Basmala
۞ قَالَٱلْمَلَأُٱلَّذِينَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟مِنقَوْمِهِۦلَنُخْرِجَنَّكَيَـٰشُعَيْبُوَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟مَعَكَمِنقَرْيَتِنَآأَوْلَتَعُودُنَّفِىمِلَّتِنَا ۚقَالَأَوَلَوْكُنَّاكَـٰرِهِينَ
kārihīnakunnāawalawqālamillatināfīlataʿūdunnaawqaryatināminmaʿakaāmanūwa-alladhīnayāshuʿaybulanukh'rijannakaqawmihiminis'takbarūalladhīnal-mala-uqāla
Saidthe chiefs(of) those whowere arrogantamonghis peopleWe will surely drive you outO ShuaibAnd those who(have) believedwith youfromour cityoryou must returntoour religionHe saidEven ifwe are(the) ones who hate (it)
7:88
قَدِٱفْتَرَيْنَاعَلَىٱللَّهِكَذِبًاإِنْعُدْنَافِىمِلَّتِكُمبَعْدَإِذْنَجَّىٰنَاٱللَّهُمِنْهَا ۚوَمَايَكُونُلَنَآأَننَّعُودَفِيهَآإِلَّآأَنيَشَآءَٱللَّهُرَبُّنَا ۚوَسِعَرَبُّنَاكُلَّشَىْءٍعِلْمًا ۚعَلَىٱللَّهِتَوَكَّلْنَا ۚرَبَّنَاٱفْتَحْبَيْنَنَاوَبَيْنَقَوْمِنَابِٱلْحَقِّوَأَنتَخَيْرُٱلْفَـٰتِحِينَ
l-fātiḥīnakhayruwa-antabil-ḥaqiqawmināwabaynabaynanāif'taḥrabbanātawakkalnāl-lahiʿalāʿil'manshayinkullarabbunāwasiʿarabbunāl-lahuyashāaanillāfīhānaʿūdaanlanāyakūnuwamāmin'hāl-lahunajjānāidhbaʿdamillatikumfīʿud'nāinkadhibanl-lahiʿalāif'taraynāqadi
Verilywe would have fabricatedagainstAllaha lieifwe returnedinyour religionafter[when]saved usAllahfrom itAnd notit isfor usthatwe returnin itexceptthatwillsAllah our LordEncompasses(by) Our Lordeverything(in) knowledgeUponAllahwe put our trustOur LordDecidebetween usand betweenour peoplein truthand You(are the) Best(of) those who Decide
7:89
وَقَالَٱلْمَلَأُٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟مِنقَوْمِهِۦلَئِنِٱتَّبَعْتُمْشُعَيْبًاإِنَّكُمْإِذًۭالَّخَـٰسِرُونَ
lakhāsirūnaidhaninnakumshuʿaybanittabaʿtumla-iniqawmihiminkafarūalladhīnal-mala-uwaqāla
And saidthe chiefs(of) those whodisbelievedamonghis peopleIfyou followShuaibindeed, youthen(will be) certainly losers
7:90
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُٱلرَّجْفَةُفَأَصْبَحُوا۟فِىدَارِهِمْجَـٰثِمِينَ
jāthimīnadārihimfīfa-aṣbaḥūl-rajfatufa-akhadhathumu
Then seized themthe earthquakethen they becameintheir home(s)fallen prone
7:91
ٱلَّذِينَكَذَّبُوا۟شُعَيْبًۭاكَأَنلَّمْيَغْنَوْا۟فِيهَا ۚٱلَّذِينَكَذَّبُوا۟شُعَيْبًۭاكَانُوا۟هُمُٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ
l-khāsirīnahumukānūshuʿaybankadhabūalladhīnafīhāyaghnawlamka-anshuʿaybankadhabūalladhīna
Those whodeniedShuaib(became) as ifnotthey (had) livedthereinThose whodeniedShuaibthey werethemthe losers
7:92
فَتَوَلَّىٰعَنْهُمْوَقَالَيَـٰقَوْمِلَقَدْأَبْلَغْتُكُمْرِسَـٰلَـٰتِرَبِّىوَنَصَحْتُلَكُمْ ۖفَكَيْفَءَاسَىٰعَلَىٰقَوْمٍۢكَـٰفِرِينَ
kāfirīnaqawminʿalāāsāfakayfalakumwanaṣaḥturabbīrisālātiablaghtukumlaqadyāqawmiwaqālaʿanhumfatawallā
So he turned awayfrom themand saidO my peopleVerilyI (have) conveyed to you(the) Messages(of) my Lordand advised[to] youSo how couldI grievefora people(who are) disbelievers
7:93
وَمَآأَرْسَلْنَافِىقَرْيَةٍۢمِّننَّبِىٍّإِلَّآأَخَذْنَآأَهْلَهَابِٱلْبَأْسَآءِوَٱلضَّرَّآءِلَعَلَّهُمْيَضَّرَّعُونَ
yaḍḍarraʿūnalaʿallahumwal-ḍarāibil-basāiahlahāakhadhnāillānabiyyinminqaryatinfīarsalnāwamā
And notWe sentina cityanyProphetexceptWe seizedits peoplewith adversityand hardshipso that they may(become) humble
7:94
ثُمَّبَدَّلْنَامَكَانَٱلسَّيِّئَةِٱلْحَسَنَةَحَتَّىٰعَفَوا۟وَّقَالُوا۟قَدْمَسَّءَابَآءَنَاٱلضَّرَّآءُوَٱلسَّرَّآءُفَأَخَذْنَـٰهُمبَغْتَةًۭوَهُمْلَايَشْعُرُونَ
yashʿurūnalāwahumbaghtatanfa-akhadhnāhumwal-sarāul-ḍarāuābāanāmassaqadwaqālūʿafawḥattāl-ḥasanatal-sayi-atimakānabaddalnāthumma
ThenWe changed(in) place(of) the badthe gooduntilthey increasedand saidVerily(had) touchedour forefathersthe adversityand the easeSo We seized themsuddenlywhile they(did) notperceive
7:95
وَلَوْأَنَّأَهْلَٱلْقُرَىٰٓءَامَنُوا۟وَٱتَّقَوْا۟لَفَتَحْنَاعَلَيْهِمبَرَكَـٰتٍۢمِّنَٱلسَّمَآءِوَٱلْأَرْضِوَلَـٰكِنكَذَّبُوا۟فَأَخَذْنَـٰهُمبِمَاكَانُوا۟يَكْسِبُونَ
yaksibūnakānūbimāfa-akhadhnāhumkadhabūwalākinwal-arḍil-samāiminabarakātinʿalayhimlafataḥnāwa-ittaqawāmanūl-qurāahlaannawalaw
And if[that]people(of) the cities(had) believedand feared Allahsurely We (would have) openedupon themblessingsfromthe heavenand the earthbutthey deniedSo We seized themfor whatthey used toearn
7:96
أَفَأَمِنَأَهْلُٱلْقُرَىٰٓأَنيَأْتِيَهُمبَأْسُنَابَيَـٰتًۭاوَهُمْنَآئِمُونَ
nāimūnawahumbayātanbasunāyatiyahumanl-qurāahluafa-amina
Then did feel secure(the) people(of) the citiesthatcomes to themOur punishment(at) nightwhile they(were) asleep
7:97
أَوَأَمِنَأَهْلُٱلْقُرَىٰٓأَنيَأْتِيَهُمبَأْسُنَاضُحًۭىوَهُمْيَلْعَبُونَ
yalʿabūnawahumḍuḥanbasunāyatiyahumanl-qurāahluawa-amina
Or felt secure(the) people(of) the citiesthatcomes to themOur punishment(in) daylightwhile they(were) playing
7:98
أَفَأَمِنُوا۟مَكْرَٱللَّهِ ۚفَلَايَأْمَنُمَكْرَٱللَّهِإِلَّاٱلْقَوْمُٱلْخَـٰسِرُونَ
l-khāsirūnal-qawmuillāl-lahimakrayamanufalāl-lahimakraafa-aminū
Then did they feel secure(from the) plan(of) AllahBut notfeel secure(from the) plan(of) Allahexceptthe people(who are) the losers
7:99
أَوَلَمْيَهْدِلِلَّذِينَيَرِثُونَٱلْأَرْضَمِنۢبَعْدِأَهْلِهَآأَنلَّوْنَشَآءُأَصَبْنَـٰهُمبِذُنُوبِهِمْ ۚوَنَطْبَعُعَلَىٰقُلُوبِهِمْفَهُمْلَايَسْمَعُونَ
yasmaʿūnalāfahumqulūbihimʿalāwanaṭbaʿubidhunūbihimaṣabnāhumnashāulawanahlihābaʿdiminl-arḍayarithūnalilladhīnayahdiawalam
Would it notguide[for] those whoinheritthe landfromafterits peoplethatifWe willedWe (could) afflict themfor their sinsand We put a sealovertheir heartsso they(do) nothear
7:100
تِلْكَٱلْقُرَىٰنَقُصُّعَلَيْكَمِنْأَنۢبَآئِهَا ۚوَلَقَدْجَآءَتْهُمْرُسُلُهُمبِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِفَمَاكَانُوا۟لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟بِمَاكَذَّبُوا۟مِنقَبْلُ ۚكَذَٰلِكَيَطْبَعُٱللَّهُعَلَىٰقُلُوبِٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīnaqulūbiʿalāl-lahuyaṭbaʿukadhālikaqabluminkadhabūbimāliyu'minūkānūfamābil-bayinātirusuluhumjāathumwalaqadanbāihāminʿalaykanaquṣṣul-qurātil'ka
These(were) the cities We relateto youoftheir newsAnd certainlycame to themtheir Messengerswith clear proofsbut notthey wereto believein whatthey (had) deniedfrombeforeThus(has been) put a seal(by) Allahon(the) hearts(of) the disbelievers
7:101
وَمَاوَجَدْنَالِأَكْثَرِهِممِّنْعَهْدٍۢ ۖوَإِنوَجَدْنَآأَكْثَرَهُمْلَفَـٰسِقِينَ
lafāsiqīnaaktharahumwajadnāwa-inʿahdinminli-aktharihimwajadnāwamā
And notWe foundfor most of themanycovenantButWe foundmost of themcertainly, defiantly disobedient
7:102
ثُمَّبَعَثْنَامِنۢبَعْدِهِممُّوسَىٰبِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآإِلَىٰفِرْعَوْنَوَمَلَإِي۟هِۦفَظَلَمُوا۟بِهَا ۖفَٱنظُرْكَيْفَكَانَعَـٰقِبَةُٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
l-muf'sidīnaʿāqibatukānakayfafa-unẓurbihāfaẓalamūwamala-ihifir'ʿawnailābiāyātināmūsābaʿdihimminbaʿathnāthumma
ThenWe sentfromafter themMusawith Our SignstoFiraunand his chiefsBut they were unjustto themSo seehowwas(the) end(of) the corrupters
7:103
وَقَالَمُوسَىٰيَـٰفِرْعَوْنُإِنِّىرَسُولٌۭمِّنرَّبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnarabbiminrasūluninnīyāfir'ʿawnumūsāwaqāla
And saidMusaO FiraunIndeed, I ama Messengerfrom(the) Lord(of) the worlds
7:104
حَقِيقٌعَلَىٰٓأَنلَّآأَقُولَعَلَىٱللَّهِإِلَّاٱلْحَقَّ ۚقَدْجِئْتُكُمبِبَيِّنَةٍۢمِّنرَّبِّكُمْفَأَرْسِلْمَعِىَبَنِىٓإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'rāīlabanīmaʿiyafa-arsilrabbikumminbibayyinatinji'tukumqadl-ḥaqaillāl-lahiʿalāaqūlalāanʿalāḥaqīqun
ObligatedonthatnotI sayaboutAllahexceptthe truthVerilyI (have) come to youwith a clear Signfromyour Lordso sendwith me(the) Children(of) Israel
7:105
قَالَإِنكُنتَجِئْتَبِـَٔايَةٍۢفَأْتِبِهَآإِنكُنتَمِنَٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
l-ṣādiqīnaminakuntainbihāfatibiāyatinji'takuntainqāla
He saidIfyou havecomewith a Signthen bringitifyou areofthe truthful
7:106
فَأَلْقَىٰعَصَاهُفَإِذَاهِىَثُعْبَانٌۭمُّبِينٌۭ
mubīnunthuʿ'bānunhiyafa-idhāʿaṣāhufa-alqā
So he threwhis staffand suddenlyit(was) a serpentmanifest
7:107
وَنَزَعَيَدَهُۥفَإِذَاهِىَبَيْضَآءُلِلنَّـٰظِرِينَ
lilnnāẓirīnabayḍāuhiyafa-idhāyadahuwanazaʿa
And he drew outhis handand suddenlyit(was) whitefor the observers
7:108
قَالَٱلْمَلَأُمِنقَوْمِفِرْعَوْنَإِنَّهَـٰذَالَسَـٰحِرٌعَلِيمٌۭ
ʿalīmunlasāḥirunhādhāinnafir'ʿawnaqawmiminl-mala-uqāla
Saidthe chiefsof(the) people(of) FiraunIndeedthis(is) surely a magician learned
7:109
يُرِيدُأَنيُخْرِجَكُممِّنْأَرْضِكُمْ ۖفَمَاذَاتَأْمُرُونَ
tamurūnafamādhāarḍikumminyukh'rijakumanyurīdu
He wantstodrive you outfromyour landso what(do) you instruct
7:110
قَالُوٓا۟أَرْجِهْوَأَخَاهُوَأَرْسِلْفِىٱلْمَدَآئِنِحَـٰشِرِينَ
ḥāshirīnal-madāinifīwa-arsilwa-akhāhuarjihqālū
They saidPostpone himand his brotherand sendinthe citiesgatherers
7:111
يَأْتُوكَبِكُلِّسَـٰحِرٍعَلِيمٍۢ
ʿalīminsāḥirinbikulliyatūka
They (will) bring to you[with] everymagicianlearned
7:112
وَجَآءَٱلسَّحَرَةُفِرْعَوْنَقَالُوٓا۟إِنَّلَنَالَأَجْرًاإِنكُنَّانَحْنُٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ
l-ghālibīnanaḥnukunnāinla-ajranlanāinnaqālūfir'ʿawnal-saḥaratuwajāa
So camethe magicians(to) FiraunThey saidIndeedfor ussurely (will be) a rewardifwe are[we]the victors
7:113
قَالَنَعَمْوَإِنَّكُمْلَمِنَٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ
l-muqarabīnalaminawa-innakumnaʿamqāla
He saidYesand indeed yousurely (will be) ofthe ones who are near
7:114
قَالُوا۟يَـٰمُوسَىٰٓإِمَّآأَنتُلْقِىَوَإِمَّآأَننَّكُونَنَحْنُٱلْمُلْقِينَ
l-mul'qīnanaḥnunakūnaanwa-immātul'qiyaanimmāyāmūsāqālū
They saidO MusaWhether[that]you throwor Whether[that]we will be[we]the ones to throw
7:115
قَالَأَلْقُوا۟ ۖفَلَمَّآأَلْقَوْا۟سَحَرُوٓا۟أَعْيُنَٱلنَّاسِوَٱسْتَرْهَبُوهُمْوَجَآءُوبِسِحْرٍعَظِيمٍۢ
ʿaẓīminbisiḥ'rinwajāūwa-is'tarhabūhuml-nāsiaʿyunasaḥarūalqawfalammāalqūqāla
He saidThrowThen whenthey threwthey bewitched(the) eyes(of) the peopleand terrified themand came (up)with a magicgreat
7:116
۞ وَأَوْحَيْنَآإِلَىٰمُوسَىٰٓأَنْأَلْقِعَصَاكَ ۖفَإِذَاهِىَتَلْقَفُمَايَأْفِكُونَ
yafikūnamātalqafuhiyafa-idhāʿaṣākaalqianmūsāilāwa-awḥaynā
And We inspiredtoMusathatThrowyour staffand suddenlyitswallow(ed)whatthey (were) falsifying
7:117
فَوَقَعَٱلْحَقُّوَبَطَلَمَاكَانُوا۟يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnakānūmāwabaṭalal-ḥaqufawaqaʿa
So was establishedthe truthand became futilewhatthey used todo
7:118
فَغُلِبُوا۟هُنَالِكَوَٱنقَلَبُوا۟صَـٰغِرِينَ
ṣāghirīnawa-inqalabūhunālikafaghulibū
So they were defeatedthereand returnedhumiliated
7:119
وَأُلْقِىَٱلسَّحَرَةُسَـٰجِدِينَ
sājidīnal-saḥaratuwa-ul'qiya
And fell downthe magiciansprostrate
7:120
قَالُوٓا۟ءَامَنَّابِرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnabirabbiāmannāqālū
They saidWe believein (the) Lord(of) the worlds
7:121
رَبِّمُوسَىٰوَهَـٰرُونَ
wahārūnamūsārabbi
Lord(of) Musaand Harun
7:122
قَالَفِرْعَوْنُءَامَنتُمبِهِۦقَبْلَأَنْءَاذَنَلَكُمْ ۖإِنَّهَـٰذَالَمَكْرٌۭمَّكَرْتُمُوهُفِىٱلْمَدِينَةِلِتُخْرِجُوا۟مِنْهَآأَهْلَهَا ۖفَسَوْفَتَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūnafasawfaahlahāmin'hālitukh'rijūl-madīnatifīmakartumūhulamakrunhādhāinnalakumādhanaanqablabihiāmantumfir'ʿawnuqāla
SaidFiraunYou believedin himbefore[that]I give permissionto youIndeedthis(is) surely a plotyou have plotted itinthe cityso that you may drive outfrom itits peopleBut soonyou will know
7:123
لَأُقَطِّعَنَّأَيْدِيَكُمْوَأَرْجُلَكُممِّنْخِلَـٰفٍۢثُمَّلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْأَجْمَعِينَ
ajmaʿīnala-uṣallibannakumthummakhilāfinminwa-arjulakumaydiyakumla-uqaṭṭiʿanna
I will surely cut offyour handsand your feetofopposite (sides)ThenI will surely crucify youall
7:124
قَالُوٓا۟إِنَّآإِلَىٰرَبِّنَامُنقَلِبُونَ
munqalibūnarabbināilāinnāqālū
They saidIndeed, wetoour Lord(will) return
7:125
وَمَاتَنقِمُمِنَّآإِلَّآأَنْءَامَنَّابِـَٔايَـٰتِرَبِّنَالَمَّاجَآءَتْنَا ۚرَبَّنَآأَفْرِغْعَلَيْنَاصَبْرًۭاوَتَوَفَّنَامُسْلِمِينَ
mus'limīnawatawaffanāṣabranʿalaynāafrighrabbanājāatnālammārabbinābiāyātiāmannāanillāminnātanqimuwamā
And notyou take revengefrom usexceptthatwe believedin (the) Signs(of) our Lordwhenthey came to usOur LordPourupon uspatienceand cause us to die(as) Muslims
7:126
وَقَالَٱلْمَلَأُمِنقَوْمِفِرْعَوْنَأَتَذَرُمُوسَىٰوَقَوْمَهُۥلِيُفْسِدُوا۟فِىٱلْأَرْضِوَيَذَرَكَوَءَالِهَتَكَ ۚقَالَسَنُقَتِّلُأَبْنَآءَهُمْوَنَسْتَحْىِۦنِسَآءَهُمْوَإِنَّافَوْقَهُمْقَـٰهِرُونَ
qāhirūnafawqahumwa-innānisāahumwanastaḥyīabnāahumsanuqattiluqālawaālihatakawayadharakal-arḍifīliyuf'sidūwaqawmahumūsāatadharufir'ʿawnaqawmiminl-mala-uwaqāla
And saidthe chiefsof(the) people(of) FiraunWill you leaveMusaand his peopleso that they cause corruptioninthe earthand forsake youand your godsHe saidWe will killtheir sonsand we will let livetheir womenand indeed, weover them(are) subjugators
7:127
قَالَمُوسَىٰلِقَوْمِهِٱسْتَعِينُوا۟بِٱللَّهِوَٱصْبِرُوٓا۟ ۖإِنَّٱلْأَرْضَلِلَّهِيُورِثُهَامَنيَشَآءُمِنْعِبَادِهِۦ ۖوَٱلْعَـٰقِبَةُلِلْمُتَّقِينَ
lil'muttaqīnawal-ʿāqibatuʿibādihiminyashāumanyūrithuhālillahil-arḍainnawa-iṣ'birūbil-lahiis'taʿīnūliqawmihimūsāqāla
SaidMusato his peopleSeek helpfrom Allahand be patientIndeedthe earth(belongs) to AllahHe causes to inherit itwhomHe willsofHis servantsAnd the end(is) for the righteous
7:128
قَالُوٓا۟أُوذِينَامِنقَبْلِأَنتَأْتِيَنَاوَمِنۢبَعْدِمَاجِئْتَنَا ۚقَالَعَسَىٰرَبُّكُمْأَنيُهْلِكَعَدُوَّكُمْوَيَسْتَخْلِفَكُمْفِىٱلْأَرْضِفَيَنظُرَكَيْفَتَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnakayfafayanẓural-arḍifīwayastakhlifakumʿaduwwakumyuh'likaanrabbukumʿasāqālaji'tanāmābaʿdiwamintatiyanāanqabliminūdhīnāqālū
They saidWe have been harmedfrombefore[that]you came to usfromand after[what]you have come to usHe saidPerhapsyour Lord[that]will destroyyour enemyand make you successorsinthe earththen seehowyou will do
7:129
وَلَقَدْأَخَذْنَآءَالَفِرْعَوْنَبِٱلسِّنِينَوَنَقْصٍۢمِّنَٱلثَّمَرَٰتِلَعَلَّهُمْيَذَّكَّرُونَ
yadhakkarūnalaʿallahuml-thamarātiminawanaqṣinbil-sinīnafir'ʿawnaālaakhadhnāwalaqad
And certainlyWe seized(the) people(of) Firaunwith years (of famine)and a deficitof[the] fruitsso that they mayreceive admonition
7:130
فَإِذَاجَآءَتْهُمُٱلْحَسَنَةُقَالُوا۟لَنَاهَـٰذِهِۦ ۖوَإِنتُصِبْهُمْسَيِّئَةٌۭيَطَّيَّرُوا۟بِمُوسَىٰوَمَنمَّعَهُۥٓ ۗأَلَآإِنَّمَاطَـٰٓئِرُهُمْعِندَٱللَّهِوَلَـٰكِنَّأَكْثَرَهُمْلَايَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnalāaktharahumwalākinnal-lahiʿindaṭāiruhuminnamāalāmaʿahuwamanbimūsāyaṭṭayyarūsayyi-atuntuṣib'humwa-inhādhihilanāqālūl-ḥasanatujāathumufa-idhā
But whencame to themthe goodthey saidFor us(is) thisAnd ifafflicts thembadthey ascribe evil omensto Musaand who(were) with himBeholdOnlytheir evil omens(are) withAllahbutmost of them(do) notknow
7:131
وَقَالُوا۟مَهْمَاتَأْتِنَابِهِۦمِنْءَايَةٍۢلِّتَسْحَرَنَابِهَافَمَانَحْنُلَكَبِمُؤْمِنِينَ
bimu'minīnalakanaḥnufamābihālitasḥaranāāyatinminbihitatināmahmāwaqālū
And they saidWhateveryou bring ustherewithof(the) signso that you bewitch uswith itthen notwe(will be) in youbelievers
7:132
فَأَرْسَلْنَاعَلَيْهِمُٱلطُّوفَانَوَٱلْجَرَادَوَٱلْقُمَّلَوَٱلضَّفَادِعَوَٱلدَّمَءَايَـٰتٍۢمُّفَصَّلَـٰتٍۢفَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟وَكَانُوا۟قَوْمًۭامُّجْرِمِينَ
muj'rimīnaqawmanwakānūfa-is'takbarūmufaṣṣalātināyātinwal-damawal-ḍafādiʿawal-qumalawal-jarādal-ṭūfānaʿalayhimufa-arsalnā
So We senton themthe floodand the locustsand the liceand the frogsand the blood(as) signsmanifestbut they showed arroganceand they werea peoplecriminal
7:133
وَلَمَّاوَقَعَعَلَيْهِمُٱلرِّجْزُقَالُوا۟يَـٰمُوسَىٱدْعُلَنَارَبَّكَبِمَاعَهِدَعِندَكَ ۖلَئِنكَشَفْتَعَنَّاٱلرِّجْزَلَنُؤْمِنَنَّلَكَوَلَنُرْسِلَنَّمَعَكَبَنِىٓإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'rāīlabanīmaʿakawalanur'silannalakalanu'minannal-rij'zaʿannākashaftala-inʿindakaʿahidabimārabbakalanāud'ʿuyāmūsāqālūl-rij'zuʿalayhimuwaqaʿawalammā
And whenfellon themthe punishmentthey saidO MusaInvokefor usyour Lordby whatHe has promisedto youIfyou removefrom usthe punishmentsurely, we will believe[for] youand surely, we will sendwith you(the) Children(of) Israel
7:134
فَلَمَّاكَشَفْنَاعَنْهُمُٱلرِّجْزَإِلَىٰٓأَجَلٍهُمبَـٰلِغُوهُإِذَاهُمْيَنكُثُونَ
yankuthūnahumidhābālighūhuhumajalinilāl-rij'zaʿanhumukashafnāfalammā
But whenWe removedfrom themthe punishmenttilla (fixed) term(which) theywere to reach [it]thentheybroke (the word)
7:135
فَٱنتَقَمْنَامِنْهُمْفَأَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْفِىٱلْيَمِّبِأَنَّهُمْكَذَّبُوا۟بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاوَكَانُوا۟عَنْهَاغَـٰفِلِينَ
ghāfilīnaʿanhāwakānūbiāyātinākadhabūbi-annahuml-yamifīfa-aghraqnāhummin'humfa-intaqamnā
So We took retributionfrom themand We drowned theminthe seabecause theydeniedOur Signsand they wereto themheedless
7:136
وَأَوْرَثْنَاٱلْقَوْمَٱلَّذِينَكَانُوا۟يُسْتَضْعَفُونَمَشَـٰرِقَٱلْأَرْضِوَمَغَـٰرِبَهَاٱلَّتِىبَـٰرَكْنَافِيهَا ۖوَتَمَّتْكَلِمَتُرَبِّكَٱلْحُسْنَىٰعَلَىٰبَنِىٓإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَبِمَاصَبَرُوا۟ ۖوَدَمَّرْنَامَاكَانَيَصْنَعُفِرْعَوْنُوَقَوْمُهُۥوَمَاكَانُوا۟يَعْرِشُونَ
yaʿrishūnakānūwamāwaqawmuhufir'ʿawnuyaṣnaʿukānamāwadammarnāṣabarūbimāis'rāīlabanīʿalāl-ḥus'nārabbikakalimatuwatammatfīhābāraknāallatīwamaghāribahāl-arḍimashāriqayus'taḍʿafūnakānūalladhīnal-qawmawa-awrathnā
And We made inheritorsthe peoplethose whowereconsidered weak (the) eastern (parts)(of) the landand the western (parts) of itwhichWe blessed[in it]And was fulfilled(the) word(of) your Lord the bestfor(the) Children(of) Israelbecausethey were patientAnd We destroyedwhatused tomakeFiraunand his peopleand whatthey used toerect
7:137
وَجَـٰوَزْنَابِبَنِىٓإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَٱلْبَحْرَفَأَتَوْا۟عَلَىٰقَوْمٍۢيَعْكُفُونَعَلَىٰٓأَصْنَامٍۢلَّهُمْ ۚقَالُوا۟يَـٰمُوسَىٱجْعَللَّنَآإِلَـٰهًۭاكَمَالَهُمْءَالِهَةٌۭ ۚقَالَإِنَّكُمْقَوْمٌۭتَجْهَلُونَ
tajhalūnaqawmuninnakumqālaālihatunlahumkamāilāhanlanāij'ʿalyāmūsāqālūlahumaṣnāminʿalāyaʿkufūnaqawminʿalāfa-atawl-baḥrais'rāīlabibanīwajāwaznā
And We led across(the) Children(of) Israelthe seaThen they cameupona peopledevotedtoidolsof theirsThey saidO MusaMakefor usa godlike whatthey havegodsHe saidIndeed, you(are) a peopleignorant
7:138
إِنَّهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِمُتَبَّرٌۭمَّاهُمْفِيهِوَبَـٰطِلٌۭمَّاكَانُوا۟يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnakānūmāwabāṭilunfīhihummāmutabbarunhāulāiinna
Indeedthesedestroyed(is) whatthey(are) in itand vain(is) whatthey used todo
7:139
قَالَأَغَيْرَٱللَّهِأَبْغِيكُمْإِلَـٰهًۭاوَهُوَفَضَّلَكُمْعَلَىٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnaʿalāfaḍḍalakumwahuwailāhanabghīkuml-lahiaghayraqāla
He saidShould other thanAllahI seek for youa godwhile Hehas preferred youoverthe worlds
7:140
وَإِذْأَنجَيْنَـٰكُممِّنْءَالِفِرْعَوْنَيَسُومُونَكُمْسُوٓءَٱلْعَذَابِ ۖيُقَتِّلُونَأَبْنَآءَكُمْوَيَسْتَحْيُونَنِسَآءَكُمْ ۚوَفِىذَٰلِكُمبَلَآءٌۭمِّنرَّبِّكُمْعَظِيمٌۭ
ʿaẓīmunrabbikumminbalāondhālikumwafīnisāakumwayastaḥyūnaabnāakumyuqattilūnal-ʿadhābisūayasūmūnakumfir'ʿawnaāliminanjaynākumwa-idh
And whenWe saved youfrom(the) people(of) Firaunwho were afflicting you(with) worst(of) tormentthey were killingyour sonsand letting liveyour womenAnd inthat(was) a trialfromyour Lordgreat
7:141
۞ وَوَٰعَدْنَامُوسَىٰثَلَـٰثِينَلَيْلَةًۭوَأَتْمَمْنَـٰهَابِعَشْرٍۢفَتَمَّمِيقَـٰتُرَبِّهِۦٓأَرْبَعِينَلَيْلَةًۭ ۚوَقَالَمُوسَىٰلِأَخِيهِهَـٰرُونَٱخْلُفْنِىفِىقَوْمِىوَأَصْلِحْوَلَاتَتَّبِعْسَبِيلَٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
l-muf'sidīnasabīlatattabiʿwalāwa-aṣliḥqawmīfīukh'luf'nīhārūnali-akhīhimūsāwaqālalaylatanarbaʿīnarabbihimīqātufatammabiʿashrinwa-atmamnāhālaylatanthalāthīnamūsāwawāʿadnā
And We appointed(for) Musathirtynightsand We completed themwith ten (more)so was completed(the) set term(of) his Lord(of) fortynight(s)And saidMusato his brotherHarunTake my placeinmy peopleand do rightand (do) notfollow(the) way(of) the corrupters
7:142
وَلَمَّاجَآءَمُوسَىٰلِمِيقَـٰتِنَاوَكَلَّمَهُۥرَبُّهُۥقَالَرَبِّأَرِنِىٓأَنظُرْإِلَيْكَ ۚقَالَلَنتَرَىٰنِىوَلَـٰكِنِٱنظُرْإِلَىٱلْجَبَلِفَإِنِٱسْتَقَرَّمَكَانَهُۥفَسَوْفَتَرَىٰنِى ۚفَلَمَّاتَجَلَّىٰرَبُّهُۥلِلْجَبَلِجَعَلَهُۥدَكًّۭاوَخَرَّمُوسَىٰصَعِقًۭا ۚفَلَمَّآأَفَاقَقَالَسُبْحَـٰنَكَتُبْتُإِلَيْكَوَأَنَا۠أَوَّلُٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnaawwaluwa-anāilaykatub'tusub'ḥānakaqālaafāqafalammāṣaʿiqanmūsāwakharradakkanjaʿalahulil'jabalirabbuhutajallāfalammātarānīfasawfamakānahuis'taqarrafa-inil-jabaliilāunẓurwalākinitarānīlanqālailaykaanẓurarinīrabbiqālarabbuhuwakallamahulimīqātināmūsājāawalammā
And whencameMusato Our appointed placeand spoke to himhis Lordhe saidO my LordShow me(that) I may lookat YouHe saidNeveryou (can) see Mebutlookatthe mountain[then] ifit remainsin its placethenyou (will) see MeBut whenrevealed (His) Gloryhis Lordto the mountainHe made itcrumbled to dustand fell downMusaunconsciousAnd whenhe recoveredhe saidGlory be to YouI turn (in repentance)to youand I am(the) first(of) the believers
7:143
قَالَيَـٰمُوسَىٰٓإِنِّىٱصْطَفَيْتُكَعَلَىٱلنَّاسِبِرِسَـٰلَـٰتِىوَبِكَلَـٰمِىفَخُذْمَآءَاتَيْتُكَوَكُنمِّنَٱلشَّـٰكِرِينَ
l-shākirīnaminawakunātaytukamāfakhudhwabikalāmībirisālātīl-nāsiʿalāiṣ'ṭafaytukainnīyāmūsāqāla
He saidO MusaIndeed, Ihave chosen youoverthe peoplewith My Messagesand with My wordsSo takewhatI have given youand beamongthe grateful
7:144
وَكَتَبْنَالَهُۥفِىٱلْأَلْوَاحِمِنكُلِّشَىْءٍۢمَّوْعِظَةًۭوَتَفْصِيلًۭالِّكُلِّشَىْءٍۢفَخُذْهَابِقُوَّةٍۢوَأْمُرْقَوْمَكَيَأْخُذُوا۟بِأَحْسَنِهَا ۚسَأُو۟رِيكُمْدَارَٱلْفَـٰسِقِينَ
l-fāsiqīnadārasa-urīkumbi-aḥsanihāyakhudhūqawmakawamurbiquwwatinfakhudh'hāshayinlikulliwatafṣīlanmawʿiẓatanshayinkulliminl-alwāḥifīlahuwakatabnā
And We ordained (laws)for himinthe tablets ofeverythingan instructionand explanationfor everythingSo take themwith firmnessand orderyour people(to) take(the) best of itI will show you(the) home(of) the defiantly disobedient
7:145
سَأَصْرِفُعَنْءَايَـٰتِىَٱلَّذِينَيَتَكَبَّرُونَفِىٱلْأَرْضِبِغَيْرِٱلْحَقِّوَإِنيَرَوْا۟كُلَّءَايَةٍۢلَّايُؤْمِنُوا۟بِهَاوَإِنيَرَوْا۟سَبِيلَٱلرُّشْدِلَايَتَّخِذُوهُسَبِيلًۭاوَإِنيَرَوْا۟سَبِيلَٱلْغَىِّيَتَّخِذُوهُسَبِيلًۭا ۚذَٰلِكَبِأَنَّهُمْكَذَّبُوا۟بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاوَكَانُوا۟عَنْهَاغَـٰفِلِينَ
ghāfilīnaʿanhāwakānūbiāyātinākadhabūbi-annahumdhālikasabīlanyattakhidhūhul-ghayisabīlayarawwa-insabīlanyattakhidhūhulāl-rush'disabīlayarawwa-inbihāyu'minūlāāyatinkullayarawwa-inl-ḥaqibighayril-arḍifīyatakabbarūnaalladhīnaāyātiyaʿansa-aṣrifu
I will turn awayfromMy Signsthose whoare arrogantinthe earthwithout[the] rightand ifthey seeeverysignnot(will) they believein itAnd ifthey see(the) way(of) the righteousnessnot(will) they take it(as) a waybut ifthey see(the) way(of) [the] errorthey will take it(as) a wayThat(is) because theydeniedOur Signsand they wereof themheedless
7:146
وَٱلَّذِينَكَذَّبُوا۟بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاوَلِقَآءِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِحَبِطَتْأَعْمَـٰلُهُمْ ۚهَلْيُجْزَوْنَإِلَّامَاكَانُوا۟يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnakānūmāillāyuj'zawnahalaʿmāluhumḥabiṭatl-ākhiratiwaliqāibiāyātinākadhabūwa-alladhīna
And those whodeniedOur Signsand (the) meeting(of) the Hereafter worthless(are) their deedsWillthey be recompensedexcept(for) whatthey used todo
7:147
وَٱتَّخَذَقَوْمُمُوسَىٰمِنۢبَعْدِهِۦمِنْحُلِيِّهِمْعِجْلًۭاجَسَدًۭالَّهُۥخُوَارٌ ۚأَلَمْيَرَوْا۟أَنَّهُۥلَايُكَلِّمُهُمْوَلَايَهْدِيهِمْسَبِيلًا ۘٱتَّخَذُوهُوَكَانُوا۟ظَـٰلِمِينَ
ẓālimīnawakānūittakhadhūhusabīlanyahdīhimwalāyukallimuhumlāannahuyarawalamkhuwārunlahujasadanʿij'lanḥuliyyihimminbaʿdihiminmūsāqawmuwa-ittakhadha
And took(the) people(of) Musafromafter himfromtheir ornamentsa calf an image[for] it(had) a lowing soundDid notthey seethat it(could) notspeak to themand notguide them(to) a wayThey took it (for worship)and they werewrongdoers
7:148
وَلَمَّاسُقِطَفِىٓأَيْدِيهِمْوَرَأَوْا۟أَنَّهُمْقَدْضَلُّوا۟قَالُوا۟لَئِنلَّمْيَرْحَمْنَارَبُّنَاوَيَغْفِرْلَنَالَنَكُونَنَّمِنَٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ
l-khāsirīnaminalanakūnannalanāwayaghfirrabbunāyarḥamnālamla-inqālūḍallūqadannahumwara-awaydīhimfīsuqiṭawalammā
And when(it was made to) fallintotheir handsand they sawthat they(had) indeedgone astraythey saidIfnothas Mercy on usOur Lordand forgive[for] uswe will surely beamongthe losers
7:149
وَلَمَّارَجَعَمُوسَىٰٓإِلَىٰقَوْمِهِۦغَضْبَـٰنَأَسِفًۭاقَالَبِئْسَمَاخَلَفْتُمُونِىمِنۢبَعْدِىٓ ۖأَعَجِلْتُمْأَمْرَرَبِّكُمْ ۖوَأَلْقَىٱلْأَلْوَاحَوَأَخَذَبِرَأْسِأَخِيهِيَجُرُّهُۥٓإِلَيْهِ ۚقَالَٱبْنَأُمَّإِنَّٱلْقَوْمَٱسْتَضْعَفُونِىوَكَادُوا۟يَقْتُلُونَنِىفَلَاتُشْمِتْبِىَٱلْأَعْدَآءَوَلَاتَجْعَلْنِىمَعَٱلْقَوْمِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnal-qawmimaʿatajʿalnīwalāl-aʿdāabiyatush'mitfalāyaqtulūnanīwakādūis'taḍʿafūnīl-qawmainnaummaib'naqālailayhiyajurruhuakhīhibirasiwa-akhadhal-alwāḥawa-alqārabbikumamraaʿajil'tumbaʿdīminkhalaftumūnībi'samāqālaasifanghaḍbānaqawmihiilāmūsārajaʿawalammā
And whenreturnedMusatohis people angryand grievedhe saidEvil is whatyou have done in my placefromafter meWere you impatient(over the) matter(of) your LordAnd he cast downthe tabletsand seizedby headhis brotherdragging himto himselfHe saidO son(of) my motherIndeedthe peopleconsidered me weakand were about tokill meSo (let) notrejoiceover methe enemiesand (do) notplace mewiththe people(who are) wrongdoing
7:150
قَالَرَبِّٱغْفِرْلِىوَلِأَخِىوَأَدْخِلْنَافِىرَحْمَتِكَ ۖوَأَنتَأَرْحَمُٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ
l-rāḥimīnaarḥamuwa-antaraḥmatikafīwa-adkhil'nāwali-akhīlīigh'firrabbiqāla
He saidO my LordForgivemeand my brotherand admit usintoYour Mercyfor You(are) the Most Merciful(of) the merciful
7:151
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ٱلْعِجْلَسَيَنَالُهُمْغَضَبٌۭمِّنرَّبِّهِمْوَذِلَّةٌۭفِىٱلْحَيَوٰةِٱلدُّنْيَا ۚوَكَذَٰلِكَنَجْزِىٱلْمُفْتَرِينَ
l-muf'tarīnanajzīwakadhālikal-dun'yāl-ḥayatifīwadhillatunrabbihimminghaḍabunsayanāluhuml-ʿij'laittakhadhūalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whotookthe calfwill reach themwrathfromtheir Lordand humiliationinthe life(of) the worldAnd thusWe recompensethe ones who invent (falsehood)
7:152
وَٱلَّذِينَعَمِلُوا۟ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِثُمَّتَابُوا۟مِنۢبَعْدِهَاوَءَامَنُوٓا۟إِنَّرَبَّكَمِنۢبَعْدِهَالَغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunlaghafūrunbaʿdihāminrabbakainnawaāmanūbaʿdihāmintābūthummal-sayiātiʿamilūwa-alladhīna
And those whodothe evil deedsthenrepentedfromafter thatand believedindeedyour Lordfromafter that(is) surely Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
7:153
وَلَمَّاسَكَتَعَنمُّوسَىٱلْغَضَبُأَخَذَٱلْأَلْوَاحَ ۖوَفِىنُسْخَتِهَاهُدًۭىوَرَحْمَةٌۭلِّلَّذِينَهُمْلِرَبِّهِمْيَرْهَبُونَ
yarhabūnalirabbihimhumlilladhīnawaraḥmatunhudannus'khatihāwafīl-alwāḥaakhadhal-ghaḍabumūsāʿansakatawalammā
And whenwas calmedfromMusathe angerhe took (up)the tabletsand intheir inscription(was) guidanceand mercyfor those who[they]of their Lord(are) fearful
7:154
وَٱخْتَارَمُوسَىٰقَوْمَهُۥسَبْعِينَرَجُلًۭالِّمِيقَـٰتِنَا ۖفَلَمَّآأَخَذَتْهُمُٱلرَّجْفَةُقَالَرَبِّلَوْشِئْتَأَهْلَكْتَهُممِّنقَبْلُوَإِيَّـٰىَ ۖأَتُهْلِكُنَابِمَافَعَلَٱلسُّفَهَآءُمِنَّآ ۖإِنْهِىَإِلَّافِتْنَتُكَتُضِلُّبِهَامَنتَشَآءُوَتَهْدِىمَنتَشَآءُ ۖأَنتَوَلِيُّنَافَٱغْفِرْلَنَاوَٱرْحَمْنَا ۖوَأَنتَخَيْرُٱلْغَـٰفِرِينَ
l-ghāfirīnakhayruwa-antawa-ir'ḥamnālanāfa-igh'firwaliyyunāantatashāumanwatahdītashāumanbihātuḍillufit'natukaillāhiyainminnāl-sufahāufaʿalabimāatuh'likunāwa-iyyāyaqabluminahlaktahumshi'talawrabbiqālal-rajfatuakhadhathumufalammālimīqātinārajulansabʿīnaqawmahumūsāwa-ikh'tāra
And choseMusa(from) his peopleseventymenfor Our appointmentThen whenseized themthe earthquakehe saidO my LordIfyou (had) willedYou (could) have destroyed themfrombeforeand meWould You destroy usfor whatdidthe foolishamong usNotit (was)butYour trialYou let go astrayby itwhomYou willand You guidewhomYou willYou(are) our Protectorso forgiveusand have mercy upon usand You(are) Best(of) Forgivers
7:155
۞ وَٱكْتُبْلَنَافِىهَـٰذِهِٱلدُّنْيَاحَسَنَةًۭوَفِىٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِإِنَّاهُدْنَآإِلَيْكَ ۚقَالَعَذَابِىٓأُصِيبُبِهِۦمَنْأَشَآءُ ۖوَرَحْمَتِىوَسِعَتْكُلَّشَىْءٍۢ ۚفَسَأَكْتُبُهَالِلَّذِينَيَتَّقُونَوَيُؤْتُونَٱلزَّكَوٰةَوَٱلَّذِينَهُمبِـَٔايَـٰتِنَايُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūnabiāyātināhumwa-alladhīnal-zakatawayu'tūnayattaqūnalilladhīnafasa-aktubuhāshayinkullawasiʿatwaraḥmatīashāumanbihiuṣībuʿadhābīqālailaykahud'nāinnāl-ākhiratiwafīḥasanatanl-dun'yāhādhihifīlanāwa-uk'tub
And ordainfor usinthis[the] worldgoodand inthe HereafterIndeed, wewe have turnedto YouHe saidMy punishment I afflictwith itwhomI willbut My MercyencompasseseverythingSo I will ordain itfor those who(are) righteousand givezakahand those who[they]in Our Versesthey believe
7:156
ٱلَّذِينَيَتَّبِعُونَٱلرَّسُولَٱلنَّبِىَّٱلْأُمِّىَّٱلَّذِىيَجِدُونَهُۥمَكْتُوبًاعِندَهُمْفِىٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِوَٱلْإِنجِيلِيَأْمُرُهُمبِٱلْمَعْرُوفِوَيَنْهَىٰهُمْعَنِٱلْمُنكَرِوَيُحِلُّلَهُمُٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِوَيُحَرِّمُعَلَيْهِمُٱلْخَبَـٰٓئِثَوَيَضَعُعَنْهُمْإِصْرَهُمْوَٱلْأَغْلَـٰلَٱلَّتِىكَانَتْعَلَيْهِمْ ۚفَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟بِهِۦوَعَزَّرُوهُوَنَصَرُوهُوَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ٱلنُّورَٱلَّذِىٓأُنزِلَمَعَهُۥٓ ۙأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ
l-muf'liḥūnahumuulāikamaʿahuunzilaalladhīl-nūrawa-ittabaʿūwanaṣarūhuwaʿazzarūhubihiāmanūfa-alladhīnaʿalayhimkānatallatīwal-aghlālaiṣ'rahumʿanhumwayaḍaʿul-khabāithaʿalayhimuwayuḥarrimul-ṭayibātilahumuwayuḥillul-munkariʿaniwayanhāhumbil-maʿrūfiyamuruhumwal-injīlil-tawrātifīʿindahummaktūbanyajidūnahualladhīl-umiyal-nabiyal-rasūlayattabiʿūnaalladhīna
Those whofollowthe Messengerthe Prophetthe unletteredwhomthey find himwrittenwith theminthe Tauratand the InjeelHe commands themto the rightand forbids themfromthe wrongand he makes lawfulfor themthe pure thingsand makes unlawfulfor themthe impure thingsand he relievesfrom themtheir burdenand the fetterswhichwereupon themSo those whobelievein himand honor himand help himand followthe lightwhichhas been sent downwith him Those (are)[they]the successful ones
7:157
قُلْيَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلنَّاسُإِنِّىرَسُولُٱللَّهِإِلَيْكُمْجَمِيعًاٱلَّذِىلَهُۥمُلْكُٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖلَآإِلَـٰهَإِلَّاهُوَيُحْىِۦوَيُمِيتُ ۖفَـَٔامِنُوا۟بِٱللَّهِوَرَسُولِهِٱلنَّبِىِّٱلْأُمِّىِّٱلَّذِىيُؤْمِنُبِٱللَّهِوَكَلِمَـٰتِهِۦوَٱتَّبِعُوهُلَعَلَّكُمْتَهْتَدُونَ
tahtadūnalaʿallakumwa-ittabiʿūhuwakalimātihibil-lahiyu'minualladhīl-umiyil-nabiyiwarasūlihibil-lahifaāminūwayumītuyuḥ'yīhuwaillāilāhalāwal-arḍil-samāwātimul'kulahualladhījamīʿanilaykuml-lahirasūluinnīl-nāsuyāayyuhāqul
SayOmankindIndeed I am(the) Messenger(of) Allahto youallthe Onefor Whom(is the) dominion(of) the heavensand the earth(There is) nogodexceptHimHe gives lifeand causes deathSo believein Allahand His Messengerthe Prophetthe unletteredthe one whobelievesin Allahand His Wordsand follow himso that you may(be) guided
7:158
وَمِنقَوْمِمُوسَىٰٓأُمَّةٌۭيَهْدُونَبِٱلْحَقِّوَبِهِۦيَعْدِلُونَ
yaʿdilūnawabihibil-ḥaqiyahdūnaummatunmūsāqawmiwamin
And among(the) people(of) Musa(is) a community(which) guideswith truthand by itestablishes justice
7:159
وَقَطَّعْنَـٰهُمُٱثْنَتَىْعَشْرَةَأَسْبَاطًاأُمَمًۭا ۚوَأَوْحَيْنَآإِلَىٰمُوسَىٰٓإِذِٱسْتَسْقَىٰهُقَوْمُهُۥٓأَنِٱضْرِببِّعَصَاكَٱلْحَجَرَ ۖفَٱنۢبَجَسَتْمِنْهُٱثْنَتَاعَشْرَةَعَيْنًۭا ۖقَدْعَلِمَكُلُّأُنَاسٍۢمَّشْرَبَهُمْ ۚوَظَلَّلْنَاعَلَيْهِمُٱلْغَمَـٰمَوَأَنزَلْنَاعَلَيْهِمُٱلْمَنَّوَٱلسَّلْوَىٰ ۖكُلُوا۟مِنطَيِّبَـٰتِمَارَزَقْنَـٰكُمْ ۚوَمَاظَلَمُونَاوَلَـٰكِنكَانُوٓا۟أَنفُسَهُمْيَظْلِمُونَ
yaẓlimūnaanfusahumkānūwalākinẓalamūnāwamārazaqnākummāṭayyibātiminkulūwal-salwāl-manaʿalayhimuwa-anzalnāl-ghamāmaʿalayhimuwaẓallalnāmashrabahumunāsinkulluʿalimaqadʿaynanʿashrataith'natāmin'hufa-inbajasatl-ḥajarabiʿaṣākaiḍ'ribaniqawmuhuis'tasqāhuidhimūsāilāwa-awḥaynāumamanasbāṭanʿashrataith'nataywaqaṭṭaʿnāhumu
And We divided them(into) two(and) ten [i.e. twelve]tribes(as) communitiesAnd We inspiredtoMusawhenasked him for waterhis people[that]Strikewith your staffthe stoneThen gushed forthfrom ittwo(and) ten [i.e. twelve]springsCertainlykneweachpeopletheir drinking placeAnd We shaded[on] them(with) the cloudsand We sent downupon themthe mannaand the quailsEatfrom(the) good thingswhichWe have provided youAnd notthey wronged Usbutthey were(to) themselvesdoing wrong
7:160
وَإِذْقِيلَلَهُمُٱسْكُنُوا۟هَـٰذِهِٱلْقَرْيَةَوَكُلُوا۟مِنْهَاحَيْثُشِئْتُمْوَقُولُوا۟حِطَّةٌۭوَٱدْخُلُوا۟ٱلْبَابَسُجَّدًۭانَّغْفِرْلَكُمْخَطِيٓـَٔـٰتِكُمْ ۚسَنَزِيدُٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
l-muḥ'sinīnasanazīdukhaṭīātikumlakumnaghfirsujjadanl-bābawa-ud'khulūḥiṭṭatunwaqūlūshi'tumḥaythumin'hāwakulūl-qaryatahādhihius'kunūlahumuqīlawa-idh
And whenit was saidto themLive(in) thiscityand eatfrom itwhereveryou wishand sayRepentanceand enterthe gateprostratingWe will forgivefor youyour sinsWe will increase (reward)(of) the good-doers
7:161
فَبَدَّلَٱلَّذِينَظَلَمُوا۟مِنْهُمْقَوْلًاغَيْرَٱلَّذِىقِيلَلَهُمْفَأَرْسَلْنَاعَلَيْهِمْرِجْزًۭامِّنَٱلسَّمَآءِبِمَاكَانُوا۟يَظْلِمُونَ
yaẓlimūnakānūbimāl-samāiminarij'zanʿalayhimfa-arsalnālahumqīlaalladhīghayraqawlanmin'humẓalamūalladhīnafabaddala
But changedthose whowrongedamong themwordother than(that) whichwas saidto themSo We sentupon themtormentfromthe skybecausethey weredoing wrong
7:162
وَسْـَٔلْهُمْعَنِٱلْقَرْيَةِٱلَّتِىكَانَتْحَاضِرَةَٱلْبَحْرِإِذْيَعْدُونَفِىٱلسَّبْتِإِذْتَأْتِيهِمْحِيتَانُهُمْيَوْمَسَبْتِهِمْشُرَّعًۭاوَيَوْمَلَايَسْبِتُونَ ۙلَاتَأْتِيهِمْ ۚكَذَٰلِكَنَبْلُوهُمبِمَاكَانُوا۟يَفْسُقُونَ
yafsuqūnakānūbimānablūhumkadhālikatatīhimlāyasbitūnalāwayawmashurraʿansabtihimyawmaḥītānuhumtatīhimidhl-sabtifīyaʿdūnaidhl-baḥriḥāḍiratakānatallatīl-qaryatiʿaniwasalhum
And ask themaboutthe townwhichwassituated(by) the seawhenthey transgressedinthe (matter of) Sabbathwhencame to themtheir fish(on the) day(of) their Sabbathvisiblyand (on the) daynotthey had Sabbath(they did) notcome to themThusWe test thembecausethey weredefiantly disobeying
7:163
وَإِذْقَالَتْأُمَّةٌۭمِّنْهُمْلِمَتَعِظُونَقَوْمًا ۙٱللَّهُمُهْلِكُهُمْأَوْمُعَذِّبُهُمْعَذَابًۭاشَدِيدًۭا ۖقَالُوا۟مَعْذِرَةًإِلَىٰرَبِّكُمْوَلَعَلَّهُمْيَتَّقُونَ
yattaqūnawalaʿallahumrabbikumilāmaʿdhiratanqālūshadīdanʿadhābanmuʿadhibuhumawmuh'likuhuml-lahuqawmantaʿiẓūnalimamin'humummatunqālatwa-idh
And whensaida communityamong themWhy(do) you preacha people(whom) Allah(is going to) destroy themorpunish them(with) a punishmentsevereThey saidTo be absolvedbeforeyour Lordand that they maybecome righteous
7:164
فَلَمَّانَسُوا۟مَاذُكِّرُوا۟بِهِۦٓأَنجَيْنَاٱلَّذِينَيَنْهَوْنَعَنِٱلسُّوٓءِوَأَخَذْنَاٱلَّذِينَظَلَمُوا۟بِعَذَابٍۭبَـِٔيسٍۭبِمَاكَانُوا۟يَفْسُقُونَ
yafsuqūnakānūbimābaīsinbiʿadhābinẓalamūalladhīnawa-akhadhnāl-sūiʿaniyanhawnaalladhīnaanjaynābihidhukkirūmānasūfalammā
So whenthey forgotwhatthey had been remindedwith [it]We savedthose whoforbade[from]the eviland We seizedthose whowrongedwith a punishmentwretchedbecausethey weredefiantly disobeying
7:165
فَلَمَّاعَتَوْا۟عَنمَّانُهُوا۟عَنْهُقُلْنَالَهُمْكُونُوا۟قِرَدَةًخَـٰسِـِٔينَ
khāsiīnaqiradatankūnūlahumqul'nāʿanhunuhūmāʿanʿatawfalammā
So whenthey exceeded all boundsaboutwhatthey were forbiddenfrom itWe saidto themBeapesdespised
7:166
وَإِذْتَأَذَّنَرَبُّكَلَيَبْعَثَنَّعَلَيْهِمْإِلَىٰيَوْمِٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِمَنيَسُومُهُمْسُوٓءَٱلْعَذَابِ ۗإِنَّرَبَّكَلَسَرِيعُٱلْعِقَابِ ۖوَإِنَّهُۥلَغَفُورٌۭرَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmunlaghafūrunwa-innahul-ʿiqābilasarīʿurabbakainnal-ʿadhābisūayasūmuhummanl-qiyāmatiyawmiilāʿalayhimlayabʿathannarabbukata-adhanawa-idh
And whendeclaredyour Lordthat He would surely sendupon themtill(the) Day(of) the Resurrection(those) whowould afflict them(with) a grievous[the] punishmentIndeedyour Lord(is) surely swift(in) the retributionbut indeed, He(is) surely Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful
7:167
وَقَطَّعْنَـٰهُمْفِىٱلْأَرْضِأُمَمًۭا ۖمِّنْهُمُٱلصَّـٰلِحُونَوَمِنْهُمْدُونَذَٰلِكَ ۖوَبَلَوْنَـٰهُمبِٱلْحَسَنَـٰتِوَٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِلَعَلَّهُمْيَرْجِعُونَ
yarjiʿūnalaʿallahumwal-sayiātibil-ḥasanātiwabalawnāhumdhālikadūnawamin'huml-ṣāliḥūnamin'humuumamanl-arḍifīwaqaṭṭaʿnāhum
And We divided theminthe earth(as) nationsAmong them(are) the righteousand among them(are) other thanthatAnd We tested themwith the goodand the badso that they mayreturn
7:168
فَخَلَفَمِنۢبَعْدِهِمْخَلْفٌۭوَرِثُوا۟ٱلْكِتَـٰبَيَأْخُذُونَعَرَضَهَـٰذَاٱلْأَدْنَىٰوَيَقُولُونَسَيُغْفَرُلَنَاوَإِنيَأْتِهِمْعَرَضٌۭمِّثْلُهُۥيَأْخُذُوهُ ۚأَلَمْيُؤْخَذْعَلَيْهِممِّيثَـٰقُٱلْكِتَـٰبِأَنلَّايَقُولُوا۟عَلَىٱللَّهِإِلَّاٱلْحَقَّوَدَرَسُوا۟مَافِيهِ ۗوَٱلدَّارُٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُخَيْرٌۭلِّلَّذِينَيَتَّقُونَ ۗأَفَلَاتَعْقِلُونَ
taʿqilūnaafalāyattaqūnalilladhīnakhayrunl-ākhiratuwal-dārufīhimāwadarasūl-ḥaqaillāl-lahiʿalāyaqūlūlāanl-kitābimīthāquʿalayhimyu'khadhalamyakhudhūhumith'luhuʿaraḍunyatihimwa-inlanāsayugh'faruwayaqūlūnal-adnāhādhāʿaraḍayakhudhūnal-kitābawarithūkhalfunbaʿdihimminfakhalafa
Then succeededfromafter themsuccessors(who) inheritedthe Booktakinggoods(of) thisthe lower (life)and they sayIt will be forgivenfor usAnd ifcomes to themgoodssimilar to itthey will take itWas nottakenon themCovenant(of) the Bookthatnotthey will sayaboutAllahexceptthe truthwhile they studiedwhat(is) in itAnd the home(of) the Hereafter(is) betterfor those whofear AllahSo will notyou use intellect
7:169
وَٱلَّذِينَيُمَسِّكُونَبِٱلْكِتَـٰبِوَأَقَامُوا۟ٱلصَّلَوٰةَإِنَّالَانُضِيعُأَجْرَٱلْمُصْلِحِينَ
l-muṣ'liḥīnaajranuḍīʿulāinnāl-ṣalatawa-aqāmūbil-kitābiyumassikūnawa-alladhīna
And those whohold fastto the Bookand establishthe prayerindeed, We(will) not[We] let go waste(the) reward(of) the reformers
7:170
۞ وَإِذْنَتَقْنَاٱلْجَبَلَفَوْقَهُمْكَأَنَّهُۥظُلَّةٌۭوَظَنُّوٓا۟أَنَّهُۥوَاقِعٌۢبِهِمْخُذُوا۟مَآءَاتَيْنَـٰكُمبِقُوَّةٍۢوَٱذْكُرُوا۟مَافِيهِلَعَلَّكُمْتَتَّقُونَ
tattaqūnalaʿallakumfīhimāwa-udh'kurūbiquwwatinātaynākummākhudhūbihimwāqiʿunannahuwaẓannūẓullatunka-annahufawqahuml-jabalanataqnāwa-idh
And whenWe raisedthe mountainabove themas if it wasa canopyand they thoughtthat it(would) fallupon them(We said), "TakewhatWe have given youwith strengthand rememberwhat(is) in itso that you mayfear Allah
7:171
وَإِذْأَخَذَرَبُّكَمِنۢبَنِىٓءَادَمَمِنظُهُورِهِمْذُرِّيَّتَهُمْوَأَشْهَدَهُمْعَلَىٰٓأَنفُسِهِمْأَلَسْتُبِرَبِّكُمْ ۖقَالُوا۟بَلَىٰ ۛشَهِدْنَآ ۛأَنتَقُولُوا۟يَوْمَٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِإِنَّاكُنَّاعَنْهَـٰذَاغَـٰفِلِينَ
ghāfilīnahādhāʿankunnāinnāl-qiyāmatiyawmataqūlūanshahid'nābalāqālūbirabbikumalastuanfusihimʿalāwa-ashhadahumdhurriyyatahumẓuhūrihimminādamabanīminrabbukaakhadhawa-idh
And when(was) taken(by) your Lordfrom(the) Children(of) Adam fromtheir loins their descendantsand made them testifyoverthemselvesAm I notyour LordThey saidYeswe have testifiedLestyou say(on the) Day(of) the ResurrectionIndeedwe wereaboutthisunaware
7:172
أَوْتَقُولُوٓا۟إِنَّمَآأَشْرَكَءَابَآؤُنَامِنقَبْلُوَكُنَّاذُرِّيَّةًۭمِّنۢبَعْدِهِمْ ۖأَفَتُهْلِكُنَابِمَافَعَلَٱلْمُبْطِلُونَ
l-mub'ṭilūnafaʿalabimāafatuh'likunābaʿdihimmindhurriyyatanwakunnāqabluminābāunāashrakainnamātaqūlūaw
Oryou sayOnlypartners (were) associated (with Allah)(by) our forefathersfrombefore (us)and we aredescendantsfromafter themSo will You destroy usfor whatdidthe falsifiers
7:173
وَكَذَٰلِكَنُفَصِّلُٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِوَلَعَلَّهُمْيَرْجِعُونَ
yarjiʿūnawalaʿallahuml-āyātinufaṣṣiluwakadhālika
And thusWe explainthe Versesso that they mayreturn
7:174
وَٱتْلُعَلَيْهِمْنَبَأَٱلَّذِىٓءَاتَيْنَـٰهُءَايَـٰتِنَافَٱنسَلَخَمِنْهَافَأَتْبَعَهُٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُفَكَانَمِنَٱلْغَاوِينَ
l-ghāwīnaminafakānal-shayṭānufa-atbaʿahumin'hāfa-insalakhaāyātināātaynāhualladhīnaba-aʿalayhimwa-ut'lu
And reciteto them(the) story(of the) one whomWe gave [him]Our Versesbut he detached[from] themso followed himthe Shaitaanand he becameofthose gone astray
7:175
وَلَوْشِئْنَالَرَفَعْنَـٰهُبِهَاوَلَـٰكِنَّهُۥٓأَخْلَدَإِلَىٱلْأَرْضِوَٱتَّبَعَهَوَىٰهُ ۚفَمَثَلُهُۥكَمَثَلِٱلْكَلْبِإِنتَحْمِلْعَلَيْهِيَلْهَثْأَوْتَتْرُكْهُيَلْهَث ۚذَّٰلِكَمَثَلُٱلْقَوْمِٱلَّذِينَكَذَّبُوا۟بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا ۚفَٱقْصُصِٱلْقَصَصَلَعَلَّهُمْيَتَفَكَّرُونَ
yatafakkarūnalaʿallahuml-qaṣaṣafa-uq'ṣuṣibiāyātinākadhabūalladhīnal-qawmimathaludhālikayalhathtatruk'huawyalhathʿalayhitaḥmilinl-kalbikamathalifamathaluhuhawāhuwa-ittabaʿal-arḍiilāakhladawalākinnahubihālarafaʿnāhushi'nāwalaw
And ifWe willedsurely, We (could) have raised himwith these[and] but headheredtothe earthand followedhis (vain) desiresSo his example(is) like (the) example(of) the dogifyou attack[on] himhe lolls out his tongueorif you leave himhe lolls out his tongueThat(is the) example(of) the peoplewhodenied[in] Our SignsSo relatethe storyso that they mayreflect
7:176
سَآءَمَثَلًاٱلْقَوْمُٱلَّذِينَكَذَّبُوا۟بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاوَأَنفُسَهُمْكَانُوا۟يَظْلِمُونَ
yaẓlimūnakānūwa-anfusahumbiāyātinākadhabūalladhīnal-qawmumathalansāa
Evil(as) an example(are) the peoplethose whodeniedOur Signsand themselvesthey used towrong
7:177
مَنيَهْدِٱللَّهُفَهُوَٱلْمُهْتَدِى ۖوَمَنيُضْلِلْفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْخَـٰسِرُونَ
l-khāsirūnahumufa-ulāikayuḍ'lilwamanl-muh'tadīfahuwal-lahuyahdiman
Whoever(is) guided(by) Allahthen he(is) the guided onewhile whoeverHe lets go astraythen those[they](are) the losers
7:178
وَلَقَدْذَرَأْنَالِجَهَنَّمَكَثِيرًۭامِّنَٱلْجِنِّوَٱلْإِنسِ ۖلَهُمْقُلُوبٌۭلَّايَفْقَهُونَبِهَاوَلَهُمْأَعْيُنٌۭلَّايُبْصِرُونَبِهَاوَلَهُمْءَاذَانٌۭلَّايَسْمَعُونَبِهَآ ۚأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَكَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِبَلْهُمْأَضَلُّ ۚأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْغَـٰفِلُونَ
l-ghāfilūnahumuulāikaaḍalluhumbalkal-anʿāmiulāikabihāyasmaʿūnalāādhānunwalahumbihāyub'ṣirūnalāaʿyununwalahumbihāyafqahūnalāqulūbunlahumwal-insil-jiniminakathīranlijahannamadharanāwalaqad
And certainlyWe have createdfor Hellmanyofthe jinnand menFor them(are) hearts(but) notthey understandwith themand for them(are) eyes(but) notthey seewith themand for them(are) ears(but) notthey hearwith themThose(are) like cattlenaythey(are) more astrayThose they(are) the heedless
7:179
وَلِلَّهِٱلْأَسْمَآءُٱلْحُسْنَىٰفَٱدْعُوهُبِهَا ۖوَذَرُوا۟ٱلَّذِينَيُلْحِدُونَفِىٓأَسْمَـٰٓئِهِۦ ۚسَيُجْزَوْنَمَاكَانُوا۟يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnakānūmāsayuj'zawnaasmāihifīyul'ḥidūnaalladhīnawadharūbihāfa-id'ʿūhul-ḥus'nāl-asmāuwalillahi
And for Allah(are) the names the most beautifulso invoke Himby themAnd leavethose whodeviateconcerningHis namesThey will be recompensedfor whatthey used todo
7:180
وَمِمَّنْخَلَقْنَآأُمَّةٌۭيَهْدُونَبِٱلْحَقِّوَبِهِۦيَعْدِلُونَ
yaʿdilūnawabihibil-ḥaqiyahdūnaummatunkhalaqnāwamimman
And of (those) whomWe have created(is) a nationwho guideswith the truthand therebythey establish justice
7:181
وَٱلَّذِينَكَذَّبُوا۟بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاسَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُممِّنْحَيْثُلَايَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnalāḥaythuminsanastadrijuhumbiāyātinākadhabūwa-alladhīna
But those whodeniedOur SignsWe will gradually lead themfromwherenotthey know
7:182
وَأُمْلِىلَهُمْ ۚإِنَّكَيْدِىمَتِينٌ
matīnunkaydīinnalahumwa-um'lī
And I will give respiteto themIndeedMy plan(is) firm
7:183
أَوَلَمْيَتَفَكَّرُوا۟ ۗمَابِصَاحِبِهِممِّنجِنَّةٍ ۚإِنْهُوَإِلَّانَذِيرٌۭمُّبِينٌ
mubīnunnadhīrunillāhuwainjinnatinminbiṣāḥibihimmāyatafakkarūawalam
Do notthey reflectNotin their companion[of](is) any madnessNothe(is) buta warnerclear
7:184
أَوَلَمْيَنظُرُوا۟فِىمَلَكُوتِٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِوَمَاخَلَقَٱللَّهُمِنشَىْءٍۢوَأَنْعَسَىٰٓأَنيَكُونَقَدِٱقْتَرَبَأَجَلُهُمْ ۖفَبِأَىِّحَدِيثٍۭبَعْدَهُۥيُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūnabaʿdahuḥadīthinfabi-ayyiajaluhumiq'tarabaqadiyakūnaanʿasāwa-anshayinminl-lahukhalaqawamāwal-arḍil-samāwātimalakūtifīyanẓurūawalam
Do notthey lookin(the) dominion(of) the heavensand the earthand whathas (been) created(by) Allahof(every)thingand thatperhaps[that]hasverilycome near their termSo in whatstatementafter thiswill they believe
7:185
مَنيُضْلِلِٱللَّهُفَلَاهَادِىَلَهُۥ ۚوَيَذَرُهُمْفِىطُغْيَـٰنِهِمْيَعْمَهُونَ
yaʿmahūnaṭugh'yānihimfīwayadharuhumlahuhādiyafalāl-lahuyuḍ'liliman
Whoever(is) let go astray(by) Allahthen (there is) noguidefor himAnd He leaves themintheir transgressionwandering blindly
7:186
يَسْـَٔلُونَكَعَنِٱلسَّاعَةِأَيَّانَمُرْسَىٰهَا ۖقُلْإِنَّمَاعِلْمُهَاعِندَرَبِّى ۖلَايُجَلِّيهَالِوَقْتِهَآإِلَّاهُوَ ۚثَقُلَتْفِىٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚلَاتَأْتِيكُمْإِلَّابَغْتَةًۭ ۗيَسْـَٔلُونَكَكَأَنَّكَحَفِىٌّعَنْهَا ۖقُلْإِنَّمَاعِلْمُهَاعِندَٱللَّهِوَلَـٰكِنَّأَكْثَرَٱلنَّاسِلَايَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnalāl-nāsiaktharawalākinnal-lahiʿindaʿil'muhāinnamāqulʿanhāḥafiyyunka-annakayasalūnakabaghtatanillātatīkumlāwal-arḍil-samāwātifīthaqulathuwaillāliwaqtihāyujallīhālārabbīʿindaʿil'muhāinnamāqulmur'sāhāayyānal-sāʿatiʿaniyasalūnaka
They ask youaboutthe Hourwhen will beits appointed timeSayOnlyits knowledge(is) withmy Lordno (one)can reveal [it]its timeexceptHimIt lays heavilyinthe heavensand the earthNotwill it come to youbutsuddenlyThey ask youas if you(were) well informedabout itSayOnlyits knowledge(is) withAllahbutmost(of) the people(do) notknow
7:187
قُللَّآأَمْلِكُلِنَفْسِىنَفْعًۭاوَلَاضَرًّاإِلَّامَاشَآءَٱللَّهُ ۚوَلَوْكُنتُأَعْلَمُٱلْغَيْبَلَٱسْتَكْثَرْتُمِنَٱلْخَيْرِوَمَامَسَّنِىَٱلسُّوٓءُ ۚإِنْأَنَا۠إِلَّانَذِيرٌۭوَبَشِيرٌۭلِّقَوْمٍۢيُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūnaliqawminwabashīrunnadhīrunillāanāinl-sūumassaniyawamāl-khayriminala-is'takthartul-ghaybaaʿlamukuntuwalawl-lahushāamāillāḍarranwalānafʿanlinafsīamlikulāqul
SayNotI have powerfor myself(to) benefitand no(power to) harmexceptwhatwillsAllahAnd ifI wouldknow(of) the unseensurely I could have multipliedofthe goodand not(could) have touched methe evilNot(am) Iexcepta warnerand a bearer of good tidingsto a peoplewho believe
7:188
۞ هُوَٱلَّذِىخَلَقَكُممِّننَّفْسٍۢوَٰحِدَةٍۢوَجَعَلَمِنْهَازَوْجَهَالِيَسْكُنَإِلَيْهَا ۖفَلَمَّاتَغَشَّىٰهَاحَمَلَتْحَمْلًاخَفِيفًۭافَمَرَّتْبِهِۦ ۖفَلَمَّآأَثْقَلَتدَّعَوَاٱللَّهَرَبَّهُمَالَئِنْءَاتَيْتَنَاصَـٰلِحًۭالَّنَكُونَنَّمِنَٱلشَّـٰكِرِينَ
l-shākirīnaminalanakūnannaṣāliḥanātaytanāla-inrabbahumāl-lahadaʿawāathqalatfalammābihifamarratkhafīfanḥamlanḥamalattaghashāhāfalammāilayhāliyaskunazawjahāmin'hāwajaʿalawāḥidatinnafsinminkhalaqakumalladhīhuwa
He(is) the One Whocreated youfroma soulsingleand madefrom itits matethat he might livewith herAnd whenhe covers hershe carriesa burdenlightand continueswith itBut whenshe grows heavythey both invokeAllahtheir LordIfYou give usa righteous (child)surely we will beamongthe thankful
7:189
فَلَمَّآءَاتَىٰهُمَاصَـٰلِحًۭاجَعَلَالَهُۥشُرَكَآءَفِيمَآءَاتَىٰهُمَا ۚفَتَعَـٰلَىٱللَّهُعَمَّايُشْرِكُونَ
yush'rikūnaʿammāl-lahufataʿālāātāhumāfīmāshurakāalahujaʿalāṣāliḥanātāhumāfalammā
But whenHe gives thema good, (child)they makefor Himpartnersin whatHe has given themBut exalted(is) Allahabove whatthey associate (with Him)
7:190
أَيُشْرِكُونَمَالَايَخْلُقُشَيْـًۭٔاوَهُمْيُخْلَقُونَ
yukh'laqūnawahumshayanyakhluqulāmāayush'rikūna
Do they associatewhat(can) notcreateanythingand theyare created
7:191
وَلَايَسْتَطِيعُونَلَهُمْنَصْرًۭاوَلَآأَنفُسَهُمْيَنصُرُونَ
yanṣurūnaanfusahumwalānaṣranlahumyastaṭīʿūnawalā
And notthey are ableto (give) themany helpand notthemselvescan they help
7:192
وَإِنتَدْعُوهُمْإِلَىٱلْهُدَىٰلَايَتَّبِعُوكُمْ ۚسَوَآءٌعَلَيْكُمْأَدَعَوْتُمُوهُمْأَمْأَنتُمْصَـٰمِتُونَ
ṣāmitūnaantumamadaʿawtumūhumʿalaykumsawāonyattabiʿūkumlāl-hudāilātadʿūhumwa-in
And ifyou call themtothe guidancenotwill they follow you(It is) samefor youwhether you call themoryouremain silent
7:193
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَتَدْعُونَمِندُونِٱللَّهِعِبَادٌأَمْثَالُكُمْ ۖفَٱدْعُوهُمْفَلْيَسْتَجِيبُوا۟لَكُمْإِنكُنتُمْصَـٰدِقِينَ
ṣādiqīnakuntuminlakumfalyastajībūfa-id'ʿūhumamthālukumʿibādunl-lahidūnimintadʿūnaalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whomyou callfrombesidesAllah(are) slaveslike youSo invoke themand let them respondto youifyou aretruthful
7:194
أَلَهُمْأَرْجُلٌۭيَمْشُونَبِهَآ ۖأَمْلَهُمْأَيْدٍۢيَبْطِشُونَبِهَآ ۖأَمْلَهُمْأَعْيُنٌۭيُبْصِرُونَبِهَآ ۖأَمْلَهُمْءَاذَانٌۭيَسْمَعُونَبِهَا ۗقُلِٱدْعُوا۟شُرَكَآءَكُمْثُمَّكِيدُونِفَلَاتُنظِرُونِ
tunẓirūnifalākīdūnithummashurakāakumid'ʿūqulibihāyasmaʿūnaādhānunlahumambihāyub'ṣirūnaaʿyununlahumambihāyabṭishūnaaydinlahumambihāyamshūnaarjulunalahum
Are for themfeet(to) walkwith [it]orfor themhands(to) holdwith [it]orfor themeyes(to) seewith [it]orfor themears(to) hearwith [it]SayCallyour partnersthenscheme against meand (do) notgive me respite
7:195
إِنَّوَلِـِّۧىَٱللَّهُٱلَّذِىنَزَّلَٱلْكِتَـٰبَ ۖوَهُوَيَتَوَلَّىٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
l-ṣāliḥīnayatawallāwahuwal-kitābanazzalaalladhīl-lahuwaliyyiyainna
Indeedmy protector(is) Allahthe One Whorevealedthe BookAnd Heprotectsthe righteous
7:196
وَٱلَّذِينَتَدْعُونَمِندُونِهِۦلَايَسْتَطِيعُونَنَصْرَكُمْوَلَآأَنفُسَهُمْيَنصُرُونَ
yanṣurūnaanfusahumwalānaṣrakumyastaṭīʿūnalādūnihimintadʿūnawa-alladhīna
And those whomyou invokefrombesides Himnotthey are able(to) help youand notthemselvescan they help
7:197
وَإِنتَدْعُوهُمْإِلَىٱلْهُدَىٰلَايَسْمَعُوا۟ ۖوَتَرَىٰهُمْيَنظُرُونَإِلَيْكَوَهُمْلَايُبْصِرُونَ
yub'ṣirūnalāwahumilaykayanẓurūnawatarāhumyasmaʿūlāl-hudāilātadʿūhumwa-in
And ifyou call themtothe guidancenotdo they notAnd you see themlookingat youbut they not(do) they see
7:198
خُذِٱلْعَفْوَوَأْمُرْبِٱلْعُرْفِوَأَعْرِضْعَنِٱلْجَـٰهِلِينَ
l-jāhilīnaʿaniwa-aʿriḍbil-ʿur'fiwamurl-ʿafwakhudhi
Hold(to) forgivenessand enjointhe goodand turn awayfromthe ignorant
7:199
وَإِمَّايَنزَغَنَّكَمِنَٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِنَزْغٌۭفَٱسْتَعِذْبِٱللَّهِ ۚإِنَّهُۥسَمِيعٌعَلِيمٌ
ʿalīmunsamīʿuninnahubil-lahifa-is'taʿidhnazghunl-shayṭāniminayanzaghannakawa-immā
And ifan evil suggestion comes to youfrom[the] Shaitaan[an evil suggestion]then seek refugein AllahIndeed, He(is) All-HearingAll-Knowing
7:200
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَٱتَّقَوْا۟إِذَامَسَّهُمْطَـٰٓئِفٌۭمِّنَٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِتَذَكَّرُوا۟فَإِذَاهُممُّبْصِرُونَ
mub'ṣirūnahumfa-idhātadhakkarūl-shayṭāniminaṭāifunmassahumidhāittaqawalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whofear (Allah)whentouches theman evil thoughtfromthe Shaitaanthey remember (Allah)and thenthey(are) those who see (aright)
7:201
وَإِخْوَٰنُهُمْيَمُدُّونَهُمْفِىٱلْغَىِّثُمَّلَايُقْصِرُونَ
yuq'ṣirūnalāthummal-ghayifīyamuddūnahumwa-ikh'wānuhum
But their brothersthey plunge theminthe errorthennotthey cease
7:202
وَإِذَالَمْتَأْتِهِمبِـَٔايَةٍۢقَالُوا۟لَوْلَاٱجْتَبَيْتَهَا ۚقُلْإِنَّمَآأَتَّبِعُمَايُوحَىٰٓإِلَىَّمِنرَّبِّى ۚهَـٰذَابَصَآئِرُمِنرَّبِّكُمْوَهُدًۭىوَرَحْمَةٌۭلِّقَوْمٍۢيُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūnaliqawminwaraḥmatunwahudanrabbikumminbaṣāiruhādhārabbīminilayyayūḥāmāattabiʿuinnamāqulij'tabaytahālawlāqālūbiāyatintatihimlamwa-idhā
And whennotyou bring thema Signthey sayWhy (have) notyou devised itSayOnlyI followwhatis revealedto mefrommy LordThis (is)enlightenmentfromyour Lordand guidanceand mercyfor a peoplewho believe
7:203
وَإِذَاقُرِئَٱلْقُرْءَانُفَٱسْتَمِعُوا۟لَهُۥوَأَنصِتُوا۟لَعَلَّكُمْتُرْحَمُونَ
tur'ḥamūnalaʿallakumwa-anṣitūlahufa-is'tamiʿūl-qur'ānuquri-awa-idhā
And whenis recitedthe Quranthen listento itand pay attentionso that you mayreceive mercy
7:204
وَٱذْكُررَّبَّكَفِىنَفْسِكَتَضَرُّعًۭاوَخِيفَةًۭوَدُونَٱلْجَهْرِمِنَٱلْقَوْلِبِٱلْغُدُوِّوَٱلْـَٔاصَالِوَلَاتَكُنمِّنَٱلْغَـٰفِلِينَ
l-ghāfilīnaminatakunwalāwal-āṣālibil-ghuduwil-qawliminal-jahriwadūnawakhīfatantaḍarruʿannafsikafīrabbakawa-udh'kur
And rememberyour Lordinyourselfhumblyand (in) fearand withoutthe loudnessof[the] wordsin the morningsand (in) the eveningsAnd (do) notbeamongthe heedless
7:205
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَعِندَرَبِّكَلَايَسْتَكْبِرُونَعَنْعِبَادَتِهِۦوَيُسَبِّحُونَهُۥوَلَهُۥيَسْجُدُونَ ۩
yasjudūnawalahuwayusabbiḥūnahuʿibādatihiʿanyastakbirūnalārabbikaʿindaalladhīnainna
Indeedthose who(are) nearyour Lordnot(do) they turn away in pridefromHis worshipAnd they glorify Himand to Himthey prostrate
7:206
Basmala
يَسْـَٔلُونَكَعَنِٱلْأَنفَالِ ۖقُلِٱلْأَنفَالُلِلَّهِوَٱلرَّسُولِ ۖفَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَأَصْلِحُوا۟ذَاتَبَيْنِكُمْ ۖوَأَطِيعُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَرَسُولَهُۥٓإِنكُنتُممُّؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīnakuntuminwarasūlahul-lahawa-aṭīʿūbaynikumdhātawa-aṣliḥūl-lahafa-ittaqūwal-rasūlilillahil-anfāluqulil-anfāliʿaniyasalūnaka
They ask youaboutthe spoils of warSayThe spoils of war(are) for Allahand the MessengerSo fearAllahand set rightthat(which is) between youand obeyAllahand His Messengerifyou arebelievers
8:1
إِنَّمَاٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَٱلَّذِينَإِذَاذُكِرَٱللَّهُوَجِلَتْقُلُوبُهُمْوَإِذَاتُلِيَتْعَلَيْهِمْءَايَـٰتُهُۥزَادَتْهُمْإِيمَـٰنًۭاوَعَلَىٰرَبِّهِمْيَتَوَكَّلُونَ
yatawakkalūnarabbihimwaʿalāīmānanzādathumāyātuhuʿalayhimtuliyatwa-idhāqulūbuhumwajilatl-lahudhukiraidhāalladhīnal-mu'minūnainnamā
Onlythe believers(are) those whowhenis mentionedAllahfeel feartheir heartsand whenare recitedto themHis Versesthey increase them(in) faithand upontheir Lordthey put their trust
8:2
ٱلَّذِينَيُقِيمُونَٱلصَّلَوٰةَوَمِمَّارَزَقْنَـٰهُمْيُنفِقُونَ
yunfiqūnarazaqnāhumwamimmāl-ṣalatayuqīmūnaalladhīna
Those whoestablishthe prayerand out of whatWe have provided themthey spend
8:3
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَحَقًّۭا ۚلَّهُمْدَرَجَـٰتٌعِندَرَبِّهِمْوَمَغْفِرَةٌۭوَرِزْقٌۭكَرِيمٌۭ
karīmunwariz'qunwamaghfiratunrabbihimʿindadarajātunlahumḥaqqanl-mu'minūnahumuulāika
Those they arethe believers(in) truthFor them(are) rankswiththeir Lordand forgivenessand a provisionnoble
8:4
كَمَآأَخْرَجَكَرَبُّكَمِنۢبَيْتِكَبِٱلْحَقِّوَإِنَّفَرِيقًۭامِّنَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَلَكَـٰرِهُونَ
lakārihūnal-mu'minīnaminafarīqanwa-innabil-ḥaqibaytikaminrabbukaakhrajakakamā
Asbrought you outyour Lordfromyour homein truthwhile indeeda partyamongthe believerscertainly disliked
8:5
يُجَـٰدِلُونَكَفِىٱلْحَقِّبَعْدَ مَاتَبَيَّنَكَأَنَّمَايُسَاقُونَإِلَىٱلْمَوْتِوَهُمْيَنظُرُونَ
yanẓurūnawahuml-mawtiilāyusāqūnaka-annamātabayyanabaʿdamāl-ḥaqifīyujādilūnaka
They dispute with youconcerningthe truthafter whatwas made clearas ifthey were drivento[the] deathwhile they(were) looking
8:6
وَإِذْيَعِدُكُمُٱللَّهُإِحْدَىٱلطَّآئِفَتَيْنِأَنَّهَالَكُمْوَتَوَدُّونَأَنَّغَيْرَذَاتِٱلشَّوْكَةِتَكُونُلَكُمْوَيُرِيدُٱللَّهُأَنيُحِقَّٱلْحَقَّبِكَلِمَـٰتِهِۦوَيَقْطَعَدَابِرَٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīnadābirawayaqṭaʿabikalimātihil-ḥaqayuḥiqqaanl-lahuwayurīdulakumtakūnul-shawkatidhātighayraannawatawaddūnalakumannahāl-ṭāifatayniiḥ'dāl-lahuyaʿidukumuwa-idh
And whenpromised youAllahone(of) the two groups that it (would be)for you and you wishedthat(one) other thanthat(of) the armedwould befor youBut intendedAllahtojustifythe truthby His wordsand cut off(the) roots(of) the disbelievers
8:7
لِيُحِقَّٱلْحَقَّوَيُبْطِلَٱلْبَـٰطِلَوَلَوْكَرِهَٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
l-muj'rimūnakarihawalawl-bāṭilawayub'ṭilal-ḥaqaliyuḥiqqa
That He might justifythe truthand prove falsethe falsehoodeven ifdisliked (it)the criminals
8:8
إِذْتَسْتَغِيثُونَرَبَّكُمْفَٱسْتَجَابَلَكُمْأَنِّىمُمِدُّكُمبِأَلْفٍۢمِّنَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِمُرْدِفِينَ
mur'difīnal-malāikatiminabi-alfinmumiddukumannīlakumfa-is'tajābarabbakumtastaghīthūnaidh
Whenyou were seeking help(of) your Lordand He answered[to] youIndeed, I amgoing to reinforce youwith a thousandofthe Angelsone after another
8:9
وَمَاجَعَلَهُٱللَّهُإِلَّابُشْرَىٰوَلِتَطْمَئِنَّبِهِۦقُلُوبُكُمْ ۚوَمَاٱلنَّصْرُإِلَّامِنْعِندِٱللَّهِ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَعَزِيزٌحَكِيمٌ
ḥakīmunʿazīzunl-lahainnal-lahiʿindiminillāl-naṣruwamāqulūbukumbihiwalitaṭma-innabush'rāillāl-lahujaʿalahuwamā
And not(it was) made(by) Allahbutgood tidingsand so that might be at restwith ityour heartsAnd (there is) no[the] victoryexceptfrom[of]AllahIndeedAllah(is) All-MightyAll-Wise
8:10
إِذْيُغَشِّيكُمُٱلنُّعَاسَأَمَنَةًۭمِّنْهُوَيُنَزِّلُعَلَيْكُممِّنَٱلسَّمَآءِمَآءًۭلِّيُطَهِّرَكُمبِهِۦوَيُذْهِبَعَنكُمْرِجْزَٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِوَلِيَرْبِطَعَلَىٰقُلُوبِكُمْوَيُثَبِّتَبِهِٱلْأَقْدَامَ
l-aqdāmabihiwayuthabbitaqulūbikumʿalāwaliyarbiṭal-shayṭānirij'zaʿankumwayudh'hibabihiliyuṭahhirakummāanl-samāiminaʿalaykumwayunazzilumin'huamanatanl-nuʿāsayughashīkumuidh
WhenHe covered youwith [the] slumbera securityfrom Himand sent downupon youfromthe skywaterso that He may purify youwith itand take awayfrom youevil (suggestions)(of) the ShaitaanAnd to strengthen[on]your heartsand make firmwith ityour feet
8:11
إِذْيُوحِىرَبُّكَإِلَىٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِأَنِّىمَعَكُمْفَثَبِّتُوا۟ٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟ ۚسَأُلْقِىفِىقُلُوبِٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟ٱلرُّعْبَفَٱضْرِبُوا۟فَوْقَٱلْأَعْنَاقِوَٱضْرِبُوا۟مِنْهُمْكُلَّبَنَانٍۢ
banāninkullamin'humwa-iḍ'ribūl-aʿnāqifawqafa-iḍ'ribūl-ruʿ'bakafarūalladhīnaqulūbifīsa-ul'qīāmanūalladhīnafathabbitūmaʿakumannīl-malāikatiilārabbukayūḥīidh
Wheninspiredyour Lordtothe AngelsI amwith youso strengthenthose whobelievedI will castin(the) hearts(of) those whodisbelieved the terrorso strikeabovethe necksand strikefrom themeveryfingertip[s]
8:12
ذَٰلِكَبِأَنَّهُمْشَآقُّوا۟ٱللَّهَوَرَسُولَهُۥ ۚوَمَنيُشَاقِقِٱللَّهَوَرَسُولَهُۥفَإِنَّٱللَّهَشَدِيدُٱلْعِقَابِ
l-ʿiqābishadīdul-lahafa-innawarasūlahul-lahayushāqiqiwamanwarasūlahul-lahashāqqūbi-annahumdhālika
That(is) because theyopposedAllahand His MessengerAnd whoeveropposesAllahand His Messengerthen indeedAllah(is) severein [the] penalty
8:13
ذَٰلِكُمْفَذُوقُوهُوَأَنَّلِلْكَـٰفِرِينَعَذَابَٱلنَّارِ
l-nāriʿadhābalil'kāfirīnawa-annafadhūqūhudhālikum
That So taste itAnd thatfor the disbelievers(is the) punishment(of) the Fire
8:14
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوٓا۟إِذَالَقِيتُمُٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟زَحْفًۭافَلَاتُوَلُّوهُمُٱلْأَدْبَارَ
l-adbāratuwallūhumufalāzaḥfankafarūalladhīnalaqītumuidhāāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieveWhenyou meetthose whodisbelieveadvancingthen (do) notturn to themthe backs
8:15
وَمَنيُوَلِّهِمْيَوْمَئِذٍۢدُبُرَهُۥٓإِلَّامُتَحَرِّفًۭالِّقِتَالٍأَوْمُتَحَيِّزًاإِلَىٰفِئَةٍۢفَقَدْبَآءَبِغَضَبٍۢمِّنَٱللَّهِوَمَأْوَىٰهُجَهَنَّمُ ۖوَبِئْسَٱلْمَصِيرُ
l-maṣīruwabi'sajahannamuwamawāhul-lahiminabighaḍabinbāafaqadfi-atinilāmutaḥayyizanawliqitālinmutaḥarrifanillāduburahuyawma-idhinyuwallihimwaman
And whoeverturns to themthat dayhis backexcept(as) a strategyof waror(to) jointoa groupcertainly(he has) incurredwrathofAllahand his abode(is) Hella wretcheddestination
8:16
فَلَمْتَقْتُلُوهُمْوَلَـٰكِنَّٱللَّهَقَتَلَهُمْ ۚوَمَارَمَيْتَإِذْرَمَيْتَوَلَـٰكِنَّٱللَّهَرَمَىٰ ۚوَلِيُبْلِىَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَمِنْهُبَلَآءًحَسَنًا ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَسَمِيعٌعَلِيمٌۭ
ʿalīmunsamīʿunl-lahainnaḥasananbalāanmin'hul-mu'minīnawaliyub'liyaramāl-lahawalākinnaramaytaidhramaytawamāqatalahuml-lahawalākinnataqtulūhumfalam
And notyou kill thembutAllahkilled themAnd notyou threwwhenyou threwbutAllahthrewand that He may testthe believersfrom Him(with) a trialgoodIndeedAllah(is) All-HearingAll-Knowing
8:17
ذَٰلِكُمْوَأَنَّٱللَّهَمُوهِنُكَيْدِٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīnakaydimūhinul-lahawa-annadhālikum
That (is the case)and thatAllah (is)one who makes weak(the) plan(of) the disbelievers
8:18
إِنتَسْتَفْتِحُوا۟فَقَدْجَآءَكُمُٱلْفَتْحُ ۖوَإِنتَنتَهُوا۟فَهُوَخَيْرٌۭلَّكُمْ ۖوَإِنتَعُودُوا۟نَعُدْوَلَنتُغْنِىَعَنكُمْفِئَتُكُمْشَيْـًۭٔاوَلَوْكَثُرَتْوَأَنَّٱللَّهَمَعَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīnamaʿal-lahawa-annakathuratwalawshayanfi-atukumʿankumtugh'niyawalannaʿudtaʿūdūwa-inlakumkhayrunfahuwatantahūwa-inl-fatḥujāakumufaqadtastaftiḥūin
Ifyou ask for victorythen certainlyhas come to youthe victoryAnd ifyou desistthen it (is)goodfor youbut ifyou returnWe will return (too)And neverwill availyouyour forcesanythingeven if(they are) numerousAnd thatAllah(is) withthe believers
8:19
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوٓا۟أَطِيعُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَرَسُولَهُۥوَلَاتَوَلَّوْا۟عَنْهُوَأَنتُمْتَسْمَعُونَ
tasmaʿūnawa-antumʿanhutawallawwalāwarasūlahul-lahaaṭīʿūāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieveObeyAllahand His MessengerAnd (do) notturn awayfrom himwhile youhear
8:20
وَلَاتَكُونُوا۟كَٱلَّذِينَقَالُوا۟سَمِعْنَاوَهُمْلَايَسْمَعُونَ
yasmaʿūnalāwahumsamiʿ'nāqālūka-alladhīnatakūnūwalā
And (do) notbelike those whosayWe heardwhile they(do) nothear
8:21
۞ إِنَّشَرَّٱلدَّوَآبِّعِندَٱللَّهِٱلصُّمُّٱلْبُكْمُٱلَّذِينَلَايَعْقِلُونَ
yaʿqilūnalāalladhīnal-buk'mul-ṣumul-lahiʿindal-dawābisharrainna
Indeedworst(of) the living creaturesnearAllah(are) the deafthe dumb those who(do) notuse (their) intellect
8:22
وَلَوْعَلِمَٱللَّهُفِيهِمْخَيْرًۭالَّأَسْمَعَهُمْ ۖوَلَوْأَسْمَعَهُمْلَتَوَلَّوا۟وَّهُممُّعْرِضُونَ
muʿ'riḍūnawahumlatawallawasmaʿahumwalawla-asmaʿahumkhayranfīhiml-lahuʿalimawalaw
And if(had) knownAllahin themany goodsurely, He (would) have made them hearAnd ifHe had made them hearsurely they would have turned awaywhile they(were) averse
8:23
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟ٱسْتَجِيبُوا۟لِلَّهِوَلِلرَّسُولِإِذَادَعَاكُمْلِمَايُحْيِيكُمْ ۖوَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟أَنَّٱللَّهَيَحُولُبَيْنَٱلْمَرْءِوَقَلْبِهِۦوَأَنَّهُۥٓإِلَيْهِتُحْشَرُونَ
tuḥ'sharūnailayhiwa-annahuwaqalbihil-maribaynayaḥūlul-lahaannawa-iʿ'lamūyuḥ'yīkumlimādaʿākumidhāwalilrrasūlilillahiis'tajībūāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieveRespondto Allahand His Messengerwhenhe calls youto whatgives you lifeAnd knowthatAllahcomes(in) betweena manand his heartand thatto Himyou will be gathered
8:24
وَٱتَّقُوا۟فِتْنَةًۭلَّاتُصِيبَنَّٱلَّذِينَظَلَمُوا۟مِنكُمْخَآصَّةًۭ ۖوَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟أَنَّٱللَّهَشَدِيدُٱلْعِقَابِ
l-ʿiqābishadīdul-lahaannawa-iʿ'lamūkhāṣṣatanminkumẓalamūalladhīnatuṣībannalāfit'natanwa-ittaqū
And feara trialnotwhich will afflictthose whodo wrongamong youexclusivelyAnd knowthatAllah(is) severe(in) the penalty
8:25
وَٱذْكُرُوٓا۟إِذْأَنتُمْقَلِيلٌۭمُّسْتَضْعَفُونَفِىٱلْأَرْضِتَخَافُونَأَنيَتَخَطَّفَكُمُٱلنَّاسُفَـَٔاوَىٰكُمْوَأَيَّدَكُمبِنَصْرِهِۦوَرَزَقَكُممِّنَٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِلَعَلَّكُمْتَشْكُرُونَ
tashkurūnalaʿallakuml-ṭayibātiminawarazaqakumbinaṣrihiwa-ayyadakumfaāwākuml-nāsuyatakhaṭṭafakumuantakhāfūnal-arḍifīmus'taḍʿafūnaqalīlunantumidhwa-udh'kurū
And rememberwhenyou(were) few(and) deemed weakinthe earthfearingthatmight do away with youthe menthen He sheltered youand strengthened youwith His helpand provided youofthe good thingsso that you may(be) thankful
8:26
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟لَاتَخُونُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَٱلرَّسُولَوَتَخُونُوٓا۟أَمَـٰنَـٰتِكُمْوَأَنتُمْتَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūnawa-antumamānātikumwatakhūnūwal-rasūlal-lahatakhūnūlāāmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieve(Do) notbetrayAllahand the Messengeror betrayyour trustswhile youknow
8:27
وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟أَنَّمَآأَمْوَٰلُكُمْوَأَوْلَـٰدُكُمْفِتْنَةٌۭوَأَنَّٱللَّهَعِندَهُۥٓأَجْرٌعَظِيمٌۭ
ʿaẓīmunajrunʿindahul-lahawa-annafit'natunwa-awlādukumamwālukumannamāwa-iʿ'lamū
And knowthatyour wealthand your children(are) a trialAnd thatAllah with Him(is) a rewardgreat
8:28
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوٓا۟إِنتَتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَيَجْعَللَّكُمْفُرْقَانًۭاوَيُكَفِّرْعَنكُمْسَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْوَيَغْفِرْلَكُمْ ۗوَٱللَّهُذُوٱلْفَضْلِٱلْعَظِيمِ
l-ʿaẓīmil-faḍlidhūwal-lahulakumwayaghfirsayyiātikumʿankumwayukaffirfur'qānanlakumyajʿall-lahatattaqūināmanūalladhīnayāayyuhā
O youwhobelieveIfyou fearAllahHe will grantyoua criterionand will removefrom youyour evil deedsand forgiveyouAnd Allah(is) the Possessor(of) Bountythe Great
8:29
وَإِذْيَمْكُرُبِكَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟لِيُثْبِتُوكَأَوْيَقْتُلُوكَأَوْيُخْرِجُوكَ ۚوَيَمْكُرُونَوَيَمْكُرُٱللَّهُ ۖوَٱللَّهُخَيْرُٱلْمَـٰكِرِينَ
l-mākirīnakhayruwal-lahul-lahuwayamkuruwayamkurūnayukh'rijūkaawyaqtulūkaawliyuth'bitūkakafarūalladhīnabikayamkuruwa-idh
And whenplottedagainst youthose whodisbelievedthat they restrain youorkill youordrive you outAnd they were planningand (also) was planningAllahAnd Allahis (the) Best(of) the Planners
8:30
وَإِذَاتُتْلَىٰعَلَيْهِمْءَايَـٰتُنَاقَالُوا۟قَدْسَمِعْنَالَوْنَشَآءُلَقُلْنَامِثْلَهَـٰذَآ ۙإِنْهَـٰذَآإِلَّآأَسَـٰطِيرُٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnaasāṭīruillāhādhāinhādhāmith'lalaqul'nānashāulawsamiʿ'nāqadqālūāyātunāʿalayhimtut'lāwa-idhā
And whenare recitedto themOur Versesthey sayVerilywe have heardifwe wishsurely, we could saylikethisNotis thisbuttales(of) the former (people)
8:31
وَإِذْقَالُوا۟ٱللَّهُمَّإِنكَانَهَـٰذَاهُوَٱلْحَقَّمِنْعِندِكَفَأَمْطِرْعَلَيْنَاحِجَارَةًۭمِّنَٱلسَّمَآءِأَوِٱئْتِنَابِعَذَابٍأَلِيمٍۢ
alīminbiʿadhābini'tināawil-samāiminaḥijāratanʿalaynāfa-amṭirʿindikaminl-ḥaqahuwahādhākānainl-lahumaqālūwa-idh
And whenthey saidO AllahIfwasthis[it]the truth[of]from Youthen (send) rainupon us(of) stonesfromthe skyorbring (upon) usa punishmentpainful
8:32
وَمَاكَانَٱللَّهُلِيُعَذِّبَهُمْوَأَنتَفِيهِمْ ۚوَمَاكَانَٱللَّهُمُعَذِّبَهُمْوَهُمْيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
yastaghfirūnawahummuʿadhibahuml-lahukānawamāfīhimwa-antaliyuʿadhibahuml-lahukānawamā
But notis(for) Allahthat He punishes themwhile you(are) among themand notisAllahthe One Who punishes themwhile theyseek forgiveness
8:33
وَمَالَهُمْأَلَّايُعَذِّبَهُمُٱللَّهُوَهُمْيَصُدُّونَعَنِٱلْمَسْجِدِٱلْحَرَامِوَمَاكَانُوٓا۟أَوْلِيَآءَهُۥٓ ۚإِنْأَوْلِيَآؤُهُۥٓإِلَّاٱلْمُتَّقُونَوَلَـٰكِنَّأَكْثَرَهُمْلَايَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūnalāaktharahumwalākinnal-mutaqūnaillāawliyāuhuinawliyāahukānūwamāl-ḥarāmil-masjidiʿaniyaṣuddūnawahuml-lahuyuʿadhibahumuallālahumwamā
But what(is) for themthat not(should) punish themAllahwhile theyhinder (people)fromAl-MasjidAl-Haraamwhile notthey areits guardiansNot (can be)its guardiansexceptthe ones who fear Allahbutmost of them(do) notknow
8:34
وَمَاكَانَصَلَاتُهُمْعِندَٱلْبَيْتِإِلَّامُكَآءًۭوَتَصْدِيَةًۭ ۚفَذُوقُوا۟ٱلْعَذَابَبِمَاكُنتُمْتَكْفُرُونَ
takfurūnakuntumbimāl-ʿadhābafadhūqūwataṣdiyatanmukāanillāl-baytiʿindaṣalātuhumkānawamā
And notwastheir prayeratthe Houseexceptwhistlingand clappingSo tastethe punishmentbecauseyou used todisbelieve
8:35
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوا۟يُنفِقُونَأَمْوَٰلَهُمْلِيَصُدُّوا۟عَنسَبِيلِٱللَّهِ ۚفَسَيُنفِقُونَهَاثُمَّتَكُونُعَلَيْهِمْحَسْرَةًۭثُمَّيُغْلَبُونَ ۗوَٱلَّذِينَكَفَرُوٓا۟إِلَىٰجَهَنَّمَيُحْشَرُونَ
yuḥ'sharūnajahannamailākafarūwa-alladhīnayugh'labūnathummaḥasratanʿalayhimtakūnuthummafasayunfiqūnahāl-lahisabīliʿanliyaṣuddūamwālahumyunfiqūnakafarūalladhīnainna
Indeedthose whodisbelievethey spendtheir wealthto hinder (people)from(the) way(of) AllahSo they will spend itthenit will befor thema regretthenthey will be overcomeAnd those whodisbelievetoHellthey will be gathered
8:36
لِيَمِيزَٱللَّهُٱلْخَبِيثَمِنَٱلطَّيِّبِوَيَجْعَلَٱلْخَبِيثَبَعْضَهُۥعَلَىٰبَعْضٍۢفَيَرْكُمَهُۥجَمِيعًۭافَيَجْعَلَهُۥفِىجَهَنَّمَ ۚأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْخَـٰسِرُونَ
l-khāsirūnahumuulāikajahannamafīfayajʿalahujamīʿanfayarkumahubaʿḍinʿalābaʿḍahul-khabīthawayajʿalal-ṭayibiminal-khabīthal-lahuliyamīza
That may distinguishAllahthe wickedfromthe goodand placethe wickedsome of themonothersand heap themall togetherand put theminHellThose they(are) the losers
8:37
قُللِّلَّذِينَكَفَرُوٓا۟إِنيَنتَهُوا۟يُغْفَرْلَهُممَّاقَدْسَلَفَوَإِنيَعُودُوا۟فَقَدْمَضَتْسُنَّتُٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīnasunnatumaḍatfaqadyaʿūdūwa-insalafaqadmālahumyugh'faryantahūinkafarūlilladhīnaqul
Sayto those whodisbelieveifthey ceasewill be forgivenfor themwhat[verily](is) pastBut ifthey returnthen verilypreceded(the) practice(of) the former (people)
8:38
وَقَـٰتِلُوهُمْحَتَّىٰلَاتَكُونَفِتْنَةٌۭوَيَكُونَٱلدِّينُكُلُّهُۥلِلَّهِ ۚفَإِنِٱنتَهَوْا۟فَإِنَّٱللَّهَبِمَايَعْمَلُونَبَصِيرٌۭ
baṣīrunyaʿmalūnabimāl-lahafa-innaintahawfa-inilillahikulluhul-dīnuwayakūnafit'natuntakūnalāḥattāwaqātilūhum
And fight themuntilnotthere isoppressionand isthe religionall of itfor AllahBut ifthey ceasethen indeedAllahof whatthey do(is) All-Seer
8:39
وَإِنتَوَلَّوْا۟فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟أَنَّٱللَّهَمَوْلَىٰكُمْ ۚنِعْمَٱلْمَوْلَىٰوَنِعْمَٱلنَّصِيرُ
l-naṣīruwaniʿ'mal-mawlāniʿ'mamawlākuml-lahaannafa-iʿ'lamūtawallawwa-in
And ifthey turn awaythen knowthatAllah(is) your ProtectorExcellent(is) the Protectorand Excellent(is) the Helper
8:40
