdAnd ifarefor himbrothers and sistersthen for his mother(is) the sixthfromafterany willhe has made[of which]orany debtYour parentsand your children notyou knowwhich of them(is) nearerto you(in) benefitAn obligationfromAllahIndeedAllahisAll-KnowingAll-Wise
4:11
۞ وَلَكُمْنِصْفُمَاتَرَكَأَزْوَٰجُكُمْإِنلَّمْيَكُنلَّهُنَّوَلَدٌۭ ۚفَإِنكَانَلَهُنَّوَلَدٌۭفَلَكُمُٱلرُّبُعُمِمَّاتَرَكْنَ ۚمِنۢبَعْدِوَصِيَّةٍۢيُوصِينَبِهَآأَوْدَيْنٍۢ ۚوَلَهُنَّٱلرُّبُعُمِمَّاتَرَكْتُمْإِنلَّمْيَكُنلَّكُمْوَلَدٌۭ ۚفَإِنكَانَلَكُمْوَلَدٌۭفَلَهُنَّٱلثُّمُنُمِمَّاتَرَكْتُم ۚمِّنۢبَعْدِوَصِيَّةٍۢتُوصُونَبِهَآأَوْدَيْنٍۢ ۗوَإِنكَانَرَجُلٌۭيُورَثُكَلَـٰلَةًأَوِٱمْرَأَةٌۭوَلَهُۥٓأَخٌأَوْأُخْتٌۭفَلِكُلِّوَٰحِدٍۢمِّنْهُمَاٱلسُّدُسُ ۚفَإِنكَانُوٓا۟أَكْثَرَمِنذَٰلِكَفَهُمْشُرَكَآءُفِىٱلثُّلُثِ ۚمِنۢبَعْدِوَصِيَّةٍۢيُوصَىٰبِهَآأَوْدَيْنٍغَيْرَمُضَآرٍّۢ ۚوَصِيَّةًۭمِّنَٱللَّهِ ۗوَٱللَّهُعَلِيمٌحَلِيمٌۭ
ḥalīmunʿalīmunwal-lahul-lahiminawaṣiyyatanmuḍārringhayradayninawbihāyūṣāwaṣiyyatinbaʿdiminl-thuluthifīshurakāufahumdhālikaminaktharakānūfa-inl-sudusumin'humāwāḥidinfalikulliukh'tunawakhunwalahuim'ra-atunawikalālatanyūrathurajulunkānawa-indayninawbihātūṣūnawaṣiyyatinbaʿdimintaraktummimmāl-thumunufalahunnawaladunlakumkānafa-inwaladunlakumyakunlamintaraktummimmāl-rubuʿuwalahunnadayninawbihāyūṣīnawaṣiyyatinbaʿdimintaraknamimmāl-rubuʿufalakumuwaladunlahunnakānafa-inwaladunlahunnayakunlaminazwājukumtarakamāniṣ'fuwalakum
And for you(is) half(of) what(is) leftby your wivesifnotisfor thema childBut ifisfor thema childthen for you(is) the fourthof whatthey leftfromafterany willthey have made[for which]orany debtAnd for them(is) the fourthof whatyou leftifnotisfor youa childBut ifisfor youa childthen for them(is) the eighthof whatyou leftfromafterany willyou have made[for which]orany debtAnd if[is]a man(whose wealth) is to be inherited(has) no parent or childora womenand for him(is) a brotherora sisterthen for eachoneof (the) two(is) the sixthBut ifthey aremorethanthatthen they(are) partnersinthe thirdfromafterany willwas made[for which]orany debtwithout(being) harmfulAn ordinancefromAllahAnd Allah(is) All-KnowingAll-Forbearing
4:12
تِلْكَحُدُودُٱللَّهِ ۚوَمَنيُطِعِٱللَّهَوَرَسُولَهُۥيُدْخِلْهُجَنَّـٰتٍۢتَجْرِىمِنتَحْتِهَاٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُخَـٰلِدِينَفِيهَا ۚوَذَٰلِكَٱلْفَوْزُٱلْعَظِيمُ
l-ʿaẓīmul-fawzuwadhālikafīhākhālidīnal-anhārutaḥtihāmintajrījannātinyud'khil'huwarasūlahul-lahayuṭiʿiwamanl-lahiḥudūdutil'ka
These(are the) limits(of) Allahand whoeverobeysAllahand His MessengerHe will admit him(to) Gardensflowsfromunderneath themthe rivers (will) abide foreverin itAnd that(is) the success[the] great
4:13
وَمَنيَعْصِٱللَّهَوَرَسُولَهُۥوَيَتَعَدَّحُدُودَهُۥيُدْخِلْهُنَارًاخَـٰلِدًۭافِيهَاوَلَهُۥعَذَابٌۭمُّهِينٌۭ
muhīnunʿadhābunwalahufīhākhālidannāranyud'khil'huḥudūdahuwayataʿaddawarasūlahul-lahayaʿṣiwaman
And whoeverdisobeysAllahand His Messengerand transgressesHis limits He will admit him(to) Fire(will) abide foreverin itAnd for him(is) a punishmenthumiliating
4:14
وَٱلَّـٰتِىيَأْتِينَٱلْفَـٰحِشَةَمِننِّسَآئِكُمْفَٱسْتَشْهِدُوا۟عَلَيْهِنَّأَرْبَعَةًۭمِّنكُمْ ۖفَإِنشَهِدُوا۟فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّفِىٱلْبُيُوتِحَتَّىٰيَتَوَفَّىٰهُنَّٱلْمَوْتُأَوْيَجْعَلَٱللَّهُلَهُنَّسَبِيلًۭا
sabīlanlahunnal-lahuyajʿalaawl-mawtuyatawaffāhunnaḥattāl-buyūtifīfa-amsikūhunnashahidūfa-inminkumarbaʿatanʿalayhinnafa-is'tashhidūnisāikumminl-fāḥishatayatīnawa-allātī
And those whocommit[the] immoralityfromyour womenthen call to witnessagainst themfouramong youAnd ifthey testifythen confine themintheir housesuntilcomes to them[the] deathormakesAllahfor thema way
4:15
وَٱلَّذَانِيَأْتِيَـٰنِهَامِنكُمْفَـَٔاذُوهُمَا ۖفَإِنتَابَاوَأَصْلَحَافَأَعْرِضُوا۟عَنْهُمَآ ۗإِنَّٱللَّهَكَانَتَوَّابًۭارَّحِيمًا
raḥīmantawwābankānal-lahainnaʿanhumāfa-aʿriḍūwa-aṣlaḥātābāfa-infaādhūhumāminkumyatiyānihāwa-alladhāni
And the two whocommit itamong youthen punish both of themBut ifthey repentand correct themselvesthen turn awayfrom both of themIndeedAllahisOft-ForgivingMost-Merciful
4:16
إِنَّمَاٱلتَّوْبَةُعَلَىٱللَّهِلِلَّذِينَيَعْمَلُونَٱلسُّوٓءَبِجَهَـٰلَةٍۢثُمَّيَتُوبُونَمِنقَرِيبٍۢفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَيَتُوبُٱللَّهُعَلَيْهِمْ ۗوَكَانَٱللَّهُعَلِيمًاحَكِيمًۭا
ḥakīmanʿalīmanl-lahuwakānaʿalayhiml-lahuyatūbufa-ulāikaqarībinminyatūbūnathummabijahālatinl-sūayaʿmalūnalilladhīnal-lahiʿalāl-tawbatuinnamā
Onlythe acceptance of repentancebyAllah(is) for those whodothe evilin ignorancethenthey repentfromsoon afterThen thosewill have forgiveness(from) Allahupon themand isAllahAll-KnowingAll-Wise
4:17
وَلَيْسَتِٱلتَّوْبَةُلِلَّذِينَيَعْمَلُونَٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِحَتَّىٰٓإِذَاحَضَرَأَحَدَهُمُٱلْمَوْتُقَالَإِنِّىتُبْتُٱلْـَٔـٰنَوَلَاٱلَّذِينَيَمُوتُونَوَهُمْكُفَّارٌ ۚأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَأَعْتَدْنَالَهُمْعَذَابًاأَلِيمًۭا
alīmanʿadhābanlahumaʿtadnāulāikakuffārunwahumyamūtūnaalladhīnawalāl-ānatub'tuinnīqālal-mawtuaḥadahumuḥaḍaraidhāḥattāl-sayiātiyaʿmalūnalilladhīnal-tawbatuwalaysati
And not(is) the acceptance of repentancefor those whodothe evil deedsuntilwhenapproachesone of them[the] deathhe saysIndeed Irepentnowand notthose whodiewhile they(are) disbelieversThose We have preparedfor thema punishmentpainful
4:18
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟لَايَحِلُّلَكُمْأَنتَرِثُوا۟ٱلنِّسَآءَكَرْهًۭا ۖوَلَاتَعْضُلُوهُنَّلِتَذْهَبُوا۟بِبَعْضِمَآءَاتَيْتُمُوهُنَّإِلَّآأَنيَأْتِينَبِفَـٰحِشَةٍۢمُّبَيِّنَةٍۢ ۚوَعَاشِرُوهُنَّبِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ ۚفَإِنكَرِهْتُمُوهُنَّفَعَسَىٰٓأَنتَكْرَهُوا۟شَيْـًۭٔاوَيَجْعَلَٱللَّهُفِيهِخَيْرًۭاكَثِيرًۭا
kathīrankhayranfīhil-lahuwayajʿalashayantakrahūanfaʿasākarih'tumūhunnafa-inbil-maʿrūfiwaʿāshirūhunnamubayyinatinbifāḥishatinyatīnaanillāātaytumūhunnamābibaʿḍilitadhhabūtaʿḍulūhunnawalākarhanl-nisāatarithūanlakumyaḥillulāāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieve[d]Not(is) lawfulfor youthatyou inheritthe women(by) forceAnd notyou constraint themso that you may takea part(of) whatyou have given themexceptthatthey commitimmoralityopenAnd live with themin kindnessBut ifyou dislike themthen perhapsthatyou dislikea thingand has placedAllahin itgoodmuch
4:19
وَإِنْأَرَدتُّمُٱسْتِبْدَالَزَوْجٍۢمَّكَانَزَوْجٍۢوَءَاتَيْتُمْإِحْدَىٰهُنَّقِنطَارًۭافَلَاتَأْخُذُوا۟مِنْهُشَيْـًٔا ۚأَتَأْخُذُونَهُۥبُهْتَـٰنًۭاوَإِثْمًۭامُّبِينًۭا
mubīnanwa-ith'manbuh'tānanatakhudhūnahushayanmin'hutakhudhūfalāqinṭāraniḥ'dāhunnawaātaytumzawjinmakānazawjinis'tib'dālaaradttumuwa-in
And ifyou intendreplacinga wife(in) place(of) a wifeand you have givenone of themheap (of gold)then (do) nottake awayfrom itanythingWould you take it(by) slanderand a sinopen
4:20
وَكَيْفَتَأْخُذُونَهُۥوَقَدْأَفْضَىٰبَعْضُكُمْإِلَىٰبَعْضٍۢوَأَخَذْنَمِنكُممِّيثَـٰقًاغَلِيظًۭا
ghalīẓanmīthāqanminkumwa-akhadhnabaʿḍinilābaʿḍukumafḍāwaqadtakhudhūnahuwakayfa
And howcould you take itwhen surelyhas gone one of youtoanotherand they have takenfrom youcovenantstrong
4:21
وَلَاتَنكِحُوا۟مَانَكَحَءَابَآؤُكُممِّنَٱلنِّسَآءِإِلَّامَاقَدْسَلَفَ ۚإِنَّهُۥكَانَفَـٰحِشَةًۭوَمَقْتًۭاوَسَآءَسَبِيلًا
sabīlanwasāawamaqtanfāḥishatankānainnahusalafaqadmāillāl-nisāiminaābāukumnakaḥamātankiḥūwalā
And (do) notmarrywhommarriedyour fathersofthe womenexceptwhathaspassed beforeindeed itwasan immoralityand hatefuland (an) evilway
4:22
حُرِّمَتْعَلَيْكُمْأُمَّهَـٰتُكُمْوَبَنَاتُكُمْوَأَخَوَٰتُكُمْوَعَمَّـٰتُكُمْوَخَـٰلَـٰتُكُمْوَبَنَاتُٱلْأَخِوَبَنَاتُٱلْأُخْتِوَأُمَّهَـٰتُكُمُٱلَّـٰتِىٓأَرْضَعْنَكُمْوَأَخَوَٰتُكُممِّنَٱلرَّضَـٰعَةِوَأُمَّهَـٰتُنِسَآئِكُمْوَرَبَـٰٓئِبُكُمُٱلَّـٰتِىفِىحُجُورِكُممِّننِّسَآئِكُمُٱلَّـٰتِىدَخَلْتُمبِهِنَّفَإِنلَّمْتَكُونُوا۟دَخَلْتُمبِهِنَّفَلَاجُنَاحَعَلَيْكُمْوَحَلَـٰٓئِلُأَبْنَآئِكُمُٱلَّذِينَمِنْأَصْلَـٰبِكُمْوَأَنتَجْمَعُوا۟بَيْنَٱلْأُخْتَيْنِإِلَّامَاقَدْسَلَفَ ۗإِنَّٱللَّهَكَانَغَفُورًۭارَّحِيمًۭا
raḥīmanghafūrankānal-lahainnasalafaqadmāillāl-ukh'taynibaynatajmaʿūwa-anaṣlābikumminalladhīnaabnāikumuwaḥalāiluʿalaykumjunāḥafalābihinnadakhaltumtakūnūlamfa-inbihinnadakhaltumallātīnisāikumuminḥujūrikumfīallātīwarabāibukumunisāikumwa-ummahātul-raḍāʿatiminawa-akhawātukumarḍaʿnakumallātīwa-ummahātukumul-ukh'tiwabanātul-akhiwabanātuwakhālātukumwaʿammātukumwa-akhawātukumwabanātukumummahātukumʿalaykumḥurrimat
Forbiddento you(are) your mothersand your daughtersand your sistersand your father's sistersand your mother's sistersand daughters(of) brothersand daughters(of) sistersand (the) motherswhonursed youand your sistersfromthe nursingand mothers(of) your wivesand your step daughterswho(are) inyour guardianshipofyour womenwhomyou had relationswith thembut ifnotyou hadrelationswith themthen (there is) nosinon youAnd wives(of) your sonsthose who(are) fromyour loinsand thatyou gather together[between]two sistersexceptwhathaspassed beforeIndeedAllahisOft-ForgivingMost-Merciful
4:23
