Basmala
۞ لَّايُحِبُّٱللَّهُٱلْجَهْرَبِٱلسُّوٓءِمِنَٱلْقَوْلِإِلَّامَنظُلِمَ ۚوَكَانَٱللَّهُسَمِيعًاعَلِيمًا
ʿalīmansamīʿanl-lahuwakānaẓulimamanillāl-qawliminabil-sūil-jahral-lahuyuḥibbulā
(Does) notloveAllahthe public mentionof [the] evil[of][the] wordsexcept(by the one) whohas been wrongedAnd isAllahAll-HearingAll-Knowing
4:148
إِنتُبْدُوا۟خَيْرًاأَوْتُخْفُوهُأَوْتَعْفُوا۟عَنسُوٓءٍۢفَإِنَّٱللَّهَكَانَعَفُوًّۭاقَدِيرًا
qadīranʿafuwwankānal-lahafa-innasūinʿantaʿfūawtukh'fūhuawkhayrantub'dūin
Ifyou disclosea goodoryou conceal itorpardon[of]an evilthen indeedAllahisOft-PardoningAll-Powerful
4:149
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَيَكْفُرُونَبِٱللَّهِوَرُسُلِهِۦوَيُرِيدُونَأَنيُفَرِّقُوا۟بَيْنَٱللَّهِوَرُسُلِهِۦوَيَقُولُونَنُؤْمِنُبِبَعْضٍۢوَنَكْفُرُبِبَعْضٍۢوَيُرِيدُونَأَنيَتَّخِذُوا۟بَيْنَذَٰلِكَسَبِيلًا
sabīlandhālikabaynayattakhidhūanwayurīdūnabibaʿḍinwanakfurubibaʿḍinnu'minuwayaqūlūnawarusulihil-lahibaynayufarriqūanwayurīdūnawarusulihibil-lahiyakfurūnaalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whodisbelievein Allahand His Messengersand they wishthatthey differentiatebetweenAllahand His Messengersand they sayWe believein someand we disbelievein othersAnd they wishthatthey takebetweenthata way
4:150
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَحَقًّۭا ۚوَأَعْتَدْنَالِلْكَـٰفِرِينَعَذَابًۭامُّهِينًۭا
muhīnanʿadhābanlil'kāfirīnawa-aʿtadnāḥaqqanl-kāfirūnahumuulāika
Those they(are) the disbelieverstrulyAnd We have preparedfor the disbelieversa punishmenthumiliating
4:151
وَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟بِٱللَّهِوَرُسُلِهِۦوَلَمْيُفَرِّقُوا۟بَيْنَأَحَدٍۢمِّنْهُمْأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَسَوْفَيُؤْتِيهِمْأُجُورَهُمْ ۗوَكَانَٱللَّهُغَفُورًۭارَّحِيمًۭا
raḥīmanghafūranl-lahuwakānaujūrahumyu'tīhimsawfaulāikamin'humaḥadinbaynayufarriqūwalamwarusulihibil-lahiāmanūwa-alladhīna
And those whobelievein Allahand His Messengersand notthey differentiatebetween(any) oneof themthose soonHe will give themtheir rewardAnd isAllahOft-ForgivingMost Merciful
4:152
يَسْـَٔلُكَأَهْلُٱلْكِتَـٰبِأَنتُنَزِّلَعَلَيْهِمْكِتَـٰبًۭامِّنَٱلسَّمَآءِ ۚفَقَدْسَأَلُوا۟مُوسَىٰٓأَكْبَرَمِنذَٰلِكَفَقَالُوٓا۟أَرِنَاٱللَّهَجَهْرَةًۭفَأَخَذَتْهُمُٱلصَّـٰعِقَةُبِظُلْمِهِمْ ۚثُمَّٱتَّخَذُوا۟ٱلْعِجْلَمِنۢبَعْدِمَاجَآءَتْهُمُٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتُفَعَفَوْنَاعَنذَٰلِكَ ۚوَءَاتَيْنَامُوسَىٰسُلْطَـٰنًۭامُّبِينًۭا
mubīnansul'ṭānanmūsāwaātaynādhālikaʿanfaʿafawnāl-bayinātujāathumumābaʿdiminl-ʿij'laittakhadhūthummabiẓul'mihiml-ṣāʿiqatufa-akhadhathumujahratanl-lahaarināfaqālūdhālikaminakbaramūsāsa-alūfaqadl-samāiminakitābanʿalayhimtunazzilaanl-kitābiahluyasaluka
Ask you(the) People(of) the Bookthatyou bring downto thema bookfromthe heavenThen indeedthey (had) askedMusagreaterthanthatfor they saidShow usAllahmanifestlyso struck themthe thunderboltfor their wrongdoingThenthey tookthe calf (for worship)fromafter[what]came to themthe clear proofsthen We forgave themforthatAnd We gaveMusaan authorityclear
4:153
وَرَفَعْنَافَوْقَهُمُٱلطُّورَبِمِيثَـٰقِهِمْوَقُلْنَالَهُمُٱدْخُلُوا۟ٱلْبَابَسُجَّدًۭاوَقُلْنَالَهُمْلَاتَعْدُوا۟فِىٱلسَّبْتِوَأَخَذْنَامِنْهُممِّيثَـٰقًاغَلِيظًۭا
ghalīẓanmīthāqanmin'humwa-akhadhnāl-sabtifītaʿdūlālahumwaqul'nāsujjadanl-bābaud'khulūlahumuwaqul'nābimīthāqihiml-ṭūrafawqahumuwarafaʿnā
And We raisedover themthe mountfor their covenantand We saidto themEnterthe gateprostratingAnd We saidto them(Do) nottransgressinthe SabbathAnd We tookfrom thema covenantsolemn
4:154
فَبِمَانَقْضِهِممِّيثَـٰقَهُمْوَكُفْرِهِمبِـَٔايَـٰتِٱللَّهِوَقَتْلِهِمُٱلْأَنۢبِيَآءَبِغَيْرِحَقٍّۢوَقَوْلِهِمْقُلُوبُنَاغُلْفٌۢ ۚبَلْطَبَعَٱللَّهُعَلَيْهَابِكُفْرِهِمْفَلَايُؤْمِنُونَإِلَّاقَلِيلًۭا
qalīlanillāyu'minūnafalābikuf'rihimʿalayhāl-lahuṭabaʿabalghul'funqulūbunāwaqawlihimḥaqqinbighayril-anbiyāawaqatlihimul-lahibiāyātiwakuf'rihimmīthāqahumnaqḍihimfabimā
Then because oftheir breaking(of) their covenantand their disbeliefin (the) Signs(of) Allahand their killing(of) the Prophetswithoutany rightand their sayingOur hearts(are) wrappedNay(has) set a sealAllahon their (hearts)for their disbeliefso notthey believeexcepta few
4:155
وَبِكُفْرِهِمْوَقَوْلِهِمْعَلَىٰمَرْيَمَبُهْتَـٰنًاعَظِيمًۭا
ʿaẓīmanbuh'tānanmaryamaʿalāwaqawlihimwabikuf'rihim
And for their disbeliefand their sayingagainstMaryama slandergreat
4:156
وَقَوْلِهِمْإِنَّاقَتَلْنَاٱلْمَسِيحَعِيسَىٱبْنَمَرْيَمَرَسُولَٱللَّهِوَمَاقَتَلُوهُوَمَاصَلَبُوهُوَلَـٰكِنشُبِّهَلَهُمْ ۚوَإِنَّٱلَّذِينَٱخْتَلَفُوا۟فِيهِلَفِىشَكٍّۢمِّنْهُ ۚمَالَهُمبِهِۦمِنْعِلْمٍإِلَّاٱتِّبَاعَٱلظَّنِّ ۚوَمَاقَتَلُوهُيَقِينًۢا
yaqīnanqatalūhuwamāl-ẓaniittibāʿaillāʿil'minminbihilahummāmin'hushakkinlafīfīhiikh'talafūalladhīnawa-innalahumshubbihawalākinṣalabūhuwamāqatalūhuwamāl-lahirasūlamaryamaib'naʿīsāl-masīḥaqatalnāinnāwaqawlihim
And for their sayingIndeed, wekilledthe MessiahIsason(of) Maryam(the) Messenger(of) AllahAnd notthey killed himand notthey crucified himbutit was made to appear (so)to themAnd indeedthose whodifferin it(are) surely indoubtabout itNotfor themabout it[of](any) knowledgeexcept(the) following(of) assumptionAnd notthey killed himcertainly
4:157
بَلرَّفَعَهُٱللَّهُإِلَيْهِ ۚوَكَانَٱللَّهُعَزِيزًاحَكِيمًۭا
ḥakīmanʿazīzanl-lahuwakānailayhil-lahurafaʿahubal
Nayhe was raised(by) Allahtowards HimAnd isAllahAll-MightyAll-Wise
4:158
وَإِنمِّنْأَهْلِٱلْكِتَـٰبِإِلَّالَيُؤْمِنَنَّبِهِۦقَبْلَمَوْتِهِۦ ۖوَيَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِيَكُونُعَلَيْهِمْشَهِيدًۭا
shahīdanʿalayhimyakūnul-qiyāmatiwayawmamawtihiqablabihilayu'minannaillāl-kitābiahliminwa-in
And (there is) notfrom(the) People(of) the Bookbutsurely he believesin himbeforehis deathAnd (on the) Day(of) the Resurrectionhe will beagainst thema witness
4:159
فَبِظُلْمٍۢمِّنَٱلَّذِينَهَادُوا۟حَرَّمْنَاعَلَيْهِمْطَيِّبَـٰتٍأُحِلَّتْلَهُمْوَبِصَدِّهِمْعَنسَبِيلِٱللَّهِكَثِيرًۭا
kathīranl-lahisabīliʿanwabiṣaddihimlahumuḥillatṭayyibātinʿalayhimḥarramnāhādūalladhīnaminafabiẓul'min
Then for (the) wrongdoingofthose whowere JewsWe made unlawfulfor themgood thingswhich had been lawfulfor themand for their hinderingfrom(the) way(of) Allah many
4:160
وَأَخْذِهِمُٱلرِّبَوٰا۟وَقَدْنُهُوا۟عَنْهُوَأَكْلِهِمْأَمْوَٰلَٱلنَّاسِبِٱلْبَـٰطِلِ ۚوَأَعْتَدْنَالِلْكَـٰفِرِينَمِنْهُمْعَذَابًاأَلِيمًۭا
alīmanʿadhābanmin'humlil'kāfirīnawa-aʿtadnābil-bāṭilil-nāsiamwālawa-aklihimʿanhunuhūwaqadl-ribawa-akhdhihimu
And for their taking(of) [the] usurywhile certainlythey were forbiddenfrom itand (for) their consumingwealth(of) the peoplewrongfullyAnd We have preparedfor the disbelieversamong thema punishmentpainful
4:161
لَّـٰكِنِٱلرَّٰسِخُونَفِىٱلْعِلْمِمِنْهُمْوَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَيُؤْمِنُونَبِمَآأُنزِلَإِلَيْكَوَمَآأُنزِلَمِنقَبْلِكَ ۚوَٱلْمُقِيمِينَٱلصَّلَوٰةَ ۚوَٱلْمُؤْتُونَٱلزَّكَوٰةَوَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَبِٱللَّهِوَٱلْيَوْمِٱلْـَٔاخِرِأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَسَنُؤْتِيهِمْأَجْرًاعَظِيمًا
ʿaẓīmanajransanu'tīhimulāikal-ākhiriwal-yawmibil-lahiwal-mu'minūnal-zakatawal-mu'tūnal-ṣalatawal-muqīmīnaqablikaminunzilawamāilaykaunzilabimāyu'minūnawal-mu'minūnamin'huml-ʿil'mifīl-rāsikhūnalākini
Butthe ones who are firminthe knowledgeamong themand the believersbelievein what(is) revealedto youand whatwas revealedfrombefore youAnd the ones who establishthe prayerand the ones who givethe zakahand the ones who believein Allahand the Daythe Last thoseWe will give thema rewardgreat
4:162
۞ إِنَّآأَوْحَيْنَآإِلَيْكَكَمَآأَوْحَيْنَآإِلَىٰنُوحٍۢوَٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَمِنۢبَعْدِهِۦ ۚوَأَوْحَيْنَآإِلَىٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمَوَإِسْمَـٰعِيلَوَإِسْحَـٰقَوَيَعْقُوبَوَٱلْأَسْبَاطِوَعِيسَىٰوَأَيُّوبَوَيُونُسَوَهَـٰرُونَوَسُلَيْمَـٰنَ ۚوَءَاتَيْنَادَاوُۥدَزَبُورًۭا
zabūrandāwūdawaātaynāwasulaymānawahārūnawayūnusawa-ayyūbawaʿīsāwal-asbāṭiwayaʿqūbawa-is'ḥāqawa-is'māʿīlaib'rāhīmailāwa-awḥaynābaʿdihiminwal-nabiyīnanūḥinilāawḥaynākamāilaykaawḥaynāinnā
Indeed, Wehave revealedto youasWe revealedtoNuhand the Prophetsfromafter himand We revealedtoIbrahimand Ishmaeland Isaacand Yaquband the tribesand Isaand Ayyuband Yunusand Harunand Sulaimanand We gave(to) Dawoodthe Zaboor
4:163
وَرُسُلًۭاقَدْقَصَصْنَـٰهُمْعَلَيْكَمِنقَبْلُوَرُسُلًۭالَّمْنَقْصُصْهُمْعَلَيْكَ ۚوَكَلَّمَٱللَّهُمُوسَىٰتَكْلِيمًۭا
taklīmanmūsāl-lahuwakallamaʿalaykanaqṣuṣ'humlamwarusulanqabluminʿalaykaqaṣaṣnāhumqadwarusulan
And MessengerssurelyWe (have) mentioned themto youfrombeforeand MessengersnotWe (have) mentioned themto youAnd spokeAllah(to) Musa(in a) conversation
4:164
رُّسُلًۭامُّبَشِّرِينَوَمُنذِرِينَلِئَلَّايَكُونَلِلنَّاسِعَلَىٱللَّهِحُجَّةٌۢبَعْدَٱلرُّسُلِ ۚوَكَانَٱللَّهُعَزِيزًاحَكِيمًۭا
ḥakīmanʿazīzanl-lahuwakānal-rusulibaʿdaḥujjatunl-lahiʿalālilnnāsiyakūnali-allāwamundhirīnamubashirīnarusulan
Messengersbearers of glad tidingsand warnersso that notthere isfor mankindagainstAllahany argumentafterthe MessengersAnd isAllahAll-MightyAll-Wise
4:165
لَّـٰكِنِٱللَّهُيَشْهَدُبِمَآأَنزَلَإِلَيْكَ ۖأَنزَلَهُۥبِعِلْمِهِۦ ۖوَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُيَشْهَدُونَ ۚوَكَفَىٰبِٱللَّهِشَهِيدًا
shahīdanbil-lahiwakafāyashhadūnawal-malāikatubiʿil'mihianzalahuilaykaanzalabimāyashhadul-lahulākini
ButAllahbears witnessto whatHe (has) revealedto youHe has sent it downwith His Knowledgeand the Angelsbear witnessAnd is sufficientAllah(as) a Witness
4:166
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟وَصَدُّوا۟عَنسَبِيلِٱللَّهِقَدْضَلُّوا۟ضَلَـٰلًۢابَعِيدًا
baʿīdanḍalālanḍallūqadl-lahisabīliʿanwaṣaddūkafarūalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whodisbelieveand hinderfrom(the) way(of) Allahsurelythey have strayedstrayingfar away
4:167
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟وَظَلَمُوا۟لَمْيَكُنِٱللَّهُلِيَغْفِرَلَهُمْوَلَالِيَهْدِيَهُمْطَرِيقًا
ṭarīqanliyahdiyahumwalālahumliyaghfiral-lahuyakunilamwaẓalamūkafarūalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whodisbelievedand did wrongnotwillAllah[to] forgivethemand notHe will guide them(to) a way
4:168
إِلَّاطَرِيقَجَهَنَّمَخَـٰلِدِينَفِيهَآأَبَدًۭا ۚوَكَانَذَٰلِكَعَلَىٱللَّهِيَسِيرًۭا
yasīranl-lahiʿalādhālikawakānaabadanfīhākhālidīnajahannamaṭarīqaillā
Except(the) way(to) Hellabidingin itforeverAnd isthatforAllaheasy
4:169
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلنَّاسُقَدْجَآءَكُمُٱلرَّسُولُبِٱلْحَقِّمِنرَّبِّكُمْفَـَٔامِنُوا۟خَيْرًۭالَّكُمْ ۚوَإِنتَكْفُرُوا۟فَإِنَّلِلَّهِمَافِىٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚوَكَانَٱللَّهُعَلِيمًاحَكِيمًۭا
ḥakīmanʿalīmanl-lahuwakānawal-arḍil-samāwātifīmālillahifa-innatakfurūwa-inlakumkhayranfaāminūrabbikumminbil-ḥaqil-rasūlujāakumuqadl-nāsuyāayyuhā
OmankindSurelyhas come to youthe Messengerwith the truthfromyour Lordso believe(it is) betterfor youBut ifyou disbelievethen indeedto Allah (belongs)whatever(is) inthe heavensand the earthAnd isAllahAll-KnowingAll-Wise
4:170
يَـٰٓأَهْلَٱلْكِتَـٰبِلَاتَغْلُوا۟فِىدِينِكُمْوَلَاتَقُولُوا۟عَلَىٱللَّهِإِلَّاٱلْحَقَّ ۚإِنَّمَاٱلْمَسِيحُعِيسَىٱبْنُمَرْيَمَرَسُولُٱللَّهِوَكَلِمَتُهُۥٓأَلْقَىٰهَآإِلَىٰمَرْيَمَوَرُوحٌۭمِّنْهُ ۖفَـَٔامِنُوا۟بِٱللَّهِوَرُسُلِهِۦ ۖوَلَاتَقُولُوا۟ثَلَـٰثَةٌ ۚٱنتَهُوا۟خَيْرًۭالَّكُمْ ۚإِنَّمَاٱللَّهُإِلَـٰهٌۭوَٰحِدٌۭ ۖسُبْحَـٰنَهُۥٓأَنيَكُونَلَهُۥوَلَدٌۭ ۘلَّهُۥمَافِىٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَمَافِىٱلْأَرْضِ ۗوَكَفَىٰبِٱللَّهِوَكِيلًۭا
wakīlanbil-lahiwakafāl-arḍifīwamāl-samāwātifīmālahuwaladunlahuyakūnaansub'ḥānahuwāḥidunilāhunl-lahuinnamālakumkhayranintahūthalāthatuntaqūlūwalāwarusulihibil-lahifaāminūmin'huwarūḥunmaryamailāalqāhāwakalimatuhul-lahirasūlumaryamaub'nuʿīsāl-masīḥuinnamāl-ḥaqaillāl-lahiʿalātaqūlūwalādīnikumfītaghlūlāl-kitābiyāahla
O People(of) the Book(Do) notcommit excessinyour religionand (do) notsayaboutAllahexceptthe truthOnlythe MessiahIsason(of) Maryam(was) a Messenger(of) Allahand His wordwhich He conveyedtoMaryamand a spiritfrom HimSo believein Allahand His MessengersAnd (do) notsayThreedesist(it is) betterfor youOnlyAllah(is) GodOneGlory be to HimThatHe (should) havefor Hima sonTo Him (belongs)whatever(is) inthe heavensand whatever(is) inthe earthAnd is sufficientAllah(as) a Disposer of affairs
4:171
لَّنيَسْتَنكِفَٱلْمَسِيحُأَنيَكُونَعَبْدًۭالِّلَّهِوَلَاٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ ۚوَمَنيَسْتَنكِفْعَنْعِبَادَتِهِۦوَيَسْتَكْبِرْفَسَيَحْشُرُهُمْإِلَيْهِجَمِيعًۭا
jamīʿanilayhifasayaḥshuruhumwayastakbirʿibādatihiʿanyastankifwamanl-muqarabūnal-malāikatuwalālillahiʿabdanyakūnaanl-masīḥuyastankifalan
Neverwill disdainthe Messiahtobea slaveof Allahand notthe Angelsthe ones who are near (to Allah)And whoeverdisdainsfromHis worshipand is arrogantthen He will gather themtowards Himall together
4:172
فَأَمَّاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَعَمِلُوا۟ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِفَيُوَفِّيهِمْأُجُورَهُمْوَيَزِيدُهُممِّنفَضْلِهِۦ ۖوَأَمَّاٱلَّذِينَٱسْتَنكَفُوا۟وَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟فَيُعَذِّبُهُمْعَذَابًاأَلِيمًۭاوَلَايَجِدُونَلَهُممِّندُونِٱللَّهِوَلِيًّۭاوَلَانَصِيرًۭا
naṣīranwalāwaliyyanl-lahidūniminlahumyajidūnawalāalīmanʿadhābanfayuʿadhibuhumwa-is'takbarūis'tankafūalladhīnawa-ammāfaḍlihiminwayazīduhumujūrahumfayuwaffīhiml-ṣāliḥātiwaʿamilūāmanūalladhīnafa-ammā
Then as forthose whobelievedand didthe righteous deedsthen He will give them in fulltheir rewardand give them morefromHis BountyAnd as forthose whodisdainedand were arrogantthen He will punish them(with) a punishmentpainfuland notwill they findfor themselvesfrombesidesAllahany protectorand notany helper
4:173
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلنَّاسُقَدْجَآءَكُمبُرْهَـٰنٌۭمِّنرَّبِّكُمْوَأَنزَلْنَآإِلَيْكُمْنُورًۭامُّبِينًۭا
mubīnannūranilaykumwa-anzalnārabbikumminbur'hānunjāakumqadl-nāsuyāayyuhā
OmankindSurelyhas come to youa convincing prooffromyour Lordand We (have) sent downto youa lightclear
4:174
فَأَمَّاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟بِٱللَّهِوَٱعْتَصَمُوا۟بِهِۦفَسَيُدْخِلُهُمْفِىرَحْمَةٍۢمِّنْهُوَفَضْلٍۢوَيَهْدِيهِمْإِلَيْهِصِرَٰطًۭامُّسْتَقِيمًۭا
mus'taqīmanṣirāṭanilayhiwayahdīhimwafaḍlinmin'huraḥmatinfīfasayud'khiluhumbihiwa-iʿ'taṣamūbil-lahiāmanūalladhīnafa-ammā
So as forthose whobelievedin Allahand held fastto Himthen He will admit theminMercyfrom Himselfand Bountyand will guide themto Himself(on) a waystraight
4:175
يَسْتَفْتُونَكَقُلِٱللَّهُيُفْتِيكُمْفِىٱلْكَلَـٰلَةِ ۚإِنِٱمْرُؤٌا۟هَلَكَلَيْسَلَهُۥوَلَدٌۭوَلَهُۥٓأُخْتٌۭفَلَهَانِصْفُمَاتَرَكَ ۚوَهُوَيَرِثُهَآإِنلَّمْيَكُنلَّهَاوَلَدٌۭ ۚفَإِنكَانَتَاٱثْنَتَيْنِفَلَهُمَاٱلثُّلُثَانِمِمَّاتَرَكَ ۚوَإِنكَانُوٓا۟إِخْوَةًۭرِّجَالًۭاوَنِسَآءًۭفَلِلذَّكَرِمِثْلُحَظِّٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ ۗيُبَيِّنُٱللَّهُلَكُمْأَنتَضِلُّوا۟ ۗوَٱللَّهُبِكُلِّشَىْءٍعَلِيمٌۢ
ʿalīmunshayinbikulliwal-lahutaḍillūanlakuml-lahuyubayyinul-unthayayniḥaẓẓimith'lufalildhakariwanisāanrijālanikh'watankānūwa-intarakamimmāl-thuluthānifalahumāith'nataynikānatāfa-inwaladunlahāyakunlaminyarithuhāwahuwatarakamāniṣ'fufalahāukh'tunwalahuwaladunlahulaysahalakaim'ru-oninil-kalālatifīyuf'tīkuml-lahuquliyastaftūnaka
They seek your rulingSayAllahgives you a rulingconcerningthe Kalalaifa mandied(and) nothe hasa childand he hasa sisterthen for her(is) a half(of) whathe leftAnd hewill inherit from herifnotisfor hera childBut ifthere weretwo femalesthen for themtwo thirdsof whathe leftBut ifthey werebrothers and sistersmenand womenthen the male will havelikeshare(of) the two femalesmakes clearAllahto youlestyou go astrayAnd Allahof everything(is) All-Knower
4:176
Basmala
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوٓا۟أَوْفُوا۟بِٱلْعُقُودِ ۚأُحِلَّتْلَكُمبَهِيمَةُٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِإِلَّامَايُتْلَىٰعَلَيْكُمْغَيْرَمُحِلِّىٱلصَّيْدِوَأَنتُمْحُرُمٌ ۗإِنَّٱللَّهَيَحْكُمُمَايُرِيدُ
yurīdumāyaḥkumul-lahainnaḥurumunwa-antuml-ṣaydimuḥillīghayraʿalaykumyut'lāmāillāl-anʿāmibahīmatulakumuḥillatbil-ʿuqūdiawfūāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
Oyou (who)believeFulfilthe contractsAre made lawfulfor youthe quadruped(of) the grazing livestockexceptwhatis recitedon younotbeing permitted(to) huntwhile you(are in) IhramIndeedAllahdecreeswhatHe wills
5:1
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟لَاتُحِلُّوا۟شَعَـٰٓئِرَٱللَّهِوَلَاٱلشَّهْرَٱلْحَرَامَوَلَاٱلْهَدْىَوَلَاٱلْقَلَـٰٓئِدَوَلَآءَآمِّينَٱلْبَيْتَٱلْحَرَامَيَبْتَغُونَفَضْلًۭامِّنرَّبِّهِمْوَرِضْوَٰنًۭا ۚوَإِذَاحَلَلْتُمْفَٱصْطَادُوا۟ ۚوَلَايَجْرِمَنَّكُمْشَنَـَٔانُقَوْمٍأَنصَدُّوكُمْعَنِٱلْمَسْجِدِٱلْحَرَامِأَنتَعْتَدُوا۟ ۘوَتَعَاوَنُوا۟عَلَىٱلْبِرِّوَٱلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖوَلَاتَعَاوَنُوا۟عَلَىٱلْإِثْمِوَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ ۚوَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَ ۖإِنَّٱللَّهَشَدِيدُٱلْعِقَابِ
l-ʿiqābishadīdul-lahainnal-lahawa-ittaqūwal-ʿud'wānil-ith'miʿalātaʿāwanūwalāwal-taqwāl-biriʿalāwataʿāwanūtaʿtadūanl-ḥarāmil-masjidiʿaniṣaddūkumanqawminshanaānuyajrimannakumwalāfa-iṣ'ṭādūḥalaltumwa-idhāwariḍ'wānanrabbihimminfaḍlanyabtaghūnal-ḥarāmal-baytaāmmīnawalāl-qalāidawalāl-hadyawalāl-ḥarāmal-shahrawalāl-lahishaʿāiratuḥillūlāāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
Oyou (who)believe(Do) notviolate(the) rites(of) Allahand notthe monththe sacredand notthe sacrificial animalsand notthe garlandedand not(those) coming(to) the Housethe SacredseekingBountyoftheir Lordand good pleasureAnd whenyou come out of Ihramthen (you may) huntAnd let notincite you(the) hatred(for) a peopleasthey stopped youfromAl-MasjidAl-Haraamthatyou commit transgressionAnd help one anotherin[the] righteousnessand [the] pietybut (do) nothelp one anotherin[the] sinand [the] transgressionAnd fearAllahindeedAllah(is) severe(in) [the] punishment
5:2
حُرِّمَتْعَلَيْكُمُٱلْمَيْتَةُوَٱلدَّمُوَلَحْمُٱلْخِنزِيرِوَمَآأُهِلَّلِغَيْرِٱللَّهِبِهِۦوَٱلْمُنْخَنِقَةُوَٱلْمَوْقُوذَةُوَٱلْمُتَرَدِّيَةُوَٱلنَّطِيحَةُوَمَآأَكَلَٱلسَّبُعُإِلَّامَاذَكَّيْتُمْوَمَاذُبِحَعَلَىٱلنُّصُبِوَأَنتَسْتَقْسِمُوا۟بِٱلْأَزْلَـٰمِ ۚذَٰلِكُمْفِسْقٌ ۗٱلْيَوْمَيَئِسَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟مِندِينِكُمْفَلَاتَخْشَوْهُمْوَٱخْشَوْنِ ۚٱلْيَوْمَأَكْمَلْتُلَكُمْدِينَكُمْوَأَتْمَمْتُعَلَيْكُمْنِعْمَتِىوَرَضِيتُلَكُمُٱلْإِسْلَـٰمَدِينًۭا ۚفَمَنِٱضْطُرَّفِىمَخْمَصَةٍغَيْرَمُتَجَانِفٍۢلِّإِثْمٍۢ ۙفَإِنَّٱللَّهَغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunghafūrunl-lahafa-innali-ith'minmutajānifinghayramakhmaṣatinfīuḍ'ṭurrafamanidīnanl-is'lāmalakumuwaraḍītuniʿ'matīʿalaykumwa-atmamtudīnakumlakumakmaltul-yawmawa-ikh'shawnitakhshawhumfalādīnikumminkafarūalladhīnaya-isal-yawmafis'qundhālikumbil-azlāmitastaqsimūwa-anl-nuṣubiʿalādhubiḥawamādhakkaytummāillāl-sabuʿuakalawamāwal-naṭīḥatuwal-mutaradiyatuwal-mawqūdhatuwal-mun'khaniqatubihil-lahilighayriuhillawamāl-khinzīriwalaḥmuwal-damul-maytatuʿalaykumuḥurrimat
Are made unlawfulon youthe dead animalsand the bloodand flesh(of) the swineand whathas been dedicatedto other thanAllah[on it]and that which is strangled (to death)and that which is hit fatallyand that which has a fatal falland that which is gored by hornsand that whichate (it)the wild animalexceptwhatyou slaughteredand whatis sacrificedonthe stone altarsand thatyou seek divisionby divining arrows that(is) grave disobedienceThis day(have) despairedthose whodisbelievedofyour religionso (do) notfear thembut fear MeThis dayI have perfectedfor youyour religionand I have completedupon youMy Favorand I have approvedfor you[the] Islam(as) a religionBut whoever(is) forcedbyhunger(and) notincliningto sinthen indeedAllah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
5:3
يَسْـَٔلُونَكَمَاذَآأُحِلَّلَهُمْ ۖقُلْأُحِلَّلَكُمُٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتُ ۙوَمَاعَلَّمْتُممِّنَٱلْجَوَارِحِمُكَلِّبِينَتُعَلِّمُونَهُنَّمِمَّاعَلَّمَكُمُٱللَّهُ ۖفَكُلُوا۟مِمَّآأَمْسَكْنَعَلَيْكُمْوَٱذْكُرُوا۟ٱسْمَٱللَّهِعَلَيْهِ ۖوَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَسَرِيعُٱلْحِسَابِ
l-ḥisābisarīʿul-lahainnal-lahawa-ittaqūʿalayhil-lahiis'mawa-udh'kurūʿalaykumamsaknamimmāfakulūl-lahuʿallamakumumimmātuʿallimūnahunnamukallibīnal-jawāriḥiminaʿallamtumwamāl-ṭayibātulakumuuḥillaqullahumuḥillamādhāyasalūnaka
They ask youwhat(is) made lawfulfor themSayAre made lawfulfor youthe good thingsand whatyou have taughtof(your) hunting animalsones who train animals to huntyou teach themof whathas taught youAllahSo eatof whatthey catchfor youbut mention(the) name(of) Allahon itand fearAllahIndeedAllahis swift(in taking) account
5:4
ٱلْيَوْمَأُحِلَّلَكُمُٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتُ ۖوَطَعَامُٱلَّذِينَأُوتُوا۟ٱلْكِتَـٰبَحِلٌّۭلَّكُمْوَطَعَامُكُمْحِلٌّۭلَّهُمْ ۖوَٱلْمُحْصَنَـٰتُمِنَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِوَٱلْمُحْصَنَـٰتُمِنَٱلَّذِينَأُوتُوا۟ٱلْكِتَـٰبَمِنقَبْلِكُمْإِذَآءَاتَيْتُمُوهُنَّأُجُورَهُنَّمُحْصِنِينَغَيْرَمُسَـٰفِحِينَوَلَامُتَّخِذِىٓأَخْدَانٍۢ ۗوَمَنيَكْفُرْبِٱلْإِيمَـٰنِفَقَدْحَبِطَعَمَلُهُۥوَهُوَفِىٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِمِنَٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ
l-khāsirīnaminal-ākhiratifīwahuwaʿamaluhuḥabiṭafaqadbil-īmāniyakfurwamanakhdāninmuttakhidhīwalāmusāfiḥīnaghayramuḥ'ṣinīnaujūrahunnaātaytumūhunnaidhāqablikumminl-kitābaūtūalladhīnaminawal-muḥ'ṣanātul-mu'minātiminawal-muḥ'ṣanātulahumḥillunwaṭaʿāmukumlakumḥillunl-kitābaūtūalladhīnawaṭaʿāmul-ṭayibātulakumuuḥillaal-yawma
This dayare made lawfulfor youthe good thingsand (the) food(of) those whowere giventhe Book(is) lawfulfor youand your food(is) lawfulfor themAnd the chaste womenfromthe believersand the chaste womenfromthose whowere giventhe Bookfrombefore youwhenyou have given themtheir bridal duebeing chastenotbeing lewdand notones (who are) takingsecret loversAnd whoeverdeniesthe faith then surely(are) wastedhis deedsand heinthe Hereafter(will be) amongthe losers
5:5
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوٓا۟إِذَاقُمْتُمْإِلَىٱلصَّلَوٰةِفَٱغْسِلُوا۟وُجُوهَكُمْوَأَيْدِيَكُمْإِلَىٱلْمَرَافِقِوَٱمْسَحُوا۟بِرُءُوسِكُمْوَأَرْجُلَكُمْإِلَىٱلْكَعْبَيْنِ ۚوَإِنكُنتُمْجُنُبًۭافَٱطَّهَّرُوا۟ ۚوَإِنكُنتُممَّرْضَىٰٓأَوْعَلَىٰسَفَرٍأَوْجَآءَأَحَدٌۭمِّنكُممِّنَٱلْغَآئِطِأَوْلَـٰمَسْتُمُٱلنِّسَآءَفَلَمْتَجِدُوا۟مَآءًۭفَتَيَمَّمُوا۟صَعِيدًۭاطَيِّبًۭافَٱمْسَحُوا۟بِوُجُوهِكُمْوَأَيْدِيكُممِّنْهُ ۚمَايُرِيدُٱللَّهُلِيَجْعَلَعَلَيْكُممِّنْحَرَجٍۢوَلَـٰكِنيُرِيدُلِيُطَهِّرَكُمْوَلِيُتِمَّنِعْمَتَهُۥعَلَيْكُمْلَعَلَّكُمْتَشْكُرُونَ
tashkurūnalaʿallakumʿalaykumniʿ'matahuwaliyutimmaliyuṭahhirakumyurīduwalākinḥarajinminʿalaykumliyajʿalal-lahuyurīdumāmin'huwa-aydīkumbiwujūhikumfa-im'saḥūṭayyibanṣaʿīdanfatayammamūmāantajidūfalaml-nisāalāmastumuawl-ghāiṭiminaminkumaḥadunjāaawsafarinʿalāawmarḍākuntumwa-infa-iṭṭahharūjunubankuntumwa-inl-kaʿbayniilāwa-arjulakumbiruūsikumwa-im'saḥūl-marāfiqiilāwa-aydiyakumwujūhakumfa-igh'silūl-ṣalatiilāqum'tumidhāāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieveWhenyou stand upforthe prayerthen washyour facesand your handstillthe elbowsand wipeyour headsand your feettillthe anklesBut ifyou are(in) a state of ceremonial impuritythen purify yourselvesBut ifyou areillorona journeyorhas comeanyoneof youfromthe toiletorhas (had) contact(with) the womenand notyou findwaterthen do tayyammum(with) earthcleanthen wipeyour facesand your handswith itDoes notintendAllahto makefor youanydifficultybutHe intendsto purify youand to completeHis Favorupon youso that you may(be) grateful
5:6
وَٱذْكُرُوا۟نِعْمَةَٱللَّهِعَلَيْكُمْوَمِيثَـٰقَهُٱلَّذِىوَاثَقَكُمبِهِۦٓإِذْقُلْتُمْسَمِعْنَاوَأَطَعْنَا ۖوَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَعَلِيمٌۢبِذَاتِٱلصُّدُورِ
l-ṣudūribidhātiʿalīmunl-lahainnal-lahawa-ittaqūwa-aṭaʿnāsamiʿ'nāqul'tumidhbihiwāthaqakumalladhīwamīthāqahuʿalaykuml-lahiniʿ'matawa-udh'kurū
And remember(the) Favor(of) Allahupon youand His covenantwhichHe bound youwith [it]whenyou saidWe heardand we obeyedand fearAllahIndeedAllah(is) All-Knowerof what(is in) the breasts
5:7
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟كُونُوا۟قَوَّٰمِينَلِلَّهِشُهَدَآءَبِٱلْقِسْطِ ۖوَلَايَجْرِمَنَّكُمْشَنَـَٔانُقَوْمٍعَلَىٰٓأَلَّاتَعْدِلُوا۟ ۚٱعْدِلُوا۟هُوَأَقْرَبُلِلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖوَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَخَبِيرٌۢبِمَاتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnabimākhabīrunl-lahainnal-lahawa-ittaqūlilttaqwāaqrabuhuwaiʿ'dilūtaʿdilūallāʿalāqawminshanaānuyajrimannakumwalābil-qis'ṭishuhadāalillahiqawwāmīnakūnūāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieveBesteadfastfor Allah(as) witnessesin justiceand let notprevent youhatred(of) a people[upon]that notyou do justiceBe justit(is) nearerto [the] pietyAnd fearAllahindeedAllah(is) All-Awareof whatyou do
5:8
وَعَدَٱللَّهُٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَعَمِلُوا۟ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ ۙلَهُممَّغْفِرَةٌۭوَأَجْرٌعَظِيمٌۭ
ʿaẓīmunwa-ajrunmaghfiratunlahuml-ṣāliḥātiwaʿamilūāmanūalladhīnal-lahuwaʿada
Has promisedAllahthose whobelieveand dothe righteous deeds for them(is) forgivenessand a rewardgreat
5:9
وَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟وَكَذَّبُوا۟بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَأَصْحَـٰبُٱلْجَحِيمِ
l-jaḥīmiaṣḥābuulāikabiāyātināwakadhabūkafarūwa-alladhīna
And those whodisbelieveand denyOur Signs those(are the) companions(of) the Hellfire
5:10
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟ٱذْكُرُوا۟نِعْمَتَٱللَّهِعَلَيْكُمْإِذْهَمَّقَوْمٌأَنيَبْسُطُوٓا۟إِلَيْكُمْأَيْدِيَهُمْفَكَفَّأَيْدِيَهُمْعَنكُمْ ۖوَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَ ۚوَعَلَىٱللَّهِفَلْيَتَوَكَّلِٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
l-mu'minūnafalyatawakkalil-lahiwaʿalāl-lahawa-ittaqūʿankumaydiyahumfakaffaaydiyahumilaykumyabsuṭūanqawmunhammaidhʿalaykuml-lahiniʿ'mataudh'kurūāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieveRemember(the) Favor(of) Allahupon youwhendetermineda peoplethatthey stretchtowards youtheir handsbut He restrainedtheir handsfrom youAnd fearAllahAnd uponAllahso let put the trustthe believers
5:11
۞ وَلَقَدْأَخَذَٱللَّهُمِيثَـٰقَبَنِىٓإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَوَبَعَثْنَامِنْهُمُٱثْنَىْعَشَرَنَقِيبًۭا ۖوَقَالَٱللَّهُإِنِّىمَعَكُمْ ۖلَئِنْأَقَمْتُمُٱلصَّلَوٰةَوَءَاتَيْتُمُٱلزَّكَوٰةَوَءَامَنتُمبِرُسُلِىوَعَزَّرْتُمُوهُمْوَأَقْرَضْتُمُٱللَّهَقَرْضًاحَسَنًۭالَّأُكَفِّرَنَّعَنكُمْسَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْوَلَأُدْخِلَنَّكُمْجَنَّـٰتٍۢتَجْرِىمِنتَحْتِهَاٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ۚفَمَنكَفَرَبَعْدَذَٰلِكَمِنكُمْفَقَدْضَلَّسَوَآءَٱلسَّبِيلِ
l-sabīlisawāaḍallafaqadminkumdhālikabaʿdakafarafamanl-anhārutaḥtihāmintajrījannātinwala-ud'khilannakumsayyiātikumʿankumla-ukaffirannaḥasananqarḍanl-lahawa-aqraḍtumuwaʿazzartumūhumbirusulīwaāmantuml-zakatawaātaytumul-ṣalataaqamtumula-inmaʿakuminnīl-lahuwaqālanaqībanʿasharaith'naymin'humuwabaʿathnāis'rāīlabanīmīthāqal-lahuakhadhawalaqad
And certainlytookAllaha Covenant(from the) Children(of) Israeland We appointedamong themtwo(and) tenleadersAnd saidAllahIndeed, I (am)with youifyou establishthe prayerand givethe zakahand you believein My Messengersand you assist themand you loan(to) Allaha loangoodlysurely I will removefrom youyour evil deedsand I will surely admit you(to) gardensflowfromunderneath themthe riversBut whoeverdisbelievedafterthatamong youthen certainlyhe strayed(from) the waythe right
5:12
فَبِمَانَقْضِهِممِّيثَـٰقَهُمْلَعَنَّـٰهُمْوَجَعَلْنَاقُلُوبَهُمْقَـٰسِيَةًۭ ۖيُحَرِّفُونَٱلْكَلِمَعَنمَّوَاضِعِهِۦ ۙوَنَسُوا۟حَظًّۭامِّمَّاذُكِّرُوا۟بِهِۦ ۚوَلَاتَزَالُتَطَّلِعُعَلَىٰخَآئِنَةٍۢمِّنْهُمْإِلَّاقَلِيلًۭامِّنْهُمْ ۖفَٱعْفُعَنْهُمْوَٱصْفَحْ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَيُحِبُّٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
l-muḥ'sinīnayuḥibbul-lahainnawa-iṣ'faḥʿanhumfa-uʿ'fumin'humqalīlanillāmin'humkhāinatinʿalātaṭṭaliʿutazāluwalābihidhukkirūmimmāḥaẓẓanwanasūmawāḍiʿihiʿanl-kalimayuḥarrifūnaqāsiyatanqulūbahumwajaʿalnālaʿannāhummīthāqahumnaqḍihimfabimā
So fortheir breaking(of) their covenantWe cursed themand We madetheir heartshardThey distortthe wordsfromtheir placesand forgota partof whatthey were remindedof [it]And notwill you ceaseto discoveroftreacheryfrom themexcepta fewof themBut forgivethemand overlookIndeedAllahlovesthe good-doers
5:13
وَمِنَٱلَّذِينَقَالُوٓا۟إِنَّانَصَـٰرَىٰٓأَخَذْنَامِيثَـٰقَهُمْفَنَسُوا۟حَظًّۭامِّمَّاذُكِّرُوا۟بِهِۦفَأَغْرَيْنَابَيْنَهُمُٱلْعَدَاوَةَوَٱلْبَغْضَآءَإِلَىٰيَوْمِٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۚوَسَوْفَيُنَبِّئُهُمُٱللَّهُبِمَاكَانُوا۟يَصْنَعُونَ
yaṣnaʿūnakānūbimāl-lahuyunabbi-uhumuwasawfal-qiyāmatiyawmiilāwal-baghḍāal-ʿadāwatabaynahumufa-aghraynābihidhukkirūmimmāḥaẓẓanfanasūmīthāqahumakhadhnānaṣārāinnāqālūalladhīnawamina
And fromthose whosaidIndeed we(are) ChristiansWe tooktheir covenantbut they forgota partof whatthey were remindedof [it]So We arousedbetween them[the] enmityand [the] hatredtill(the) Day(of) the ResurrectionAnd soonwill inform themAllahof whatthey used todo
5:14
يَـٰٓأَهْلَٱلْكِتَـٰبِقَدْجَآءَكُمْرَسُولُنَايُبَيِّنُلَكُمْكَثِيرًۭامِّمَّاكُنتُمْتُخْفُونَمِنَٱلْكِتَـٰبِوَيَعْفُوا۟عَنكَثِيرٍۢ ۚقَدْجَآءَكُممِّنَٱللَّهِنُورٌۭوَكِتَـٰبٌۭمُّبِينٌۭ
mubīnunwakitābunnūrunl-lahiminajāakumqadkathīrinʿanwayaʿfūl-kitābiminatukh'fūnakuntummimmākathīranlakumyubayyinurasūlunājāakumqadl-kitābiyāahla
O People(of) the BookSurelyhas come to youOur Messengermaking clearto youmuchof whatyou used toconcealofthe Scriptureand overlookingofmuchSurelyhas come to youfromAllaha lightand a Bookclear
5:15
يَهْدِىبِهِٱللَّهُمَنِٱتَّبَعَرِضْوَٰنَهُۥسُبُلَٱلسَّلَـٰمِوَيُخْرِجُهُممِّنَٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِإِلَىٱلنُّورِبِإِذْنِهِۦوَيَهْدِيهِمْإِلَىٰصِرَٰطٍۢمُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
mus'taqīminṣirāṭinilāwayahdīhimbi-idh'nihil-nūriilāl-ẓulumātiminawayukh'rijuhuml-salāmisubulariḍ'wānahuittabaʿamanil-lahubihiyahdī
Guideswith itAllah(those) whoseekHis pleasure(to the) ways(of) the peaceand brings them outfromthe darknessesstothe lightby His permissionand guides themto(the) way(the) straight
5:16
لَّقَدْكَفَرَٱلَّذِينَقَالُوٓا۟إِنَّٱللَّهَهُوَٱلْمَسِيحُٱبْنُمَرْيَمَ ۚقُلْفَمَنيَمْلِكُمِنَٱللَّهِشَيْـًٔاإِنْأَرَادَأَنيُهْلِكَٱلْمَسِيحَٱبْنَمَرْيَمَوَأُمَّهُۥوَمَنفِىٱلْأَرْضِجَمِيعًۭا ۗوَلِلَّهِمُلْكُٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِوَمَابَيْنَهُمَا ۚيَخْلُقُمَايَشَآءُ ۚوَٱللَّهُعَلَىٰكُلِّشَىْءٍۢقَدِيرٌۭ
qadīrunshayinkulliʿalāwal-lahuyashāumāyakhluqubaynahumāwamāwal-arḍil-samāwātimul'kuwalillahijamīʿanl-arḍifīwamanwa-ummahumaryamaib'nal-masīḥayuh'likaanarādainshayanl-lahiminayamlikufamanqulmaryamaub'nul-masīḥuhuwal-lahainnaqālūalladhīnakafaralaqad
Certainlydisbelieved those whosaidIndeedAllahHe(is) the Messiahson(of) MaryamSayThen whohas poweragainstAllah(in) anythingifHe intendstodestroythe Messiahson(of) Maryamand his motherand whoever(is) inthe earthallAnd for Allah(is the) dominion(of) the heavensand the earthand what(is) between both of themHe createswhatHe willsand Allah(is) oneverythingAll-Powerful
5:17
وَقَالَتِٱلْيَهُودُوَٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰنَحْنُأَبْنَـٰٓؤُا۟ٱللَّهِوَأَحِبَّـٰٓؤُهُۥ ۚقُلْفَلِمَيُعَذِّبُكُمبِذُنُوبِكُم ۖبَلْأَنتُمبَشَرٌۭمِّمَّنْخَلَقَ ۚيَغْفِرُلِمَنيَشَآءُوَيُعَذِّبُمَنيَشَآءُ ۚوَلِلَّهِمُلْكُٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِوَمَابَيْنَهُمَا ۖوَإِلَيْهِٱلْمَصِيرُ
l-maṣīruwa-ilayhibaynahumāwamāwal-arḍil-samāwātimul'kuwalillahiyashāumanwayuʿadhibuyashāulimanyaghfirukhalaqamimmanbasharunantumbalbidhunūbikumyuʿadhibukumfalimaqulwa-aḥibbāuhul-lahiabnāunaḥnuwal-naṣārāl-yahūduwaqālati
And saidthe Jewsand the ChristiansWe (are)(the) children(of) Allahand His belovedSayThen why(does He) punish youfor your sinsNayyou (are)human beingsfrom among (those)He createdHe forgives[for] whomHe willsand punisheswhomHe willsAnd for Allah(is the) dominion(of) the heavensand the earthand whatever(is) between themand to Him(is) the final return
5:18
يَـٰٓأَهْلَٱلْكِتَـٰبِقَدْجَآءَكُمْرَسُولُنَايُبَيِّنُلَكُمْعَلَىٰفَتْرَةٍۢمِّنَٱلرُّسُلِأَنتَقُولُوا۟مَاجَآءَنَامِنۢبَشِيرٍۢوَلَانَذِيرٍۢ ۖفَقَدْجَآءَكُمبَشِيرٌۭوَنَذِيرٌۭ ۗوَٱللَّهُعَلَىٰكُلِّشَىْءٍۢقَدِيرٌۭ
qadīrunshayinkulliʿalāwal-lahuwanadhīrunbashīrunjāakumfaqadnadhīrinwalābashīrinminjāanāmātaqūlūanl-rusuliminafatratinʿalālakumyubayyinurasūlunājāakumqadl-kitābiyāahla
O People(of) the BookSurelyhas come to youOur Messengerhe makes clearto you[on](after) an interval (of cessation)ofthe Messengerslestyou sayNot(has) come to usanybearer of glad tidingsand nota warnerBut surelyhas come to youa bearer of glad tidingsand a warnerAnd Allah(is) oneverythingAll-Powerful
5:19
وَإِذْقَالَمُوسَىٰلِقَوْمِهِۦيَـٰقَوْمِٱذْكُرُوا۟نِعْمَةَٱللَّهِعَلَيْكُمْإِذْجَعَلَفِيكُمْأَنۢبِيَآءَوَجَعَلَكُممُّلُوكًۭاوَءَاتَىٰكُممَّالَمْيُؤْتِأَحَدًۭامِّنَٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnaminaaḥadanyu'tilammāwaātākummulūkanwajaʿalakumanbiyāafīkumjaʿalaidhʿalaykuml-lahiniʿ'mataudh'kurūyāqawmiliqawmihimūsāqālawa-idh
And whensaidMusato his peopleO my peopleremember(the) Favor(of) Allahupon youwhenHe placedamong youProphetsand made youkingsand He gave youwhatnotHe (had) given(to) anyonefromthe worlds
5:20
يَـٰقَوْمِٱدْخُلُوا۟ٱلْأَرْضَٱلْمُقَدَّسَةَٱلَّتِىكَتَبَٱللَّهُلَكُمْوَلَاتَرْتَدُّوا۟عَلَىٰٓأَدْبَارِكُمْفَتَنقَلِبُوا۟خَـٰسِرِينَ
khāsirīnafatanqalibūadbārikumʿalātartaddūwalālakuml-lahukatabaallatīl-muqadasatal-arḍaud'khulūyāqawmi
O my peopleEnterthe landthe Holywhich(has been) ordained(by) Allahfor youand (do) notturnonyour backsthen you will turn back(as) losers
5:21
قَالُوا۟يَـٰمُوسَىٰٓإِنَّفِيهَاقَوْمًۭاجَبَّارِينَوَإِنَّالَننَّدْخُلَهَاحَتَّىٰيَخْرُجُوا۟مِنْهَافَإِنيَخْرُجُوا۟مِنْهَافَإِنَّادَٰخِلُونَ
dākhilūnafa-innāmin'hāyakhrujūfa-inmin'hāyakhrujūḥattānadkhulahālanwa-innājabbārīnaqawmanfīhāinnayāmūsāqālū
They saidO MusaIndeedin it(are) people(of) tyrannical strengthand indeed, weneverwill enter ituntilthey leavefrom itand ifthey leave[from] itthen certainly we (will)enter (it)
5:22
قَالَرَجُلَانِمِنَٱلَّذِينَيَخَافُونَأَنْعَمَٱللَّهُعَلَيْهِمَاٱدْخُلُوا۟عَلَيْهِمُٱلْبَابَفَإِذَادَخَلْتُمُوهُفَإِنَّكُمْغَـٰلِبُونَ ۚوَعَلَىٱللَّهِفَتَوَكَّلُوٓا۟إِنكُنتُممُّؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnakuntuminfatawakkalūl-lahiwaʿalāghālibūnafa-innakumdakhaltumūhufa-idhāl-bābaʿalayhimuud'khulūʿalayhimāl-lahuanʿamayakhāfūnaalladhīnaminarajulāniqāla
Saidtwo menfromthose whofeared (Allah)(had) favoredAllah[on] both of themEnterupon them(through) the gatethen whenyou have entered itthen indeed, you (will be)victoriousAnd uponAllahthen put your trustifyou arebelievers
5:23
قَالُوا۟يَـٰمُوسَىٰٓإِنَّالَننَّدْخُلَهَآأَبَدًۭامَّادَامُوا۟فِيهَا ۖفَٱذْهَبْأَنتَوَرَبُّكَفَقَـٰتِلَآإِنَّاهَـٰهُنَاقَـٰعِدُونَ
qāʿidūnahāhunāinnāfaqātilāwarabbukaantafa-idh'habfīhādāmūmāabadannadkhulahālaninnāyāmūsāqālū
They saidO MusaIndeed, weneverwill enter iteverforas long as they arein itSo goyouand your Lordand you both fightIndeed, weare [here]sitting
5:24
قَالَرَبِّإِنِّىلَآأَمْلِكُإِلَّانَفْسِىوَأَخِى ۖفَٱفْرُقْبَيْنَنَاوَبَيْنَٱلْقَوْمِٱلْفَـٰسِقِينَ
l-fāsiqīnal-qawmiwabaynabaynanāfa-uf'ruqwa-akhīnafsīillāamlikulāinnīrabbiqāla
He saidO my LordIndeed, I(do) not(have) powerexcept(over) myselfand my brotherso (make a) separationbetween usand betweenthe people(the) defiantly disobedient
5:25
قَالَفَإِنَّهَامُحَرَّمَةٌعَلَيْهِمْ ۛأَرْبَعِينَسَنَةًۭ ۛيَتِيهُونَفِىٱلْأَرْضِ ۚفَلَاتَأْسَعَلَىٱلْقَوْمِٱلْفَـٰسِقِينَ
l-fāsiqīnal-qawmiʿalātasafalāl-arḍifīyatīhūnasanatanarbaʿīnaʿalayhimmuḥarramatunfa-innahāqāla
(Allah) saidThen indeed it(will be) forbiddento them(for) fortyyearsthey will wanderinthe earthSo (do) notgrieveoverthe peoplethe defiantly disobedient
5:26
۞ وَٱتْلُعَلَيْهِمْنَبَأَٱبْنَىْءَادَمَبِٱلْحَقِّإِذْقَرَّبَاقُرْبَانًۭافَتُقُبِّلَمِنْأَحَدِهِمَاوَلَمْيُتَقَبَّلْمِنَٱلْـَٔاخَرِقَالَلَأَقْتُلَنَّكَ ۖقَالَإِنَّمَايَتَقَبَّلُٱللَّهُمِنَٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
l-mutaqīnaminal-lahuyataqabbaluinnamāqālala-aqtulannakaqālal-ākhariminayutaqabbalwalamaḥadihimāminfatuqubbilaqur'bānanqarrabāidhbil-ḥaqiādamaib'naynaba-aʿalayhimwa-ut'lu
And reciteto themthe story(of) two sons(of) Adamin truthwhenboth offereda sacrificeand it was acceptedfromone of themand notwas acceptedfromthe otherSaid (the latter)Surely I will kill youSaid (the former)Onlyaccepts(does) Allahfromthe God fearing
5:27
لَئِنۢبَسَطتَإِلَىَّيَدَكَلِتَقْتُلَنِىمَآأَنَا۠بِبَاسِطٍۢيَدِىَإِلَيْكَلِأَقْتُلَكَ ۖإِنِّىٓأَخَافُٱللَّهَرَبَّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnarabbal-lahaakhāfuinnīli-aqtulakailaykayadiyabibāsiṭinanāmālitaqtulanīyadakailayyabasaṭtala-in
Ifyou stretchtowards meyour handto kill menotwill Istretchmy handtowards youto kill youindeed IfearAllah(the) Lord(of) the worlds
5:28
إِنِّىٓأُرِيدُأَنتَبُوٓأَبِإِثْمِىوَإِثْمِكَفَتَكُونَمِنْأَصْحَـٰبِٱلنَّارِ ۚوَذَٰلِكَجَزَٰٓؤُا۟ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnajazāuwadhālikal-nāriaṣḥābiminfatakūnawa-ith'mikabi-ith'mītabūaanurīduinnī
Indeed, Iwishthatyou be ladenwith my sinand your sinso you will beamong(the) companions(of) the Fireand that(is the) recompense(of) the wrong-doers
5:29
فَطَوَّعَتْلَهُۥنَفْسُهُۥقَتْلَأَخِيهِفَقَتَلَهُۥفَأَصْبَحَمِنَٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ
l-khāsirīnaminafa-aṣbaḥafaqatalahuakhīhiqatlanafsuhulahufaṭawwaʿat
Then promptedto himhis soul(to) killhis brotherso he killed himand becameofthe losers
5:30
فَبَعَثَٱللَّهُغُرَابًۭايَبْحَثُفِىٱلْأَرْضِلِيُرِيَهُۥكَيْفَيُوَٰرِىسَوْءَةَأَخِيهِ ۚقَالَيَـٰوَيْلَتَىٰٓأَعَجَزْتُأَنْأَكُونَمِثْلَهَـٰذَاٱلْغُرَابِفَأُوَٰرِىَسَوْءَةَأَخِى ۖفَأَصْبَحَمِنَٱلنَّـٰدِمِينَ
l-nādimīnaminafa-aṣbaḥaakhīsawatafa-uwāriyal-ghurābihādhāmith'laakūnaanaʿajaztuyāwaylatāqālaakhīhisawatayuwārīkayfaliyuriyahul-arḍifīyabḥathughurābanl-lahufabaʿatha
Then (was) sent(by) Allaha crowit (was) scratchinginthe earthto show himhowto hide(the) dead body(of) his brotherHe saidWoe to meAm I unablethatI can belikethis[the] crowand hide(the) dead body(of) my brotherThen he becameofthe regretful
5:31
مِنْأَجْلِذَٰلِكَكَتَبْنَاعَلَىٰبَنِىٓإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَأَنَّهُۥمَنقَتَلَنَفْسًۢابِغَيْرِنَفْسٍأَوْفَسَادٍۢفِىٱلْأَرْضِفَكَأَنَّمَاقَتَلَٱلنَّاسَجَمِيعًۭاوَمَنْأَحْيَاهَافَكَأَنَّمَآأَحْيَاٱلنَّاسَجَمِيعًۭا ۚوَلَقَدْجَآءَتْهُمْرُسُلُنَابِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِثُمَّإِنَّكَثِيرًۭامِّنْهُمبَعْدَذَٰلِكَفِىٱلْأَرْضِلَمُسْرِفُونَ
lamus'rifūnal-arḍifīdhālikabaʿdamin'humkathīraninnathummabil-bayinātirusulunājāathumwalaqadjamīʿanl-nāsaaḥyāfaka-annamāaḥyāhāwamanjamīʿanl-nāsaqatalafaka-annamāl-arḍifīfasādinawnafsinbighayrinafsanqatalamanannahuis'rāīlabanīʿalākatabnādhālikaajlimin
FromtimethatWe ordainedon(the) Children(of) Israelthat hewhokillsa soulother than(for) a soulor(for) spreading corruptioninthe earththen (it) is as ifhe has killedmankindalland whoeversaves itthen (it) is as ifhe has savedmankindallAnd surelycame to themOur Messengerswith clear Signsyetindeedmanyof themafterthatinthe earth(are) surely those who commit excesses
5:32
إِنَّمَاجَزَٰٓؤُا۟ٱلَّذِينَيُحَارِبُونَٱللَّهَوَرَسُولَهُۥوَيَسْعَوْنَفِىٱلْأَرْضِفَسَادًاأَنيُقَتَّلُوٓا۟أَوْيُصَلَّبُوٓا۟أَوْتُقَطَّعَأَيْدِيهِمْوَأَرْجُلُهُممِّنْخِلَـٰفٍأَوْيُنفَوْا۟مِنَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚذَٰلِكَلَهُمْخِزْىٌۭفِىٱلدُّنْيَا ۖوَلَهُمْفِىٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِعَذَابٌعَظِيمٌ
ʿaẓīmunʿadhābunl-ākhiratifīwalahuml-dun'yāfīkhiz'yunlahumdhālikal-arḍiminayunfawawkhilāfinminwa-arjuluhumaydīhimtuqaṭṭaʿaawyuṣallabūawyuqattalūanfasādanl-arḍifīwayasʿawnawarasūlahul-lahayuḥāribūnaalladhīnajazāuinnamā
Only(the) recompense(for) those whowage war(against) Allahand His Messengerand striveinthe earthspreading corruption(is) thatthey be killedorthey be crucifiedorbe cut offtheir handsand their feetofopposite sidesorthey be exiledfromthe landThat(is) for themdisgraceinthe worldand for theminthe Hereafter(is) a punishmentgreat
5:33
إِلَّاٱلَّذِينَتَابُوا۟مِنقَبْلِأَنتَقْدِرُوا۟عَلَيْهِمْ ۖفَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟أَنَّٱللَّهَغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunghafūrunl-lahaannafa-iʿ'lamūʿalayhimtaqdirūanqablimintābūalladhīnaillā
Exceptthose whorepentfrombeforethatyou overpower[over] themthen knowthatAllah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
5:34
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟ٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَٱبْتَغُوٓا۟إِلَيْهِٱلْوَسِيلَةَوَجَـٰهِدُوا۟فِىسَبِيلِهِۦلَعَلَّكُمْتُفْلِحُونَ
tuf'liḥūnalaʿallakumsabīlihifīwajāhidūl-wasīlatailayhiwa-ib'taghūl-lahaittaqūāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieveFearAllahand seektowards Himthe meansand strive hardinHis wayso that you maysucceed
5:35
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟لَوْأَنَّلَهُممَّافِىٱلْأَرْضِجَمِيعًۭاوَمِثْلَهُۥمَعَهُۥلِيَفْتَدُوا۟بِهِۦمِنْعَذَابِيَوْمِٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِمَاتُقُبِّلَمِنْهُمْ ۖوَلَهُمْعَذَابٌأَلِيمٌۭ
alīmunʿadhābunwalahummin'humtuqubbilamāl-qiyāmatiyawmiʿadhābiminbihiliyaftadūmaʿahuwamith'lahujamīʿanl-arḍifīmālahumannalawkafarūalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whodisbelieveifthatfor them(is) what(is) inthe earthalland the like of itwith itto ransom themselveswith itfrom(the) punishment(of the) Day(of) the Resurrectionnotwill be acceptedfrom themand for them(is) a punishmentpainful
5:36
يُرِيدُونَأَنيَخْرُجُوا۟مِنَٱلنَّارِوَمَاهُمبِخَـٰرِجِينَمِنْهَا ۖوَلَهُمْعَذَابٌۭمُّقِيمٌۭ
muqīmunʿadhābunwalahummin'hābikhārijīnahumwamāl-nāriminayakhrujūanyurīdūna
They will wishthatthey come outofthe Firebut nottheywill come outof itAnd for them(is) a punishmentlasting
5:37
وَٱلسَّارِقُوَٱلسَّارِقَةُفَٱقْطَعُوٓا۟أَيْدِيَهُمَاجَزَآءًۢبِمَاكَسَبَانَكَـٰلًۭامِّنَٱللَّهِ ۗوَٱللَّهُعَزِيزٌحَكِيمٌۭ
ḥakīmunʿazīzunwal-lahul-lahiminanakālankasabābimājazāanaydiyahumāfa-iq'ṭaʿūwal-sāriqatuwal-sāriqu
And (for) the male thiefand the female thief [then] cut offtheir hands(as) a recompensefor whatthey earned(as) an exemplary (punishment)fromAllahAnd Allah(is) All-MightyAll-Wise
5:38
فَمَنتَابَمِنۢبَعْدِظُلْمِهِۦوَأَصْلَحَفَإِنَّٱللَّهَيَتُوبُعَلَيْهِ ۗإِنَّٱللَّهَغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌ
raḥīmunghafūrunl-lahainnaʿalayhiyatūbul-lahafa-innawa-aṣlaḥaẓul'mihibaʿdimintābafaman
But whoeverrepentedfromafterhis wrongdoingand reformsthen indeedAllahwill turn in forgivenessto himIndeedAllah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
5:39
أَلَمْتَعْلَمْأَنَّٱللَّهَلَهُۥمُلْكُٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِيُعَذِّبُمَنيَشَآءُوَيَغْفِرُلِمَنيَشَآءُ ۗوَٱللَّهُعَلَىٰكُلِّشَىْءٍۢقَدِيرٌۭ
qadīrunshayinkulliʿalāwal-lahuyashāulimanwayaghfiruyashāumanyuʿadhibuwal-arḍil-samāwātimul'kulahul-lahaannataʿlamalam
Do notyou knowthatAllahto Him (belongs)(the) dominion(of) the heavensand the earthHe punisheswhomHe willsand He forgives[to] whomHe willsAnd Allah(is) oneverythingAll-Powerful
5:40
۞ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلرَّسُولُلَايَحْزُنكَٱلَّذِينَيُسَـٰرِعُونَفِىٱلْكُفْرِمِنَٱلَّذِينَقَالُوٓا۟ءَامَنَّابِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْوَلَمْتُؤْمِنقُلُوبُهُمْ ۛوَمِنَٱلَّذِينَهَادُوا۟ ۛسَمَّـٰعُونَلِلْكَذِبِسَمَّـٰعُونَلِقَوْمٍءَاخَرِينَلَمْيَأْتُوكَ ۖيُحَرِّفُونَٱلْكَلِمَمِنۢبَعْدِمَوَاضِعِهِۦ ۖيَقُولُونَإِنْأُوتِيتُمْهَـٰذَافَخُذُوهُوَإِنلَّمْتُؤْتَوْهُفَٱحْذَرُوا۟ ۚوَمَنيُرِدِٱللَّهُفِتْنَتَهُۥفَلَنتَمْلِكَلَهُۥمِنَٱللَّهِشَيْـًٔا ۚأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَٱلَّذِينَلَمْيُرِدِٱللَّهُأَنيُطَهِّرَقُلُوبَهُمْ ۚلَهُمْفِىٱلدُّنْيَاخِزْىٌۭ ۖوَلَهُمْفِىٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِعَذَابٌعَظِيمٌۭ
ʿaẓīmunʿadhābunl-ākhiratifīwalahumkhiz'yunl-dun'yāfīlahumqulūbahumyuṭahhiraanl-lahuyuridilamalladhīnaulāikashayanl-lahiminalahutamlikafalanfit'natahul-lahuyuridiwamanfa-iḥ'dharūtu'tawhulamwa-infakhudhūhuhādhāūtītuminyaqūlūnamawāḍiʿihibaʿdiminl-kalimayuḥarrifūnayatūkalamākharīnaliqawminsammāʿūnalil'kadhibisammāʿūnahādūalladhīnawaminaqulūbuhumtu'minwalambi-afwāhihimāmannāqālūalladhīnaminal-kuf'rifīyusāriʿūnaalladhīnayaḥzunkalāl-rasūluyāayyuhā
OMessengerLet notgrieve youthose whohastenin (to)[the] disbelief ofthose whosaidWe believewith their mouthsand notbelievetheir heartsand fromthose who(are) JewsThey (are) listenersto falsehood(and) listenersfor peopleother(who have) notcome to youThey distortthe wordsfromaftertheir contextsayingIfyou are giventhis[so] take itbut ifnotyou are given itthen bewareAnd (for) whomintendsAllahhis trialthen neverwill you have powerfor himagainstAllahanythingThose(are) the onesneverwill intendAllahthatHe purifiestheir heartsFor theminthe world(is) disgraceand for theminthe Hereafter(is) a punishmentgreat
5:41
سَمَّـٰعُونَلِلْكَذِبِأَكَّـٰلُونَلِلسُّحْتِ ۚفَإِنجَآءُوكَفَٱحْكُمبَيْنَهُمْأَوْأَعْرِضْعَنْهُمْ ۖوَإِنتُعْرِضْعَنْهُمْفَلَنيَضُرُّوكَشَيْـًۭٔا ۖوَإِنْحَكَمْتَفَٱحْكُمبَيْنَهُمبِٱلْقِسْطِ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَيُحِبُّٱلْمُقْسِطِينَ
l-muq'siṭīnayuḥibbul-lahainnabil-qis'ṭibaynahumfa-uḥ'kumḥakamtawa-inshayanyaḍurrūkafalanʿanhumtuʿ'riḍwa-inʿanhumaʿriḍawbaynahumfa-uḥ'kumjāūkafa-inlilssuḥ'tiakkālūnalil'kadhibisammāʿūna
Listenersto [the] falsehooddevourersof the forbiddenSo ifthey come to youthen judgebetween themorturn awayfrom themAnd ifyou turn awayfrom themthen neverwill they harm you(in) anythingAnd ifyou judgethen judgebetween themwith [the] justiceIndeedAllahlovesthe ones who are just
5:42
وَكَيْفَيُحَكِّمُونَكَوَعِندَهُمُٱلتَّوْرَىٰةُفِيهَاحُكْمُٱللَّهِثُمَّيَتَوَلَّوْنَمِنۢبَعْدِذَٰلِكَ ۚوَمَآأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَبِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
bil-mu'minīnaulāikawamādhālikabaʿdiminyatawallawnathummal-lahiḥuk'mufīhāl-tawrātuwaʿindahumuyuḥakkimūnakawakayfa
But how canthey appoint you a judgewhile they (have) with themthe Tauratin it(is the) Command(of) AllahThenthey turn awayfromafterthatand notthose(are) the believers
5:43
إِنَّآأَنزَلْنَاٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَفِيهَاهُدًۭىوَنُورٌۭ ۚيَحْكُمُبِهَاٱلنَّبِيُّونَٱلَّذِينَأَسْلَمُوا۟لِلَّذِينَهَادُوا۟وَٱلرَّبَّـٰنِيُّونَوَٱلْأَحْبَارُبِمَاٱسْتُحْفِظُوا۟مِنكِتَـٰبِٱللَّهِوَكَانُوا۟عَلَيْهِشُهَدَآءَ ۚفَلَاتَخْشَوُا۟ٱلنَّاسَوَٱخْشَوْنِوَلَاتَشْتَرُوا۟بِـَٔايَـٰتِىثَمَنًۭاقَلِيلًۭا ۚوَمَنلَّمْيَحْكُمبِمَآأَنزَلَٱللَّهُفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ
l-kāfirūnahumufa-ulāikal-lahuanzalabimāyaḥkumlamwamanqalīlanthamananbiāyātītashtarūwalāwa-ikh'shawnil-nāsatakhshawūfalāshuhadāaʿalayhiwakānūl-lahikitābiminus'tuḥ'fiẓūbimāwal-aḥbāruwal-rabāniyūnahādūlilladhīnaaslamūalladhīnal-nabiyūnabihāyaḥkumuwanūrunhudanfīhāl-tawrātaanzalnāinnā
IndeedWe revealedthe Tauratin it(was) Guidanceand lightjudgedby itthe Prophetsthose whohad submitted (to Allah)for those whowere Jewsand the Rabbisand the scholarswith whatthey were entrustedof(the) Book(of) Allahand they wereto itwitnessesSo (do) notfearthe peoplebut fear Meand (do) notsellMy Verses(for) a pricelittleAnd whoever(does) notjudgeby whathas revealedAllahthen those[they](are) the disbelievers
5:44
وَكَتَبْنَاعَلَيْهِمْفِيهَآأَنَّٱلنَّفْسَبِٱلنَّفْسِوَٱلْعَيْنَبِٱلْعَيْنِوَٱلْأَنفَبِٱلْأَنفِوَٱلْأُذُنَبِٱلْأُذُنِوَٱلسِّنَّبِٱلسِّنِّوَٱلْجُرُوحَقِصَاصٌۭ ۚفَمَنتَصَدَّقَبِهِۦفَهُوَكَفَّارَةٌۭلَّهُۥ ۚوَمَنلَّمْيَحْكُمبِمَآأَنزَلَٱللَّهُفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ
l-ẓālimūnahumufa-ulāikal-lahuanzalabimāyaḥkumlamwamanlahukaffāratunfahuwabihitaṣaddaqafamanqiṣāṣunwal-jurūḥabil-siniwal-sinabil-udhuniwal-udhunabil-anfiwal-anfabil-ʿayniwal-ʿaynabil-nafsil-nafsaannafīhāʿalayhimwakatabnā
And We ordainedfor themin itthat the lifefor the lifeand the eyefor the eyeand the nosefor the noseand the earfor the earand the toothfor the toothand (for) wounds(is) retributionBut whoevergives charitywith itthen it isan expiationfor himAnd whoever(does) notjudgeby whathas revealedAllahthen those[they](are) the wrongdoers
5:45
وَقَفَّيْنَاعَلَىٰٓءَاثَـٰرِهِمبِعِيسَىٱبْنِمَرْيَمَمُصَدِّقًۭالِّمَابَيْنَيَدَيْهِمِنَٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ ۖوَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُٱلْإِنجِيلَفِيهِهُدًۭىوَنُورٌۭوَمُصَدِّقًۭالِّمَابَيْنَيَدَيْهِمِنَٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِوَهُدًۭىوَمَوْعِظَةًۭلِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
lil'muttaqīnawamawʿiẓatanwahudanl-tawrātiminayadayhibaynalimāwamuṣaddiqanwanūrunhudanfīhil-injīlawaātaynāhul-tawrātiminayadayhibaynalimāmuṣaddiqanmaryamaib'nibiʿīsāāthārihimʿalāwaqaffaynā
And We sentontheir footstepsIsason(of) Maryamconfirmingwhat(was) betweenhis handsofthe Tauratand We gave himthe Injeelin it(was) Guidanceand lightand confirmingwhat(was) betweenhis handsofthe Tauratand a Guidanceand an admonitionfor the God conscious
5:46
وَلْيَحْكُمْأَهْلُٱلْإِنجِيلِبِمَآأَنزَلَٱللَّهُفِيهِ ۚوَمَنلَّمْيَحْكُمبِمَآأَنزَلَٱللَّهُفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَ
l-fāsiqūnahumufa-ulāikal-lahuanzalabimāyaḥkumlamwamanfīhil-lahuanzalabimāl-injīliahluwalyaḥkum
And let judge(the) People(of) the Injeelby whathas revealedAllahin itAnd whoever(does) notjudgeby whathas revealedAllahthen those[they] (are)the defiantly disobedient
5:47
وَأَنزَلْنَآإِلَيْكَٱلْكِتَـٰبَبِٱلْحَقِّمُصَدِّقًۭالِّمَابَيْنَيَدَيْهِمِنَٱلْكِتَـٰبِوَمُهَيْمِنًاعَلَيْهِ ۖفَٱحْكُمبَيْنَهُمبِمَآأَنزَلَٱللَّهُ ۖوَلَاتَتَّبِعْأَهْوَآءَهُمْعَمَّاجَآءَكَمِنَٱلْحَقِّ ۚلِكُلٍّۢجَعَلْنَامِنكُمْشِرْعَةًۭوَمِنْهَاجًۭا ۚوَلَوْشَآءَٱللَّهُلَجَعَلَكُمْأُمَّةًۭوَٰحِدَةًۭوَلَـٰكِنلِّيَبْلُوَكُمْفِىمَآءَاتَىٰكُمْ ۖفَٱسْتَبِقُوا۟ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ ۚإِلَىٱللَّهِمَرْجِعُكُمْجَمِيعًۭافَيُنَبِّئُكُمبِمَاكُنتُمْفِيهِتَخْتَلِفُونَ
takhtalifūnafīhikuntumbimāfayunabbi-ukumjamīʿanmarjiʿukuml-lahiilāl-khayrātifa-is'tabiqūātākummāfīliyabluwakumwalākinwāḥidatanummatanlajaʿalakuml-lahushāawalawwamin'hājanshir'ʿatanminkumjaʿalnālikullinl-ḥaqiminajāakaʿammāahwāahumtattabiʿwalāl-lahuanzalabimābaynahumfa-uḥ'kumʿalayhiwamuhayminanl-kitābiminayadayhibaynalimāmuṣaddiqanbil-ḥaqil-kitābailaykawa-anzalnā
And We revealedto youthe Bookin [the] truthconfirmingwhat(was) beforehis handsofthe Bookand a guardianover itSo judgebetween themby whathas revealedAllahand (do) notfollowtheir vain desireswhenhas come to youofthe truthFor eachWe have madefor youa lawand a clear wayAnd if(had) willedAllahHe (would have) made youa communityone[and] butto test youinwhatHe (has) given youso race(to) the goodToAllahyou will returnallthen He will inform youof whatyou wereconcerning itdiffering
5:48
وَأَنِٱحْكُمبَيْنَهُمبِمَآأَنزَلَٱللَّهُوَلَاتَتَّبِعْأَهْوَآءَهُمْوَٱحْذَرْهُمْأَنيَفْتِنُوكَعَنۢبَعْضِمَآأَنزَلَٱللَّهُإِلَيْكَ ۖفَإِنتَوَلَّوْا۟فَٱعْلَمْأَنَّمَايُرِيدُٱللَّهُأَنيُصِيبَهُمبِبَعْضِذُنُوبِهِمْ ۗوَإِنَّكَثِيرًۭامِّنَٱلنَّاسِلَفَـٰسِقُونَ
lafāsiqūnal-nāsiminakathīranwa-innadhunūbihimbibaʿḍiyuṣībahumanl-lahuyurīduannamāfa-iʿ'lamtawallawfa-inilaykal-lahuanzalamābaʿḍiʿanyaftinūkaanwa-iḥ'dharhumahwāahumtattabiʿwalāl-lahuanzalabimābaynahumuḥ'kumwa-ani
And thatyou judgebetween themby what(has) revealedAllahand (do) notfollowtheir vain desiresand beware of themlestthey tempt you awayfromsome(of) whathas revealedAllahto youAnd ifthey turn awaythen know thatonlyintendsAllahtoafflict themfor some(of) their sinsAnd indeedmanyofthe people(are) defiantly disobedient
5:49
أَفَحُكْمَٱلْجَـٰهِلِيَّةِيَبْغُونَ ۚوَمَنْأَحْسَنُمِنَٱللَّهِحُكْمًۭالِّقَوْمٍۢيُوقِنُونَ
yūqinūnaliqawminḥuk'manl-lahiminaaḥsanuwamanyabghūnal-jāhiliyatiafaḥuk'ma
Is it then the judgment(of the time of) ignorancethey seekAnd who (is)betterthanAllah(in) judgmentfor a people(who) firmly believe
5:50
۞ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟لَاتَتَّخِذُوا۟ٱلْيَهُودَوَٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰٓأَوْلِيَآءَ ۘبَعْضُهُمْأَوْلِيَآءُبَعْضٍۢ ۚوَمَنيَتَوَلَّهُممِّنكُمْفَإِنَّهُۥمِنْهُمْ ۗإِنَّٱللَّهَلَايَهْدِىٱلْقَوْمَٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnal-qawmayahdīlāl-lahainnamin'humfa-innahuminkumyatawallahumwamanbaʿḍinawliyāubaʿḍuhumawliyāawal-naṣārāl-yahūdatattakhidhūlāāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieve(Do) nottakethe Jewsand the Christians(as) alliesSome of them(are) allies(to) othersAnd whoevertakes them as alliesamong youthen indeed, he(is) of themIndeedAllah(does) notguidethe peoplethe wrongdoing
5:51
فَتَرَىٱلَّذِينَفِىقُلُوبِهِممَّرَضٌۭيُسَـٰرِعُونَفِيهِمْيَقُولُونَنَخْشَىٰٓأَنتُصِيبَنَادَآئِرَ ةٌۭ ۚفَعَسَىٱللَّهُأَنيَأْتِىَبِٱلْفَتْحِأَوْأَمْرٍۢمِّنْعِندِهِۦفَيُصْبِحُوا۟عَلَىٰمَآأَسَرُّوا۟فِىٓأَنفُسِهِمْنَـٰدِمِينَ
nādimīnaanfusihimfīasarrūmāʿalāfayuṣ'biḥūʿindihiminamrinawbil-fatḥiyatiyaanl-lahufaʿasādāiratuntuṣībanāannakhshāyaqūlūnafīhimyusāriʿūnamaraḍunqulūbihimfīalladhīnafatarā
And you seethose intheir hearts(is) a diseasethey hastento themsayingWe fearthat(may) strike usa misfortuneBut perhapsAllah[that]will bringthe victoryora decisionfrom(of) HimThen they will becomeforwhatthey had concealedwithinthemselvesregretful
5:52
وَيَقُولُٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوٓا۟أَهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِٱلَّذِينَأَقْسَمُوا۟بِٱللَّهِجَهْدَأَيْمَـٰنِهِمْ ۙإِنَّهُمْلَمَعَكُمْ ۚحَبِطَتْأَعْمَـٰلُهُمْفَأَصْبَحُوا۟خَـٰسِرِينَ
khāsirīnafa-aṣbaḥūaʿmāluhumḥabiṭatlamaʿakuminnahumaymānihimjahdabil-lahiaqsamūalladhīnaahāulāiāmanūalladhīnawayaqūlu
And will saythose whobelieveAre thesethose whosworeby Allahstrongest(of) their oathsindeed, they(were) with youBecame worthlesstheir deedsand they became(the) losers
5:53
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟مَنيَرْتَدَّمِنكُمْعَندِينِهِۦفَسَوْفَيَأْتِىٱللَّهُبِقَوْمٍۢيُحِبُّهُمْوَيُحِبُّونَهُۥٓأَذِلَّةٍعَلَىٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَأَعِزَّةٍعَلَىٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَيُجَـٰهِدُونَفِىسَبِيلِٱللَّهِوَلَايَخَافُونَلَوْمَةَلَآئِمٍۢ ۚذَٰلِكَفَضْلُٱللَّهِيُؤْتِيهِمَنيَشَآءُ ۚوَٱللَّهُوَٰسِعٌعَلِيمٌ
ʿalīmunwāsiʿunwal-lahuyashāumanyu'tīhil-lahifaḍludhālikalāiminlawmatayakhāfūnawalāl-lahisabīlifīyujāhidūnal-kāfirīnaʿalāaʿizzatinl-mu'minīnaʿalāadhillatinwayuḥibbūnahuyuḥibbuhumbiqawminl-lahuyatīfasawfadīnihiʿanminkumyartaddamanāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieveWhoeverturns backamong youfromhis religionthen soon(will be) brought(by) Allaha peoplewhom He lovesand they love Himhumbletowardsthe believers(and) sterntowardsthe disbelieversstrivingin(the) way(of) Allahand notfearingthe blame(of) a criticThat(is the) Grace(of) AllahHe grantswhomHe willsAnd Allah(is) All-EncompassingAll-Knowing
5:54
إِنَّمَاوَلِيُّكُمُٱللَّهُوَرَسُولُهُۥوَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟ٱلَّذِينَيُقِيمُونَٱلصَّلَوٰةَوَيُؤْتُونَٱلزَّكَوٰةَوَهُمْرَٰكِعُونَ
rākiʿūnawahuml-zakatawayu'tūnal-ṣalatayuqīmūnaalladhīnaāmanūwa-alladhīnawarasūluhul-lahuwaliyyukumuinnamā
Onlyyour ally(is) Allahand His Messengerand those whobelieveand those whoestablishthe prayerand givezakahand they(are) those who bow down
5:55
وَمَنيَتَوَلَّٱللَّهَوَرَسُولَهُۥوَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟فَإِنَّحِزْبَٱللَّهِهُمُٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ
l-ghālibūnahumul-lahiḥiz'bafa-innaāmanūwa-alladhīnawarasūlahul-lahayatawallawaman
And whoevertakes as an allyAllahand His Messengerand those whobelievethen indeed(the) party(of) Allah they(are) the victorious
5:56
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟لَاتَتَّخِذُوا۟ٱلَّذِينَٱتَّخَذُوا۟دِينَكُمْهُزُوًۭاوَلَعِبًۭامِّنَٱلَّذِينَأُوتُوا۟ٱلْكِتَـٰبَمِنقَبْلِكُمْوَٱلْكُفَّارَأَوْلِيَآءَ ۚوَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَإِنكُنتُممُّؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnakuntuminl-lahawa-ittaqūawliyāawal-kufāraqablikumminl-kitābaūtūalladhīnaminawalaʿibanhuzuwandīnakumittakhadhūalladhīnatattakhidhūlāāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieve(Do) nottakethose whotakeyour religion(in) ridiculeand funfromthose whoare giventhe Bookfrombefore youand the disbelievers(as) alliesAnd fearAllahifyou arebelievers
5:57
وَإِذَانَادَيْتُمْإِلَىٱلصَّلَوٰةِٱتَّخَذُوهَاهُزُوًۭاوَلَعِبًۭا ۚذَٰلِكَبِأَنَّهُمْقَوْمٌۭلَّايَعْقِلُونَ
yaʿqilūnalāqawmunbi-annahumdhālikawalaʿibanhuzuwanittakhadhūhāl-ṣalatiilānādaytumwa-idhā
And whenyou make a callforthe prayerthey take it(in) ridiculeand funThat(is) because they(are) a people(who do) notunderstand
5:58
قُلْيَـٰٓأَهْلَٱلْكِتَـٰبِهَلْتَنقِمُونَمِنَّآإِلَّآأَنْءَامَنَّابِٱللَّهِوَمَآأُنزِلَإِلَيْنَاوَمَآأُنزِلَمِنقَبْلُوَأَنَّأَكْثَرَكُمْفَـٰسِقُونَ
fāsiqūnaaktharakumwa-annaqabluminunzilawamāilaynāunzilawamābil-lahiāmannāanillāminnātanqimūnahall-kitābiyāahlaqul
SayO People(of) the BookDoyou resent[of] usexceptthatwe believein Allahand whathas been revealedto usand whatwas revealedfrombeforeand thatmost of you(are) defiantly disobedient
5:59
قُلْهَلْأُنَبِّئُكُمبِشَرٍّۢمِّنذَٰلِكَمَثُوبَةًعِندَٱللَّهِ ۚمَنلَّعَنَهُٱللَّهُوَغَضِبَعَلَيْهِوَجَعَلَمِنْهُمُٱلْقِرَدَةَوَٱلْخَنَازِيرَوَعَبَدَٱلطَّـٰغُوتَ ۚأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَشَرٌّۭمَّكَانًۭاوَأَضَلُّعَنسَوَآءِٱلسَّبِيلِ
l-sabīlisawāiʿanwa-aḍallumakānansharrunulāikal-ṭāghūtawaʿabadawal-khanāzīral-qiradatamin'humuwajaʿalaʿalayhiwaghaḍibal-lahulaʿanahumanl-lahiʿindamathūbatandhālikaminbisharrinunabbi-ukumhalqul
SayShallI inform you(of) worsethanthat(as) recompensefromAllahWhomhas (been) cursed(by) Allahand He became angrywith himand madeof them[the] apesand [the] swinesand (who) worshippedthe false deitiesThose(are) worse(in) positionand farthest astrayfrom(the) evenway
5:60
وَإِذَاجَآءُوكُمْقَالُوٓا۟ءَامَنَّاوَقَددَّخَلُوا۟بِٱلْكُفْرِوَهُمْقَدْخَرَجُوا۟بِهِۦ ۚوَٱللَّهُأَعْلَمُبِمَاكَانُوا۟يَكْتُمُونَ
yaktumūnakānūbimāaʿlamuwal-lahubihikharajūqadwahumbil-kuf'ridakhalūwaqadāmannāqālūjāūkumwa-idhā
And whenthey come to youthey sayWe believeBut certainlythey enteredwith disbeliefand theycertainlywent outwith itAnd Allahknows best[of] whatthey werehiding
5:61
وَتَرَىٰكَثِيرًۭامِّنْهُمْيُسَـٰرِعُونَفِىٱلْإِثْمِوَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِوَأَكْلِهِمُٱلسُّحْتَ ۚلَبِئْسَمَاكَانُوا۟يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnakānūmālabi'sal-suḥ'tawa-aklihimuwal-ʿud'wānil-ith'mifīyusāriʿūnamin'humkathīranwatarā
And you seemanyof themhasteninginto[the] sinand [the] transgressionand eatingthe forbiddenSurely evil(is) whatthey weredoing
5:62
لَوْلَايَنْهَىٰهُمُٱلرَّبَّـٰنِيُّونَوَٱلْأَحْبَارُعَنقَوْلِهِمُٱلْإِثْمَوَأَكْلِهِمُٱلسُّحْتَ ۚلَبِئْسَمَاكَانُوا۟يَصْنَعُونَ
yaṣnaʿūnakānūmālabi'sal-suḥ'tawa-aklihimul-ith'maqawlihimuʿanwal-aḥbārul-rabāniyūnayanhāhumulawlā
Why (do) notforbid themthe Rabbisand the religious scholarsfromtheir sayingthe sinfuland their eating(of) the forbiddenSurely, evil(is) whatthey used todo
5:63
وَقَالَتِٱلْيَهُودُيَدُٱللَّهِمَغْلُولَةٌ ۚغُلَّتْأَيْدِيهِمْوَلُعِنُوا۟بِمَاقَالُوا۟ ۘبَلْيَدَاهُمَبْسُوطَتَانِيُنفِقُكَيْفَيَشَآءُ ۚوَلَيَزِيدَنَّكَثِيرًۭامِّنْهُممَّآأُنزِلَإِلَيْكَمِنرَّبِّكَطُغْيَـٰنًۭاوَكُفْرًۭا ۚوَأَلْقَيْنَابَيْنَهُمُٱلْعَدَٰوَةَوَٱلْبَغْضَآءَإِلَىٰيَوْمِٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۚكُلَّمَآأَوْقَدُوا۟نَارًۭالِّلْحَرْبِأَطْفَأَهَاٱللَّهُ ۚوَيَسْعَوْنَفِىٱلْأَرْضِفَسَادًۭا ۚوَٱللَّهُلَايُحِبُّٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
l-muf'sidīnayuḥibbulāwal-lahufasādanl-arḍifīwayasʿawnal-lahuaṭfa-ahālil'ḥarbināranawqadūkullamāl-qiyāmatiyawmiilāwal-baghḍāal-ʿadāwatabaynahumuwa-alqaynāwakuf'ranṭugh'yānanrabbikaminilaykaunzilamāmin'humkathīranwalayazīdannayashāukayfayunfiqumabsūṭatāniyadāhubalqālūbimāwaluʿinūaydīhimghullatmaghlūlatunl-lahiyadul-yahūduwaqālati
And saidthe JewsThe Hand(of) Allah(is) chainedAre chainedtheir handsand they have been cursedfor whatthey saidNayHis Hands(are) stretched outHe spendshowHe willsAnd surely increasemanyof themwhathas been revealedto youfromyour Lord(in) rebellionand disbeliefAnd We have castamong them[the] enmityand [the] hatredtill(the) Day(of) the ResurrectionEvery timethey kindled(the) fireof [the] warit (was) extinguished(by) AllahAnd they striveinthe earthspreading corruptionAnd Allah(does) notlovethe corrupters
5:64
وَلَوْأَنَّأَهْلَٱلْكِتَـٰبِءَامَنُوا۟وَٱتَّقَوْا۟لَكَفَّرْنَاعَنْهُمْسَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْوَلَأَدْخَلْنَـٰهُمْجَنَّـٰتِٱلنَّعِيمِ
l-naʿīmijannātiwala-adkhalnāhumsayyiātihimʿanhumlakaffarnāwa-ittaqawāmanūl-kitābiahlaannawalaw
And ifthat(the) People(of) the Book(had) believedand feared (Allah)surely We (would have) removedfrom themtheir evil (deeds)and surely We (would have) admitted them(to) Gardens(of) Bliss
5:65
وَلَوْأَنَّهُمْأَقَامُوا۟ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَوَٱلْإِنجِيلَوَمَآأُنزِلَإِلَيْهِممِّنرَّبِّهِمْلَأَكَلُوا۟مِنفَوْقِهِمْوَمِنتَحْتِأَرْجُلِهِم ۚمِّنْهُمْأُمَّةٌۭمُّقْتَصِدَةٌۭ ۖوَكَثِيرٌۭمِّنْهُمْسَآءَمَايَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnamāsāamin'humwakathīrunmuq'taṣidatunummatunmin'humarjulihimtaḥtiwaminfawqihimminla-akalūrabbihimminilayhimunzilawamāwal-injīlal-tawrātaaqāmūannahumwalaw
And ifthat theyhad stood firmly(by) the Tauratand the Injeeland whatwas revealedto themfromtheir Lordsurely they (would have) eatenfromabove themand frombeneaththeir feetAmong them(is) a communitymoderatebut manyof them evil(is) whatthey do
5:66
۞ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلرَّسُولُبَلِّغْمَآأُنزِلَإِلَيْكَمِنرَّبِّكَ ۖوَإِنلَّمْتَفْعَلْفَمَابَلَّغْتَرِسَالَتَهُۥ ۚوَٱللَّهُيَعْصِمُكَمِنَٱلنَّاسِ ۗإِنَّٱللَّهَلَايَهْدِىٱلْقَوْمَٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīnal-qawmayahdīlāl-lahainnal-nāsiminayaʿṣimukawal-lahurisālatahuballaghtafamātafʿallamwa-inrabbikaminilaykaunzilamāballighl-rasūluyāayyuhā
OMessengerConveywhathas been revealedto youfromyour Lordand ifnotyou dothen notyou (have) conveyedHis MessageAnd Allahwill protect youfromthe peopleIndeedAllah(does) notguidethe peoplethe disbelieving
5:67
قُلْيَـٰٓأَهْلَٱلْكِتَـٰبِلَسْتُمْعَلَىٰشَىْءٍحَتَّىٰتُقِيمُوا۟ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَوَٱلْإِنجِيلَوَمَآأُنزِلَإِلَيْكُممِّنرَّبِّكُمْ ۗوَلَيَزِيدَنَّكَثِيرًۭامِّنْهُممَّآأُنزِلَإِلَيْكَمِنرَّبِّكَطُغْيَـٰنًۭاوَكُفْرًۭا ۖفَلَاتَأْسَعَلَىٱلْقَوْمِٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīnal-qawmiʿalātasafalāwakuf'ranṭugh'yānanrabbikaminilaykaunzilamāmin'humkathīranwalayazīdannarabbikumminilaykumunzilawamāwal-injīlal-tawrātatuqīmūḥattāshayinʿalālastuml-kitābiyāahlaqul
SayO People(of) the BookYou are notonanythinguntilyou stand firmly(by) the Tauratand the Injeeland whathas been revealedto youfromyour LordAnd surely increasemanyof themwhathas been revealedto youfromyour Lord(in) rebellionand disbeliefSo (do) notgrieveoverthe peoplethe disbelieving
5:68
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَٱلَّذِينَهَادُوا۟وَٱلصَّـٰبِـُٔونَوَٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰمَنْءَامَنَبِٱللَّهِوَٱلْيَوْمِٱلْـَٔاخِرِوَعَمِلَصَـٰلِحًۭافَلَاخَوْفٌعَلَيْهِمْوَلَاهُمْيَحْزَنُونَ
yaḥzanūnahumwalāʿalayhimkhawfunfalāṣāliḥanwaʿamilal-ākhiriwal-yawmibil-lahiāmanamanwal-naṣārāwal-ṣābiūnahādūwa-alladhīnaāmanūalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whobelievedand those whobecame Jewsand the Sabiansand the Christianswhoeverbelievedin Allahand the Daythe Lastand didgood deedsthen nofearon themand nottheywill grieve
5:69
لَقَدْأَخَذْنَامِيثَـٰقَبَنِىٓإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَوَأَرْسَلْنَآإِلَيْهِمْرُسُلًۭا ۖكُلَّمَاجَآءَهُمْرَسُولٌۢبِمَالَاتَهْوَىٰٓأَنفُسُهُمْفَرِيقًۭاكَذَّبُوا۟وَفَرِيقًۭايَقْتُلُونَ
yaqtulūnawafarīqankadhabūfarīqananfusuhumtahwālābimārasūlunjāahumkullamārusulanilayhimwa-arsalnāis'rāīlabanīmīthāqaakhadhnālaqad
CertainlyWe tooka Covenant(from the) Children(of) Israeland We sentto themMessengersWhenevercame to themany Messengerwith whatnotdesiredtheir soulsa groupthey deniedand a groupthey kill
5:70
وَحَسِبُوٓا۟أَلَّاتَكُونَفِتْنَةٌۭفَعَمُوا۟وَصَمُّوا۟ثُمَّتَابَٱللَّهُعَلَيْهِمْثُمَّعَمُوا۟وَصَمُّوا۟كَثِيرٌۭمِّنْهُمْ ۚوَٱللَّهُبَصِيرٌۢبِمَايَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnabimābaṣīrunwal-lahumin'humkathīrunwaṣammūʿamūthummaʿalayhiml-lahutābathummawaṣammūfaʿamūfit'natuntakūnaallāwaḥasibū
And they thoughtthat notwill be (for them)a trialso they became blindand they became deafThenturnedAllahto themthen (again)they became blindand they became deafmanyof themAnd Allah(is) All-Seerof whatthey do
5:71
لَقَدْكَفَرَٱلَّذِينَقَالُوٓا۟إِنَّٱللَّهَهُوَٱلْمَسِيحُٱبْنُمَرْيَمَ ۖوَقَالَٱلْمَسِيحُيَـٰبَنِىٓإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَٱعْبُدُوا۟ٱللَّهَرَبِّىوَرَبَّكُمْ ۖإِنَّهُۥمَنيُشْرِكْبِٱللَّهِفَقَدْحَرَّمَٱللَّهُعَلَيْهِٱلْجَنَّةَوَمَأْوَىٰهُٱلنَّارُ ۖوَمَالِلظَّـٰلِمِينَمِنْأَنصَارٍۢ
anṣārinminlilẓẓālimīnawamāl-nāruwamawāhul-janataʿalayhil-lahuḥarramafaqadbil-lahiyush'rikmaninnahuwarabbakumrabbīl-lahauʿ'budūis'rāīlayābanīl-masīḥuwaqālamaryamaub'nul-masīḥuhuwal-lahainnaqālūalladhīnakafaralaqad
Certainlydisbelievedthose whosayIndeedAllah He(is) the Messiahson(of) MaryamWhile saidthe MessiahO Children(of) IsraelWorshipAllahmy Lordand your LordIndeed, hewhoassociates partnerswith Allahthen surely(has) forbiddenAllahfor himParadiseand his abode(will be) the FireAnd notfor the wrongdoersanyhelpers
5:72
لَّقَدْكَفَرَٱلَّذِينَقَالُوٓا۟إِنَّٱللَّهَثَالِثُثَلَـٰثَةٍۢ ۘوَمَامِنْإِلَـٰهٍإِلَّآإِلَـٰهٌۭوَٰحِدٌۭ ۚوَإِنلَّمْيَنتَهُوا۟عَمَّايَقُولُونَلَيَمَسَّنَّٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟مِنْهُمْعَذَابٌأَلِيمٌ
alīmunʿadhābunmin'humkafarūalladhīnalayamassannayaqūlūnaʿammāyantahūlamwa-inwāḥidunilāhunillāilāhinminwamāthalāthatinthālithul-lahainnaqālūalladhīnakafaralaqad
Certainlydisbelievedthose whosayIndeedAllah(is the) third(of) threeAnd (there is) no[of]godexcept(the) God(the) OneAnd ifnotthey desistfrom whatthey are sayingsurely will afflictthose whodisbelievedamong thema punishmentpainful
5:73
أَفَلَايَتُوبُونَإِلَىٱللَّهِوَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَهُۥ ۚوَٱللَّهُغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunghafūrunwal-lahuwayastaghfirūnahul-lahiilāyatūbūnaafalā
So will notthey turn in repentancetoAllahand seek His forgivenessAnd Allah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
5:74
مَّاٱلْمَسِيحُٱبْنُمَرْيَمَإِلَّارَسُولٌۭقَدْخَلَتْمِنقَبْلِهِٱلرُّسُلُوَأُمُّهُۥصِدِّيقَةٌۭ ۖكَانَايَأْكُلَانِٱلطَّعَامَ ۗٱنظُرْكَيْفَنُبَيِّنُلَهُمُٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِثُمَّٱنظُرْأَنَّىٰيُؤْفَكُونَ
yu'fakūnaannāunẓurthummal-āyātilahumunubayyinukayfaunẓurl-ṭaʿāmayakulānikānāṣiddīqatunwa-ummuhul-rusuluqablihiminkhalatqadrasūlunillāmaryamaub'nul-masīḥumā
Not(is) the Messiahson(of) Maryambuta Messengercertainlyhad passedfrombefore himthe MessengersAnd his mother(was) truthfulThey both used toeat[the] foodSeehowWe make clearto themthe Signsthenseehowthey are deluded
5:75
قُلْأَتَعْبُدُونَمِندُونِٱللَّهِمَالَايَمْلِكُلَكُمْضَرًّۭاوَلَانَفْعًۭا ۚوَٱللَّهُهُوَٱلسَّمِيعُٱلْعَلِيمُ
l-ʿalīmul-samīʿuhuwawal-lahunafʿanwalāḍarranlakumyamlikulāmāl-lahidūniminataʿbudūnaqul
SayDo you worshipfrombesidesAllahwhatnothas powerto (cause) youany harmand notany benefitwhile AllahHe(is) the All-Hearingthe All-Knowing
5:76
قُلْيَـٰٓأَهْلَٱلْكِتَـٰبِلَاتَغْلُوا۟فِىدِينِكُمْغَيْرَٱلْحَقِّوَلَاتَتَّبِعُوٓا۟أَهْوَآءَقَوْمٍۢقَدْضَلُّوا۟مِنقَبْلُوَأَضَلُّوا۟كَثِيرًۭاوَضَلُّوا۟عَنسَوَآءِٱلسَّبِيلِ
l-sabīlisawāiʿanwaḍallūkathīranwa-aḍallūqabluminḍallūqadqawminahwāatattabiʿūwalāl-ḥaqighayradīnikumfītaghlūlāl-kitābiyāahlaqul
SayO People(of) the Book(Do) notexceedinyour religionother thanthe truthand (do) notfollow(vain) desires(of) a peoplecertainlywho went astrayfrombeforeand they misledmanyand they have strayedfrom(the) right[the] way
5:77
لُعِنَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟مِنۢبَنِىٓإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَعَلَىٰلِسَانِدَاوُۥدَوَعِيسَىٱبْنِمَرْيَمَ ۚذَٰلِكَبِمَاعَصَوا۟وَّكَانُوا۟يَعْتَدُونَ
yaʿtadūnawakānūʿaṣawbimādhālikamaryamaib'niwaʿīsādāwūdalisāniʿalāis'rāīlabanīminkafarūalladhīnaluʿina
Were cursedthose whodisbelievedfrom(the) Children(of) Israelby(the) tongue(of) Dawoodand Isason(of) Maryamthat (was)becausethey disobeyedand they weretransgressing
5:78
كَانُوا۟لَايَتَنَاهَوْنَعَنمُّنكَرٍۢفَعَلُوهُ ۚلَبِئْسَمَاكَانُوا۟يَفْعَلُونَ
yafʿalūnakānūmālabi'safaʿalūhumunkarinʿanyatanāhawnalākānū
They had beennotforbidding each otherfromwrongdoingthey did [it]Surely, evil(was) whatthey weredoing
5:79
تَرَىٰكَثِيرًۭامِّنْهُمْيَتَوَلَّوْنَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟ ۚلَبِئْسَمَاقَدَّمَتْلَهُمْأَنفُسُهُمْأَنسَخِطَٱللَّهُعَلَيْهِمْوَفِىٱلْعَذَابِهُمْخَـٰلِدُونَ
khālidūnahuml-ʿadhābiwafīʿalayhiml-lahusakhiṭaananfusuhumlahumqaddamatmālabi'sakafarūalladhīnayatawallawnamin'humkathīrantarā
You seemanyof themtaking as alliesthose whodisbelievedSurely evil(is) whatsent forthfor themtheir soulsthatbecame angryAllahwith themand inthe punishmentthey(will) abide forever
5:80
وَلَوْكَانُوا۟يُؤْمِنُونَبِٱللَّهِوَٱلنَّبِىِّوَمَآأُنزِلَإِلَيْهِمَاٱتَّخَذُوهُمْأَوْلِيَآءَوَلَـٰكِنَّكَثِيرًۭامِّنْهُمْفَـٰسِقُونَ
fāsiqūnamin'humkathīranwalākinnaawliyāaittakhadhūhummāilayhiunzilawamāwal-nabiyibil-lahiyu'minūnakānūwalaw
And ifthey hadbelievedin Allahand the Prophetand whathas been revealedto himnotthey (would have) taken them(as) allies[and] butmanyof them(are) defiantly disobedient
5:81
